How This App's Notifications Became the New Windows 95 Pop-Up AdsUgh, seriously, that red dot on my Home Screen is the worst. This app bombards you with tips, and when they show up, good luck trying to locate the one causing that annoying red dot. It's like dealing with those pesky pop-up ads from the Windows 95 era but in a modern-day app. So aggravating!.Version: 0.9.214

Good tracker but…It’s a good app to track your child’s routine, but with a recent update they added this “tip” pop up to the tracking list/home page. It pops up at the top of the tracking list and takes the place of my most used tracking topic, shifting all topics down on the screen. This is incredibly inconvenient. Because the first listed topic is my most tracked aspect, I click on it first thing upon opening the app to quickly track what I need. However, because the “tip” pops up in that spot, I accidentally click the tip. This loads whatever random topic is advertised in the “tip” at that moment— which is never a topic I actually track. This adds unnecessary extra time to this task. Tracking used to take me seconds and now takes me minutes when I accidentally select the “tip” because I have to wait for the “tip” topic page to load so that I can go back to the home page to select the topic I actually want to track. I have left feedback and opened support requests on this topic several times to no avail, so I am asking here. PLEASE GET RID OF THE TIP POP UP. It is the opposite of helpful..Version: 0.9.194

Just doesn’t understand my babyMy baby sleeps for 35 minutes after two hours of being awake. I know this as I’ve tracked him and that’s clearly what his patten is. Unfortunately the huckleberry app is always telling me to put him to nap about an hour and a half of being awake. I could understand for the first few weeks but my baby has been like this for 6 weeks now. Also the tracking is ok, but there are a whole lot of small design decisions that can the make the app frustrating to use. Seeing accumulated data such as totally time slept of total feeding amount is a faff to get to in the app. Also the way the app logs times it very easy for you to accidentally input a time in the future and the app reject that and requires far too much scrolling if you are trying to log things if you have a baby in your arms. One major pro is that my husband and I can be logged untjj on the same account on both our phones so the data syncs automatically. This is great. I’ll stick with it for now but that’s because I’ve got a lot of data on there. Tldr: hard to input and see data, guesses my baby’s nap wrong but allows me to share tracking duty with my husband easily..Version: 0.9.120

Good at firstMy husband and I used this religiously for 10 months and loved it. However, it randomly stopped working one day, we lost all of our data and everything. Very disappointing..Version: 0.9.210

Wish I hadn’t paid for premiumI’ve amended my review based on the developers response however I’m still wishing I hadn’t paid for the premium version of this product. I’ve received our personalised sleep plan and whilst it’s quite comprehensive in terms of the amount of information, it does all seem fairly generic guidance and it feels a bit like certain sections have been added depending on the issues noted (eg reflux, teething) with the child’s name changed and with quite general information. I would say it’s tailored rather than personalised as there’s no specific commentary on my child’s sleep or why the schedule has been recommended. It also says to follow wake windows rather than the schedule at her age (5 months). If I’d known this I probably wouldn’t have paid. We’re only on day three of implementing the plan and so far daytime sleep has been a lot worse but I’ve reached out to Huckleberry so will see what they say..Version: 0.9.160

Constantly losing data and glitchingI used to love this app. We used it with my older son. However, since my current child was born four months ago it’s been nothing but crashes and glitches. And customer support gets back to you DAYS after you report an issue. Unfortunately I have had enough and will go elsewhere..Version: 0.9.211

Even more disappointedI uninstalled the app to see if that would fix the previous issue’s and after reinstalling I now can’t sign in at all. Going to delete, I wouldn’t bother downloading this app just look into other options..Version: 0.9.210

Bad updateEver since the update 2 days ago it keeps making me sign back in every time I open the app and sometimes won’t sign me in at all. Other than that this is an AMAZING help for sleep..Version: 0.9.210

Piece of crapUsed for 5 days and now when I try to log in, it goes to the sign in page. Lost all my data that I really need. AVOID THIS APP IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR NEWBORN!!!.Version: 0.9.210

Liked it until it logged me outI like this app but it logged me out 4 times today and won’t let me back in. Really frustrating.Version: 0.9.210

Waste of timeDo not download this app. Although it may be good. You must and have to subscribe to the premium version. I’m letting everyone know. They will waste about 35 minutes of your time getting info about your baby. Just to reach to the end and be told you need to subscribe before getting results. Instead of putting that at the beginning of the questionnaire. They know what their doing..Version: 0.9.120

BUGGYFor the price you pay i’d expect pressing the timer button on the widget to be smooth and not lag. Not only that I’ve had the widget display the incorrect time last fed and slept twice now. These things have always bothered me but now what’s worse is the app won’t even open! It’s been like 30 mins and I am unable to stop baby’s sleep timer or start his feed timer (I’ve tried opening from the app and widget). I was using a free baby app before this that was a lot faster with a simpler design that I enjoyed. I switched over because Huckleberry differentiates day from night sleep but I really don’t think that alone has been worth the money..Version: 0.9.211

GlitchyGlitchy, freezes up and doesn’t track your feeds/pumps well, just had a bunch of information disappear so best not to rely on this app to help you track your baby..Version: 0.9.213

Disappointed with new changesAfter using the App for over a year now and absolutely loving it, I was so disappointed to see that Huckleberry are now charging customers for the ‘sweet spot’ function which is the main draw card to using the app over other baby tracking apps. It would have been nice for huckleberry to grandfather in existing customers so that they aren’t losing out on preexisting functions. Sadly I don’t think we will continue our use of this app without this functionality as the expectation to pay over $20 per month for something that was once free is simply ridiculous. I might have understood a small fee increase but to jump so exorbitantly is just being money hungry and taking advantage of parents and isn’t a company I want to be involved with..Version: 0.9.140

App is now making me sign in each time and freezingI loved this app when I first downloaded and was using it for all my baby’s feedings. Now all of a sudden it keeps asking me to sign on each time I open the app, then it “downloads settings” and freezes and takes me back to the first screen where it gives me a tour of the app. At this point the app is useless sadly. Can someone help?.Version: 0.9.210

If you’re a bed-sharer don’t waste your moneyThis is definitely one of the better apps for general tracking of your baby’s life — feeding, diapers, pumps, sleep etc. The reports are nice and the interface is fairly easy. Huckleberry is designed as an app to improve baby sleep. It’s SweetSpot nap predictor is fairly accurate, and it definitely helps me recognize when my baby’s wake window is ending. I like the theory behind the app—you can submit your logs for analysis and a “sleep expert” will analyze them and provide tips. But the execution isn’t anything special. All of the information Huckleberry provides I can find in a Google search (in fact, I did already find it and was already trying those practices). Huckleberry is also focused on independent sleep. I’m sure that’s because society is focused on independent sleep, but it doesn’t jive with me. We are a social species. It’s actually not natural to sleep independently — especially as an infant. There’s a very specific biological reason that young babies want to contact nap. But let’s be real, how many of us actually enjoy sleeping alone even as adults? Huckleberry seems more concerned about convincing me to have my child sleep alone in a crib than helping me nurture actual good sleep for my baby. So for me, it’s a three stars. If you’re a parent who chooses to put their child alone in a crib all the time, this app will work for you. It doesn’t work for those of us who believe in responsible bedsharing.Version: 0.9.198

Not signing me inThis app was great but all of a sudden it’s signed me out and making it impossible to sign me back in. Even after successfully signing back in it logged me out 20 minutes later. This is so frustrating considering I literally pay for this app. Guess I’m not spending anymore on it. Such a shame..Version: 0.9.210

Needs improvementApp doesn’t update information frequently and notifications pop up at the most inappropriate times.Version: 0.9.212

There is potential for this to be greatI paid for a subscription and then upgraded to a premium subscription and conscientiously tracked my data for a week. I was hoping to get some actual assistance for my ‘Premium Subscription’ since I’d paid for both levels of service from their app but the Huckleberry did not actually enable me to use any of the Premium services. I emailed three separate times, showing bank deductions from my account for their services, screenshots from the app showing I was not actually able to use this app and screenshots from settings in Apple ID showing that I am meant to have a premium subscription. Every email reply I received from Huckleberry simply shifted the blame to Apple for why I can’t use their Premium service. Meanwhile my baby doesn’t sleep and I’m still tracking and still waiting for Huckleberry to actually give me the service I paid for..Version: 0.9.185

Can’t sign in anymoreAfter update can’t sign in anymore.Version: 0.9.210

Stopped workingI’ve been using this app for my son since he was born, 3months old now and the app logs me out after every time. Half the time it won’t let me log back in, the screen just shows “downloading settings” then nothing. Very disappointing..Version: 0.9.210

Such a shame money got the better of them.I used to love this app, as a first time mum having everything tracked was amazing. Like many new mums in covid the forced lack of support from others was extremely hard for me. In turn I suffered from PND. This app gave me piece of mind that I could follow the sweet spot settings & if I went off schedule it wasn’t an issue. I went back to work in April as a nanny & it’s been so helpful to track my little girl & the two little ones I look after. Both for my sake, my fiancé’s & the parents I work for. My fiancé is a doctor at our local hospital so is very busy, as am I with 3 children so when he comes to get Penelope there’s not much time to tell him about her day. We both relied upon the app, maybe more then we should have but regardless to that you trust things won’t be taken away from you. I’m deeply disappointed that an app I raved about to all of my friends has become so greedy. It’s one thing to charge for premium settings but to allow people to have these settings & then give a couple of months warning before taking it away. (if you check your emails). Nearly £10 a month for the setting is just greedy. So many parents rely on this & will end up sucked in to the scam. I’ve lost all trust in this app & having used it religiously for 9 months, I’ve now stopped. Who knows what they’ll charge for next. I would strongly suggest not downloading this app..Version: 0.9.141

Use to be a good app. Now uselessThis app had saved me before with the sleeping sweet spot cues. However without warning they have now started charging. I didn’t receive any notification that this was going to occur so I feel it’s very bad communication on the companies part. They are fully aware that people use this for the sweet spot and not to give prior warning is poor. The cost of £8.99 a month is very expensive. There are other free apps out there that do the same as this now. So this is nothing special anymore. This app has now been deleted and won’t be used again. I understand they need to earn money but most people wanting this are on mat leave and can’t afford it. EDIT to Devs To add to this as I can’t respond directly. I have received no emails. Not in my junk or anywhere else in my inbox. So please do not assume I have not read my emails! Poor service..Version: 0.9.143

Data Spontaneously GoneBeen using this app for 6 weeks and then the login just kicked me out. Did the forget password function and when logged in its all gone. Absolutely frustrating that this happened. Better to keep a notepad with information instead!.Version: 0.9.210

Keeps crashing after 9 months of usagesLoved this app but it’s been crashing and bringing back to the sign in page. I’ll put in my info and a pop up will come with “downloading settings” and then it’ll go back to sign in. What’s going on??.Version: 0.9.210

My ExperianceWhen I had my son I found huckleberry a life saver I really did it’s a fab way to track naps, amount of daily sleep, feeds, total food taken, poos etc which was a life saver our son had constipation so using this was so handy to relay information to HV. It’s also pretty accurate at tracking when their next nap is going to be however the reason for the 3 stars is because I did find huckleberry didn’t really roll with the progression especially around his sleep regression it was telling me to nap him when he wasn’t ready and then he was having shorter naps etc I also am probably to blame myself I became almost too reliant on huckleberry rather than my motherly instinct, I found sometimes huckleberry works against that instinct and I found myself getting stressed but in them early days it really was a life saver but I think there’s a point you outgrow it and the use for it.Version: 0.9.140

Great App but SO slowThis is a really excellent app in terms of functionality, data tracking & the user interface design. I love that it lets you pick metric or imperial measurements at each entry so you can do what is most convenient in the moment rather than having to switch in settings or something. The timers occasionally bomb out - forgetting when they were started/that they were started and leaving you trying to remember times but that’s not the end of the world - it’s maybe 1/50 times you use the app. My biggest (and it is a big one) complaint is how unbelievably slow the app is. I do everything - close all other apps on my phone, restart my phone often, try to practice patience… but the response time on the buttons is ridiculous. Sometimes a full second or two after tapping on something for it to actually do/switch/open that. I know, one second doesn’t sound like a lot but when you consider how fast we move on our phones, it really is. The lag is very very frustrating - especially when you’re trying to log things quickly with a squirmy newborn in your arms! Definitely would love for them to find a solution to this - it would make it the perfect app and we would probably pay for the premium too!.Version: 0.9.185

Broken appWe can’t log in anymore on the app, and it’s so slow and clunky. Love the features, but I feel like there’s a new bug every day. Instead of cramming more stuff into the app, they really should fix the bugs..Version: 0.9.210

App is not saving every entryI’ve been using this app since the day my baby was born and it has been really convenient because I like to track how long he nursed on each breast, when he ate and how much, and I can keep track of diaper changes etc. I LOVE that the app tells you how long it’s been since the feeding or diaper change etc based off of the last entry in the app. HOWEVER, now when I make a new entry (I know for a fact that I save it..especially because I’ve been making a mental note to make sure that I am, and I can physically see that is IS indeed saved) but I’ll look at the app at a later time and it says my baby was last fed 8 hours ago (for example) but I know I’ve entered a few feedings within the app since that 8 hour mark. The app is not saving all of my entries (it saves most..and even SAYS it saves them but later when I go to check..they've disappeared) - this is frustrating because I rely on this for peace of mind when I know it’s been around 2-3 hours and it’s coming close to the time for me to wake my baby and feed him..but I look in the app and the “time sense last feed” is not accurate. I also use this to let our pediatrician know how many diaper changes etc he has. The app itself is very convenient and I love it..Just the past few days it has not been saving every entry. Maybe it’s a bug but hoping it’s resolved soon.Version: 0.9.165

Love it at first but…So far I like it because it help keep track with timing and for a mother who still has prego brain you can’t remember everything. But recently I notice I would document the feeding time and it doesn’t save or go through unless I close the app and refresh multiple of time which can be annoying. So hopefully someone can fix the problem soon! Other than that I would’ve given 5 star. Update: used to like this app but not anymore. App is still not working properly. It’s been already two month and no improvement. At first I thought it could be my old phone since I had lack of storage space so I couldn’t do any updates but now with a new phone it still doesn’t work well so I know it’s the app itself. Every time I try to log in my breast feeding time, the start time would reset which is quite bothersome because then I forget when I started because I was relying on the app. So now I don’t even bother using that feature. Also every input I do I have to double check bc it occasionally would not log in depending it’s mood 😒 I still have to close the app and open the app multiple time for it to “work”… so they need to fix this or else it’s a waste of money. Probably better off trying another app..Version: 0.9.207

GlitchyI love the concept of the app. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and it was reliable at first, but now there are lots of annoying errors in the display and accuracy of the data. Example: when I hit the option to see the weekly data graphed, it automatically opens up to previous months where there isn’t any data, or even to the year prior, requiring me to have to scroll right for however long until the current data appears. Another example: Typically when you select an option from the list (feeding, solids, pumping session, etc), it shows you how long it’s been since the last session. Since yesterday, when I select the feeding option to nurse, the time since the last session is completely off. I’ve tried closing the app and reopening, but it still happened. A session I finished 10 minutes ago would say 25 minutes or 47 minutes or something weirdly inaccurate. Overall, the app is helpful, but these issues docked a couple stars because though minor, they are incredibly frustrating when you’re using the app around the clock. Update: the app randomly will remove all of my nursing sessions and I have to reset the filter (toggle the feeding option on and off) to get them back to being visible. Just seems like this app is very glitchy..Version: 0.9.173

Bugged out can’t sign inConstantly logging me out and won’t let me back in without deleting app and redownloading.Version: 0.9.210

Cookie cutter advice with an American POVFirstly I will say that the free features are great, tracking naps and feeding has helped me to see out babies natural routine and has helped somewhat with naps. Useful for type A parents or babies that sleep and eat erratically or to monitor medications taken if baby needs them. However the premium just isn’t worth it in my opinion, it took 14 days for our ‘comprehensive sleep plan’ to come through and it seems to be fairly standard advice that is available on all mum and dad blogs about sleep. There was nothing in there that indicated that anyone had looked at all the data I had logged and no mention of problems I had highlighted in the notes and are clear from our data (chronic short naps, upset at nap times etc). The advice is also overwhelmingly aimed at Americans, as most things seem to be these days. It mentions liaising with my babies paediatrician, talks about recommendations from the American association of paediatricians and expressly condemns bed sharing. None of which are relevant to me, as a non- American. I think the App should recognise when you’re from another part of the world and remove these points, as they aren’t useful. I won’t be continuing with my subscription to the premium service but will continue to use the free features..Version: 0.9.129

App itself is good, minor glitchesI’ve had the app for about three weeks now and I was really loving it ! The amount of features you get without subscribing to the paid version is amazing. Only issue I’ve had is that the app has started kicking me out periodically and won’t let me sign back in. Not sure what the issue was but I’ll have to try downloading it again later.Version: 0.9.210

Unreliable and sweet spot is mehAll of my data disappeared. I’m glad I was using other apps before and it happened only a week after I started exclusively using huckleberry so I didn’t loose too much information. But this is incredibly unreliable. Also sweet spot seems to just calculate 1h30-2hours after last wake up nothing much else. I can do that myself….Version: 0.9.211

Extremely slow on iPhone 14App is extremely slow on my iPhone 14 and usually takes 2 to 5 seconds to go between each page - this is very frustrating as you just want to quickly log the events while looking after the baby..Version: 0.9.204

Not sure it’s worth the priceCons: User function not the best. For example, the free text field when logging a category such as sleep is atrocious! There is some type of weird overriding predictive text or your words are auto-deleted as you’re typing. You should also have the option to easily add how many times and what time your child woke up during the sleep. There are not enough activities, or the ability to add a custom option. For example, baby accompanied caregiver on errands, went to a restaurant, relaxing in cot/playroom. There should be a temperament category to specifically record when your child is, for example, relaxed, very active, cranky, exhausted, etc. Paying for the plus version, I’m not sure it’s worth the price. That being said, the sweet spot is quite spot on to our normal wake-sleep cycles, and did factor in when Bub had short naps and thus needed an earlier bed time..Version: 0.9.165

Needs Apple Watch app and widgetsI started off using huckleberry primarily just for sleep tracking and the sweetspot feature which I love, it has taken the guess work out of wake windows and naps for me! I was using a different app to track everything else (feedings, diapers, bath, growth, meds etc) mostly bc I was using it before I downloaded huckleberry and so I just kept using it, but have recently switched to tracking everything all in huckleberry as I will be going back to work and I figured it’s just easier for my nanny to track everything in one app instead of two. Here’s where huckleberry loses stars for me: there’s no Apple Watch app or widget!!! With the other tracking app, there was both so it was really easy to log things quickly on the watch or if I just needed to see real quick how long it’s been since my baby’s last feeding, i had a widget set up on my Home Screen. I feel like these are major downsides for an app used by parents and especially an app used by parents of babies! Hoping these features come soon because i do like the app otherwise..Version: 0.9.183

Charging $150 for sweet spotThis used to be a great app, I used to recommend it to every expectant/new parent I’d meet and mommy groups I was in. I’ve used it for almost 2 years and was planning on using it for baby coming in Dec. the sweet spot indicator was free and that’s what made this app stand out from all the rest, and if you were struggling to get baby to sleep, they have dxx dob m the option to pay for a personalized plan which is great if you need it. The sweet spot took the guess work out of nap/bed time (wasn’t always correct but still close enough that I’d be able to read my baby and see if he needed to go down earlier or slightly later than what it was recommending). Now after almost 2 years of use they decided to start charging parents for the sweet spot indicator..$150 a year! Are they nuts? Oh but wait if you purchase it now, you can get it half off for $75 🙄 if it was $10 maybe I’d consider it. But I can literally just go online and figure out what baby’s wake window is based on age and then just calculate it myself, or I can also just read my baby’s cues for crying out loud. It really isn’t that hard to figure out, not enough at least to pay $150. I understand it costs money to make an app and keep it up but by offering the sweet spot for free, at least more parents went on it and many were probably willing to pay for the personalized plan. Now, I won’t be recommending it to anyone unless they make it free again because it’s literally no different than any other free sleep tracking app, except with other apps you won’t be constantly hassled to pay for their services!.Version: 0.9.140

Great app but super laggyEverything about this app is awesome and I’ve found it so helpful except it is incredibly laggy. Can take up to 5 seconds if not more sometimes to go between each page. Super frustrating feels like I’m using dial up and I’m back in 2004..Version: 0.9.197

Wake Time InconsistentKeeps updating bedtime during the wake window when previous sleeps haven’t changed. Very frustrating especially given the price for that feature on the app..Version: 0.9.186
