Fast FODMAP Lookup & Learn for Positive User Reviews

Great features!I absolutely love the diary section and meal planning section of this app. It is beyond fantastic and covers everything, even your bowel movements! However, I think the list of foods is lacking. It doesn’t include everything and some items will show as medium or high today that I have read can actually be low if eaten in small servings. I’m going to continue using it for the diary section and meal planning though! Especially for free it’s amazing!.Version: 3.3.7

Jut what I neededSo easy to use, loving it!.Version: 3.2.4

Just startingJust starting to use this, but I think it's going to be very very valuable and the game is fun. I'll write more later when I've been into it a bit more..Version: 3.5.4

Fantastic appThis app is fantastic. I do journaling on other apps but so many subjects aren’t there. I started this app and now I do all my journaling here. It helps with my medical issues as well. The 5th star would be if you added options to deleting the awards when we are done with them. They don’t work all that well. Option for deleting our plan meals when we want to. One other thought is if we could personalize our space with our own pictures. The would be fantastic. Great Job!.Version: 3.5.7

Comprehensive very well done!!This is a very well rounded comprehensive app that sets a person up for success..Version: 3.3.5

Just LOOOVE!I am extremely new to FODMAPS, but I absolutely love this app. The recipes are very clear and fantastic variety. Everything within this app is just brilliant; love it!.Version: 3.4.4

Newbie ReviewJust starting out on a Low FODMAP Diet and a friend recommended this app. I’m finding it very helpful so far, especially with no prior background on this Diet, to determine what I can and cannot eat. Would love if it enabled a search (including bar code scan) on Canadian Low FODMAP products too, as I’m finding that to be the most challenging part now, but at least this app guides with respect to most ingredients..Version: 3.4.4

Incredibly Helpful !!!Really helped me sort out what I should & shouldn't eat more than any other resource has. The game is a very helpful memory tool, as well. Would love to see more foods & ingredients listed!.Version: 3.2.4

Love it!I have a duel problem with my stomach reflux and gerd and this diet is giving me back my ability to be healthy and prevent acid from recking my esophagus and throat. I have been having acid in my throat for over 4 months and it is helping stop the leak of acid immediately. And, I added a spoonful of extra virgin coconut oil to soothe my ravaged throat. Try this diet it is a lifesaver!.Version: 3.3.5

Great App!I started this app today and it is great. It asks so many questions that make me feel like I have something to look forward to. I have recently started the FODMAP diet and this is a helpful help that helps me learn what foods I can and can’t eat (has a flash card learning section). You can look up foods and it will tell you if it has Low FODMAP or High FODMAP. I am able to keep track of what foods I eat and how I feel after. You can write what you eat and/or take pictures. You can set reminders to write and/or take pictures of your food. It is overall one of the best apps I have come across, especially with IBS. I highly recommend getting this app!.Version: 3.3.5

ContradictionsNot clear, seems to say high and low for the same thing on different lines. Same words just different order. And other sites contradict what u say. Who do u believe. ?.Version: 3.4.4

Makes it easyIt is very easy to check quickly to see if a particular ingredient is a good choice for the menu. Grits and salad dressings are not listed. There is a link for a gut-based hypnotherapy app under the Learn tab. I highly recommend this app if you need to keep track of fermentable foods in order to avoid them..Version: 3.3.7

A whole-being approach to gut health! This app is fantastic imo. Pros: -Easy mindful dietary habits tracking that is focused on how you’re feeling over how many calories you ate or exactly what you ate -food look up is easy and based on a “high”, “medium”, or “low” (FODMAP) rating system that simplifies making quick decisions at the grocery store -has mindfulness reminders -can track medications and set reminders -can track bowel movements -learn how to assess how you feel and how it’s related to what you put in your mouth -ALL ABOVE COMES FREE! So far I haven’t identified any “cons” to list, I’m just really happy with the app and all it has to offer!.Version: 3.3.5

Fantastic appThis app has practically everything you need to track your food, drink, symptoms, mood....I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to get control over their intestinal disorders..Version: 3.3.7

Amazing app !!!This app is amazing just starting the FOD DIET and this app is so easy to use !.Version: 3.3.7

Way more than I expectedI had no idea how intuitive this app is going to be. I’m using it to track my meals and how I feel/react after meals. I love that you can share your progress and results with team members who may be working with you on your journey. I love that you can simply take a picture of your food, it gets captured with a timestamp , instead of having to write down everything you eat. It all shows neatly in the timeline. I’m starting to use this instead of my other micro nutrient tracking app, The other app has its purpose but this is faster and better for basic food allergy tracking. Love the centralize nature of it and how I can add comments and thoughts after each event. My only wish is that there was a way to export the data to PDF or google calendar to share with people who do not have the app..Version: 3.3.0

Super Customizable - Love this app!!I downloaded this app for the purpose of assistance with the FODMAP elimination diet, but quickly learned that it had so much more to offer. There are a variety of settings that would allow it to work for regular dieting, medication reminders, sleep tracking, water monitoring, exercise plans and motivational help. Very, very impressed for a FREE service and I am considering signing up with Nourishly too. Highly recommend!.Version: 3.5.4

Seriously... a life saver!I just want to say a HUGE thank you to the creator/s of this app. I’ve been trying to juggle so many moving parts of my dietary issues since February, but this is the first time it’s felt manageable. The app is so intuitive and I can’t tell you how incredible it is to be able to store recipes, meal plans, AND keep a good diary all in one place. It seems ridiculous that on top of all that, I get notes of encouragement throughout the day! It’s apparent to me that this was born from good people who truly have the desire to help others. I’m amazed and grateful!.Version: 3.2.4

Nearly perfectHave been loving this app and being able to track my meals in GI focused way, rather than the diet/weight loss apps I was using before. My only complaint is that if I try to log meals in retrograde for previous days, even if I assign them that way, they still save as food I ate today and you can’t change the day after you post it. Would be a great bug to fix!.Version: 3.3.7

Good basic toolGreat for looking foods up quickly to see if they are FODMAP-friendly as long as the foods are very generic— i.e. almond, banana, etc. The lists are not very comprehensive. There were a lot of foods that aren’t on the lists, and forget about specific brands. This isn’t super helpful as, for example, there are some milks that are high (Hood, etc) and some that are low (Fairlife). You definitely need another tool to be successful on the FODMAP diet..Version: 3.3.7

Good response from developersI chose this app based on looking at the worst reviews and seeing that the gripes were mainly user error and also how quickly the developer responded to the review. So far I find the app easy to use and useful although I will probably skip a lot of the questions on the diary. Wanted to say that the most annoying digestive issue I have which is “urgency” (as in needing to go with little warning) isn’t listed on the choices of reactions to food. Given that I think this is a common problem can you please add it to the check list? I think the fodmap diet is going to help fix my gut issue but tracking down which foods trigger my issue is the most useful part of a diary. Love the lists! I can’t eat anything😂! Can you add pear to the fruit list? Thank you!!.Version: 3.3.7

Very helpfulI am new to this diet. After experiencing stomach and intestinal pains on and off for months I am not paying much more attention to my diet. After doctor visits, blood test, ultrasounds, etc.... we think it’s a food related problem. Having this app I can see immediately many foods that I have eaten that may have caused me all of this pain. It will good to have this app on hand and I won’t remember everything I should stay away from. I hope this diet will work for me..Version: 3.4.1

Good quick referenceBe good to have brand names included.Version: 3.3.7

So goodSome of the lists are inconsistent with the Monash University app leading to suspicion, however the log is easier to use and the lists make quick food decisions far far easier! I just use both apps..Version: 3.3.7

FormalGreat app for information and resources.Version: 3.3.7

Instant answersJust type in food to get the answer to low, medium or high FODMAP. Also has flashcard game where you guess's which foods have low, medium or high levels which is an entertaining way to learn. Does not have 100% of every food but I found more than enough foods I like to eat that will give me a nutritious start on this lifestyle.Version: 3.2.4

Add Filter for Reintroduction Phase by GroupI have been using this app for a few weeks and overall find it generally pretty quick and helpful in everyday lifestyle things like shopping and looking up recipe ingredients for cooking at home. In a few weeks I will be starting my reintroduction phase and I can’t seem to find a way to search or sort by the FODMAP groups. It would be great to have that feature for example if I started to reintroduce the “F- fermentable” group for a week or maybe the “O- oligosaccahrides”, it would be so helpful to know all the foods that fall in that category because it may not be so intuitive as say generally knowing that onions, apples, broccoli, watermelon, certain cheeses and breads etc are high fodmaps (if I don’t know which FODMAP group they fall into). So maybe in an updated version there could be both the red, green, yellow color and then next to it also the acronym letters for FODMAP and a filter feature for people who are in elimination and re-introduction phases, or simply trying to figure out which groups cause them problems. Thank you..Version: 3.3.1

Very helpful appJust started the FODMAP diet for IBS problems. This app has really helped me adapt and using the diary encourages me to follow the diet and plan ahead..Version: 3.3.7

Loved it!!I had IBS for a while, and I have started the low FODMAP Diet. This app is exactly what I needed.Version: 3.2.4

Fodmap recognition gameGreat way to learn and remember.Version: 3.2.4

Great app! Please fix the Diary!Update: I can confirm the diary is fixed. The developer response was quick and it works! I have one more thing that would make this app perfect! I think I know which FODMAPS bother me and I want to have a way to show those foods by filtering. Is it possible for an option to show all foods in the lookup screen by default and have the filter only show the foods I need to avoid based on my filter settings? No other app does this and it would make things so much easier! Thanks! ----------- Everything that's already been said about this app is on point. My only problem is that when I change the settings for what I want to log in the diary, they don't save. If I close the app or it background times out, the settings reset! This is very annoying. If that got fixed, this app would be perfect and I'll change this to a 5 star review..Version: 3.2.4

So far pretty amazingJust got the app, it has great lists & a search field plus information & a diary, as we are new to Fodmap this will mke cooking so much easier!.Version: 3.3.7

So helpful! This app has been so useful in keeping track of my diet, my mood and other symptoms. I am also learning so much about FODMAP. This app is making a difference for me..Version: 3.5.2

I really like this appI don’t normally review apps, generally because my turnover rate is pretty high. However, this app is going to stay. I like the simple design, easy to use search engine, and overall stability. I really enjoy the diary feature, giving me the ability to not only track what I’ve eaten, but how I feel, where I ate and who I ate with. These things, combined with the fact that I’ve found it to be accurate with regards to my body, prove to me that this app is worth having, as well as the fact that it is free. Thank you for designing something that allows me to have more control over my health. ~A.Version: 3.3.5

Useful app, great resource , but needs fixingI’ve been using the app for over a year and it’s great for keeping a food diary. The app works has some issues in dark mode , some of the navigation and options are displayed in white over a light background so it’s really hard to see..Version: 3.4.3

Review 4/5This app is really handy for me, I’m new to this diet because I have just gotten diagnosed but I really helps and it is easy to access when I am just at the shop.Version: 3.3.7

AwesomeI just downloaded this app two hours ago and I already used a recipe on it. It is a wonderful app and has so much information on it. The only thing I would say is on the recipes, at least as far as I could see, they did not list how many servings a recipe was at least on the one that I made. Otherwise this is a great app I will continue to use it!.Version: 3.3.5

Amazing!I love everything about this app. I have downloaded multiple different meal tracking apps in the past but I never remember to use them. This one is so complete and yet simple to use - it has the perfect amount of stimulation for me. I also love how it makes the connection between mental health and nutrition. The meal plans are incredible - I couldn’t even believe when they emailed me my meal plans with the recipes. love it love it!!.Version: 3.5.4

Everything, Everywhere at Your FingertipsVery helpful “all in one place” resources and aids. Tracking helps keep me thinking about my goals..Version: 3.5.7

Comprehensive approach to food and life!Has everything you need for food sensitivities including easy to use search engine with a huge variety of foods. Also focuses on the important aspects like one’s relationship with food, honing in on the mind-body-food connection. I highly recommend!.Version: 3.4.4

Great help in looking after myselfIn order to make healthy choices, day by day, meal by meal, I’ve always benefited from having some accountability. To start and keep good habits, I’ve always benefited from accountability. This app is just that. I’ve set reminders (easily done within app) so that I stay accountable to record my food choices and also the effects of those choices, ie, gut symptoms, moods etc. Tracking everything is helping me make sense of which foods are nourishing and which ones I need to stay off or eat in moderation. I also really like the little rewards/incentives, eg. After logging a meal, a positive message pops up, which I find really encouraging. Whoever designed this app knows what it’s like to struggle with digestive problems/IBS or food intolerances etc. My review is mainly about the diary part of the app, but there’s heaps more to it regarding facts and lists about FODMAPS etc. Try it. Got nothing to lose :).Version: 3.3.5

Best option availableThis is a great tool to help you quickly navigate food choices. I can’t even imagine going through this process without it. It is BETTER than the expensive alternative and is significantly more streamlined. With that said, many of the items I attempt to look up are not listed (on any of the app options). Hopefully, as time goes on the list will be expanded..Version: 3.0.3

Already my bloated stomach is going down after one day of using this APP! Amazing! This App is better than other FOD MOP APPS bee cause it shows pictures of the products you can buy to start on your tummy healing journey! It’s really so amazing! After one day of suggested food items my gassy bloated stomach seems so much better!.Version: 3.5.7

Space repetition for the win!The one two punch. I want to be able to do a quick lookup, and this app is fast as hell for that. It even lets me put in typos and the results come in. I also want to really know some of these myself and that's where the learning mode comes in. With minimal time, you get to really learn. Avocado is high? Come on..... ;).Version: 2.2.0

Has all the information you needIt’s very informative and it’s FREE!!.Version: 3.0.2

Fully loadedThere's so much that you can track or not if you don't want to. Very user friendly..Version: 3.5.7

Great app to keep track of low FODMAP foodThis app is exactly what I was looking for. It provides a search and a list which I use every time I buy or eat food. The dairy is great, so many options and support tools for motivation and emotional wellness. It even provide a stool tracker and you can download your data so you can share it with your dietitian. For me is life changing..Version: 3.5.7

So helpful and very convenient.Ive been struggling with certain digestive issues for a few years now, but only recently have they been getting worse. This app has been wonderful in helping track down the root of the problem. You can set food plans (with or without custom and suggested meals and snacks), keep a food log, and play an interactive game that familiarizes you with foods that are safe and foods that aren’t so. And! In case you forget and want to double check if a food item is safe, there’s a massive log of foods that are rated low-high. It’s a very thought out and organized app..Version: 3.3.5

So far so GREATI’m on day three of using the app and I love how quickly I’m able to look up foods. The diary detail including the ability to add notes and thoughts is amazing and super helpful. I also really like that I can add my medications including dosage details and set reminders for both logging my food AND taking my medicines. Very glad I found this app!.Version: 3.5.2

Amazing App for Healthy GutNot only is it extremely easy to check foods for FODMAP content, it also has a diary where you can log your meals and snacks and recordyour response to the meals. It’s also gives you achievements and rewards along with motivational quotes. Love and use this app everyday for eating at home, eating out, and grocery shopping..Version: 3.4.4

Great App!I have used this app for a couple weeks now to log my low fodmap journey. There is so much to this app, so many features and fun it really feels like the developers care about your well-being. I can’t believe it’s free to use. Thank you! The diary aspect is fantastic. It has so many little things that are so helpful (like remembering common food logs so you don’t have to type it out each time or being able to create personal missions like staying hydrated) I will say that the food lookup part could be better, I just use another app for that part. But if you are looking for a great food log and learning app this is the one!.Version: 3.5.4

Clear & user friendly-Better than Monas Univ appI’ve never been able to stick to the low FODMAP diet long enough to discover anything. The diary feature is fantastic and the resources for researching food are so much clearer than the Monash Univ app. Highly recommend..Version: 3.5.2

ReviewLove this App. Easy to pick we and not overwhelming.Version: 3.3.7

GreatGreat app for anyone who is new to it!.Version: 3.5.9

Great app!I just found this app and am so relieved to have found something that I am hopeful will actually help me manage my symptoms! I don’t know much about Fodmaps and this app lays everything out so nicely in such a way that I’m not overwhelmed by my attempt to make the switch to a low fodmap diet. It also has a diary tool which allows you to keep track of what/when you eat, your mood, your exercise, etc. I’m so happy I found it!.Version: 3.3.7

Fast and EfficientI tried at least five apps and this is the only one I would suggest for two reasons: easiest interface and fastest results. It’s a clean app and I am grateful the developers understand that less is more..Version: 3.5.7

Excellent resource! For me, it’s been a stressful transition to the FODMAP diet. Most online resources list only a handful of foods. This app is the most comprehensive list I’ve seen. It’s especially helpful when dining out or shopping. I enjoy the game, it really challenges my memory and I’ve noticed I’m much better at identifying food FODMAP levels. I definitely feel more optimistic about my ability to comply with the diet. Many thanks to the creator(s)!!!.Version: 3.3.5

Excellent way to understand foodEasy to use and understand the food group.Version: 3.4.4

Overall a decent appHelpful for identifying low fodmap foods on the fly. We use this when shopping which helps isolate what ingredients or foods we can buy during the elimination phase. A few bugs are present, like on the Learn > Educate page (with scrolling), but nothing terrible. One reviewer complains that the app recommends “garlic infused oils” (gasp the horrors!). If that person did any actual research into the oil versus water solubility of garlic they’d know that low-fodmap garlic infused oils ARE a legitimate thing. Heck, we have one here that’s Monash certified and could easily make our own if needed (truth be told I’m just not that motivated to make my own though). So unlike that Karen, do your own due diligence and research first if doubtful - and prior to making a comment that makes you sound like an ignorant troll..Version: 3.5.7

Easy lookup easy entryFollwIng a FODMAP diet can be daunting. But this app makes it super easy to make the right choices. I also appreciate the food and stool logs. This helps me be more aware of my choices and provides vital information for how I’m feeling and what may have triggered a reaction. I’m sure it will be very helpful in my next doctors appointment. I wonder if there is a “download logs feature” to make it easy to share with healthcare professionals.Version: 3.0.0

Working for meI am finding this useful The quiz is fun!.Version: 3.3.5

I LOVE THIS!!I’m inlove with this app, so many great features and above it all it’s free too! Has the food diary in it and it tracks your mood, food that your taken, exercises, stool tracker and medication tracker as well! I love how it has meditation, skills and the best one of all is that it introduces you to other apps that helps you with your IBS! I’ve suffered for quite awhile and decided to adventure new things to help me and then I stumbled upon this app. So helpful and I’m grateful for the creators and team that made this. Thank you guys and bless your hearts for helping us in need 🙏♥️.Version: 3.4.0

Easy and helpfulStarting a fodmap diet is a challenge and this app helps so much! I love the feature of planning meals in advance and getting recipes and then it’s easy to replace an item if I change my mind. Tracking symptoms and moods is helpful and I like that it’s optional so not a burden. Only criticism is the gifs — I don’t like/need and can’t seem to turn them off..Version: 3.3.5

Excellent !!Fantastic app. so easy to use, makes shopping a breeze. Plus the delicious daily menu planner with recipes..Version: 3.4.3

Life saverIt’s been a long journey for me. First it was it’s your gallbladder, it wasn’t. Then you have sludge, I didn’t. Then you have gastroparesis - wrong again. Many, many different diets. It was exhausting mentally & physically and I finally go to the Mayo Clinic and started my new diet - FODMAP. The app helps me grocery shopping and quick reference guide at home. It has been a huge help in my recovery from constant pain. I would highly recommend it to anyone suffering from SIBS &/or IBS..Version: 3.3.7

Great features, instrumental FODMAP aideThis app has been instrumental in following my diet. It has many excellent features like medication reminders, food planning, low FODMAP food list which has many, many items unlike some other apps. Great free app overall, well done!!.Version: 3.3.7

WonderfulWhoever made this app and everyone involved, are a blessing to humanity. Has everything you need. You can tell they know how it feels to suffer from IBS. This is my first time writing a review, I appreciate this app a ton. They put a lot of hard work into this app. It has a diary and you can lookup foods, list of foods that show high, medium, low fodmap. They even show the serving size amount recommended!.Version: 3.5.9

Great aid in navigating low fodmap dietI love all the features to help to track your health and diet, navigating the low fodmap diet and a bunch of bonus features. Really impressed. My only complaint is I have forgotten to log a meal or such until the next day and I have accidentally marked it to the current day as it defaults to that and you can’t go back and change it (you can change the time, but not the day). Other than that, this is such a nice app..Version: 3.3.7

A lovely FREE surpriseI’m new to the App. A couple of days in. I’d be happy to pay for a feature where I could also scan food barcodes please and you advise of the FODMAP rating. I love the motivational quotes as I’ve been feeling quite flat this week. It’s also fantastic I can share this with my health team, and keep track of my meals. Also the email interaction has been nice. Really feels like you’re communicating with someone rather than a computer. Very easy to operate on my iPhone. Thank you..Version: 3.3.7

Great appThe search is super easy. I just wish it gave the servings for low, medium and high. The Diary is great too except the picture in the background of the main screen makes the selections hard to see. It may be best to do a solid color in this area. Love that I can connect with my nutritionist as well. I’m enjoying the app overall..Version: 3.5.2

HopeI never thought I’d need to be on a low FODMAP, gluten-free, dairy free, nut and soy free diet. I never thought I’d have such consistent pain that would shut me down from many daily activities. I always hated the idea of tracking my daily eating habits. I just wanted to eat a meal and go on with living or savior it with friends. I haven’t been free from pain or able to enjoy food with Sibo and IBS. I’m so thankful for the knowledge from this app. It has guided me through the “do’s and don’ts”of food choices and it has also encouraged me to log all my meals while providing recipes and hope. I can honestly say that while I still have days that are a struggle. I have a plan for optimal wellness!!! Thank you for this app. Autumn.Version: 3.4.3

Nearly perfect - a diary app not perfect for fodmapThis app was a pleasant surprise. The set up was easy and everything about the app is kid\nd The fodmap data is a bit out so don't rely on it for that, I would like to be able to track water and other beverages but maybe you can and I haven't worked that out. I came here for fodmap and ended up with a perfect diary app. I downloaded the Monash app for accuracy, but love this app. Thank you..Version: 3.3.7

Finally - a food diary for IBS sufferersThis app is great - would recommend for anyone that needs a diary to evaluate all your symptoms.Version: 3.3.7

Totally differentI’ve been trying out different fodmap apps today. This one is far different and much more useful to me than the others that I have tried. The learning game, the personalized tracking information, and the quick data lookup are all very helpful to me at this stage of learning how to eat low fodmap..Version: 3.2.1

Great DiaryThe diary part of this app is brilliant. Documenting a meal plan and then being held accountable for following it has alerted me to how bad that is. It’s a game changer for me in learning to care for myself better..Version: 3.2.8

GoodHelpful app, but they should do a spell check. Several misspelled words..Version: 3.3.7

Great AppIt’s nice to have something to reference, to ensure I can prevent any discomfort..Version: 3.2.4

Makes low fodmap journey EASYThis was soooo helpful. I just clicked the app and typed in a food. In a split second it would tell me what was ok or not. That's what made it possible for me. Being able to just whip out the app and know rather than finding a website and scrolling through or finding a screenshot or carrying around a book like I did before I found the app. Thank you so much for making this.Version: 3.3.7

Makes it easy!As someone new to FODMAP and a bit clueless and overwhelmed, this made it manageable. I honestly love this app. I wish there were more food found when I searched them up but that could also be user error. The list is my best friend and the game makes learning low food quick. I also wish it had a place to track weight. As symptoms are improving, my weight is dropping. I would love that all in one place. I love the diary feature and reminders. Huge fan!.Version: 3.5.4

Lowfod dietAmazing app! Has everything I need and more. Having the app makes grocery shopping so much easier!.Version: 3.5.7

Amazing!!!First time user and i can’t tell you how much this app is going to change my routine. Great work guys!! It’s because of you that i’m able to go back in the world and have somewhat a social life. No more depression because i can now plan out my meals..Version: 3.3.7
