✓ Good idea, mediocre executionI really would like to like this app. It is founded on a good concept and some of the functionality is fine. But there are so many glitches, mostly in editing capabilities. Type in an item and then try to edit it. You can’t. You have to delete the item and then re-enter it. Create an activity/list and then try to edit or delete it. You can’t. When I wrote the developer, he sent instructions that did not work. Really people—if you want a class app, then fix the basics. Seems like you threw an app out there and then walked away from it..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Requires internet connectionI’ve never written a review for an app. This is the first time because I am so annoyed. I’m at the airport and open the app on my iPad to review my packing list. Guess what? I can’t even review the packing list for my trip because my iPad is not connected to the internet. I simply wanted to take a look for peace of mind, but I can’t even though nothing I want to do requires internet connection. I don’t care if the weather is not updated, I just want to see the packing list. I can’t review my own list simply because it can’t be shared with the developer at the same time? I paid to customize this app. Apparently my payment isn’t enough, developer also needs constant access to sell my data. Deleting immediately..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Great App, but GlitchyThis is a great app for organizing for trips. I’m able to break down my packing lists into individual check off lists like camping, air travel, sundries etc… The only problem I’ve encountered is that the items on my lists keep rearranging on their own. So if I, for example, organize clothes by type (dress shirts, running shirts, polos, then jeans, slacks, shorts, etc…) this app will, at random, mix up my list to where shirts are mixed within longs socks and dress pants and shoes—just scattered all over the place. It’s not only frustrating, but counterproductive as well. *Note—I’ve reached out to them about this problem. Hopefully it’s fixed soon because I do, overall, like and want to keep this app..Version: 1.12.4
✓ Non-functional without internetThe UI is pretty nice, but no dark mode. I just downloaded and was considering upgrading and going all-in with this app for my packing lists, but noticed the app is completely non-functional without an internet connection. You can’t view any of your trips or lists without a connection. For a travel-related app, you’d think offline support would be a P0 feature..Version: 1.13.2
✓ A Bit More Attention To Details, MonsieurSince the team Packing Pro insists on 1920s New York style cigarette-smelling and soul-simmering beige design language on their icons, I jumped to this "buy me a glass of brandy or we'll give you a discount for the pro version" ship. App looks okay in theory, but in the real world... well, how can put this, very Peugeot-ish! Loading circle in the editing menu spins and spins and spins. I can willfully accept if they use Microsoft Access 95 as primary database manager. However, if not, then please fix it for good cause! Secondly, I haven't yet been diagnosed with OCD, though, lack of CamelCasing in headlines and list items seriously disturbs my mood. Additionally, not being able to edit or delete those items even elevates my cortisol level significantly. I know I am asking a lot for £2 off-licence-grade synthetic grape wine money and possibly another £5 for a glass of brandy but if developer/developers fix these oddities this app can be an absolute essential for traveling. So, buy this at your own risk..Version: 1.4.5
✓ Custom pictures for trips brokenWhen reading through reviews this looks like an long existing issue for the app. If the feature doesn’t work it ought to be removed and colors or other types of labels used to quickly separate trips visually on the main screen. Most other options seem to work reliably. I do like the pre-loaded lists based upon activity. It’s this feature that drew me to this category of apps (otherwise a simple list in the notes app would work). For an upcoming family trip I’ll try out the sharing features. To see if this works as well as other list apps (for shopping we use Anylist).Version: 1.11

✓ General consensus is goodIs a nice looking app that has a possibility for many trips and allows you to add multiple locations with the premium feature. However it’s very slow and requires WiFi so can’t be used offline which is rather irritating. It’s also biased towards pre-made lists and doesn’t allow as much customisation, e.g a trip photo. Just feels a little bit over completed for what it is.Version: 1.6.1
✓ Needs work!The idea is great and I love the personalisation features but when I had already made a trip list on one device then paid to be able to sync, it had to delete the trip I already started making... which was the whole reason I wanted to sync 🙄 not cool..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Difficult and unnecessaryThis app helped me realise I don’t need an app like this. I paid to edit lists and can’t. You delete something and it comes right back. You edit a name and it doesn’t change. As others described, it’s clunky and difficult to use. It was quicker to pack than create a list. In the end I went back to the checklist I have in Apple notes and wondered why I ever thought I needed something else..Version: 1.5.1

✓ No undo, no editingI am constantly accidentally hitting an item and there is no way to undo it. Most apps allow you to shake the phone and it will undo your last action. I have to keep completed items visible and then sometimes I don’t know which one just clicked without my realizing it. Also, once you enter an item, you cannot edit it. As others have said, you have to delete it and re-enter it. I can live with the editing issue, but if there could just be an undo feature, I would give it a much higher rating..Version: 1.13.4
✓ Doesn’t work offlineI paid for the premium version of this app and I can’t believe that it doesn’t work offline. You can’t view your lists at all when you’re in a location of no service. I was using this for a camping trip and got to my final location out of cell internet range to find out that I couldn’t use the list to repack and make sure I had everything. ✓ OK, but needs work.Not a bad app, a clean design albeit fairly bland, it is not intuitive, and is quite basic with only limited customisation in the free version. Setting a spread of dates for my trip was awkward and I had to ask the programmer how to do it before I could work it out. Clunky. Would have been much better to have a START TRIP and FINISH TRIP boxes, or the sort of date setter Apple uses on their calendars, with those rotating wheel thingies. Next, having entered the destination and dates of my trip (I'm going to New York in October-November) the app appears to be pulling current weather data for August, when it is 28C and warm, and making clothing suggestions based on current mid-summer in New York. Who needs bathing trunks during a New York winter? Next, the pack list only allows for one person so you cannot use it to pack for a couple. When I wrote the first draft of this review you only had a choice of male or female packers, but the developer has since responded and now offers a gender-neutral option. So he is certainly open to suggested updates - well done! Lastly, you cannot customise the packing lists unless you buy the upgrade. To summarise, the app works but is quite basic and i think it is still a work-in-progress. There are other free packing-list apps which offer more features, but check back from time to time as the developer seems keen to keep working on it and improving it based on suggestions from the users. ✓ Freezing IssuesPurchased the Pro version. Worked for an hour or so but now freezes on a loading screen when trying to add a new list to a current trip or when creating a new trip. Tried refreshing, uninstalling and restarting iPad. App is now useless..Version: 1.7.2

Items added to lists cannot be changed or edited, you have to delete the item and re- enter which is frustrating. ✓ Not a free appI tried to make a packing list and ticked off as instructed my destination and activities. The app would do no more ie, create me a packing list or allow me to create one without paying £1.99. ✓ Fatal flawsThis could be a good app but currently it has serious flaws that rule it out for any serious traveler: You can only choose 3 activities/packing categories at one time. Items you ‘permanently’ delete from packing list annoyingly reappear. Packing recommendations don’t change according to weather forecast. Sinking between devices causes annoying packing list item number changes. There is no way to instruct app to adjust for ‘carry-on luggage only’ trips. App mysteriously switches between male and female packing recommendations. All this makes the app a waste of time. I WANT A REFUND..Version: 1.9

✓ Needs a lot more work to be functionalThis requires an internet connection to use. THERE IS NO OFFLINE FUNCTIONALITY !! Absolutely useless in an area with no connectivity. E.g packing to leave in a hostel as I’ve just found myself, and even some hotels in city centres. Also tried to use the online support form within the app - layout of screen obscured all buttons, and then in the middle of it a ‘rate this app’ dialog appeared. Waiting on response from developer, but it’s looking likely I’ll ask for a refund as the app is fundamentally broken in its current incarnation..Version: 1.8
✓ Limited Categories?I really like the ease of the app, the way you can select accommodations/activities etc to make your list. But I am finding it hard to work with the categories/activities that you have. There is no food list to use (which would go along with several of the accommodations including camping). I also need to pack for a child - clothes, toys, bedding etc and I'm ending up trying to mash up the adult and the baby to make it work. If I were to go premium could I add my own categories and have them be able to be used later in other lists? Is there a future thought to adding more categories and items? Thank you.Version: 1.5.3

✓ Quits UnexpectedlyI really like this app, but recently it has been quiting after i enter the location and date - it isnt anything to do with the location / date becuase i have tried changing both... ✓ Great when online but doesn’t work when in airplane mode w/o WiFi internetJust starting to use this ‘app’ & realize it needs to be online to work. I understand some features like weather require this but it’d be nice for the app to work in airplane mode w/o an internet connection. Other travel apps I’ve used integrates travel info, packing lists & will work on & offline plus backup to iCloud. Multiple destination planning requires the $2 pro upgrade. ✓ Overall ok but not worth moneyI enjoy being prepared for holidays, so I liked the aspect of the app having lists that are grouped (like toiletries and essentials ). I did delete some of the things of the pre made lists and added my own. I wish you could entirely make the lists your self, but I'm not considering buying the premium version. I tried sharing it with my sister but it didn't work. I think it would also be a nice touch to upload your own photo rather then having the stock images. I'm sure there are other apps with the same concept that work better so I wouldn't recommend this one..Version: 1.11

✓ Fabulous app however Deleted items keep reappearing.I notice that people have been complaining about deleted items reappearing and you mention it has been repaired yet as of today Jan 6 2020 this is still a problem. Along with edited items just go back to what they were. Also I am up to date with my updates. I am hoping you take note of this review as I absolutely love this app and don’t want to have to find another. ✓ Pretty goodI find myself wishing it did more. I find it frustrating that if I make a spelling error I can’t edit the line item. You have to delete the item and add a new one. Also when you pay for additional functionality to creat your own list... you can in fact creat your own new list but you can’t actually use it. ✓ Not intuitive enoughI really liked UPackIt and thought this was similar…before I started using it. I would like to Edit a line item without having to delete it and add a retyped version. Haven’t figured out how. Are there instructions someplace? And then when editing items, I’m in a list view for my specific trip and when I try to delete an item for that trip, it asks if I want to delete it for all future trips. What? ✓ This app used to be a lifesaver but recent updates have made it frustrating to useI really like this app and use it every time I go out of town. However, the most recent version of the app has me wanting to throw my phone at a wall. The two biggest issues are that when I have my list set to “only show unpacked items” it does not update as I check things off nor does it move checked items to the bottom so I constantly have to check and uncheck it. The second issue is that half the time I check an item off it opens the item to be edited which is beyond frustrating. Waiting to see if these issues get resolved soon but otherwise will probably go back to using the native notes app because I get too frustrated with this one..Version: 2.2.1
