✓ A shadow of the game it used to beI took a long break from the game and used to be reasonably good but i don't claim to be amazing. But now i'm struggling to keep a positive K/D in games because i'm being matched with people who have far better guns than me and skill and map knowledge i still have are just no match for them. I also think the addition of the classes system was a big set back for the game i remember when you brought all 4 of your best guns into battle and now i feel like i've been forced to choose my best 2 and forget about the rest because i now need to buy and level up an entirely new armour set for a second class with my other guns. Also it makes no sense that you can't have the same gun in more than one loadout its ridiculous you're being forced to not only get a great gun, which is its own challenge, but also to have 2 or 3 great guns for each gun type to make up all your loadouts. I've also noticed in the few days i've been playing after my long break that my connection to servers is much poorer than before despite having a better wifi router than when i last played so i can only assume its an issue with which servers i'm being put onto. Had feedback from the developers that basically was “Get Good”. So no indication of better matchups with people closer to your skill level or range of gear. So yeah. However, there is 1 big disgusting factor of the game. The p2w side is what RUINS the game completely. As a starter u might not realize it, but as u progress into the game, u will. Me and my friend used to play a lot and I am not from a very wealthy family. He gets money a lot and wastes it on games A LOT like 24/7. Let’s talk about the actual GUNS. They’re in the title so they must be important. In my opinion they’re totally imbalanced though. The game favours the shotgun waaaaay to much in my opinion. A lot of maps are designed with plenty of obstacles in the way which hinder guns like the machine gun or assault gun, few are that open to accommodate the rifle and all are to small to maximise the one thing that all the guns have over the shotgun which is range. The shotgun has enough power to take out an enemy in 2/3 shots, if someone doesn’t see you coming they’ll but lucky to hit you at all and if you are using one of the other weapons and locked in you can never do the amount of damage to them that they can do to you even if there is a distance gap. My frustration has won out with this game because of the shotgun alone. I have reached a high level, I have spent cash but now I constantly think about deleting it..U01ija4Version: 2.7.2

✓ Leaving this game until they make changesMy recommendations to fix the game involves a complete overhaul that will probably never happen, but constructive criticism is a good thing, so here are my recommendations to fix the game: Make all weapons free, only unlocked once you've reached the necessary level. No more weapon upgrades. Balance the weapons more so they aren't rendered completely useless upon leveling up. Variety is good in a game. Give players incentive to continue using certain weapons despite what level they are. Make armor upgrades free, unlocked once you've reached the necessary level. This change doesn't render armor useless because certain items have an effect on armor. Gunbucks and gold will only be used to purchase cosmetics, grenades and health packs. If the above changes were made to this game, it would boost it's popularity greatly while also increasing the game's longevity. For players that have already spent real money on the game, give them Gunbucks and gold that they can spend on cosmetics, and offer refunds to those requesting. Chances are a lot of the people who put money into the game probably don't even play anymore, so the payout wouldn't be that much. In the end, it's a small price to pay for the huge profits you can get from this game moving forward. Another option is to double the speed at leveling up upon the purchase of the game at $5. The game is fun but can be so frustrating due the the unbalanced matchmaking, pay to win guns, currently the cuda is ridiculously over powered and needs a nerf. Getting outgunned by someone who pays £200+ per weapon is not fair, I can out play the opponent through movement and smarts for the ptw player to BS kill me either through the weapon they paid for or Latency. I’m sure there are aimbot hacks and wall hacks being used which seem like the devs don’t do anything about, or at least don’t communicate with the community regarding this. This game also penalises the player for grinding the game by its poor matchmaking which support say is very complex! Latency issues, support blame the users instead of investing in the servers. ✓ Only enjoyable if you're willing to pay a LOT.The gameplay and design is good only it's definitely gone downhill in playability. What started as a great game for all has quickly become way too capitalised. There are events frequently but every time you are offered only a couple of challenges or forced to pay a gold subscription to get a 'contract' which gives you like 7 more. This contact would equate to about £5 worth of gold. The seasons offers 14 rewards for the average player or that plus an extra 49 if you're willing to again pay another fee of £10 worth of gold. On top of this you have a battle coin system which is very slow to grind unless willing to pay for VERY overpriced battle coins. There's no way you will get high up on the leaderboard or come first at all regularly unless you're buying the best guns and deals which again cost gold rather than 'gunbucks' a significantly easier currency to farm that is rendered pretty useless not long after you start out. I loved this game and was willing to buy an IAP every now and again before but nowadays it is an absolute requirement if you want to get anywhere and it's far from cheap so the game is just no longer enjoyable. ✓ No even worth a one star nowI like the concept of adding categories for each class that’s cool I don’t mind that. Even the perks are a nice touch to the game. What I don’t like and I strongly disagree is that you now have to spend more time/money on something to fill in the gap for what you already have been playing with. For example, I only use the Assault riffle and the sniper right, so the class for sniper is cool with the perks included, but it is telling me that I can’t use the Panther pants and my Kevlar (shell) vest. Making me “buy another pair of each segment,” when I have already spent my hard earned gold/time into investing into the Panther pants and Kevlar (shell) vest. So I COMPLETELY don’t find a reason at all investing into the other “new” thing for something I do not want. Bro look at what you guys did, I like this game and I invested hours into this, but this is over the line with what things can be in your class and things that can’t be. ✓ It’s like a really long free trialGuns of Boom is a lot of fun at first. However, once you get to level 34, the fun goes away, and it just becomes a pit of misery (dilly dilly). If you don’t drop $20 or more on this game, it becomes very hard to be competitive in matches and extremely difficult to gain GunBucks or gold. Doing well in matches and completing quests to gain rewards has become a challenge and not a fun one with my hard-earned-and-not-paid-for weapons. There should be a separation of those Pay-to-Play players from those non-spenders who just watch Ads like I do to scrounge up what little currency is offered. I understand that the battles are apparently evenly matched, but whether or not I have an evenly matched “strong weapon” guy on my team, I flat out don’t like battling against that top tier guy on the opposing side. ✓ It was a fun game while it lasted!I’ve been playing this game for about 3 years now and this game was so fantastic and unique up until recently. Every update, they try to copy COD or other games. The very last update a few days ago changed the entire gameplay. It terrible now. Money that ive spent was money that was wasted as they took away perks, armor, weapons strength and took and legs armor to force you to buy again (with real cash) cause they are now so money hungry its almost unbelievable. ✓ The OG version of the game was way better.This game has grown so much. I remember playing it in like 2018. And I was hooked. I installed the game again just to see it being called gods of boom? It was guns of boom. The loadout thing is dumb. The OG version didn’t have any load outs. I remember correctly that you change in between all of your weapons without using a loadout. Also why are there no instantaneous rewards for brawls? Or even pro play? Sure there’s event challenges to work towards but they still take lots of time to achieve. Overall make guns cheaper and more balanced and give instant rewards for every game of brawl. Also for the payload mode i think it would be better if there were 2 rounds where each team has a chance to move Payload, whichever team gets the furthest wins. ✓ UnplayableGreat game that I still enjoy playing, though with my poor data speeds and no Porcupine or other top level guns I’ve lost over 4 thousand trophies in just over a month! I can shoot some guy with my fully upgraded traitor like 5 or six times he then turns and knocks me dead with one or two shots from a less powerful gun even of the same type. I can completely empty a fully upgraded Lifestealer and my target doesn’t die. Same with my fully upgraded Jackfrost yet I’m killed easy by a lower spec one. My jacket etc is also fully upgraded so that’s not the reason why. I don’t understand how so many people who have only played a couple of days have every single top level gun like Porcupine, Juggernaut etc without using a hack? You’ve had a head to head battle with someone and just manage to beat them and next thing they’re popping back to life with a stupid mask or armour or something. While it’s super fun to play you grind so hard for nothing and only to get outclassed by either pros or lower grade guns you moved away from its very annoying. ✓ Was great I until the league system ruined itI’ve been playing this game for about 2 months now and at the start up until now it was really fun and in almost all games I was competitive and helped my team, we didn’t always get the win but the games were rarely lopsided and it was uncommon win or lose by a large margin, until they introduced new matchmaking and leagues. Since they have implemented the new matchmaking formula, I have found I’m constantly going up against players who are way more equipped and have a much higher level than me. The fun and competitiveness have been completely lost for me as most games now are either won or lost by massive blowout margins, and if it is a win I have had little to no impact in achieving the result, because the team I’ve be match made with are all a much higher level with better gear and get all the eliminations and points on there own. I have a quick internet connection but for some reason, multiple times throughout every game my connection warning flashes and boom. I’m dead, half the time I’ll be dead and won’t know it. I’m sure that this problem occurring occasionally wouldn’t be rare but this happens every single game every single time. I had a healthy KD around 1.5 and enjoyed every second of the game. The biggest complaint I had at the beginning stages was being put it rooms with players that were 3 to 5 levels higher than me. It was pretty apparent who the higher level players in a room were when you noticed you always lost a gunfight to the same player. However, that was only the beginning. Now that I’m nearing LVL 20, every match is totally over run with “pay to play/win” losers that have exorbitant weaponry capable of one-shotting my character even when at full health and armor. I understand this a free to play game and the dev depends on in game purchases, I just wish I could opt out of playing with people who have made in game purchases so I could enjoy the game and not become target practice for those being rewarded for handing the devs cash. Scroll forward 4 months n the problem still exists so how long does it take to sort issues out ? Bearing in mind the prices you’re charging for Gold n Cash to improve your strength in Game it makes it very frustrating if you do spend to still find yourself in Games where you’re completely outmatched . ✓ Great, expensive, frustrating past level 39Let me say first that this is a very fun well laid out game that is very addictive. I never had any lag issues on my iPad Pro. The game starts off pretty balanced with everyone mostly using guns the game provides or are easily attainable grinding. After a couple hours of game play they open up guns that you can buy with real money (10 to20 bucks). I enjoyed the game so I bought one for 20 bucks. I used an assault rifle so don’t buy the BS people spew saying shotguns are the only way to go. What you don’t realize is you have to keep spending money to upgrade it as you progress. I think I spent 30 bucks on the Anaconda. As you hit level 34 or a day or so in game play they offer you the end game guns that cost 43 bucks each (you can have 4 different @ 43 bucks each). Once you hit level 39 you will need one and some players have all of them. When you do hit 39 really the only way to play competitively is to join a clan and use the app discord to talk to each other or get farmed by groups that do. ✓ More like Shotguns of BoomThe game is rigged in favour of shotguns so 80% of people I play against spam with shotguns. Shotguns are unfairly overpowered, their firerate is stupidly generous, they give you a speed boost so you can swerve and dodge the bullets at close range while at the same time you can scuttle away to safety like a cockroach when you’re outgunned. What’s most bizarre is that even despite their supposed low accuracy it doesn’t seem to be affecting your hits. I maxed out my rifle and while all weapon types give more or less equal nominal top damage there’s just no way to beat shotgun wielders because one body hit from a shotgun gives more than 5 times the hit to the head from a rifle with similar damage of around 2500 so on average you can kill someone with two shotgun hits but if you use a rifle you need to pummel at least 20 hits into someone and hope they all land in the upper body area for maximum damage and it takes only 2 seconds to fire a shotgun twice all the while you acrobatically hop around, while a rifle would take 5-10 seconds to discharge ~20 rounds and you need to stand steadfast to control the spraying. It’s a farce. And my rifle is supposedly good in close combat, too. Year, right!.AlesovVersion: 5.3.5

There’s a couple things that stand out as immediately noticeable issues: 1. The “freemium” gear. I’m usually not one to complain about this, because I realise the developers are doing all of us a solid by releasing the game for free, and they do deserve to be paid for their work.. But certain Freemium items just provide too much of an advantage, and so the only way one can even come close to getting decent ranking is to spend A LOT of money. This should be better balanced. (I, personally, wouldn’t mind if you changed it to make the “freemium” equipment available to everyone, and instead charge a couple dollars to purchase the app in the first place.) 2. The game isn’t compatible with MFI controllers. ✓ Becomes unplayableI previously wrote a review and gave 2 stars. I have since downgraded them to 1 star. Now, the game is excellent, great gameplay. Fun maps and the combat is amazing. But the problem is, is that this game is 100% pay to win. I have seen the developers respond with “Most of the items can be obtained with payment” and that is true. But the problem is that you reach a point where you have to grind for days to just upgrade a weapon, let alone buy a whole new one. Which essentially forces you to pay of you want to continue making progress. Around level ~16/17 you will run into a brick wall. You will face opponents who have bought much better weapons than you and you will be decimated. The game becomes essentially impossible to win on a personal level. And half the time you are pitted against opponents who are 3+ levels higher anyway. My K/D before Level 16 was 1.49, it has since dropped to 1.42 (I have played ~140 games). My W/L went from 57% to 54%. I am constantly being 2 shot from a shotgun or 1 shot by some snipers. I have no hope of fighting back becomes I have to use their dropped weapons to stand a chance. Fun to play for the first ~110 games, but after that you run into a giant paywall to even stand a chance. DO NOT believe the developers when they say most weapons can be obtained for free, it takes days to gain enough to just upgrade weapons. ✓ A disappointing returnI used to play this game but stopped as I lost my account in an old phone. After a year or so I just bit the bullet and started fresh. This is what you will need to know before playing. I know there are more maps but it seems there are just 2 in rotation. The team balance is none existent You will need to drop at least £25 to have a reasonable chance of killing any one. Or god tier resolve as you are pounded repeatedly by people with better gear. Spawn camping is common. Any clan or group that has a brain will shut a team down by camping the other teams spawn. You will spawn with your back to them on some maps so you have no chance of clearing them. You can progress quickly to level 7 then it gets markedly slower. You have to spread your limited gear across your load outs. This means you will have one good load out and the rest will be trash or unusable as you can buy multiples of the lower tier weapons. You’d have to have the bottom 3 levels of pistol, say, if you had 3 load outs. This makes the grind insane and you have to buy weapons you have no interest in. One geared guy with half an idea about the game can and does dominate a match with no hope of winning. Having said all this. ✓ Matching Algorithm Push PurchasesGame mechanics is pretty straight forward and beginner game play is pretty leveled since weapons and player stats (even pay to win players) are pretty even. When you get to higher levels tho - 25+, you’ll get a rush of matches with unbalanced team comps (i.e full armor, wayyy higher level with unlocked guns that you nor does anyone in your team). If matching was done based off gear ranking, then the imbalance of teams wouldn’t occur, especially a team of random players with avg low level gear against a team made up of clan members who are mostly lvl 32+ while everyone in game is 28. They say create a group with friends or clans but I don’t see how that would make team matching more balanced... they’re basically telling you to take advantage of their matching system cause they are too lazy to fix it and if they do, their revenue stream might take a hit from having less frustrated players. If they analyze their data, I’m sure they already know the number of purchases after unbalanced matches versus balanced matches. Still bad… worse now with less players. Getting matched against higher level players with wayyy better guns. I get kill streaks still by picking up their guns but if they camp or even have similar skill, the better gun wins. The issue is not the fantastic gameplay, nor is it the decent graphics or great movement mechanics. It's not the amazing gun mechanics and it's not the excellent performance or the awesome map design. You guessed it, it's the ability to buy power in the shop & the matchmaking that comes with that power. I could literally pay to buy the best weapon in the game at level one and wreck every player I come across. I'm a decent player I get a good K/D and I have good game sense. I'm level 17 and I am now coming across (in every game) players who have just bought a better weapon than I have and kill me in one or two shots even though I flanked them, aimed better and shot first. I'm really disappointed because I love this game but I can't justify the money to buy a weapon, only to be out powered in another 5-10 levels by some whale who's spent $100+ on his loadout. ✓ Same old same oldPretty much just another run of the mill FPS. Overall it’s not bad, but I don’t see a thing that makes it stand out either. After only 20 matches I’m already bored with it. Like many games in this genre, you’re thrown into timed matches with random teammates and whoever gets the most kills wins. Sometimes the game is already in progress, sometimes its just starting. Not much strategy to it. Mostly just running around till you encounter an enemy, then, typically, you empty your mags into each other’s faces till one of you is dead. You can get away with that usually once or twice before you’re toast. Then respawn and repeat. Eventually you’ll encounter a player with way better gear that you’ll barely scratch while he takes you out with just a couple shots. Hence the ever lasting grind for upgrades. Grind for points to level up and unlock better guns and armor. Grind for funds to buy and upgrade the better stuff. Or you can pay through the nose for coin to save some time. At just level 5 it’s looking like a $30-40 USD investment to acquire a just one moderately improved assault rifle. ✓ Great game but flawed matchingI love the game, that’s why I keep playing it, but it should match players according to gun/equipment and the levels of said guns/equipment. Not the level of the actual player (or whatever is used). I am constantly matched against players who obviously have more money than sense. Therefore they have awesome guns at a low player level and I get killed by one bullet from nowhere. If these people want to spend their hard earned cash on this game, that’s fine, but let them play against other players with the same mindset. I just really wish you could sell unwanted weapons, I saved up for a very long time to buy a vampire but after the first few games with it i realized it was a mistake. Rapidly over the past months the developers have made many changes to the game making it very discouraging and unfair for both ftp and ptw players alike. Virtually everything costs a currency now when they did before. Weekend events used to be fun care free type games that let you try out different weapons. Now Every event is set up to negatively impact your xp and structured to encourage you to spend your currency and real money. On top of that you still have to play constantly because spending money doesn't guarantee squat. Payouts from playing have been reduced to almost nothing now so if you want tokens better spend lots of money. To wrap this up the server often has lag or in game bugs. There's also the possibility for your game to be entirely erased. So if you spent money, that's all gone now. When you try to get support to help you recover it they will take forever to respond. When they finally do they will pretty much ignore anything you tell them about the problem. The movement and controls are very simple but it works really well on a small touch screen. The one problem I have is that, while being free to play, this game pay to win. I consider myself a decent player but once I it level 27, I have been struggling consistently. When I checked other players I’ve been playing against was between levels 30-41. Obviously one cannot expect to keep up with players at much higher level. The weapons are way too powerful for lower level players to keep up with. ✓ It's okThis game is ok. It's just a fun cartoony shooter for when you are bored. But if you try play this game to win and be a pro, you will be super frustrated every match. The game counts kills on a last hit system, so no matter how much you weaken an enemy, if someone else gets the last shot, that means it's his kill. Ik this system is used in other games, but those games add an assist count as kill system where you damage an enemy a lot but someone else gets the kill, it still counts as a kill for you. Also, it takes so much grinding just to get one gun. The reward you get for completing a 10 minute match and coming first place is nothing compared to the prices of new guns. Getting gold is hard but it's better then getting none without spending money. The trophy system is also dumb. ✓ Game for rich peopleI enjoyed playing this at first and got up to level 40 but to be competitive now you would have to spend hundreds of dollars on gold to buy decent weapons. I had all the upgrades on the outfits and had been playing long enough to understand the game to compete so had full protection and damage infliction but simply can’t afford powerful enough guns. Without the firepower you get wasted all the time and I had the fully maxed assault rifles, machine guns etc which had already cost me hundreds to buy the gold to get those. I reckon you’re looking in excess of NZD$1000 to be able to play this game long enough to get level 40 and still compete. If you enjoy being killed all the time and not able to inflict damage on players way better equipped than you, go for it. If you are really rich and like spending all your money on games, this is excellent. ✓ Money hungryThis game was, actually, really fun when I started playing. The problem, now, is that if one wants to compete, one must spend actual real-life money. I don’t have a problem with that. My problem is that the guns, one needs to compete, are very expensive, prohibitively so. Top-tier guns can run near the hundred dollar mark, maybe more, in actual cash. Also, with the weekly updates, the game just isn’t keeping up with itself, as far as functionality and smoothness of play. It’s highly glitchy with lots of lag. Not to mention the “Brawls”, which are only for “fun”(you have to suffer cheaters and tons of glitches), because you can’t really benefit from them, because you have to buy an expensive “contract” that defeats the entire purpose of playing in the brawl. And anytime you bring an issue about the way the game functions on whatever device you use, to their support team, they blame your WiFi connection. (you know the stuff you work hard for to pay for goods and services in the real physical world) to upgrade your weapons and armor (virtual items that don’t exist in the real world) For a short while you do better than those who didn’t spend money. Then your opponents spend real money and now the developer has your money and your opponents money. BUT now neither you or your opponent have an advantage. Your even again. That is until you pay more money to have even stronger weapons and armor. For a short while you have an advantage. Soon your opponent upgrades his weapons and armor and once again the developer gets richer while you and your opponents now are evenly matched again. There are people spending hundreds of dollars chasing. this false sense of superiority. Can you imagine collecting real money from people for things that only exist in a virtual world. This game is wonderful. The scam is pure evil. The only winner here is the weapons dealer.
