✓ Bug issuesThe app isn't working for IPad Mini first Gen. I kno it's an older model blah blah. -__- I have and older version of the app. It was working flawlessly until around yesterday morning : /. Keeps asking me to sign into my PSN then says "Incorrect Numbers" for the first couple attempts . Once signed in it gets stuck on a solid blue screen. ✓ OkayI wouldn’t recommend getting the app if you want to use a phone instead of a controller for your PS4, but it certainly helps type faster and easier than you would with a normal controller. ✓ Can't even get it connected!Says it's compatible with ios devices (iphonex).. In the phone app I've found and selected my ps4, then following the instructions on the phones screen to generate a unique number on the ps4. I then enter the unique number in the phone app.. When setting up the App initially, as too if you attempt to change any time thereafter, Sony offer 2 options regarding user usage data. One allowing Sony to access user usage data & additional user data - ✔️ App works really well. Second option allowing Sony to only access user usage data for service purposes - ✔️ App instantly crashes and becomes inaccessible, try to open the app again with second option ticked and crashes on opening. It’s not so much the fact that these are options not choices it’s the principle that if you don’t allow Sony full stalking rights you can’t use this App. They were better off just using an agree/disagree button..Version: 18.9.6

Looks and feels like it’s been put together by a half competent developer in their back bedroom as a hobby rather than a multimillion dollar company like Sony. Downloaded this as I have extremely complicated passwords and typing them in with a controller is very difficult. The main issue for me was it wouldn’t seem to work with pasted passwords or password managers autofilling in the app. Anything over 8 characters and it goes a bit awry. ✓ Not as good as xboxYou’d think after an overhaul, and brag about it, Sony would actually make the second screen worthwhile. Yes some new functions are good, but the second screen is ridiculously poor. Nothing has been changed. At least with the Xbox app, you can control your whole dashboard, with an identical screen that you see on tv, not some mediocre grey and black screen, with left, right, up and down. Also, with the Xbox app you can use that totally as a controller for watching blurays. Sony has only just now released a controller and a 3rd party controller. As an added bonus you need this app to be able to switch off a detected PS4 etc. You used to be able to do this with the simple "PlayStation" app (which also did messaging), but I guess that was too useful. I imagine soon there will be a separate PS Store app, leaving the main one to do *something*, perhaps just view trophies. If you use your PS4 to access your menu and settings then you'll love this! Instead it is designed for people who want to swipe up and down, side to side, press the ps button, options, and back. Also it features a almost useless 2nd screen only compatible with very small games that support the feature. It is rather useless. ✓ Incredibly frustratingI never had an issue with Sony deciding to split their app into 3, but today changed my mind completely. While attempting to sign into the second screen app, I had to verify I was a human signing it. Nothing out of the ordinary there, or so I thought. For the sake of making this review I sat there for 5(!!!!!!) minutes doing every dumb picture verifier known to man....and I got nowhere. This gives you additional options that are really only useful if your to lazy to pick up your controller. If I had the option to access the settings of my PS4 in this app where I could see hard drive space, connected devices and there power states, ability to remove/update games, network connected to and quality then it would be the ‘Second screen’ app people would appreciate. Granted some games do provide second screen as a feature but I’ve yet to play one that makes use of it. However, the app is incapable of waking either system up, I get a message saying it's unable to contact the system within the time limit. I can also confirm when you change your privacy settings so the app collects less data, the app crashes and won't open again. This really is a dreadful app and must be avoided at all costs.
