✓ Annoying glitch?I’ve been recording for a month, with about 20 videos stored on the app. However I opened the app 1st day of February and all of my videos are gone without me doing anything. Unfortunately I didn’t save them to my own camera roll so I can’t even retrieve them. Really disappointing because I was enjoying using the app..Version: 2.16.1
✓ Thumbs up!This app is really good to use to capture many aspects of your life and to remind you of your year, I’ve been using this app on and off for about a year and then I forgot about the app and deleted it but now that I have re-downloaded this app it shows everything I’ve done throughout the year and let’s me add it all in so my progress is still there, I recommend this app because a little clip a day can really show you what a great year you have had! xoxo- GG.Version: 2.19.4
✓ Deleted all my videos (updated)So it told me to like make an account using an email so I did and it deleted my years work of videos and I’m not very happy. It’s going to take me a long time to add all those back in. If anyone else had that problem let me know. I still love the app though. Update: talked with Jon and he helped me solve the problem! He was very nice throughout the whole process. If you ever have a problem just contact them and they will definitely help you.Version: 2.17.0
✓ Time length glitchI love everything about this app so far with one issue! My pictures and videos are set to play 1 second each, and every time I preview my full video compilation it would play 1 second each like it’s supposed to. Just yesterday it started playing just the first one at a full second, but the rest of the pictures are racing by at about 3 pictures per second. It’s doesn’t give me enough time to look at and enjoy them, and it’s not even supposed to do this! PLEASE HELP! Is there anything I can do to fix it? Or can you check if there’s a glitch that can be fixed on your end? Thanks in advance..Version: 2.23.1
✓ PerfectI love this app. It is very simple, but that is perfect in this case. So many apps try to do too much, but this app does one thing very well: making 1-second video montages. Every update makes the app that much better and I have loved seeing how my year plays out with this app. I have used other apps like this one, but none work as well as Leap Second does..Version: 2.16.1
✓ Problems after update?I have had this app since 2017 and love it!! my only problem is that i bought the pro version a while ago and that enabled me to add a video to a day that wasn’t really from that day, i had been doing this for 3 years but suddenly now it’s not working! i love this app but if i can’t use this feature anymore, which i literally paid for, i’ll have to find a new app for my one second videos :/.Version: 2.28.0

✓ Switched from 1SE1SE did what it did, poorly. But it did it I stopped using the app when their confounded team released the worst UX update I have ever seen for a software product back in March I got sad thinking about what it did for me and went looking on the App Store I subscribed to pro already. Really simple and does what 1SE did without horrible design I accidentally used the wrong email to sign up. I had filled out A few months when I deleted the account to sign up it erased all my data. NOT GOOD Also the preview is never exact and the actual trimmed clip that gets used is almost always 0.2 seconds smaller which makes it hard to select the EXACT clip.Version: 2.23.3
✓ I love it! (but...)This is without a doubt my favourite app! I take so much pride in showing people my video of the days. However for some reason, on the 8th August, I always try to add my Live Photo in which usually works as the majority of my nearly 300 videos are from Live Photos. But it doesn’t work! I’ve got 2 photos from that day and neither work. My sister has the same problem on her phone with the 8th August! It must be some issue with that particular day. So I’m wondering if this can possibly be fixed? But thank you for creating such a fab app, I recommend to all!.Version: 2.23.3

✓ 10 months in and loving this app!I’ve been documenting 2022 with this app and it has been really great. There was some trouble with exporting videos for a while, but I contacted the developers and they gave some really useful steps that fixed the issue. Definitely recommend!.Version: 3.6.1

✓ Everything requires money(only rating up so people see this) i’m sorry but this is NOT a free app. if you want to do, basically anything, you need to pay a subscription which is stupidly expensive for a video journal app. it used to be a lot easier, too many updates and the creates got money hungry..Version: 3.2.1
✓ Awesome, except ONE problem!I love being able to post multiple videos per day, the calendar is great, and I like that you can extend videos to 5 seconds with the pro version (I think 1 second is too short). This is an awesome app!! HOWEVER, one thing I really hate about this app is the video trimmer. It’s really difficult to select which specific part of the video you want to trim. Every time I want to choose a clip to trim, I have to watch the whole video, take note of the exact second that I want the clip to be trimmed, restart the video, pause exactly at that second, then press “trim”. I’m not sure if there’s an easier way to do it, but if there is I can’t figure it out?? :( PLEASE this app would be literal perfection if only the video trimmer were better. My suggestion: let us “scrub” across the video with a selection box containing the 1-5sec clip, and allow us to dynamically preview the selection before committing to trim. Pls I would even pay extra money for this. ANYWAYS I love this app please make it more perfect I will tell all my friends about it <3 Edit: ALSO I wanted to add - I would like to see some of the added features that are present in the original second a day app. Such as: create different timelines, export specific clips as one video, enter daily mood/notes, etc. I would love these features. The main selling point of your app, however, is the fact that I can post multiple videos in a day!.Version: 2.4.3
✓ Creates a consumable version of pictures/videosI love this app and have been using it for a couple years now. I love being able to watch the year in review in a quick 20-30 minutes. I have thousands of pictures and hundreds of videos on my phone of my kids but this app helps me get it down to a consumable form. I feel like this app is clean and very user friendly. Many of the issues people state in the reviews have either been addressed by the developer or can be fixed by upgrading the app. Memory keeping is a high priority for me and this app a key tool in this endeavor..Version: 3.1.1

✓ Not good at allI’m sorry but this is not a good app. it was great while I had it, I could upload videos for each day without any problems. But after the first month, EVERYTHING disappeared. I couldn’t retrieve any of the videos so all of my memories are lost. it’s annoying when you can’t even go back and add in any of the videos. so pointless. Not happy..Version: 2.16.1
✓ Simple and fun little app!Great app I made a video of my travels whilst away on my gap year. I would say it’s slightly annoying that you have to add the music every time you go into the app also it can’t crop stuff to portrait size for you so I got a second app called video crop so that I could crop some go pro videos to portrait size so that I could fit it into the app without it looking weird. After playing around with percentages I managed to fit each clip perfectly and the video produced was great! Last thing is that sometimes it said it was loading clip but when I exited it after waiting ages it was there already! I exited it every time it had the loading box and was fine but perhaps a glitch that they need to fix with the app!.Version: 2.19.4
✓ Great app, enjoying the experience!I reserve 5 stars for either great customer service or a fantastic concept and execution. PROS: Leap Second offers users an easy, functional way to document our lives in short form, making it possible to reflect on a month, or year, within a super reasonable time span. Being able to pick either a photo or video is great. The reminder option is great. CONS: I get that this is intellectual property and the developers should make money from their work! Totally support that. I just think the upgrades could be a little cheaper, and that we don’t have to pay over and over to add one little thing here and there. Not sure I’m thrilled about having paid for several features on different occasions! Meh. Overall, though, this is a really great lite app. What makes it most special is that it offers me a certain time every day to pause and reflect on my life, and to consider how I want to frame what was truly important that day. ✓ Empty albumIf you purchase the backup, it’s default setting for storage is to add a hidden (empty) album in your photos app. If you delete it, it deletes everything in leap second. I just noticed that if you click to add pictures (after your accidentally delete everything) the previous picture you chose is still there to choose from. Removed a star because customer service couldn’t help me figure it out and I feel like they should warn you about the album..Version: 2.23.1
✓ GR8App!!❤️I think this app is amazing, it has wonderful purpose and I enjoy getting friends and doing things to create a video every day!! I have a few recommendations, The creators should add stickers (cute modern almost like the idea of certain events and modern quotes) and funny face filters that people can add to their videos and added text to make them more original! ✓ Great app but....Everytime I go to preview (and export) the overall video the app will load to the preview screen stay blank (white) and then crash. I’ve tried restarting the app, restarting my phone. I even deleted the app entirely and reuploaded all the videos I had. Yet it still won’t work. ✓ Almost perfectLove this app so far! It was so good I upgraded to pro and I can’t remember the last time I’ve spent money on an app (probably years). There has been an issue with volume of my clips being really low. I’m not sure if this is a known issue but once restart the app the clips come back to full volume. ✓ Pretty goodGlad I got this as a direct purchase before it went to a subscription model. It's been great, and definitely worth the $15 i paid for it. I exported a full year video without any problems. Couple quirks have come up recently: - The font on exported vid recently changed to Times New Roman and I preferred the more modern look of the previous font. - The preview button before trimming a video shows a clip that is longer than 1 sec. So it makes it hard to trim the clip properly because when you replay it after trimming, it's missing some of the frames that were initially shown in the preview..Version: 2.23.3
✓ Lost everything but paid for backup storageI paid for the leap second pro app, and after 6 months of working on my timeline, the app updated and deleted all of my videos that were supposed to be saved to the app. I have tried to contact customer service and each time they reply to me it takes a day and a half...very upsetting do not buy this app if you value your videos and want a secure backup service..Version: 2.16.1
✓ Great Application & Customer ServiceI really enjoy using this app. My wife and I take an international vacation every year and I was terrible at keeping a journal. This app changed that by making it fun to log the sites we experienced everyday. Unlike other applications, this app allows multiple snippets a day at any length (Pro version required) so you are not limited to a second or two a day. I had a question about the app and I emailed the developer. Within an hour I had my answer. Prompt service goes a long way with me. ✓ Exactly what I was looking forI was looking for an option to record one second videos each day and this meets my needs! There is a free version and a version that you pay for if you want the extra features. The date comes up on the bottom of the video and you can choose two per day if you can’t choose just one! I have had to get into the habit of carrying my phone with me so that I can capture what I want.Version: 2.16.1

✓ Good but could be greatI love the idea behind the concept and was impressed at the functionality of this app (I upgraded to Pro), but the UX is still a little rough around the edges. When you select a date to import media, I wish it would just show you if you have any photos or videos in that day without having to tap the photo icon to reveal them. Also, when you’re in the screen to select moments to add to your day, seeing the “select” screen pop up and having to tap “select” every time after you’ve already dragged and dropped it is really annoying (doesn’t it defeat the purpose of dragging and dropping?). Once you drag and drop it would nice if you could scroll through them sideways to X out any you want to remove. There are more things like this that if finessed would really make this app stand out; I already like it more than the original 1SE app!.Version: 2.5.5
✓ Good and easy, but lost all footageThis app was really easy to use and it was fun. However, at the end of January when it became February, I lost all the footage from January that I recorded on the app itself. Also, I had to put in the clips for the days that I had videos saved in my camera roll all over again. This app was working great and I was excited to see a full video at the end of 2019, but now I’m so sad to see all the footage go. ✓ GreatAug 6 updated to 5 stars bc I downloaded the update and can export my video. I like the idea of the app, I like that you can increase your clip to 2-5 seconds if you wanted to, and most of all I like that you can add multiple videos from the same day. The largest con is that I cannot seem to export/share my video once it’s created. I want to have it as a file on my computer, and in order to do that I need to share and download the video. I have tried multiple times, restarted my phone, shared different sections and the app keeps quitting on me. It looks like it’s working to about 90% and then the app will just crash. And that is exporting the lowest resolution, and only trying to export one year at a time-nothing more than that. The inability to export my file renders the app useless to me. I emailed customer support but haven’t received any reply..Version: 2.9.0
