✓ I would like to cancelI wanted to try the free trial so I subscribed, then was asked if I wanted to join Pro so downloaded the app and with one click I was signed up and being charged for an app I don’t need. Even though I am being charged (I don’t even know how much or what subscription I have agreed to) the app is not showing in my subscriptions on Apple ID so cannot cancel to stop being charged over £20 a month. Please help me cancel. I think it is ridiculous that people are promoted to download an app without a price or warning that is it’s a free app..Version: 2.1.1
✓ Login HellWhen signing into the app via Amazon, a pop up window opens the Amazon website for login. After successful login, it says it cannot continue because cookies aren’t enabled. No help, no suggestion, just tells me to leave pretty much. I go to “app support” and try and write for help but it requires an IMDb account (not Amazon) so I can’t even sign in there to launch a complaint! What gives!?.Version: 3.0.1

✓ IPad?Still no iPad specific version and no response recently from developer. Generally, imdb pro is just useful enough (if you work in the business) to justify a subscription, but the subscription is too high to justify the lack of different versions. It is hard to understand, given the high subscription price, why there is still no version for iPad. The mobile version also appears to offer limited functionality compared to the webpage. After seeing this comment, The developer informed me “you can download imdbPro on your iPad”. I know that, but it is still designed for iPhone not iPad. Where is the iPad specific version? Opening the iPhone version on an iPad is unsatisfactory and not worth the subscription. I’ve downgraded to 2 stars due to the developer’s unsatisfactory response..Version: 1.7.3

✓ Poor customer serviceAs a former industry professional, I was very excited by the apps’ many features and the wealth of information. Unfortunately The customer service is non-existent. There were inaccuracies in my biography - and there was no clear way to correct them . We spent hours going through the chat areas and apparently this is a big concern for many people . It is shameful that the primary website for film buffs and professionals doesn’t protect the professionals that they celebrate Also, it is impossible to cancel your subscription on the app or online. ✓ “Your Page” and “Casting Notice” tabs needs workThere’s a good number of things this app feels like it should do that it does not. I cannot edit or add any contacts to my profile. I can add images but cannot edit their description after the fact. It says stuff is not IMDb-verified but no indication on how to change that status. I can “turn off” people seeing my bio but I cannot edit my bio. I can not remove projects from my profile. I cannot save search preferences under the casting notice tab. I cannot easily look at who is posting a casting notice to see if it is legit or shady, nor can I report a notice if it does seem illegitimate. It’s nice that I can look at films and people but it’s not very handy for the personal profile editing and casting notices, aspects that would make the app worthwhile to keep on my phone. Because of the lack of personal profile “editability,” using the app is frustrating, putting you in an endless loop of “this SHOULD take me here but it doesn’t, but why would I not be able to do this from the app, it must be somewhere...” I would try to redesign the app to really focus EQUAL parts on the industry info and article side of IMDb AND the personal services that one pays for when they subscribe to IMDb pro. And of course, keeping it very user-friendly..Version: 1.5

✓ Taking moneyEvery subscription year I get charged full price on my credit card as if I’m not a union member and every year I have to cancel what they automatically did WITHOUT reminding me or getting my permission to charge that and then renew with entering the code as we get our union member discount… this year they charged 231 USD and then only gave back 202 USD (and blame the exchange rate for my loss every year) so that missing money is basically stolen and I have to report it. Please give the $231usd back as I did not authorize that. And they also say they won’t back pay me all the years that I’ve been a union member but had the union discount code and proof (as they pull the trick of renewing without warning and hope you don’t notice or remember to cancel membership and start back up with entering the code). Hard when we’ve been on strike for almost a year and being robbed more by our own IMDB which should be supporting and protecting us and our cause and funds as a peaceful community:)!
