✓ New Word SolitaireThe new version is a lemon! Why meddle with a excellent game and completely ruin it? It is now garish, money-grabbing (purchase "gems" each time you are stuck instead of just burning the letter), letters that balloon unnecessarily and distractingly when you move it, screen cluttered and non-intuitive. The original game did not win an award for nothing!.Version: 3.0
✓ Loved the old one much better!So sad they're letting go of the original game. It was clean and simple, no irritants like the constant ads on this one. I reached level 1000 twice with the original one and I'll still play on it as long as possible. I deeply regret purchasing the new version. ✓ I WANT THE OLD VERSION!!!Had I rated the original, I would have given it 5 stars. I HATE THE NEW VERSION!!! I got a new iPad so had to download the current version...it’s awful. I have counted on the prior version of this game for years to help distract me and let go of the craziness of my day. It has helped me sleep much better cuz I don’t go to bed still reviewing the day’s events. With the new version, if I’m stuck and can’t fairly easily work through it, I can’t switch to a new game. That slows me down and I return to reviewing my day, which defeats the entire purpose of the game for me. I’m done. It’s too frustrating now. ✓ Previous Version Much BetterThan this version . I paid to remove the ads but now you are spamming me with ads for the new version . You seem to expect us to pay again to remove ads from new version that I don't like and I don't know if paying again will remove your ads from first version again so that I can continue playing it . ✓ Where did they go?The original version seemed like there were real people behind it. I liked their quotes and comments. I guess they sold out, in more ways than one. I hate playing in portrait mode. How hard can it be to make it turnable? I hate the childish look. But the main thing I miss is the list of top words and scores I had earned. Now I kind of feel like “what’s the point?” But since the bad reviews go back 3 years I guess there is no hope for a return to what was my favorite game..Version: 4.0
✓ So sad!I downloaded this game many years ago and it was much cleaner. It didn’t have tha casino table background, nor the cowboy like font on the cards. And I don’t know what’s up with the earning and trading of gems and jewels. Ughh! So annoying. I can’t even see where to push to start a game. ✓ DisappointedThe older version was one of my favorites. I downloaded the new -- based on the notice that the original would no longer be supported. I paid 1.99 for no ads -- only to get an ad I have to tap -- twice -- between each round. Ads for your games still equal ads. Then I realize to throw away a card you have to use "gems" -- which of course are for sale. So disappointed -- everyone needs to turn a profit but basic play on a paid app should be free. Plus the new interface is clunky on an iPad. Disappointed and will be looking for another option..Version: 3.0

✓ FrustratingApp has some serious issues. If you play the daily challenge and are proficient enough to be in the top 20 be prepared to have your results not show. Very frustrating. As well as scores being posted that do not match your results. As well as not showing the winners results as in the legacy version. Fix these problems and the app deserves 5 stars. 826 score not show today..Version: 3.0
✓ Cheap substitute!What a horrible cheap, junk-filled substitute for a formerly elegant game. I have a played the old game (far too much!) for around 10 years. Everyone I know loved it. Why on earth they felt the need to redesign as a gaudy 3-ring circus of bad graphics and junk is beyond me. Perhaps they were able to monitize it more. I don’t know - I didn’t stick around to find out. I erased it. The old one still exists, but now crashes a lot. ✓ Censored WordsStarted playing this a lot recently, and I just discovered a few minutes ago that the app won’t recognize or accept “Christmas” or “Christian” as words. That is bizarre. It accepted “diocese” a few minutes ago - maybe their censors need time to disallow more words? It’s also frustrating, besides being weirdly anti-Christian. Often the game won’t allow you to build potential words (like placing - making this up as an example - an “i” after “seismic”, which could be “seismically”). It’s inconsistent: “Swede” is accepted but not “Texan”. The instructions are abysmal. Another love/hate game. :(..Version: 4.0

✓ UnderwhelmingThis game has lots of potential but is disappointing. There isn’t enough support or help as the games get increasingly difficult. Eg. When you try to move a card over to another row, sometimes it will stay and sometimes it won’t. Why? It doesn’t matter if the row you’re moving to contains a real word or a nonsense word. When I got the notice at the bottom of the screen that the old version was no longer being supported, I thought it was getting a major upgrade. Well the "upgrade" is major but it is horrible. ✓ Heartbroken and furiousI am devastated that one of my favorite games is being destroyed in this way. The new version is hideously ugly. Despite the fact that I originally paid for it, I am now expected to pay for it again to get rid of ads. And the delightfully clean game play has been replaced by that awful Candy Crush-style cash cow milking machine of in-app purchases. ✓ TOTAL CASH GRABThe first game was great so I thought I'd buy the newest version and have many hours of enjoyment. After completing level 1/52 I discovered that I didn't have enough "Puzzle Gems" to start level 2. I guess it was my lucky day because for more of my hard earned cash I could have the privilege of starting level 2/52!! Needless to say that didn't happen.
