Good content, poor integrationA few days in and the content is solid. Well designed and produced. Really well done for exercise and yoga at home or on the road. Unfortunately the integration with the Apple Health app is completely non-functional. 3 meditations and 1 workout and none of them have shown up in Apple Health or Activity..Version: 7.5

My favourite workout appI love everything about this app, and I’ve tried a lot of workout apps. The only reason I took a star off is that it’s glitchy. Sometimes the video freezes but the audio continues. Other times it doesn’t record workouts. I connected it to Apple Health but my exercise minutes never transfer. When you contact Support, they ask you to make sure your phone is updated and to dump the app and reinstall it. I’ve done this about a dozen times. It works but what a hassle. I would love if Apple health could communicate with this app, and I will continue using it because the exercises are that good..Version: 10.43

Great but missing some intuitive featuresHello, first I'll share that I really enjoy your app, but have one major hitch in using it as I want to: the workouts are too short and to do many I have to pause too long to scan through and skip the warm up. First and foremost PLEASE add a feature to allow me to skip warm ups (not just cool downs) for when I need to combine workouts to meet my needs. It would also be SOO helpful if you could add a feature allowing users to create "playlists," where we can mix and match our favorite workouts. Being that you provide no workouts longer than 26 minutes (as far as I have seen), these would be vital functions to add for paying subscribers to really get what we need from the app. It would also be great if you would add some longer (45 min+) workouts for each brand you offer (fat burn, strength, flexibility, etc.), but the first 2 are most important for flexibility. I would be recommending you a lot more if these features were available. I gave 3 stars because these features do not exist and I see in other reviews that you have gotten a lot of similar feedback and there doesn’t seem to be a response to that feedback. Thanks for your time!.Version: 5.4

Great for a Short TrialI have had this app on a subscription basis for several months. I really value an app like this when I have a very demanding schedule that doesn’t give much time to go to a gym. This option is on demand. I like the design of the app but the skip preview function stopped working and hasn’t been repaired despite messages to the developers. The option to change music is nice but after several months, I was hoping for more/new options or the ability to sync with my own. Not the case. I was also hoping that there would be more variety between the workouts as well as new material added regularly. There hasn’t been a new workout since I joined and it’s the same ten to fifteen recorded sets put into different orders and branded as a variety of workouts. Overall, it’s great for a short time and then becomes something to decide if you want to keep putting up with after a while. Seeking new options. Wish the developers would update..Version: 3.12.0

Unsure how I feelIt’s a good app but I paid $83.99 thinking the whole app would be unlocked for he year and turns out it isn’t. So not happy..Version: 3.22.0

Was once in loveI used to rave about this app to EVERYONE I know, now... not at all. The last 6 months with this app had been difficult to say the least. There have been a lot of technical and development issues, aka having to restart the app EVERYDAY bc it would freeze, workouts “disappearing” and many more. The most disappointing thing about this app now is that the “coach” feature is gone. THE REASON I had purchased this app. I wanted to pick a goal style program aka “fat burn” or “Bikini body” and just have to open up my app and click the days workout because it was a 4-6 week guided program. I enjoy yoga but i don’t have a degree or certification in the best way to go about my program, that’s why I purchased the app and now that feature is GONE. Asana claims that they changed the formatting so people could be “free and flexible” with their work out, that’s fine and dandy for those people, but what about us over here who do not want it that way?! Why does it have to be one OR the other? Why can’t you integrate both old and new programs into one app? “Coaches programs” AND being able to be “free and flexible” with doing all of your own choosing? All in all this was once a great app so that’s why I didn’t go below a 3, but I am just so disappointed with the changes they made and I of course have the 1 year subscribe, soo. The changes they’ve made do not make working out easier, now it takes a pep talk to get myself motivated, when I used to be excited.Version: 4.7

*UPDATED**UPDATE* July 2019 This app could be great and I will tell you how: Longer workouts. Longer, better Savasana. BRING THE COACH BACK AS AN OPTION or at least make plans that you can start and follow so that you don’t have to dig through and pick a workout every time you open the app. Better music and the option to listen to your own music. Some sort of goal system. Community system. But mostly, please bring back the coach feature, please and thank you. *UPDATE* Speaking of update, when are you guys going to update by adding more workouts/programs?! I have done everything! Also more music options or the option to listen to your own music. The option to do multiple programs at once, A LONGER SAVASANA, a better goal system. Original Review: I am a long time AR user, and I truly love it, but there are a few things that would make it better. 1. The Savasana could be longer/better. I look forward to relaxing/stretching at the end, but it barely lasts long enough for me to get settled on the ground. 2. There need to be optional stand alone warm up and cool downs, especially if you pay for the app. 3. There need to be more programs/variations and more challenging ones at that. 4. I miss being able to preview what exercises I am about to do before a workout! I'm mad that got changed after the last couple of updates. That's all I can think of for now. Love you guys and thanks for a great app!.Version: 6.4

I used to love this app...I’ve been using Asana Rebel for around a year now, and while I’ve loved it for the majority of that time, recent changes have left me really disappointed. I really relied on the free daily workout as I am a student and a little overweight, but that has now disappeared, being labelled as a ‘bug fix’. I’ve gotten around that by choosing a different one of the five free workouts everyday. However, tuning in this morning and choosing ‘fat burn’, I discovered that it has changed. There are no previews for each exercise anymore, and the poses aren’t even introduced or explained very well, so I found it very difficult to keep up with the demonstration. Also, the whole workout is now just one set, so if I get lost in the middle of the third exercise , I can’t even restart it, I have to go back to the beginning! Also, some of the poses shown, like puppy pose, despite having the same name, are different to previous workouts. I know yogis do have variations on different poses, but since this is still the same app, I’d have expected some consistency. I have noticed a change in my body and attitude since using asana rebel, and up until the start of 2018, I would’ve given it 5 stars. As such, the changes in workouts and the limited free option aren’t encouraging me to fork out for a subscription, which I was tempted to do for my New Years resolution. Not all updates are necessarily for the better! As an avid user of the app, I’m pretty disappointed..Version: 3.17.1

Good workouts, app clunkyThe app has many good ideas and features. The workouts are excellent and nice lengths. Loads of hip mobility things and challenging which is perfect. However, the app isn’t easy to use. I signed up to a 14 day program but I’ve never managed to find day two 🤷‍♀️🤯. It’s a shame as this kind of thing would be really helpful for motivation. There’s no easy way of getting the reminders to work as I think they’re designed to - they’d be great if they did. The app is desperate for me to post my workouts on social media which I hate! I want a good record for me and then I’ll recommend but as it is, although the workouts are good, I’m unlikely to renew. Hopefully they can make some changes to sort these problems out..Version: 8.18

Not user friendly for beginnersI haven’t exercised for a while and was assuming there would be some programmes for beginners or that I’d be able to search by, or filter by, difficultly level. However that doesn’t seem to be the case so when I look at an exercise I have no idea whether it’s suitable and waste a lot of time skipping through videos to try and understand the difficulty level. If I could cancel I would but unfortunately I’ve already paid up front for an app that isn’t suitable for me at all..Version: 8.25

Repetitive, dull and gimmickyUnfortunately this was such a letdown. Here is why. - The yoga-based workouts all seem to use a handful of basic poses and just repeat them several times over. Instead of using yoga poses to build on and add dynamic movement, the yoga angle is just a gimmick. - The non-yoga workouts are reminiscent of bad 80s TV aerobic exercises: just repetitions of things like jumping jacks or knee-highs, and the sets of 2-5 movements are repeated twice or more to call it a “workout”. Extremely tedious and boring. - The longer workouts are mostly warm-up and cool-down: in a 28 minute workout, less than half is actual exercising. - Even the high intensity workouts burn barely more calories than a brisk walk according to my Apple Watch. What a disappointing product. Fortunately I was able to get a refund for my subscription at least. But sadly I cannot recommend this..Version: 8.23

Gros bugJe viens d’acheter cet app je ne n’arrive même pas à y accéder tellement sa bug!.Version: 8.6

So far, averageI have had the app downloaded 4 months and I’m not hooked. NB I am purely using it for the yoga and not the nutrition or meditation side. I would prefer to be able to see different positions each exercise covers, instead of hoping I have chosen the correct exercise based off the description. Some tutorials are slow on their commands so when I am in a position and they say to move, when I look at the screen they are ahead and I am unsure how they got into it. I am not a beginner to yoga so this is something I find strange that the voice and video do not sync. I also find that the position they have their camera, it’s very hard to see what they are doing specifically. I have found there are a lot more beginner exercises - whether the app has assumed I am a beginner and I have to do these collections/exercises first to then be recommended more challenging ones, I’m not sure? There are some good tutors on the app and I enjoy their yoga style as well as their commands and filming. I am only continuing to us the app as I have paid for the premium membership (however I am unsure what this means and how long I have it for). However I don’t think I will renew it..Version: 10.41

Good attemptThey tried making a workout app. It would be nice to preview what exercises the workouts will be going through in case I want to use equipment (sandbag, vest, weights, bands etc) that way I can have it ready. Also, it took me way too long to get logged on and there are not as many workout options as I had hoped for. Wish I could have previewed the app before paying for the subscription. Overall it’s just “meh”.Version: 8.4

ExercicesCe sont de bons mouvements mais pour une personne de mon poids (185 lb) je trouve que les exercices sont trop difficile pour moi je pensais que cela serait plus facile j arrive pas à faire la moitié des exercices. Merci.Version: 8.14

Not A Fan Of The Changes :(I’ve been using the app for over a year and used to really enjoy doing the daily workouts which were built around my available equipment, time restraints and goals. Since the changes that were made at the beginning of 2018, I haven’t enjoyed doing the new workouts at all. I much preferred the original format of a workout session, comprised of separate exercises that you could pause, restart and skip. I also preferred the (optional) previews before each exercise and the explaining of what each exercise was beneficial for. Since the update some of the workouts are called different names but are a carbon copy of each other and I find it difficult to keep up with the workouts, especially when the exercises aren’t explained beforehand. Plus there’s just too many workout options. I have a 12 month subscription and I also had one last year but I definitely won’t be renewing after this term is up. I used to really look forward to using the app every morning but now, I only do the short workouts just to get them out of the way and keep on top of my running streak. Very disappointed - they ‘fixed’ something that wasn’t broken..Version: 4.7

Hit & missBeen using the free version doing daily featured exercises and it’s been very hit and miss. Today’s daily flow for instance, some of the poses are done on your back looking up, how are you supposed to follow it with no previews? Audio instructions are certainly not enough to follow the flow without looking at the screen. I really like strength and stamina oriented flows, they are challenging and engage the whole body in a short period of time. However, doing balancing or stretching poses in quick succession is utterly pointless, it doesn’t do anything at all. Sometimes, the pacing of some of the flows is too fast and it’s difficult to match the breathing to it. It’s still one of the better fitness apps I’ve tried, but I usually end up having to supplement my workout with a few proper yoga poses and some slow stretching. I’ll keep using it, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s not worth $60/year..Version: 3.11.1

Features + variety = great! Technical support...not so muchAsana Rebel overall is my favorite way of practicing yoga; I’ve used it for over a year now. I like the coaching plans and workouts; Asana recently made an overhaul of its workouts and I like them - within a routine, there isn’t any repetition (I get bored easily). Downsides: with the new version, you can’t mirror workouts to your TV, even if you have an Apple mobile device and Apple TV. The app seems to believe you’re trying to record the workout, based on the error message you get. Yes, there is an Apple TV Asana Rebel app. Two dealbreaker problems with it: A) 4 out of 5 times, the TV app freezes during a workout, and there is no way to continue from that point other than starting over. Nope. B) The two apps (TV and mobile) don’t always talk to each other. They usually don’t talk with my Apple Watch either. I like the workouts enough to continue to subscribe, but if there were ever a dealbreaker issue with the mobile device app, I’d have a decision to make. I’ve reached out to technical support about the above issues, but there’s been no resolution..Version: 3.17.1

Still no accessI bought a year membership. The purchases went through and my credit card was charged. Now it's days later and I still don't have access to the content and no one is replying to my emails. Will have to go through my credit card company to cancel this purchase..Version: 8.7

Programmes disappearI’ve been loving the app and the structure of the programmes, until all of a sudden the icon to access the programme I was halfway through disappeared. I contacted Asana but have had no support. It’s incredibly frustrating when you just want to follow a programme but have no way to access it through the app. Not a great UX... I’m in two minds about cancelling the subscription and finding another app..Version: 3.21.3

Love the workouts, user experience is quite crapThe workouts themselves are great and that’s the main point, but it’s annoying to navigate back to where you were, it’s annoying that there is no home page showing for example that you were half way through a challenge so you can just continue where you left off. Instead you get a today page which is annoying if you don’t want to go through a daily list of things. I just want to workout rather than answer a quiz or look at recipes that aren’t relevant to me - in fact, I put in that I’m on a keto diet and the recipes that come up are definitely not keto - again, annoying. So to get back into my current challenge, which should be somewhere I can immediately access it, instead I have to go back through as if I was just finding it for the first time. Also, if you do one of your challenge workouts but don’t do it from the challenge screen (which I had to do one day as it didn’t log that I had done the previous workout so wouldn’t let me move on to the next, so I had to find it in the main list), it then didn’t register in the challenge that I had done that second workout. So I had to go to the challenge, start it and let it play through so it registered as done. Super annoying..Version: 8.19

No trial at allI got a subscription, and the content is less than average. No levels. All of the bodies are these ripped figures and not a lot if curating content to guide someone safely through a journey..Version: 9.15

No se puede evaluar antes de suscribirseNo ofrece un ensayo o vidéo para ver cómo son las clases, música, ritmo, profesores, ambiente, duración, idiomas … te lleva directo a la suscripción son poder hacer una prueba :(.Version: 10.38

Used to be greatThis used to be the best app. I used it everyday and it was the only yoga app I had. Ever since the update a while back I have had nothing but problems. I have a subscription but it keeps locking me out and not giving me access to any content. I have contacted the developers numerous times and been given complex work arounds that don’t work and the. The next time I still can’t access anything - even my past workouts. I have been paying for a subscription that I can’t use. This is a yoga app it is suppose to help with making me calm not adding to my stress..Version: 4.3

Keep charging my credit cardBuyer beware- they will keep charging your credit card without any notification by email in advance..Version: 10.41

Used to love but now on the fenceWhen I first started using this app there were coaching programs that you could choose from such as “fat burn”, etc. and I love that. It gave you a designated workout for that day and if you chose to do an additional workout(s) you could. But then I stopped using the app because life got in the way and I went back to my actual gym. I had taken time off due to a back issue but still wanted to work out and I knew a yoga inspired workout would have been a great option. When I started using this app again, they completely changed everything and the coaches program I once loved was no longer an option and I instead had to choose the workout I wanted to do. Which is great to an extent until you know really know which one to choose, and you spend more time choosing a workout instead of actually working out. I wish they would change things back to how they were, or at least add that option back in. Slightly disappointed with this app now and I have the yearly subscription that of course just auto renewed last month.....Version: 4.24

Classic Bait and SwitchThere is no free content to let you check out the content. If you click to try the 7 day free trial, you are asked to authorize a $CDN73 yearly payment. Avoid this fraudulent app!.Version: 3.12.1

Great When it WorksI’ve had trouble with projecting this app onto my tv. I cannot get the built-in feature to cast the video on the screen, so I was going about it by using the screen mirror on my iphone and going in that way. This worked for a while, but now when I try to do this, I can’t get the asana thumbnails to work without closing out the app multiple times and trying again. Other times, when I do get the thumbnails to work and I get to press “start workout”, the sound will play but the video will not (on both the tv and the phone). Still other times, the video will play but it won’t turn to landscape mode so I only see the very middle of the yoga mat…and still others, I will get the bottom left corner of the video. I do not know what is going on, but it is very frustrating. It often will take 5 minutes of me closing out the app and trying again and again before everything comes together. It would be a great app if these features would work. I love the videos when I can get them on my tv screen!.Version: 10.34

PaymentI would like to receive a refund. I was sold on a monthly subscription based on the annual fee of $47.99+tax. Yet my credit card was charged in full. I cancelled the subscription and deleted the app. Please refund my credit card for a minimum of 12 months plus tax..Version: 8.7

Won’t useI don’t know when I downloaded this app but haven’t used it in a long time or never started. I put a one star review because I wanted the developer and company to know that having a good product (app) and good reviews are important and I’m not going to use this app as I’ve seen so many bad reviews. To be fair, with most apps or any subscription service, you are responsible for cancelling. They aren’t going to remind you to renew every month, so for all those that forgot to cancel stop complaining about that, own it and move on. However making it difficult to cancel is another thing entirely. Ultimately, from what I’ve seen about the poor interface and more of a focus on yoga (not the fitness they promise as well) and the shady difficulties to cancel your subscription, I won’t even try this app. Brands have to do better..Version: 10.43

Can’t RecommendI was initially really pumped to try this out! I paid for the yearly membership but ultimately only ended up using it for a couple months. I wasn’t a big fan of the interface, and how the app was set up felt VERY stop and start in my opinion. I was disappointed, but hey, at least I tried it out. I let the year roll by without touching the app, I signed up for the year- that’s on me. However, I was not expecting to see a $42CAD charge to my card at the beginning of the year. I reached out to customer care, and was told a refund was not possible as I “did not request the cancellation of [my] subscription's automatic renewal before it occurred”. I was not notified nor sent a reminder before the renewal date that I would be charged again. Based off of my experience with both the app and service, I feel completely off-put by this company and can't recommend it. YouTubing “at-home workout” is a great alternative..Version: 10.40

Music driving me bonkers!I’ve only had this App for 9 days, out of a one year subscription. The repetitive 2 bars of crappy music is driving me crazy and does not put me in the right mind space for yoga. The App instructions say you can change the music under the ‘personalisation’ tab. But you can’t! Not on iPhone, iPad, nor Apple TV. There is no area/tab to change the music. I could turn sound off all together, but I’d like to hear the instructor. Frustrating!.Version: 9.2

All great until you’ve paidThe steps you go through to sign up are so helpful, easy to navigate and lead you to believe this app is going to be great in guiding you through step by step to get fit & healthy. For such an easy and engaging intro, you are then left wondering after payment is made what happened and what you have to do. Could not see any personalised guidance anywhere and fumbled through - decided to start on a workout, but the videos do not work. I restarted the app and tried several times - it’s just a grey screen with background music and zero instruction. No meal plan or anything to be found just a couple of smoothies and a “quiz” that gives you some basic info on sweet potato. I’m sad as I was pretty excited and motivated about this, but it’s just disappointing, I have requested a refund. 2 stars for the excellent marketing prior to payment.Version: 9.15

Unauthorized renewalApp renews automatically without notifying the user and the company refuses to refund! Be careful when you signup and agree to anything..Version: 10.22

Can AR not have the new update?I have been using Asana Rebel for a few months now and it has been awesome!!! But this is mainly for the original colourful version, which I find more effective in toning and more motivating as it runs through a few short exercises. With the original version you’d also get to hold on to a pose longer, which is key and fundamental to yoga exercise. Now I find that AR tries to fit in too many moves/exercises at one time without enough pause to hold a pose. The new update also has a longer section per exercise (with many different poses) which is demotivating. The lack of colour also makes it bland. I suggest for the AR team to bring back its original format which is more fun and scrap its new version which is boring and less effective. Please!!!.Version: 3.18.1

Used to be betterWhen I started using this app, it was great for beginners. The workouts used to give full instructions on how to do each move, and give a helpful preview of each move - but they don’t do this anymore. Each session used to be separated into different moves, but now it’s more like one continuous flow (as is usual with yoga) - but this means the app isn’t very good for beginners anymore, and even I sometimes get lost in the flow because the moves aren’t explained very well. I paid the subscription fee before and though it was a great investment at the time, but I’m not going to subscribe again. I’ve opted to join Yogaia, which is £15 per month so much more expensive, but it’s so much better that I think it’s worth it. Sorry Asana Rebel - you changed too much and not for the better!.Version: 4.2

Terrible customer service relationsI purchased a single year subscription with a one off payment. No subscription record was held within my phone settings, no resubscription emails or invoices were received yet money was directly debited from my PayPal without my knowledge or consent. Upon raising this issue with Asana Rebel they have shirked any reasonable or decent response and told me there is nothing they can do. I feel they have taken unlawfully from me and do not recommend this company or their ethics in their dealings or lack there of. Avoid..Version: 10.39

Terrible UIThis app has a lot of amazing content, but the worst user interface. Here are a few major issues: I set workout reminders, which after a busy week of work popped up with “these reminders clearly aren’t working for you, so we’ll stop them”. Now I don’t have reminders…!? Did I choose this? No. Did I get an option? No. I tried to start a 30 day challenge. After a workout, rather than logging in to see a prompt for ‘let’s get going with the next day of your challenge’, I have to search for the challenge I’d started and remember how many days along I might be. The ‘Hard, Perfect, Easy’ grading system is pointless. Sometimes I might just tired and find a workout hard. This level of grading generates no real user profile which is made obvious by the randomness of their ‘recommended workouts’. I’ve ended up creating my own workout plan which completely negates any use for this app..Version: 10.45.1

I would LOVE it except for one feature…This app is pretty incredible. It has everything, from all levels of workouts, to different lengths of workouts, weight, water, and step tracking, recipe recommendations, health education, and a pretty solid attempt at gamification that should bring you back every day to workout. Why the low review? Because at literally the end of every workout, no matter how long/short/easy/hard it is, there is a prompt to DO ANOTHER ONE, and you can’t turn it off. And there isn’t a way to leave developer feedback on the app, which is the only reason I’m leaving a review. It feels incredibly body shaming and like you’re not doing enough, when one of the selling features of the app is “you don’t have to do very much every day”. And if you’re trying to build yourself up to just doing something, it’s incredibly discouraging, which makes me not recommend it to other people. I’m begging you - please give me a way to turn this off. It’s not helping the way you think it is. Make it optional..Version: 10.10

This is NOT free.Says it is a free app but it isn't. Don't bother downloading unless you are willing to pay an annual fee of $100..Version: 8.2

Ensure you cancel subscription immediately! If you’d like to try this app, make sure you cancel the automatic subscription immediately after you pay for it. After a while you will stop using the app, then you’ll get annoyed at all the notifications so you will turn them off, or indeed delete the app. Then, a month or a year later they will just take a bunch a money from your account with zero warning: not an email or notification to remind you that your subscription is due or to check that you still want it. So now you have just paid another $50 for an app you don’t use and they will refuse to refund your money. So: cancel auto-renew immediately - you can always re-subscribe if you end up using the app..Version: 10.38

Ok, music needs improvement, feels impersonalI like the length of the workouts & ability to Add on if you want to extend it- however when you choose to add more, it asks if you want to add on a “24 min” (for example) workout but really it’s less than that because you have already done a warmup- little glitch that should be fixed just because when trying to figure out if you have time to do more, the time it’s showing you isn’t really correct. Like the instructors voice. The music is SUPER generic, which is probably my biggest complaint. Overall it’s ok, but there is just something a little off about the transitions between warm-up/workout/cool down that feels a little choppy, hate the “music”, and it doesn’t feel super engaging or personal- the instructor occasionally says “good job” or “you’re doing great”, but there is no attempt at eye contact or real engagement from the person on the screen doing the yoga. That’s ok since yoga is a personal practice, but there is also something a little lonely feeling about it, not the most motivating I guess..Version: 4.10

DisappointedContent was good and used for a week but had some bugs and slow to load. Also didn’t load if offline despite downloading content. Issues with being charged an additional $87 a week after already paying $83 for subscription. Pretty inconvenient trying to get money back.Version: 3.17.0

DisappointedI wish I could give this app a rating of zero stars. I’m so sick of apps saying they’re free and then you take the time to fill out your information only to find out it’s anything but free..Version: 8.0

YeurkIt is the same posture but not in the same order , really repetitive.Version: 3.10.4

Ridiculous money-making policiesAfter a year of membership, I received a notification from PayPal that my membership was renewed, but I didn’t want to get it this year and I didn’t receive any reminder. I requested a refund within the first 2 hours from receiving the email, without using the service for months at that point. Aside from the fact that getting help from the app/your phone is close to impossible (please hire a UX designer), I was told: “Since we did not get your request to cancel the automatic renewal in time, you are not eligible for a full refund. Subscriptions that are renewed are not refundable.” Point number 1, this is possibly the worst policy ever. I contacted them within the first 2 hours of the renewal, not using the service before contact you. Secondly, why would any company expect everyone to memorise the contract of everything they sign up for? And you don’t even send a reminder? Oh, that’s right, just to make more money. This is ridiculous customer service. Lastly, I tried to cancel a couple times during the year but you’re making the process impossible on purpose, so we have to contact you directly. And frankly, it’s 2022, I shouldn’t have to do that. You’re making an app with fast work-outs for busy people, know your audience..Version: 9.15

I want to like itI am going to keep with it and give it a go, but I agree with many of the other reviews regarding my disappointment in the way the workouts run. I appreciate people want quick workouts, but the instructors move very fast through the poses, often without appropriate instruction. Even the workouts labelled as slow flow! As someone who has done enough yoga to follow along with my eyes closed, these classes often don’t use the appropriate terms or the verbal instructions lag behind the person demonstrating. It would be much easier and safer if the instructors signposted where the flow was going and provided directions. A bit frustrated I’ve now paid for the year..Version: 7.5

DisappointedThis app is basically yoga and is misleading in its advertising. If you don’t want to follow a yoga style of workout this app is not for you. Also if you want to cancel they are not accommodating or helpful..Version: 10.41

Recent updates have ruined itI’ve been evangelical about this app for the last year or so. I quickly moved from free to paid for a year ago - now I’m not even sure I’d use the free version I have a long term degenerative spinal condition and at times pain has made me suicidal. During a particularly bad patch I decided I needed a mental ‘hook’ and that yoga would be a good place to start. (I’m allergic to morphine and lots of other strong pain killers) I began doing the morning routine alone first thing out of bed. I very quickly saw a vast improvement in my ability to cope with the pain I’m aware of what I can and can’t do and shouldn’t attempt with my condition which is why classes are not that good for me This app used poses and routines that i could substitute if some of the days routine weren’t right for me The recent update has, as others have said, made the overall appearance and experience more rushed, aggressive and more like first visit to a bad gym I won’t go back to because it doesn’t feel welcoming or safe. I’ve gone from missing 1 day in 7 to missing every other day or recently 6 in a row. :-(. Sorry I’ve paid my subscription now.Version: 3.17.1

Poor executionI purchased this app because I was looking for some variety in workouts. I already exercise 5-6 days per week and sometimes I get bored. I figured I’d throw this in from time to time for some more variety. The problem is that I think these workouts are designed for people with no physical fitness. There is no intensity to them whatsoever. I’m not familiar with the workout philosophy where you take tons of breaks and keep your intensity low. Seems counterintuitive. The app is also terrible. I think these folks need to get themselves a software developer. When I first started using it, the welcome page had a lot of workouts. Some individual and some in groups (or sets). Now when I use it there is a list of about 20 workouts only. I cannot find the ones that I was doing previously. All of the groupings are gone. I’ve tried to log out and back in. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall. Nothing works. In summary I cannot believe that I paid for such a pile of crap. Think twice before purchasing a subscription..Version: 3.20.1

Can’t see content without payingI’ve heard some good things...some not good things. But I’m not going to pay for a membership without seeing a sample of what kind of content is available. Once you download you can’t see anything without agreeing to a membership.Version: 8.6

Technical issues keep this from being awesomeI primarily use this app for the workouts. I have only had it for two weeks and it can be super frustrating at times. I love the idea of challenges only it is set up that you can’t do the 2nd or 3rd workout without doing the one before. I get it. It makes sense EXCEPT when you do the 1st workout but it never registers you as completing it so you can never progress and actually do the other workouts. If the developer just let us have access to any of the workouts in the series this wouldn’t be an issue or fix the issue!! And yes, I keep this app updated hoping this gets fixed. I have workout from and the gym for over 25 years. I still go to the gym but love having the option to do something from home when my time is more constrained. I love doing yoga so this seemed perfect. The workouts I have tried are good and I like that I can stack shorter ones on to the longer ones if I want a little more time working out. PLEASE PLEASE have your developer fix the issue on recognizing you completed the workout (it happens not just on the challenge ones) or do away with not being able to access all the workouts in the challenges..Version: 10.5

TerribleI clicked one month subscription, just to try it out (I’ll come back to my subscription at the end of this review). I answered all the usual questions, and began my first workout. The video quit half way through the warm up, which could have been my WiFi. It happens. I switched off the WiFi to use data, and the video was still stuck. I tried restarting the app, and it automatically took me back to the beginning of the video as if it had no memory of where I was (For $15 a month, it should keep my place). So I tried fast forwarding to the part of the workout where I left off, but you can’t fast forward. So I chose to skip set, and it completely skipped the rest of the warm up. It went straight to the workout. I thought, “Fine, I guess I’m working out then.” I could not even keep up. It goes too fast. Sorry, but I do not want to hurt myself when I can’t keep up with good form. And since I know I can’t rewind or fast forward seconds at a time, there’s no way this is at all going to be compatible with my life - for $15/mo?! I went to cancel after activating my MONTHLY subscription literally 15 minutes before and it is set to take $60 worth out of my account. So now I have to try to stop apple from taking my money. Honestly, if it was just $15 that I lost I would have just been like “oh, well. That’s what I get for trying something that doesn’t offer a free trial.” This app is terrible! I do not trust this company! Do not waste your time or money!.Version: 3.21.3

StressfulSet up is annoying and the app overall is not what I thought. Not very helpful😐.Version: 4.6

False advertising - limited workouts availableI do like the works outs that are available including the lengths and the style of the workouts - they don’t feel forced of over the top excitement. Unfortunately, a lot of the content that you see in their Instagram ads is not available ij the app so it feels a bit like false advertising. There is no obvious way to give feedback like this in the app.Version: 10.40

The dumbest way to spend $100 (non refundable)Don’t waste your time or your money on this terrible app. Lazy developers, buggy UI, no customer support, and no refund. What a giant scam this is..Version: 8.17

Bad experienceThe workouts are great but the app is awful! The daily question is asked over and over -and over again. Getting a workout over the last 4 days is a total rigmarole, screen is just blank, shut down the app, delete the app, re- download the app, log back in, try a workout, blank white screen., round and round, It’s horrendous and I want a refund but of course I can’t get to that screen. It’s awful, waste of my time and money. Trying to log in through browser, forget it! Only seeing the subscribe page??? Clearing cookies, going round and round in a circle, frustrating and crap experience. I went for the yearly subscription after seeing the ad’ on social media, several times daily! That worked well but surely fixing the functionality of the app is key, before killing people with your ads. **** Give me instructions on how to cancel this subscription and get a refund..Version: 10.24

The answer to my needs.Fantastic to have so many different routines all available to work through in my lounge or wherever I am. This is going to keep my body young and flexible as I'm 52 now and am feeling how age seizes your body up!! Not going to let that happen now. My only complaint is at the time of this review there is no way to pause the video and have a visual of the picture you paused it at. I'm a real newbie and need to pause, look at the pose and try and get into it. The poses are all so new to me I need to pause, look at the pose and try and get into it. But at the moment when you pause it, the picture disappears until you start it again. Also I would ask if it's possible to put a fast forward and rewind button on, so we can go back half a minute to do something again or watch again, or forward again. At the moment this is not possible..Version: 3.8.1

There are better apps out thereIve been using the app for 3 weeks now and it’s not for me. I’m disappointed with layout of the apps and the workouts available. The longest ‘workout’ I could find was 38 mins which includes warm up and cool down. I also would have thought if you were doing a challenge the app would show me the workout for the day, but I have go into challenges, select the challenge I’m already doing and then scroll and select the next workout. Dumb. Much prefer Sweat or Down Dog apps for workouts and challenges..Version: 9.35

NEEDS DIVERSITYI was using this app on and off all last year. It automatically subscribed me again for another year, which was fine because I got an email with a heads up. I figured new year, time to focus more on my yoga work outs. But I’ve been disappointed with what I’ve seen. The app has been updated and isn’t that user friendly any more. I miss the preview of the work out before it began. And it’s still the same few poses repeated over and over again. I have tried a few of the programs and no matter what the focus of that program is, whether it be for bikini body or balance or relaxation, it’s always the same few repetitive poses in new orders. This app is also very misleading. I want to advance and be able to do the more difficult poses that you see the people doing when you click on this app in the App Store. Also some of the Workout Lists in this app are advertised with more advanced poses that are never executed in any of the programs. This app really needs to have longer sessions, more flows, and definitely more diversity with the poses. I admit now it isn’t worth the $.Version: 3.17.1

Purchased subscription doesn’t workI purchased this subscription loving yoga however every time I try to use it I get sent to the subscription page so I click on it which then says already purchased and back again I’ve removed re installed and let’s just say few hours messing around not feeling very Zen! Shame as good idea Updated - After doing as instructed from feedback i have removed and reinstalled twice and same have exactly the same problem such a shame as the app looks good and I believe it will complement yoga studio i use can’t believe how frustrated as only want to use it. For reference im using a new i pad air Updated again - Now managed to get the app to work after going to settings and clicking the restore purchase button, first time i did it app crashed and had to close whole app down (not just open close app) , second time th e app went into some kind of meltdown switching form one screen to another (again had to completely close app not just come out of it) third time it worked! Anyhow the app actually seams quite goods did first workout good fun and a good compliment in style to other yoga apps fingers crossed may increase review rating.Version: 9.26

Hate the new versionI use to be a regular user of this app and would mix it up using the free workouts and daily workout. It now looks like you have to pay for everything apart from the 5 minute daily workout, no free basic workouts to do which is really frustrating..Version: 3.22.0

Missing the old instructorI’m a pretty practical person and I used to find the old instructions back in February easy to follow even if I couldn’t look at the screen. (Sometimes in a middle of a workout you can’t.) Now the workouts move extremely fast and I find it difficult to follow them. No longer do I see the option to pick a program and just be able to do a different workout each morning without having to manually go select one. (I find it tedious) Where you used to be guided to release tension in shavasana now it’s “inviting relaxation” which does not mean the same thing to me, and does not help me to relax. Probably won’t renew my subscription as I find the new instructor to be entirely too irritating..Version: 4.16

Videos not playingI bought a subscription earlier this week. I loved this app in the past but never purchased the full version (aka coach) in the past because it was too pricey. But the new price of $60 for one year is great! So I got it. It worked well for three days, but now, the videos aren’t playing. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I restarted my phone, which did nothing. I updated my phone, which did nothing. The only thing that works is deleting and redownloading the app, BUT it only works for one video and then they stop playing again. It’s not my connection, as it does the same on WiFi AND on data... not to mention all my other apps are fine. I like the workouts and how it keeps track but I’m very frustrated. I spend more time trying to get the app to work than working out! On top of that, the app won’t let me change my goal. When I used the app over a year ago I set my goal as weight loss but now I’m looking to get fitter and it won’t allow me to change that. All in all I love the workouts and the idea but the app really stinks. Since I paid for a year all at once I’ll keep using the app, but I’d rather not have to delete and download every time I want to workout. It’s frustrating..Version: 4.28

Great content, app functionality is poorI love these workouts and very happy to pay for them and the other content is also really appreciated. The more I use the app however the more surprised (frustrated!) at the lack of search functionality within the app. There is a level one search but if you want to combine say length of workout and intensity level you cannot search on that basis. You can’t search for workouts by instructor. Sometimes I want a core workout that is intense - my only option is to trawl through to find one that might suit. Even in the “challenges”, the concept of which I like, but actually they are some of the generic workouts just drawn together eg the core one is not necessarily core specific workouts, rather they just include some core at some point. I will continue using for now but I may start to drift to other apps as this doesn’t seem too much to ask for a paid for app.Version: 9.9

Expected to pay $60 upfront without even a trialOk app, it has a nice idea but I think it could be better if 1. they offered more for free. I’m not even being cheap, it seems the only option is the free app or $60 per year. Paying $60 up front for something I barely know anything about is a lot to ask, wish there was at least like a monthly subscription for $10 or a one week free trial or something because there’s hardly anything free on this app (one focusing song, three workouts (2 of which of 5 mins, the other 6 mins), one guided meditation, etc). You can only get about a day’s use out of this app before you have to pay to access more. 2. Apparently in older versions of this app there was an option to make a daily plan for yourself over the following weeks to help reach your goals. I was actually searching for something just like that when I came across this app! I would love if that were brought back. Right now it kinda forces you to only look at what you’re meant to do at that exact time of day. Not a big fan, but I kinda see the benefits of this more minimalistic, laid-back approach as well. Otherwise, this app is pretty cool, but I only downloaded it yesterday and it doesn’t look like it’ll be staying on my phone much longer..Version: 8.2

Not for everyoneExtremely disappointed. Thought it would cater for all abilities but it doesn’t. If you’re not very flexible you won’t be able to do the routines. I paid a yearly fee & I can’t use the app..Version: 5.5

Waste of moneyTells you it’s $7 a month but charges you the full $89 on the spot. And the pictures in the app for each workout aren’t even in the workouts so you’ll be doing basic moves you can find on YouTube. Have messaged to get a refund as the workouts aren’t the same as photos but have had no reply!.Version: 3.16.2

Can’t see the instructorVery frustrating, I’m using the app on an iPhone and the instructor is 3/4 cut off the screen so being a beginner I want to see the movements the instructor is doing. But can’t see them. Is there any way this can be fixed?.Version: 9.37

BAD!I signed up in Dec 22, bought a 12 month subscription. No email leading up to an automatic renewal they direct debit from my account 12 months later and took their annual fee from me. I emailed them to cancel my subscription, received an automated reply saying I will have a human response within 1-2 days or 7 days during the peak season. Still no reply for a “human” sent another email still no reply and it’s been 14 days since my first email. I still have an active subscription that I will be taking further to cancel. Highly recommend you think twice about signing up and handing over all your details for them to potentially sell out to third party companies.Version: 10.39

SadPurchased by accident. Unable to cancel $100 for a year subscription :(.Version: 8.0

Not enough slow sessionsA lot of the sessions are great in terms of content but too fast paced. This is not in terms of difficulty it’s more that there isn’t enough time to ensure alignment/ figure the posture or build strength or flexibility by holding any asanas for a sustained enough period. I’m grateful I got this app heavily discounted in the Jan sale @ 80% off as it’s lockdown so apps and zoom classes are all I can get here in the UK but I feel during normal times and at the normal price it is it’s pricey and let’s me down on the above points. The in app recipes don’t provide any quantities but I’m guessing you are supposed to eyeball the amounts? I do like the pics provided to enable this and the simplicity of it although not all the pics show all the ingredients. I do like how all the exercises are organised ( with favouriting features) & grouped and also the preview video features. It’s nicely designed in this respect. I like the 1hr sleep music but wish there were more ambient tracks to choose from like insects or frogs in a tropical rainforest. You should also make it clear and warn users that the app is not suitable for complete beginners but more towards intermediate unless this is purely down to my customisation settings..Version: 8.9

I don’t like the changes to the appI have been using full (paid) version of the app for almost 2 years and I loved it but since the last update I no longer recognize it and find it difficult to follow the instructions without the previews. Also after using the app for so long I’ve gotten used to some workouts and had some favorites now they all disappeared. I also enjoyed “tips” section that came with a programs in coach but now that is completely gone as well(including the coach). Maybe new customers enjoy the update but for me it’s been ruined. I thought the update would expand on the previous workouts and add some new but it completely replaced the old content - as well as the option to program your workouts now I have to remember all of them and search and select what I want to do every time - this is just making it so less likely I will do any exercise - the last thing I want is to be making decisions at 6 am. I’m really hoping they will bring back some of the previous features otherwise I will have to cancel my subscription and find different app. So disappointed.Version: 4.0.2

Great app, but soooo many glitchesI’ve been using Asana Rebel for almost two years now. I love the workouts.I love that the app as a coach program that gives you a different workout everyday and there are different programs you can do depending on your goals. However, I’ve never used any app that has as many technical issues as this one. Over the two years I’ve used it, there has been three or four times that a major feature of the app has gone away or been made more difficult to use because of some kind of glitch. It’s usually after they release a new update, which makes a little bit of sense. I can give them some grace on that. But it on average takes them WEEKS or even MONTHS to fix these glitches. They always throw out a date when it will be fixed and then the date comes and goes with no fix. They’re in the midst of another one right now. I don’t know if they need a new tech team or what, but they would easily have five stars from me if this whole cycle hasn’t happened over and over and over again. It’s really frustrating. Only reason I haven’t given up is because the workouts are REALLY good and I like the format..Version: 3.22.2

Great potential, supports incremental change and builds consistencyI love the suggested series of short form yoga flows, encouragement of good routines in water consumption, meditation options and setting goals/managing time. Main downside so far has been the casting to Apple TV which should be easy as I use an iPhone but it keeps pausing when the device goes to sleep during the yoga flow which is disruptive..Version: 10.37

Desperate for incomeI got the app last Jan - and stopped using it quickly after I paid for the subscription. It just auto renewed. Yes - partly my fault I didn’t cancel first but I didn’t see it in my Apple ID subscriptions so it was out of sight, out of mind. I had signed up via computer because there was a sale price available online only and didn’t realize that I would have to contact someone to be able to cancel. As soon as it auto-renewed I contacted support and asked to cancel/refund as I don’t use the app. Asana refuses to refund. To me this is a company that takes advantage of auto-renewals - people like me will forget and then they get to take my money anyway even though I’m not using/enjoying the app. They send emails about promos but don’t send renewal reminders - obviously because they don’t want to remind you so they can take your money. They must be desperate for funding/income if they won’t give a refund within days of an auto-renew. It’s a REALLY crappy way to do business..Version: 10.41

Feeling Scammed; I hope this hasn’t happened to everyone.I downloaded this app from the top free section and it asked me to pay (Lots of apps do this but I saw there was a sale so figured I’d give it a chance). I’ve been traveling on a pretty tight budget and I’ve been looking for some yoga poses on the go. I saw that the one year subscription had a deal on, only 6.74 or something like that. It said underneath in small print that the next years subscription would go back to its original price of 73 dollars. I’m not sure if it’s a glitch in the app or a total rip off but when I’d checked my online banking they’d charged me the 73. I am so unimpressed. I wasn’t even looking for video workouts I do not have enough mobile data to even use the app. Yesterday in the book store I saw a Asana poses book for 50 dollars and thought it far too expensive. I guess I’ve really learned a valuable life lesson here. Thanks Guys..Version: 3.20.0

Great “workouts” but.....I’ve been using Asana rebel for 6 months now and have seen great improvement in my overall body tone and I it use daily with my yoga practices but I waited and waited for the update to only be let down by the same thing that has me doubting this program I the first place. That problem is that the “workout” only last around 10 min where the rest of each “workout” is really slow and repetitive. Which brings me another point, this app has a great liking for repetitiveness so much as to where I get bored and skip around and then still get bored. And can we please make things all more difficult and more of an actual yoga workout/session. And those ladies doing the “workout” along with us are super boring also. They need to look alive and put some sweat effort into it or at least smile and look at the camera once in awhile. Well all that being said I should just cancel me subscription and plan to at the end of this month. Sorry Asana rebel you’ve taken enough of my time and money..Version: 3.19.2

FrustratedWorkouts are great, which is why I'm so disappointed. First bug was the app kept asking me to subscribe when I had already paid. The next issue was the misrepresentation of 'offline' access, it's not offline access if you need to be online in order to access the download. When I needed to remove the app from my phone and install it again a few days later I found the 'log-in' option is the same colour as the background, making it appear like there isn't a log-in option, again wasting several days waiting for customer support, who were quite ineffectual in resolving the issue. Now the 'stopwatch' icon at the bottom on the screen has disappeared (for the last 5 days) and I have no access to my program, so the app is literally useless. I was relying on this app to help get me fit and slim for my sister's wedding, and the constant let-downs and disappointments have really put me behind my targets. I will be contacting customer service again and requesting a refund. This app is not fit for purpose..Version: 3.22.2

Not totally convincedAfter seeing a few ads I decided to give this app a go since i wanted to lose the lock down weight and have become a bit bored of Down Dog which i’ve been using for many years now. The promise of a targeted plan to address my needs swung it but there’s not much flexibility or variety. The interface offers a lot with nutritional suggestions but for those without a chef making note of the recommendations and prepping on your behalf it feels irrelevant. After accepting workout challenges/programmes you have to keep accessing via the challenges page rather than them automatically coming up on your daily feed which feels clumsy. The work outs are quite short-max 27 mins so those looking for longer will be disappointed. It looks great but atm it’s style over substance..Version: 9.37

Not worth itFor the price you pay, you’d think they’d at least let you try the app for free for a couple weeks maybe so you can see all it has to offer. The one workout I was able to do for free was good, but then I have to go on faith that the rest will be worth my money? You can find similar workouts on YouTube that don’t cost a penny, so I for one will be deleting this app. Oh yeah, and as others have said, they bombard you with notices for the paid version every time you click anything. Plus the interface is awkward to say the least. Don’t waste your time..Version: 9.18

Needs more level guidanceI love these workouts. But as a total beginner I need more tailoring. I find myself halfway through a workout or challenge before I realise it’s too much or too challenging. Guidance around what level I am at and where I should start, with suggestions for workouts and options for easier adaptions would really help me stay motivated. Also if my ‘today’ tab directed me towards gentle stretching and breathing on the days I’m not doing a workout indeed if it guided me clearly that - for example- I did a hard workout yesterday so I should do gentle stretching and breathing today or such - that would be great so I can keep the momentum of feeling like I’m achieving something every day. I sometimes find myself so sore after the first couple of days that I avoid my next workout. I know I’m meant to feel it, but a directed recover day would help me know what I’m meant to be doing when. My today tab is so full of things that I’m not quite sure if I’m meant to do all of them, or pick, and if so - what ones? I love the recipes, the meditation and mindfulness - but if there was more direction for beginners at the start I think you would keep people on target much better..Version: 9.15

Offline unavailableI love this app, have been a big fan and used the annual paid version 2-3 times a week for 3 years quite happily now. The workouts are incredible, and very customizable. However, I suggest the developers test Asana rebel in more no wifi/primitive network settings. Allow downloaded workouts to remain in my device’s memory for as long as I’m paying for the app (downloaded workouts delete themselves after 2-3 weeks)! They seem to be really concerned about “loosing control” because they delete saved content after a short period. I absolutely LOVE this app and am a huge fan, but I love doing the workouts in remote situations with remote or very slow/primitive data networks. They could bill Asana Rebel as the “yoga teacher for retreats” if it worked better offline. Allow the workouts to be saved simultaneously. Do not set downloaded content to delete after such a short period (I spend a week downloading my favourite workouts in preparation for a week or two in limited data only to find my content unexpectedly deleted). I love this app and use it almost every day, but I might just end up saving other youtube workout videos to my files because everything on this app is so unreliable & glitchy off of wifi or 4G data. I really hope the developers guys work to make/test this better, because there could be a good marketing/SEO/target edge to travellers/van lifers/influencers/adventurers who are living without reliable internet from time to time. Developers: Believe in your app, and let go of the urge to be so controlling! I’m happy to pay my annual subscription fee… if it works even (or… especially) when I’m more remote. It’s kindof ironic that the developers are so paranoid about content when it comes to such an amazing comprehensive mindfulness app. I wished they believed in themselves and their product more..Version: 9.15

Changes to this app were not positiveTwo years ago I started using this app and loved the way the programs were laid out. Each move was listed in the video so I found it very easy to work through. I loved the coach function as well and was very happy paying $10 a month for the subscription. I stoped using the app when they only allowed you to buy 3 month, 12 month, and forever subscriptions because I didn’t want to layout that much money. Side note- I’m pretty sure the app continued to charge the $10 a month but I no longer had access to the subscriber portion of the app. Will have to take that one up with Apple. Anyways, fast forward to today- I haven’t been working out as much as I would like. I thought of Asana rebel and decided to pay for it because of how positive my previous experience was. I started a workout and it kept glitching so I assumed the app might need an update. I updated and I am so disappointed. I hate every change they made right down to the logo, which now lacks personality. I liked the program/coach element and how personal it felt. I’m going to continue to try using it (because I paid for it) but I’m so disappointed..Version: 4.27

Good value for money but need improvementThe app is overall good. I travel a lot so I love the fact that I can keep with my workout wherever I am. Nevertheless, it is quite limited as it repests the same set of exercises even when you change to different type of routine. It would be good to have new movements every now and then. Another setback is that the longest workout lasts approx 30’. I want to do 1h a day so I do 2 workouts in a row selecting a new one as soon as the app offers me the options to continue. But the app doesn’t take into account that I’ve been exercising for 30’ so It starts from warmup again...if you skip the warmup in the second exercise you end up with less things to do... All in all is a good up for the price you have to pay. But it needs improvement..Version: 5.8

Auto renewalI did like the app and used it for two years. I decided after the first renewal that I wasn’t going to renew again so I followed the instructions and disabled the renewal in my iTunes. Then, yesterday it was auto renewed via PayPal. I wrote to them right away and they responded that they could cancel my subscription but couldn’t send a refund and included a bolded text that said, auto renewals can not be refunded. So be careful. I think I must have originally signed up online and not on my phone. I’m not sure, but be sure to check everywhere if you want to avoid being charged for something. After writing this, I received a response that I needed to “be sure to cancel on the platform I signed up on” Gee, thanks. I used the app for at least two years so I didn’t remember. Otherwise, I would have. I specifically looked for instructions on how to cancel to avoid auto-renewals and only found instructions about cancelling via a phone, which is the only way I’ve ever used the app. But thanks for the does-me-no-good-now advice. I’m putting this out there so other people know to check..Version: 10.32

Misleading subscriptionsWhen I purchased this app I did so because the payment options offered one month subscriptions with an overall annual cost. I subscribed to try it out for a month but was automatically charged to full year and then told after 3 weeks I am not eligible for a refund. It was pretty misleading. Also I often downloaded the workouts because my wifi is too slow outside. When you complete a downloaded workout it doesn’t sync to the ‘activity calendar’ which is pretty annoying..Version: 7.8

Flawed subscription system/horrible user interfaiceI am beyond annoyed and flustered at Asana Rebel’s billing. No less than 4 times have I purchased a subscription at what is billed the “premium” package, only to be denied workouts and forced to buy a more expensive package that is the “true premium” or “unlock everything” package. This has resulted in over $250 in losses over the course of a year, via purchasing the “same product” over and over again. I have cancelled all subscriptions and will not be using this product again. I’ve found the workouts to be sufficiently challenging and a nice variety, but interacting with the screen at any point in the workout proves to be impossible. If you need time between movements/a movement is too much to do in a given moment, trying to pause for a breath can result in you missing an entire exercise, as the screen does not register your touches, which results in my personal frustration for needing to fiddle with both the pause button and the time icon/bar trying to recover that exercise. Unless sufficient software repairs are made to this app for its billing and interface, I would not recommend it. Decent content does not counterbalance a customer’s user experience..Version: 7.7

Needs a workout planI bought this app at the beginning of 2018. I didn’t like having to pay the monthly fee in one lump sum, but did so because I really liked the look of the app. It started really well, with the ability to set a plan to follow which (as a beginner) meant I could do a daily session and feel like I was building towards a goal. However, within a few weeks they removed this function and I had to just pick any random session, so I quickly lost heart because there was no longer an incentive to do a regular workout. You also cannot play this on a larger screen, so you have to follow the moves on a little phone screen. This app might be good if you already have a good knowledge of yoga, the workouts themselves are good, I just needed something with a little more structure..Version: 4.27

Unfortunately...Used to be a time that “get” meant free, and buy meant it’ll cost $xx "...... this one is a get until you load and start it up ... only to realise you got a week free.... then it’s Buy. No issue at all with buying an app... but be nicer if it were clear from the start that it IS a requirement to buy..Version: 4.17

Disappointing, but their marketing is on pointThere are no adaptations or options for your fitness level or injuries. Many new yogis would be easily injured trying these asanas. All the demonstrators are highly advanced so it looks good but it makes it easy for people to push too far to easily and the poor form will cause weakness not strength. With the free option you don’t get a feel for the app it’s excessively restricted with one free workout a day, and prompts to signup are overly frequent and obstruct the use of the app. Pretty videos, pretty people, pretty poses, highly skilled demonstrators, but not what I’d call a good app. If you’re a skilled yogi then many of these would be adaptable for you with your prior knowledge of the correct breathing, core strength and form..Version: 3.21.3

Buyer BewareWow. That’s disappointing. The renewal process is clear. Renewals are automatic and unfortunately you cannot cancel after this date and get a refund. Most companies are clear. That’s not the issue. The issue is most companies also will still issue a refund if you are within a couple weeks of the renewal occurring. Most people see the renewal on their credit card bill and then realize it’s something they haven’t used and then cancel it. If you are not honoring these requests as a company, that’s sad and not honoring a good future relationship with customers. It shows you don’t care about customers after their initial signup. Unfortunately this is resembles a flash in the pan business model and obviously not seeking a good relationship with customers but rather a one time membership fee, betting on customers not tracking their automatic renewals. Other companies that I have contacted for refund after an automated renewal was billed have gladly agreed to refund payments. That shows that they care about their longevity as a business and hope this good customer service encourages customers to return..Version: 10.39

Sneaky Subscription Terms & Won’t RefundAside from lacking in quality and user experience, this company & app will not show you your billing cycle at all, and will not refund you once you've been billed again for your subscription ($42CAD). The "Cancel Subscription" button doesn't work on the app, and sends you to complete a form to "request to cancel" as if you're asking permission to cancel your automatic renewing subscription. Save your money and choose one of the thousands of other options for quality wellness apps that have great customer service..Version: 10.38

Really want to give it a go!This app looks so great and I’m keen to have a go... but...I find the “unlock everything” pop up really annoying. There was an offer for a free trial I think but it disappeared and now I can’t figure out how to access that. I’d like to be able to see what kind of commitment some of the locked content involves (e.g the 4 week programs) before I commit to $45 for 3 months. Also, it would be better if it was $x per month and you could cancel at any time instead of paying $75 straight up for a whole year. And $499 to own it forever is just ridiculous. Is that even right? 😱 I just want to access a free trial for a few days to see how I like it. I’ll just use the free videos for now I guess..Version: 3.11.1

Managed to login but that’s about all!Managed login and that’s about all, The app does not spin to the correct orientation on my iPhone therefore the mute and volume keys sit at the bottom, this is very silly to not allow the app to tilt or rotate, secondly the app is not castable to a normal smart TV only Apple TV. I find it extremely hard to follow a workout from my tiny iPhone screen. Thirdly the cancellation process varies greatly depending upon where you have purchased this subscription, is it via the app directly from your App Store or is it online? the two processes vary differently if you have purchased the app for the App Store on your phone you can cancel under subscriptions from your phone however if you have purchased the app online you have to wait via snail mail for someone to respond. Very shocking in this day and age for two separate processes one being so antiquated and also the inability to rotate and cost. Very disappointing..Version: 10.2

Expensive and uselessIt’s an expensive and useless app. What a rip off!.Version: 3.22.2

Major bugsThis is now the third time in a week that I have had to delete and re-install this app as my coach workouts have disappeared. Instead of the 4 options at the bottom there are only 3, this is highly frustrating, especially as I am paying for this app. I’m also not happy with the new updates to the workouts and then all being in a flow format. You should have the option to have the old style workouts where you eat a preview of each exercise, so you know exactly what you’re doing. I felt that the old workouts were much more effective, and gave people a chance to evaluate the workouts before they committed to them. Please fix the issue. I will not be happy if I have to delete this app yet again and reinstall it, simply because it is not functioning as it should do..Version: 3.22.2

Vraiment merdiqueApplication qui ne fonctionne qu’une fois par 7 jours, incapable de se connecter au réseau a tout bout de champ. J’ai l’impression. D’avoir été volée carrément..Version: 3.15.0

Cheaply made and doesn’t work, ever. When I first logged on I could not access content without subscribing. I purchased what I thought was a monthly subscription, but I was charged for the entire year (obviously it was an annual subscription). Hopefully they’ve fixed this to not be so confusing now, I signed up a few updates ago. The audio is poorly mixed and they filmed it illegally without permits in my neighborhood. I realize through use that these are the people I caught in my neighbor’s yard, dangerously using my neighbor’s belongings for filming. As a Trapeze artist, I’m not faint of heart when it comes to acro, but as a former instructor I do know safety and would never condone breaking into private property to use somebody’s leisure equipment outside of its recommended confines without permission of the owners. That is insanity. Despite this I figured I’d paid over $100 for it, might as well use it for the year. 100% of the times I try to use the app it crashes at some point. Sometimes I get a black screen, sometimes a session just freezes. When the app does work and I use it, I wear my various monitoring devices which read less than half the calorie burn the app claims to provide. I hate to give a bad review to anybody, but this has become ridiculous..Version: 3.17.0

Not very happyI’m a brand new customer. I couldn’t try before signing up so took a chance to buy an annual subscription based on the positive reviews. I’m only on day three and so far the following things have irritated me; (1) despite adding all requested info to sign up (current weight, height, etc.) none of this has been stored in the ‘personalisation’ section, (2) despite completing Day 2 of the 21 day challenge, I don’t have an option to tick to indicate I’ve completed it (I could after Day 1), (3) after choosing a recipe to try I found it listed the ingredients but not the quantities required for each?! And (4) there is only one challenge option for beginners...which is only a 7-day challenge. Am I simply not using this app correctly?.Version: 8.6

Think before subscribing!Asana Rebel is a great app - very slick, with great workouts, tips, etc. However, when I went to do the first video workout, I was required to subscribe - either for 3 months or a year - but told I could cancel at any time. I did, but when I wanted to cancel after two days, I was told I wasn’t eligible for a refund. Just think before signing up to $80+ as they don’t share the fine print with you..Version: 6.21

Very misleadingThis app makes a big show of having you fill out a questionnaire to suggest a customized workout which is absolute nonsense. I am a very fit 63 year old. But the workouts “tailored to me” are for those in their 20s or 30’s. The low intensity work out just dives right in with no explanation of the moves, a rapid progression from move to move with no demonstration of the proper alignment or technique. Just a complete waste of money for anyone who is not already a workout expert and under 35..Version: 9.15

Sped up, weird yogaThis app is great if you like rushing through poses as fast as possible, and that’s about it. Yes you’ll get stronger. But this isn’t yoga. Yes all the positions are there, but this is NOT yoga. I’ve been several different kinds of doing yoga across different studios with different instructors for over 10 years and this app is NOT any of that. This app is purely and solely for a sped up version of “yoga” for strength building and is not meditative or relaxing at all, which even intense yoga workouts are supposed to have an element of. Even the “loosen hips” yoga class doesn’t settle into any stretches or movements for longer than 5 seconds (tops), and settling in in es exactly what’s needed for yoga to be effective in the way that it’s intended. This program is exactly what it looked like to me at the outset but I tried to give it a chance: it’s a white, capitalist interpretation of something and ruins it, just white capitalist interpretations of things ruin everything. Yes you will get strong, so if that’s all you want go for it. But this is not yoga..Version: 10.13

Old version was GREATI would gladly give my money every month to have the old program back. You had the option to start a 4-6 week long program based on your needs. The workouts were perfect and only took me about 2 weeks to start seeing incredible results. I even got abs for the first time in my life! Now that option is gone. You can still access the old workouts but they don’t register on their workout log anymore so it doesn’t show that you worked out for the day if you do an old workout. Also, there are only 5 workouts available from each old program (fatburn, bikini body, stretch & move, etc.) so there is no progression or building towards a long term goal. The new workouts are 5 minutes shorter than the old ones and include a 5 minute warmup and an 8 minute cooldown. So your actual workout is only about 10 minutes long, and has proven to been much less effective than the old ones. You spend more time warming up and cooking down than you do working out- what’s the point of that? The programs were what made this app great. I’ve seen lots of customers express similar concerns and I’m not sure why they don’t seem to care? They would be making loads more money if they incorporated both the old and the new. I’m only subscribing as long as the older workouts are still accessible. If those leave, I’ll finally cut ties...unless they decide to listen to the people who’ve supported them the longest. ✌🏼.Version: 4.28

Too fastThe lady talks too fast and if you do not know the poses then you skip a lot of the exercise.Version: 8.7

Stuck in portrait modeThis app doesn’t adapt to the screen’s orientation of my device. Makes it impossible to use when my iPad is in a landscape-oriented case. And I can’t stand it up out of the case. really poor form for an app…. Also, there’s just too much going on. I don’t like all the meal plans being shoved in my face when just trying to do a work out. What about a separate menu option/screen for meals etc..Version: 9.26

Subscription?I just got a notification that my card was billed $42.99 but when I checked in my phone settings Asana Rebel is not one of the subscriptions I have listed. Can someone explain why I’m being charged?.Version: 10.40

Difficulties unsubscribingAs I did not use the app much and money was tight at the time I decided to cancel my subscription in 2023. As the subscription no longer showed under subscriptions on my phone I assumed it had indeed been cancelled. However I have just been charged again in 2024. When asking for a refund the site says I cannot get one even though this is not my error. Just be aware if you sign up you might have trouble unsubscribing..Version: 10.39

Excellent for the more experienced practitionerThis app has really changed and not for the better. I loved this last year and forked out for a subscription but recent updates have seen the culture and practice change. There is no intro to each exercise now it is just wham! Bam! Straight in and if you don’t quite get the move, you’re stuck. As a relative novice who is still getting to grips with yoga positions, I’m now spending a lot of time trying to master the correct positions to avoid injury, which is not promoting the desired mental health and restorative effect that I want from yoga. I’m sure this app will get you in to shape quickly. I see results despite the workouts but I think you need to have a high level of fitness and flexibility prior to using this to get the most out of this app..Version: 4.16

Good but can be frustratingThis app doesn’t seem good for beginners, even though I am doing the “for beginners challenge”. It would be helpful to include some modifications as some things I find too difficult and just have to sit there and wait as I don’t know an alternative. I also have to do yoga without my glasses on and the verbal instruction alone is not good enough for me to do a lot of it without looking, (but with yoga i’m normally fine with just listening and following instructions) so it could be clearer, half of the time I have to stop, put my glasses on and look then restart again. Also in parts the transitions are lacking, e.g you will be in a squat and the instructor will say “go to down dog”, whereas it would be nice to say “place your feet back together at the top of the Matt, forward fold, then step it back to down dog” to prevent me just throwing myself into the next position. I will stick with it as I think the exercises are good for fitness and weight loss but I wish it was clearer. I also wish there was a way to see which challenge you have started and which is next instead of having to find it every time.Version: 8.16

NOT for beginnersSaw ads on Facebook and Instagram and based on those thought this would be a good way to get in shape and incorporate/ learn yoga moves. There is only one challenge for beginners and it definitely is not beginner friendly. You need to have an understanding of yoga jargon. They go quickly from move to move and if you don’t know what they are talking about or have particularly good balance you will fall or fall behind like myself and be frustrated. There isn’t a lot of time to work on correct posture or guidance as to what that should be as they move through things quickly. If you are in decent shape have good balance, knowledgeable about yoga poses, and are a quick learner this would be great challenging workouts. There is a nutrition and mindfulness component. I’m not sure that I would call it particularly useful as you can find similar recipes and mindfulness ideas for free online. As a complete beginner after trying 2 different workouts without any successful ( fell trying to watch and move through one flow and tweaked back trying to see what pose should look like) I regret spending the money..Version: 8.6

Be very carefulCan’t cancel my subscription Doesn’t show as a subscription in my apple subs Won’t reply with confirmation of cancellation No notification they are taking a monthly payment Should be illegal.Version: 8.20

Not as expected at allSo far, I like some of the workouts but, there are no levels and no explanations or progression into the different poses. You have to stick your head out of your pose to look at the instructor. Also, there is no way to choose a program or a series for a specific age or condition and rarely do they offer adaptations for people who are not flexible. And, the iPad has to be turned upright for navigation through the app..Version: 10.37

Starting to feel Sexy, Sassy & Fit AgainFor the Past year I’ve not been happy with my Size, Weight & Health. I love working out but have lacked motivation quiet intensely. I happened upon Asana Rebel via Instagram & it intrigued me, due to my thirst for body training that’s going to “light my fire” back for working out. I’ve only been doing it a week & already I am hooked & excited by the daily workouts you can do, as well as what I’m starting to feel within myself - that bodily confidence, the motivation, the fun I was missing in working out. I’ve bought the yearly subscription to challenge myself & to put AsanaRebel to the test - is this Programme really the real deal? ... In this instance I say YES!!! 😊😋😁 UPDATE: I truly love Asana Rebel!!!! … However I’ve recently renewed my yearly subscription, after a 2.5year gap. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to get into any of the Apps vids, clips, music, meditation etc - other than the ones that are free, due to a faulty that I can’t rectify my end. I have tried restoring purchase, contacting support team, emailing, EVERYTHING and have had no luck - I WISH there was a number to call, BUT now I am contacting you ASANA via this way!!!! I’m devastated because I want to get my regime complete, which includes a daily yoga workout (on Asana essentially); but ASANA your tech team or whatever glitch you got going on, is holding me back and costing me a waste of my time AND money!!! Please respond! ….Version: 9.17

Impossible to cancel, keep getting chargedSent an email to support last year to cancel my subscription (my subscription is web based, not through the app which makes it very difficult to even find where to cancel). They attempted to charge me again this year, 3 days ago, using a checking account number that I no longer use but can’t close because I am out of state and it has to be done in person. I notified Asana Rebel again that I had already requested to cancel my subscription and to please cancel it immediately. They responded this time (not sure if it was an actual person or a bot) and said they would it and that it was canceled immediately. Just got a notice that they again tried to charge my bank account, my bank denied the charge so they charged my backup credit card on file! I have also been charged an overdraft fee. Complete and total bull****. The app is not worth the money. All of the programs are super easy/not challenging at all and are very repetitive. But if you want to pay $35 a year for the rest of your life to be guided how do stretches and jumping jacks by all means, you do you..Version: 10.28

Yoga workoutThis app caught my attention on an advertisement through my Instagram as a yogi I thought it would be fun to mix up my normal practice with hit style yoga, the app promised good communication and audios for the work outs, seeing as it’s not my phone screen I thought this would be good as I know all the poses so I don’t need to see as long as I can hear well, but the voice and the body doing the asana didn’t always match up when I looked up which was confusing, willing to try again but from my first video I am a touch disappointed as you waste time in the workout trying to look to see what the body is doing because you don’t trust the voice, I think this is why I have always preferred live recordings than voice over after..Version: 8.7

Losing its way?On the very positive side, having set myself a reminder to do yoga every day I'm now on a streak of over 160 days. So Asana Rebel is certainly helping me stay strong and flexible. But now to the things that seem to be slipping: - There seems to be less and less focus on yoga under the exercise section. There's an excellent "foundations" collection that genuinely seems to be yoga, but a lot of collections are basically HIIT workouts. - Some of my favourite workouts have been retired from the navigation (though fortunately I have been able to find them by digging through my workout history) - Editing is pretty poor in recent workouts - sometimes the instructor spends twice as long on one side of the body as the other, for example. - The daily questions are just annoying and pointless. Why not replace that with a daily reminder to do a workout? - The descriptions and classifications are pretty meaningless - very hard to know in advance whether you're really getting a gentle stretch or a hard abs workout. The "intensity" indicator has gone AWOL from navigation. - Didn't there used to be a list of poses? Please bring that back! I don't know why AR decided to stop focusing on yoga (which it was really good at) and try to be some kind of general "lifestyle" app. My guess is a bad steer from the VCs behind it, and product management who don't know how to focus on doing one thing well..Version: 7.11

An ok app. It’s frustrating that the app doesn’t have chrome cast available so I can’t put workouts on my tv for when I exercise. It’s an easy to use app but because of this I don’t use it as much as I would of. It doesn’t seem to have a website either so can’t chromecast it via a laptop. I also found it misleading to “cancel anytime” but when I purchased it took a years worth of subscription out..Version: 8.0

Disappointed in some key user experience itemsI recently purchased a subscription to lower my stress and to encourage myself to do yoga at home since the weather is turning colder. The app has a lot of great content and is easy to navigate, but my main issues are in settings and program progress. When I set up my account on the app I assumed I could change my settings (beginner level, dietary needs, etc.) as far as I can see there isn’t anywhere to update this. Additionally, because I set it to beginner the beginner videos show on my feed. So, I decided to go ahead and get through them (in case I had something to learn and to get them off of my feed). Yesterday I completed 2 of the 8, but it didn’t show any of this progress on the home feed screen. I had hoped that maybe upon the next day it would reset and realize those had been completed, but it didn’t… really hoping this is something that can be fixed/updated..Version: 10.4

Wait for what cool down? written to support with questions to no availThe workouts in Asana Rebel are really great, especially if you need a short but effective one, and to supplement other kinds of exercise. I’m starting this again after losing conditioning so looking forward to building up strength with this. One thing I am missing is, at the end of the workout it will say “wait for the cool down” and then nothing. I will have to look through the workouts myself to find something which may or may not equate to a “cool down.” Perhaps I am remembering incorrectly, but I thought the last time I subscribed that it automatically linked to a cool down? I can do it myself, I have done my own “cool downs” but that’s not what I’m paying for. Also, written to support at least three times with simple questions (that I think I might have figured out just don’t have the answer i am looking for but don’t know). I have never received a response. For an app with paid content and a subscription I find that terrible customer service. I feel like they dropped the ball on this app, not the fault of the trainers who designed the workouts - which are a pretty great combination of yoga and strength training that you do not see many other places..Version: 8.7

Terrible App - Charged for 3 years after a free trial even after cancellingSign up for this app if you want to be charged for years after cancelling. What a joke!.Version: 10.39

Bad customer serviceCustomer service are pretty unfair with refunds when reached out as didn’t want this subscription again - No refunds on explanation of mistake, just took my money and that’s all they care about. Didn’t want to be back as hasn’t been new content in years. Bet this comment will be deleted!.Version: 10.28

How haven’t they fixed this....I was excited to get the app when I saw a post by someone I follow and she tagged this app. Unfortunately the app hasn’t made any improvements when you purchase it because it doesn’t tell u when purchasing that the whole year subscription will be taken out all at once. It also does not tell you that they do not offer month to month prescriptions. I don’t find it fair if someone wants to try out the app that they have no choice but into buying a whole year. when I address this issue after purchasing the app and finding this information out they told me that they know of the issue and are looking into making updates. But this app has been up for a while so I’m not sure why it has not been done. All it would take is a little coding to fit in a simple line above the prices that says full year subscription due at time of purchase. Or no month to month subscription. They admitted to not having anything to make customers aware before purchase. Highly disappointed and already changed my view on even wanting to use the app..Version: 3.17.1

Not what I expectedVery short workouts (I wish it had longer workouts). Proper explanations on how to do exercises are missing. The routines are hard to follow if you are a beginner or simply come from other types of fitness. The health and food recommendations are for dummies: and for the average healthy person these are a bit hideous. The app interface is simple but doesn’t give you the basic options other great fitness apps give. The music offered is also a bit hideous and the meditations are not that great. Misleading ad campaign for a mediocre app. I got a year subscription and will give it a chance. But definitely not excited about the features and the workouts. Also, the fact that you can’t try the app before subscribing is not good. Video explanations of the workouts without jumping on the workout itself (like all other apps do) are missing. And the integration with Apple health is poor..Version: 8.15
