✓ Truly one of the best except one thingThis truly is one of the best app out there for video editing on an iOS device. Up there with iMovie almost. One issue though (and this is purely a personal preference) I like to buy things once. Not subscription based. I wouldn’t mind 2.99 per filter or function for the ones I need to enable rather than paying every month. Again it’s just a personal choice doesn’t take away from the quality of the application. This could make a lot more $$ for the developer as well 2.99x260 effects vs people finding alternative app in matter of a year or less. Anyhow. Good good video editor and if you find value in it definitely a must have.Version: 1.2.2
✓ Pay for what?You literally cannot even give the app a go to determine whether or not you want to pay for the « extra features »! I paid for MOLDIV photos because i saw the value in it- as for video, I have no idea what it’s bringing to the table! Can’t make a single edit with the amount of buy this, buy that adverts popping up!.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Many things I like about this app but one big issueYou have to convert Live Photos to videos before uploading to all. Many phone video editors have this basic functionality but unfortunately this app DOES NOT. I contacted back when I purchased in May 2023. But they said this feature was not yet included. If you take lots of Live Photos then I DO NOT RECOMMEND this APP! If you are just doing video editing then the features they have and templates are good. But not if you use a template you may have a hard time customizing, as I’ve tried many times but ended up not using the template and just creating from scratch. This is the reason for the rating. If they fix the things I mentioned I will change my rating to 5Stars!.Version: 3.1.1
✓ Similarities,ads, premium features, read belowThere are a fair few ads in this app, showing up every few times i click something. They arentr REALLY annoying BUTTTTT they can get in the way when im in a rush. Not talkin directly to the creators, they did a great job.. but this many ads and premium-only accessible features? Otherwise its a really awesome way to create clips out of photos and videos for yourself, family, and friends. But like, its literally quite similar to the moldiv photo editor (since you can make short videos on that too) except you can make longer videos. But try it for yourself and see how you like it. ✓ AwfulWho said yes to this new update? It is a colossal disaster! Truly heinous!! All bells and whistles and flashing dog faces but entirely unusable. It is horrible. Gone is the intuitive, easy function that was there yesterday! Instead it has been replaced with something clumsy, awkward and incapable of showing me my progress. It’s installation has also managed to screw with my previous edits. My trims and cuts have been revoked and countless hours of work lost. I’d give it zero stars if that were possible. It is so awkward and unintelligible it requires a tutorial. Is there one? No. I’ve cancelled my subscription..Version: 2.1
✓ Constant crashingI’ve been gradually making videos to compile photos and clips from my travels using VideoLab. Unfortunately once I get a project to the stage where the video is more than 5 minutes long, has many captions, music added and I’ve poured many hours into making it, the app will just randomly stop working one day. The video is saved but every time I try to open it, the app loads to 50% and just crashes. Luckily when this started happening the first time I did eventually get it open, saved the video to camera reel and deleted it off the app so I could start afresh using the saved video as a starting point. Now I’m making a second video and despite trying many times it’s constantly crashing again. I can’t even get the video open to save it. Absolutely infuriating 😡such a waste of money.Version: 3.0.1
✓ Will not let me make a new videoWell, I just checked to make sure they had access to my Photos and they do but it will not let me make a new video I have watermark turned off, but sometimes when I post it, tick-tock comes back and says otherwise.Version: 3.1.2

✓ Saves videos with wrong dateThe app itself is fantastic - I use it for Instagram stories and this works extremely well. Plenty of options for filters, lighting, cutting, you name it. BUT (and it’s a big but)… my videos are always saved with a date of 1 January 1970!! I’ve contacted MOLDIV support and they haven’t been much help. I’ve reinstalled the app and this hasn’t solved it either. Does this affect anyone else?.Version: 1.6
✓ CONSTANT CRASHES & NO SAVESIronically the moment I finished my video. Both times I made the last edit (a minor change in a text) and the entire app froze and crashed Twice in a row. Same time both times. Do I spend another hour doing it a THIRD TIME? — That’s just this morning. This has become common. Also—videos that I download to my library. Some of them completely freeze halfway through…JUST THE VIDEO…the audio continues So taunting. So insane making. I don’t know what has happened to the app..Version: 2.3.2
✓ Issues comes after exporting videoI uploaded 6 small videos to make a video. I condensed them by speeding it up by 2.0, added a few text, removed original noise, and added freebie music. It exports what looks to be ok but when I viewed my exported video, it lagged and other pieces of my video were missing. 😡 Attempted a few more times and still same issue 😤😡. ✓ This app is a nice touch, but…I find that the one time payment goes for a hefty amount. Although sometimes you give the alternative of being bought half price as a promotion. Well done, except that when I see it, I have not sufficient money in my account. Then it’s gone. I have bought some of your apps and I am happy with them. Here’s a suggestion: why don’t you extend the half price promotion as a permanent sign of recognition to all of us happy campers? Or at least notify us about the incoming promotion? ✓ Keeps crashing on iPhoneWhen I subscribed to the Premium version I was using an older iPhone on which this app just crashes rendering it useless but it worked fine on the iPad albeit the latter is about 3 years old too. I have just got a new iPhone 11 and it’s crashing the same way which is very inconvenience because that’s where I have all the videos and photos to edit on this app. Having to transfer files to the iPad and then back again just because it is crashing on a device on which it should work it’s not my idea why I should be paying for a premium service. ✓ Has Potential with Added FeaturesI absolutely LOVE the Moldiv app for photos. I hadn’t used it in a few years and just discovered all sorts of new features that rival ACS! The “Textures” are OMG amazing!!! I NEED these in the Moldiv Video Lab! Pretty please with sugar on top! I would totally purchase the full version of Moldiv Video Lab if it had the the same texture and film editing features! I also suggest an improvement with the music. I’m making ethereal art films and would like a better selection of music as well. I tried some of the music in the Splice app and I found it to be a little more developed and modern.
