Chinese Poker Offline - Pusoy for Negative User Reviews

Ridiculous handsThis game is just not fun anymore and very frustrating. I don’t know if it’s because I reached a trillion and the game is trying to get some money back, but this game is starting to cheat. In the beginning when I first started playing it was very fair. Win some lose some. But now I’m just losing constantly. I’m getting hands that are so ridiculous. Only two pairs to play with 5 consecutive hands? While the computer has full houses and automatics every other hand? Come on. That’s just terrible. I’ve even stop playing for a couple days thinking if I’m away for while it’ll give me some good cards. Nope. It’s just gotten worse. I’m not gonna delete the app because it took a while for me to reach a trillion, but if this continues I’m going to be forced just not to play and probably download another Pusoy game..Version: 1.47

RiggedThe game purposely give bad cards and the bots royal flush/ four of a kind.Version: 1.129

Good to learn, horrible roundsThere are good moments and bad moments to every gambling game. This, it's either or, but on the largest possible scale. I was playing and was able to win 30k in the first tier ($1000 buyin). Good. I proceeded to play in the second tier ($10k buyin). I went from 30k to instant -20k (an 80k loss). The randomization for this game is not random. They let you win some, and lose all. You win about 20~35% of the time. Every round, you will see 2 or even 3 hands with a full house. In one of my games, one of the AI received no face 4 complete times. All of them were when they were the dealer. It feels as if the game is set up to be against the player. For anyone who's starting, it's not a bad game to learn the game. For those who are experienced, get ready for the most frustrating game of Chinese poker in your life..Version: 1.30

5% lolThey are really now taking a 5% fee out of every hand you win. Lol.Version: 1.126

Not Statistically Possible!Update 1/6/20 - I was happy the developers read the reviews and respond to them. I would love to give this game the high rating it deserves because it’s unusual, different from other versions of poker, the graphics are good, and the gameplay is well paced. I really enjoy this version of 13-card poker better than all the others I’ve tried. Reviewers have the responsibility to explain their rating in order to help the developers improve the game. So, if other reviewers have similar experiences to mine, please let the developers know. They can’t fix it if we don’t let them know it’s broken. Here’s my experience. I noticed several times when I was the Dealer and the other players were computer-generated, that when I was dealt a Full House with aces over, the player in the third seat (counting clockwise from the Dealer) always got Four of a Kind and wiped me out. It happened too often to be statistically possible. My job is to query and report on corporate financial data; so I’m trained to notice anomalies and patterns. After the same pattern happened about 20 times, it seemed the cards weren’t being dealt randomly. If the code impacts what hands the players are dealt, it controls how much they win or lose. Since players don’t have to spend real money to play, the developers aren’t profiting from it; so maybe they don’t realize it’s happening. The developers don’t claim the game emulates real life by randomly dealing the cards. As far as I know, Apple doesn’t have a rule against the cards being manipulated by the programmers, but players assume they can win or lose based on their skill, so it feels unfair. If it happened in real life, we would call it cheating. Also, I found a couple of other issues that might interest the developers; like the amount in my “stash” is hidden on the screen where I have to place a bet so I don’t know how much money I have when betting. (I have a newer IPad Pro 10” at normal resolution.) Also, at the beginning of a game (I only play against the computer), the VO says “pick a seat,” which is a little confusing because the Player is always in the same seat. The Player is actually choosing which player will be the first Banker. It would be less confusing to say something like “pick the Banker.” I hope these comments are helpful and look forward to giving this game a much higher rating in the future. Update 7/22/19 - Since my last update (see below), it seems like there are fewer of the ads that cannot be closed so I increased my rating, but not as much as I would like to because I noticed another troubling issue. I’ve played this style of “Chinese” Poker for many years and I’m confident about setting my hands correctly. Of course anyone can make an occasional mistake; however, after I lost due to mis-set hands several times when I was sure they were correct, I began checking every hand very carefully. I’ve had several more supposedly “mis-set” hands, but I’m convinced they were set correctly. Has anyone else had this experience? I’m happy to increase my rating if no one else has noticed it and I’m wrong. Update 4/1/19 - I stand by my opinion, but I’m glad the developer responded and is taking it seriously. I will give the app a much higher rating if the problem is resolved. Below is my original review: I can tolerate ads; it’s a trade-off so that a vendor can offer free games. Searching for tiny well-hidden ways to close the ad such as an “X” (exit) button is annoying, but acceptable, within limits. Ads that do not have any way to close them and force you to go to their web site, are unacceptable and invasive. It’s unfair to players and reflects badly on the developers. No game is good enough to justify such an intrusion. We should discourage it by never buying anything from an overly invasive ad..Version: 1.85
