✓ Worst run jump mechanic in yearsIt's a single bar with some weird switch, it's the dumbest mechanic I've played in prob 5 years. It's like on Xbox where they try to make "jump" one of the trigger buttons like that'll be cool, only 1000x worse..G$-makerVersion: 1.0.3

✓ Good... sometimesThe game is fun at some points and the leveling up of characters is enjoyable, but the controls are difficult to get the hang of and some quests are significantly more difficult than others. Especially ones where you are supposed to get like 100 coins in one run and there are only like 5 coins in the first 500 meters. When the challenges are near impossible and the payoff is literally nothing but skin change then the game feels very disappointing. The game has potential but lacks in too many areas for it to be truly fun..Needs iPhone 5 supportVersion: 1.0.3

✓ Better ifThis game looked very fun and interesting. Good graphics. At first I saw the sliding control mechanism and was like “ok let’s try this out” made it to the second stage and stopped playing. Runventure would be an amazing game, hands down, if only you could change the controls. At least have an option for the classic arrow buttons and then a button to jump. If the controls were changed then I’d definitely give this game more stars. Don’t waste your time for right now, at least until they change the controls..Zamba0207Version: 1.0.3

✓ No......slide thingy control, a stupid irritating ‘pretentious’ indie ‘we want to be different and have a cool new way to play’ system. One button to run and one button to jump, simples. I wouldn’t be so mean with my review if they had different control options for those who find the slide thing as irritating as Len Goodman doing the Sports Relief announcement in Sainsbury’s...*squeals*...but nothing else is offered. ✓ InfuriatingThe control mechanic is just SO hard to get along with. I like the art style of the game (and the trailer) so wanted to give it a good shot (I even pre-ordered it on the store), but it was just death after death after reset-to-the-beginning after death. In the end, it just didn’t feel worth the effort. Also, that relentless background bird racket in level one?! Did anybody consider how irritating that might get for people who take 30 shots just to complete the first stage without dying (like me)? ✓ Too EasyThere’s not much variety of characters to play as and all of them are really easy to unlock. It only took me a week to unlock all avatars(and I rarely play). What would make it better is to add more levels to each avatar and also make the challenges harder (adding jumping counts, jumping over obstacles, etc..) which would improve gameplay overall. Also there are a few spots that lag and glitch (the vultures glitch a lot as well as when you unlock all characters and click on chest symbol you are automatically kicked off app). I have passed the 1st level after a few attempts hoping that you can start from 2nd level when you die but nope it took me all the way to level 1 making you to play from beginning. ✓ No need to try and reinvent the wheelSimple forward/back and jump buttons have worked just fine for games for years. No need to stray away from that very simple and intuitive control scheme. This single bar control is unintuitive, confusing, and difficult to adjust to. I'm all for progression and improvements to control design, but this is not that. ✓ Objective not reasonableI’ve been enjoying the game. The level variety, designs, and even the controls are all good. The problem is that some of the characters have unreasonable objectives in order to complete max level. I am stuck with two characters needing to collect 80-120 coins in one life. This is ridiculous. A good run is about 20-40 coins. The challenge is not to scale with the rest and is it way to difficult for this game. Fix this and I will adjust my rating. Thanks.DopeBroVersion: 1.0.3
