Oak - Meditation & Breathing for Positive User Reviews

A meditation app that is everything I need in a meditation appThis is a great meditation app. It has all the elements I need to help me get out of my head and just “be” for a however long I need. The breathing section is structured well and is an interesting take on building a community around it. Also, getting help was surprisingly fast. I received a response to my question within 10 minutes, before I even finished a meditation. That was awesome, and Eli’s directions put the app back to what I was expecting. The Oak app team has released a fantastic product. Definitely give it a try!.Version: 2.4.0

PerfectI cannot recommend this app highly enough. It is a gorgeous and highly accessible app- it has a few different types of meditations, some guided breathing techniques, and some night techniques. All are completely free and without any ads whatsoever. Even the app in-depth courses on different meditation techniques are free. The things I really appreciate about this app are 1. How much flexibility there is in meditation settings- there are light and dark options for the screen, you can choose a background noise effect (but don’t have to have one at all), can adjust speaker volume and background volume separately, and can adjust the length of meditation. It’s so simple and effective. 2. I love the loving kindness meditation. I have tried other guided loving kindness meditation routines and a lot involve visualisation techniques that end up distracting me personally. This one is the best- it’s so beautiful and peaceful and is so easy to follow. Truly a treasure and such an effective way to cultivate feelings of tenderness and compassion. I couldn’t fault this app if I tried, it’s my absolute favourite. Can’t recommend it highly enough!.Version: 2.5.2

This is so relaxingReason why I gave this a five star rating because it helps me go to sleep and I play Roblox so when Roblox didn’t let me play a game I just went straight to this app and I did calming and I just said inhale exhale and it really made me come down, so I just love this app and it really helps me go to sleep. My mom was using this the asked her what app is that she said app name oak and I was like can I use it one day and the next day after school I got a real bad headache and she downloaded this app on my tablet and I use this app every night!!!!.Version: 2.5.2

Great app! Thank you for the free courseWe were given the mantra meditation for free during this troubling time! Thank you to the creators. This is also my favorite meditation app because of its simplicity and customisation options for meditation with the sounds and lengths of meditations. Would recommend if someone wants something a bit more simple and traditional than Calm or Headspace.Version: 2.5.2

Really great appNot only has it guided me onto my meditation journey, there is also a breathing and sleeping guidance options. Deep breaths to wake you up or calm you, and sleeping guide or sounds. I’m currently up to a Crane level on meditation and like how it tracks my streaks. I am also very interested in the 10 day mantra course but I highly recommend this app for beginners!.Version: 2.5.2

Highly recommendedHave been using this effective, simple and free meditation app daily. It is now a part of my morning routine after yoga. Thank you..Version: 2.5.2

4 1/2 stars 🌟The woman’s voice in the guided meditation is calming without being annoying like some American accents (no offence). While you can set the timer for how long you want to mediate it would be good to have a timer that is set when the session ends and closes the app etc. As I often listen to this just before bed I forget to turn it off and if I have drifted off I then wake up hours later (in the middle of the night) with it still playing. Also if I set the session to end in 15 mins it would be good if it could gradually get quieter in say the last minute rather than an abrupt end. Thanks.Version: 1.3.0

Fabulous even for non meditation peopleI totally love this app and I’ll be the first one to admit I’m very resistant to making time for meditating. Intellectually, I get it, I know it’s good for me but who has the time? This app completely broke through my resistance. It’s clean, beautiful and very straightforward. I can easily pick what I want to do and do it before my brain finds something else to do! I love having options for each of the 3 categories (meditation breathing and sleeping) and I like the short and to the point explanations. It’s an app I actually use everyday! Thank you! Hoping for an Apple Watch option at some point so there can be vibrating guidance during the breathing exercises..Version: 2.3.1

Outstanding work! The Oak teams hard work and many revisions has created a solid app that gives incredible benefit to its users. Thanks a bunch!.Version: 1.1.0

Great minimal meditation appHave been using Oak for a couple weeks now and have been enjoying it a lot. The interface is simple and attractive, and the app is easy to use while still having customizability. Two features I’d love to see implemented: 1. Add audio cues to the breathing exercises. It would be nice to be able to close your eyes while breathing but have an audio cue tell you when to switch between an in-breath and out-breath. Other apps I’ve used in the past have this functionality and it’s definitely useful. 2. Add more options for “warm-up,” ideally allow the user to choose any interval between 5-60 seconds. I don’t need 30 seconds to get settled on my cushion. Otherwise, this app is excellent and I really enjoy using it multiple times per day for my meditation practice and breathing exercises..Version: 1.3.0

HelpfulThis app provides a variety of techniques with a variety of types of meditation. It makes things simple yet customizable so it’s perfect for beginners. Overall amazing!!!.Version: 2.5.2

Great appUsed many a different app. Loved this because it’s simple, no cost, no ads, just straight to the point. Beautiful UI too!.Version: 2.5.2

Wonderful. Just simply wonderful.I have tried other meditation apps, and I too, disagree with profiting from helping people meditate and finding joy within themselves, so when this app popped up, I decided to try it. I manage three types of depression, anxiety, and a personality disorder and have been in all kinds of therapies for years. The Loving Kindness meditation was the first I tried and it blew me away. Sometimes I forget that while I want these things for others and myself, actually meditating and naming them brings a deeper connection to that meaning and a jump start to giving that love and compassion when I leave the house. I love the simplicity of the interface, the quotes, and the “no muss no fuss”. This is a keeper, and by far, the best meditation app I’ve tried. Give it a go, and be free my friends. ♥️.Version: 2.5.1

The best! The only mediation app I needLove this app. Beautiful layout. This app has all the tools you need for meditation, breathing exercises, and even progress tracking. I appreciate the free access to the things I need unlike all the other apps trying to sell subscriptions. I’ve deleted all my other meditation apps because this is the only app I need! Amazing amazing, thank you for this app! Job well done..Version: 2.5.2

This is REALLY ok.As a teenager, I always feel so busy even though I’m on summer break I feel like I want to stick to myself and get a little angry when I have to do a chore or something else similar to that because I watching memes and the such. However since I recently got injured with a couple knee fractures I have been feeling so anxious to have my surgery completed and begin walking again. (Especially because I like skiing in the winter and don’t wanna miss out on that.) Then I thought about trying meditation and turns out after finding the right pick for me that had simple 10-15 sessions where I could truly relax and have full awareness of my breathing without having to stress my breathing by inhaling for a long time. Also it had to be at no cost because I don’t wanna buy something to relax I want pay by giving my time to use a service and then 💥 bam you got a new downloader of your app. 8/10 would recommend..Version: 2.5.1

Best Free Meditation App!I absolutely love this meditation app. I wanted something simple but with options that wasn’t going to cost me, after searching through quite a few meditation apps I found Oak and am impressed by the content and variety given in a free app. I have never once had an issue with it - everything runs smoothly & the guided meditation voices are actually soothing. I have noticed my anxiety levels gone down and sleep has improved. I seriously wish there was an upgrade available that would unlock more guided meditations & other breathing or sleep sessions. This is one app I WOULD pay for. Please come out with more! 🙏🏻.Version: 2.3.1

My favourite meditation app by farI absolutely love this app! I love that it’s free and I can adjust the length of the sessions, the background music and whether or not I want a narrator. The versatility is great! I love the breathing exercises as well. Would 100% recommend this app!’.Version: 2.5.1

WonderfulI used headspace for years and while I loved it, it’s high subscription costs really wore thin over time. Oak, in comparison, is simple, approachable and free. I love the design, love the breathing exercises and background sounds that I’ve started listening to as I go to sleep. Haven’t tried the meditations yet as prefer an unstructured approach (mainly breathing exercises as needed throughout the day and meditating unaided as desired). Great work, Oak is beautifully developed and well thought out. Thank you..Version: 2.2

Works perfectly for me!I am new to meditation — one could say I’m probably new to calming my racing mind too. I am uncomfortable having a live meditation coach (or exercise buddy or any other type of personal trainer). I travel extensively and need reminders and the portability of an app to keep me on track. I’m goal-oriented, so earning badges and maintaining streaks keeps me motivated. This Oak App is perfect for me! I started out with just the breathing exercises — anyone can breathe, right? Then tried a few meditation practices. I just did the Loving Kindness meditation for the first time and loved it — that’s what prompted me to write this review! And they’ve just added some Sleep exercises/functions that I can’t wait to try! Thanks for building such a great app — the world would be a much better place if everyone could just meditate for even 10 minutes a day! “May you be happy. May you be healthy. May you be at peace.”.Version: 2.1

Perfect!I love this app! I’ve had it for probably over a year now, and its simplicity and power both blow me away! I love how it doesn’t tell you how long to breath for on the meditation parts, and I love the variety of different background sounds you can choose from. I’m starting to use the “Loving Kindness” feature, and it’s making me hate my roommates a lot less! I have nothing to criticize about this app. ❤️.Version: 2.3.1

New at meditationOak helped me to learn how to meditate with just enough guidance to not be invasive. I feel as if I’ve travelled to a magical place and now that I’m back, I feel calm, focused and excited about life..Version: 1.3.0

Bye bye Insomnia! For the first time in my 61 years I am now able to get to sleep within 1/2 of going to bed. Most of my life, from early childhood up to initially getting and using this app, I would be lucky to average 2 to 4hours sleep nightly. Since trying this app I am able to get to sleep within 15 to 20 minutes after using ty app. I sleep soundly for at least 6 to 8 hours! On very rare occasions I have a bad night, but these are getting fewer and further between. To the developers I say thank you so much for producing an excellent app, and for keeping it free for those of us who are struggling financially. Love your work, and your understanding that not everyone is financially well off. I happily recommend your app to friends and family..Version: 1.3.0

Amazing!Best meditation app I’ve come across. Benefits all round! Wish I found it earlier.Version: 1.3.0

Oak ReviewAs someone who is tense from college work and the current world state, this app helps greatly. I often find myself anxious during the day about my stress and workload and get headaches from tension in my body because of this. This app helps me relax efficiently in a reasonable time and is something I would recommend using at least once a day. I really enjoy the guidance during the sessions because it keeps me focused yet relaxed. The breathing techniques are useful because it not only grounds you when you become anxious but works with your parasympathetic nervous system when you want to come down from anxiety by slowing your breathing, unlike when you are anxious and have rapid breathing which send you into fight or flight mode..Version: 2.5.2

My favourite meditation appThis app is great. The only downside is after the meditation finishes there’s a screen with a quote but if you hit finish or log extra time it disappears and I can’t see how to go back to it. I always forget and hit log to stop the extra timer to be accurate and then realise I didn’t read the quote..Version: 2.5.1

Amazing AppThis is probably one of the only free apps that actually is free and also has a use for it. I love this app.Version: 2.5.2

Perfection in SimplicityI absolutely love this app. It's been the only meditation app I keep coming back to, because of how simple its design is, how easy it is to use, and how no-nonsense it is. The only reason I take off one star is it reset all my progress (streaks, not my actual "level") a little while ago, and I can't find a way to restore them other than rebuilding them up. But that is okay, this is still by far the best meditation app out there..Version: 2.5.2

Amazing Breathing ExercisesVery helpful app. Please provide watch version of App too. Thanks.Version: 2.5.2

Simple and cleanI love this app because it does exactly what it says. I love that I can set an unguided session with ambient sounds and have the chime bring me back or refocus my thought and can set it to how I like. Clean, simple and easy..Version: 2.5.1

Amazing mental health appI suffer from a brain condition, that causes my conscious and subconscious to become disconnected, giving me headaches, a constant body twitch, and causing me to be constantly tired. This app really helps me to forget about everything that’s going on, and sort out my jumbled thoughts. It is also the only meditation app that I’ve tried, which makes it easier for me to sleep. Each meditation serves its purpose extremely well, the badges and backgrounds are beautiful and calming. I love this app, and I will continue to use it to help treat my condition, and to relax, and feel good!.Version: 2.1

Beautiful appIt is elegant and effective. I have tried so many meditation and breath apps. It’s obvious that the creators of this app have a personal practice and a heart to serve others on their journey. Well done team I love it! And thank you..Version: 2.5.2

Awesome, but not the best for AirPods / sleepingI love the unguided meditations. I leave rain sounds on for 45 minutes or so while I go to sleep. The problem is at the end of the 45 minutes; the app continues to play the rain noise, as it’s waiting for a prompt. Wirh AirPods, the app will drain their battery after 3 hours. Another issue, is that if you are half asleep, say after an hour; and take the AirPods out, it would normally pause playback, but the sound will divert and spew out of the phone itself, waking your partner and making them ages at you, kind of unsettling lol. Finally; I had a baaaad time when my AirPods were almost fully drained but still playing sound; and my cat knocked them out of the spot where I placed them, and I spent the day thinking she had eaten one of them. All because the Oak app was waiting for a prompt from me to end the session hah. Anyway, just a minor gripe: I really love it - so still use it just with normal headphones!.Version: 2.5.1

Best Mindfulness App on the AppStoreI’ve used a variety of Mindfulness Apps hoping that it would become an integral part of my daily life. However, most apps are cluttered or have a subscription based business model. However. Oak is the complete opposite of that. The design is simply aesthetically pleasing and I can see the hard work that the developer put it into crafting a beautifully designed yet minimal app. Just wanted I needed! The creator’s focus is clearly on providing a high quality mindfulness app to the market rather than earning profit(Headspace/Calm). I highly recommend this app. The Best Mindfulness App on the AppStore. Kudos to the AppStore Team for promoting it as the one of the Best New Apps..Version: 2.0.1

Oak just gets it right!Oak is the only meditation app I've found that works for me. I'm the diehard skeptic of all things airy-fairy, alternative or "new age"! Never thought anything remotely mindful, spiritual or meditation-like could ever work for me...until I tried Oak! Oak gets it right..Version: 1.3.0

Love this meditation app!I originally downloaded Oak as a meditation timer. From what is shown in the description, I liked the aesthetics and customisation possibilities. Just coming back to meditation after a long time out of practice, I didn’t know if I would be able to stick with it so I didn’t want paywall distractions or confusing options. After 100+ days straight of morning meditation (and breath work!), I feel it’s safe to say Oak has been a phenomenal start to my day and a wonderful addition to my routine. I started with 5 minutes unguided and worked my way up to 15 minutes. I am planning on increasing to 20 minutes when I hit my 200th day of practice. Oak has become part of my daily rituals and I am grateful for it. Thank you!.Version: 2.5.2

Love this app!I love this app! It great for beginners in meditation, and also even better for a long time meditator! I only wish there where more meditations, as I have listened to each one and don’t want to pay of the corse… I have tried LOADS of apps to help me go to sleep, as some times I can get really bad insomnia, and Oak was the only free one! I think all mediation apps should be free, because it shouldn’t cost you money to get the rest your body needs, or simply to relax your mind. Great app, would totally recommend!.Version: 2.5.1

Great app, helping me to improve every daySimple and elegant! It’s helping me to transform my life. The included content is high quality and probably all I need, but I think I’d enjoy some new content updates, such as new courses or meditation styles and would pay for them (no subscriptions please!). This app, though, is free and it’s already terrific as-is… maybe it’s best just to leave a good thing alone..Version: 2.5.2

Great App for Grounding and Releasing TensionMeditation has never been my strong point, until downloading this app. I am now able to find a focus point to breathe and find peace as well as inner balance. The only thing I would complain about is there is not enough options for breath work or meditations. I understand there may only be what is available/found to work, but it would be great to have more of a choice to work with as the same programme each night can get quite tiring..Version: 2.5.2

Excellent in a time of CrisisOak is excellent in a time of crisis such as the global pandemic of coronavirus. There aren’t any annoying ads and has ambient colours to calm the mind. It also doesn’t push you to buy anything and the free version covers everything you could need. I would definitely recommend this app for everyone in this time of crisis as it really helps you to calm down and forget what’s happening in the world for a few moments. Get this app if you are worried about anything and it will make your mindset more relaxed and calm you down completely..Version: 2.5.1

My Mediation App NowI’ve gone back and forth between tons of the meditation apps out there. After I got this app, I deleted all the other apps on my phone. I love that Oak is very simple. I find myself meditating more. And I never feel like I’m doing anything wrong or overthinking what the person is saying. It’s just simple. Only suggestion I have is being able to have a bell or chime at the end of an unguided meditation. I always feel myself not knowing when to stop when I’m only able to fit in 5 or 10 minutes in the morning. Other than that, this is by far the best meditation app out there. Especially because of the breathing exercises!.Version: 1.3.0

NoiceA clean and simple app that knows what it wants to be. The design choices purchase it an intuitive space that allows the app to get out of the way while it decreases the friction in beginning or picking up your practice. My only (admittedly petty, ego driven and self interested) qualm is that the streak ends when the day ends and not 24 hours after the last meditation. I practice at night, so if I go to bed late I can’t text my enlightened meditation e-peen combo to my friends and enemies. Perhaps when they’ll see me levitating down the street while they’re walking they’ll know I’m on a hot one..Version: 2.5.2

The best meditation appThis is an app that I highly recommend due to how it is free and how there are different sessions you can do and repeat. In the ‘meditate’ section, you can do a guided meditation to start off with and then when you feel happy you can move onto the unguided. There are two guided options to choose from, either mindful (to relax and get rid of stress) or a meditation for gratitude, to make you happy. In the ‘breathe’ section it guides you in your breathing to maximise your focus and also helps you to relax. There are different types of breathing techniques you can try to suit you. Finally there is the section to help you sleep, which consists of relaxing sounds and a breathing technique to help you sleep. I used to suffer from insomnia but I don’t anymore because of this! I have tried many mindfulness apps but I have only kept this one since there are no restrictions in terms of getting a ‘premium’ or anything like that. Would fully recommend and a suggestion for an update would be to have more reminders and alarms etc to make sure the user practices daily and gets into the habit of using oak. Overall a fantastic app 😍.Version: 2.3.1

Best thingI’ve been using this for a long time I’m a student and it’s great when I have exams coming up and I feel a little overwhelmed this has been a really helpful way to clear my head would totally recommend to anyone who wants and easy way to meditate.Version: 2.5.2

Love it!!!I love this app, but I wish it had an Apple Watch app.Version: 2.5.2

Thus far, the BESTThank you to whatever selfless angel created this app, because from what I can tell it’s not trying to sell me anything or get anything from me, it’s only helping - what a beautiful gift. So intuitive, clean and simple, no bells and whistles just very helpful courses and tools to centre oneself. And the narrator has the most soothing voice of all the apps I’ve tried. Thank you🙏.Version: 2.5.2

SuperbI’ve been using Oak since v1 and it instantly became my go to meditation app. I really like that you’re doing the same session over and over, and this is much simpler and sets a routine that makes it much easier to get into. Also, I just learnt today that it syncs your progress beautifully between devices which is a double thumbs up. In terms of technology, I’d love to see Siri Shortcut support added, to make it super easy to begin a session from a HomePod. Very happy to recommend this app to all my friends..Version: 2.4.0

Love this app!Simple, effective and free. Three qualities that other apps don't have. I suffer from anxiety, and just the thought of having to choose a payment plan or even a type of meditation practice among dozens is daunting on some days. With oak, I just chose whether to do a breathing exercise or my meditation practice and it's all good! If I have 2 suggestions for the developers, it would be to make a mode where is doesn't track "streaks" (I think badges are fine because they help with getting a sense of progress) and make the app compatible with older versions of iOS as much as possible..Version: 2.3.1

Very good mindfulness / mediation app! This is a great app for people wanting to check out mindfulness meditation. There is also a "loving kindness" meditation included. The app also includes guided breathing exercises, great for managing stress or anxiety. Ideal for beginners, but you can keep using it for years also. Perfect for anyone wanting to try mediation without having to pay a lot of money. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.5.2

Simple App - Just what I needWhen I need to stay calm and unwind, having too many options to choose from can have the opposite effect. Though so, if there were more BG tracks other than water-related ones, it would be fantastic. Fairly straightforward and easy to navigate. I really enjoyed the guided sleep mediation which is the one I use mostly, and breathing techniques are spot on - never realise when I fall asleep because the app does what it does! Developers could possible have an update for different narrators so that users can change things up once in a while. And it’s free, so no harm giving it a go!.Version: 2.5.1

Best app for Transcendental MeditationThis is a super simple but effective meditation app and the best app for Transcendental Meditation I’ve used. Easy controls, the ability to do unguided meditation and even tells you how long extra you’ve been going after your 20 minutes so you can get a nice 2 - 5 minute come up. The breath feature is very nice and adore the wisdom feature which gives little sound clips or videos on the philosophy of meditation - I hope more is added soon though! ;) I’d happily pay for this if it cost money - but it didn’t, it was free!.Version: 1.1.0

Keeping it simpleIt’s ever such a simple and elegant app. I’ve found it way more useful than any other mindfulness app I’ve tried so far - I need mindfulness to help me manage and I’ve found this makes me WANT to practice... many others are over-busy, over-complicated, too many choices, too much information, menus etc...flying in the face of needing calm. This app is peaceful because it’s stripped back. It’s free and at first glance you don’t seem to get much and I was discouraged thinking I would have to supplement it, but I find that what’s there works really well for me BECAUSE it’s simple. Definitely recommend to others. Guided by naturally soothing voices. Perfect fit for me! Thank you to the creators, really makes a difference to my daily life..Version: 2.3.1

New to MeditationHaving never tried Meditation before I found Oaks to be a great way to get started without being overwhelmed of having to commit right away via a subscription. I can see that the app will grow as I learn more about mediation. I really like the Oaks tree growing the more sessions completed. The gamification aspect makes me want to keep coming back..Version: 1.1.0

Brilliant App!I can’t express how much I love this app. It’s extremely useful for all age groups, and very convenient since everything is free (including the ‘10 Day Mantra’ course as of lately). ☺️ Definitely recommend this app for beginner all the way up to intermediate meditators!.Version: 2.5.2

PerfectJust perfect - this is what a meditation app should be - simple. It doesn’t have a million different options like many other apps, and for me this is a huge plus. Additionally, Oak doesn’t have a monthly subscription (I’m happy to buy one off courses, but hate the pressure of monthly payments for an app) Never change, Oak <3.Version: 2.5.1

Best meditation appLove that the oak tree grows a little each time you mediate. Best guided mediation I have tried and the breathing exercises are amazing! You will feel like a Jedi, try it..Version: 1.0.0

Great QUIET Meditation appBeen practicing meditation for over forty years and teach mindfulness in a a large urban hospital. 🌱Lots of apps are either too fussy or too busily social and Facebook/Twitter-like (more distraction then needed for true meditation practice. I like that I can focus just on what my mind is doing without the pull and destruction of a million choices. Love the simplicity and seemingly quiet emptiness of the application as background to practice not foreground of it. This app is lovely. Simple design. 🌱A tree grows as you progress in your practice. Which is a nice symbol for reminding a new meditator they are nurturing their life by tending to the garden of the mind. .🌿 No muss no fuss— just you and a great un-intrusive and zen-like tool for learning and aiding your meditation practice. 🌿 Highly recommend it. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.Version: 2.5.2

Great design. Great exercises. And it's completely free.I've used this app for years. It's easy to use. The three different breathing exercises are all really great to know and use in different situations. The mantra meditation course is really awesome and it seems like they make subtle updates to the voices over time. I just re-started the mantra course after doing it a few years ago and it sounded a little different to me which was kinda cool! And there's also just a background noise setting which I use for my partner who likes to have white noise while she sleeps. And it's all free. What's not to love..Version: 2.5.2

The best app ever!!!Cannot believe this has everything I want and it’s free! Guided meditation has made this practice become my daily habit. I love the guided breath the most, it’s made a huge difference to my life. Highly recommend!!!.Version: 2.5.2

Excellent simple meditation appA straight to the point meditation app, with the right options and no frills. Really helps unlock the mind. Background sound options are great. Did not try the learn to meditate sections, so do not know how appropriate this is for beginners..Version: 1.1.0

Meditation AND Breathing in an easy to follow formatThe guided meditation within this app is excellent, with both a male and female guide available as well as a large library of white noise (all recorded at the source, no synthetic sounds) available. Also, a nice surprise is the breathing exercises section, I really find these useful and can be performed in a minute or less. And, if I’m feeling too anxious to meditate I find after a few breathing exercises I feel a whole lot better and usually end up going for the meditation as well. Love your work Kevin Rose and team 💪.Version: 1.1.0

Thank youI am so grateful for this app. It has helped me so much through long chronic and painful illness. Thank you to the makers of this app. It is a great help to me on the contemplative path and a daily session - I practice lesson 8 in the mantra course almost daily - influences me in my reactions and responses throughout my day. Thank you again and may our Father bless you in your work..Version: 2.5.2

BrilliantI have adhd and chronic insomnia so i find getting to sleep nearly impossible this set of guided breathing gets me to knock out consistently in less than half an hour. the other meditation practises are all lovely and very calming and the mantra meditation course is brilliant. i’m obsessed.Version: 2.5.2

Simple mais efficaceMerci pour cette application simple mais efficace. Je médite depuis plusieurs années et c’est toujours agréable de découvrir différentes méthodes..Version: 2.5.2

For real it’s freeMuch to my dismay lots of apps are now doing subscription-based services - Oak isn’t Oak is giving out actually good mediation programs for free. And as someone who usually finds mediation unhelpful this app is a Godsend, I actually felt calm and relaxed after the mediation..Version: 2.4.1

Best non-costing app I have ever usedThis app is amazing and really works ☺️. Thank you for creating such a great app..Version: 2.4.1

My personal favorite meditation app.I’ve been using this as a beta tester the past few months, and it’s been my go to meditation app. I’ve tried Calm, and Headspace before and found that while they are also great, they left something to be desired. First thing I like about it is it’s options to either have your handheld with a guided meditation (I used this at the beginning) then having the option to turn the voice off (which I found to be distracting after awhile) and just having sounds play ambiently in the background with a chime playing everything minute to remind you to come back to your breath when you get distracted. (The chime can also be turned off) Second, the audio snippets of Alan watts talking about the purpose of meditation are excellent mental Framings before or after meditating. Third, save extra time! I love this feature, it becomes a game you can play too see how much time you can accrue before you inevitably get restless. All in all, check it out! I use it daily..Version: 1.0.0

ReliableLove this app. I have been using for 2 years almost daily, reliable and free......Version: 2.5.2

Best Meditation AppThis app is designed beautifully and doesn’t pressure you to buy up in order to have a good experience. The app teaches you a variety of meditation techniques if you’d like them and has both guided and unguided meditations which is a very good tool for all who meditate. This app has a leveling process based on how many sessions you complete, but it strips all the competition and bs away. It allows meditation to be what it’s supposed to be, a journey that you take into yourself to cultivate a sense of self understanding and peace that can then be brought out into the world as a beacon of light for others who may be looking for that same sense of peace..Version: 2.5.2

The one actually free meditation appI love that I can gain access to some amazing and hugely beneficial meditation exercises for free, with no messages hassling you to buy the “premium version” or anything. There are courses you can buy, but judging on the quality of material I’ve experienced so far, they’re probably worth your money. Fantastic app..Version: 2.5.1

GreatThis app is all you need. Don’t waste your time with paying a subscription.Version: 2.5.2

Nice and simpleI really like this meditation timer, it’s got just what I need without needless features to complicate things , unlike some other timers that have become too commercialised and one in particular with pictures of people is getting like Facebook which to me is exactly the opposite of what a meditation timer should be. Hope is doesn’t change and get spoilt but for now is just what I want, thanks guys 👍.Version: 2.5.1

Good appVery nice design and the guidance they give for meditation is clear and easy to follow, I hope I will feel better after more practices. Also the growth feature is motivating, I’m lucky to have this completely free app..Version: 2.3.1

Dark modeI would love to see a dark mode implemented to this app. I often use this app in the evening and it’s a little harsh on the eyes just before bedtime. It still deserves a five star rating though!.Version: 2.5.2

Love itttttAbsolutely in love with your application. Its so nice and smooth, and I love your music. Im hoping sometime soon tho, can you please add more meditations and meditation courses? Ive tried many other applications and you are finally one i am comfortable with. I want to learn meditation techniques such as the course you put “mantra meditation” and I'm looking forward to trying. Im looking forward to courses of different types of meditation practices simply to learn so much more in meditation and experience more. P.S. can you please find a slightly calmer way for the guided meditations? I tried the female love and kindness and i loved it, but i have some comments if you are interested..Version: 2.5.1

Everyone needs this! What a fantastic app. I have been using this for a couple of weeks and the tightness in my stomach from stress has slowly gone! If I feel it coming back I just do one of the breathing exercises for as little as 40 seconds. I can’t believe I haven’t had to pay anything for this! If you are looking for something to help you relax do not hesitate in downloading this..Version: 2.5.2

ExcellentAwesome💥 and I highly recommend this to others..Version: 1.3.0

Awesome way to unwind! This app is really a great way to unwind after a stressful day! I’ve recommended it to so many friends. Perfect for exam season or any stressful time. I also love how it keeps track of your time spent meditating and the breaths you’ve done. It’s really cool to be able to look back on my journey over time. The only thing I would like to see more of is more meditation and sleep courses, because the ones currently on the app are awesome..Version: 2.5.2

Recommend!!I have only had Oak for a few days and I will recommend this app to my friends and family. There are a lot of options on the style of meditation you want and can help you fall asleep as well. Meditation really helps and I feel a lot less stressed when I use it. If you are thinking of getting this you definitely should! :).Version: 2.2

Simple yet amazingThis is by far one of the best meditation apps out there and is free!.Version: 2.5.2

I LOVE oakI love oak... and here’s why. I’ve never been a meditator. I didn’t want to spend time and money on an app I used once in a blue moon. I love that oak is free, and doesn’t have a plus or premium addition (I never liked the idea of paying for meditation). If I were to change one thing, it would be that it’s hard to hear the background noises. I wish there was a way to adjust the background noises separate from the guides voice. I love this app, and I would highly recommend it for those that are interested in meditating, skeptical, are trying to get back into it, or have been doing it for years..Version: 2.4.1

You guys did it!I am finally meditating daily. And I had no idea how much impact the 4-7-8 breathing would have in my life. Such a great and simple app. Thanks so much Kevin and team. Cheers.Version: 1.3.0

Oak - A meditation appI’m fourteen and autistic and have ADHD. Oak has made a huge difference to my behaviour and my reactions to situations are much calmer than before. Thanks to Oak, I’m no longer on my atomoxitine because it’s allowed me to become a much more relaxed and happy person. Oak is an amazing meditation app. With no premium, it offers loads of unpaid features for you to use over and over again. Two mindfulness options - Meditate and Breathe. Meditate allows you to choose between unguided and guided meditation with a choice of a Male or Female guide and the sound you want to use. You also have the option to have a completely custom time for unguided (1min - 23hrs59mins) and a choices of 5minute intervals between 10 and 30 mins for guided. Breathe has 3 different modes: Deep Calm, Box and Awake. These are three different methods of breathing to help with three situations..Version: 1.3.0

SO WORTH IT!!!!!!👌🏼This app has helped me in so many ways it educates you without being to overwhelming and it's so customisable! Soooo many other yoga/meditation apps I looked at had a cost behind them when you join but not this one! There is a little extra bit you can buy but it's nothing in the main area at all and in the recent update it's free! 💕.Version: 2.5.2

AMAZING!This is by far the best meditation app out there. I love how it’s completely free. Well you have the option to pay for a course but there’s no subscription fee. I paid for the mantra course and I don’t regret spending $6 for it. It was worth every single penny. I hate meditating, but this app got me hooked. I meditate everyday now. I feel refreshed and relaxed once my mediation session is over. All the mediation guides on this app are soothing and very calming. There might not be a wide variety of choices to pick from, because there’s only a few. But personally I think it’s better this way. All the other apps have thousands to choose from that it’s too overwhelming that I don’t feel like meditating. This app has helped me extremely with my stress and anxiety that I’ve had over the COVID-19 situation. It’s a marvelous app, and its amazing how there’s no fee. Just try it, because I promise that you’ll love it too. All those positive reviews are definitely not fake, they’re real..Version: 2.5.1

FantasticI have used a few different meditation apps and this is by far the best. Simple, yet lacking nothing. The breathing and wisdom sections is are a great bonus..Version: 1.1.0

Almost FlawlessI love this app! It’s elegant, simple, and has just what I need without overwhelming me with unnecessary options. I’ve been using it for a while and recommend it over literally all the paid meditation apps out there. Recently, it does have me worried that little things seem to not be working. I had a streak that just disappeared (not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but still sad to see it happen) and I’ve also noticed that the mantra meditation course isn’t working for me anymore. It’s all gone back to “Locked” even though I’ve worked through it all and I can’t find a way to access it anymore. The app still works overall and my streak counter is building again, but noticing that the last update to the app was a few years ago I worry it may be at risk of breaking as Apple keeps updating its iOS..Version: 2.5.2

Almost There... (add Chromecast support)I have tried one other meditation app and I liked it but couldn't afford the monthly cost. I trust Kevin Rose and so when he announced this app I jumped at it. To begin with, this needs Chromecast support. I am fairly new to meditation so I really appreciate when there is guided meditation as it helps me focus on what I am supposed to be focused on. This app starts off wonderfully but I feel that more tutorials would help for those of us new to meditating. I love the "Wisdom" section and hope to see more use in this department. If you can't find audio wisdom, I recommend Kevin recording some quotes from where ever. It's a quirky little feature that I like. I know I saw, when I first tried it, a way to see how many people are on at once but I can't seem to find it anymore. Overall good but not great. Keep it up and definitely ADD CHROMECAST SUPPORT!.Version: 1.1.0

Forget all the other meditation appsThis one is all you need. It has guided and unguided meditations, highly customisable, it looks so slick, and no adds..Version: 2.2

Love this appI don’t think I’ve ever written a review before but I love this app and use it most nights to get to sleep! My only advice (for the guided sleep meditation) would be that when there’s a break between the guided voice and just your background sound is playing, when the voice speaks again, it could be a bit softer or fade in. I find my self sometimes startled as I’m drifting off and the lady begins to talk. I would also love if it would track some sort of stats for sleep like it does with the meditation and breathing. I love this app and despite what I’ve written, I can hardly fault it..Version: 2.3.1

Beautifully designedThe app is amazing! It has enough calming and mindful meditations. The design is beautiful and it’s hard to believe that this app is for free.Version: 2.5.2

This app is my refuge right nowWith all that is going on right now, I decided to try again with meditation. I’ve tried a bunch of times, with various apps in the past, and never really clicked with it. I don’t know why I love this app so much...but it really works for me. I love that I can choose the background sound. I love the voice of the narrator. When I feel overwhelmed by the news, I take ten minutes and do the first guided meditation, and immediately feel more centered and at peace. Thank you for making this app, and thank you for making it free right now. I almost never leave app reviews, but this one has measurably improved my life the past couple weeks. If an app can change a life, then I would put this one on the list. ❤️.Version: 2.5.2

Great AppThis is a wonderful little meditation app. It’s very simple it that’s what meditation should be. This app gives a little guidance and then gives you the option to create an unguided meditation to suit your preferences. There are also breathing exercises and sounds to help with sleep. One of the best things with this app is it’s not always asking for subscriptions or to buy in app purchases. You can just download and your good to go. The one in app purchase that is available is the mantra course. This is well worth it if you want a little guidance into how to learn mantra meditation. Then when you finish it you can also practice this in the unguided section. All in all a great app that doesn’t require you to break the bank. It would be great if in the future more courses could be made available but for now enjoy it for what it is a great app..Version: 2.5.2

Thank you!Whoever created this app thank you, thank you, thank you! This app is aesthetically appealing, I love the minimalistic look to it. When I want to mediate the last thing I want to do is busy my mind with a lot of moving parts or tracking variables, and this app design helps that. I’ve used other apps that make you pay a ridiculous amount to use them and that are heavily promoted on social media and radio but I usually was never able to get into the flow of the meditation. Maybe because there was one more reoccurring fee coming out of my bank account. I like that this app doesn’t have so many different selections it’s straight and to the point and has makes me want to meditate more. I’d gladly pay a one time fee for this app but the fact that it’s free is amazing and a blessing. Anyway if the developer ever accepts donations I’d gladly donate as a thank you for allowing me to train myself to be still and to BREATH..Version: 2.5.1

Honestly change my lifeI have began using this app every morning and night and it has made me a calmer happier person, I know that sounds crazy I’m not someone who believes an app can do that. It helped me find a calm place in my mind I can go when I’m stressed or upset bring me back to my self. The loving guided meditation brought me to tears tonight and that’s why I’m writing this right now it asks you to find someone who means a lot to you and wish the health happiness and peace and my mom care to my mind. My mom is the last person I thought I would have thought about but she was the first to pop up and as I repeated the phrases I saw her happy and healthy and it made me happy. If you want to get into meditation this is a way to do it and it’s free no subscriptions at all it’s amazing truly..Version: 2.3.1

The Best Meditation AppSimple, uncluttered, and a joy to use!.Version: 2.5.2

Great Customer ServiceNot only is this a great app to use to meditate if you ever have any problems or anything they have a team is super friendly members that want to help you out. I would recommend this for sure..Version: 2.5.2

Best by farI love this app it is a very calming app and makes me feel relaxed in minutes. I love using it while having a diffuser on and when I feel out of breath because I am an asthmatic I use this app to get in breath again. I can’t believe it is free from the App Store it is such a great app and I love how it has a timer in the breathe one because now I know when to start and stop! It is a great way to start the day or end the day!!!!! thank You Oak♥️♥️♥️.Version: 2.5.1

Beautifully simpleAs a new user of any meditation and mindfulness apps, I found the Oak app to be beautifully created and simple to use. I see that apparently it can link to the Apple Health app yet can’t seem to find out how? Please can someone advise..Version: 2.5.2

Great for Light SleepersI've been using Oak for 3 years, and the quality of this app still amazes me. I'm a light sleeper, so whenever I hear loud sounds before bed, I open Oak and turn up the volume. The app has really unique and immersive sounds that help you focus on breathing. You can cycle through different sounds depending on what you need to block out. So far, it's worked on coughing roommates, snoring dogs, airplanes, and loud neighbors (earbuds recommended). Oak really is the next best thing to noise-canceling headphones. Also, I don't mediate daily, but the "Awake" breathing technique has helped me not fall asleep in class. Honestly grateful for every good night's sleep I've had through Oak..Version: 2.5.2

Really nice and helpful!I never really understood what meditation was or how I would go about it (like the concept of just sitting with your eyes closed was foreign to me because how could you not think about anything?) but this app was recommended to me by a friend and so I thought to try it out. I haven’t branched out with the other methods yet, as I’ve been using Mindful Meditate for a while now as a beginner, but it’s been an amazing experience. I’m so grateful that this was my true introduction to meditation, and I don’t know where I’d be without this app: the guide really helps to center myself, and it made me realize that meditation is definitely less daunting than I thought..Version: 2.5.2

Background too brightI used the v2 app for the first time today, June 15, 2018, the day it was released. I miss the calming darker blue background with white clock numbers. I meditate in a low light environment. The new lighter (white) background is too bright. When I open my eyes to check the countdown timer, it hurts my eyes and the thin-lined black clock numbers are hard to read. Also, when I close my eyes again, I still see the photo image for a few seconds. This brightness is counter intuitive to relaxation. I do like that the makers kept my previous data and that they fixed the breathing counter to go higher than 1k. UPDATE: July 10, 2018 - I have been manually adjusting the brightness on my iPad app each time I use it and am very happy with the results. I highly recommend it his app often to friends and family. UPDATE Oct 14, 2018: FYI, the “Growth” section is not opening. There might be a glitch. It has been this way for a couple of weeks..Version: 2.3

New found love of meditationFor a long, long time now I’ve been wanting to regularly practice meditation. I’d never manage to find the time. I’ve had this app for years and found it useful, but didn’t use it everyday. When Covid-19 hit they made the course FREE. And with nothing time on my hands it was the perfect opportunity to dive in. I’m so glad I did. Their course is fantastic. Even after completing it, I often revisit certain days if I’m feeling the need for guidance in my practice. Now, when I don’t manage to meditate for a few days, I notice the difference. I’m just doing 15-20 mins either first thing in the morning or just before bed. It’s helped to calm my mind and help me feel more in control of my day - not just during the meditation but throughout the day..Version: 2.5.2

Clear & simple w/o feesOak is a great app for meditation. Especially for beginners. Clear and simple. No fees. Although, the privacy policy could have been friendlier. Still five stars..Version: 2.5.1

Best meditation app for allThis is the best overall meditation app I’ve used. It’s great for beginners, but more importantly for me it’s great for intermediate meditators. My favourite feature is the unguided mediation with the timers..Version: 1.0.0

The Best Meditation AppThis is the best meditation app that I’ve found. It’s free and there aren’t any in-app purchases needed to get the full benefits of the app. I particularly enjoy that you can customise the meditation you choose; whether that be gender of the guiding voice, background sounds or length of meditation. I only have one suggestion for improvement and that is just for another couple of meditation options. I would absolutely love a body scan option on here too. Other than that, this app is excellent and faultless..Version: 2.5.1

Love100% free and no ads! I’ve been using this app for years and I absolutely love it. Use it every single night to sleep, can’t sleep without it..Version: 2.5.2

Great app for relaxation and freeI have tried Headspace and Insight timer before. I liked Headspace but it’s too expensive for me.. insight timer is also free but I find that having too many meditation gurus can be overwhelming and i can’t decide on who to follow. Some can also be applying their religious beliefs in their guides. This app is super easy to use, nice user interface, and free!.Version: 1.3.0

Truly Love ItThis is everything I was looking for. A clean, simple, pleasant interface, with a system that I truly feel is accommodating for meditation. I like to take time after guided sessions to relax and let my mind wander, and I was delighted to discover that background noise continues uninterrupted for as long as you like, without the somewhat jarring cutoff that occurs in other apps I’ve tried. No disrupting ads or premium exclusive features. Everyone has their own preferences, but I believe that this app could be appealing to anyone. So glad to have found this. Thank you; this is a true gem!.Version: 2.2

Oak is a great app!I think this is on of the best apps i love doing a nice breathing class in the morning and the night and love the great sounds you can pick out and how you can make list of your day!I just wish you didn’t have to pay for pro though.Version: 2.5.2

✌🏻If you love ✌🏻you will love this APP.Version: 2.5.2

Perfect app for making breathing part of my daily routineWent out of my way to review this app because I enjoy it so much. Why? It’s extremely simple and I don’t feel like I’m being sold or anything nor trying to navigate a feature-dense platform trying to do too many things at once. I’ve had experiences using meditation apps where in the middle I’m being served a video ad, which, to me, has to be the antithesis of meditation. I use this app 3+ times per day for brief breathing sessions and it improves my mood, focus, and happiness on a daily basis. Highly recommend for someone who wants a simple, but effective app for making breathing part of their daily routine. The creators of this app clearly are in the business of helping users benefit from the power of mindfulness, not trying to sell ad space for money..Version: 2.5.2

Awesome!!I definitely recommend this app. From the bottom of my heart, only a couple days of this has done a world of difference for me that I found difficult with other meditation apps. This app does a smooth and comfortable job at creating a loving atmosphere, an engagement and enjoyment to keep you in the habit of meditation, not to mention a user friendly interface; the list goes on. I’ve watched my happiness, calmness and creativity go up with this app bit by bit, and am excited to see that continue. It is clear this app had extensive thought and kindness put into it, and I highly suggest trying it out..Version: 2.5.2

Best meditation appThis app seems to be mostly free. I don’t remember needing to create an account. There are no ads. No options to upgrade to a “premium” version. The interface is so simple and easy to use. There are just enough choices for meditations and breath work. The number of breaths, amount of time, and background noise can be adjusted. I get overwhelmed by too many choices on other mediation apps. The only thing I don’t care about is the “community” section and the streaks count. Oh also, it would be cool if there were a watch version of the app, and also a widget for the phone. But those are not huge problems..Version: 2.5.2

Simple but effectiveI’m learning to cope with hearing loss and 24/7 tinnitus. By taking time out just to breathe, when I feel frustrated or just overwhelmed, I’m learning to cope with a changing situation. The app is simple but provides an effective way to undertake a breathe session with more options than the inbuilt Apple Watch Breathe app. Any plans to support Apple Watch so I do not need to use my iPhone to trigger a breathe session?.Version: 2.5.1

Phone screen turning offThanks for making the app! I’ve really enjoyed the few sessions of meditation so far. Just a quick question, is there a way to prevent the screen from turning off during meditation? I have to change my auto-lock settings every time I want to use this app. Other than that, the app is pretty much perfect!!!.Version: 2.4.1

Brilliant appI have downloaded this app a month ago to get into meditation and did some mindful meditation. I stopped using the app for 2 weeks because i didnt see any effects then wanted to try again and saw that mantra meditation was free and i have started it. It was day 8 of the course i went really deep in that meditation and saw a white bright light with energy filling my whole body. This app taught me how to meditate and clear my mind and that experience effected me that it has been a week but i still feel the impact..Version: 2.5.2

Best meditation app I’ve tried!I’ve always been on the lookout for a good meditation app with no hidden costs, no little tricks or surprises and Oak has been amazing! There are a few core meditations, sleep and breathing exercises to use and you can choose relaxing background noises and change the volume of the voices. I’ve been using the app on and off for months and I’m glad I found it. My one request would be bringing back the 5 minute guided meditations that were in one of the older versions of the app because I loved it and found it really helpful but other than that this app is basically perfect!.Version: 2.4.1

SimpleI love this app because of its simplicity. All of the other apps have so much in there that it can be a bit overwhelming. I know they’ve got subscriptions they need to sell, but what I love about this app, is there’s just a few options, where I’m mainly using the unguided timer. It does what I need and is very easy to use. I’d love to see an update with dark mode, but otherwise I think it’s perfect..Version: 2.5.1

My go to app. I’ve tried them allI’ve really enjoyed this app. Simplicity and easy navigation. Encouragement and tracking all great. We started with the guided meditations and now use the unguided option. It’s been wonderful. Highly recommended..Version: 1.0.0

Simple, effective, and freeI have been using this app for years after hearing about it on the Tim Ferris show. I’m a newbie to meditating and have only been doing it consistently for 1.5 years. That said I’ve purchased Ten Percent and recently Waking Up; however I find myself coming back to this app on a daily basis as those apps lack the breathing exercises I love in this app. Why do I love them? They work. They help me fall asleep, lower my BP when I’m stressing, I measured it - no exaggeration, and it’s free. I feel guilty not having paid a dime and would gladly make an app purchase or one time donation to show my appreciation. You have nothing to lose but stress, if you’re on the fence you shouldn’t be. Download and thank me later..Version: 2.5.2

AmazingA beautiful little app that lets you choose your meditation style. Love the chime intervals feature..Version: 2.5.2

Just enough guidanceI’ve used other meditation apps that were very helpful at first, but eventually there was either too much verbal guidance or none at all. I love the way Oak gets you started on your meditation and then gives you some silence before checking in again. I also like that there are very few choices of meditations. I used to spend a lot of time choosing a meditation and then starting and then choosing another one. Oak gives a few options and I just go with it. I also like that guided breathing is included. I find this very helpful..Version: 2.5.2

Novice.Perfect for a beginner like me..Version: 2.0.1

Mindfulness and MeditationI think to make this app even better you need to add more background music and even more exercises for meditation, breathing and help sleep. I also thing you should put in challenges. All in all it is a great app and I love it a lot now but I could love it a lot more in the future..Version: 2.5.1

Best Meditation App I’ve UsedI’ve tried many meditation apps, like Headspace or Calm, and most good ones require a fairly pricey subscription cost to be able to use them past the trial period or access all of the features. This app has all of the functions you could need, with many guided and unguided meditation styles and the option to include ambient sounds. Combined with its controlled breathing techniques, which i never knew i would want before but now love, it’s really the best app i’ve found so far for meditation..Version: 2.3.1

Excellent AppMy favourite meditation app. I lead a hectic life & often struggle to find peace, calm & clarity amongst the noise of day to day life. Of the five popular meditation apps I’ve downloaded ‘Oak’ is the one that has held my attention & has kept me coming back for daily meditation, often going over the ten minutes that I initially intend to do. I use the mindfulness, loving kindness & breathing exercises & enjoy them all. Meditation has now become something I look forward to doing every morning. It sets me up for a calm day ahead, without worry, anxiety or dread. I can’t recommend this app enough. Big thanks to the developers!.Version: 2.3.1

My favourite meditation appI’ve tried many meditation apps and Oak is my favourite. Unlike some apps which have hundreds of different guided meditations that delve into various topics, Oak is simple - there’s no unnecessary chatter, just straightforward guided (or unguided) meditation. You can set the timer from 10mins up to 30mins. There’s a variety of relaxing background noises to choose from. There’s also three easy breathing exercises. Simple and elegant - as it should be..Version: 1.3.0

Strength in SimplicityThis app is perfect in its simplicity. I love the ‘streak’ function and i love seeing how many others are ‘meditating now’. The sounds are beautiful and beautifully recorded. Its just been thought through really well and doesn’t feel like a sales portal. I feel friendly towards it and look forward to using it every day. I’ve never meditated as easily and consistently before! I have used it in conjuction with light watkins’ ‘bliss more’ book. Perfect combo..Version: 2.5.1

Perfect meditation appIt is a simple meditation app. The goal behind it is to learn how to meditate. It’s simple design is the best part. If you want to learn to meditate without the need for an app, then try it..Version: 2.5.2

Good, simple meditation companionI am enjoying using Oak as a meditation companion. It is simple, but has all the features I need, including a small number of guided meditations, breathing exercises and sleep aids. As well as an unguided meditation timer with optional background sounds and interval timers. Lots of features without being overwhelming. Clear interface, lovely presentation, and I really enjoy the little quotes on the (optional) reminder notifications. Best of all it is free, with nothing locked behind a subscription wall. I highly recommend giving it a try!.Version: 2.3.1

This is working out for meFor some reason this little 10 min immersion with my earbuds , sitting in my chair, is showing me a way of ease. I also enjoy the small messages sent as texts every few days . All very lovely.Version: 2.5.2

Great appLove this app. Highly recommend if you don’t want to pay.Version: 2.4.1

Just mind blowing goodI was nervous to try this app because I didn’t want a subscription service. But I tried it, doesn’t have one, which I was very relieved. I tried the Loving Kindness session first and was so relaxed and calm after just minutes. If I had to change anything though, I’d like to see more content like meditation for anxiety, depression or anger. I understand that might not make it a free app but wouldn’t mind a one time fee to get constant updates and new content. But I am completely satisfied so far and will definitely recommend your app to my friends!.Version: 2.4.1

Well deserved 5 Stars.Very much enjoying my Meditation. What a lovely calming voice the meditator lady has, so encouraging and I feel very comfortable with her. Thank you so much for this enabling App..Version: 2.5.2

So goodCant even remember finishing the guided meditations without falling asleep.Version: 2.5.2

Apps this good should not be freeAside from the Breathe App on the Apple Watch, this is the first application I’ve used for meditation. I’ve been using this every day since I installed it a week ago and I couldn’t be more pleased. Oak is simple to use but with enough variation on offer in terms of guided/unguided meditations or breathing excerises. If this was a paid App, I would not be disappointed..Version: 1.1.0

This is the bestI love this app. It’s the only one I could find for free I love that because I believe you shouldn’t have to pay to have help with stress or anxiety or sleep. 😁 ♥️.Version: 2.5.2

😃😃😃I LOVE this app because there are hardly an app purchases apart from a “meditation course” which I’m sure is no big deal! There are breathing things including guided and box breathing. The meditation includes loving kindness where you learn to love yourself and others without kissing yourself in the mirror! Meditation also includes unguided and just normal relaxation meditation. Another thing I like is that it gives you natural sounds and stories. 2 more things. This app awards you badges and keeps track of how many breathes and stuff like that. The last thing is that you can use this stuff over and over again as many times as you like and you can customise the gender of the speaker and the sounds in the background. As Bob Marley once said “don’t worry, be happy”!!!.Version: 2.5.1

Amazing totally recommend it just a quick question thoFor my meditation is it ok to lay down? I just want to know because it is my most calm spot thank you. once again totally recommend this app so helpful..Version: 1.3.0

Everything you needThis app is what a meditation app should be - nice simple design, easy to use, simple streak tracker. I’ve tried every meditation app going, paid for subscriptions, but this is the one that always comes back to because it’s not trying to push you to pay for anything. Calm and headspace are two apps I’ve paid for in the past, they are over-designed, and desperate to hold your attention to keep you subscribed. There’s simply no need for all those different courses, you just need good simple meditation and that’s what Oak gives you..Version: 2.5.2

Please ReadI absolutely love this meditation app I have tried I think maybe six other apps before I found this one. The reason I love this so much is PREMIUM. Now you are probably thinking ‘oh great this app has premium you probably can only get like one thing.’ You are wrong the app is complete merely free and has no plus premium or memberships everything is for free. I really recommend this app. Thank you for reading my review. Xx.Version: 2.5.1

Life savingI suffer from extreme anxiety and stress, having melt downs here and there. I was helped by a loved one to seek help. Reluctantly, I looked online and a search for relief and peace brought me to this app. I meditated during a bad episode. I began by doing the simple breathing exercises which relaxed me a bit but I still felt somewhat distraught. Then I proceeded to meditate after just ten minutes of breathing. Meditation cooled me down, helped me embrace myself and the ones I love. I cried. And found some relief I had always longed for. I will not stop meditating to say the least. Thank you to the people who put this amazing app together. Love, S.F..Version: 2.4.1

InterestingIt’s very interesting and may be the best meditation app out there, however I feel like something is missing from the app and that it could improve, is there going to be more courses? More features?.Version: 2.5.1

Just LovelyAs much as I’d like to think that I can find the motivation to meditate daily from within myself, I always fall out of the habit. Typically, I stop meditating when I probably need it the most (stressful times, endless task lists, etc.). I started using Oak a few weeks ago to get myself back in the habit. I look forward to my meditation now more than I ever have before. Life is hectic and stressful, and yet, I can’t wait to use Oak for some simple breath work and unguided meditation. I love everything about this app, and like a lot of other reviewers I greatly appreciate that it’s free. Lovely work!.Version: 2.4.1

All You NeedMost apps end up annoying me. Here is a free app that is actually free, not constantly trying to sell me stuff, and has exactly the features I require. A meditation app should be simple and elegant, and this one is just that..Version: 2.5.2

Perfect for first timersSimple way to see if meditation is for you. There are 3 exercises to learn breathing techniques 3 for meditation and 2 for sleep. You can also take a 10 lesson course. Each set is easy to follow, the sleep one has breathing exercise and a simple one where you select a sound (the sea, rain etc) or gentle music and how long it should play for. This is my favourite as I am not a good sleeper but I always nod off to this. The course is good too, great for a beginner like me. I expected to have to pay for it but couldn’t see how much. I downloaded it but never got charged as far as I can tell! By the end of this course you will have a good idea if meditation is right for you. So if it suits you there are more advanced courses to try as this one is fairly limited.Version: 2.5.2

Great app - wish they kept adding to itPotential to be the best app on the App Store. The team should keep adding to it everything about it is awesome, just wish there was more. Would be happy to donate if that was an option and meant the team could make more courses available.Version: 2.5.2

Incredible App - Long Awaited ForAs a daily meditation practitioner, I’ve honestly been disappointed with the meditation apps out there until I discovered Oak (via the intermittent fasting app Zero). It’s simple, user-friendly and best of all, absolutely free (which should always be the case). Thank you for developing such a wonderful app. Will be using and sharing with friends and family..Version: 2.5.2

PerfectoPerfecto.Version: 1.3.0

ExcellentJe fais jamais de commentaire, mais cette app est vraiment exceptionnellement efficace en plus d’être gratuite. Je recommande de l’utiliser tous les jours pour des meilleurs résultats!.Version: 2.5.2

Great appThis app is so easy to navigate with a simple design. Tigers are many sounds to choose from to play in the background as well. But it would be nice if there was an option for more personalised meditations to break up the repetition as there are only a couple..Version: 2.5.1

Could it really be free?I’m extremely cautious and skeptical when it comes to trying new meditation apps. The trend for these services to charge over $10 a month for some simple voice tracks is ludicrous. So far, Oak has bucked that trend and kept me smiling. Their blend of breathing exercises and meditations allows for variety without being excessive or overwhelming. I loved the customization in background noise during the guided meditation. I also found the UI to be pleasant and easy to navigate. This may be the last meditation app that I download in my quest for something to meet my needs. Please don’t go Freemium on me! I’ll happily pay a one-time fee for a thoughtfully designed app, but will NEVER pay for a meditation subscription..Version: 2.3.1

Free and relaxingThis app is by far one of the best meditation apps. It is free unlike many other apps and is soothing. I’m so glad I found it not only to help with my anxiety but to just calm me down or help me sleep. I have only done a few sessions and I’m already in love with Oak. You can choose to have background noise or not and the options are pretty decent for not having to pay money for the app. At first when I saw it, I thought there must be a catch but there isn’t and I am very happy. I believe that apps like this shouldn’t cost money because you shouldn’t have to pay money for something that is supposed to help you. I’m sure most apps like this won’t help your bank account😂 I highly recommend this app for anyone. 5 stars all the way👏.Version: 2.5.1

A simple but excellent meditation app!Lacks the breadth of content as apps such as Headspace or Calm, but still a solid, polished app nonetheless..Version: 2.3

Great app. One suggestionIt’s everything you’d want from a subscription app but without the subscription. Simple to use, soothing backgrounds, and plenty of options. May I offer one suggestion? I like to turn off the chimes on the unguided meditations because they startle me — even the quietest options. (That’s a me thing, not the app.) It would be nice if I could use the background sounds to keep track of the time instead, but without an ending chime, the sound just keeps going. There’s no way to tell how long I’ve been meditating unless I stop to pick up my phone, and wondering whether or not I’m going over time distracts me. Would it be possible to have the background sounds just stop when the time is up? Then I wouldn’t have to be startled at the end of each meditation, but I also wouldn’t risk being late because I accidentally spent 20 minutes meditating instead of 10. :) Otherwise, though, it’s a fantastic app. I like that I have meditation options, deep breathing exercises, and sleep sounds all in one place..Version: 2.5.2

So happy to have foundI’m SO happy to have found this App. It offers such a wholistic approach to compliment your fasting journey encompassing mind, body and spirit. Dr. Attia is amazing in his little videos where you can feel his power to motivate and his relaxed style will draw you in and make you want to do better, be better and you know you will do better as soon as you commit to following along his plan. If I was younger I would try desperately to seek employment with this group of exceptional people at the forefront of the fasting industry and committed to us. There is so much free information and it just makes you want to take the yearly subscription as the free information is so helpful - I’m in ! The Oak App is a life saver. I need help with meditation, mindfulness, and breathing work. It’s so well put together and user friendly I just love it. Thank you Oak.Version: 2.5.2

DonPerfectly simple, back to basics and I feel like the narrator is a friend in the room. The perfect meditation teaching app for people who may have a tendency for complicating things or worrying. I am one of those people and this app gives plenty of time and space to be able to achieve the simplicity of mindfulness.Even the experienced might benefit from giving this totally free gift a try..Version: 2.3.1

All what you need to meditate and Free!Understanding that other apps charge for certain focus meditations, this app gives you whats required for pure mindfulness. You can have guided or unguided meditation and will get you through if your objective is to incorporate 15-30 minutes of mindfulness in your day to day life. No hidden subscription fees.Version: 1.3.0

I absolutely love 💞Finally an app that has no in-app purchases, or you have to pay to use. I love how this app puts your relaxation first, and I think it is so cool how you can have a background sound behind the meditation sessions. I think this app is really going to help me be more relaxed as I can stress easily about things, without the frustrations of pop-ups whilst using the app asking to spend your money. I 100% recommend! 🧘🏻‍♀️🍃😌.Version: 2.4.1

Just The Meditation App I Have Been Looking For!I have been looking for a meditation app like this for ages and I have finally found it! Oak Meditation is the perfect meditation app because it is totally free and it has some amazing meditations on it! I would definitely recommend this app for anyone who likes meditation and who needs help sleeping or going to sleep. Definitely worth the 5 stars! Thank you so much to whoever made this app! I absolutely love it!.Version: 2.4.1

Finally something that worksFantastic app. I’ve been wanting to start meditating for quite some time but none of the apps I’ve tried in the past helped to learn & to actually ENJOY meditating...then I found Oak - simple, effective, straight to the point, no annoying ads. The sounds are a nice addition and it would be great if the developer could add some calmer rain sounds as all current ones seem so violent whenever I put one on it makes me feel like the roof of my house is about to collapse!.Version: 2.2

The simplest, best free meditation appThis app offers guided and unguided meditation tools. Many others do the same, but this app is clean , free from any attempts to shape your beliefs, to own you or to sell you other stuff. There is no claim. The guided meditation sessions are neutral, balanced and not overbearing. I felt most comfortable with this app as I did over 250 meditation sessions almost every morning. It is excellent for beginners and advanced practitioners. For me, this has been the best free app..Version: 2.4.1

Fantabulous appLove this app. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles which is a fantastic. Doesn’t give me too many options so it removes all the distractions. I can sit down and start using the app to meditate. Has never failed me..Version: 2.5.1

VolumeI’d continue using this app, but for now I’m going back to meditating organically. I use the unguided meditation in this app and love the background noises and chimes to let me know when my time is starting and over. I don’t understand why the background noises are so quiet though. When I turn them up to block other noise and the chime to let me know my time is up starts, it is insanely loud and even makes me jump. Why is there such a difference between volume levels? I don’t understand. I’ll go back if the developers ever add a volume HUD and slider to change it to how I’d like or if the volume is equalized and the background noises weren’t barely bearable at a medium volume. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the app and would use it often if this was fixed.Version: 2.5.2

Peace and no hidden feesThe best meditation app by far. No pressure, just an easy to use app which guides you gently on how to increase your inner calmness. This is the app you need to help you in this world of chaos..Version: 2.5.2

It’s right there for me :-)I suffer from PTSD from working overseas when I was younger and Oak has helped me so much in the past twelves months I have been using it. The deep calm breathing is what I go to as soon as I get an anxiety attack. I do about 3 to 4 cycles of this breathing in a row and it calms me down within 5 to 10 minutes. Thank you so much. Dave, Townsville, QLD.Version: 2.4.1

Love this appI use this app almost everyday and I absolutely love it, thank you so much for making this 🙏🏼.Version: 2.5.2

OakI love oak for many reasons, some days I would feel sad and feel like I’m not good enough and then I would get a reminder from oak to do a meditation session. A lot of the other ones are used you had to pay for each month. While Oak was free, and it is the best app I’ve use. I would buy a lot of other station apps that will not work as well, and I ended up deleting them but once I got oak I was “like it’s just gonna be another app that I have to pay for” but in the end I didn’t have to pay for it and I love this app, when things happen in your life you could use oak to calm yourself down a 10 minute meditation session and calm a lot down.Version: 2.5.2

I have NEVER written a review...until TODAYI just discovered the Oak app the other day and absolutely LOVE IT. I’ve used Calm, Headspace, 10% Happier, Insight Timer and this is BY FAR the simplest and most accessible app there is. It’s as simple and quiet as the practices it contains. I am an RYT200 yoga instructor and also a corporate director of employee training & development...my passion is to marry the two to provide meaningful experiences for people to do the real inside out work of development. That’s where the true growth comes from. Anywho, I wanted to let you know that I will be recommending Oak to all 10,000 employees at my organization plus at my conference speaking engagements. It fits so well with the breathwork and practices I’ve already been doing! I wanted to let you know and to potentially interview the developer to hear the story of how you were led to create this app. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HEART AND TECH SAVVY to create Oak!.Version: 2.5.1

This is the best meditation app I’ve foundIt doesn’t overwhelm you or try to train you or change you. You have the options. If you want to learn meditation or be directed and guided then this is perhaps not for you but if you want an app where you set the time and the sounds and you are left alone then this is right. I’ve tried numerous other apps but this one is the best for me..Version: 2.5.2

Perfection!!!This app is amazing, simple and so EASY to use!! It has such an aesthetically pleasing home page while being super user-friendly and very accessible to people low-income. I personally don’t want to buy anything but there are no ads in-app to pressure you and it’s such a calm and easy way to tune-in to your mind before you start your day, during to calm you, or after to reset you. Honestly such a good app, it takes a lot to make me review apps here! Haha 😊.Version: 2.5.2

Good app but no treeI got this app after reading about it through the app spotlight, where the article mentioned it encourages continued meditation through the growth of your own personal Oak tree. I don’t have a tree in my app, instead progress is tracked through badges. I’m a little disappointed as I thought the tree concept was beautiful and engaging! That said, this is a lovely simple to use meditation app with a small number of selections. I use the sleep programs and find they greatly improve my sleep, however have one suggestion: fade in and out voices and fade out background noise when the timer is finished. Otherwise it tends to wake you! Well done developers, would have been lovely to see the initial growth concept of the tree but still a lovely app..Version: 2.3.1

Great app! 👍🏻Okay first of all, I don’t write reviews (one of the reasons I recommend you, reader, check it out) and since this is my second time writing a review, maybe third in my life, it’s not gonna be really detailed. The ability for the app to be able to turn off at the requested time is incredible. I can set a session (in my case guided breath or relaxing sounds) to any time I want, usually 15 minutes, and guaranteed I will fall asleep in that span of time, and my phone will not play until it dies, like if I played a song for example. It will turn off, and it will be on a screen, and the iOS ability for my phone to turn off when not active (I don’t know if it’s on other brand phones) Means that my phone will turn off, doesn’t die and lulls me to sleep. Adiós.Version: 2.5.2

I love this app! This app made meditation and breathing accessible for someone like me, who has a very anxious mind. Thank you for the options of breathing exercises, and different types of meditation (e.g. mindful meditation, loving kindness meditation, unguided meditation). Thank you for the option of male or female voice! Thank you so much for the clean and beautiful user interface! I really appreciate Oak being a free app for everyone to use, at this time when meditation has become so commodified and monetized. Other apps charge more for less features. There is a paid 10 day mantra meditation course (thankfully a one time fee), but all other content is free. I understand the optional paid course to keep access to the app free to those who can’t afford it. Even when I couldn’t sleep and couldn’t find a free white noise app, and just happened to wonder, “I wonder if Oak has sleep sounds...” It really did. Bravo, truly bravo. Thanks so much..Version: 2.5.1

I fell asleep!I’ve had this issue for the past four years. I just could not sleep. I stare at the wall, put on white noise, take melatonin supplements, etc. But then I found this app. I have not fallen into sleep within 30 minutes since I was a child. But for the first time in a long time listening to the guided sleep meditation, I fell asleep in twelve minutes the first night, and ten in the next night! Thank you, whoever made this. You’ve changed my sleep for the better.😴.Version: 2.3.1

My favorite appI love this app deeply and always recommend it to my friends. It was specially helpful during the first months of the pandemic when I had trouble sleeping. I use it pretty much every night to meditate and get ready to sleep. I just wish you could balance the volumen btw the voice and the background sound because to get the voice volume right is make the background almost imperceptible. Also, and this didn’t happen in the past, now although I set my sessions for 15 minutes when I wake in the morning it is still on, which drains the battery. In the past it would stop but now it just keep going. I wonder if is due to the new iOS15 or the new focus mode or something like that. I hope you fix those two things in the future because is a wonderful app and it’s made my life better. 100% recommended..Version: 2.5.2

WonderfulI really like this because it helps me calm down when trying to sleep because I have a bit of insomnia. I also like how it doesn't spam you to pay for a monthly trial. I give it 5 stars.Version: 2.5.1

Great meditation appI do truly enjoy this app as previous apps were nonstop trying to sell something offers and so on you were unable to use half of the features as all was blocked until you upgraded with monthly payments this one in Peaceful no, I use it online sometimes but I enjoy it every time. Highly recommended..Version: 2.5.2

Simple & EffectiveI have used Insight Timer for years, and while that app is still my go-to for a large library of free guided meditations and logging statistics, I think this may be the app I use for regular daily meditations. This is because of the app’s minimalism—all the extra bells and whistles of other apps can distract and result in switching from meditation to meditation until I find the “right” one. Oak seems to give me just enough options to provide choice but keep it simple. The interface and meditation artwork is also very satisfying, and the fact that it does not display an overwhelming number of stats will keep me from being distracted from my real goal of meditation: no winning or losing, no good or bad sessions, no “progress” or “regress”—just gentle, mindful practice. Thanks, Oak..Version: 2.5.1

Great For SleepLove this app - helps me get a good sleep by using the sleep sounds!.Version: 2.5.2

Just started and I like itJust started and it’s a nice meditation app to use. Simple and effective. Will update when I’ve been using a bit longer..Version: 2.4.1

Superb app!!!Okay I will be recommending this app to anyone. I love that it’s free, for one, and I LOVEEEE THE daily reminder QUOTES I get from it. Will be telling my family to download this app. It’s a LIFE CHANGER y’all. 100% commitment..Version: 2.5.1

Oak is great, and oak is freeKevin Rose and the folks on the development team deserve a HUGE thank you for this app. There are a ton of apps that have popped up in this space, and some of them are worth the money, but meditation is free and this app beautifully reflects the quiet, simple nature of meditation. You really don’t need much more than this. There’s some guidance that paves the way to unguided meditation, and enough quantification and community statistics if that motivates you. The sound choices are high quality and no frills, adding a level of functionality to the app that raises the quality of the meditation experience. Get it, there’s no reason not to..Version: 2.4.1

Meditation made simple and easyExcellent app. No nonsense, no lengthy talking, cuts to the chase in an easy and straightforward way. It is like yoga for your mind. You will feel better, calmer and more yourself just in a better way. You do not need to become a meditation superstar, instead just do it in small chunks. Very useful..Version: 2.3.1

Oak appHonestly the best meditation app! Highly highly recommend ❤️.Version: 2.5.1

Great appLove this app. If you can, make the chime sounds quieter. Some of the background noises are a bit quieter so I turned it up and almost jumped at the end of my session lol..Version: 2.5.2

Life changing!Love the simplicity. I use it to wind down, be a better father, sleep better, get centred before an important meeting (I’m way more empathetic), manage anxiety, improve appetite - the list goes on. Thanks, Kevin and team!.Version: 2.0

Love this for a quick calmerI already do mindful meditation but find it hard to find the time everyday. I absolutely love the breathing patterns, I find them very effective and easy to squeeze in multiple times a day as they only need 1-2 minutes. I'd love to see a few more options. Love the simplicity of the app..Version: 2.4.1

Seems good so farJust started using this app and done a few breathing exercises. So far I like the simplicity of it and the timer image for inhaling, holding and exhaling. It’s also good you are not bombarded with messages about upgrading as happens with some other apps. It looks like the only bit which you pay to access is a mantra course which is £5.99 so not too much for that and a nice way to support the app and its developers. A nice app..Version: 2.5.1

BrilliantSimple, effective and free from ads. The voices are very pleasant - the issue I had with Headspace was that I found the narrator’s voice rather annoying and distracting. This is much better, and it keeps it simple: there’s the time-proven meditation where you follow your breath and three breathing exercises. Furthermore, I love that I can add a background noise to the meditation to drown out my housemates during practice. All in all, a well rounded option for beginners and seasoned meditators alike..Version: 1.3.0

Best meditation app // simplicity is keySo simple which is how a mediation app should be. I love the badges and now that I have promise to myself to consistently mediate every day the “streak” is even more incentive!! Would recommend this app to all levels of experience in mediation. 10/10 𖤓.Version: 2.5.1

Amazingly RelaxingI have tried so many apps that claim to relax you, and after only having this one for 2 days, I can say it’s the best. You can have a full, calming experience, without having to pay for a subscription. You can choose your favourite background noise, like rain or white noise, or a male or female voice. I have been particularly stressed lately, and this app has been one of the few things that lets me be at ease. I would gladly recommend it to everyone..Version: 2.5.2

Oak reviewYou don’t realize you are wound up with liberal amounts of stress, anxiety, fear, doubt , until you download this app and begin using it, listening to the male or female voice speaking as if they are with you , making you realize that most of your negative thoughts are simply happening between your ears, This is a good app,.Version: 2.5.2

Mind Blown AwayI absolutely love this app. There is no subscription that you have to buy to use it. There is an in app purchase but that’s besides my point. I absolutely would recommend this app. Whenever I’ve had a stressful day I can always count on this awesome app to help. Waking up early? No problem! The sleeping section helps with that. Can’t focus? The breathing section helps with that! Just want to be guided on meditation without having to tap your screen to make sure it’s on? The meditation section helps with that! Here’s a quick story: when I first found this app and saw that you could have rain playing for 55 minutes with you phone off, I had to recommend it to my mom. She loves sleep and falling asleep to rain. It was the best to her! Another thing: Since it’s Pride Month I’ll share this. The meditation section REALLY helped me accept my sexuality and gender identification since I was struggling with that and coming to terms with who I was. I was a little ehh about it but doing the I think acceptance breathing meditation course, for a while really helped me come to terms. Have I proven my point that this is a freakin amazing app yet? Still not convinced? Try it out, see how you like it..Version: 2.5.1

Amazing AppThis app has really helped me with handling my time, at the start I thought about how I could be doing extra things in these ten minutes, however I have come to really enjoy it. One of my favourite things about this is how your tree grows alongside you, it’s almost like you are showing off your work with something beautiful you made. I highly recommend this app, honestly it’s helped me so much..Version: 1.3.0

100% Free!!My favourite meditation app by far!! Everything looks like it’s for free unlike these other mediation apps and this app also tries to motivate you by having your own tree (it grows the more time you spend meditating) The app also gives you some neat little statistics about who is meditating right now in the community or what breathing technique they are doing and it is just awesome! I can not recommend this app enough as I simply love it, my only suggestion is maybe the developers can include more variety of sounds and Wisdom videos and maybe the female/male who talks to you through guided meditation can sometimes say different things to you instead of the same thing every time so you feel like someone is actually teaching you how to mediate in real life. Keep up the good work guys and I hope this app soars in popularity over time as it is underrated..Version: 1.3.0

CoursesAdd more courses this is good!.Version: 2.5.2

Love thisI use this everyday, it’s perfect! Good for beginners and regulars I hope they add more to the app soon - it’s awesome.Version: 2.5.2

Absolutely brilliant!!!I can’t rate this highly enough. I’ve tried several meditation apps but this is by far the best. It’s really easy to use and the guided meditations give you just enough prompts to stay on track without being annoying. I’ve gone from viewing meditation as a chore to really loving it and feeling much better as a result..Version: 2.3.1

This app really deliversThis is the best meditation app. No tricks no hidden costs. I have chronic pain and using this app has made a massive impact on my life. I love the different meditations, the background sound options and the breathing exercises. I am so glad to have fond this app - it brings me balance and calm..Version: 2.4.1

Five stars and one wish...The app is amazing. I just wish you could adjust the audio levels for the background music and the speaking voice. Thank you..Version: 2.3.1

Please read!I never review anything. Like really, but I had to review this because I’ve been using it for months. When I first got the app I was really into it and would meditate daily, usually later in the day and would use the sleep option to fall asleep, thinking at first that it wouldn’t work but it truly does calm you down. Then I stopped for e few weeks and got back into it again and I feel so good after meditating! This app is soo good and it is even better because it’s free and still has options unlike other apps that make people pay to meditate after doing it 5 times. I highly recommend this app!.Version: 2.5.1

Everything you need to start meditatingBasic guided meditations, guided breathing, a couple of guided practices to help you fall asleep and a meditation timer wrapped up in a pleasing interface with a nice selection of background sounds. Excellent app. Many thanks to the developers..Version: 2.5.1

Easy to use, no sales pressureI love that Oak is geared towards simplicity — it trains you to meditate without verbal guidance. Other apps seem built around the dizzying variety of guided meditations that are their business model. Oak simply works well, and encourages a deeper practice..Version: 2.3.1

Great app (basic and free)This app is great and is one of the only apps that shows mantra meditations. Love it..Version: 2.5.2

Amazing!!!I’m 11 and autistic, and I have sleeping problems - this app helped me soooo much! The sleeping thing is great it has a really calm woman’s voice guiding you through it really gently and you can choose the background sound like rain or a stream - I use it every night! The meditation and breathing is fantastic too! I would highly recommend this app for everyone. There is only one problem with this app. Some of the breathing techniques are too difficult for younger kids! Anyway I love this app and everyone should have it!!! 😁😁😁.Version: 2.5.1

Helpful simplicityThis is a really helpful aid to meditation, adjustable according to the user’s preferences and available time. As a person who has had both physical and mental health issues relating to stress and extreme self-criticism, I have benefited greatly from this app’s easy-going encouragement towards non-efforting. And it’s free too! though the paid-for Mantra course is worth checking out as well if you find yourself using the app a lot..Version: 2.5.1

Amazing! All I can give to this app is a 5! I love how you start off as a grasshopper and you slower start to level up and lean about what mindfulness is. Bye everything being free, I can use everything that everybody else is using. The noises are a miracle for me getting to sleep I haven’t slept this good in ages. I recommend to get this app!.Version: 2.5.1

Simply Beautiful.I love this app! Unlike the other meditation apps which you have to pay for, this is 100% free! When people pay for meditation apps, they tend to feel obligated to meditate and it becomes a duty, which loses the point of meditation. Keep up the good work guys!.Version: 1.3.0

Love It!I’ve used Calm and Headspace. Calm started charging so I got rid of it and I couldn’t understand Headspace too much. Oak is simple and effective. The only thing is under courses... there’s only one. Or I can’t find where to look at other courses? I paid for the Mantra Course and I enjoyed it, but since the section is labeled “courses” as in plural, I thought there’s be more than one.🤷🏼‍♀️. But I can still use the app regardless of that one little hiccup. And I still love it’s simple and effective design. I would also mention to add an audible option to the breathing as someone suggested before me..Version: 2.5.1

Simple, Free. No catchA free daily 10 minute guided meditation. Set a reminder if you like, and add some background noise, like rain or waterfall. It offers a few guided breathing exercises. And that’s about it. No bait-n-switch teaser meditations leading to in-App purchases or expensive memberships. After making daily 10 minute meditation a ritual, I probably WOULD consider an option to upgrade for more variety. The lack of blatant marketing allowing me to focus on my practice actually makes me more willing to spend $ since I feel the app developer is more trustworthy than greedy..Version: 1.3.0

It reallly helpsThe breathing sessions really calm one down. Mindful meditation really freshens one up. Highly recommended. Great user interface as well..Version: 1.3.0

Absolute generosityI use the app. everyday to guide me in meditation and breathing. It is awesome for beginners that are new to meditation and breathing. I use it to help me in stress, focus, energy etc. and in general mindfulness meditation. I love the female voice, the male is good also but I feel more effect on my meditation with the female voice. I hope to see this app. grow with more users and more techniques in breathing and or meditation type. Thank you for sharing knowledge and kindness by having this app. for free..Version: 2.5.2
