✓ Game won't workI have played this game since it came out and enjoyed playing that's why I purchesed everything available but ever since up date it won't load up all I get is a white screen then comes back out of game how do I take the last update of.Version: 34.00
✓ Horribly buggyI love this game and have all the expansions. I’ve owned both this and the prior before they made you repurchase everything. But because I enjoy the game so much I re-purchased everything. I’ve well north of scores of games played in. The graphics on this new version are nice. A bit gimmicky for my taste but not a big deal. Unfortunately they apparently did NO TESTING WHATSOEVER before release. I updated this afternoon and have had no less than 10 crashes and lost track of the number of bugs I’ve hit. In the current version it’s unplayable. Let me give some examples. When you hit the guru card or another card that allows you to select a spell you can ONLY select the last card. But that is misleading because it doesn’t matter what card you select you’ll get a random card not even in those shown. I had four items in my inventory and wanted to pick up the item on the space and drop one of my other items but only the last item could be selected. So on and so forth. So if you’ve not updated yet DON’T. In my case I’m going to stop playing until the next update in hopes they return the game to playable. I don’t expect anything to be perfect but the prior version was a great game. This one isn’t even playable. Total fail for the development team behind this one.....Version: 21.0

✓ Online functionality doesn’t workI paid $6 for the app only to find that you can’t switch between apps without being kicked out of your online game, which makes trying to play online games pretty pointless. ✓ MOST OF MY PURCHASES GONEWell, I finally decided to buy this “improved” version of Talisman, and after following the rules of checking in with Asmodee and such, I end up with almost none of the purchases I bought in the older game. I had hoped the Case of the Missing Content had been solved by now. How about it? Anyone out there willing to look into this and fix this screw-up? ✓ Where did all of my purchases go?First I have to download the lite version for some reason, but i did it. Also have to create an asmodee account, but I did it. Then I connect to my new account and log into my new and improved lite version to see all of my purchases except reaper for some reason are gone. EDIT Finally got all my purchases back. Had to fight to get the Reaper expansion for some reason. Had to go into my old app and restore purchase a couple of times but it finally synced up. I now have every thing I paid for originally. I will never know why I had to go through this. I will always be a little sour over what happened..Version: 14

✓ Love the game but latest update crashes nonstopDon’t get or update this app until they fix the latest release. Crashes every couple minutes. If they do, then I can recommend. The gameplay is fun and keeps a lot of the board game enjoyment intact. But right now, it is unusable. Hopefully fixed soon..Version: 21.0

✓ Needs fixingOne of my favourite games ever, I’ve been playing it for a few years now and it used to be a fun game that I would happily play for ages, but it just seems to get worse with every update. Every time there’s a major update I have to reinstall all the add ons I’ve purchased. Gameplay just seems to get worse with constant crashes and glitches and all progress made in earlier versions disappears. After the last update I’m back down to level 1 after previously being level 45 and all of my rewards vanished. Perhaps I’m being naive in thinking that updates were supposed to fix and improve an app. Won’t be spending any more money on this!.Version: 22.15
✓ Dice algorithm needs work.I have the board game and have wished I could play it more so I was excited to see a digital version but after about 7 games the amount of 1’s and 2’s I keep rolling in each separate game severely out numbers the amount of 4, 5’s, and 6’s I very very rarely roll. I get 1’s and 2’s about 55% of the time 3’s 25% of the time 4’s about 15% of the time and 5’s and 6’s about 5% of the time. The AI seems to have more of an even chance to roll any number. In one games full round I had to roll 5 times total and 3 of them were ones, 1 was a 2 and the last a 4. I want to play the game more but the dice rolls make me want to delete the game..Version: 28.04
✓ Not loading expansionsEver since Asmodee has taken over the game, I have had to go through a work around process in order to play the game with the expansions that I bought for it. ✓ New version did not update old purchasesI updated to the new version, and linked it to the new account. I linked all my old expansions, and add-ons to the account. It shows my old purchases, as purchased, but the content is not available in the game. I bought the Woodland, and it did not purchase it. I have re-downloaded, updated, installed higher graphics, and re-logged the game. My purchases are still not available in game. The game was great until I had to update, and link my account. ✓ Do not buy this app.Seriously, don't buy this and ABSOLUTELY don't buy any DLC because you will lose access to it. They keep driving requirements to force you to allow more and more invasive tracking, the latest appears to be Game Center. No thanks, don't use it, won't use it. It's PAID content asmodee, we should not have to let you track and market to us too, especially when you change the terms long after the purchase. Revert the change, or refund our money. Update: unlike every other game vendor they now require a Game Center id for dlc, rather than simply restoring purchases via the Apple account. That's because they no longer can exploit the deviceid to link the asmodee account (which was pretty creepy). I suspect this all is so they can track use and purchases. There are simple solutions to solve it they refuse to do. Do not buy this app..Version: 19.8
✓ Yeaah naah.A lot of nice things about this game, but the lack of player created games is a big let down. When i can find an online match, i go to join but get instantly disconnected. No login rewards, all extra heroes have to be purchased with cash. If there were login rewards and a chance to buy other heroes with in game currency, the rating would rise..Version: 14.5

✓ After Every Stinking Update......Download Higher Quality Graphics And Sound?” Every single time. Such a needlessly tedious step. And now, I also find that I am logged out of my Asmodee account as well! Do you remember your account name and password? I sure don’t. So it’s off to my password manager to find the info AGAIN. You will also need to re-type your password because the app doesn’t support pasting from the clipboard. Don’t skip this step, though, because you won’t have access to any of your purchases if you do. Also, don’t simply go to the store and try to buy them again to restore your purchases because they will happily sell everything to you a second time if you’re not careful. Don’t be fooled by the fact that SOME of your purchases show-up without logging in! Are they incompetent or crooked? ✓ Buggy but goodTalisman is a good board game that takes a long time to play. The expansions are free so long as someone else has them. However the game can be a bit buggy (although the pc version is way worse) and enabling to many expansions at once makes the game overly complicated and hard to sit through. I own the game and a bunch of expansions on Steam and it wall supposed to be cross platform which was a big selling point for me. All expansions gone contacted Nomad before seeing the Asmodee Digital support advice (not sure if they are the same) but they told me to delete game and reinstall. When I updated the app I was advised it would transfer my purchases and progression over. It hasn’t! If this gets resolved then I’ll happily review my rating. ✓ Great Game, however...Some glitches still happening, used exp characters ie:(Dreadknight) not using exp board (City) couldn’t get warhorse because warhorse’s come from city board space. Most final finish endings at Crown of Command about to declare the game winner, app auto kicks me out of the game. Lose all Game Center awards, and in-game achievements. ✓ RNG needs to be reworkedI’ve looked into other players experiences and I can confirm something needs to change with these dice rolls. Playing a game that is up to luck of the roll isn’t fun when it’s not actually random rolls. 8 turns in a row on the crown of command and every roll was a 1. Meanwhile all other players whether it’s ai or real player gets exact roll they need. I love this game but this is something that needs to change ASAP. ✓ OK but AI cheatsPlaying this is just like the OG board game - It takes forever to play a whole game and the characters are unbalanced. I've been playing solo against the AI players and the game cheats. It favours a particular AI character and unless you're lucky it's nearly impossible to win. Gameplay is good, but be prepared to get hammered in solo play. Haven't played online, don't think I'll bother. ✓ More content than you might thinkYou just need to pay for the base game to reveal what DLC and bundles are available as in app purchases. Talisman on iOS is like on giant loot box. Pay and all will be revealed. I’m looking forward to the day that Steam deletes all the descriptions and prices for DLC because it just seems crazy having all the details right there at the point of purchase. Apple really knows what they are doing with the App Store experience. Seriously go look at Steam if you want to know what content is available for the iOS version. I can’t guarantee you it’s identical but it’s way more accurate and informative than either the product description or in app purchases listed here. ✓ Good game, bad stabilityMy additional purchases linked to my account frequently have to be restored if I don’t leave the hateful Game Center turned on all the time. (Edit: Even with the Game center on, it -still- requires me to relog into my Asmodee account because it is apparently too incompetent to remember my purchases.) The interface crashes or becomes unusable frequently. I suspect the increased number of add-ons has made the game increasingly unstable. (Whether you get those add-ons or not.) If you have a lot of cards interacting in late-game, it has a tendency to reach a point where it crashes every time you launch it. It is a great time-waster...when it works, but it needs a lot of work on stability. Definitely better than sitting down to a physical copy of the game. (Again, when it works.) The base of roll-and move is super tedious as a group board game and works better here when played solo on the app when you can fast forward through computer turns. As a board game it’s seriously outdated, but as an app, it’s a good time-waster. I just wish things were competently programmed so that it was reliable. Countless games have been terminated because of instability. Additional item that desperately needs changing: one of the characters is The Gypsy...this is actually a slur, and should really be renamed/reworked. An addition and change to rating: the game has now taken to telling me that because I am frequently re-loading my purchases on the same device (due to it failing to remember the account link) that I have loaded the game on to too many devices. ✓ Beyond FrustratedI am beyond frustrated with this company and what has been done with this game. I owed the base game and spent a lot of money on the expansions when they made a new update of the game and made me pay $5 AGAIN to keep playing the game. Following the shift to the new app I’ve never been able to restore my purchases because you cannot paste a password into the password field, meaning it doesn’t work with my password manager. ✓ Great game, but broken online playSorry, despite this being a fantastic digital conversion of a classic board game, the online play is broken. I bought it to play private online games with my daughter, but we keep losing connection to the server, and can’t complete a game. This aspect of the game is poorly designed because once you lose connection, you can’t get back in. The game continues without the lost player. Why would I want the game to continue in the case that I have setup a private online game with people I know. Clearly I would want the game to pause until the player rejoined. This seems to me to be something that should be easy to fix. And since the game frequently loses connection, despite being on a fibre optic internet connection and not having this problem with other app and services, it makes the game unplayable, and therefore a waste of my money and time. ✓ Frustrating update / changeoverFirstly it’s not clear why there’s a new app and the ‘legacy’ app wasn’t just transferred to new ownership. Secondly, the experience of migrating content to the new app is simple awful. It took 3 attempts of installing and uninstalling before my existing purchases were recognised in the new app, almost like somebody wanted me to spend £35 out of frustration to continue playing. It’s also unclear if I need to retain the legacy app or not, now I’ve installed the app and purchases are (finally) recognised. Game play is of the same quality as the legacy app at the moment, will wait and see how this progresses under new ownership going forward..Version: 14

Yet you force me to create an account. Ok. But then you don’t accept passwords which are good enough for my bank ! I then tried some very complex passwords and you don’t accept these either, so my ability to play online is shot. ✓ Stupid new versionI remember first downloading this game and loving it. But then they revised the whole app and made you download the new. When I first tried to restore all of the dlc from the old version it didn’t work. I waited for updates patiently try again now. But it continually tells me update failed. ✓ Awful corporate takeoverGame is clearly worth 5* but now this new company I have never heard of has taken over the makers of the game and now the old game has been removed from the store (here in UK, it’s US only now I guess). I was not able to fix a problem with an update as it said it no longer existed, so I uninstalled the game only to find out I’ve been scammed like this.. and if I want all the game I had before I have to pay another £35. I read the other reviews and go to the link suggested, but you need to still have the original game installed, which is unavailable in the UK! This is a disgusting practice, but I guess this is what we have to expect for the future. Well done Asmodee for creating a huge amount of ill-will with the player base, and this is clearly an attempt at a money grab now you have taken over - otherwise you would have continued with the original app and allowed us to join there. When will companies like your learn, and realise that dirty cash grabs destroy IP’s and gaming communities. ✓ Absolute garbageI didn’t notice the other reviews saying they had trouble with the developer giving them credit for having bought the expansions in the previous version of this app. I was excited to download an updated version and even paid for this one (having already bought the previous version of the app and almost every expansion available on it). I noticed that none of the expansions I had purchased were synced to the new app, even though I logged in with the same account, as instructed to sync previous purchases. I emailed the developer over a week ago and have not received any response from them. This is so sad because I love playing Talisman. Too bad this developer is garbage!.Version: 31.04

✓ AI is Heavily UnbalancedI have had nothing but unpleasant experiences with the AI in the game. I have played against them with a friend, by myself, even set it up to where I would have the advantage against the AI. This was all futile, as it seems every roll and card draw the AI does is programmed to be the best outcome for them. I really can’t think of a logical reason why the AI would be so exceedingly difficult, and it’s a huge con to this game. Please rebalance the AI. Other than that the game is a great rendition of the physical one..Version: 32.00

✓ In app transfer still not workingI held off on writing a review until the transfer process was worked out, however even after its been fixed, I’m still having issues. My expansions now work, but I used to have pretty much every character in the game, but now most of them still show as needing to be purchased.
