Freeletics Nutrition for Positive User Reviews

Better than I imaginedI have a good understanding of what to eat and how much, but have consistently failed to stick with any healthy eating regime for a number of practical reasons namely lack of organisation, lack of time and lack of variety: basically recipes are often involved and time consuming and I am too tired after work to fiddle around preparing and cooking, I never have the right food in the fridge or cupboard as recipes often have weird unusual ingredients and I can never decide what to prepare, and so I end up bored with the same breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. So finally decided to pay for the nutrition coach for this app because the recipes looked so easy, and involved little cooking. I was a bit sceptical as it seemed too easy. Well So far I have really enjoyed the eating plan. Each day has about 3 options for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Once I choose my options the app helpfully creates a shopping list, so I bought almost all my ingredients for the week in one go.the recipes are simple and involve minimum cooking and I managed to find virtually all the ingredients in the supermarket. Surprisingly, they taste very nice as well. I was worried I would be hungry as the portion sizes seem so small, but actually I am not feeling deprived ( only done this for a week so far). I also log down the ingredients in my fitness pal for my own records. Must say, if it continues to be so convenient, I can see myself sticking to this plan for a change!.Version: 1.10

Here's the deal.Great app and well designed. 4 stars only because some of the recipes are a bit beyond my PB& J capabilities. Very worldly and wonderful new flavors to try but be aware there's some real cooking involved and the grocery trips will add up.Version: 1.25

Good App. Needs AllergensI personally love this app. The recipes are so good and for people who don’t want to pay there is a lot to offer. However as someone who cooks for people with allergens, in the preference section there is no option to see what is safe. You can do it manually but i feel like this shouldn’t really be an issue. Anyway this is a great app, and that’s my only concern with it.Version: 1.28.6

Very efficient: needs a vegan preferenceI used to have the old, old nutrition app which was basically a load of recipes that were a bit rubbery and had to be cycled week-in, week-out. However, since then (about 2015), and as a part of a special offer, I thought I’d try out the new version: it’s fantastic! There are tonnes of recipes, the coach part magics up the daily plans and even a shopping list. I think the algorithm just focuses on calories and protein, but may be wrong. There’s an option to add in post-workout snacks and you can pick other meals to replace the chosen ones if you want to. It even has explanations about how to eat out following the rules. I disagree with some reviews as most of the recipes are pretty quick: for example, the Freeletics version of an ‘intermediate’ difficulty involves an omelette with vegetables and cheese. Most of the recipes involve some veg prep, some protein, some seasoning and mix it together. It’s probably taken me about 3 hours across the week to prep and ‘cook’ (almost) all of the meals. I have one star left to give and that’s just because of the range of vegan options (for example, many just involve replacing dairy with soy, rather than a specifically vegan recipe involving legumes or built around a vegan protein); the lack of a vegan preference option to build the whole week using vegan recipes and no way to take out allergens. Considering where it was when I last used it and where it is now, it’s amazing. Well worth the extra I’ve paid - I’m enjoying making the meals, I’m thoroughly stuffed most of the time and liking what I’m eating..Version: 1.28.6

Must have if you're looking to lead a healthy lifeI've been doing the Freeletics nutrition and workout plan for only a week now, but I can already tell that this app is going to be something that I'll be using for a very long time. If you're wanting to get in shape or stay in shape, this app will make it so much easier for you to reach your goal..Version: 1.9

AmazingGreat addition to the freeletics workout app!!.Version: 1.30.1

Totally changed my lifestyleNew Years resolution this year was to improve my nutrition. Couldn't have stuck to it without this app. Many of the recipes are quick, easy, and satisfying. Best of all, the coach eliminates the agonizing question of 'what's for dinner'. Highly recommend giving this a try if you're on the fence..Version: 1.6

Great Nutrition App!The recipes are super tasty, with images, and shopping list. I guess the only thing missing would be to favourite recipes as you try them along..Version: 1.5

A recommenderTrès bien construit et pas compliqué.Version: 1.28.3

Best nutritious and easy clean eatingI’ve been using on and off the full sent if Freeletics since 2015. When nutrition has been added the selection wasn’t as much as it’s now. I’m glad I’ve subscribed together with coach fitness program while following each day and browsing the selection of food I can have. My family and kids do enjoy every single thing I’ve tried for last 3 weeks and we all can’t believe how tasty each prepared food is! On top of that me and my husband started to see the body change, I’ve lost 0.5kg each week for last 3 weeks without hunger or cravings and my husband started seeing his 6 packs he was trying to get for last 2 years! We are both 40+ with busy work / business trips constantly but since eating clean and following Freeletics guidelines we are both so energetic, wake up at 5am until 10-11 pm every day! Clean eating and fitness go together, so THANK YOU for making our journey better for us and help to change our lifestyle!.Version: 1.28.4

The man can cook, live and be healthy !It changed my life and the boredom of meal prep ! So many tasty, healthy recipes, easy to make and on to of that make me like broccoli and other veggies I don't like ! I never felt like starving while cutting Thanks to the coach mode that gives you tailored recipes based on your fitness goals. On top of that, it helped me impress friends and bae 🙌🏽😊.Version: 1.8

Great!!I love this app! It makes eating healthy easy. I love that they give you options to choose from for each meal. I would though, love it if meals were repeated more- I am finding I have all these fresh ingredients that are going to waste because I don't use them after one or two meals..Version: 1.12

Tasty recipes and easy to followFor a man who doesn’t cook much, I’ve been able to make some tasty meals. Plus I’m eating healthy food that are new to me; foods that are going to help me get strong..Version: 1.28.5

DecentPretty good - can’t search for recipes that I can see... decent variety.Version: 1.28.5

Very impressedSo far so good, really impressed with the ease of this app and the recipes are delicious, a job well done.Version: 1.27.1

Great butDoes not give you the option of limiting out the kind of food you eat/want..Version: 1.27

Love it! Easy, delicious recipes! This app is new, I think it was released May 2016. I have been using this app for the last 3 days. My food scale has come in handy for measuring. Starting on the 4th day today. So far I have cooked about 2-3 of the recipes they give me each day. Breakfast is the one I usually figure out on my own. You can change your food preference setting at any time to alter your meal plan. The recipes I have chooses are easy, quick and delicious! They taste great and look really nice once plated so I've been taking pictures of it for Instagram. Features I would love in a new release are: 1. Conversion to ounces (even though I am doing fine since my food scale measures in grams too). Also when setting your height and weight it's in cm and kilos instead of inches and pounds so I had to do the conversion with Google. 2. Ability to create a weekly shopping list per recipe 3. More leafy greens daily (I love having a salad or green smoothie daily) 4. Ability to choose dairy free as a food restriction or that the recipes offer dairy replacements options. Also, vegan as a food preference would be nice. Vegetarian is included as an option though which I plan to tryout. I like to include a mix of animal, vegetarian and vegan meals in my day..Version: 1.0

Healthy options and portionsThe nutrition app is pretty good. It provides options for each meal and allows you to add the items to your grocery list. It also can lookup other recipes available based on your grocery list. The one thing I wish it had was the ability to filter the recipes based on ingredients. This would be extremely helpful for people with food allergies..Version: 1.28.6

Good app if you’re committed! So far, so good. The recipes are delicious and ensure that you are full at the end. I wish there were more options for individuals who don’t like eggs. : ( You do have to be organized about what you are planning on eating. Definitely not for someone who wants to eat as normal but track - you have to stick to the food plan. I like the shopping list feature. Could be made better if the app showed you what you picked - I had to write my daily picks down in order to see which meals I prepped were for which days..Version: 1.28.5

Stunning and SatiatingAside from the evident and inspiring design, this app delivers a selection of useful recipes for meals and snacks throughout the day. I've found it useful in upgrading the quality of my diet while ensuring I continue to maintain a consistent calorie intake each day..Version: 1.5

Awesome recipes, lots of bugsI have been using Nutrition for the past couple of months. It is a life changing app. Love all the recipes. However, it is full of bugs. For instance, it doesn't save the unit for weight and randomly switch units between SI and English, or the shopping list randomly updates itself and marks stuff as purchased. Also, I have the app on multiple devices and they don't sync very well. I hope they resolve these issues in near future..Version: 1.30.1

I'm so impressedI'm obsessed with this app; the meals are very clean and nutritionally balanced. Each recipe is incredibly easy to make, and takes very little time at all. They also taste great, and I find the selection of recipes very appetite whetting. Crucially, each recipe also shows some basic nutritional information (fat / carbs / protein / calories) which makes it easy to input the values into myfitnesspal and keep track of what I'm consuming. The app also caters for different dietary requirements (veggie / vegan / pescatarian / meat-eater) as opposed to other similar apps. I've only been following the plan for just over a week, but I've already lost 3lbs and I have so much more energy than I usually do and I'm sleeping a lot less. I also surprisingly don't feel remotely hungry, as the recipes are very filling and I don't have any sugar crashes or cravings. Will definitely carry on using this app!.Version: 1.3

Great way to change habitsTasty recipes, especially love the shopping list feature. Only watch out with baking times as they don't seem to be adjusted for smaller portions, so in the beginning I ended up with a few burnt muffins and dry chickens!.Version: 1.12

Loving it!Great recipes and variety of dishes!.Version: 1.28.4

Nice app but could improveI am really enjoying preparing and eating the recipes that the coach proposes me but at times it keeps adding recipes that I never choose because I don’t like and doesn’t provide a suitable option. There should be the possibility to search for recipes with the same amount of calories and add them to a specific day so even if I am not eating the recipes suggested by the coach I can still add the ones that are more to my taste without having to search for them all the time. Also, it doesn’t show a history of the weight, I don’t know if that happens only with me but I cannot keep track of that. It’s been months since I received the last message with one of the tips, another bug? With the money we’re paying, we would appreciate some updates of the app, with more features added to keep it interesting and flexible..Version: 1.30.1

Vegetarian... but no vegan4 stars for a clean layout and an effective approach, but the 5th star would have come if the coach could run on a vegan diet. There’s vegetarian as an option, but for those who skip the dairy, having a vegan option would be great. Hope to see that in future releases.Version: 1.28.4

Quick to prepare and very nutritiousAll the recipes are so quick to prepare. Great for when you have a family. I love the recipes on the app. Easy to swap out ingredients if they don’t suit my tastes. Love the shopping list once you chosen what you want through your suggested recipes. Highly recommended..Version: 1.25

Loads slowIt sometimes larked a while to load a page.Version: 1.28.6

Really good 👍🏿Been using freeletics for a bunch of years on and off, really loving the nutrition app. Just gets better.Version: 1.26

Very goodVery good app along with fitness app, just needs a vegan plan..Version: 1.28.6

Shopping list should be updatedLike the recipes but the shopping list is a bit silly.Version: 1.5

GoodI like to try and follow the meal plans the best I can, I have tried a few recipes now and they were all easy to follow, all the ingredients worked well together and the food was really nice..Version: 1.13

MrSimple and easy to use, great app.Version: 1.1.1

Amazing! This is some of the best food I've ever eaten, and I feel full all day! I just started this week so I feel like I'm cooking a lot and always running to the grocery to grab missing ingredients, but I plan to get organized with everything this weekend so hopefully week 2 won't seem so hectic. But, like I said, the food is great plus I've already lost 6 lbs in 3 days so it is soooo worth it!!!.Version: 1.6

KaizenContinuously changing my life to the better!.Version: 1.28.3

Really cool!I love the fast, quick, and easy meals! Thank you :) There’s a minor bug where there’s text at the bottom-edge of the screen saying “Added to your shopping list” when you select a meal. It would be great to add a weeks worth of shopping to the list instead of single meals..Version: 1.28.6

UselessWorkout app is great, the nutrition is useless. No option to add your own recipes, say toast with peanut butter, so you’re forced to either only eat their complicated food or have inaccurate results (: would not recommend..Version: 1.25

Overall...very satisfiedGood app with fun recipes. I like how you can pick and the recipe ingredients show up in a shopping list. My critique would be to section the items out so that they are categories for meats and poultry, veggies, condiments/herbs/spices, etc. this makes shopping easier so that you know what to get when you need at. As of now, ingredients are added based on recipes. For example ingredients for spicy shrimp salad show up together, and then next selected recipe for green lentil salad show. Also, I’m not sure if I should be picking small, medium, or large recipes or if my “coach” will do that. Thoughts? All in all, I like this app.Version: 1.28.4

Love the app and the new updates! This app is great for getting me in the mindset of clean eating. I love the updates is recently made to its "Recipes" tab. Is there anyway a feature could be added to search by a certain ingredient? That way, I can make recipes based on what I already have instead of spending money when I don't need to!.Version: 1.24

Amazing appI’ve been using the freeletics exercise app for over 6 years now. I’ve seen good results but since I tried the nutrition app with the exercise I can visibly see that my body is changing for the better. There are many wonderful recipes which can be made easily and time efficient. One thing I’d like to see in future is to give the app certain ingredients that I already have at home and getting healthy recipes based on that. It would really help to get rid of the left over ingredients. Overall, this is a wonderful app..Version: 1.30.1

Great appI wasn't sure how this worked at first. But when I started using it, I am glad I purchased it. I have lost weight with the help of his app. It plans my meals all day long for me. You are assigned a coach. All the meals are healthy choices. It also adds the meals to a shopping list. Not all the meals I am familiar with. But I have learned to be open minded about different foods and flavors. I would 100% recommend this app. I lost eight by changing my eating habits with the help of this app and also by adding exercise to my daily regiment..Version: 1.3

💡I have an idea for you. When the app creates the shopping list of ingredients we need to buy, based on the meals we’ve selected in the app. Can you somehow connect it with our local supermarket so that we can see the real cost of the groceries needed? And hopefully push an order now button to order the list of items from the store. Or we can go there to look for the items ourselves. Maybe it would be good if it connected to stores we can also change the products, brands, etc. I’m sure it can be done. I’ve often found when I follow these nutrition apps they have great pictures and meals and look good everything but when you actually cost it out at the grocery store the numbers are astonishingly high for a weekly shop. The costing out and the number crunching at the store there hits the user and that’s where the problem needs to be solved in order for it to be seamless. It’s even worse if you are single as the wastage of fresh produce is perishable. If you could somehow work out a way for us to do that. I think this would be a killer app and worth the coach fee. It would be a seamless experience. If that number crunching issue was resolved. It’s not just about the app it’s about the entire end-to-end experience using the app. Thank you 🙏.Version: 1.30.1

Great accompaniment to Bodyweight appReally interesting recipes that help you think creatively about clean food. Things for the app developers to think about: 1) the ability for users to rate recipes they don’t like so they don’t appear in future weekly plans. If everyone is rating something bad then these recipes are eventually removed; 2) indication of the size of vegetables which sometimes vary enormously; 3) the ability to link up automatically with the Bodyweight app so exercises are within context of diet for that day and you can indicate that you are having a rest day so that is adjusts the menu accordingly. For example, should you be having a day high in fat if you’re not exercising?.Version: 1.22

Useful and easy to useI have paid for the coach and find the meal planning helpful. Recipes are simple to make and typically done in 5 to 20 minutes. I wish the feature to add recipes to the shopping list aggregated items (e.g. 3 eggs, not 2 eggs + 1 egg).Version: 1.10
