Old School RuneScape for Positive User Reviews

AmazingThis game is so smooth and so good to play on the go. One recommendation would be a clock because I always spend so much time and then all of a sudden it’s been an hour. So a clock with real time would be handy to see..Version: 176.9

FlawlessThe effort and consideration that has been put into the design of this app is nothing less than superb. It runs great, you are not restricted as you would expect having played the desktop version previously, and it looks like a brand new mobile game app. My initial thoughts when I heard Jagex were launching OSRS Mobile was that it would be great for skilling, but not for combat or for an extended period of play. I was wrong. I play mainly on my iPad and iPhone now. I love the fact that I can jump between devices depending on the time of the day and what I am doing at the time. I am a father to four young children and originally played this game back in Junior school via miniclip, those were the days. I now do not have the time to sit on a desktop PC in the evenings, but sitting on the sofa with my iPad gives me some release from a high pressure job and gives me my gaming fix. Thank you and keep up the hard work. As for a development suggestion, please can you add some quick chat functionality as socialising in game is somewhat tiresome?.Version: 176.9

Fun But Freezes a lotPlaying mobile whilst my pc is being fixed however it freezes frequently..Version: 177.2.1

Love it 12 out of 10As a veteran from prior to 07, I love it. Most of us vets are the ones that demanded that they brought back game we loved before they tried to turn RuneScape into like world of Warcraft or some other recent mmorpg. Also for those of you that have limited high speed, this game runs smooth on 2g after ya drained all ya 3g,4g, and or lte doing god knows what else. Noticed this while trying a few other games that would run poorly after they drained my data ( ex Diablo immortal release was massive data killer for me haha) I’m an avid gamer. Hope ya don’t mind me mentioning other games, because like others keep saying, this is a childhood favorite an can’t stop from coming back an creating a million different accounts every update to try and find a better, more efficient way to train. As of now, can’t wait for you guys to finish mobile beta cause the mobile chat glitch is still annoying. If anyone still has that issue, either hop worlds or fumble around tabs on both sides until it gives ya options to toggle through chat tabs an it will eventually let ya type after a little frustration an work. Forcing ppl to log after 6 hours is great bot buster but god they keep getting creative with bot scripts. Still see bots but less prominent than what I have seen throughout the years. I’d love to see randoms attack players again. Miss that evil chicken terrorizing skillers and bots XD.Version: 206.1

Great Game in generalI am a OSRS fan and didnt even play when i was younger you dont just need to play in the past to get a good game experience I just hope in the future that we can get some more support for mobile as some of the newer quests are a little laggy on mobile but in general I would rather play this over any other game. But you should add offline mode so you can play offline and on your own without other players. And also being able to play OSRS on a phone or tablet is so good i think it is the best mobile game ever and dont know why a nail salon game is #1 roleplaying over OSRS and genshin impact..Version: 191.2

Warning: Everyone starts from 0!Pretty good for a port and brings back the nostalgia. Hello Lumbridge, my old friend! NOTE: If you’re a returning RSOS player (the time when it wasn’t considered “Old School”) you’ll find your account’s items and stats in RS3. You will start from scratch on tutorial island in RSOS!.Version: 176.9

Along time coming!I’ve been playing RuneScape on and off since 2006. I originally stopped when RS3 came out but heard of Old School making a come back, I’ve played it ever since! OSRS Mobile is something I’ve been waiting for, for a long time and it’s finally here! When I logged on for the first time I was massively impressed with how smooth the game feels and runs, so top marks there. I read up on the data usage and I have to say I’m shocked at how little they’ve claimed it uses! On the website read between 500kb - 2mb an hour. Can’t complain at that either! The only thing negative to say about it is about battery life. This app rinses your battery life! I played it for 10 minutes and it used 12% of my battery, and I have an iPhone 8+. I know iPhones batteries are always a laughing point but that’s insane. But it won’t stop me playing! If you’ve been a long time fan of RuneScape, battery life won’t bother you as the rest is top notch..Version: 176.9

Great game, app can be unstableThough Old School RuneScape is a great game, the app is not entirely stable. I play on a current iPad, and the game crashes at points of high demand - such as when the Grand Exchange (area for buying and selling items) is busy with players on Trade worlds, or when playing pvp and a lot is going on. I have lost too many items/made too much loss to ever risk in game on the app again, which is a shame as the pvp element of RuneScape is very popular and an asset. In short, the app is fine for the less demanding aspects of the game, like grinding skills or similar low demand activities, but I always revert to my laptop when doing anything with risk or a lot happening - where I have no problems whatsoever..Version: 194.1

Ignore the poor reviews1) Ignore all the poor reviews giving to this game. Especially JaredL42 guy. If you’re an old player coming back, don’t expect to have you old account saved. OSRS evolved over the years to what is now known as RuneScape3 (RS3) that’s where your old account is. Due to high demand of bringing back the old school RuneScape. Jaggex had to Re-create separate game (osrs) for the community to try save the player base. People were happy OSRS was back and that’s what they prefer to play while others enjoy playing RS3. So there for you have to start over for OSRS while your old account is still in RS3. Stop complaining and don’t listen to those whining spoil kids. 2) If you’re a veteran or returning player this is an awesome app! Great way to AFK training or even to kill time. There’s definitely things you wouldn’t want to do on mobile like PK’ing or maybe even raising against hard bosses. Just because it’s a little harder on mobile. 3) if you’re a new player this may take time to get use to, I’ll recommend to try the full experience on PC for you to get the full feel of the game then come to mobile. Because I do see mobile more beneficial to veteran players. Don’t get frustrated with the game, it’s an mmorpg there’s so much to do in this game and it takes time to learn. Overall I’m very happy with the work they have done!!.Version: 176.9

Finally!I started playing Runescape way back in 2001 when I was still at university. Over the years I have seen this game go from strength to strength. I only stopped playing about 4/5 years ago when I joined the iPad generation and used a laptop or PC less and less. Then I heard Runescape had joined the mobile device age with the release of Old School.... so I am back! I was a bit disappointed to see I have to start my 17 year old character (who is probably older than most players) from scratch again (although all skills and points are in tact when logging into RS3, but it’s great to relive the fun again. I might even consider membership again. Who knows..Version: 176.9

Macro major ban?New player here I Downloaded yesterday after I saw a new game pop up on the store made my account and starting exploring this strange new world, I read about the benifits of having membership and in app it gave me an option to buy said membership and get a free trial so I accepted and carried on chopping trees, killing monsters, and fishing and cooking food for a few hours before I went to bed. Cut to this morning when trying to play the game I get an error at the login screen “account suspended” and told to check my account status which says “banned macro major” I have no idea what this means so I google it apparently it’s for using cheating programs to automate tasks on the pc version, I don’t even own a pc I didn’t even know what this game was till yesterday not impressed at all, I was enjoying my time with it until this happened... is this common for the developer to do get people to agree to hand over money and punish them forcing them to make a new account to progress and eventually pay them more money yet again? I honestly don’t know what to say as my first ever experience with this developer I’m not happy at all.Version: 176.9

Mean game fully immersive addictive mmorpgBest cross play mmorpg I love slayer wish there was more slayer monsters past 95 to grind for that have a couple nice drops and good consistent loot :)).Version: 193.1

What other mobile games wish they could beImagine a phone game that is actually a full huge game and not a money grab. That’s what we have here.Version: 176.9

Convenient AFOSRS mobile is incredibly easy to get sucked into. What started as a fun game way to get some nostalgia vibes of middle school-aged me on my phone turned into my newest addiction. Playing on mobile is incredibly easy and is a great way to pass time during downtime. If you’ve never played OSRS and can get over the visual aesthetic, it’s a really fun game with endless content that has something for everyone. You could easily get over 100+ hours in before needing/wanting to spend the money on membership (which is absolutely worth it if you plan to stick around). The great part of mobile is if you don’t have large chucks of time like typical MMO-ers have, you can still get a good experience and consistently play when you have a little time here and there. I have turned some potentially awful days at work into something more bearable by having my phone running OSRS and kind of checking in to the AFK type skills you can train without too much effort or attention needed to effectively improve. OSRS has been my lifeline through this last (hopefully) leg of the pandemic. Definitely give it a try if you are on the fence..Version: 194.1

I’ve played this game for 10+ yearsI’ve played this game for 10+ years and it’s the game I remember plus so much more. Honestly the hard working devs and community make this game flourish. I’ve never come back to a game time after time like I have RuneScape. I can’t give a perspective from a new player because everything is so ingrained in me, but my only advice to a new player discovering RuneScape for the first time is this; treat this game like an click and point adventure game. At its core in my opinion this game is best played in a mindset of discovering what this game has to offer. The free version is not doing yourself or the game justice I’m not going to lie. In my experience it’s been really hard to get my friends to play this game because of the lack of tutorial but in my opinion that makes it better, just keep in mind its difficult to solve some puzzles and inventory/gear management but there are tons of resources to help you online if you are really struggling. Honestly none of that matters to enjoy the game at its core, but it’s a good crutch if you are ever stuck! Just have fun with it and don’t take it seriously there’s enough of us veterans doing that already!.Version: 192.1

Best game ever6000 hours in and im not stopping! Best game ever il be here for years and years.Version: 220.1

My favourite game everI have been playing runescape for about 12 years now and it’s honestly my favourite game. When they came out with the app I was so excited and they definitely have not disappointed me. I think runescape osrs will be a game that I come back to for many more years to come.Version: 180.1

BrilliantFirst of all RuneScape….. this has been such a massive game from my childhood. Still to this day, no game is like RuneScape nor gives me the same feeling as playing RuneScape. I recently started playing on mobile after years of uming and aring about it. I can honestly say, for a game of its size, how well and smooth the mobile version feels. I almost feel like I have no need to play it on the pc anymore. The interface is neat and easy to use just like I remember from the browser days. If you can look past the poor graphics then this is a great game to play. It is one of them games you can never quit, you will always find yourself logging back in to play. Get it downloaded, get it played..Version: 205.2

An actual full game, regular updates, no micro transaction garbageGreat game. Great quests and dialogue. Yes, it may consume your life if you let it..Version: 201.1

Been playing since early 2000sI used to play this game as a kid when it first came out. Got as far as to having rune armour. Now as an adult I have attempted the plunge into RuneScape again. Well what can I say, it has changed in many ways but is still the game I remember it being but even more quests to do so 10/10 for that. I did loose my account for a bit due to being hacked and ultimately being banned for major macro whatever that even is. But after speaking to some admins and one months later I managed to get my account back and carried on with the game. All I lost was some holiday capes which I unfortunatly can’t get back but was worth the trade up. I would also like to add I am playing from mobile now instead of pc and have had no issues like some people have mentioned. I am currently at lvl 62 and experienced no bugs. Is this game worth it ? YES. For us old school gamers it’s worth every moment and every penny..Version: 213.2

Understanding Oldschool RunescapeOnce you understand osrs you will have a game that will keep you playing for hours. The first thing you need to know that this game is driven by the community and all updates go thru an in game voting process requiring 70% to actually implement it. I see some reviews here complaining about things that are simple, for example some guy can’t do a maze(lol) it’s a maze man get good. I suggest you read everything because this game will test your reflexes , luck ,skills, endurance and probably the must fun of all is finding unique ways to play the game that nobody has even thought about it yet. There are people trying to get “in game money from noobs” don’t believe anybody in the game never give your personal information. Like I said this game is unlimited and you can play it however you want , it’s an open world. You will never run out things to do. Lastly, there are “things” like quest, bosses, ways of skilling, and pvp that some players can’t do because they don’t have the ability. So it’s time to show you can do everything , prove your worth..Version: 176.9

Text is too smallEvery time I’m talking to an npc it always presses the wrong option. Is there a way to fix this? Can I make the text larger?.Version: 176.9

Needs to stay logged in while in the backgroundI want to chop wood on the bus at the same time as scrolling through other apps. I can manage switching apps once every couple minutes or so, but every 30 seconds is too frequent so i stopped playing. Im not going to stare at my character chop wood. I need to be able to chop wood in the background without it logging out..Version: 210.2

Macro ban/disabled account?!The game itself is fantastic, being able to have an app on my phone which is probably the best on the AppStore right now in my opinion is my favourite game to play since setting up an account. Similar to the recent review, I also only play on mobile since it’s the most convenient for me and my busy lifestyle. After completing tutorial island and getting used to some of the basic playing of the game, I found myself just training the fishing skill. I have been playing quite a bit, probably more than I should be! Been getting so distracted and mostly addicted in all fairness!! 😄 Met some nice people on the game that helped me out and gave me feathers and was pretty chill, until I tried to log in yesterday and my account has been disabled! It turns out after logging into my account on the main page it tells me it’s been disabled for macroing which is a load of rubbish since I play on mobile. You should appreciate the fact that someone is constantly playing and enjoying the game. Not be assuming someone is using some kind of bot or software to be abusing the game! I invested personally a lot of time into this game which I will never get back. Shame on you Jagex! It’s completely put me off. The 5 stars is because the game was genuinely good and a great addition to the AppStore. However, 0 stars should be given for management. Absolutely disgusted..Version: 193.1

OSRS Nostalgic FavoriteOkay, so I thought I’d start from the beginning and it would probably have to be around the year 2003. Since my brother was older he would show me anything that’s new. It was called Runescape. A new mmorpg online in browser game. All you needed was a internet connection. The world was so fresh with new, moderate, and seasoned players offering sales in each bank locations. (Since the general exchange never existed). Players would auction their items at banks. The wilderness was the coolest thing; where you could get skulled! As well as to survival if you needed to take rest and bring out the sleeping bag. -which is what we would consider runescape classic today. This game brings so much nostalgia. It’s unfortunate that RuneScape 3 requires too much for my old computers and can’t handle. I just wish my characters could’ve switched on to both rs3 and osrs when first released. Oh well, I’m just glad RuneScape is finally out on Mobile. I remember the talks of having it on console like Xbox or PlayStation and I even remember the talks where you could play on the go! Look at here! Finally made it! :).Version: 191.2

Screen display zoneHey love the app. Only issue I had was opening the map would often freeze the game but that seems fixed, now I know it’s a mobile app but on my iPad the side screen zone for the icons and stuff doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of my screen anymore and I can find settings to edit the zone in which my icons sit. How can this be resolved? TIA.Version: 177.2

Very satisfiedI use to play this game when it’s was younger on dial up internet back over 10 years ago and I remember just enjoying myself but times weren’t the best and we couldn’t afford internet and they didn’t make it for PlayStation so I could never play. As time went on and touch screen phones came out and started getting to where people were playing actual video games on them me and my brothers were always like I wish they would bring runescape to mobile we’d play all the time, and we’d even try to go to there site and play anyway but it wouldn’t let us. Then one day I get a call from my dad like guess what runescape is on mobile, and I just couldn’t believe it. I downloaded it right away my whole family plays my brothers and my dad. It’s nice to be able to play a game that you use to enjoy so much as a kid as an adult on your phone none the less. I don’t get to “grind” like I would like but for someone works 40 hours a week and has a young family I’m beyond satisfied with being able to pull it out of my pocket and play as much as I’d like whenever I have the time. This game is awesome and will always be one of my favorites!.Version: 180.1

Switching charactersIt’s hard to fault the mobile version of the game, it’s OSRS but on mobile, what more could you ask for?? But, it would be nice to have an easier way to switch between characters rather than having to sign out completely, re-log in, pick how to authenticate, exit the app to find google authenticator, copy the pin, go back to osrs, paste it, select the desired character, and only then be able to log in. Having to repeat this every time you want to switch accounts is a nuisance if you play multiple accounts.Version: 220.1

No xp wasteI can fish while using the restroom.Version: 191.2

Nostalgia and as good as i can rememberThis is a great app, runs almost 100% is the same as when i was a kid, amazing, addictive, my 1 and only issue is it keeps crashing on my iphone 8 plus, and one time i lost everything after it crashed, was not happy, i reported in game and thought id leave this review so things like this wont happen again, other than that 10/10 have recommended old mates play this (which the are now).Version: 176.9

OSRS/RS3Just want to give Jagex a round of applause this team and all the members and mods day n day out! You guys are actually doing whatever it takes to keep us going. I recently joined again and i am trying to get use to old school but I was always a rs3 I’ve been playing on off since 06-07. But I really hope playing this go around I don’t have to start over in the long haul. The amount of time and effort it takes to get to where your saying to yourself wooah! Yea finally we made it with a bunch or some 99s having everything you want (ill mention 99 prayer con and herb) now I’ve had everything you guys had to offer to protect my account(s) and then to wake up 3 times in over 10+ solid years I’ve played to nothing to my name. It’s taken me 8 years now just to give this another chance. Please don’t let us down. Anyways you guys rock this game rocks this open world rocks and if your giving out a month of free membership I’m sure you’ll bring in more users !~!~!~!~.Version: 209.3

Constant freezes and bugs in crowded areasOk so I’ve only played this for about 3 hours so I don’t really know much. For first impressions it’s a well done and fun game. One that I presume is Grindy which I like as well. My only problem I’ve seen is that in crowded areas like the grand exchange, it’s been constant freezing whenever I try to load onto the map and it’s the same when quickly going across menu’s. The music also stutters a lot when the game freezes or lags but I don’t think the developers can do much about it. Just a fix on freezing in crowded areas and the game would be amazing!! Well done developers.Version: 177.3

Incredible!I can hand on heart say I've never bothered to write a review for an app, but for this I just can't help myself. I have been an on-off user of Runescape since 2006 when I was 10 years old. 14 years later I have rediscovered it once again, which is a joy. To then realise that there is a mobile app version of the game is beyond words. It sounds over the top but to think that a game I played 14 years ago is still being supported, improved and innovated to this day is amazing. Jagex do very good work and this app is a perfect example of that: easy controls, extremely similar layout to the desktop version, which is of course what we all want for the nostalgia, the ability to play Runescape in bed, all priceless! Thank you for all that you do Jagex..Version: 189.2

This is what this game needed.I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played on my phone before this came out downloading different things and figuring out how to play online. So glad it’s this easily accessible now. So smooth what a great app. Way to go on the developing! Maybe let us re arrange our tabs so we can put all the music and stuff we don’t use on our non dominate hand to help with game play. Beautiful though. 5 stars easy.Version: 176.9

Its so goodI play it on the train to and from work everyday. iPhone SE is a bit small but still usable..Version: 176.9

5 star but...Jagex have double charged me for 1 month membership. I have only received 1 months not 2.Version: 199.1

SuhExactly like online just mobile.Version: 180.1

Excellent gameHave been playing this game for over 10 years, never would’ve thought to be playing it on my phone. Ant wait for rs3 mobile too!!.Version: 177.3

Experienced mobile playerAfter mobile launch i have played multiple accounts. The main issues i would like to address are the construction skill and mobile pking. All the interfaces for construction are insane on mobile. On computer people usually put something heavy on their spacebar and click 1,2,3 for quick building but mobile is difficult. We need either a build all option or a left click build last option. Pking is doable on mobile and is quite fun with all the wildy content coming out though, i doubt mobile only players like myself will venture into the wilderness because they are 100% guaranteed to die to a pc player. The only way to make mobile pk’ing friendly would to allow the quick special attack button to work against players. Not having hot keys seriously slows down our switch times (prayer and armour switches) and the special attack button would be a nice defence against a pc pker. Rant over, love the game, love the constant updates in content, wish they had a better complaints method but would 100% recommend the game to any and everybody! P.s after reading the other reviews id just like to say i’ve managed to do everything except inferno and my account is 42 defence. Everything is possible on mobile its just a lot harder.Version: 208.2

15 year RuneScape veteran I love this app!I have been playing RuneScape on and off since 2005 and the older I get the less free time I have to play. Enter RuneScape mobile. This app is perfect for grinding skills throughout the day a few minutes or even hours at a time leaving my limited PC time for more complex activities like bossing. The game loads very quickly, runs well and is surprisingly easy to use given how much contrent is squeezed onto a small phone screen. If you have not played RuneScape before, I highly recommend it if for no other reason than it is NOT A FREEMIUM game. The game can be played totally free though it’s much more enjoyable if you purchase membership. If you do become a member ($10/month) then there are no further expenses. One of the great features of this game is they do not try to nickel and dime players with micro transactions and there is no way to get ahead by outspending other players. My recommendation would be to try it as a free player, if you like it at all, buy one month of membership and judge the game based on the value of membership. There is enough content to keep you busy for thousands of hours if you so desire..Version: 190.1

Ohhh runescapeWell this is pretty incredible, I started playing runescape when I was almost 9 years old. It gave me something to do at the boys and girls club while my parents worked. I played until I was about 14 non stop, and then it started to get loads of weird updates. I think a lot of stuff was cool, but it became to much to handle when I wouldn't play for a few months and I would come back to sooooo much wired stuff. I give this app 5 stars because for what jagex offers with runescape you could literally play this game for years for free, or like 7$ a month to be a member or something. I was a member most of my runescape life. I really wish that jagex could have somehow transferred my 14 year old character over to the old school runescape and just deleted all of the updated gear on that account, of course there should be a voucher stating that :WARNING if you accept to this you will loose all gear associated with runsescape after a certain date. And I would have been fine with that. I really miss good old fashioned runescape with my friends just grinding away XP to lvl up. I guess I will be waiting for RS3 :(. There's really no point for me to restart a character I put long long nights into for years..Version: 176.9

By far the best mobile RPG game on the marketWhat can really be said, it’s the best game on the market. From skipping school as a teenager to sneak to the library to play Runescape, to always having a good conversation with friends, and always having something to grind out in game. This game is the best. I’ve always skipped playing other mmorpgs because i like RS that much. I didn’t wanna get hooked on another game. Never regretted that decision. For a Pc game ported to mobile it runs smooth, has great graphics, and literally when your bored you can grind anywhere your at on your skills etc. The community is great as well, you can always find someone to talk with and even make some online friends to play with and talk to each time your on. I have no complaints at all. RS will always be on my phone even if I would take breaks for a month or two like I have before, I’ll always be back to play again. This is an addiction that you’ll want to have. Haha, to new players, don’t give up easily. Learning the game takes time but it’s simple to understand after a little time playing. Keep at it, you won’t regret it. Hope everyone is having a great day, and happy scaping..Version: 184.1

Worth the waitOnce this was going to be released in winter 2017, which became a very large meme for a year and a bit. Despite this everyone knew in their hearts it would be worth waiting for. We weren’t wrong either. I’m glad they took the time to fixe the bugs and improve the UI before releasing it too. Well worth $11.Version: 186.1

ChurNot even gonna lie smooth asf on the phone and a lot more simple to use then I thought it was gonna be . Props to u jagex.Version: 176.9

BobbaBeen playing this game since the beginning and mobile is a very fresh take on a nostalgic classic.Version: 177.3

Just pure joy!So I’ve been playing RuneScape since I was just a little kid (12 or 13 years old back when RuneScape 2 was just released) and I took a break when the updates happened that took away free trade and the wilderness. But I started back up when osrs was released. I’m now 28 years old and I play every single moment I get the chance and it’s all thanks to this mobile app that I can even do that. I don’t have time at home to play on the computer because I am raising my daughter ( just a newborn baby). The mobile app is the best thing to me. Now I have an account that I have had for about 4 years now and have 97 ranged and 92 magic and am getting into the pking scene for the first time In my life. ( a life long dream of mine was to learn to pk, but I was never able to make it happen) I have more fun playing RuneScape now than I have ever had before. I had no idea that was even possible given how much fun I used to have as a kid. Thank you Jagex, thank you so much. You guys make my life so much better. I am now almost 3 years sober and osrs is a big part of what helps me keep my mind away from my demons. Along with a healthy lifestyle and the support of my friends and family. So you guys have helped me more than you know. And I think that this whole RuneScape experience is something I will never forget. Here’s to the future of RuneScape!.Version: 189.2

Amazing!Title says it all, the team at Jagex have out done themselves, as expected. Glad they took a little longer to get it right..Version: 176.9

A game like no other on mobileThe only game on the app store that doesn’t shove ads down your throat, has devs that actually care about the player base more than money, and is original in every way, not just a reskin of some trash tower defence or candy crush rip off. The only downside if I could even think of one is that this is a game made for pc and some content would be near impossible to do on mobile. With that aside, I think the osrs team has done an amazing job with making as much content as possible available for mobile players 👍.Version: 216.4

Great start! For their official launch, it's been amazing! Aside from the once-a-day crash, I've had nothing but fun with this game so far! Honestly, for their first launch, it's been near perfect! I can see that there will be far more improvements in UI for ease of play, but so far, it deserves no less than 5 stars in my book! Jagex, well done! Keep it up!.Version: 176.9

AVOID!!So I downloaded this game because it was a childhood game where I’d play with all my friends and over a years worth of playing getting my stats up putting in time for quests, I played many hours on phone And phone only, to then trying to log in to carry on with my agility skill ( which I couldn’t because I was banned). For macroing, so I searched what it actually meant and it was botting which is physically impossible to do on phone from what I know of and this has happened to thousand of players to.... so don’t waste your time on wasting your many hours of hard work guys:).Version: 184.1

A classic ported to iOSOld School RuneScape (OSRS) is a reboot of the original Runescape MMO as it was in 2007. Rereleased in 2013, the game has seen a number of new content and changes including new quests, new bosses, new method to level up your character’s skills, and new activities and minigames. If you’re a returning old RS2 veteran like me or someone who never experienced this lesser known MMO classic, OSRS on iOS is a treat to play with its simple but in-depth gameplay and great design. There are a few limitations that come with the port (as the game was made for 2007 PC) but the developers have utilised the touch-only gameplay in a way that doesn’t impair one’s ability to play. Anything that can be done with a mouse on PC can be easily done with the touchscreen on your phone. The game’s community is a thriving one that actively works alongside the developers to shape the game. Those content changes? Most of them were vote on by us and some were even suggested or made by us. Overall, OSRS is a blast from the past that is now accessible to many and playable in the palm of your hand (a dream for me as a kid). If you want a nice way to pass the time or lose yourself in a fantasy world, OSRS is the game for you..Version: 176.9

Excellent, With a few issues. This a fantastic fully featured version of RuneScape on mobile. It’s still amazing to me that I can be lying in bed or on the train and be playing an mmo on my iPad or iPhone. This would 5 stars and may in the future but there are however a few issues that can hopefully be fixed. I have had numerous freezes forcing me to shutdown the app, Mostly in high populated areas and occasionally when opening the full screen map. The music can also stutter frequently. Fortunately logging back into the game is very quick. But at the moment I wouldn’t rely on the mobile app for anything important in game, As crashes can happen at the worst times..Version: 176.9

Love this so much !Have played this game since 2006. To see it so well optimised for mobile now is amazing. This takes mobile gaming to a complete new level with a proper MMORPG that has a thriving player base, economy and community! If you are new and enjoy this game on mobile, I’d highly recommend logging in from a computer to tackle more challenging content such as boss fights and PvP!.Version: 176.9

RuneScape please readHi RuneScape, I have played RS since I was 12 years old. I am 25 years old now and i have not found a better game than RuneScape it’s strategic and fun and rewarding. I ask if you could please bring the beta version soon to iPhone I’ve been waiting for so long for some news about it. It would seriously make my whole year if you brought it out thank you appreciate your time :).Version: 193.1

BrilliantJust like the title says this is brilliant. Not only is it the full game and it plays and runs very well on my iPhone 8 it is just such a joy to come back to the game that as a teenager I spent so many hours in I can’t even count. I was worried this game would eventually die out, it makes sense because much of its original player base has matured and now have jobs and many more responsibilities in life than they did previously so if was natural to see the player base decline, with the launch of mobile I was laughing to see so many old and new players back and finding myself right down back nostalgia lanes. That being said now that this game is on mobile I am super happy to know I will be able to play this whenever I want and literally wherever I want, I probably wouldn’t recommend however doing anything much more than light grinding on your phone or tablet as the control scheme is good but slower on a touch screen for obvious reasons so I don’t see myself PKing anytime soon in my phone but I do see myself grinding away at other skills to my hearts content. All in all well done Jagex you found another way to innovate on your game and you did it properly this app is great given it isn’t a botched version of the game at all. Well done 5/5.Version: 177.1

Amazing gameI have loved this games since 2005 and when I heard that it was coming to mobile I downloaded it immediately, the port to mobile devices is clean and simplistic and overall a great addition to an already world class game, the only issue I have is that on my iPad Pro 2020 the game will freeze and not unlock atall until I reopen the app at which point I am usually dead, I am at a point of mid to end game content on a mobile only account and I am avoid all high level content through fear of the app freezing and me dying. Please fix this.Version: 192.1

AmazingI played this games years ago. I stopped when it changed, I didn’t like the changes like most people.. But this version of it was great and it was the love of my childhood. this game was 10/10 I don’t even mind starting from scratch on a mobile it feels kind of fresh and turning it into a mobile game is the perfect fit, I would of preferred if everyone started from fresh and it wasn’t cross platform though, but that’s the only thing I can pick out.. being an adult now compared to before it’s so easy to pick up and close the app when it’s needed and I can grind out more chopping down trees when I have spare minutes! I LOVED this game and with it being on mobile I fell right back in love with it. With it being on here I hope many others have the same experience with it that I did and I’m sure they will..Version: 176.9

Experienced player -I’ve been playing runescape for a long time, and as a kid I always dreamed of playing runescape while sitting in the car on the way to school or running errands, mobile was and is everything I could’ve dreamed of. Being able to woodcut while I’m waiting in line at the grocery store.. doing a seaweed run before a dr’s appointment, the convenience is too good.. the overall performance of the game runs smoothly, it honestly runs better than the official client on my pc sometimes! Lol. Only problems I’ve ever ran into is if you try to do content that has a lot of people participating in it, it can crash, like wintertodt.. other than that, I like the simple overlays, the ease of use, the one click log in, & I love that it doesn’t have a lot of pressure on micro transactions. I don’t really do any “risky” content on mobile, I’d say it’s more for “low effort” content like motherload mine or afking redwoods. But that’s not to say you cannot boss on mobile because it’s definitely doable, especially if you are on an iPad using an Apple pen. get this app, you won’t be disappointed.. every “afk” activity feels like 0 time lol.Version: 195.1

AmazingThe devs really outdid themselves here. This was easily enough to bring me over from rs3 with multiple 99s. I thought starting from scratch would have been awful but I've been having a blast lounging around on my phone..Version: 176.9

LagBit laggy and keeps disconnecting me on my phone. It’s not my internet cause that works fine. The game also runs fine on my PC. Other than the lag and whatnot it’s great to have it on Mobile!!!.Version: 178.2

Best mobile game everI have played Runescape on and off since I was a teenager(28 now). I always loved the game, but couldn’t play as much as I wanted since I have had kids now. I loved when they brought out osrs because that was the game I fell in love with. I play when I can and work on grinding here and there, but this coming out on mobile is the best thing that could have happened for me now as an adult. It is the full game just as it is on PC and it’s the same character I have on PC. I can log in on either device. The mobile game controls really well. I wasn’t sure about the camera controls at first, but you can adjust the look speed and slowing it down made things feel better for me. I like that they have the screen control options on the left side allowing you to one-tap or always right click as it is on PC or tap to drop. This makes it to where I am pretty comfortable doing almost anything in the game from my phone. I don’t think I would do PKing on mobile, but I was never much of a PKer anyway. I have done quests, trained Melee, magic, done farm and birdhouse runs and had no trouble with any of it. Being able to play this game from my phone anytime I want is amazing. It’s even better on my iPad. The 1 star reviews I have seen are nonsense. People who don’t understand the game and get mad way too easy. From someone who has played osrs for years and understands the game this is really great on mobile..Version: 176.9

OsrsThis has to be the sickest mmorpg on mobile! Also wish that i was permamuted on my account.Version: 178.3

Jagex Launcher - MobileI have been playing since 2006 and have experienced all eras of runescape besides classic, and I love all iterations and hope to enjoy RuneScape with many others for many years to come. With the new update to the Jagex Launcher, I honestly think you’s would top it all off with a cherry on top by having a similar thing to mobile in one app. Imagine a Jagex Launcher app on mobile with RuneLite/HDOS capabilities; one can dream! With how far mobile gaming has come, I and I think many others, could see something happening in the foreseeable future in regards to being able to use HDOS at least as a toggleable option within it, even? RS3 implemented in the same Launcher so not needing the both apps separate - ezpz. Cheers for your time and listening! 😎.Version: 216.4

Hello!Hi, developers! This is my first time playing this game and I am amazed! It's a great game and a great way to relive the past whenever you wanted to! But, like every other game there are some flaws. The membership. Sorry but, games with a premium subscription act like a quick cash grab and it just ruins the gameplay. What makes it worse is that the people with the subscription just laugh at the players who don't. I understand if the membership be taken down, people would just have wasted their money. I mean, refunds are a thing I guess? But still, the game gets ruined if my gameplay is limited. One more thing: Please make a joystick as an option for moving as if you tap, you go in a direction you don't want to go. So, it makes the game a bit annoying to play..Version: 189.1

Love it! Although fine tuning would be nice.I used to play this game over ten years ago as a young teen and when I found that it was on mobile I was so excited to be able to log in and start over, I’m amazed how well they’ve managed to blend the app into being just like the game I remember, BUT I do feel like it could use some tweaking to make it just the same as playing on the computer so that us purely mobile users aren’t missing out on the full experience. Maybe an additional app could be made to enhance the OSRS app? Like improved maps, drop counters, something like runelite for computer but for mobile..Version: 180.1

Flawless portI am an old time veteran of this game, I played back during the times of autorune. If you don’t know what autorune is you are missing a big part of the history of this game. I feel I am certified to give a review on the port of this game, other reviews already review the game itself - and this is the 2007 version, not classic or rs3. I think classic is the best version but the community thinks this is the best version so it’s the best choice to port to mobile. The port is flawless. You tap to move and hold down on objects to pull up the right click menu. You text to chat and everything is there. My OSRS account was ready to go. This game feel really good on the phone almost perfect because the combat is static at times which gives you time to move the camera, use prayers/pots/etc., and make decisions. Training is great and the tap to click is perfect. The community is huge which is amazing to see - so many players it’s really like the old days. People are actually killing cows and goblins in lumby and scams and bots are in full forces it’s complete legit. I am pretty happy about this port and the choice to make it free. Good job Jagex!.Version: 177.1

Great game, one MAJOR issueLet me clarified first that I enjoy this game to the fullest: the quest lines, the members experience, and the little small details make this game great. However, there is a major issue on my latest iPad Pro where it frequently crashes in a place or area that contains a lot of things running in the background. For example, I cannot go to the GE or the wilderness servers because I end up crashing the moment I get there. The worst part about this issue, I died doing Monkey Madness I and so I came back to the GE and I ended up crashing and it switched servers on me. I had around 250K GP loot on me, and all of it was gone because I didn’t know what server I died in. Please fix this major issue, it might be a major problem for me in the future if I want to go pvp in very populated areas. This is not a lag problem as my IPad Pro runs smoothly on max FPS. This doesn’t happen on my old ipad so I don’t know why it would on my newer and faster one. Please also add what server you were last in for mobile just in case people died and crash and it switched servers on them on mobile..Version: 189.2

The perfect mobile game.First and foremost: no microtransactions! This is a proper red herring in modern times, to say the least. It allows players to truly enjoy the game as... well, a game. Moreover, OSRS mobile is everything I could have hoped from a mobile RPG. You have to build and develop your character through acquisition of skills and truly have to interact with the community to get the most out of your experience (and character). The presence of a community is one of the most refreshing parts of OSRS in comparison to other MMOs — that and a true feeling of difficulty and accomplishment when you finish your goals. That, in my opinion, is what makes OSRS a truly remarkable game. You set your own goals — yes, this is technically true of all games, but the manner in which it is presented in OSRS makes you, the player, feel as if you are the one in control instead of the game. On top of this, the care with which the game world has been crafted and the joy of completing the numerous quests (which are not all your standard fetch/kill quests) makes OSRS truly a joy to play. Especially since they have managed to keep the game true to its spirit — at least for as much as I can remember from over a decade ago!.Version: 176.9

The Nostalgia!I was looking forward to this since it was announced. It is wonderful to be able to play RS the way I remember. Have been playing almost non stop in my spare time since it came out! The only fault I can give it at the moment is that every now and then it freezes and I have to close and open the app again. But that only happens once or twice an hour and takes maybe 20 seconds to reopen. Other than that definitely worth it! Already bought a 3 month membership!.Version: 176.9

The only game that actually did what matters and did it right. This is the most honest attempt of company to do what the community wants. This is the runescape I played as a child with extra content. This app is exactly the same as playing on the computer my same account works on both the app and the computer and you can also play with everyone from both platforms. They offer polls for the community to vote how we want the game. Yeah rarely there are some troubles with accounts being banned for botting but it’s because the developers are truly trying to make the game better for everyone. I also had some troubles and thought I was going to lose my account because I switched phones and emails and such but I reached out to more on twitter and on their website recovery forum and easily got my account back. With the way some people talk about not being able to get their accounts back I was surprised how easy it actually was. On top of all that I love runescape the actual game is pretty awesome in comparison to a lot of new shiny garbage games for how old it is..Version: 186.1

Fantastic interface! When I heard a mobile game was being made I was like “How!!?” I couldn’t imagine how they would manage to get all the computer interface stuff into a mobile system and not have it be excruciatingly fiddley. But lo and behold, they managed it! And they’ve totally nailed it. Worth the wait indeed. Thanks guys :).Version: 176.9

Amazing development team and gameFirst thing I would like to say is NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS that plague Moblie games these days. The development team behind old school RuneScape is one of the reason why I still play this game year after year. Key reason is they listen to the players and take the players ideas and input into consideration. Check their OSRS weekly dev and Q&A over at Twitch as a prime example. Seriously if your interested in a game full of Quests, Skilling, PvM and PvP that has years of content then give this game a try..Version: 176.9

BeautifulIt is about freaking time! I’m no longer are subscribing member to the game. I also don’t play as much as I did. But now that mobile RuneScape is out I’m considering returning. The day of release I woke up and immediately opened the app. I did a bit of pking & I am very impressed. Awesome work..Version: 176.9

A mobile game like no otherInstant gratification has become more and more an essential tool that mobile game developers use to keep the attention of their players. Bright colours, explosions, flashing lights and especially micro-transactions are all a means to an end: glue your eyeballs to the screen. Old School Runescape mobile is a refreshingly unique sight on the mobile platform. It doesn’t have any of the those fish-hooks to keep your attention. Not one. Instead, it keeps your attention through actual interesting gameplay and story-telling. Shocking, I know. What’s a mobile game without a bit of MTX to let you buy your way to the top? It’s unheard of in the current market. Until now. Just because OSRS mobile doesn’t feature a wonderful spray of sparkles whenever you tap your finger, doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful in it’s own right. Once you spend a solid week acquiring your first full set of Rune armour, it will be the prettiest 20 polygon model you’ve ever seen. If you step into this fantasy world then you’ll find yourself getting much more satisfaction once you achieve your goals than in any other mobile game. There are so many places to explore, adventures to be had and scary dragons to slay..Version: 176.9

For a desktop games on mobile... it’s pretty goodFor a game that was programmed for playing on desktop/laptop computer the functionality that this app has is pretty impressive The controls take a little time to get used to but generally everything is setup for the best user interaction (ex: walking, banking, combat, inventory interactions like fletching & crafting) and there are many customizable options for these controls buried in the settings menu Playing on smaller screens can sometime prove difficult because you end up miss clicking things due to icons having to be smaller Runs fairly well on most devices Personally tested on: iPhone 5,6,8 iPad 2 mini LG V20 Samsung A8 pro Samsung A5 Samsung galaxy s5 Older device/OS’s have more lag and aren’t as quick to load menus in game The game drains battery fairly quickly with default settings on most devices goto in game settings menu and reduce brightness, FPS (frames per second) as well as any settings on your device that could reduce battery life. With optimum settings battery drain is minimal I was very surprised at how little data this app consumes this was a huge concern when I first downloaded but I was happily surprised to find that it doesn’t use very much at all that I can play on the go without much concern for going over my data limit As for the actual game with it being such a large multi-platform online rpg there is such a variety of experiences for players to have it is very hard to review/summarize but overall this game is a medieval based role playing game, it is an open world with no main storyline or progression it is solely player choice witch makes the start of the game slow and difficult for the inexperienced but dose have a lot of fast paced content once that content has been found/unlocked Personally I love the game so much so I’ve played it since it one of its first versions back in 2002 there’s so much to do that I have yet to do everything there is on a single account and to me that’s the draw of this game having so much choice in things to do that really if I wanted to I could continue to play this game forever WORD OF WARNING: this is an online game meaning other players you meet are actually other people (obvious I know) so you may encounter some rude mean sneaky people while you play they may swear, try and scam items from you (#1 rule: if it’s too good to be true it probably is double check all trades) or just generally be mean/rude to you and unfortunately there’s not much the developers can do to prevent these people from entering the game but if you encounter someone like this there’s an in game reporting feature that will allow the developers to get a physical report of your interaction with the offending player and they will be able to ban them Overall the app has impressed me with its abilities to run the game it has its flaws but honestly with it being a desktop game first the fact that it runs as good as it dose is impressive.Version: 177.3

Okay app. Functions well. Love mobile functions.App is okay. Functions well. Love mobile function. Very used to RuneLite, but for a mobile version, the RS Mobile App is also very good. If it could be more like runelite, I would only be happier..Version: 220.1

How times change...Coming from playing in 06 on a big computer to now, with runescape in my pocket and it runs so well! I’m managing all god wars bosses on an iron, not getting any drops I need but I’m still killing them ha! All I would recommend as a change to the app is the ability to have both side bars open at once, the inability to do so effects you’re bossing capabilities and it’s a little frustrating at times, having both your inventory and prayers open at the same time would be very useful Thankyou for the game since 06 and thankyou for the app, keep up the good work and please give me, 13th 0ld Man, a zammy hasta and armadyl cbow drop soon, for the love of guthix it’s starting to hurt my metaphorical soul haha :).Version: 187.1

Awesome but...I’ve been waiting years to play rs and it’s been wicked playing on my phone can’t wait until rs3 is on mobile (hopefully I can use my mobile osrs account on it when it’s out to) especially when I can do summoning again. I only have one issue atm is that I’m only able to play for 1hour at a time before the app crashes and I have to reopen it again to play it does it on all 3 of my phones could you please look into it thanks.Version: 177.2.1

Haven’t played in 13 years and I’m hooked again :pReally great job bringing this gem of a game from my childhood to iOS! Just as good as I remember it, if not better c: One thing that I think could be improved though, is the run toggle. Since you just ctrl-click to run on the browser client, you don’t have to worry about toggling running off to allow your stamina to recharge. But on the mobile client, you have to turn off running each time you’re done with it. If you could double tap to run or have it toggle off if you stand still for 30 seconds - 1 minute, that would completely solve this. But I think it would be best to add a setting to toggle the “running timeout” off when needed. I have had a few occasional crashes/freezes, upon which I have to manually close and restart the game. Though the start up time is thankfully very quick. Definitely worth the wait though 😊 9/10 ⭐️.Version: 176.9

Camera zoomChat box too small, can’t zoom. Can’t read the words... going blind uggghhh.....Version: 178.3

AmazingThe interface panels and their buttons could be a little bigger, other than that the game is amazing ❤️.Version: 176.9

Unable to connect to serverLoved the game since way back, just wondering when the issues with the mobile version will be fixed, been unable to log in for a few days now.Version: 186.1

Blown away and satisfiedFinally a really fun, populated pocket cross-play MMO. downloaded this first on mobile and had tons of fun, I actually hopped on the computer and bought the membership ... I was blown away by how much there was. now i’m addicted and made cool and really chill friends since i’ve played. The graphics are cool retro-modern looking, like it’s n64 but if you touched it up with detail. The game is very simple to play, you press were you go and you’re not bombarded with instructions, for example; you just press goblin, you attack, you have net and you press water, you fish, you have axe and press tree, you cut wood. I was also surprised the amount of skills you can do in this game, there is a skill for thieving I really like, you can pickpocket any npc in the game for money. I will say the only problem I have with this game is the economy, i did not expect to come trying to figure out how to make money to trade with other players to buy yourself better items or equipment for leveling up faster, you have to exert yourself a dedicated skill to make money, and you have to do it on your own or be really lucky to have found either a good monster drop or treasure chests..Version: 194.1

Incredible game, but all is slightly buggyPlayed for years throughout my childhood and decided to play again recently as it’s now mobile, it works amazingly cannot fault gameplay at all it really is something special, to be able to play a game that gives you so much nostalgia wherever you want is so nice. But often it seems recently that the app won’t even get to the login screen just giving you a black screen and not being able to click off it into another app or even turn your device off until it fixes itself. This happens both on my iPhone and my iPad rendering them both useless for a good 10-20 minutes! Please fix this as it’s such an amazing game but I also would like to use my devices haha. Pains me to give this 4 stars as it is so incredible so please fix.Version: 185.1

Childhood nostalgiaWay more convenient to play especially when you have small patch of down time at work or home.Version: 203.1

Almost perfectGreat game on mobile, I did however wish that the chat box did not cause SO MANY problems. If i have it open the game runs noticeably slower and every action takes longer to make, also the chatbox glitches sometimes and it overlayers with the “enter amount” or “search item” box from the GE. It’s actually quite annoying, and at other times I simply can’t close it at all due to it bugging out and going a full solid colour. So yeah 4/5, good game, this is however a mild inconvenience. Iphone 12 mini btw..Version: 206.3

Jagex’s greatest achievement of recent times.Been playing this game on and off for many years. When they first released this app it was pretty decent, it’s main flaws were performance and crashes, that was on my old iPhone X. Have been playing recent times on my iPhone 11 and the app has only seemed to have improved. I haven’t experienced any crashes of recent memory, the game performs exceedingly well even in demanding circumstance such as in a highly populated area and it just makes playing this game so much more practical. The best thing about this app is the ability to still do other things and not be crammed inside on your computer wasting the day. You can afk woodcutting or fishing whilst still doing other things. Overall, innovative idea, excellent performance, makes the game appeal to wider range of peoples, bravo. :).Version: 195.1

Great nostalgia hitPlayed rs3 and never thought I would go back to osrs as I had to re-level. Thanks to mobile I’ve been playing osrs heaps and the whole re-leveling isn’t as bad as I thought. You are far more efficient and the early levels are gained very quickly! Tip - reduce the fps in settings to low and it significantly prolongs your battery charge. Maybe the developers can cover this tip, as the difference in battery usage is night and day..Version: 176.9

Old school RuneScape AppAmazing to have my favourite childhood game in the palm of my hands, it is the only reason I even decided to come back after 8-10 years. Runs smooth and has all the needed features to play the game well, latest update to the app is amazing, we now have timers on teleports/pots and can do many other things similar to using Runelite on pc..Version: 206.3

PerfectEasily the best game i’ve ever played. i normally download games for a couple of days and then delete them out of boredom, but i’ve been playing osrs for months now and can confidently say that i’ll never get bored, there’s so much to do with so much freedom to do it however you want that i just can’t seem to put my phone down!! The community is amazing and 9/10 times will help you out if you’re stuck by giving you advice or offering an item if you need it. Don’t hesitate to try this game! Absolutely amazing job making this game, you can tell the developers put a lot of time, effort, energy and PASSION into making this and it’s 100% paid off. Thank you for the hours upon hours of fun :).Version: 181.2

Good overallIt really is a great version of the game but I’m finding that the game is freezing more and more often. Not my phone I have an iPhone Xs. Well maybe it is but I doubt it. Also a feature that I’d love added is speech to text in the chat bar. It just takes way too long to type something mid game and I imagine the pc players get pretty annoyed waiting..Version: 177.1

Runs greatI only wish I could rearrange the screen. I find myself opening my keyboard at the most inconvenient times when the chat is open, and missing things when it’s closed. Sometimes I wish the map was a little closer, for moving my character, other times I wish it was slightly more zoomed out for navigation..Version: 176.9

Best MMO EverSo you start out on this land mass surrounded by water (I think it’s called an island?), but anyway, they teach you how to play and you can get some levels there. But don’t be dumb like me, your skills max at 3 here! Spent 14 hours fishing shrimps for no reason. Any way, after you finish the tutorial you go to this sicknasty castle in a swamp! Monty Python would be proud. You also get some gear! So I killed a man. And a rat. And a goblin. And a cow. And a LOT of chickens. Now I was stronger. I went north until I found some wizard dudes. Man they were evil! I had to run away. Barely escaped, but on the bright side, I found a huge city! But, just like New York, people are only there to scam you. Some dude said he was doubling money, so I gave him all my stuff. He didn’t give it back, and I’m like “lol I’m dumb” but some nice dude gave me some steel armor and a sword! Told me I could make money killing stuff, so I started killing guards - because let’s be real, they probably were gonna attack me anyway for killing that man earlier. And so I kill one and it drops a treasure map! And I was so confused! And now I’m googling to see what to do! 10/10 would play again!.Version: 177.2.1

Up Dhat IronOne of the best games I’ve ever played! I remember being a kid going to the boys & girls club & me and my buddy discovered runescape and would always create twin pking accounts. It went from being twin mages to becoming twin rangers & then full blown hybrid twins. F2P pking was all we were really into back then. Then he quit for a while and I started exploring more content of the game and found that there’s so much to experience and fell in love with it since! Here I am now(28) & still love playing. I have made a Ironman account just to enjoy content even more and only use the fruit of the land and no help from players or the grand exchange! I gotta say I love it and mobile only made it that much better! Thanks to all the Jagex staff for making my favorite childhood game still favorable 15+ years later! I remember when the party hat/Christmas crackers were dropped on RS classic and the economy was ruined and thus OSRS/Runescape07 was born! I gotta say I’m very grateful for that Christmas drop now! I wish I could give this game a 10 out of 5 stars but 5 will have to do! Thanks again Jagex and keep up the good work with new content and still keeping a feel for the “old school” part of it!.Version: 192.1

Happy as heckI’ve lived this games since I was a teenager and couldn’t play much once I got a job and just couldn’t be around a computer to play as much anymore and have a family now . Now I can okay on my phone, anytime I want and I play on my breaks at lunch. The only thing I hate is that it makes you start over all again even with your same account. It jumped my old leveled up account to rs3 and makes you use the same name but a new player account on old school and start over , but whatever . The game is very smooth and actually faster and better than my computer , just had to get used to where the buttons were again and touching on a smaller scale but also I use my iPad to play on a bigger screen when I can to make it easier. I love going back to what I used to play years ago, and don’t much like what they’ve done with rs3 and jumping my old account to that to where I have to start over again this my 4 stars , but this is what jagex should have done years ago and people have told them that . Sad it’s taken this long and after many players left and stopped playing over it but they needed this..Version: 177.1

Ahh the nostalgiaWhat a time to be alive, Old school Runescape right in your pocket - This game has been beautifully optimised for mobile devices and runs amazingly, Leaving you to do everything you could imagine with no difficulty what so ever, So amazing that this has been rereleased and great to see how large the player base has grown once again..Version: 176.9

Awesome work, played back in 2005, really happy that we can play it again via mobileHappy.Version: 176.9

Great for AFK skillingThe OSRS team did so well at seamlessly integrating mobile into the existing game cant wait to see new players from app store join our amazing game 👍🏻.Version: 176.9

A large amount of the bad reviews are uninformedAfter looking through about a hundred of the 1 star reviews i saw that a very large percentage of them were people upset about the progress of their characters they made a decade ago not transferring over. What they don’t understand is that jagex re-released oldschool runescape in 2013 and everybody needed to start from the beginning if they wanted to play. Their old accounts are still available to them on the “main” game. This is the oldschool version and the reason they are upset does not at all reflect the quality of this app. Oldschool runescape is a fantastic game which has been massively growing since its birth in 2013. Against all odds the outdated graphics and grindy gameplay has thrived in this generation of video games which are typically the opposite. If you’re looking for a mobile game with flashy graphics and an instant gratification gameplay loop giving you rewards every 15 seconds to keep you interested and offering you the ability to skip the gameplay for small amounts of real life money, then this isn’t the game for you. It is old runescape (the pinnacle of last generation MMOs) in all of its glory. Oldschool runescape has the best gaming community out there and is run by an extremely dedicated developer team who update the game almost 100% based on player feedback. Anybody who hasn’t given it a try is very much missing out..Version: 176.9

OSRS is great but....This game is great there so much to do and well it’s amazing for an MMORPG especially how they manage to fit it on mobile but sadly enough I get bored rather quickly I do come back constantly here and there but I’m like “ okay I’m going to do this quest” or “I wanna get a certain skill level” and I begin to do it to get bored really really quickly and end up quitting the game other then that it’s perfect and I love how if your dedicated enough you don’t even need to pay for membership all you have to do is do some F2P money making methods to get your self a bond in the GE and then do member money making methods to earn so much more gold.Version: 187.1

Great game, great app.Love the app because it means I can still train all my skills on the go, never had any issues with it. Highly responsive and lag free. No xp waste for me!.Version: 205.2

Glad to be back & message to new playersHaven’t been able to play as much since I go to uni. Ever since the mobile release I’ve gotten back on my Ironman for some time and have even seen old time friends get back on since the release of mobile. Thank you for the app and I’m glad it’s bringing the community new players and old players alike. P.S. the new players really need to start critically thinking and using the runescape wikia instead of having to bug the mods 24/7 crying about account bans, can’t retain my Runescape 3 character gear and stats, and just overall lack of common sense issues. It’s ridiculous the amount of people that think the game is horrible I get that it isn’t for everyone but seriously? You know you can change character looks? Look up guides (you have the internet)? Or just ask someone for help....Jesus man. Great app overall if you’re looking to have something to do. Can be a battery drain on older phone models and cross continental servers will lag a bit if you’re out of that country. Also do not listen to anyone posting about dark wizards on the OSRS Wikia page...it’s usually BS that tries to get clueless and new people killed.Version: 176.9

Osrs mobile reviewThank you so much Jagex it makes my time go by so much smoother in the day while I’m on standby i can still work on upgrading my account thank you so much for the excellent work..Version: 220.1

Cobra Kai of online gamesI loved this game when I last played it at least 15 years ago.. I came back and I’m amazed how much it’s progressed in a clever way, it’s so much fun- with the same hilarious humour. the one thing that struck me when I first came back though was the lack of online players in the non pvp worlds when I started playing... I initially thought I was the only real player playing.. and for a first time player that might be offputting. I notice in the pvp worlds people hang about lumbridge AND the grand exchange, for scraps.. I love the psychology goin on lol. Truly a brilliant game, better than any other I’ve played..Version: 206.1

Great to see this game come back to lifeI played this game 4 years ago. And while I didn’t hate the changes in the new RS game I hated seeing the playerbase slowly die out as well as how easy it was to get lost in all of the undercooked developments. Bringing old RS allows us to return to the roots of the game. That being said, clan leading and community-building is one area that inspired lots of active growth, especially for me. I would love to see elements of the current clan system carry over as it could honestly be a game of its own trying to balance leveling, questing, and community building. I hope that the old RS team will work to bring us together, as that’s what made this game amazing for much of my time playing. Also, please expand polls to more than just p2p!! At the least make it where a certain amount of total level or time played can earn you polling power(even if maybe your vote is worth less). F2P has always had just as big an impact on RS and even if the team doesn’t see any money from us it’s letting us know you want our thoughts that makes us decide to switch to p2p. This game has already brought so many players back. Now ya’ll need to give us a reason to stay! And thank you so much for making this mobile!.Version: 176.9

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽Fun AF.Version: 200.1

Saving grace! From a form old school player back when this game launched. It had my full attention back in the day, an even to this day it still happens to get played. I love the mobile edition of the game. Works a treat, I find it more interesting and relaxing than sitting at a computer. At least this way you can take it with you. I can proudly say I’ve gotten more done in this game on the mobile version of this game than I have on the desktop. More games should adapt an follow your guys progress. You folks are a couple steps Ahead from the rest! Good work!.Version: 199.1

Thank youSorry about all the creatures sending negative reviews about nonsensical things. Game is perfect and incredible. Thank you for letting us experience the wonder of 2007 again..Version: 191.1

Good game concept but plague community?I guess you really can’t blame the developers for that... My kid used to play this game day in and day out when he was younger, so I thought I’d give it a try. I like the idea of mining nodes and chopping trees for profit, but people are very aggressive in certain parts of the game and will do anything to try and hustle you out of your money. I guess you can’t expect good out of everyone but there are easy ways to manage this kind of behavior... There are detection systems, certain words should trigger these systems and also detect toxic behavior. Riot games do a great job when it comes to making the game experience as good as possible. I like this game because of the dedicated servers that they have. It’s really great and they must spend a good chunk making these servers as good as they possibly can..Version: 193.1

Great gameI really think it is a great game and I’m quite new to this franchise but I really don’t like the membership idea how I have to pay for the rest of the map basically my friends could get these items that I can’t get because I don’t want to waste money on a mobile game when I could save up for a new one but other than that great game and it runs smoothly..Version: 176.9

Wonderful. After waiting for so long, they sure delivered! The mobile app runs wonderfully and gives everyone the chance to play it as let’s face it, everyone has a mobile! The downside could be battery usage but other than that I’ve had no issues! It’s wonderful to be able to just lay in bed for an extra hour or two and still be able to train. For everyone; Ever heard of RuneScape before? Yes? Then you’ll have an idea of what the game is about! No? Ever wanted a game to progress in as much as you want at your own pace? with so much content to do that you’ll actually never want to put your phone down because you won’t stop thinking about that skill you may need to level up for a quest. Or those monsters you need to kill so you could buy some better equipment. This isn’t one of those lame games where you NEED to buy the next item to kill a monster or boss, you can deal with them any way you see fit. If you want to play the game on your own without the use of trading then there’s the option for Ironman mode. This makes you really learn the game and challenges you as you’ll have to fight the certain monsters that drop certain items instead of being able to buy them and so much more. So, whether you’re an old player considering returning for the nostalgic sake or a brand new player seeking a game with thousands of hours of content then what are you waiting for? Download the app and get started on your quest through Gielinor!.Version: 176.9

Its brilliantly faithfullThe only differences are how the menu ui is layed out and even that works well, it has all the functions of the PC version and is a must for mobile. Its weird to see it and play it on what feels identical to the pc version. As someone who did allot of the pre questionnaires regarding this game, i was worried the ideas that where originally pitched where worrying and fell into “bog standard mobile games” but this, this is a gem on mobile gaming and shows how developers can make a successful mobile port. Unlike bullzard cashgrabvision. I see it can run on a 5s which i find quite interesting and would like to see some people feedback on that. As a free player, i must say that having no micros shoveled down to say i dunno go and attack things and have to “spend energy” that cash grab this is not, this is a love letter to the runescape community that runescape can finally be enjoyed, whilst out shopping, in the park, well anywhere with a mobile data network. FANTASTIC!.Version: 176.9

AmazingThis is just the best man. A slice of nostalgia. It’s the best thing that has happened for me this month. Thank you Jagex! For anyone looking at wondering if they should download. Do it !! The games graphic are not good but that’s what we love about it. 100% love you guys RuneScape !.Version: 176.9

Update the mobile client plz, add mouse features and keyboard useGreat game played it pretty much all my life. With the release iPad Pro mouse connectivity is now possible. That being said I’d like to see typical RuneScape mouse features being added to the mobile client such as when hovering over an item you would get the name of said item in the top left corner like on the Pc client, as well as a more responsive left click. Assigning a long press to your right click is painful! I would also like to see the use F keys being implemented as well as the use of a keyboard in the chat box/interfaces’. I’m sure these little tweaks would allow for mobile client to have better and more immersive mobile gaming experience. Also can the items which drop on the ground have their names over them like in runelite. Side note; when teleporting or entering a crowed place such as the grand exchange or house party world at Rimmington the mobile client will freeze and force you the close the app and restart it, fix this immediately plz. Hope someone from Jagex reads this..Version: 189.1

Rune Scape is neatIs Neat Because I got 99 wood level cutting..Version: 176.9

Very impressiveHi, I’m a long time player of runescape and an active player of old school and I just wanted to say that I am very impressed by how easy it is to use this app. The tap response is pretty good and the interface is extremely easy to use. Features like the tap to drop and filtered spell book we’re also amazing additions that make mobile a viable option for game play. If you’re wondering why I gave it 4 stars, it’s because of the fact that this app does not refresh in the background for IOS like it does for other types of phones. This means if you lock your screen or even go to look something up, you will lose connection to the app which can get a little annoying. Other than that the only other thing I could complain about is the fact that sometimes I have a hard time dragging items to different position in my inventory or bank because the placement of the item needs to be right on the spot. This isn’t really much of a big deal and doesn’t effect gameplay at all really, I just think it’s something that could be tweaked. All in all very good app, I would have given it 4.5 if I was allowed to but if it’s made so that you can look up things on the ge webpage or wiki without disconnecting you, I would definitely come back and rate it 5 stars..Version: 177.1

Best mobile game I’ve ever playedThis game is super good. I am not old, I am a teenager. I typically have high standards for games regarding gameplay and graphics, and despite the graphics in this game, it has exceeded my expectations. The quests are nice and fun, the graphics work surprisingly well, the community is really good (if you can get past the scammers and botters) I would absolutely recommend. The amount of content In free to play is actually quite good, but I would recommend a membership. You can buy one with in game gold (no microtransactions needed) however getting that amount of gold is tough in f2p. One month of membership can be enough to get consistent enough gold to keep it as long as you play. This game has so much content in pay to play. Tons of quests and rewards, cool skills like slayer, and a huge map. Plenty of players are also willing to offer tips if you need them. Plenty of players at the ge. (Grand exchange) Edit after dev review: I actually have been a member for over 2 years now..Version: 196.2

Awesome game!!Love the game and have been playing for 8 years on and off. Oldschool runescape is the best time waster, happy to see it on mobile!!.Version: 176.9

Great but there is definitely some work to be doneI play OSRS often and when I’ve been following the news for mobile for a while so I decided to give it a shot (keep in mind I only played mobile for like 2hrs before making this)I knew this was more for the beginner or the guy that wants to lvl up while using the bathroom so I downloaded it and the login screen is very pleasing but the GUI of the actual game needs some working on it runs great on my iPhone 6 but the GUI is just bad we don’t need a button for the trade requests and the clan chat and all and the game chat it just takes up too much screen real estate and all the stuff on the left of the screen like emotes and stuff is just not needed it can be put in a sub menu infact that’s what the chat needs as well a sub menu and if you don’t do Any of these just please lower the sensitivity on the zoom in and out thanks and just btw I’m not a hater I adore OSRS I’ve been a player for a long time and I super anxious to receive my records I bought from you guys it’s just this app needs a little work and hopefully it will help the OSRS fan base grow -xSTEAMYx on the scape.Version: 176.9

My thoughtsAppart from the occasional freezing on iphone X it runs nicely There is also an issue when minimising the app which many people would do when looking up guides or when multi tasking. The game seems to play catchup when opening the game again where everything rushes to catch up to the current game state, such as sprite quickly moving, damage being applied all at once. This may also result in eventual freezing of the game mentioned above, but i am unsure as tue game just seems to randomly freeze at weird times. So far my game has not frozen while in combat or a dangerous situation, but that could be very bad. I also want to note that this game is not actually cross platform as it separates pc players from portable players, meaning you can only play with other pc players while logged in to a pc and portable players while logged into a portable device. I was hoping to play with my pc friends while i am portable so this limitation was a dissappointment for me. That said the games plays like osrs so it does what expected appart from the crashing and i have had fun playing runescape the way it used to be. Also i am looking forward to the rs3 mobile release..Version: 176.9

App works wellI have enjoyed the fact that osrs is on mobile only problem I have faced is that the buttons are to small to play this on mobile. If there was a resizing option to allow your inventory or your map this would be 5stars hands down. 4 stars just for the fact it’s on mobile so I can afk my standard things like fishing or nmz..Version: 180.1

Best thing to happen to phones and osrsIts so easy and fast to log in certain things are obviously harder than pc but honestly this is so fire i cant even believe it definitely give it a go even if ur a new player.Version: 177.1

They finally did it!Took so long but they finally did it and to a good quality level too so thankful for this to come out.Version: 176.9

Great, nothing but GreatGreat app, hadn’t played in years since I was a kid. Its exactly like the pc version. Everything works perfectly. Only thing I would ask to add is the ‘lookup’ option like on pc for highscores. Otherwise its perfect 👌I even made enough gp to get a bond for membership. Havent spent a peny. Ty Jagex.Version: 217.4

Amazing portGreat game and a fantastic port to mobile. Excellent work Jagex !.Version: 176.9

NoiceWorks well with mobile, still abit buggy when opening the app to the black screen but fixed when just exit and enter back in. Fun to play and very smooth!!.Version: 176.9

Long live JagexGreat app, it burns up the phone pretty quick and drains the battery quite fast but that’s a fine trade off for having this beautiful game on my phone..Version: 188.5

Best MMORPG of all time.My first review had to be about this masterpiece. I am one of those 90s kids who played this game after school and on the weekends on my old PC when I should’ve been studying. The game has an undeniable charm factor to it, one that has allowed it to drag me back in after so many years. It is possibly the best MMORPG of all time, which is crazy, considering its age and the fact that the game is free to play. Free to play means that it is actually free to try, but Runescape does this model perfectly, as you are able to get a satisfying taste for the main mechanics of the game before you decide to make the leap to membership. Yet before you do so, you still have hours on hours of content to go through for free. Quests are funny and interesting, combat is somewhat dated but charming in its own way as it makes the game unique, player interactions are actually a positive aspect of the game as you are able to make friends easily while you play and the mobile port is very well executed. If you are into MMORPGs and are tired of the repetitive games on the app store, you need to play this now..Version: 177.2

The only good game on a phoneBeen playing RuneScape since 2004 when I was in school. I was a member back then and I’m a member again now. The app is so good, it’s a port from the pc so none of the usual trash that comes with mobile games. Been playing for months on my phone now and it’s amazing just to pick it up whenever I get a chance and do some skilling. The only problem I have is that the mobile version has noticeably more input lag compared to a pc which can make bossing more difficult as it’s harder to dodge mechanics like the green stuff from Vorkath. But i just do the hard stuff on my pc and everything else on phone..Version: 195.1

Blast from the pastDownloaded it not long after release, I’ve managed to reach level 90 so far enjoying every second from f2p to the transition to p2p. (Wiki has really helped with this as I can’t remember much from playing years ago) Game runs smoothly even on really a bad 3g connection although I’d recommend a WiFi connection/4g in high risk. The touch screen interface is pretty easy to use although mouse and keyboard will give you a significant advantage especially high risk environments as it’s generally more accurate movements etc. Games always been full of bots and had scammers just have be careful to look beyond that to enjoy the games qualities. Also don’t click external links otherwise you might lose your account as jagex try to crack down on it all..Version: 180.1

Wow just wow...I use to play this back in 07 and when I one day came across this app on the App Store I instantly thought no way this is the runescape I use to play coming to a mobile device. To my research it actually is !! Wow !! Playing runescape in my iPhone X!! What memories this brings. I played first day straight 10 hours went from lvl 1 to level 29 in one day. Will become a member and continue to play where I left if In 07. Thank you again for bringing back the memories..Version: 176.9

5/5 Nostalgic and as fun/grindy as I rememberNote this game is not for casuals looking for a quick distraction. It’s a long haul game that is rewarding as much as it is unforgiving. Getting even one skill to 99 may take as little as weeks if you play all day every day, months if you’re committed but have other responsibilities, or years if you don’t play much at all. Its all up to you. Regardless of graphics runescape is one of a kind. There are very few mmorpgs even to this day that have as quite a diverse skill range, active community of sometimes up to 100k players and market place that is solely ran from a player economy. Runescape has had its ups and downs but with the introduction of the app, I’m hoping it’ll stick around for years to come so I can finally get all skills to 99! 🙀.Version: 180.1

Brought back my childhoodGreat move by jagex.Version: 176.9

Nostalgia Central!I used to play RS back in 2007 but life, starting a family etc meant that I didn’t have time play anymore and I forgot about it. Then a friend mentioned that OSRS is now on mobile. I had to start my account over again due to the previous transition to RS3 but it’s been great for me to relearn the game! I thought with it being mobile, it will be difficult but I actually prefer it to the PC. I wish we could have runelite or something like that but that’s another thing entirely. I’m SO HAPPY that it’s now on mobile and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last 3 months of playing :).Version: 190.1

Major account problemsUpdate: play it for only nostalgia reasons 1 star warning: Playing on the iPad Air was fine until I was hacked even when I had authentication tied to the account. Flagged saying that there was an irregular sign in breach 2 minutes into the game and I quickly changed the password and decided this game isn’t for me. The bots are everywhere in the game and I guess Jagex decided chat gpt ai is here to stay. I recommend making a new email and a new account to preserve your old accounts because this game is no longer safe. Obvious indication is when their new security is tying your account to Jagex new security is more safe than two step verification from your own phone. I’m done with the changing password and ban scares. Old account with all steps taken, had banned it about 4 times and almost got it macro permanently banned with no appeal. You have been warned. Old school RuneScape didn’t deserve to be an ai bot-scape, it was supposed to be our escape..Version: 215.4

Fun game & best gaming app I’ve seen!Great game! Has so many adventure options & quests, does get challenging at times, however is still fun grinding, has massive choice of items/crafts and so on! App itself, best app I’ve come across for gaming, doesn’t kill your phone battery! Can stay on for ages before your battery drops! Doesn’t use much mobile data! When compared to other gaming apps this is amazing! Can’t complain at all!!.Version: 209.3

HD option on normal osrs clients (Phone & pc ) 10/Good cross over, should definitely look into a HD option in the settings for normal osrs clients (Phone & pc ) 9/10 experience glade it’s still pretty active..Version: 206.3

Love itWish I could recover my old account. When I tried to recover my old one it didn’t send me an email so I tried creating a new one with the same email and it said an account already existed. Don’t know the problem there, just started over no worries. Exactly how I remember it on the pc, still a bit buggy and has frozen a few times on my iPhone 6. Besides that it brings back a lot of memories from school days and I love it. Thanks Jagex.Version: 176.9

OSRSIs there any way you could add a few plug-ins to the app to improve the gameplay like on the runelite client. It would make doing slayer so much better if we could use a loot tracker to see what our drops are on the floor. Or be able to use the bank tracker to see how much our total GP for each bank tab is. Also I cannot play the on the app because it’s says there is an update. But when I open the AppStore the is no option to update the app. It just says open and when I click on open it takes me back to the app and still says update..Version: 188.5

Just the best.I’ve played RuneScape for years, since 05 or 04. I had an account way back then which was unfortunately hacked and banned by JAGEX after probably 1000+ hours plus playing. This disheartened me and I subsequently quit the game since, I had tried to restart but I never got into RS3 as it just doesn’t have the same charm. When I saw this on the App Store my inner child at heart screamed at me to download it and I haven’t looked back since. Not only is this version of OSRS very well optimised, it is still the same game I fell in love with as a child. I’ve put considerable hours into it already (I’m a lot more patient at earning skills than I was as a child 🤣) and I’ve had so much fun. I can’t recommend this game to anyone enough, it’s just amazing. You can play casually or get really invested, and being that it’s now on a phone app it gives you the perfect platform to be both types of players. Keep it up guys I’m loving this game!! P.S, RIP Muck81, you were my escape from reality growing up :,(.Version: 199.1

THE WAIT WAS WORTH ITI can 100% agree that the wait was well and truly worth it. This is Amazing to use on my iPad mini as well as my iPhone 8+ and I love the comfortability of being able to play in bed with just as much ease of use in my opinion. They have a setting you can toggle to make things run better such as inventory drop, where they highlight it red for safety so you don’t forget, you can save battery life by setting an ‘Adjust Frames Per Second’ cap, the graphics are just like OSRS on laptop almost and no lag whatsoever. You made 2018 way better for me Jagex. Well done. Everyone at barb fishing agrees mobile is lit boys..Version: 176.9

FreezingLove that the game got brought to iOS but there’s a few issues. First of all is the freezing of the game. If you have it at 15fps it doesn’t but it’s super laggy and on 30fps rarely freezes but still does, 60fps it does every hour or so and sometimes even quicker especially if you talk to a npc with dialogue. Also would love to see runelite on iOS as there is a lot of people that play on iOS so it should be fair for the iOS community.Version: 205.2

A new way to playBeing able to play Old School Runescape without a computer is extraordinary. Playing in bed, at work, at university, on the bus and while on the toilet has never been easier. The game offers many relaxing ways to play, and being able to do so while not sitting in a chair at a computer brings the playing experience to a new level. Love the work by all the devs, and shoutout to r/2007scape.Version: 176.9

Incredible!I cannot support this game enough, as a veteran runescape player i am so glad to see this accessible to everyone with a smartphone. This is such a great experience you do not want to miss out on, every minute of play rewards you with a sense of fulfilment that never seems to fade, whether starting fresh and clawing your way up the ranks or continuing on from an old account and having that feeling of nostalgia return as fishing sharks with randoms around the world could not produce more humorous conversation! I hands down rate this best mobile game of 2018. Hats off to jagex doing an absolutely amazing job, you are all inspirations. Keep up the great work :).Version: 176.9

Dream come trueRemember the java days of trying to instal a weird app on your phone? Do you remember how it was really hard to find out a way on how to play this incredible game on ANYTHING but a PC? Because I do. This app has changed runescape forever. There are virtually no issues with this game. Buttery smooth frame rates, incredible immersive graphics and intensifying stories keep you playing for hours on end. There are thousands of hours waiting to be played here because of the sweet, sweet time the devs have spent on this. It’s a marvel of software engineering that will bring more life into this incredible game. Using the iPad Pro 2nd gen is a blast. Playing anywhere on the go has been such a thrill. Farming on the bus, mining at college, questing in bed... the list goes on and on. I would recommend the desktop client over mobile if you’re spending serious hours here but there’s no harm in appreciating how much fun you can have with a portable device playing OSRS! Well done Jagex! And all hail Mod Ash!.Version: 177.3

It’s finally here!Runescape was my childhood and with the release of old school in 2013 after some, let’s just say divisive, updates to runescape 3 I was very happy to relive the “golden” days. However I was extremely limited with the fact I’d have to be at home to play it instead of during my free time at school or more recently work. So when mobile was announced last year I was happy. And now it’s here and it’s great. But I don’t know if it was the wait or something else, but it felt like ages for winter 2017 to arrive. If you haven’t tried this game yet, I urge you to play it, it’s free with optional membership so if you do or don’t like it you have nothing to lose..Version: 176.9

A good port of a fantastic game! While PC clients such as RuneLite will always have the upper hand when it comes to playability, the whole game is playable on mobile, and is actually very well executed with its touch controls. The app takes nearly no data due to its age, and is easy on battery life too if you limit the FPS accordingly. The game itself is a masterpiece. The free to play area will get you accustomed to the game, but giving the game a go with membership will make you never want to logout. Loads of content is available, from well written quests to an absolute plethora of unlockables, it’s no wonder some people have thousands upon thousands of hours invested into their sometimes multiple characters. Give the game a shot. I did, and the only regret was that I didn’t take the plunge sooner..Version: 182.1

Love it!Awesome game have been playing since pretty much the beginning of RuneScape 2, am amazed that it is finally on mobile, only issue I’ve had is when I tried to log into my old account it has been disabled and have been refused any help from Jagex support. No idea how I have been disabled when I haven’t even had a computer to play on, first time trying to log back into the game in a few years from my mobile now, have been playing on an alt and it is every bit as awesome as I remember, although I would love to not have to do all of my grinding from scratch. 4/5 for that! Thanks team.Version: 177.3.2

Amazing!Best game ever! 🤩.Version: 176.9

Fantastic platformThe game itself has a reputation for being awesome, very deep story and strategic gameplay. The mobile platform to which the game is played through is also fantastic, and while it feels different to playing on a computer, it runs smoothly and allows the player to have a seamless experience while playing on mobile..Version: 177.2.1

RuneScape is a timeless classicThe mobile version, of the 2007 version of RuneScape, has evolved a lot since it’s classic version release in early 2013. There are some game meta issues, but honestly they’re not an issue unless you’re at the top level of PvM or PvP, which you’re unlikely to be doing on the mobile version anyway. The game is nostalgic when you first play, underneath that is the incredibly entertaining and addicting RuneScape formula which has literally thousands of hours of entertainment. The mobile version works well enough on the go, it’s not as slick to play compared to keyboard and mouse, but it’s close to the best version you could put on mobile considering the game was released long before smartphones were even a thought. We’ll done Jagex, the only thing you really need is proper customer support and better communication around bans etc..Version: 207.2

Long time RS playerI’ve been playing runescape since the early 2000’s, I’ve really enjoyed watching Jagex expand and improve the game. As an organization I put them in the top 3 developers worldwide in terms of commitment to keeping the majority of the game free to play, respecting the players, and avoiding the ever-encroaching practices of embedding adds, adding energy to play, gacha nonsense, you know the types I’m referring to. At this point the only problem I have with the old school rs app is bots. Bots bots bots. They’re everywhere. Their usernames usually consist of two words plus a series of numbers 3 or 4 characters long. I picked up the mobile app again after a break, and in the multiple weeks I’ve seen a ratio of bots to real players that’s got to be 10 to 1 conservatively. To be fair, I intentionally play on low pop servers to prevent lag, so they may just be using those worlds more. I report as many as I can, I have no clue if it makes a difference, it probably doesn’t. I don’t know what can be done, and realistically it doesn’t have a major impact my character or development, but I loathe cheating, and it makes it feel like my achievements within the game are lessened, especially given that these bots exist to make real world money for other people by allowing others to buy their way through the game. Despite that, please get the game, get RS3, support James, they are both wonderful games, and Jagex deserves all the accolades they’ve received and more..Version: 199.1

Worth it 100%It rare to find an app that simply does what you want it to do. If you’ve downloaded the roller coaster tycoon app you’ll know what I mean. It just works. Yes, there’s the occasional disconnection if your wifi is a bit dodgy and yes, it chews up your battery, but it gives you a fully fleshed out game that works as perfectly as it does on PC. If you’re new to RuneScape or a veteran, this app serves as an inoffensive platform into a world loved by thousands.Version: 179.1

👌🏻Really good, the only problem is that the music does not work well, it does not stop cutting, as if a vinyl was jumping.Version: 176.9

Huge dose of nostalgiaThe game you all remember from your childhood, as addicting if not more addicting as when I was a child. Watch out for those dark wizards heading into varrock and that pesky highwayman on the backroads to falador and you should be alright in the free version of the game. Customer service is fairly good but needs improvement, but it’s understandable considering they have to split staff between regular runescape and this remastered version..Version: 176.9

Plays nicelyBetween the intuitive arrangement of the GUI, the user friendly character and camera touch controls OSRS’ transition to mobile has been nothing short of smooth. One problem, it’s one of those games that murders batteries - This however, makes for a great chill out or road trip game provided you’re running on charge whilst enjoying your sessions. Otherwise, Old School RuneScape is definitely worth downloading for you mobile device / tablet especially if you’re looking to maximise your RuneScape membership across multiple platforms..Version: 176.9

YASSSSSSI have had no issues with mobile at all and I love how easy it is to use. I thought it would be quite difficult to play but it’s not! My only concern would be that my battery gets drained quickly but that doesn’t warrant one less star. To anyone complaining that you have to start again (and unfairly giving the app 1 star), osrs and rs3 are different games. Your progress on the original game (rs3) still exists on the ORIGINAL game. Osrs is classed as a different game and you’ll have to start from tutorial island. So just bear this in mind when downloading the app. If you already play osrs, your progress is the same..Version: 176.9

Well polished nostalgia trip!Well done Jagex, to remove the mouse from such an old game and still have it play this well is fantastic. Great for new and old players alike who want to relive their childhood!!.Version: 176.9

Good stuff10/10 would buy gf.Version: 176.9

Didn’t find a girlfriendSpent 8 hours walking around town called “lumbridge” (who names these towns rofl). Found another player who said she would be my girlfriend if I gave her all my cow hides. I did and then she logged out 10/10 realism. Naturally I compensated by maxing out my combat stats and killing a giant snake looking thing over and over! 12/10 would waste my life playing this game again..Version: 177.1

A childhood godsendWhen you were 7 years old with a 15K bank and members only zones were shrouded in mystery, could you have predicted you’d be playing the same game on a touch screen mobile device 5 times stronger than your current PC 15 years later? See you in Gilenor, Nostradamus..Version: 178.2

It’s Winter 2017 everyone!Whether you’re a brand new player, a returning player or a long time veteran this game on mobile is just the right thing for you. I’ve had the iOS beta for a while now so I’ve had experience playing OSRS on mobile and let me be the first to say the experience was absolutely fantastic. The game is exactly the same or not better than the desktop version. The FPS is incredibly smooth and the setting which lets you change the FPS allows longer battery usage. The fact the game is now portable makes it so much more accessible. You play with other players who are using the PC version of the game and you can use the same account. I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves MMORPGs and loves the relaxing grindy type of games. There is so much to do in this game it’s unbelievable. Massive thanks to Jagex for making OSRS mobile possible they have been working incredibly hard to get this game to the players for their mobile devices. The app is incredibly polished..Version: 176.9

AmazingThis app is absolutely amazing. This is my first time playing runescape and I am already addicted to this game. I love how this game is not pay 2 win. The only thing that counts as a micro transaction is getting membership. But you can use the in game currency to pay for the membership. This runs perfectly on my iPhone 8. Thank you..Version: 176.9

Great game!So after many years of playing in my childhood I decided to make a fresh account and start playing again once I heard the game was available on mobile. Best decision I’ve made, they really have done wonders making the game available on the go and not limited to just desktop in this day and age! The gameplay is faultless and the game itself is brilliant millions of hours of entertainment and fun gaming to be played. Had to give it the full 5 stars even though recently there have been many server issues with people trying to hack Jagex. Please get these issues fixed ASAP. Overall a brilliant game!! Would recommend to anyone to give it a go :).Version: 187.1

Three words: This Is amazingThis game doesn’t deserve 5 stars... it deserves 5000 stars!! It is an amazing game and I love it and play it all the time! But there is one problem that I am annoyed by... the membership. It costs a good amount but I can’t get it because it say’s to put in a credit or debit card. Could you plz try and fix this and then you will get 9001 stars. #Over9000.Version: 181.2

Best MMORPG of Yesterday and Today.I have been playing Runescape since 2008. I used to watch my brother play and the game was fascinating to me. I have always loved this game, it’s got the best progression and achievement system that keeps you coming back for more even decades later, it’s so good that it is addicting. You start in the world with all level 1 skills (all skills cap at 99) and you are not forced to go any where or forced to endure any quests or skills you do not like. This is a VAST open world with an INSANE amount of interconnected NPCs, Storylines/Lore, Bosses and History. This game has so much to offer and i highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in a well-developed MMORPG with a nostalgic graphical theme. This game may be a bit overwhelming at the very creation of your first account because there is just SO MANY options, so many quests with very worthwhile rewards, skills that effect every style of gameplay, bosses that have interesting mechanics and drop the best armor and weapons. 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested in PC/MOBILE MMORPGs..Version: 194.1

Awesome gameThe game is awesome and the game runs fairly smoothly for a game of its size. The only thing that would make it better would be possibly swapping around the icons so the inventory and spellbook are on the same side because currently alching items on mobile isn’t the most enjoyable experience. Having a customisable HUD where you could just swap the side each tab is on would be a very helpful QoL feature.Version: 181.1

Nostalgia at its finestI started my RuneScape journey playing RuneScape classic with my older brother and some of his friends until the release of Rs2 “OSRS” the goat of my childhood gaming! I played for several years still to young at the time to truly enjoy or understand the game but still had some of my greatest gaming memories bank sitting skilling or doing low lvl pvm. I was an avid player until school and life caught up to me and I gradually stopped playing shortly before the release of rs3. I have now since returned to the game shortly after mobile release and played on my phone exclusively for about a year in f2p leveling and getting ready for p2p content. I presently have a sizable bank and only have two quests left till I get the coveted quest point cape this game gets knocked on a lot but I truly believe it’s by players who don’t understand the game or have never been really good at it. RuneScape is not for everyone the community has its ups and downs bots run rampant in f2p and p2p alike but the games hardships aren’t any different then any game similar and all the negative aside it has brought millions of people together made life long friendships and even nurtured love leading to irl marriages and families with all that said if you don’t mind having to earn your way and aren’t opposed to a grind RuneScape in any form is for you..Version: 202.1

Amazingly nostalgic <3I played the original game when it first came out for several years and must say the app is brilliant, just how I remember it just hearing the log in music brought a massive smile to my face. The only issue I have is having to start over from scratch even though I logged on with my original runescape account. But if I’m being honest it’s been that long since I’ve played I don’t mind starting over so much as it’s very nostalgic and surprising how much I still remember of the game and the fact that I can take the game anywhere now is amazing. So thank you to Jagex and the app developers for making me a very happy chappy <3 x.Version: 176.9

Fantastic!I have been playing Old School RuneScape for the best part of 10 years on and off. It's a game that takes a little time to get into but once you do, it really grips you. There is a wealth of content throughout the game that caters to both hardcore and casual players. Having the game come to mobile is a huge positive and it plays exceptionally well. Having the ability to quickly jump on for 20 minutes at intervals throughout the day when I have spare time is a fantastic bonus. Really hoping that the game benefits because of this and gains a host of new players. Keep up the good work Jagex!.Version: 176.9

Right back into RuneScapeThanks to this mobile version it has helped me and my friend get right back into the game after I got hacked back in 2006 and my friend tried his hardest to get my account back only for him to get banned due to him trying to get back into my old account. Thanks to this game I have learned my lesson for when I was 7 or 8 and will never tell my password to anyone. The game is great fun and there is just so much to do. The people on this game so far have been much friendlier compared to when I played it as a kid. I highly recommend to download this game again even if you need to create a new account..Version: 181.2

AFKing while out & batter issuesRegarding battery drain issue: go into setting and turn the FPS down to the lowest it can go. This will immensely decrease the strain the game has in your battery. AFKing: this is such a great game to afk while on public transport or waiting around for something. I can just jump on and do some fishing/woodcutting while I’m away from my desktop..Version: 176.9

All consumingThis game will consume your life. Stop while you can. Source: Been addicted to some form of Runescape since 2006..Version: 178.3

:)Hours upon hours of timeless content, now made easier to access while away from home with mobile. Love being able to train any of the stats I want, even while away from my setup for a long amount of time..Version: 186.1

A diamond gem behind the grindI’ve played this is middle school and recently came back a year ago. The mobile client runs the game flawlessly and very smoothly. I also play on my tablet and pc. RuneScape has some of the most beautiful quests as well as true player freedom than most of the games I’ve ever played. That’s what’s so beautiful about it. After passing a short tutorial, you are free to do whatever you please. Want to kill some enemies? Maybe you liked mining/smithing or fishing/cooking. Do you want to cast magic? Or shoot arrows. The beautiful thing is that you can do it all at your own pace. You could jump into some quests or you could go explore! But don’t be fooled, a lot of this game can be Grindy. But to be honest, that’s why you keep coming back. There’s various stages of the game and even bossing and raids at the end. So welcome to Gielinor! Stay a while and have fun. Be careful of the Wilderness that’s to the North where players can attack other players ;) unless you’re willing to risk the items that you’re carrying!.Version: 176.9

Absolutely awesome!I’ve been waiting for this to come out since last year, and am definitely impressed by how well it runs on iPhone. OSRS gives a great hit of nostalgia for me as it was my favourite game growing up. Definitely give this a go and take up the free 7 days of membership as well so you can experience the full game and the endless amount of content that is available..Version: 176.9

More graphics options/scammersThis game is amazing but still need better compatibility for my ipad pro. Anti-aliasing function should be great for this game because on my iPhone 7 it looks better. Should be more smooth. Also I have been scammed (yes I never thought because I know every scam but they got me my fault). Scammers everywhere mostly GE I daily reporting them. They promoting Phishing websites mostly. So easy for new player to be scammed. There should be somebody in every world at GE and banning them perms ip bans for them and investigate properly because I think they are big gang (ips based in amsterdam). Take legal action against them. I sent many emails with the websites but u probably never received my emails because of your spam filter. I opened case on forum about that. No solution. Give me special power in the game and I can do a lot I can stay at ge switching worlds and hunt the scammers. So easy isn’t it? But I know u can’t do that. Or hire me and I can build team and start war :) As a oldschool player (I was playing Rs since 2007) but many times I stopped and then I grow up then gf, work no more time for playing but all the time I enjoy playing this game. That was my honest review I giving you 4 Stars guys and please don’t let the scammers doing their job. Amazing game with history and I’m so happy that I can play mobile :) Thank you Jagex. Gl.Version: 177.3

Black screenI LOVE this game but I can only give it 3 stars because I keep getting a black screen when I open the app up or it says I’m not connected to internet when all other apps work on internet. I updated my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled and I’m STILL getting the same black screen! Couldn’t play last night or this morning. Please fix!!!! I just bought member and can’t play, I’m going to have to cancel if it’s still unplayable..Version: 186.1

Needs to work on involving a new fan baseSo as a person who’s been playing the game on and off since 2006 I love it. Everything runs pretty much flawlessly and as I would have expected it to run. And it is a fantastic app for people who play/have played RuneScape since oldschool an rs3 separated. Now for people who haven’t played the game before I could see going into the game being VERY confused. I haven’t done tutorial in a long time, but I can imagine being dropped into this MASSIVE game and having absolutely no idea what to do. XP rates I already know will be so slow to users that aren’t familiar with the game in comparison to other phone MMO’s and i can see users getting extremely annoyed, extremely quick. I’m not sure how to combat this to get new, long term users into the game without creating a whole new mobile version but It will without a doubt become a problem if it hasn’t already which will stifle the MASSIVE potential that a mobile version of this game has. With that being said, as an on and off player, I think it is very well done so kudos to the team for pulling this off so well..Version: 176.9

Incredibly smooth launch. Blast from the pasBeen waiting for OSRS mobiles since I got the first iPhone. They have integrated it better then I could of imagined. Looks, runs and plays amazing on mobile. Phone gets a bit hot and drains the battery a bit on the iPhone 6. But never phone will likely run better..Version: 176.9

ABSOLUTE FLASHBACK!This is such a blast from the past! I can’t believe this is on mobile and this great! I’m sure there are so many people that will feel the same way! I do have a slight issue where my keyboard randomly appears and I have have to exit the game to to remove it, but on a final note this is a great experience and Thankyou!.Version: 176.9

Very fun, convenientThis is a super fun game, mobile is very convenient when you have some time to kill throughout the day. However, runelite mobile needs to be added In order to get a 5 star rating from me.Version: 220.1

Great RPG Game for All agesI enjoyed this back in 2007 and I still do.Version: 178.3

Fps dropsI’ve noticing FPS drops since last patch, which makes the game unplayable. Mobile and PC, had to switch client on PC, that’s unfortunately not an option for mobile..Version: 207.3

The game is awesome, but the app absolutely murders my batteryThe app is pretty smooth and the game is great but within seconds my phone is hotter than hell and the battery went from 100% to 70% in 5-10 minutes with the screen turned down..Version: 176.9

Fantastic Game!, Completely Mobile Friendly Port (10 Yr Vet.)OldSchool Runescape is a fantastic mmorpg, that on the surface may seem like a grab at your nostalgia cords, but truly, this game is a fully supported and developed MMORPG with a thriving community and dedicated developers who are constantly listening to the community (through twitter, reddit, weekly Q&As). The addition of 95% of content is polled in-game from very minor balancing changes, to the addition of completely new areas. Overall, OSRS is a fantastic game of progression and grind that is very fulfilling at all stages of the game. Mobile is the culmination of the dedication of Jagex to constantly create a quality product that is not just a poor attempt at taking our money. This COMPLETELY FREE port allows you to take control of the same character that you can access on PC with literally the same ease of play as PC. The mobile version does not suffer with mobile controls, where many other mobile games do and the interface works fantastically and is not OP nor is it impossible to use. I was able to kill Zulrah, KBD, KQ, all GWs bosses and complete a handfull of difficult quests all on mobile without any struggle. Jagex has really outdone themselves and any person should give this game a try. GL and HF!.Version: 177.1

Finally ❤️Yaaaaas! As a dedicated rs player I am thrilled I can now do some skilling on the road! Chilling at work, in bed, sometimes walking, its great I can now work on getting my 99’s and not worry about having to use my pc all the time. Thank you for finally bringing this to ios. Greatly appreciated 👌🏼.Version: 176.9

AmazingThis is the best mobile game you will ever play, trust me. It is incredibly fun. It’s like no other! It might be a bit complicated at first, but ask around and you’ll get a hang of it! Also, some tips. Do quests. This is incredibly important because you don’t want to be level 50 defence and only using iron armor. They also are fun and they sometimes give you something you can’t buy or loot, like the ability to raise cat pets or have a quest-only piece of armour like the anti-dragon shield or fancy boots. Read guides. They are incredibly helpful and will speed you up immensely. Get membership. Pay some real life money or use in-game wealth to get membership and then after that, you don’t have to pay at all. Membership money making methods give much more money than F2P. Maintaining membership is very easy. (Don’t buy membership until you have got a hang of the game and have at least 60 combat level though.).Version: 188.4

Nearly just as good as on PC!Controls are so easy to use and everything done on pc can be done the same on mobile, which is amazing! Great game and have been playing for years. I recently took a break but I must admit this has made me come back to the game! I’m able to do high intensity activities on the game aswell which I did not expect and Jagex have utilised the screen space very efficiently, making the game just as enjoyable on mobile. I didn’t expect it to be this good on mobile, so great job Jagex!!.Version: 176.9

At the shops. After a long day spent playing RS at home on my pc, my missus comes into my office and asks me if I can come down to the shops and get groceries for tea together. I say “sure babe” as I logout of RS and proceed to get into the car. We stop at some lights on the way to our destination and my missus looks over and asks me how my day was. “Great babe, great. I got some tassets at bandos and an attack level.” She’s not that impressed. We arrive at the supermarket and she asks me to push the trolley. “Sorry babe I’m in the middle of something.” “The middle of what?” She asks, to which I reply “just finishing off an email dear” (as I finish off a rooftop agility course.) to be continued....Version: 177.1

Jagex never disappointsAs an og osrsper (2001), I have to say that the phone crossover is a noice touch. Decided to give it a revisit and was immediately brought back to my windows xp childhood days. Had a bug issue with linking my email to the game and addressed it to the developers, received a reply the very next day from mod Herc and his professional assurance on the matter. To my surprise, the bug was fixed a few days after the email! What an amazing team. I find myself sneaking this game in on my daily any chance I get!.Version: 188.5

Awesome game playLove this old school game but I can’t connect through the server through Facebook on the desktop vision I can if possible can please fix it.. love the game keep up with good content..Version: 177.3

OldSchool is the bestI’ve played RuneScape 3 (and got the completionist cape which is basically where you do everything) and that’s the new one for people who haven’t played this game in years. Old school is the version we all love and remember it’s just as good as ever honestly if you don’t get addicted there’s something wrong haha. Would 100% recommend getting membership straight away it’s like less than £10 a month which is nothing compared to most mobile games out there! You won’t find any pay walls and you can actually have something decent to play on your phone unlike every game out there at the minute where you have to pay £££ to even have a decent gaming experience. You may as well pay less that £10 for a full month of UNLIMITED fun no pay walls here! Would 100% recommend to everyone new players and returning ones!.Version: 176.9

Bond pouch won’t appear for mobile again.Hey all, So rs iv Ben off and on since I was 13, I’m nearly 30 now, and I’m playing more than ever before, new account fresh start, I’m an iron man as well, it brought back every last bit of nostalgia from all my previous years in game as a kid, Evan more to do, my account is currently all 70+ stats Evan some skills close to 90 now. Like mining and fishing cooking, agility is about 80, magic is close to 90, I have completed desert treasure for the first time ever, have over 150kills in barrows mini game,The issue I’m having on Ios, is that if my subscription ends, My bond pouch disappears, I recently upgraded to iPhone14 pro, Set up my Apple wallet, I’m not able to pay for my bonds in game or Evan on the website. Note: I could never pay using Apple Pay on the site. But in game was no problem. But without a bond pouch within the App Or any solution to fix this issue, I’m now stuck waiting for my bond pouch to come back. Otherwise I cant confirm my payments with Apple Pay option. I won’t play as a f2p player. The games fantastic though, please fix bond pouch Not appearing in game, and allow players to use there Apple Pay options more frequently. there’s always room for improvement, there will always be minor issues, I consider this issue to be a bit more than minor, considering I won’t bother playing now. So please fix this. “Everyone else” (Enjoy the Endless Grind).Version: 212.3
