✓ Ah, nostalgia!There's something about this that takes me back to the old days of Legend of Zelda, and the 8 & 16bit days of yesteryear. When games were fun and innocent, with simple stories, but puzzles and exploration that took you time and some thought to figure out. I love this! The controls are great, solid and responsive, unlike so many other touchscreen platform games I've played. The graphics and sounds are cute and charming, and the gameplay is not 2 dimensional but rather, some definite thought has gone into this. I wish there were more games like this on the AppStore, games like Nintendo make. You know . . . . games that make you happy. ☺️.Version: 1.00

✓ So much frustrating fun !!First off I know that frustrating isn't what most people want from there games , but this little platform game is so charming , intriguing & most of all fun that it's not a bad thing at all. The puzzles are at times so hard they seem impossible but it's just about trying to think In a different way or finding that little clue to how to solve it. This game will grip you not obsessively but you will find yourself at random times thinking & solving the puzzles I your head & suddenly you can't wait to get 5 minutes to quickly go & advance further. Overall this game has great humour , slick retro style graphics & enough thought put into it you'll forget it's only a Pocket player game , great fun !.Version: 1.01
✓ Fetching little puzzle platformerThis was a lot of fun. It's a cutesy little platformer in which you guide your characters back and forth around a series of stages, collecting items and then using them elsewhere to solve puzzles. Anyone who played the old Dizzy games by Codemasters will find the setup quite familiar. Great fun, more demanding than simple "fetch quests" and doesn't hold your hand with tutorials. It's not very long, but easily worth the asking price. Short but sweet..Version: 1.00

The items used usually make sense although the game could really use a bit of clarity near the beginning that each characters quest is basically self contained. ✓ Better than expectedAt first I was reluctant to buy the game but I was drawn to the graphics because of the similar super Mario world art direction. But What i really like about the game is the hunt for items which Require a little bit of strategy but all together its fun, not too long and enjoyable..Version: 1.02
✓ Super funAmazing game! Donut Games has a huge variety of games, and I really liked the path they took starting with Traps n' Gemstones. This is like a RPG but at the same time, it isn't. You can explore any level at any time, but you'll find yourself going back and forth nonstop until you find the right item. There are a few frustrating areas, and they don't make it clear that collectibles aren't transferred over between characters - almost all of the game until the end is three separate adventures, one for each character. I also found myself finishing the game too early and the ending was a little bit anticlimactic. However, it's not enough to take away any stars, it's really rewarding to solve a puzzle or get past a tricky area! Bosses aren't plentiful, but the 2-3 that do exist are lots of fun. While I wouldn't say that this tops Traps 'n Gemstones, I do highly recommend this game if you liked that one. Very unique! Make more like this!.Version: 1.01

✓ Slightly new take on old mario gamesIf you're tired of "one touch controls" games, this is for you. This game reminds me of playing as Luigi in old Mario games with slightly slippery physics (I personally like that). Apart from older Mario Platformers, the game starts with 7 open levels to explore with no flags poles at the end. You simply explore each one, find secrets and power ups, and find another level to use said power up just right. Warning: the game has a high difficulty if you're up for the challenge..Version: 1.00
✓ Great Adventure PlatformerThis game is great! It's probably a little different that what you imagine though. It has that classic Mario platforming feel, however the game isn't about finishing levels and going on to the next one. The map is completely open from the outset. Each "level" is a short yet unique area to explore. There are three people you can play and each one has his/her own levels to visit. You pick a few items and then you have to figure out how to use them. Talking to people and interacting with objects reveals how to use said items. As I'm writing this, I'm realizing that it sounds like plat-forming meets point and click adventure, except without the actual pointing and clicking. Just try it. It's really great. Very unique. It'll take a good 30 minutes to really appreciate it though. Good work dev-team!.Version: 1.00

✓ A Delightful Metroidvania Trade 'Em UpA great game. Cute graphics, difficult but fair puzzles, and decent length (about 2-4 hours). A bit challenging for casuals but perfect for those who love meteoidvanias/trading items to get other items..Version: 1.01

✓ Great Game! 😃I got this game the day after it came out and was almost immediately drawn straight in and addicted to it's amazing gameplay. It took me a while to get the hang of it but once I did I just couldn't stop playing. At first I was really frustrated with the controls, how low the maximum health was and that you only respawn with half health, the way of finding items in various levels to finish another one, and having to doing the levels all in different order instead of starting with level 1 and then level 2 and so on. But after a while I began to enjoy the way these features made the game more challenging and adventurous. But like all good things it does have it's faults. Probably the main one in my head is the ending. At first I was really excited as I finally got on the hot air balloon, but then my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. At the end you fly off, and then that's it! End game. Just plain annoying and boring. My recommendation to Donut Games is that they continue the storyline: Basically, when they fly off in the hot air balloon, they decide to go to *insert-place-here* (maybe they go visit the Seven Wonders of the World) and then you unlock a new world/page of levels, in a whole new different location/country with a whole new goal, but even so you can still access the original levels even after you have unlocked the new ones. But don't stop at just one new location! Keep adding more and more levels every now and then so that the game never gets old. That would be the final feature necessary to establish this game as one of the best I have ever played in this style on iOS. All in all, this game is absolutely amazing, but could do with more levels..Version: 1.01

✓ Good, but...This is a good game, marred occasionally by pointlessly cruel level design. I'm not referring to the regular level difficulty, which is enjoyable. Even the "invisible" death-traps (platforms that look perfectly normal but collapse when you step on them) would be fine - tiresome, but fine. The problem is that often, good play cannot save you from them. If you jump on a new platform that turns out to collapse under you, and quickly jump back to safety, well... tough. The collapsing platform was necessary to proceed, and will never come back, so you'll need to jump into the pit and die so you can start the level over. The levels are short, but when there are several of these situations in close proximity, it becomes a tedious exercise of trial and error rather than a fun challenge. All that said, the game is mostly quite fun until you hit one of these patches, and it resumes being fun after them..Version: 1.01
