✓ A lot of different games packed in one app.Alright so for a while I skipped on this app, however it’s free to download and even better there are a ton of free stories + each story lets you try it for free. Some have small portions and some others are pretty long before they make you buy the book. Try this app, and if you are into supernatural give Wayhaven a try and if you like a good mystery or you are very good at making connections try Evertree Inn. Happy ready~.Version: 2.5.2
✓ Community College Hero 2As someone who’s been waiting for this game just about since the first one was released, I’m more than happy to say it exceeded my expectations!! The first game did a good job of setting the world up and highlighting potential conflicts, and this one followed through perfectly on everything the first promised. Some of the stats get refined, which was a nice touch up since they’re easier to navigate than the first game. The length was great, the choices actually came into play, and while I’ve only done one run so far, I believe the replay value will be pretty high just because of the branching options the story offers at several points. You also really got a chance to flesh out just what kind of hero your MC is, so that was another bonus. On top of that, all the other characters’ personalities play perfectly against everyone else’s, and by the end of the game, I felt even closer to them than I did by the finish of the first. Overall, probably the best middle installment for a series out of all the CoGs. Looking forwards to seeing how the series is wrapped up!!.Version: 1.2.2

✓ Community College Hero 2.5I’ve been playing the og demo since it came out so I’m very happy to see it finally completed! It adds more character interactions for the side characters which I generally love to see. It adds cute/fun little moments for your ROs as well. There’s also the unlockable character centered short stories you can get. Dr. Hover’s is my favorite of the three. 2.5 really helped to build on the Afterthoughts which will be important for their book 3 side quest! It’s nice to see the author try new things and really build on his skills since the first book..Version: 2.3.2

If you are looking for some more “grounded” or realistic books I would go for hosted games while if you are looking for more fantasy titles or new worlds in a sense go for choice of games.Version: 2.4.7

✓ A tragedy for the agesNever has an interactive fiction filled me with such emotion. The first time I finished it I cried profusely, overcome with feelings of sorrow and love. The second time, I was surprised that those emotions bubbled through me once again. The writing of the characters and plot is something akin to genius, and I await with bated breath for book 2. ✓ Almost perfect!With this last update the app has become almost perfect. You can now see what you previously viewed, your favorites and what you have purchased. These along with the search function really help to organize things when you have some who has invested a lot of time in these stories. My only suggestion would find a way to categorize the different stories with tags that can be used to help people find stories that have similar elements. Also a comment section or a way to rate each story in app. This isn’t totally necessary but it would help in deciding which ones a player should try..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Gorgeous storiesCannot stress this enough, the interactive fiction on here is amazing. I’m saying this as somebody who just spent the last 6 hours on a Sunday night reading The Golden Rose. (Totally gonna regret staying up so late in the morning.) I could not take my eyes away, most of the stories on this app although do cost a little bit of money are worth every single penny. The care authors put into their work, from the coding to having to write more words in 1 work book than the 3 Harry Potter books combined just blows me away. I’m shocked - appalled even that these app and the authors on here get very little recognition for their craft. ✓ Breach: the archangel jobI have played a lot of games both by choice of games llc and hosted games and I have got to say... I have never read a story that was as good as this one. Every time I thought I was going to die I got lucky, and every time I thought I was going to succeed it never always went my way. I thought it was going to be very stereotypical when I started it, but it truly blew me away. It was funny and serious and always new how to keep me interested. All of the characters are unique and interesting in their own ways and they all have depth as well. This game is a true 10/10 for me. ✓ The golden rose book 1The golden rose is one of the best, if not THE best, choice of games I’ve read. This is one that I had a hard time putting down. The romance was natural and it actually made me feel giddy. The NPCs were actually fleshed out and have their own interesting backgrounds. I found myself caring for them. She definitely did not let me down as I began to read and began obsessing over this series. I love that the author lets us decide where the lead character goes and to whom she trusts or dislikes. The author has put a lot of thought and work into this series and it shows because of how great of a job she did. The main one is the game will crash as I’m scrolling through the stories, or as soon as i open the app. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t. Depends on my luck. The next bug is with loading bigger stories. It will say I can’t read the story because of a “Network Error,” meanwhile I can still read and download the other stories. ✓ Hosted games, Choice of games, and Hearts choiceI’ve personally been enjoying stories on all these sights and it is incredibly fun and interesting to enjoy a piece of literature that you can select the outcome. When I play these games I play on mobile. That being said I have a few issues with the UI that you use. When I put on dark mode in the app I want everything to be in dark mode including the menu and the top bar in the story. I love stories with replay abilities but there is no way to delete saves. Or depending on the story adding a save system you can use mid story so one accidental choice ruins your play through. I really enjoy these games but these things get on my nerves a bit. But out of all of those things I listed I really want to see the complete dark mode on Choice of games, Hosted games, and Hearts choice..Version: 2.5.6

✓ Wayhaven Chronicles: Book TwoI had very high hopes for this sequel and it did not disappoint at all! The characters are their own and feel as if they could be real people you see in everyday life. There’s a plentiful amount of choices, so you don’t feel boxed into certain reactions or forced to pick between two extremes. The characters will actually change their attitudes toward you when you change yours. It also isn’t obvious as to how your decision will affect the storyline. If I had to pick an aspect I liked least, it would be continuity only because there are moments that feel short but somehow last an entire morning or afternoon (though that honestly doesn’t bother me much). Beautifully written and detailed, in most titles I’ve played that has longer descriptions of the environment it’s felt tiresome and irrelevant, but in Rose the author has such talent that their writing brings you into the world of the game(as it should be considering it’s all written word) If you want to play a game where everyone down to the passing background characters are interesting and well written then I would definitely give this story a try, it’s well worth the money! The story is so, so interesting. I love how the main character even has their own background independent of your roleplay so that they feel part of the story instead of just an observer of events which can happen in some games. It’s a long read with tons of places to explore and things to do so I highly recommend it. I’ve been waiting a few years since the demo released to play the full experience and I can tell you it exceeded my already high expectations. ✓ A fine changeI have been a loyal supporter of COG and Hosted games for several years and have bought most released games on IOS. I’m aware that the change of adding new games to a single app rather than releasing a new app for every game is a necessary change. As far as the consumer’s outcome of this deal goes, I feel that is a welcome change. So far, the app has been convenient to use and I imagine that the COG omni app is basically the same. I would recommend adding all of the company’s games to the apps sometime in the future. ✓ The Grim and I: It’s Not All GrimWhat a delightful, intense, beautiful game. Not at all what I expected. Grim in parts, but also witty, surprising, funny, and intensely emotional. There were scenes where I literally teared up. Dreamlike, shocking, at times all too real. Your choices really do affect the story. The author does a marvelous job of putting you in the shoes of the recently deceased. The reader is by turns confused, frustrated, touched, determined, and in my case, ultimately victorious. ✓ CCH 2 ReviewThe omnibus is fine, a bit annoying because of the fact that it exists(because you can’t rate individual games, as far as I know) but it works fine and it’s a good app. However, this review if of the game Community College Heroes 2: Knowledge is Power, for those interested. I recommend it if you’ve played the first game, but newcomers to the series should not start with this one. ***Contains Minor Spoilers for CCH 2: Knowledge is Power*** CCH2 review. 3.5/5 stars It started off great, and it had an amazing story. It was told really well and some of the scenes were incredibly emotional and some were fun. It was lacking, however, in many other places. There was no transparency between which skills increased(such as in the first game), a lot of choices were false_choices, and some actual “choices” had no real effect. Often times, during the strategist route, strategic choices were ignored, only being used for the illusion of choice and player agency. Also, unlike the first game, companions were not expanded on. There are many time jumps, not unlike the first game, however in between these time jumps is just way too much exposition and sometimes needless events that don’t develop the characters we love. Despite this, the story felt heavy around Crook, while abandoning others. It was what Crook felt, what he wanted, his revenge. Crook and the MC were the only focuses. The romances could be much improved as well. Despite engaging in a full on relationship with Dirty Girl in the first book, the relationship status is determined by a single choice, rather than affinity development with characters. This brings me to Stoic. The beloved Stoic. MY beloved Stoic. The dialogue choice that chooses the relationship includes Stoic as someone who the MC is crushing on and this absolutely cancels ALL other previously developed relationships. Not only that, but Stoic's approval may drop seemingly randomly, despite appeasing to her “personality”(double-meaning) or focusing on her(which aids with developing affinity points). I could be wrong, and I will do another play through to try and get Stoic's affinity as high as possible, but with an 89% it seems that Stoic, despite us being led to believe so, is not romance-able. The game even gives the option that would seem like it would romance her, however this seems to not be true in the slightest. Overall, Stoic, in some aspects, was a little bit of a let down, despite having been, and still being, my favourite character of the series. I don’t believe she was handled well, regarding affinity and specifically in the last issue, and could have been handled better. This game, despite being a few thousand words longer, felt much more restrictive, with only minor scene changes for some choices. There were many different options for development as well as exposition that were incredibly well executed in the first game that this one simply misses, relatively often. It may have sacrificed a slight amount of quality for length. Further gameplay will be done to prove or disprove my points. There are currently three more required playthroughs of other MCs, and at least one more with a full pursuit of Stoic(despite already having tried) to determine the final score. For now, however, it receives 3.5/5 for a strong story, but more restrictive and deceiving choices as well as underdeveloped characters and needless events and exposition. I do realize that certain choices relied on the previous game and may not have been able to translate well, but many simple mistakes could have avoided if the more complex routes had been taken. Even adding a few choices regarding relationships such as “I am dating DG but I’m also interested in Stoic secretly.” It would have made the relationship be consistent and open the “possibility” of Stoic being available. Had Stoic been pursued in that path, a breakup scene could have been written. After all that, I still love this game to pieces. I desperately cannot wait another three to five years for the next instalment. Highly recommended to fans of the series, but newcomers should begin with the first book..Version: 1.2.2
✓ All Awesome EXCEPT for a REALLY Annoying GlitchThere are some games that I really love but have given up on just because they keep resetting to the very beginning when I log off the app no matter how far I am into the game. I wish saving your place in the game were an option for all games, but it’s not so I’m scared of closing the app now lest I have to start over. Currently not as useful since there isn’t much of a selection at the moment, but once more games are available on the app I’m sure it’ll be a much appreciated feature. Will games released before the app be moved to the app as well? ✓ Some of the best interactive storytelling I’ve ever encounteredI strongly recommend the entire Dragoon Saga, and Lords is the best game to come out of it so far. Its gameplay has just the right amount of complexity to be fun and quite replayable, its storytelling is engaging and interesting, and its worldbuilding is enjoyable to look at no matter how deep you want to dive..Version: 2.5.6
✓ The Vampire RegentThis game has a lot of interesting choices, paths and endings. I liked how all the characters were written and the consequences of the choices. One of the only complaints I have is the ending, there’s no closure to it. Hopefully there will be a sequel, I’ve loved most of the games on the app so far!.Version: 2.3.0
