Notation Pad-Sheet Music Score for Positive User Reviews

Awesome👍🏻.Version: 2.1.0

YotusYeeeeet.Version: 1.7.6

.They made me give them 5 stars to unlock some features.Version: 1.6.0

Pretty good, but...I gave it a 5 star rating because of its user friendliness. However, it’s flaw is that you cannot change the key, time signature, and a bunch of other stuff without paying. For a young, broke person like me, this makes it pretty hard to use. However, I was able to work around it by just putting those details in the name of the song..Version: 1.8.1

LolThis is just so I can change the theme lol.Version: 1.6.0

This app is amazingAlthough you have to pay for the whole pack, it is so worth it!.Version: 1.5.8

Good but think it’s crazy how it worksOk 👌 so I like it because you can create songs buuuuuuuut there are issues I can’t save because of VIP craps 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩ha ha anyway so were was I oh ya you can’t save uless you have VIP🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 hope you fix the problem 😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷Corona Virus is out there and people get bored with nothing to do so hurry the up USA 🇺🇸 also president trump is a great man 👨 ceep up the great fight 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.Version: 1.8.5

I’m only doing this cuz I have toBasically the notation pad has an issue where I need to rate it 5 stars for me to get background colours so yea actually like 1 star..Version: 2.1.0

Ok igCool free in app stuff.Version: 2.0.2

Such a good app!!Anyone who wants to write their own music or create their own covers for songs should definitely download this app!! Though there is a paid version, the free version is also very customisable :).Version: 1.4.3

Pretty okYep.Version: 1.8.6

Need some supportI am not a professional musician, so I am only using the very basic feature of this app, and so far it seems to be working the way it should. However, I need some help, but I can’t find a link where I can ask the developer, so I am going to ask here, and hopefully the developer will answer me. I transcribed a song to the notation pad, but half way through it, I realized that I should have started one octave higher. Is there a way I can move all the notes that I put down on the pad to one octave higher, without deleting all of it and do it again from scratch? Also, is there an easier way to ask questions than through the review, in case I have more questions down the road? Thank you very much..Version: 1.4.3

I LOVE IT!I absolutely love this app! I needed an app that would allow me to compose pieces while also allowing me to hear it for my Music Theory Class since I don’t really have a laptop yet and, so far, it’s been absolutely wonderful. The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 Stars is because I have trouble removing notes when I want to tweak something in, say, the first measure but I already have the first sheet of music done. To get rid of that one note, I could get rid of it but it takes forever for that little “x” to come up (maybe it’s because of my big fingers). Another reason why I can’t give it five stars is because I still haven’t tried out the feature that would let me send my homework to my teacher so, fingers crossed that it works. As for the paid stuff, to be honest, I feel like it’s worth the money since most programs like this are about the same amount anyway. All in all, great app and I can’t wait to see how the developers improve it even more ❤️.Version: 1.5.5

LaggyLatest update has made it quite laggy. Please fix. Otherwise pretty good.Version: 1.5.6

CoolNot bad Too many ads tho.Version: 1.8.1

MehIt’s ok but u cant copy and paste notes and it’s annoying that u have to place every single note, I’m only rating 5 star to get a different background colour :).Version: 1.7.0

🤩This app is absolutely amazing! But (as with every great app) there comes a time for improvements. There are a few things that could be touched up on. - Clarinet sound The clarinet is way too quiet and is barely heard when next to the flute or trumpet. - Contrabass/Double Bass/Bass Sound This instrument is shown but has no sound. Please fix this. -Dynamics options There are more dynamics options in the world of music, these aren’t needed as much but could be useful. -A tiny bit more clefs Like the dynamics, not that important but useful. -One annoying bug Okay, I don’t know why but sometimes the instruments turn into a drum kit. Please fix this it’s very annoying..Version: 1.5.7

:DVery awesome so far!!!.Version: 1.5.3

CoolGreat for me! Takes a bit to get used to, but once you get the swing of things it’s easy! :).Version: 1.4.3

GoodIt good.Version: 1.9.1

Notation padIt’s well made..Version: 1.8.1

AydanNBGreat app and easy to use.Version: 1.6.0

This is a good app but i have a questionThis is a reasonabley good app, even for the free version i just dont like the watermark on the page when i print. also does a macbook pro version exsisit?🤔 because if it does then id be happy to get it..Version: 1.5.7

AmazingVery nice Thank you.Version: 1.3.5

This is great!I am an up and coming composer, five foot five, fourteen years, and I think this app is great! I've been taking piano for about 9 years now, and I must say: This sure beats handwriting! The app is great because not only does it allow the user to create amazing sounding music, it also plays the music quite nicely. Overall, I think this app has great potential to become your next music composing tool of choice (besides your brain obviously)..Version: 1.4.0

Idk, doing it for the free themeIt wasn’t able to connect to the internet, I’m just trying to find music to practice my playing.Version: 1.8.1

Great App!!So easy to use!! It’s great for my iPad! Love it.Version: 1.8.6

Great appPractical music notation app.Version: 1.5.1

Elegant BasicsThis is a fantastic little app for quick music entry. While it doesn’t have the versatility of a full-featured computer program like Musescore, it is infinitely simpler to use. Perfect little travel app too. I often use it to write scales or tricky passages of a piece into it and use the playback feature to improve my intonation and rhythm..Version: 1.5.8

Missing sustain featuresIt’s all decent quality other than the sustain pedal not being included, to compose decent solo songs you usually have to be very lucky or talented or have the sustain pedal..Version: 1.5.8

Great Help!Using this to practice writing for school music exam. Really useful one you understand how to use it!.Version: 1.6.2

Lovely but...I love this so much I even brought the reed instrument add on but all the instruments are all transposed eg: a c on the tenor sax is a g on the alto but on this app a c on the tenor is the same as a c on a alto! Please don't transpose the instruments.Version: 1.4.1

Pretty GoodI just use this for stuff and it is really useful I don’t know how to delete my song but it’s still okay..Version: 1.6.0

Great appEasy to use..Version: 1.5.2

Amazing! This app has helped me so much in getting down my ideas, THANK YOU! ❤️🎵.Version: 2.1.0

It is estimated that up to 32 villages dating back to Roman times have already been lost to the seaJii.Version: 1.5.2

I lurrrrrve it!I completely love this app. My only complaint is the price of the extras package. It costs £9.99, which costs more than Minecraft (Which costs £6.99). ItsGeorgeHere.Version: 1.6.0

Beginner SongWriterLove this app. I was watching a vlog on the top songwriting apps and this was suggested as #10. I understand music theory and song progression through learning to playing and playing the violin for so long, but I’ve never created my own music. I’m teaching myself to write music and songs based on my experiential knowledge. This app is amazing for people who can sight read and play an instrument by ear because it so easy to put a note on the page, play it and build on it to make the sound or song as you hear it in your mind. The written notes are placed along a score and helps to remove the necessity of constantly having an instrument available. It’s so easy to use from editing, deleting, adding, saving. It’s so great. Check it out. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth the purchase. It’s not going to create a whole song with the ability to introduce multiple instruments or effects available in a mixing studio. But it’s perfect for creating sheet music verbatim or using it to build the skeleton of a song that you may choose to upload into another program to add Sound FX, vocals, drum beats, etc. I love it. Check it out. I hope I’ve described the app in enough detail on how it’s benefited me in order to know whether it’s a great fit for you..Version: 1.5.2

Does what is neededThe premium is expensive to get but the free area can get a simple sheet music done. I don’t think complex pieces will be good as it will need the premium to be bought..Version: 1.6.2

Its ok.Not long since downloaded it, so not understood everything it does yet. But, seems a good basic notation app. My only concern is how to input lyrics under the score..Version: 1.9.1

CoolIt works for the easy stuff.Version: 1.7.1

...I rated 5 stars to unlock something.Version: 1.6.8

EhhhOnly doing this to u lock something, i dont think its all that..Version: 2.1.0

Pretty goodWould be better without in-app purchases.Version: 1.4.0

The app told me to give it 5 stars... I have no comment.Version: 1.7.1

Only doing this for colour changeDon’t know what this is like just yet but doing this to change the colour..Version: 1.8.5

Background colourJust rated for the background colour lol haven’t actually been on the app long enough to know how it is.Version: 1.6.0

Wow!amazing! It's great to have such a app to let me write my ideas out!.Version: 1.7.1

BackgroundI only rated this for the background. I haven’t tried it yet, but it will hopefully be good!.Version: 1.7.6

Great appGood app but it’s a bit limited. Would be better if premium was cheaper, $15 is a lot...Version: 1.5.8

From a professional musician....Great ease of use, but would seriously suggest a help tab. Had to purchase separate instruments that I don't need in order to get a single bass line, then realised you could change the clef. The sound disappears occasionally. Any ideas why this might be?Overall, although I have only had this for twelve hours, after a quick kip I was desperate to get cracking again..Version: 1.5.2

Great! This app is pretty good! It’s easy to use. Expensive though. It’s like 13.99 to get basic needs such as time signature and bpm. Could you add breath marks and the ability to put in lyrics too? Also a "voice" option for the instrument would be great!.Version: 2.0.2

Don’t knowDone.Version: 2.1.0

AmazingI love it, though I do wish that I could play more instruments. I’m using it for notes for my GCSE composition, but I am using 4 instruments: a flute, a violin, an acoustic guitar and a piano. I wish they could at least let you have four at a time, as I am 14 and a half, and am not going to be able to pay for the subscription..Version: 2.1.0

Best notation app (question for devs)As far as a notation program, you are better off using a computer, but I really love using this app when I don't have access to a computer. It has every basic feature needed. Overall, It is more of a 4 star app, but since its the best of its kind on the AppStore it deserves 5. It would be amazing if there was an online forum or way to contact the developers in case you have any questions. Question for devs: I was writing a song and somehow got some notes to turn up grey which would allow me to write another voicing with a different rhythm. How do I enable and disable this feature?.Version: 1.5.2

Drums? This is a great app for notating on the go! But I’ve recently found that when my music goes past a certain measure number the bass line becomes percussion? It stops being a bass line on the piano and just starts becoming cymbal crashes and other drum noises. I can’t figure out how to make it stop. The “instrument” page says it’s just a piano so I have no idea what’s going on and it’s ruining the sound of my music. If this gets fixed then the app is 5 star worthy..Version: 1.5.5

Loving itLove this app so far.Version: 1.8.5

Current RatingsI really like it, because it’s free. Ari gato!.Version: 1.4.3

CoolnessThis app is pretty cool. The free version is great, and I bet that’s exactly what some of you are wondering. You can use pretty much any staff elements and there is a button that you can push that will put a line on the screen that guides you through the notes. Why the missing star? The adds about becoming a paying member are far more annoying and have a secret way of getting out that took me a while to discover: above the sign up, 7.99 a month, there is a sentence in smaller print that says, “or continue with free version”. That is where you click, on the words. If you are bad at noticing obvious things like me and you get the free version (which I would suggest), you’ll be glad you saw this. Also, to the developer, sorry for the previous, harsh review. Enjoy making some music!.Version: 1.6.8

Great So Far, But...I just downloaded this app because I needed a portable program to easily write sheet music. I decided to try it out. It works really well; much better than the computer program I use, but I'm a little disappointed about one thing. I tried to change the key signature, but it said I needed to buy the extras pack to do so. I read the details, and it seems other things that I would like to use also require the purchase. I don't think it seems fair that I need to pay to change the key signature and tempo, change the clef, and add a pickup bar. I'm not giving the app up just yet and I will buy the purchase as soon as I can, but I just thought I'd share my opinion. My main question: Why DO you need to pay for those things, anyway? And one more thing: I've noticed that there isn't an option for certain sound effects that can be played on other instruments, either. Do you think you could add those in a different update? If so, I'd appreciate it..Version: 1.5.8

Literally just doing this cause it forced meThis is a great app, but... it forces you to rate it five stars to actually unlock something. So it’s good, but bad.Version: 1.8.1

Seems greatJust discovered this and already tempted to get all the extras so I can make full use of this app!.Version: 1.4.3

SiSi.Version: 1.7.0

Amazing!!Really great! It is amazing for music presentations and for people when their beginning to learn piano 🥰💞.Version: 1.8.1

Great Easy to use appAt last I can have fun experimenting with composition and combining multiple sounds..Version: 1.5.2

Rating to unlock backgroundsI’ve barely used it yet but so far so good..Version: 1.7.3

Not a reviewJust doing this for the background colours. I don’t see why I have to go out of my way and talk about this app in a way I don’t want to after I paid £10 for the full version.Version: 1.7.1

Very niceDoesn’t need premium to access basic features or time limit on free version).Version: 1.8.9

GoodIt’s A Really nice app But I don’t like that You need to Pay for Extra Instruments.Version: 1.7.6

Notation PadWhere is 8va?.Version: 1.8.5

Great app!Great app! Super easy to use, best music score app around! And ive tried a few!.Version: 1.4.0

They forced me to rate 5 stars to unlock features! 😂No idea if it’s good yet. But don’t trust the five star rating! 😉.Version: 1.8.5

Pretty good, but overpricedThe app itself is quite wonderful, but to buy every feature costs $15. Definitely overpriced. However, the app is amazing. I can test out anything I want and design any song I want, any key and time signature, any tempo, a wide selection of instruments. I would however like to point out that there are no non pitched percussion instruments like bass drum, snare drum, cymbals. But the app is still excellent. It has so many features that I don’t even recognize some of them. I would definitely recommend this app if you want to make a song or just a piano score..Version: 1.5.5

How about lyrics?Like the app but would be nice if we could write lyrics in it... Also, the way the app counts note values/ duration limits the rhythms you can put in..Version: 1.8.5

Im only doing this cuz yall told me toYo.Version: 1.8.6

AWESOME!!!!This app rocks!!! I am an amazing pianist now because of you guys! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!.Version: 1.7.6

Very handyVery handy app for us muso’s out there.Version: 1.4.3

Very impressedBest notation software I've ever come across. Quick and easy to use. Thanks for a great app!.Version: 1.4.2

It's greatEasy to use but expensive to upgrade 🙅🏼‍♂️.Version: 1.6.0

AmazingI play piano all the time. And iam to lazy to write down what I do. With this app I can literally transfer everything..Version: 1.6.2

Very versatile and great to useI am a sophomore in high school that likes to create music from scratch... I don’t have any expensive monthly computer music subscription that is hard to use or expensive... All I have to make music with is a tiny 4 year old iPhone SE... I found this app and after I little whole of searching I was about to give up... I downloaded it and found how easy this was to use and how well it put chords and multiple parts together... I have stretched this app out to its limits with its max of 8 parts along with chords and this second line feature that allows you to put two parts on one line... this app almost perfectly read out the music and can handle a simple duo or solo to even homemade symphonies... this app is definitely worth the money but it has a couple of issues with sound defects and some chords that are supposed to work like octave down G chord (key of B flat) on Trombone is very out of tune... along with other chords on specific instruments... And some of the instruments can’t handle fast moving parts... (contrabass is one) But I’ve found this app very useful and user friendly and I give it 5 big ones..Version: 1.8.5

AccurateI just purchased the app, and am impressed with the accuracy of the scanned page of piano score. I like the ability to play back, edit, and export as xml. I will consider buying the Extra pack to enable scanning scores with several parts..Version: 1.5.0

NiceReally easy to use useful app for me to make piano covers.Version: 1.6.0

Notation padI would recommend this to all my friends.Version: 1.7.1

This is AMAZING!!!I Love this app sooooooooooo much. It make writing my music so much easier!!.Version: 1.8.6

Amazing appThis app is perfect for when i have an idea and just want to write it down to not forget it, I dont use it however for actual music writing.Version: 1.5.2

AwfulI’m only giving it five stars because you can’t unlock anything is you don’t.Version: 1.5.6

Gonna unlock a dark feature, yayThe app seems well put together and professional.Version: 2.0.1

Pretty GoodI don’t want to get into the payment details about this but it’s technically worth it. The app is pretty good for when you are not actually able to play/write music at the moment. There are some problems like no swing functionalities and the fact that triplets at the end of the measure and possible unless you change the time signature. The biggest and worst problem are the instruments, look they’re okay but WAY out of tune. Harmony is not possible with two different instruments. I play saxophones and other reed instruments so I can say this about brass. Reed instruments are pretty bad. Saxophones are way to high, the highest note for alto is C but it is generally F sharp on an actual saxophone. Tenor sax is just out of tune completely. Barisax is way to high. Sopranosax is the best one. Clarinets are just way to quite. I mean other than that, it’s a pretty good app. The key board, guitars, basses, percussion, etc sounds pretty well. Although the string instruments always do the start of the note. This makes string instrument kind of robotic. Other than these things, it’s definitely worth it..Version: 1.6.8

Would recommend, but ….I really like this app and I would definitely recommend it to other music lovers. However there are some things that can be improved on. For example: I came out of one song I was working on to work on another song. When I came back to the first song, I couldn’t use the undo button. That was very frustrating. Other than that and a few other things, the app is very good and I enjoy using it..Version: 2.1.0

I love itThis is an amazing app for any arrangers or composers or just young musicians in the making. I truly believe this helps with harmonies and melodies and how to write good music. I think that anyone with a passion for music should get this. I really love it..Version: 1.5.7

Awesome app, and I really wanted that eggshell backgroundNo BS, this app is very helpful and what I’ve been looking for. Been reading intensive theory, so having this app alongside counterpoint and various harmonic exercises helps me greatly in digesting material quicker. However, I find the rating to be a bit misleading when certain customizable options (namely the background-color adjustment) is available only after a five-star review is exchanged..Version: 1.5.2

P goodThis is basically like muse score it’s just a bit more annoying but otherwise great.Version: 1.4.3

GreatTo exit subscription page just click on the “continue with a limited version” text above the buy button..Version: 2.1.0

GoodI honestly want another background colour. But. So far so good..Version: 1.8.1

It good apart for the adsIt is really good since I,m starting a band the only down side is whenever you try do something it give you an ad.Version: 1.5.6

Great!Bro! I think this can be better then GarageBand!.Version: 1.7.6

Pricy but invaluable on the goWrite a lot on the side. Has more features than a free one and highly reliable but don’t expect to put more than 5 instruments; unable to break stems or rearrange notation symbols. :( Still the best thing for me; invaluable for those with bouts of inspiration but little time to prep a paper; it’s literally there when you need it! Haven’t tested limitations but will in the future! Ty developer for a very useful app. c:.Version: 1.5.2

Really good app! This app is really easy to use, and helpful, although it is kinda annoying that there are so many adds, for example, I’m a student in middle school, trying to do my music homework, when I get an ad for penis enlargement surgery. Just a small complaint, other I would recommend this app!.Version: 1.7.1

Great but missing some vital thingsThis app is fantastic for song writing, but I noticed some missing features. Most notably, there is no 8va or peddle mark to use while writing songs which I have found a little bit annoying at times. Can you please incorporate these features. Great work!.Version: 1.8.6

NoiceGood.Version: 1.7.3

Needs More Than C maj. but it’s cool!I’m not paying for premium, however the free version is WONDERFUL! Sure, I can only use 4/4 and C maj. but I can convert!!!!! I love all the options, even 128th notes! I can also use it for my band rehearsals because I’ll know how I’m supposed to sound!! Never thought an app like this could be so cool!.Version: 1.6.8

Great! But....This app is incredible for writing music. There are a few flaws, though. It can get sluggish if a song exceeds around 150 measures. I also wish you can use more than just 8 separate instruments. And the biggest flaw is that transposition ranges from sounding a full octave below written, to a full octave above written. This doesn’t allow some instruments to be charted properly, such as the tenor, and baritone saxes. Fix these few things, and it’s easily 5/5 stars..Version: 1.6.1

AwesomeSuper happy with the app, everything works perfectly.Version: 1.5.7

Only for the colour access lolDis feature is kinda annoying ngl.Version: 1.8.5

Ok for small projectsBit hit and miss learning how to use it, but eventually you begin to pick things up. Took me a good hour to realise that the delete bar only worked if you pointed the plus sign at the bar line! And it’s been like that with all of this app. Wonder why it has not occurred to the promoters to write a manual! I would say get the app but only if you’ve got plenty of time to sit and work it out and you only want to do simple things with it. It says you can do lyrics, if you can it’s beyond me, and although there is a chord symbol, it is beyond me how you use it, so I’m afraid its the old black pen on the music score!!!! Good luck. Update..... This is a really great app but you need a little patience to learn how to use it. It’s really simple once you get the idea. Tap on a blank bit of the manuscript up comes a x move that to wherever you want the note you’ve selected. If you want a chord over this note, select the chord symbol, tap on a blank bit and move the x to the note and tap again. Same with the lyrics. Everything has to be linked to either a note, rest or bar line. Hope this helps newbies!.Version: 1.5.7

Likes this appI love this app.Version: 1.5.7

Please read but I love this appI use this app to write songs for fun when I’m bored or even when I need to practice something I can write it into music and hear how it sounds then be able to learn it that way but only a few more things should be implemented such as quintuplets or sextuplets related to a regular triplet or other things in music that haven’t been added but other then that I love to use this anytime and I probably will be buying the full version once I get the money.Version: 1.8.1

Very goodIt’s very useful for me.Version: 1.8.0
