✓ Only AI customer service, no possibility to talk to a person if you have a problemThe app itself is quite good. It is mostly as easy to use as Wechat, but obviously with more work oriented features. There are lots of great features that companies can use. We made the switch a few months ago, and mostly it’s been seamless. Replacing the fingerprint recognition system with an automated “punch in/punch out” feature has worked well. You can see system generated reports for features like this. PROS - You can use mini programs from Wechat. - The additional functionality, like expense reporting, attendance management, calendar, basic to-do lists are useful(but limited compared to standalone offerings for specific purposes) CONS - poor customer support. There is no contact phone or email for a human. You can only “talk to” an AI bot. This is terrible, for a big, important service like this. - your account can get restricted if you have a Wechat account linked to your Wecom account, and you have Wechat contacts in group chats you set up. This is a BIG problem. It’s unclear what triggers this automatic restrictions sometimes, and even if there’s no obvious infraction committed, your account can be restricted and you can’t message in group chats with Wechat contacts inside. This is immensely frustrating and has a big impact on work. - group chat management should be updated to match the functionality offered in Wechat. For example, in Wechat you can rename group chats only for yourself(as opposed to renaming the group for everyone to see), which is very useful when you have a lot of group chats to manage/participate in. This feature would be very useful in Wecom.Version: 3.1.7

✓ Unrealistic demands for verificationI am a legally registered company in Mexico who buys wholesale smart electronics from China where WeChat is popular. This app refuses to recognize my Government issued company registration paperwork identifying my legally registered company name, ownership, VAT number ( in Mexico it’s called RFC) and import license. It is difficult to get support. Their response was that the format of the paperwork México supplies is not the way China registers and I must comply with their format. Completely Inflexible however they want to attract foreign trade. WhatsApp for business is far superior but it’s unfortunate that some areas in China forbid the use of end to end encryption software and WhatsApp is forbidden. Good thing it was free but who knows where copies of my official paperwork ended up. Don’t waste your time downloading this app..Version: 3.0.21
