✓ Works but usability is not great: somewhat hokeyA far better tool for highlighting is the LINER app, which works how you'd hope a highlighter would, except that it records everything you do and costs a lot of money every month. This Highlighter app works, but there's huge room for improvements. For one thing, the eraser should be accessed from a key. Holding down SHIFT and OPTION, for example, while dragging across text should remove any highlights. Personally, I'd rather select the text, first, and then chose to add or remove highlights, by some inline option: see how LINER does it. Also, changing the highlight color or adding a note should be a simple option, inline with the selected text..Version: 1.8.0

✓ Works, but there are issues.It's better then the rest of the highlighting apps out there for Safari, but this has some issues. Lately, the highlighting will at times oddly split a line and the post-it feature is cool but the note will disappear if you scoll a page at times (I have been reloading the page to have it reappear). Again, better then most but can use some updating to make it so much better. More quick keys (i.e., hightlight color cycling, post-it note and even post-it note color cycling, etc.), the ability to boldface/italic copy on the post-its, and finally the ability to print a page with all highlights and notes in the places you put them (...even if the entire page is rasterized to an image in order to do it). ✓ It works okay, but...The highlighter function works pretty well (although, like others, I still don't quite get how to remove highlighting easily). The major problem I have with this (and its major) is that while it works on websites, it does not work on .pdf's opened in Safari. That means, e.g., when I open a linked academic journal article, I can't highlight it. It’s still on. the yellow dot next to my cursor stays on all the time! Hit option key. it still on! Go to icon. click on text itself “to turn off”. It goes off. ✓ Time consuming to use****** Updated to 1 star. If this application is installed, it will NOT allow you to open ANY google document. It somehow interacts and stops the loading of the document. ****** There is no way to easily remove your highlighting quickly. If you want to unhighlight an area of text, you have to go back to the toolbar, click the highlight button, drop down to the ereaser, highlight the section of text you want to erase, and then back to the toolbar, highlighter button, click on the color of highlighter, and then continue. There should be a quick key to hold down, say "options" button and select the text to have it unhighlight..Version: 1.8.0

✓ Has Potential, However ...This app could be great. I love the highlighting and the ability to export & import! Also, I want to love the Pinned Notes, however I cannot. Apparently you can only have a single note per webpage ... really?! ... and it disappears when you scroll the page, that's horrible. AND the note should stay in place, the spot you move it to. Sadly, it does not. Attaching the note to a selected bit of text would be a great way to get it to stay as you create new notes and scroll the page. ✓ Good but some flowsI like this plugin to antotate some articles and pages without the need to export them as a pdf file first. But few things I don't like: 1. You can not change the default color, once you turn off the highlighter it flip back to the original default color which I don't like and found super dense color for a highlighter. 2. The shortcuts needs more refinements, the only shortcut working is to activate the highlighter pen, but to disable that you have to open the plugin popup panel in Safari. ✓ Worst Extension Ever, Installs MalwareThis thing continues to make my life difficult. First off, how do I turn it off? Like totally off? No easy way to do so. Also, something about the extension prevents you from copying and pasting from a browser page! Outrageous! Waste of $5, but its not worth going thru the process of requesting a a refund. ✓ Key feature for highlighter software missing...What irritates me about this software is that it is almost perfect, but the fact that I cannot write notes on the highlighted paragraph is ridiculous to me.
