✓ Surprised PlayerSo, I’ve played my fair share of games that involve a gacha system (like Fate/GO) and was expecting this to have some of the same awful rates. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see how F2P friendly this game is. You’re pretty much handed two SRs at the start, and as long as you do 10 summons with the mystery tickets, it seems that you’re guaranteed at least one SR. Overall, this is a really nice game. The mechanics are easy to get used to, it’s easy to build a good team, the graphics are nice, and it’s really enjoyable. I suggest that you try it out..Version: 1.0.44

✓ Such a good game!I’ve played quite a few RPG’s, both on phone and pc. It’s hard to find passionate RPG/gacha/battler games with creativity and attention to detail often times. I’m not saying this game is perfect, the gacha rate isn’t really fair. It says the pull rates but they’re off somewhat. You could only have 1-2 SSR shikigami on your account and in an SSR up rate event and will still pull the shiki you already have even though by reason the statistics don’t add up given the number of SSR and SP in this game. But the game is still what I would consider a passion project and the best thing about this game is that the R and SR’s are often more useful than the SP’s/SSR’s. You can also wish for SSR and SP shards in your guild to redeem SSRS and Sp you don’t have. The storyline is wonderful but extremely convoluted at times. All in all 8/10.Version: 1.6.8

✓ Underrated!!!Everything is great quality - the art, the story, the characters. The game is about Japanese folklore so if you're interested in that definitely give the game a go. Gameplay might be confusing at first but trust me it gets very fun and investing. Also it is very F2P friendly tho it may not appear that way at first, bcos the game rewards u more for time invested compared to money spent. ✓ By far my favorite app game, but please fix the dueling systemI honestly love this game to pieces, even for having tremendous amount of "bad luck" and never summoning any fancy SSR, you can still enjoy the game to the fullest if you put in some time, which is something you nearly never see in a mobile game. The one thing I would like some improvement on is the dueling system, more often than not I get matched with someone way above my skill level. I'm level 30 and don't have any SSRs and always get matched with people level 40+ and it's frustrating getting wiped out 2 minutes in everytime. When I do group duels it's the same problem, or I'll even get matched with someone with a lower skill level and we have to face two people in the level 50 range. If anything it would be neat if you could pick a tier on what level to play on (and maybe have all the characters set to the same level like in the Pokemon online system; I can't remember the name of it but it would set everyone at level 50 so at least it felt like a fair fight) so you could play around with different characters and strategies. ✓ Long time player reviewI started this game a few months after it came to global. This game has expanded so much (I’m nearing my 1000th login next month) and I’ve met friends around the world now. Story and game mechanics are well fleshed out. No two teams are the same with the various layers of synergy and composition that makes a single team. The community is lively and helpful. A little grindy? Maybe. But when you have a partner or mentor run with you it’s a lot easier and faster. Pvp is difficult when first start off but get involved with guilds and members that frequently duel and you can slowly learn the ropes. Customer service could be much better but hopefully you won’t need it. It’s completely possible to never spend a dime in the game but know you’ll probably have to grind a little extra to get better drops. If you decide to play talk to other players to help you get started. The beginning is a little overwhelming but easier to get through with the in game mentor system..Version: 1.6.18

✓ Like summoners war! But liking it better so far.I’ve played summoners war(a game similar to this) for about 2-5 years and I’ve pretty much got nothing other than farming to do. I’ve been searching for a similar and possibly better game to entertain me and stumbled upon this beauty. The graphics are really well made and already much better than summoners war. I liked the idea of more interactive summoning like drawing pentagrams, ar summons, and voice summons. ✓ Bad ChristmasUPDATE: I’ve left the old message so anyone can see what I had said before. I’ve changed my rating to a full 5 stars as the problems seem to have been fixed. I’m not entirely certain that they have as I had to do a complete delete and redownload to get it to work correctly but it appears functional for now. Since the Christmas update, December 25, 2019, the app for iOS has been buggy as hell. Not only did I have to erase the entire game and redownload it just to get it from sticking at the entrance screen, but certain parts of the game now cause crashes. I should point out that this is a magnificent game. It’s beautiful and extremely fun, though a bit on the expensive side, but it’s still always been fun. Also, this game has NEVER, and I mean NEVER crashed for me, until the Christmas update. I’m still giving 4 stars though my gut says I should cut it down to two until these problems are fixed, but I like the game too much to do that. Oh, and one specific thing; every time I go to the Team area, the game instantly crashes now and the Christmas Boss is causing similar problems. Please fix this guys..Version: 1.0.93

✓ Great Gatcha Designs!This is one of my favorite gatcha games for the designs and the passive grind. The auto mode allows you to easily get more materials for upgrading things. Getting more jade for summons is also reasonable especially when there is an event going on. I’m glad that they have a Steam port so I could play on my computer instead. ✓ Great! But..So I really enjoy this game a lot, I love rpgs that require grinding but I do have some things that do bother me a little... FIRST: the game sits in my App Store saying it needs to update, but when I update it says that it cannot be updated. Then it gives me the option to be 'done' or 'retry' but if I try to do any of those it just gives me the same error again. My connection is really good so I don't think it's a internet problem. SECOND: The gameplay is great but leveling up your characters is really hard. I hate having to keep going into the same area over and over again and checking up on my phone to see if the battles over. ✓ Best iOS RPG i’ve ever played.Finally a game that doesnt require you to sink boatloads of real cash into just to squeeze an ounce of entertainment! For a hardcore ROg fan like me, this game inplements all the fun of turn-based action with none of the auto-play BS that most mobile games employ. The writing and translation is perfectly done, which is a shocker because so many import mobile games are god-awful in this regard. The content and story, along with the artwork and character voicing is superb. All in all I am entirely shocked and pleasantly surprised by this fantastic game! ✓ Glued to the screenGreat game, lots of different characters who can be used in many different ways. Lots of events for beginners and always something to do. My only problem is levelling souls and totems, instead of having both using souls to level them up I would suggest instead of using souls to level up souls you should just use coins, and as you further level up a soul make the price slowly rise as well and introduce a failure rate. Beginners who can’t afford to rank up souls or totems because lack of souls or coins have a harder chance against slightly more experienced players or players who pay for the game. ✓ This game is actually decentWhat do I like about this game exactly? Well, to show that I am a real person so you actually believe me when I tell you I like it, I can tell you its flaw. The graphic seem pixelated on devices that aren’t the best of the best, the stories are a bit long winded and the formatting or more the system of the game like in-game currency and quests and such are just as typical as any discount Japanese ripoff. But what do I like about it? I love the graphics, it is done very beautiful and the battle system is actually fun. It is also very rewarding when it comes to time spent and if you spent a good couple of hours on it, you can really feel like you are doing something. I love the concepts of the spirits and how they use them and find a lot of cool similarities to the manga Shaman King that isn’t ripping it off but taking those core ideas and making something special out of it. It isn’t perfect but I suggest you give it a chance and although the download screen where you legitimately wait 10 minutes to see it download seem tedious, let me tell you that it is a great way to get familiar with the story and something that really helps you understand the game better. Would I rather not have the download and instead have this as a separate cutscene? What really surprised me was the famous VA that are part of the project - the first three characters you come across are voiced by the VA’s who also voice Sasuke in Naruto, Kagura in Gintama and Chopper in One Piece. It doesn’t get much bigger than that, so if an anime fan, that definitely draws you in. Gameplay is interesting, plenty of shikigami stop it being repetitive, and there’s an auto function if you want to sail through some of the easier levels. ✓ Super F2P friendlyI was squealing for joy when I got my first SSR today (or maybe yesterday?) thing is I also managed to snag a free Ubume which is the best SR unit to have if you don’t have the luck to draw one of the big boys/gals. You can farm for resources and these rare currency called “Jades” that can be traded for 11 Mystery Charms And coins, though you need 1,000 of them which can take awhile to earn. Besides that I really hope I get the elusive Ootengu because he’s very popular and powerful. No cache for guild chat logs makes it difficult to coordinate with guild mates as your messages are only seen by people logged in at the time they were posted. 2. The daily limit of friendship points you can send or receive . You can have up to 80 friends but it’s not really worth having more than 15 or so due to the limitations. ✓ The crashes need to endI’ve been playing this game for over a year, and I’ve loved it for a long time to spend a decent amount of money to support it even though you don’t need to. However, in the last update it introduced some of the most horrendous crashing I have seen in any game and that was more than a month ago. Sometimes I can’t be in the game for more than 30 seconds before I crash again. I switch what I’m doing and need to move souls around, I crash again. I’m in a duel which is rated by wins and losses and I crash again, making it an auto lose. I can’t even go to the “packs” screen where I “WOULD” purchase things without the game crashing. I have sent in several tickets, and the only responses I have gotten back are “sorry for your experience, we’ll pass your feedback to the dev team”. I know I’m not the only one crashing, a ton of people are complaining about it. I have lost so much time and resources because of the new update, and such a utter lack of caring from the CS team, that I wish I could get a refund for every purchase I have ever made and never play this game again. I wish I could give this 0 stars for how long the crashes have been going on with no information as to when it’s being fixed. It is very different from other games that I have played before. ✓ I loved this game, but...My boyfriend and I used to play this game religiously when it first released. The characters were great, the graphics were great, the story was great. I liked how you could play solo AND pvp, however pvp is only offered between certain times of the day (which is fine, in the US it’s like 8pm, so I’m usually off work by then to play). The leveling is slower as you strengthen your characters, but all games are like that really. Overall, I’d give this game 5 stars for what it is. However, my problem now is that since I fell off of it for a bit and haven’t played in a while, I had to install a big update. Newer games either streamline this with raid or similar automated functions so you don’t use up so much time and attention on repetitive gaming. This game lets you enter battle on autopilot, but you have to let it play out each time. It could be much better if it allowed a multi-battle auto, maybe limited by zone/day. Even a skip-to-results function would be much better than sitting through the same battle multiple times. Just a little bit ago the new SSR and SP event released giving everyone a 2.5 chance on summoning an SSR or an SP Shikigami. Before I had a chance to use any of my amulets and the box where it shows everyone who had summoned an SSR or SP was rapidly (at a crazy speed) lighting up like a Christmas tree. I had over 50 amulets (Blue, Jade, and AR) and yet I had not gotten a single one. This is quite frustrating because I had saved and worked hard for those amulets. Reading the comments others were quite frustrated with this (hadn’t gotten ANY using a lot of amulets) while others had gotten them after 30-40 amulets. The anime is top quality. Even though you see a lot of players building the same teams there is still more opportunity in versatility than other games. You can still use common characters for end game content because they each can serve an important role on your team. Yeah there is still repetitive gameplay, modes that do not offer much different and many people still using the same teams and for that I am tempted to give the game 4 stars instead of 5 but then when I compare it to other games, this game does it better so it is as good as this kind of thing is going to get. And if I do, I only play for a few weeks (at most) before getting bored because the plot isn’t that interesting and/or just the fact that it takes so much effort and time to level up. But I love this game so much and I’ve been playing it for the past 6 months or so without any intention of stopping even though I’ve completed the story chapters. It’s highly addicting and there’s so many things you can do in the game so it doesn’t seem too repetitive. I enjoy how frequent the events are, the beauty of the graphics and the different character skins, Manual mode so I can level up while doing other things that require more attention, the interesting and well-paced plot, the side stories that provide background to different Shikigami, and all the other things you can do like Demon Parade, Duels, etc. I will admit it takes a lot of patience and time to level-up the characters, especially if you don’t want to spend money. There’s also certain things that are difficult to do without buying some material pack; for example, it’s hard to collect SR/SSR shikigami during events unless you buy items to help you. But overall I thoroughly enjoy this game even after 6 months of playing it. (And, are there anymore chapters after Chapter 25: the Maiden of Offerings II?
