✓ Superior 4K PlaybackUpon purchasing an iPhone 11 Pro, I couldn’t wait to test out the display with an episode of Planet Earth II ripped from my UHD Blu-Ray set. Unfortunately, my excitement immediately turned to disappointment when playback was so choppy as to be unwatchable. I proceeded to try VLC, Player Xtreme & N Player; none of these were able to play it smoothly. I had never heard of S Player, but I gave it a go and BAM!..Perfect playback. ✓ Privacy - Thank YouI have never wrote a review in my life. It is so difficult these days to find an app that respects Privacy. I am willing to pay for it. Even though it hasn’t shown me any ads I am willing to pay for the remove ads for $9.99 option. When I try to do it it won’t let me in my region. I am in the United States. My main reason for this app is to loop and slow down short Guitar riff videos that I have. It works well. If I were to add to it for my particular use it would be to add in addition to the half speed a quarter and a three quarter speed options as well. To make it even better would be to add a setting that I can turn off the HUD until I tap on the screen. As it is with a short 15 second video the HUD is in the way for half of it each time the video loops. I realize this is not picking about something this app wasn’t designed for, but there are a lot of us Guitar players in the World and I for one have been searching for this app for years. Please fix the region issue so I can pay for ad removal even though I get no ads..Version: 1.8.68

✓ Does a great job and does it superbly. Simply the BEST media player I've usedFirst off, let me say I have downloaded and tested a lot of media players and this is, quite simply, the best I've used- which is quite something considering it is free! Usually a lot of the free versions are either full of annoying ads, or they restrict a fair bit of functionality- not so this app. It just works; In fact, it doesn't stop working- it is ROCK SOLID. I haven't yet experienced a crash. There are plenty of good media apps for playing video- so why is this app so good? I use it to stream movies off of a portable microSD wifi streaming device- I connect to the device and stream, either using SMB or DLNA protocol. This app connects over SMB- the browsing of network shares, and stability of the connection is great- even better is the speed at which it plays the media. It uses hardware acceleration on the videos, and it hasn't yet failed to play all the many flv, AVI, MP4 variations I've thrown at it- and it starts playing the video in a couple of seconds- there's no long wait as it attempts to convert on the fly. And the stability is top notch..Version: 1.0.24

This can make managing a viewing files between my iPad and other computers a pain because apple will not make a Linux compatible iTunes. ✓ Better than vlcRecently I started to use this app, because of vlc crashed when I watching some mkv video in my iPhone 6s plus. I thought this app was just so so. But, it turns out that it's incredible. I uploaded 20 GB video to watch. One important thing is that I can see all the files that uploaded, including subtitle files, not just video only that like in vlc. It also enables us to choose different subtitle for the video, as well as edit the timeline of the subtitle. ✓ Some improvement to settings are neededThe app can play the files from ios “ Files” improvements i would suggest: 1 automatic update to the player menue in the app when a file is added to “ios” as for now i will need to import each addition file 2. currently The app does not remember the setting of file order, for example i like my files to be the newest on the top (it resort to default ) dining e to adjust the setting each tone i open the app 3.
