✓ Love Freshly....butI love this service. I have tried many of the meals and as expected some are better than others. However overall...very pleased and do highly recommend Freshly. Customer Service is excellent and the rare occasion that there has been an issue with a delivery they immediately made it right. Now the but....(and this is based on a personal preference level). 1). I pretty much only eat seafood and I wish there was more of a selection. As of this week the best seafood meal is gone (Low Country Boil) and sadly I will likely suspend my service until more seafood is available. There are a couple of meals with fish still available but they virtually have no flavor, they are so bland. I just completed a survey about some possible upcoming options which seem to include some Cajun style choices. I’m from the Gulf Coast and those are my kind of flavors. 2). The weight of the box is an issue. The ice is so heavy that I unfortunately have to open the box outside and bring things into the house separate. ✓ Wonderful meals and service.I have been using Freshly for several months now and I love the meals. They are varied, well prepared and very flavorful. The calorie/fat count is very reasonable and heart healthy. It’s delivered in great condition and has enough freezer packs to protect the food and keep it cold. The only drawback: they could be a little more generous with the servings. Not the proteins but the sides. I have to sometimes add a salad to fill me up. They do add a new dinner each week, sometimes 2, so there is always something for every taste. I recommend them highly. I also save quite a bit of money each week with this plan and that is a major plus. Something different each night! Also, all the packaging is recyclable. Bonus!.Version: 2.5.1
✓ Tasty, Healthy Food & Simple AppOnce my kid went off to college and I started to create new goals for myself, I needed to streamline my life. Cooking became a chore. I was burned out and ended up eating less healthily because I didn’t want to be bothered. I need a way to manage my calories and my health without thinking. I also wanted my time back. Enter Freshly’s prepared meal service and I was amazed. Every single meal is tasty. Every. Single. Meal. My picky boyfriend even likes them. And it is so affordable to get 12 meals a week that I’m saving grocery money. I can add more fruit, veggies, nuts or snacks around each healthy meal portion and still manage my caloric intake. I am recommending Freshly to anyone who is tired of wasting time in the kitchen and would rather be using their life and time in other ways. And the app is even better. ✓ Love it !!!Started about a month ago with 6 meals and we love it so much we decided to proceed with 9 meals. Food is Amazing ! Very convenient for everyone I would say, it makes life so much easier, you don’t have to employ your time on cooking it’s already cooked for you! Let me start by saying they are very punctual, our food gets deliver every Monday around 7:00 am, nice delivery guy by the way. In the app you get to choose what type of dish you would like, there are a variety of great dishes , so you will never get tired of eating the same thing over and over again. You can rate the dishes also, that’s great that way they know if people enjoyed or not. The only thing that I wish they had is more options on the plans , they currently have 6 meals, 8 meals , 9 meals or 12 meals. I think they should add a 10 meal instead of 9 that doesn’t make sense to me, other than that We love it ! It’s really been a life changer for us. I will definitely recommend !.Version: 1.8.5
✓ 10/10I don’t usually write reviews, but I just had to because freshly had incredible customer service. I recently moved and had issues on two separate occasions (entirely my fault)that were taken care of right away. One of the times I forgot to cancel the order to my old address before the skip period and the second time I accidentally placed back to back deliveries to my new address, one Saturday and one Sunday, which would have been waaay too much food. Both times I was able to contact customer service super quick, and even though it was past the time frame, they were able to cancel my unwanted orders and even refunded me right away. They’re always super friendly, you don’t have to wait forever to talk to someone, and they follow up with an email to make sure everything was taken care of. On top of the excellent customer service, the food is also great. If you don’t like having the same thing over again, it can get repetitive, but they do have seasonal meals that add variety and keep things interesting. It costs just as much as eating out, even cheaper most times, and it’s so much better. Plus, it’s perfectly portioned, so I never have to worry about wasting food..Version: 1.8.0

I needed to make a change when my time was limited and my schedule flipped upside down during the pandemic. I looked through the available options and just took a leap of faith trusting fresh chef prepared food couldn’t be that terrible and OMG am I glad I did it. Not only have I eaten EVERY meal they’ve delivered me, but I loved them! Never in my lifetime would I ever think that cauliflower noodles would have been on a plate in front of me, but there they were! ...and added to all my upcoming deliveries because I loved them so much. ✓ Delicious & the customer service is A+Flavorful meals, easy to change meals, change # of meals, skip deliveries, it’s all easy. You have any problem whatsoever? Message them using the chat option and they are quick and efficient. I’ve even used the option to leave chat (if there’s any wait time and you don’t want to wait) and they e-mailed me so fast already taking action on the problem I described in the chat. I had an issue with change of address and they did make a mistake but I called them and they reviewed the last chat I had with someone giving my address, they owned up to it quick and fixed it ASAP. SO genuine and didn’t act like I was an inconvenience. Customer Service is beyond great and the meals are great too. Someone recommended it to me and I have my sister hooked on it too!.Version: 1.7.7
✓ Superb Food - Shipping issues w/LaserShipPros: The quality and taste of Freshly meals are excellent. They have a wide selection of healthy options with vetted sourcing and no fillers or unnecessary ingredients. Cons: Waiting to see who the shipping partner is for NC/Triangle area. I started using Freshky while I was on a two month work trip to the Miami area. I had never heard of LaserShip and hopefully will not be subject to their subpar service and unreliability again. On my 2nd order, LaserShip didn’t sort the box correctly and it took a full 24+ hrs to deliver my food from the originally scheduled date. The 4th delivery, LaserShip damaged the box sufficiently to render the meals unsafe—they initially left a note that the item was ‘not able to be left with addressee’. It took them 16 hours to update the status to item damaged, discarded (per Freshly’s guidance). Both times I wrote LaserShip, it took them 4 days to respond. When I called, the agent was apathetic, hard to Understand, and could tell me nothing other than that he would make a note for the delivery driver to call me on future deliveries. ✓ First Responder Meals of ChoiceI normally work seven, 12 hour shifts at an air ambulance base. I am on call and cannot leave. If I prepare a meal at the station, I might get a call halfway through the preparation and be gone for hours at a moments notice. I could meal prep for the week and freeze half of the portions. But no matter what on that last day you are eating 7 day old food. I could get frozen dinners from Walmart if I liked eating the same three meals that I can stand for weeks at a time. Plus with the added risk of COVID exposure every time I go into the ONE place that everyone in my town now gathers at. But instead I have FRESHLY!! I have a wide variety of delicious food that I can microwave at work and enjoy. They always arrive sealed in a cold box that I have had outside in Texas heat for over six hours and they were still frozen and fresh. ✓ Yes and thank you.I finally found something that works for me. I have a day job that I leave for at 6am every morning. I’m also an athlete and have practice or weights in the evening. I don’t get home until about 9pm. By then the last thing I want to do is cook. I’ve tried a few of these types of meal plans but most of them weren’t great as far as taste and none really provided the serving size I wanted and needed. They never looked like the pictures and always left me feeling hungry a short time later. This was my last shot at something like this. ✓ They say “third time’s the charm.”I am a single medical profession and my 8 hour day is routinely 10-12. I have tried some of the other meal by mail companies, and while the food was good, I still had to chop, sauté, boil, bake, etc when I got home. The Freshly meals are generously sized and tasty! I have taken them to work for lunch & my co-workers are jealous. The per meal price seems high at first, but you are getting the equivalent of two grocery store frozen meals. So the price actually works out. I did not realize that the meals are not frozen prior to shipping because they always arrive frozen. I live about 4 hours from the shipping hub. My order got on the wrong truck and the delivery was delayed by one day. That’s when I found out that fresh, no frozen meals were so well packaged that they actually froze in the box. So no worries about from me about the shipping temp. While the shipping error was on FedEx, Freshly gave me a bit off my next order which is great customer service. Fresh food was limited in stores (or so I’m told) and I rationed at home for nearly three months, as I waited for a safer time when more people had been exposed and were hopefully not contagious. I lost 30 lbs and was no longer obese, but I wanted to find a healthy alternative to do a lifestyle change so I didn’t pack the fat back on. My daughter introduced me to freshly. I found the app easy to use, well developed, informative, and the prices were pretty good. The meals came in a wide variety that allowed me to try international recipes without the restaurants. I could adjust my selections to suit my tastes as each delivery date approached. The meals are made and delivered unfrozen in chilled packaging, so no need for preservatives or excess processing methods that our diets have fallen into; just look at the pronounceable ingredient lists. Did I mention the meals taste great? It’s a win-win for your health and your finances. Restaurant quality meals without parking, fuel, or tips. The ability to pause a shipment until you are ready means you can control the costs. Depending on your plan, even with shipping, the meals are much cheaper than dining out. ✓ Excellent foodI tried Hello Fresh for a few weeks, it was nice; however, I really didn’t have the time to prepare the meals. Sometimes (or almost always) they took longer than what is allotted on the recipe. I was also skeptical of a “already-prepared-door-2-door meal”, but Freshly proved me wrong. Everything is so fresh and tasty. The food is healthy, unique, and (as the name suggests) fresh! A few times we have had to freeze the meals that we didn’t eat. It’s ok to do this; however, the difference in taste is quite noticeable, it’s that fresh. The only problem that I have had is remembering to change the meals before the deadline (which is my fault, they send reminders to both the app and email if you choose). If you’re looking for excellent price, convenient shipping, fast prep (2-4 min in the microwave), delicious food, and extremely easy and “green” clean up, invest in this food service..Version: 1.8.5

✓ Loved everything we’ve tried so farI wish I had discovered freshly sooner. I’m not much of a cook, takeout is expensive and not healthy, frozen meals from the grocery store aren’t great. These meals are delicious! My somewhat picky thirteen year old likes them too. If I’m not home she can just feed herself a delicious filling healthy meal any time. It’s as close as you can get to a home cooked or good restaurant meal and the convenience can’t be beat. Delivered right to my door and three minutes in the microwave? Awesome! And it all tastes so good, nice flavors/textures but nothing too overpowering and none of that cardboard-y frozen meal taste. Because they are fresh not frozen! They last for a week in the fridge just fine. The variety is good. I can keep my favorites but swap some things out for meals I haven’t tried yet because I’m not afraid I won’t like it because I like have liked everything so far. (Been doing this for a month). ✓ Love freshly!We LOVE Freshly! I work second shift so I have a hard time cooking and we constantly eat out. We’ve both gained a ton of weight since I changed shifts and no longer have time to cook healthy food. We have only eaten Freshly meals for a couple of weeks but every single meal we’ve tried has been delicious. You can choose how you eat- if you want to eat low cal, low carb, etc, and all of the ingredients, macros, and nutritional info is available to you. The portions are great. You feel full but it’s not too much food. It’s the perfect amount of food to be satiated. The proteins aren’t chewy like I expected re-heated chicken and beef to be. It’s moist, tender, and delicious. The only thing I would change is to switch up the selection more each week, but it looks like they’re working on that. We decided to try freshly since it’s healthy and easy to do. We got our first delivery this week and the food is amazing! Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how good it is. We had no problems with shipping. I live in the south where the heat index has been 110 and I was worried how it would do in this heat. ✓ Excellent foodI’m a relatively picky eater, but I can honestly say that I’ve liked all of the 8 different meals I’ve tried so far. My meals have arrived when expected and were packed with ice-packs to keep them cold. The only issue I’ve had was that my first shipment was missing a meal. However, I reported it to customer service and they promptly added a $10 credit to my account to compensate for the missing meal. The mobile app also makes it really easy to adjust my weekly orders and see pictures of the meals. I’m very happy with this meal service. I tend to work long hours and don’t feel like cooking most of the time, so I especially love that they’re already fully prepared and all I have to do is heat them up. ✓ More vegan/ vegetarian optionsAll the meals we have gotten so far have been very good. The one I didn’t like was the veggie curry (and I bought a few of them 😕). It would be so much better if they had more vegetarian options. As of now there are only 3 vegetarian options, (one of which I don’t like). My husband loves all the meat options. I love the squash risotto. The portions are generous and perfect for a filling dinner. It would also be nice if we got text reminders for the last day to change orders for the next week. The packaging has less plastic than most of the other delivery companies. If they could figure out a more environmentally friendly package for the food tray itself, that would be great. If it has to be plastic, then coming with a lid so you could re-use would be better. I have tried a few different companies, and this has been my favorite (except the minimal vegetarian options). I like how the meals are already prepared- and fresh not frozen. It feels more like a home cooked meal instead of a microwave dinner. I made the decision to drastically change my eating and exercise habits and with the help of Freshly meals I’ve reached my goal a lot quicker than expected! Freshly meals have significantly large portions in each container, everything is made fresh by chefs and with the healthiest ingredients! To be completely honest I’ve never had a liking to ANY vegetables at all while growing up. Delivery: The food comes routinely once a week same day same time, i love the consistency. The food ships in a good size box with an ice pack that keeps the food chilled Food: the food tastes amazing. Very flavorful and generously sized. Proportions are typically spot on. There are times when some portions of the same meal are smaller or larger than other times. There were of course 1 or 2 meals that i personally did not like but thankfully their menu changes so you can decide what you will and will not order again Menu: although i love everything i order for now i would like to see menu changes more frequently. Someone like me who has been using them for several months would like to mix it up now. I love how they have something for EVERYBODY. Meat lovers, vegetarians, and pescatarians!! ✓ Phenomenal App, Food, and ServiceI have been using Freshly for several months now and am beyond satisfied. This App is incredibly user friendly. I am not sure about the sign up process as I already had an account when I downloaded the app, but from my experience it is incredibly user friendly and organized and it just looks good. The food itself is also awesome. I have certain meals that I like more than others but I honestly haven’t tried one yet that I actually disliked. All of the meals I get are gluten free and there are several meatless and low-cal options as well. To have all these healthy, balanced meals prepared and delivered to you is great and it’s even better that they are all so delicious! Beyond all this, what caused me to want to leave a review is their customer service. Last week I never received my delivery of meals. This was the first issue of any kind I’ve had with their deliveries. I called in and informed customer service of this and without any further questioning they processed my refund in full (I received the email it had been processed when I was still on the phone with them). On top of that they also gave me a discount on the next week’s order. I have been so pleased with the food up til now and I was very happy to see the customer service was just as good. The one I didn’t like was fine, just not my favorite. I love the convenience of having a fresh meal prepared and ready to microwave. I’m on the go a lot and, although I love cooking, I don’t have a lot of time. This service fits my life very well. I had a small issue and contacted customer service and I was extremely impressed and happy with the excellent customer service I received. Freshly has none of the hoops to jump through to get what you want and no garbage ingredients many other meal services have. The portions feel generous (hey, that’s coming from a plus size gal with an appetite)! The food is amazing! And real meals you’re actually going to want to eat... not foo-foo nonsense slapped together to sound or look impressive on a plate! The app is also super user friendly and there’s no pressure... ✓ Overall food dishesI have been receiving Freshly for several weeks now and have been very happy with each meal. Some meals I’ve liked more than others but there are none that have been distasteful. Even though they are supposed to be portion controlled, I am always fulfilled once finished and it is great to be eating a healthy meal without a lot of additives. I had hoped to try a few more of my entrees to determine which I would reorder so I took a week off because turnaround time for the food shipment the following week only allows you a few days in between. All meals are shipped on dry ice, come fresh (like the name, unfrozen) and take under 3 minutes to microwave. ✓ So Glad I Found FredhlyI’ve always love fresh cooked meals but since my Mom passed 4 years ago I just don’t feel like cooking for one and most nights I work late. It’s mostly having to clean the mess then I over cook. Each week I place a grocery order and the following week it goes in the garbage. The other plans are either frozen or you still have to cook for yourself. With Freshly you get Delicious Home Style meals with great flavor and portion control for one person. No mess, no leftovers and no pots to clean, just a fork and knife. I am into my second week and I am looking forward to my choices. So far for me this is a win win situation, Delicious Food, delivered Fresh just pop in microwave for a couple of minutes and you have a wonderful meal. ✓ Convenient and Tasty!These meals have been incredibly convenient and taste great too! I was eating fast food almost every day as it was fast and easy, but with these meals I’ve cut that down considerably and lost some weight too! I’m single and I tried other meal delivery programs but still ended up with too much food and I was often too tired to cook after a long day, but Freshly makes it easy! Would definitely recommend to those with busy lifestyles! Only thing I would recommend is watching the expiration date. I get 6 meals and have been eating them nightly and didn’t realize the expiration date is for only a few days after my meals are delivered. ✓ Good food easyWe are a busy family always on the go, my children are grown and it’s hard to get us together at dinner time and I was always platting dinner or throbbing out food my 18 year old found freshly and was excited about what you all did. We looked into you. We started right away. With a little delivery hiccups which were not Freshly’s fault but were there to help all the way, but email and text. It all was fixed this is our third week going on our fourth and it is wonderful. I wish we could substitute because that would be wonderful. My husband only is a meat and potatoes man so I tend to take his vegetables to lunch for work the next day. Other then that we love you! Keep up the great work! ✓ Freshly weekly food deliveryI am amazed of how “Freshly” make it so good just like its newly cooked. This save me a lot of time and also it was great to have when I was sick. I didn’t have to think of what food to eat because it’s right here waiting to be heated just for three minutes. It’s healthy and it taste so good! It could be pricey for others, that’s why you have to work to get good meals. My husband, who is very picky at times, likes it and anyone that tasted it. I love it because there are different menus to choose from every week. You can also skip a week or any week you want but for me, you are missing out. ✓ Awesome!I have tried pretty much every meal planning service on the face of the earth at this point. I’ve been waiting for freshly to come to my area, and finally! It’s here! I’ve only had one delivery so far but I am absolutely thrilled with the service and the quality of the meals. This is such a wonderful easy way to eat healthy, and because I don’t have the cooking and cleanup, it’s also stopping me from eating out as often. The meals are perfectly portioned and filling. My first delivery there was only one meal that I didn’t particularly enjoy, but the rest were great! My only complaint is that the meals don’t change as often as I would like. Being that I just started I have lots of new meals to try, but I imagine in a few months I may start skipping weeks only because the meals stay mostly the same. The app is very handy and even has a function to chat with staff, which has been very helpful when I had questions. With all the ingredients we have to buy sometimes a meal for him and I come out to close 60 -70 dollars and I sometimes end up throwing away certain ingredients because I don’t need an entire bunch of cilantro or celery so we thought what the heck we’ll give this a shot . I was so impressed first of all the way it comes shipped . Ice packets and all . I’m a pretty big eater lol!
