✓ My boys love thisI don’t normally purchase iPad games to be honest, there are so many free ones which are great. But I decided to buy all the in-app purchases on this game as my boys get so much out of it. I initially got the app so they could play it on our long journey to Florida (the youngest - 3 - is obsessed with Thomas although the oldest - 5 - wasn’t really that bothered). Anyway it’s now all they play. They play it for 10 minutes before school in the morning and for 20 minutes after school - they get so much out of it as they have to design their own tracks so it kind of feels educational to some extent. Then they love watching the trains drive along the tracks they’ve designed. The more they play the more new trains/tracks etc they get. They are both now totally obsessed with Thomas and it’s all they talk about. This has been the case for the last month, ever since we got the game. It’s actually fun to design your own track when the children are at school!.Version: 1.2

The one thing to be careful of... and when I thought this was the app dev’s fault, I was annoyed, turns out it’s Apple’s family sharing that’s the problem... is that you can’t family share in-app purchases. ✓ Best Thomas Game Ever MadeOk so I am going to bullet-point my reasons below as I had written a review just now but it somewhat deleted so here… -A fellow reviewer THE FU5E is 100% wrong as there are no ads whatsoever. Something about his/her review makes me think that she/he just isn’t really keen on Thomas and lies about the game to make it seem worse than it is. -I paid £9.99 for the full experience and when I first started using the other track pieces, minis, etc, I felt like I was in heaven. ✓ Great, but just needs a few more things and suchThis game, being released in 2018, is great, and is ironic considering the show was at a low point at this time, however, there could be a few more suggestions here and there or whatever. First off, probably either bring back the “Sir Topham Hatt only allows three engines on this layout” or maybe increase the amount of engines to put on a layout, I’d be leaning towards the latter, but former would be nice to have back, I actually find it kinda funny! Second, add more slots to make train sets, there could be a layout or two a child would love the most, and they’d probably be sad when they have to delete that layout, so I suggest making like 17 or so more slots for train sets idk.. Third, I’d like to see more engines in the game, like maybe Henry, Edward, Skarloey, Ferdinand, Luke, the list goes on. And probably give engines like Henry and Ferdinand the treatment that engines like Bert, Victor, and Millie got, and engines like Edward get the treatment that many of the other trains in the game got (like maybe give them five or seven sets) Lastly, I’d like more engines to be free like Thomas and not in the paywall or whatever it’s called like Percy, characters like Bertie, Skarloey, Luke, and Nia could be great additions, though this could be me nitpicking Overall, this game gets 4.5 stars, but since App Store doesn’t allow people to do half star ratings, I’m giving it five.Version: 2023.3.0

That one thing is that buying all the expansions cost over $70 which is pretty ridicules. ✓ Great game for the price!My son and I enjoy building together but the repetitive advertisements for more stuff does get a little annoying. A previous reviewer said they couldn’t find tunnels to go different ways (horizontal vs. vertical) that took us a while to figure out, too: lay some plain tracks pieces across the area you want to put the tunnel (or whatever) then when you carry the tunnel over that area, it will automatically flip to match the existing track. This is different than the instructions! Hey developers, you could change the game instructions to reflect this :). Overall my favorite free game for my 3 yr old. So yeah, I’m about to buy one of the expansion packs because it’s hard to say no to a 3 yr old stuck at home in a pandemic... 😆.Version: 1.6

✓ Review and Requests.I personally love this game, it’s at the top the list compared to others i’ve played, and there won’t be a reboot update unless Mattel re-themes the Minis brand. The only issue is the paywall, I bought James and i’m having a blast with the cool stuff he comes with as you read this. ✓ Great game- here's how to rotate pieces!My 3 year old loves playing this. There are so many different track pieces to design with, very fun! As for rotating pieces, I accidentally finally figured it out. If you have a west-east tunnel and you'd like it to be north-south, drag it above a normal west-east track and the tunnel will flip! I can't get the special elaborate roller coaster pieces to flip but this works for bridges, the cleaner, paint, tunnel and many other small special tracks..Version: 1.1

✓ Unlocking trainsMy 3 year old son loves this game and I think it’s great as well. The only problem I have is I have bought Gordon and Millie packs but we have not been able to unlock all the trains for the packs. Both me and my son play and no golden gears show up.
