✓ DONT WAST YOUR MONEY ON GOLDIt’s a greats game but The exotic jeans aren’t even guaranteed even if you pay a lot of money to get gold to breed them to one of your horses. ✓ Decent game, but has its flaws.I like this game. It’s very unique amongst other horse racing games and has a brilliant story line and graphics. Another feature I really like is the unique coat patterns and markings in the horses. With that said, I think there could be more expanded on the whole breeding aspect. Having your own stud is practically useless because all your mares are likely related to him (I know this has no effect in the game but it’s just weird) and I also feel bag is all too common even with non bay pairings. I really like that you can now care for the foals but I feel like it could be expanded more. Or maybe even placing your horses in paddocks (different grazing gives bonuses or something?) With all that mentioned, my main issue with the game is the expenses. I feel like star club members are favourited and it makes it really hard to breed good horses unless you have star club. I feel like the competitions should have star club exclusives, to make it more fair for non-star club users to win prizes. I also feel like the game can be a bit repetitive..Version: 1.23

✓ Great game but...Hi Developers, this game looks amazing, it’s so much fun to play... A few complaints : why don’t we get to place bets on our races and win gold on the iOS version like I have seen on other versions?? It would be amazingly helpful and a lot more fun. The game makes it extremely hard to progress through goals without using real money to purchase gold, nearly impossible to free play. That’s how you lose probably 85-90% of players who would otherwise be dedicated to this game. Sure you’ll have your big spenders but it’s totally unfair on the rest of us who want a free play option. How about having event races where you can enter with gold and win gold?? The rose wheel is a joke..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Started out fun, now not so much.This game started out really fun for me but getting to more of the mid to end game content, it gets very grindy. Foals take days to breed. Then days to raise before you even get to training them. The new genetics system falls flat for me. I managed to get myself a mare with all A+ stats and found a stallion during a genetics event with all A+ and A stats to breed her to. The stud fee cost me 5000 gold. Thankfully I had had a bunch of gold banked for quite a while so I could breed to a nicer stud. The way the genetics is explained in the game is that the foals are the average of the parents. So if you take an A stat and breed it to a C stat you should get a B stat result. Well I bred these two A and A+ horses expecting a great foal out of it. The foal ended up having all B and C stats. This is definitely not the average of the parents and makes the game almost impossible to breed up any horse to better versions and breeding better blood lines. And the fact that I spent 5000 gold to create this foal was the icing on the cake. This was a game killer for me. Absolutely no longer have fun with this game. If you have any expectations of being able to better your horses without some random number generator look elsewhere..Version: 1.45

✓ Frustratingly SlowThis could be fantastic, but currently its painfully slow. Its weeks to level up Grade 5/6/7 horses as theres so many variations of what items you win when racing, you never get the required items for training. You get 3 races out of a full energy bar, (which takes 3 hours to fill), so you can only race 1 horse 1 time per hour. If youve a couple of horses in training (the goals to level up make you sell your best ones, so a sensible strategy to train 2) be prepared for at least a 2 week game play to reach max levels on a horse. Even then, the market doesnt provide what you need and only refreshes hourly. So your life is spent checking the market every hour, setting your alarm for when energy refilled to try and get items by racing. Its actually tortuous, but clearly designed to force purchases. In summary, great little game for the first few levels only..Version: 1.2
✓ Great game but.... they want your walletI’d like to vote this game 5 stars, it’s a beautifully made game with great racing a breeding mechanics for horse and sports fans. But the swing to make you spend money is really big, energy, good colours on your horse and even fancy saddles need money or a membership. They occasionally bring out nice exclusive horses which range from $20-50AUS!! For $50 you can buy the full pc game but in the app it buys you one horse that’s not even the highest tier racer. $50 can buy you a full racing game. More people would be willing to buy things from the game if the prices actually reflected their worth. At the moment even the subscription is expensive..Version: 1.15.1
✓ Hard to progress without spending moneyThis is a nice game which I downloaded based on it being featured on the store but it’s slow and really tough to progress on the story goals beyond stage 9 without spending money! At stage 9 you have a buy or breed goal that is pretty much a buy goal. It’s near impossible to breed one from your own stock so only option is use gold to buy one or use gold to rent a stallion to breed one. Either way you need gold and gold costs as it’s highly unlikely you would of saved enough from what you earned in game up to this point. I get the need to earn revenues and I get that in app purchases can accelerate progress but this is too heavily bias towards the purchase need. Having persisted and shown a lot of patience it’s a shame as I am now about to delete the app - I refuse to spend £10 just to achieve one goal at level 9! If I did then it’s probably only a matter of time before I will have to buy more gold to achieve another goal and I refuse to get drawn in In a nutshell...unless you’re willing to spend this game will pretty soon become a grind and frustrate you more than please you. Don’t bother and look elsewhere for a game that might just offer you the chance to keep progressing slowly without spending and not just come to a grinding halt!.Version: 1.0.3
✓ It’s okayThe game is over al pretty good but got boring very quickly when I first started plaything the game everything was fine and I would play all day but after that it started to get a little boring the tasks got very hard to complete and I spent 15 dollars plus tax on the game so I don’t want to stop now very recently the game has been giving me very bad lag so the raveling is much harder everything is so much more choppy and I lost 2000 dollars and 4 racing energy’s just because the game would not load.I also find it very hard to try and get better horses considering you have to buy it with real money or keep getting up levels that take FOREVER to get on the next,I find it very hard to enjoy this game when there are a lot of areas that they need to work on, for instance premium, ten dollars a month?! I find it very over priced considering you only getting tack options that you still have to pay for with in game money and access to other studs other then the premium is basically USELESS so although the game can seem fun at first try not to spend money on it because it got boring fast. Any people who are looking for k good game this one is okay but I rather recommend star stable it’s much more pricy there but at least you only have to pay one for premium and the game doesn’t get boring as there are many quests and things to do..Version: 1.25.1

I have spent near 100 on this game and pay for star club and no matter how many times I bred with star club studs or the special ones not once have a got a goal that is anything like the stud! Also energy runs out way to quick which causes people to lose interest in the game. For a game with so much potential is really disappointing to see the game seems so money hungry and to spend the amount I have and get nothing decent at all is ridiculous. ✓ Pay to play. Could be moreIt’s a genuinely good game and I love it but I’ve now been stuck at the same level for quite a while because I’m not a fan of having to spend my own money on a game. The value of silver is far too low for what things cost and the reward for gold is also too low thus making your player spend real life money just to get gold to go up levels or at least get some part of the way through the game. Like tack costing $50,000 for a basic bridle is ridiculous considering it does nothing for the horse and your race earnings are only a few thousand dollars, what’s the point of that. Half the time it feels like this is such a money grab on your behalf because you get to a point in the game where you pretty much have to spend real life money because the reward is so low compared to the price of things Also the game play could be better, like I don’t understand how you can use a sprinter in races over 1400m and still win, just small things could better, maybe adding in a freeplay where you can ride your own horses without having to race them, being able to train the horses yourself instead looking at a timer for it. add a community section where game players can interact with other people and make a community market where people can sell/buy/trade there own items and there own homebred horses to one another..Version: 1.6
✓ Good, but a couple of things...When I first started playing, I was amazed. The animations are great, it’s a good concept and I was satisfied. But the more I played, the lower I thought of the game. It’s almost impossible to do anything with out the Star Club- a paid membership. One thing the star club gives you is gold. I would strongly recommend adding a trading feature into the game, whether it’s trading with real people or fake people. For example, I think it would be nice to be able to exchange silver for gold. I understand that gold was put into the game (most likely) to encourage people to pay for it, and I understand that. Perhaps being able to trade gold for silver with a high rate wouldn’t be too bad. Eg. 1,000 silver = 10 gold. Or something similar. Another thing that happened quite recently was that I was breeding, as you do. I’m at level 9, so I’ve saved up a lot of gold form leveling up. I had about 1,000 gold and I really wanted to try and get a grade 5 horse, so I paid over 600 gold to try and get it. The chances of getting a grade 5 horse was 60%, and grade 4 horse was 40%. But what do you know! I get a grade 4 horse. I’m just annoyed because I spent all my gold for nothing. Anyway, if you’ve made it to the end of this review- congrats! This has been LONG. But if you want to get this game and don’t want to spend too much money, still get it-! But keep in mind that you might only be able to get a certain way through. ✓ It’s good but needs so much improvementWaiting time: the time it takes for stuff to happen at any point in the game is extraordinarily over done. Hey you want to upgrade this tiny feature just so you can have some coins, okay well I hope your happy to wait 3hours and not be able to breed, race or train any of your horses :D In short, I get adding waiting times however, the way it has been implemented disabled the player, and will scare off players, due to the insane waiting times, I mean, of course it would, if training your best horse takes 1hour, the players are going to drop the game. The waiting times should be Stables: The stables feature is very lazy, there is such a limited amount of stalls, taking from the idea of collecting and breeding all the different coat colours. A better idea for the stables would be once you max out the stables, you can upgrade to a different farm we’re you can keep more horses, that way you can own way more horses, and flick through your different stables. This feature would be for those who have finished the game and just wish to discover all the different horses. Conclusion: in conclusion, this game is great and has great graphics, but it has lots of room for improvement in huge areas of the game, I would be very hesitant to recommend this to anybody. The waiting times in particular are debilitating and has nearly caused me to delete this otherwise perfect game!.Version: 1.18.1
✓ Great game but very tediousI love this game, but when you start to progress to higher levels it becomes a lot of waiting and repetitive action. Especially trying to level them up to train higher levels. And even if you have a jockey race them for you, you still have to sit and wait for the duration of the race which I find makes the jockeys pointless. I was considering purchasing it on steam but I’m concerned I’m going to spend $50 and end up with a game I just have to watch and wait. I love the premise of e game, with thoroughbred racing and breeding, it’s just the extended periods of wait time that are putting me off playing..Version: 1.26
✓ Could be so much betterGreat game to start with, achievable goals, awesome graphics and has you hooked. It’s the kind of game fifteen years ago you’d of paid £20 for and been happy with (without all the waiting and ads). The massive downside is once you get so far (about level 5 horse/prestige 11) everything takes hours to do, you end up just checking in on the game to set another timer off for two/three hours. The goals become less and less frequent so you get less rewards. Unless you’re planning on spending mega bucks on it, it just becomes boring, no new cross country courses and every race is the same thing. I’d rather of paid the initial upfront cost and not had the ads or waiting. It feels like the game is developed up to a certain point and then … nothing..Version: 1.29

✓ It’s addictive and a great game howeverI absolutely love this game however I’m not willing to pay for gold to get what I need to where I’d like to or need to be! The videos that you have ie ads don’t always load even restarting the games doesn’t always work it gets frustrating cause the only way to advance in the game is to watch the ads when u don’t have gold to use or don’t have money to purchase from the market place to complete the tasks if you made the gold earnings a higher amount and a little easier for those that don’t or can’t spend that extra cash or maybe when u win enough silver allow the players the choice to turn it into gold if this game doesn’t fix what needs to be fixed I certainly won’t be paying for a free game.Version: 1.0.2
✓ Hmmmm... *edited*This game is really good in terms of graphics and the actual game play but when I tried to by some basic speed feed my money went but I didn’t get any. Tried refreshing but didn’t work other than that really good but not much use if you have the same problem as I did. Nobody else has said anything about it so I would recommend getting but don’t spend any real money on it cause it might not work. If you (developers) could just brush up on this it would be awesome! *Edit* This game is getting worse. TJ’s pick is totally unreliable. I raced my horse (virtual sky) in Sewell meadows race 3 as suggested and came last even with on of the professional jockeys. I then raced one of my other horses (jagged eclipse) and won with me riding. The horses genes do not transfer to the foals. I really wanted a white horse so I got Jagged Eclipse (palomino) and then got one of the palomino horses from the stud farm and guess what: I GOT A BAY!!!!! I checked the pedigree and the stud farm horse was all palomino and mine was too apart from one horse who was her grandad (I think). I was really irritated. You also get stallions bred really rarely. This is really bad as there is no chance that in real life that 90% of the time you get mares. ✓ Great for just starting! However,The actual gameplay is really great. However the game has slowly become a pay to win game. Unless you want to wait 12 hours just to level your horse up once you have to pay to skip it. I slowly have become bored with the game due to the fact things take way too long to do. I’m also a little salty because I have this game on PC and they haven’t updated it in forever. PLEASE UPDATE THE PC VERSION. I’m frustrated by this because I love the game so much I spent a lot of money to get the PC version and it’s totally ignored while the mobile version gets major updates. I also would suggest adding a pasture so you can keep older horses in it once you don’t want to race them anymore. I like that the horses don’t have a retirement age however I’d like to add more horses into my barn but older horses (that are maxed) take up space. Maybe when a horse becomes maxed you could add an option to move them into a pasture? They wouldn’t be allowed to race but could breed and you could still have the option of selling them later on. I know a lot of people get attached to the horses so that would be a great option to include in the future so we don’t have to sell our old loved horses in order to make more room in the barn! ✓ Fun until level 7Once you have reached level 7 and have type 4 horses, it now takes forever to accomplish any goals. And it’s not even because it’s strategically challenging (at least that would be interesting$; there’s barely any strategy, just a random algorithm not giving the required items most of the time to continue to play. For example, you need to win a rival race, but your horse need to train more for it (logical). All ok! But despite winning tons of other races, you never get the required items to train your horse for the rival race. And despite having all the gold, roses and 300 000 virtual dollars you can’t even buy these items. The principle of gamification is not « only » the reward aspect and the badges or gold collections, it’s also to have fun playing it. But even that is not possible; after few races your have used all the energy despite having many different horses. At least give the same amount of energy to each horse! Also, why having so much virtual money if there is no use for it? To buy another inferior level horse? To buy unnecessary items? At least make that virtual currency (instead of gold) buy more energy to race so we can at least have the impression of winning from time to time relevant training items, like the lottery machine, so the user still stick to it. Like stated before, it’s ok not to win: racing is the fun part and contribute to the incentives of the game without having to have a reward all the time. I think a lot of users will abandoned because up to a certain level, it become too time consuming for the smaller and smaller amount of fun time played. ✓ Nice game but slowThis is a lovely looking game as far as the horses go, because they’re all that is active in this game. The homestead, storage, training facility are all just suggested areas. There is no actual training facility and no homestead you can see growing with your upgrades, even the stables are just the horses poking their heads over doors. I’d like to see more actual real areas to go, someone has mentioned free riding and a paddock? It would be easy to adapt the racing track scene and make a training track rather than just spend money to watch a clock count down your ‘training’. There isn’t really much to actually do here apart from level up training facilities, storage and the homestead which you just have to pretend are there. Even training up your horses becomes boring because after 4/5 mins, voila your horse is trained - you see and do nothing, and even the races have limited appeal. So it just becomes monotonous clicking of buttons. Every goal you complete awards the set 10 gold coins and it takes an age to build up, if you want to buy stock it costs a fair few coins and no I don’t want to pay £8.99 a month to be part of ‘the elite club’. ✓ Was a good game - but now just too frustrating *Edited*I really liked this game initially and have had it for about 6 months now. The developers have been very helpful and quick to respond to queries. The game is gripping and the horses are realistic. My original complaints were that the game kept crashing - it started off with once a day then increased, which is frustrating as it means money, energy or tickets are lost - and that you need family or real friends to exchange goods with, rather than virtual friends or other players. Messages are posted on Facebook, which I don’t have, and although I can see some of them, I’m unable to view them all. The developers suggested I restart my device to stop the crashing but sadly this did not work. I am now on level 17 (out of 20, I think) and the game crashes now more than ever - on average, 5+ times a day! I am close to giving up as I just keep losing winnings and events tickets. Also it’s virtually impossible to start a race at the correct time at higher levels, which is extremely frustrating to say the least. UPDATE: At higher levels the game is very frustrating and unreliable. The odds mean nothing as they are nearly always wrong and much money is lost by believing them. I may try the desktop version when it’s released but I cannot be bothered to pursue the last 3 levels of this game..Version: 1.7
✓ Not worth itThis game is definitely not worth it. I downloaded it being someone who love horses, especially these games and was super intrigued at first. It was fun and easy to play for about a day or so, and then I discovered its many downfalls. Not only is it expensive to get in the Star Club, $10 a month for almost no benefits. The gold is hard to get and needed to purchase so many things. All the costs of gold are incredibly high, and buying gold is incredibly expensive. Not only this but the time it takes to complete tasks is outrageous. 24 hours. I don't enjoy not being able to race because the only horse it will let me race is currently training for the next hour or so. I am also a bit upset that the races are so hard to do well in. I have a horse with really high stats that can barely keep up with the other horses in the race while sprinting. I have tried everything to improve my horses, endless hours of training, jockeys, and as much as I can and I feel lucky to swing third place. When I first started out I was doing so well, claiming firsts left and right even at some harder races. Now the same horse with higher stats is coming in next to last while I sit frustrated as to why the average pace of the npc horses is faster than my horses sprint. I'm truly disappointed and I don't recommend this game. I'm in love with the graphics and how the real the horses are, shame everything is else not so great..Version: 1.0
✓ Love the game, it’s fantastic, but... needs urgent tweaking!You really need to stop blocking us from upgrading our facilities while we’re working our way up to the next level, because we’re having to race almost endlessly and I’m finding I have to sell almost everything I win while I’m waiting to level up, which kind of defeats the object of winning. It’s so frustrating losing/having to get rid of important items because you won’t allow us to use them on the things they’re meant to be used on, when we want to. It’s the one thing that I feel needs urgent tweaking, certainly for upgrading the storehouse at the very least, whenever we want, to keep from having to sell things all the time. It is absolutely ruining the entire game. I don’t really understand why you feel the need to prevent us from upgrading facilities before reaching the next level, which can take quite a long time. If it isn’t changed pretty soon I can’t see me continuing to spend money on or even use this app, which would be a shame because I love every other aspect of the game. One other issue I’ve noticed which really needs fixing too, is when I win sponsorship money after a race, pressing collect (opting to watch the video), or opening the free prize box in market, the video many times fails to load altogether. To fix this I have to close down the app completely and restarting it, then I lose the sponsorship prize money, or free prize from the box in the market..Version: 1.5.2
✓ DecentNo bad, but could be great. It needs a creation hub, so little in game variety as opposed to the variety of patterns IRL is such a waste of potential. Even a few more variations of current patterns available would break up the monotony, for example, every pinto, pinto fade & BC is exactly the same. Genes in pedigrees when compared to the actual results of breedings are a bit of a hodgepodge. Gold packs are also annoyingly overpriced & have no real value for money, mainly due to how little you can actually do with them given to the cost of things as you level up. Sorry guys, but £18-£20 for a pretty 5 star horse with 1 stall is no real incentive to spend money. Especially when it’s practically impossible to breed them for their pattern. Spanky the cash cow developers are nothing new in the world of mobile games, but to make that work long term you need the goods & variety to keep it up. Unfortunately this game just reminds me of a few PerBlue & other companies games that tried the same strat with just as few in game options…It’s quite telling that those games were sold on to other companies due to so many players quitting & are now longer around. ✓ Great game but too expensive to continueThis games great. Great animations, great sound effects, great gameplay. BUT! It’s too expensive to continue. I can’t get the parts I need to continue with the campaign without spending gold. Silver is basically worthless, I’ve banked about $250,000. This game becomes a pay to play. You either have to grind for way too long, (currently trying to get a standard acceleration upgrade to breed a level 4 horse but it’s become just too hard.) or pay to buy gold to get what you need. Gold rewards aren’t high enough. Online races are the easiest way to get what you need but they don’t come round quick enough, they have their own payment system and the wheel increases too much to get the good prizes. I’ll happily watch ads over paying for things any day. You had a game that caught my attention but it’s quickly losing it. You need to change things up to keep players playing. Let the 10% of people who pay do so, but don’t make it too hard so everyone has to eventually pay. At this point I’m going to probably have to let the game go which doesn’t give you any money not even ad revenue. In summary, make silver more valuable, make upgrades cheaper and easier, and find a better balance between grinding to win and paying to win..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Was great but now repetitiveI didn’t think I would like this game as it was just horse racing but now I am so glad I downloaded it and am playing, especially the cross country. The graphics are fantastic. I would like to see more tack sets that you could buy as a package discount either with gold or money and hope the special holiday tack sets can be bought that way as a lot of people would not be able to win them at events. That would be a great shame at special times. I would also like to see show jumping if at all possible, maybe copying some real courses. So far this is a great game. Levels take a long time to complete and now cross country has been completed it is now getting a little boring with no storyline. As if it isn’t enough to force players to view sponsored content (which I’m not against) you literally limit the number of times paid-for advertisers can advertise to your audience. What’s your goal here? Advertisers sign up because they want users to click, you take on advertisers because they pay you money... I’m coming to the conclusion that you limit ads because you assume the expected value of users paying for in-app upgrades is higher that the opportunity cost of advertisers? It’s hella annoying. ✓ So much potentialThis game could be so good. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is really good and it’s very addictive. Why do you have to go spoiling it by making everything take so long to complete, which means we have to spend most of our time watching endless videos just to get the basic things finished. I understand that big upgrades need to take time, I have no issue with this. But when you can’t even train your horse after wining a race without waiting 30+ minutes or watching a tonne of videos, it gets boring. It doesn’t help that when you do finish a race the first thing that comes up is the sponsored payment that you have to again watch a video to receive. The tutorial was amazing, I could train my horses instantly, meaning I could race and improve my stats then on to the next race. As soon as I had a few wins under my belt I was then hit with 30+ minutes of wait time per training category - and I have 4 categories to go through. You don’t even give us an option to set all 4 training categories at once so we can at least get them all out of the way at the same time. I downloaded this app and I was addicted right from the start. The features you’ve added are fantastic, but you’ve put more focus on making money from your sponsored videos than you have on us who actually enjoy playing the game. Change this so that we can train our horses without waiting hours or watching endless 30 second videos and I think you’ll have a game that is second to none..Version: 1.22.1

✓ Fun but a bit slow paced...I like the Rival Stars Racing game a lot but once you hit like horse level 4 it becomes really hard to advance any further. Too many actions that require so much time to complete like training, which is definitely done purposely to push you towards making micro transactions. Currency is just too hard to get and without gold it’s really hard to do anything. Plenty of (almost) useless silver though..Version: 1.44
