Less - Alcohol Tracker for Positive User Reviews

A blessingThis app helps you hold yourself accountable and track your drinking and it doesn’t cost a thing. It takes you to put forth some initiative to make it work, but as someone who has struggled with alcohol and was bummed by most apps asking for subscription. A subscription you might not be able to afford as you’re struggling with alcohol this helps you track yourself and hold yourself accountable. I think this probably serves the self conscious best and those who recognize their problems first and foremost will make the most from this. It made my day to see something like this is just free and readily available. Everyone please donate to this project or support their other applications this is a tool to help others. Support the paid projects they have.Version: 1.1.10

Beautiful app but not enough supportThis is a beautiful app but there’s just not enough support to make me feel like it’s impacting my life and/or keeping me accountable. When I am under or over my weekly limit, the app doesn’t make me feel like I did a good or bad job, respectively, aside from some animations. I use the developers’ other apps Zero (for fasting) and Oak (for meditation). Compared to Zero, Less just does not get the attention it deserves. This app would be truly great if they added more features, added coaching, and updated the research section more frequently. I will continue to use this app and stand by the developers’ other apps; thus the four star rating. Less could be so much better..Version: 1.1.5

Quiet support !This little app is perfect for quiet, non scolding, support. Wish I could tag a friend or supporter. Give it a try, nothing to lose..Version: 1.1.10

Crashes after signin with Apple - resolvedThe developer has fixed the crash. Good resource. Would be useful to introduce functionality to actually measure the units, BAL etc. (like in IntelliDrink)..Version: 1.0.2

Excellent startJust what I was looking for to track a New Years resolution to drink less. It does a good job already but down the line there’s potential for powerful integrations with Apple Health, Shortcuts, Streaks etc. Would be neat if you could also set a target for a certain number of booze free days per week!.Version: 1.0.6

Should be 5 starsThis app should be a 5 star review but it doesn't sync with Apple Health. It's a pretty major oversight and limits it's usefulness. Seems like this app is not getting any love from its creators anymore which is a shame..Version: 1.1.10

Simple but effectiveThis very straightforward app helps encourage fewer drinks per week, without a lot of input or fuss ..Version: 1.1.10

This app is exactly what I needed.I wanted to be more mindful about my drinking, and this app does exactly that. It’s simple and no frills, but sometimes setting a goal and seeing it in front of you are all you need. One change: I wish I could have gone further back in the past on the calendar for tallying drinks in the beginning — I had already been tracking my drinks on paper for some weeks and would like to have that data in the app for comparison..Version: 1.1.5

Less worksGreat App. Makes tracking easy and limits easy to follow.Version: 1.1.10

Simple. Effective. Almost perfect. As another commenter said, the main issue with this app is the inability to change daily limits. While the drinking trends tracker appropriately labels days as “drink free,” “within limit,” and “daily limit,” on the monthly progress timeline, days that are at the daily limit are marked as “over limit” which feels very defeating. Additionally, I’ve learned that I need to have a weekly limit of 15 drinks to have the daily limit be 3 drinks. Ideally, I’d like my daily limit to be 3 and my weekly limit to be 7. One small change there and this app had everything I’d want in a simple accountability tool!.Version: 1.1.9

Love it!Simple to use, and perfect timing for my new year resolution. I love the graphics. Super beautiful. No trouble with account creation or navigating the dashboard..Version: 1.0.2

No way to set daily limitAs others have said, it would be very helpful to be able to manually set a daily limit. I have a rather low weekly limit, but still want to be able to have more than one drink in a single day, as long as it won’t put me over my weekly limit. This seems to me like a very basic feature, so it’s strange that it’s missing..Version: 1.1.5

Simple, yet effective. This is a wonderfully simple, but useful app to help me become more accountable for my drinking. There’s some good advice to help steer you in the right direction and it easy to log drinks and keep track of how much alcohol you’ve consumed over an extended period of time. The animations are a nice touch too! Thank you!.Version: 1.0.2

Mighty useful to keep an eye on things!Nice dashboard. I know where I am now in terms of consumption- more than I could say before. Not pushy, just keeps an eye on things..Version: 1.1.10

Nice habit tracking appUI/UX are clean and simple. Since there’s no Contact Us form in the support Zendesk, I’ll post feedback here. Under the ‘Drinking Trends’ tab, the labels for time periods are off. ‘Weekly’ shows days, ‘Monthly’ shows weeks, and ‘Yearly’ shows months. Separately, the Tally page says “You are drink-free for 16 days” but the ‘Streaks’ stat says I’m “Current Streak: 5 days without a drink”. Also, wish there was a way to add data going back further than June 1st 2020. Otherwise, nicely done!.Version: 1.1.6

Good app, but can be improvedI think this has what’s you’re looking for. I do wish that in addition to “money spent” and “calories consumed” that it was money saved, or calories saved. Especially for those who are trying to drink less, I feel that that’s a more motivating metric. For example, you were drink free for 12 days and you saved X dollars and consumed X less calories than normal..Version: 1.1.10

Beautiful design - easy to useLove this app for keeping track of drinking habits.Version: 1.1.10

Intuitive and MeaningfulThis app is not only easy to use but allows me to keep track of my alcohol intake daily. The use of notifications reminds me to check in by the end of the day and it has really helped me visualize how much I have been drinking. It’s allowed me to cut back and given me a reason to not have a drink the next day - even if that reason is as simple as holding a drink free streak. Using this to supplement kicking alcohol to the curb makes it such a great tool, the fact that it’s free also has allowed me to continue using it and making progress.Version: 1.1.10

Good app with a key suggestionSimple app that does its purpose. I would make two important suggestion: - The app might induce people to drink more in one go, since the limit of 6 drinks is weekly, it would be useful to have a daily limit as well. Instead of “You haven’t had a drink today!” it could be something more positive and motivational: “Good job, a day without alcohol and towards your goals” or anything that it’s less emotional conflicting..Version: 1.1.10

Zero is betterZero is better I think as it goal oriented. Many add a goal like 21 days of no booze. Etc..Version: 1.0.7

Pretty good apart from the characters left knee!Very simple to use, like the widget to record drinks quickly. Only moan is the page with calories and money count- you can’t see the calories because of the character’s knee! Other wise very straightforward.Version: 1.1.4

Really helpful and encouragingHelp with drinking mindfully and tips on how to say no..Version: 1.1.10

This app helped me moderate my drinking when I could never do it on my ownI’ve worked in a bar the past 7 years and could never get sober no matter how hard I tried. Then I started using this app. The beginning was hard. I was still drinking heavily but at least I was tracking it. Once I saw how many drinks I was having a week/month, I snapped out of it. I love the design and ease of use. I love the streaks! Only downside is it’s extremely buggy. I wish the devs would update it more often. I would pay for this app! It’s probably saved my life..Version: 1.1.10

Simple, Functional, BeautifulWe’ll designed app, no ads, really great if you’re curious how many drinks you actually have a week..Version: 1.1.10

FinallyAn app to help moderate and track drinking that doesn’t resort to abstinence or long/short non-drinking challenges. The design is great and encourages me to ‘check myself’ and be better informed so I can change my habits..Version: 1.0.4

Great app for my useI’ve been using this app since the start of 2020 and it’s really been helping me keep myself drinking less! It is an easy way to remind myself to get those “drink-free day streaks” and when I do drink, I find the app makes me aware of how much I am drinking so I consume in moderation! The stats page is helpful to review from time to time, although the calendar function is a little slow. I like that I can look historically back on my years and also have the option to export my data should I choose. I really look forward to seeing my progress over time! It’s a great app for me and I appreciate how all of this is free, in a world that charges for nearly everything nowadays! It would be neat to be able to select a time frame (years, or custom dates) to view the total numbers (drinks and average $ spent on drinks) on the stats main dashboard, but as this is free, it’s simply a wish if there are future updates..Version: 1.1.10

Revealed how much I was really drinkingI meet the definition of “moderate alcohol consumption”, rarely more than two drinks a day and definitely not every day. So I figured I was doing pretty well, but this app charted how quickly those drinks add up. Also, it revealed how I can easily slide from max 2 drinks, to occasionally 3 and sometimes more. While this likely wouldn’t be considered a drinking problem by anyone, it was affecting my energy levels, mood, and mental clarity. The app itself is simple and clean. It does one job: shows you your drinking habits over time. Definitely worth using..Version: 1.1.6

Great app, simple effective, nice to look atBut.. only issue and reason for 4 stars, not 5 is that no Apple Health sync so it doesn’t talk to the rest of my health data… For me that seems like such a fundamental feature in any iOS health app. but I’m hoping that will come in an update and will keep trying this out… If you don’t need / want that feature then this is a top app and really nicely done!!.Version: 1.1.10

Helpful app but...I had recently started tracking my drinking in habit apps and realized I was drinking more than I thought. None of the apps I had tried were really well suited for this kind of thing though (they’re more for things like exercising more) so I’m glad I found this app. The only thing that frustrates me about it is that I can’t input the data I had tracked for the last couple of months. There’s a calendar view, but you can’t edit from it which seems like an oversight. In the last update they also changed the week to start on Sunday which I’m not a fan of, I wish they had made it a setting instead. Other than that though the app is great. It’s definitely been enlightening for me to see how much I was really drinking and caused me to cut back. I’m sure it will help a lot of other people too..Version: 1.0.4

Simplified and easy to use but I wish it had just couple more featuresThis app is very easy to use and navigate and it has made it very simple to track alcohol consumption. I do wish that it had daily limits along with the weekly limits but other than that I still like it enough to use it. Bonus points if it were available in Spanish..Version: 1.1.10

Watch?App is great - I love it. Bare bones and to the point! Not all this extra stuff you don’t need. The Siri command doesn’t work tho, and that would be SUCH a wonderful feature. It would be so nice to be able to Siri command “add a drink” since when you’re out and about it can be hard to remember to open the app and add etc. Please fix this 🙂.Version: 1.1.9

Does the jobIt looks gorgeous. UI is intuitive and functional. The only downside is lack of calculations. My data is recorded but it doesn’t show any totals or streaks, go figure. On the flip side, it tracks my drinks and it’s free so I can’t complain..Version: 1.1.6

Being mindful...I have found using this app extremely helpful in my being cognizant of my alcohol consumption. I find myself reaching for non-alcoholic choices more since I started tracking. I feel better and have lost a few pounds which is an added bonus!.Version: 1.0.7

Not sure about the sailing themeNot sure about the sailing theme but this app is exactly what I was looking for.Version: 1.1.9

More communityLove the simple app and features. Would love to be able to add friends to keep each other accountable and compete for better behaviour. But mostly I want to make fun of them when they fall off the wagon. :-).Version: 1.1.10

Useful and niceNot too stressful, friendly and motivating. I like it..Version: 1.1.10

Great appSimple, no frills. It’s all you need in a tracker app. For me, the unnecessary bells and whistles the other apps have just distract from the true point of the app, which is to come to terms with your own use. Even when I’m drinking more than I want, this app has become a habit that is easy to keep up, and when it’s time to be mindful again I have the record I need..Version: 1.1.3

Visually pleasing, couple problemsThis app has aesthetically pleasing visuals and I like how you can view past alcohol consumption. My main problem is that when you set a weekly limit, it’s automatically assumed that you’re spreading those drinks evenly over each day. So for example, if my weekly limit is 7 and I put that on one day I have two drinks, it says I’m over my daily limit. But I don’t drink every day, or at least I’m trying not to ! When I do drink it’s probably a weekend where I’ll have several and it’s annoying that the app counts this as a breach if I’m still under my weekly limit..Version: 1.1.3

Needs some polish but otherwise goodCalendar view assumes week starts on Sunday. Doesn’t for me. Would be nice to mark planned dry periods and non-dry periods - those outside of normal plan. No idea what the ship/sailor theme is for. Doesn’t chime with me at all. The name “Less” clashes: I consume “fewer” drinks but “less” alcohol. In the U.K. “units” might be a better option. I find myself logging 2 drinks for 1 strong or large drink..Version: 1.0.4

A Little Bit Of a NagI got this primarily to track my alcohol usage. I have not ever been a problem drinker. Some of my bottles of liquor have been sipped a drink or two a year. Wine at dinner is regular two or three times a week. This little app tends to be on the don't drink side of the equation. It congratulates for going a certain number of days using alcoholic control language. Does what it is supposed to do. But maybe not what I want..Version: 1.0.2

Dates don’t line up correctlyEasy to use to track your drinks however when you click on the monthly tab it shows each week and the dates are off by 1 full week. Hopefully the developers fix this..Version: 1.1.10

Works now!Nice design & usability, stats are great. Just need daily push notifications to remind me to record my drinks..Version: 1.0.2

This app confirmed to me why I’m always skint and hungoverBut I’ll still give it five stars! Can recommend :).Version: 1.1.7

WonderfulA beautiful, premium-feeling app for free. It has such a simple and elegant UI. My only suggestion would be to add a feature for converting quantity/ ABV of drinks to standard drinks (for example, a 12oz beer of 6.8% ABV translates to 1.4 standard drinks). It would help provide a more accurate picture of overall drinking habits..Version: 1.1.10

Fantastic appThis is perfect, exactly what I wanted. A simple easy to use app, to track all alcohol intake. It has useful data on my past intake and some education around alcohol use. This, oak and zero are great apps, thank you so much..Version: 1.1.2

Easy to useSimple, fast and visually appealing. Better than other apps I’ve tried for this purpose..Version: 1.1.3

Great app!Recommend to all who want to start drinking more mindfully..Version: 1.0.8

So far mostly goodI really like the simplicity of it, but for being a “judgement free zone” I really don’t like the red every where. I am a beer drinker only and even though I’m 4 drinks under my 10 drink a week limit, logging my 4th beer turns the counter red. Which having 4 beers on a Saturday night I don’t think is that bad, especially when I’ve had two beers the rest of the week. Plus in your rolling average it’s also red. This app is supposed to help control consumption, which I think it it does, and does well, I just don’t like the red everywhere on stats just because we have drinks. The people that are going to use this app, drink, so don’t make us feel bad for logging the drinks..Version: 1.0.4

Great for Heavy and Light Drinkers alike!I’m a light drinker (average 4 drinks or less a week) but I wanted to watch my calorie intake (drinking always increases my weight) and wanted to try this app. I found it helpful in showing me the days I drink the most regularly (weekends) and it also shows approximate calorie increase and cost you have spent as well. I found the character showing you on a calm sea (light drinking) and a stormy one (heavy) very clever and cute if you are more a visual person. I like this app and I think it’s appeal is pretty broad for both types of drinkers..Version: 1.1.10

Helps you see the big pictureExactly what I was looking for after trying and giving up on a few other apps. Less helps you understand the big picture of your drinking habits, rather than getting lost in the weeds of the number of ounces or calories in each and every drink you have. It’s simple and discrete to log drinks and the calendar view with streaks are nicely presented. This app has helped me be more mindful about moderation..Version: 1.0.6

Great appLoving it and helps to track drink free days which is great - however it would be awesome to also be able to not only log your drinks ( beer/ wine / scotch etc ) and then the app not only calculates the calories and the $$ but also the BAC and then syncs with the HealthKit ? Cheers.Version: 1.1.6

Simple and usefulThere are other drink tracking apps, but they are all so complicated that I don’t use them last. I love that this just has one option and not a million types of drinks to select from. I do wish it had a small selection (beer, wine, liquor, cocktail for example) but it’s not the end of the world. My main request is that the reminder timer be customizable. At least for me a reminder at 8pm every day is a bit too early. Also the contact support button in the settings doesn’t do anything.Version: 1.1.9

Beautiful simple appI love this app for its ease and simplicity. It doesn’t try to manage your entire life or beat you over the head with advertising and complicated steps. You set a weekly goal and it tells you if you’re meeting the goal or not with some helpful feedback along the way. Thank you!.Version: 1.0.7

Super motivatingThe best thing about this app isn’t that it’s free, it’s the fact you can keep accountable in a fun and rewarding way. I super love the fact I can’t say “hey siri, add a drink!” And it keeps tally for me without moving a finger. 10/10 recommend..Version: 1.1.10

Great for Those Who Don’t Want to QuitLet’s be honest. 2020 (and now 2021) have been rough on our livers. Now that we’re coming out the other side- it’s time to get healthy again. Less is great because it’s designed for those who say “Hey, I want to cut back but let’s be honest- I ain’t quitting entirely.” It helps you practice conscious drinking. Just being aware of your consumption leads to less consumption. All in all, a great app! I’ve cut down my drinking about 60% to a level I’m much more comfortable with and I’m sure my doctor will be too. Give it a whirl!.Version: 1.1.10

Great app to keep trackGreat simple to use app to keep track. Only wish it had a widget.Version: 1.1.10

Great app!!I love this app but recently every time I try to open it the app shuts down. Please help!!.Version: 1.1.4

Simple and non judgemental app.Great app. Elegant and simple. Best of all non judgemental. Set your own limits. Simple to track. Simply estimate your average cost per drink and what you would like your weekly limit of drinks to be and off you go. Takes literally seconds to track every day. It’s help me mindfully reduce my drinking without lecturing on alcohol harm. Feel healthier, more energy and have lost weight. Highly recommended..Version: 1.1.5

Revised from 1 to 4 starsI was having problems logging data and to my surprise got contacted by the dev team with suggestions on how to fix the issue, which worked. Needs some bugs fixed as others have noted, but what a great concept and customer service experience! I find this app really helpful to track and be mindful of my intake..Version: 1.1.10

Simple & ConciseA great app for not only keeping track of your consumption, but also cost and calories..Version: 1.1.10

Great appI used to use a different app (I am sober) for the last 3 years but they changed it and now it’s nowhere near as good to keep clear track of what you drink. So I looked around and found less. Really great little app. You can document precisely what you do and don’t drink giving you the bigger picture and giving you targets to work towards. Recommended if you’re trying to log what you drink and cut down and go extended periods without booze..Version: 1.1.10

Great job developersKudos to whoever built this. It’s a high quality experience that’s helping people better themselves. Thank you! It’s sad to read the entitlement in some of the sub 5 star reviews. This is a free app that someone took the time to develop. Why are you complaining about not being able to import data from other apps or some minor color preferences. Again, great work devs!.Version: 1.0.7

Decent overall, but still a few kinksAs other people have pointed out, there should be the ability to set daily limits, tell me how many calories/dollars I’ve saved by NOT drinking, etc. I’ve also experienced the “logged a drink one day, then had it vanish the following day” issue, and also noticed that I can only log one drink at a time via Siri—telling it “log two drinks” doesn’t get recognized. I’m also not sure why hitting my daily limit causes Less to mark it as “over limit” on the calendar. Overall, though—it’s a perfectly serviceable app that’s allowed me to keep track of (and cut down on) my drinks. That’s all I really need in the end..Version: 1.1.10

Simple but effectiveIf you’re honest with your tracking, it shows how well you’re doing..Version: 1.1.10

Simple to useHelps keep on track w/o pressure..Version: 1.1.8

Money savedIt would be good to have the amount you have saved based around historic consumption instead of how much you have spent.Version: 1.1.10

Beautiful app"Five years ago, I used Less to successfully quit drinking, and it changed my life. However, I never managed to kick the smoking habit. I wish Less could expand its scope to cover smoking as well, as its approach to tracking and reducing habits is unparalleled. Still, an amazing app that has helped me make a positive change!".Version: 1.1.10

Download itI love this app, it’s really helped me to track my drinking and slow down. My main suggestion is that you should be able to change when the day changes mainly because I don’t track my days based on 12am -12am I usually start drinking in the late evening and go until 2-4 am which makes it kind of awkward logging my drinks for the previous day before I go to sleep. Otherwise it’s a great app that I’d highly recommend to anyone trying to show down control or track their habit. :).Version: 1.1.10

The math is frequently off… so Force close to refreshGreat app, but when the app comes back from being in the background (say a day or two later) it often needs to refresh what day it is and the current daily tally. Pretty obvious when it’s my first drink of the day and there’s already two there. Possibly compounding this issue is using Siri to say “add a drink”. This is an awesome use of Siri, but I think it too it isn’t always targeting the right day. As an Apple Dev myself, I know this is difficult to test in a live environment because the Xcode Simulator isn’t going to leave something running in the background for days at a time. But devs, there is definitely something going on. And no, it’s not a case of forgetting that post midnight drinks count toward the next day. Gets 5 stars anyway, because I’m sure this will get resolved eventually and at that point, it’s perfect.Version: 1.1.10

Good app but some issuesGood app to keep track on your sober challenges. Only issue is that there is no health app intergration and the longest daily streak is stuck at 99. Can’t seem to register 100 days+ for the longest streak, even though the actual streak is higher..Version: 1.1.10

Simple, but helpfulThis app is really useful for tracking drinking, but could benefit from a couple of small changes. First more accurate measure to either allow half pints or better yet exact measures. Second allow records of drinking prior to installation to be added retrospectively.Version: 1.1.4

Simple and effectiveGreat app, doesn’t over complicate things and has very useful tips and resources..Version: 1.1.0

This is an awesome appProvides interesting historical data and it’s fun to use.Version: 1.1.1

My Favorite TrackerI’ve tried just about every drink tracker on the App Store and this one is my favorite. It’s easy to use, straightforward and lets you consider your alcohol consumption from several different angles all at once. It’s definitely helping me make better choices - and it’s free! I would pay for it!.Version: 1.1.10

I’d pay for more featuresThis is from the same developers as Zero, a fasting app. It was free for a year or two and then they added pay-for features. I happily pay for Zero now. I’m hoping this is the same model they are using for Less. Very simple, aesthetically pleasing app to use now but hopefully they will add more pay-for features later. I’d really like to be able to adjust price of drinks as I log them and calories if I wish. I also like what another user suggested to be able to do half drinks. Right now I track my alcohol budget through the YNAB budgeting app but it’s a household budget, not just me. I track my calories in Cronometer but it’s not really convenient for just alcohol/accountability. I want a separate tracker for all alcohol related variables. I’d love to see calories consumed+price+number of drinks all in one place, hopefully you guys will deliver!.Version: 1.1.5

AmazingBeautiful design, so clean and smart..Version: 1.1.5

Would give 5 stars if app connected data in Health appI hope this is in the works..Version: 1.1.10

SensationalThe best app on the market to cut down or stop drinking. What a fantastic design. These developers also do and amazing fasting App called Zero. Would love to see them also do an app for sleep! Thank you!!!! - A yearly calendar view would also be amazing to see long term progress !!!!.Version: 1.1.3

Great concept, love the simplicityI absolutely love this app. I was looking at other apps to cut back on my drinking a little and everything was too expensive or complex. The only thing that I would need for this to be five stars is for you to be able to change your weekly limit week by week: for example, last week my limit was 12 drinks, and I drank 12 drinks, this week I want to change the limit to 11. However, when I do that, it says last week I was over my limit. Can you fix this?.Version: 1.1.10

Helped me cut my drinking down by 90%I hardly ever review apps, but I had to review this one. It’s super no - intrusive unlike a lot of other apps. It’s doesn’t want me to sign up, or join a group, or analyse my behaviour. It just lets my track my drinks, and very occasionally sends me a push notification to ask if I’m drinking and forgot to log it. Brilliantly done. I’d pay $10 for this..Version: 1.1.10

Simple to useUnsure how the animation of the ship helps…but just started to use the app and I like its simplicity.Version: 1.1.9

GoodVery good app, however there is lag when scrolling in the calendar.Version: 1.1.6

I like everything about this app except for the iconSimple and yet very effective..Version: 1.0.6

Almost ThereI really like the app, it was easy to set up. But there seems to be no way to change my daily limit. It says I go over the daily limit on different days, when I have a 6 drink a week limit and don’t drink all week until Friday or Saturday and have even 2-3 it tells me I went over my limit for that week. Even if I stayed at or under my weekly limit. I don’t want it set to have one drink a day for 6 days. Please let it change daily limits, doesn’t feel “guilt free” and “no judgement” tracking and having it tell me I go over, and it’s red. I’m trying to use this to be more mindful of overall consumption and give my body a break on more days of the week. Not to feel like I’m failing when I have 3 drinks on Friday and saved them up from the week..Version: 1.1.3

Really solid, almost perfectI’ve been using a similar app to track drinking, but given that it want built for the purpose it wasn’t a great fit. Setting a weekly number of drinks goal has been really helpful. My only complaint is the stats are somewhat limited. Would love to see some improvements like more robust graphs and charts like Sleep Cycle or Habitify..Version: 1.0.9

Simple and lovelyBeen trying to cut back my drinking this year and I love how easy this app is! No searching for drink titles etc... The calendar view is lovely and makes it easy to see the red days :-/ I’m trying to reduce that and stay in the blues and greens :) it definitely makes me more aware and mindful of my drinking trends... So excited to see new features - any preview for what’s on the roadmap?.Version: 1.0.4

Makes a real differenceIf you track it, it will change. You might know how much you drink, but just having to see it in black and white leads to improvement. One thing the app needs: set start date (or re-start date). Say you’ve been drinking 4-6 drinks a night every night and you decide to make a change on March 1. There’s not really a way to make that the start date of your new lifestyle of moderation. So for the rest of the year, the app acts like you had no drinks all of January and February – which isn’t true, you just hadn’t started yet..Version: 1.1.10

A really great appI love this app. It’s so easy to use. Unlike other apps I don’t feel like I’m being “told off” for drinking too much but by seeing what I am drinking week by week, I set myself little challenges and have noticed a reduction. Slightly annoying- the yearly trend appears to delete the previous months data each month, so I can’t see my progress over time. I like visuals so a graph showing my progress would be very helpful and motivating..Version: 1.1.3

Beautiful appBeen searching for a nice tracker to better be in charge of my drinking for a while and this is by far the nicest app. No unnecessary frills and the graphics are really cute and encouraging. I just wish the developing team could spend some resources on updating it. The app doesn’t always seem to synch well with the amount of drinks entered. And maybe add a few more fun features like severe weather, ship breaking, Leslie getting sea sick, etc to really show the severity. Plus aloe for better comparison on the weekly stats. Id love to keep using it and am recommending to all my friends..Version: 1.1.10

Overall useful and beautiful!Overall useful and beautiful app! I enjoy using it to track my drinks and look at patterns over time. I do wish that the settings were more customizable. For example, allowing the daily limit to be set separately from the weekly limit. Hope to see the app continue to improve!.Version: 1.1.10

UsefulEarly days with it but making me mindful of what I’m drinking. Set a limit of 10 drinks per week. Keen to see how fast I can get that boat going, like to see Leslie skiing behind it 🤣.Version: 1.1.8

Best & Only Real Option of its KindI’ve tried several different apps. Habit trackers, creating custom templates in journaling apps etc. Nothing is specifically heard towards curbing your alcohol, until I found this app. It’s great! I look forward to future updates— the recent addition of the calendar view makes me think they have a good idea of what should be improved..Version: 1.0.3

Good, but…This is a good little app, but would be great with a few additions: (1) it should have daily goals on drinking nights - this is as important as weekly goals; (2) multiple reminders on drinking night - when you add a drink so it knows you’re drinking that night, occasional reminders you can setup to tell you to slow down or drink water would be great..Version: 1.1.10

Nice simple appNice simple app. Clean and does what it says on the tin. Needs offline support however. Like the support for AppleID and data export..Version: 1.1.5

This one’s a winner!I’ve really enjoyed using Less so far. It’s quick get in and out when adding a drink, and the stats help me know how much I’m actually consuming over time. I’d love a home screen widget and the ability to change the size/strength of of drink..Version: 1.1.9

Good and Simple!I really like the app. It is simple and gives me all I need: just record the drinks without difficult selection of the drink type and simple stats. To give 5 stars (and consider a small one-time fee), I would appreciate: - setting a start date - integration with Apple Health - solving minor bugs.Version: 1.1.10

Less will help you be drink-awareI’m restricting alcohol for health reasons and having a place to record consumption and to see past performance is just what I need. The app is simple enough for anyone to use. You need to be aware what a drink is so look up units of alcohol in the tipples you enjoy. Make sure to record drinks. Don’t lie to yourself. Build in drink free days. Not drinking Monday to Thursday is a good way to achieve this..Version: 1.0.4

Could do with apple health integrationLove the design, very intuitive. Also love the idea of tracking calories / money from alcohol. However, there’s no apple health integration from what I could find and so I need to manually track in apple health if I want to be able to identify trends between alcohol and other health factors that I track.Version: 1.1.10

AmazingI am using Less now for about 2 months. Consciously writing down every evening or the next morning how many drinks I had. After 4 weeks I started to see spike patterns of 10 or 12 units followed by 1 or 2 days zero drinks. I realised where the spikes came from and was able to control them. My weekly average is down from 3.5 units/day to 2.5 units/day with a much more flat pattern in a range of 0 - 4..Version: 1.1.0

Great app! This app is fantastic for helping you keep track of the drinks you’ve had. The UI is easy and beautiful and I really enjoy using it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’d love an option to add half drinks. I work at a brewery and sample beer all the time and sometimes only have a couple ounces, but still want to log it. Hopefully there will be an update in the future that will allow me to do this..Version: 1.0.8

Pretty great way to be more mindful of your consumptionI think the notifications could be better tailored towards keeping you under your limit - like, if you don’t drink today, you’ll stay under your limit! Or you’ve gone three days without a drink, congrats! Or push how many calories you’ve just consumed… etc. not just, looks like you aren’t drinking today, but more active/proactive and encouraging. Still, pretty great. I love it..Version: 1.1.10

Great app. Thank you!Nice UX. Simple and effective. Nice job..Version: 1.1.3
