Timeshifter for Negative User Reviews

Can’t Accommodate complicated flights and I couldn’t reach supportI try to enter a flight from Dar es Salaam through Zürich through Toronto ending in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada. The app asked me to check the details as it complained that the flight was too long. The details were indeed correct and spanned about 26 hours in total. This is in line with many international flights. I could not get past the vague error message and there was no way to contact support via the app (probably because the app is stuck on trying to create this trip) nor could I contact support via their website. There are more complicated itineraries than this. How could this app fail on this particular routing? Given the inability of the app to provide guidance on how to get past its error message and the inability to reach Support, I think this app is overpriced and not ready to handle International two stopover journeys that are available to customers in the world..Version: 1.2.2

Not really helpfulThis app is a big disappointment: none of the advice given are new and most of them are not easy to respect. How am I supposed to get sunlight at 5pm in Europe during winter time??? Going to sleep at certain hours and avoiding caffeine is easy, as well as avoiding sunlight, but exposing oneself to sunlight when there is nine outside, hello??? The app tells you why these actions are important but not how to achieve them..Version: 2.0.8

BasicNot sure why people would pay for this. Trialed for a trip and the advice is incredibly basic and unrealistic. Of course, we ‘should’ all avoid caffeine in the afternoon and evenings and go to bed at our usual time and wake at our usual time. But what happens is that at about five pm you feel like someone has slipped sleeping pills into your food. By eight pm you’re dead asleep. That feeling is not diminished by exposure to the sun during the day. As soon as the sun sets your body is telling you to sleep. Eight pm instead of your usual 11 pm. We need to look at managing jet lag in a more realistic way and against a manageable plan. A nap won’t disrupt your sleeping patterns and it’s better to, where possible, shift your usual sleep times in and out by three or two hours and bring that sleep time tighter in slowly till you’re back to your routine..Version: 2.0.7

Near to useless for meI used this for the first time for a long haul, long weekend. I needed to be ready and back to work on landing back home. The main things it tells you are when to sleep and when to have (or not have) caffeine. I don’t have drink caffeine so a third of it was of no consequence. As for sleep and getting light, it told me on more than one occasion to “get bright light for the next few hours”, when the sun was going down because it was dusk. I am happily back at work today and have no jet lag but that’s from ignoring the app and doing my own thing!.Version: 1.2.2

Not worth itSadly I cannot recommend this app. I tried it London to Melbourne and then Wellington to London (12 hours change) and it is simply too simplistic. It doesn't take into account whether you will be flying through nighttime or daytime and of course whether the airline (in this case Emirates business) chooses to light the cabin or shut the blinds and send everyone to sleep. You cannot gain maximum light exposure from the reading light at your seat!! It's all very well meant I'm sure but too basic so definitely don't pay for it. It was more stressful trying to follow it against the whim of the airline than just doing the best you can, having a short nap on arrival and then staying awake as long as you can..Version: 1.2.2

Not very insightfulOne of the most useless apps I’ve ever downloaded. It’s helpful in the sense that if you need an app to tell you to keep hydrated, the two apps would basically help the same amount. The app has no real insight that’s not just common sense. Just slightly adjusting your sleep schedule (even for a 16hour time difference) and then boom! Sleep for 9 hours straight on a plane and you’re good to go. I don’t think it understands just how pervasive jet lag can be the first few days and that simply saying to sleep at a given time and wake up at a given time is not how it works. Your bodies circadian rhythm doesn’t update itself to the whims of a cheap of eye pleasing application. Save your money and just try to adjust your sleep to your destination time as best you can before your flight.Version: 2.1.3

又一个“臭不要脸”的国外变相抢钱应用如果收费是用来来解锁一些高级功能还好说,从第二个倒时差计划开始每个收费12加元是真的恶心🤢 还有评论区下面的那窝刷分水军就挺可笑的.Version: 2.1.7

Need to account for real flying experiencesThe app is quite useful for adjusting before and after flying. However, it needs to take into account how flying actually works. For example, telling me to stay up later and then be sleeping right on landing and while arriving at an airport is ludicrous. Please use the travel constraints as well as the body clock to have an achievable plan..Version: 2.0.5

ImpracticalI really appreciate the intelligence of this app but have to say it’s quite impractical unless you are completely flexible with your schedule before, during, and after your travel. For trans-ocean business travel the suggestions to avoid light or expose yourself to light at certain times after you arrive is impractical when you have to get up at a certain time, do business, then go to bed at a certain time. I also found that the app suggested I don’t consume caffeine for a 28 hour stretch; usually this is enough to trigger my dependency headache. At any rate, I am a very experienced international traveller and have found that it’s much simpler if you just follow four rules: 1. When you board the plane, put your mind in the destination time zone and sleep in that schedule as much as is possible. You won’t get a nice 8 hours but even 4 is good. If you can’t sleep in planes it will be a bit harder but power through and follow rules 2-4. 2. When you arrive, resist the temptation to nap. If you do nap, set an alarm for no longer than an hour and BE SURE NOT TO OVERSLEEP! 3. Take melotonin at night, 30 mins before bed, if you can. 4. Consume the heck out of caffeine every morning. I only downloaded this app because it was free with my United status. I would be disappointed had I paid..Version: 2.0.8

SleepI was looking for an app to help with a jetlag schedule because I find it difficult to sleep on a plane as I think most people do. I put in my flight details, which was easy. I’d have preferred to put in my cities, departure and arrival times as it felt a creepy that an app would need to know what airline I’m on. I was happy the first trip is free though. However the schedule provided was disappointing. It instructs to avoid light and sleep during the entirety of both my flights. The schedule’s primary tasks include things like have caffeine between 8 am and 11am, wake up early on the day of my flight, and rest as much as possible. The primary advice from other reviewers is to then follow this “as best you can” if the suggested activity is difficult. Jetlag is literally doing the best you can when it’s difficult. The emperor’s new jetlag-proof sleep schedule has arrived. I’m not buying it..Version: 2.0.8

Its okIt was ok, I put in all the details, but the timings of when I was supposed to be minimising light and going to bed were a bit annoying because I couldn’t walk around at work wearing sunglasses and minimising my light exposure. And when I’m on holiday I’m not going to go to bed at 8pm. This app probably works well if you’re happy to follow it to a T. But if you have a life and stuff to do then its very difficult to follow precisely..Version: 2.1.7
