✓ Are you kidding ?This is for Amanita Design. I was actually checking to see if Pilgrims was offered for iOS - no. I have bought both Samorost 3 and Machinarium. They’re both good games, they both show some age, but they’re worth getting. I was really excited when I went to the app store and it just said “complete”. I checked and found that I could simply hit that button to get the other 2 games in the “bundle” for free!! Excellent, right ? WRONG !! I did, I was told they were installed, and then a pop-up appeared telling me they’re no longer available. Uh yeah, they ARE still available in the store, you just seem to no longer want to offer them as a free bundle. You have to now pay for them separately if you want them. Well Amanita if that’s the case, YOU SHOULD REMOVE THE COMPLETE BUTTON. I’ll have to check your supposed “sales” more carefully from now on..Version: 1.7
✓ Beautiful game but complicatedThis game is simply the most beautifully crafted game. The graphics are a wonderful piece of art. Truly. But this game is also a bit complicated to get through and at times, not exactly intuitive to figure out the puzzle. I’ve had to use the walkthrough online to get through a good chunk of these tasks. ✓ Drives me round the bend....No doubting the beautiful graphics, smooth game play and that it challenges the brain! However, after playing for two hours tried to save it, and in doing so it wiped out all I'd done 😡 I really can't be bothered to go back to the beginning. Why oh why isn't there a simple explanation about how to save your place? It's madness and maddening! After getting the hang of the game, and making good progress I feel I've wasted a morning playing this. It's possible for devs to make an 'auto' save, so having put so much effort into making the game it seems they really don't care about their customers! I even looked at the controls before I started playing. Looked simple enough, but in reality I don't have a clue how you save your position in this game?.Version: 1.2

✓ Ridiculous menuAs others have stated, the menu is atrocious. It’s so ridiculously nonsensical that after messing with it about a dozen times I’ve given up. Either the developers are non-English speaking and are too apathetic to get a translator, or they are just plain apathetic to begin with. Take your pick. Also, the game is pointlessly difficult. Any game where even a walkthrough video is no help should be deleted from the app store. Would give 0 stars if possible..Version: 1.4

✓ Stunning graphics but too slowFirstly to those complaining of the game crashing on iPhone 4 or earlier iPads need to read the minimum requirements. Would have saved you the trouble and money. I loved mechanarium by the same people who designed this game. So graphics are equally stunning. But the game play is too slow. Every time he plays that horn I want to stick it up his.... It takes forever to play some silly tune. And this reflects a lot of the game play. Takes forever for certain actions to happen (this is not a lag issue btw it's the game play itself). Every time you need to look at the hint book you have to annoyingly align some stupid dots two different times. It doesn't take long for this to do your head in. It should be a lesson to the designers. Don't over complicate or engineer something. Your indulgence is at the expense of our entertainment..Version: 1.0

✓ UNINTUITIVE !! 🙄I was looking forward to playing this game as I loved "machinarium" and "botanicula" (two brilliant games by amanita design) but I found this game extremely unintuitive. I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing half the time - there seemed to be no logic to some of the puzzles. The graphics are gorgeous and the music/ sound effects complement the game perfectly but I doubt that I'll finish the game as I'm having to use the hint button constantly which isn't an enjoyable way to play.😔.Version: 1.1

It is a beautifully crafted game but I found it impossible to progress without referring to walkthroughs. ✓ Great art, bad puzzlesGreat art and sound design, but bad puzzles. Many of the later puzzles seem to require trial and error or logical leaps that aren't explained. The game is further hampered by optional puzzles which are not differentiated in any consistent way from the mandatory puzzles. The reward for solving an optional puzzle is a song which you'll never listen to. These puzzles make the mandatory puzzles harder because it's never clear if the puzzle you're stuck on is necessary to progress or a fun diversion. Even if you loved Machinarium I wouldn't waste your time with this..Version: 1.2
✓ Beautiful but not intuitiveVery first ‘puzzle’ with a pulley had me stumped for half an hour. Had to look up a walkthrough to find the obscure, and ‘not remotely hinted at’ solution. Not a good start, and I’ve played adventure puzzle games for years. Artwork is stunning, but there’s no sense of logic, you try just tapping things in the frustrating hope that something works. ✓ Hunh?No instructions so checked the user page on the developers site. Some helpful hints but no real instructions. What the user guide describes is only partially helpful because it does not match what is in my game. There is no settings icon on the first screen. Even if the icon was there you cannot get back to the first screen to use it. The Lore book is less than helpful. The game is beautiful and would be fun if it i could use it..Version: 1.2

✓ Sooooo long waits and slow.I have to say: design is awesome, like art, but games wise: NOPE. It’s like watching a super slow movie in which you can click on something once in a while. Nothing like machinarium. I mean, i was doing my french manicure between clicks... (no joke!) got bored very early in the game, played until the end (because i paid for it), was still bored and also irritated at the end. ✓ So annoyed!I wish there was a little explanation or a warning when selecting a 'save file'! I originally thought it to be a location jump thing, as in each place you go to, it adds it to a screen that you can open and close at will, with the option to add your own. Now, there is no explanation to what this is, and once you select it, there was no 'are you sure you want to do this' kind of thing. So I've finished the game, and I'm collecting stuff, but then I see this screen and kick myself, because I've been going from place to place, when I could have been transporting there instead, and to places that I chose to transport to, which would be helpful when I'm going back and forth working things out. It would make sense after all, since going from place to place is tedious in this game because it takes so long. But no, I select a location, and it replays what happened when you first entered that place. But it doesn't go back to what you were previously doing. You're literally now back at that stage, with all of your rewards that you achieved at that point. There's nothing that I had achieved further on in the game. In fact, I have to finish it again, then recollect what I had achieved after I finished it. So frustrating. I literally spent ages on it! I'm not saying the save thing needs fixing, not that I see the point when it saves automatically anyway, but there needs to be something that explains what it is! The game itself is great. ✓ Bug iPhone 6. Please fixThe insect scenes in the cave on the asteroid and the treehouse on the first planet have bugs. The antenna on the bugs cannot be plucked. Can't progress the game. Please refund or fix. Should I make contact through the Amanita website? Btw, I your games are brilliant! I'm a fan of adventure puzzlers, and Machinarium & Botanicula are absolute musts for fans of the genera. I'd love to add Samorost 3 to this list. I know I will once the bug is fixed. ✓ Great potential but...Ok, graphics are awesome and so are the sounds. If you get stuck, it is easy enough to find help online. I’ve solved dozens of these types of games but I don’t seem to be smart enough to figure out the drop down menu or the save screen. A few basic instructions would be nice. ✓ Exceptionally poor save routineA lovely game badly let down by its esoteric logos which do not prevent you or give any warning that you could lose all progress. Auto save should be mandatory with an explicit warning that pressing a certain button will restart the game from the beginning with all progress being wiped. I have been playing the game for many hours now and inadvertently erased my progress. I simply cannot be bothered with the stress of going through everything again. ✓ Glitch in game, no autosave of previous levels. Basically have to start over...forget it!I am so frustrated with this game right now. Like a previous reviewer, my game glitched in the underground cave where you add an ingredient to a pot to create a bomb. I did what was required...but no bomb. Black creatures just kept singing and singing. I exited game and went to 'saved worlds' screen to reenter and all icons were of the scene at the very beginning of the game - identical. Not sure what would happen, I clicked on the highest numbered one, hoping it would return me to my most recent location. Nope. Back to the very first world. EVERY saved world icon brought me back to the first world. I don't feel like going through all those puzzles again! I loved Botanicula and Machinarium. I would really like a refund for this game. ✓ Doesn’t work with Family sharingI purchased the collection and have family sharing on our Apple devices and thought these would be great for everyone. However, the app is somehow linked between all the devices so whatever one person has done automatically applies to all the other devices. So basically we are all playing the same game and are unable to discover things for ourselves. Total bummer since I spent $16 on all four games. ✓ Unimpressed.I expected more from a paid game. The graphics were good, but simple. There are only 7 words in total and each of them take about half an hour to solve. My real gripe is the puzzles - it's not very intuitive and you can easily be trying something you think might work, and be right, but you put the answers in the wrong order and so give up when really you should have kept trying for another ten minutes and hopefully have stumbled upon the right combo. ✓ Why does it get stuck?I read great reviews and would like to have the Sam experience. I’ve had to resort to walk through but can’t proceed from the first planet. I’m well above spec on ios11.
