✓ A couple annoying thingsWorks mostly great, but after trying it a bit there are a couple things that annoy me. First, when you are in record mode, every time you stop recording, or go back to edit the script you’re using, it resets the recording settings. Since I’m using an external microphone for professional quality audio, I must go into the settings and select the external mic every time this happens, or suffer the crappy audio quality of my phone’s built in mic. Second, when you record, there is an opaque gray bar at the top of the screen. But what’s covered by this bar is still recorded! So it totally messes up the framing of your shot unless you realize this and compensate for it. Simply making this bar transparent would fix this issue. Now I have to go back and re-record everything I just recorded because of these 2 issues..Version: 3.5.7

✓ Not greatA very weak so, firstly the prompts are on the left or the right and it’s looks like you’re not looking at the camera - it’s doesn’t allow you to add the teleprompter in the middle of the screen. Secondly, I paid for the 4k version and it was honestly the worst video quality I’ve ever recorded..Version: 5.1
✓ Just terrible...I'm befuddled that other people like this app, as the problems are many... 1) You cannot bulk export videos. When I record a video, it can be 10 parts - I have to go into each one and manually export it - super tedious. 2) No dropbox google integration - lame 3) if you set it to use an external camera, it constantly resets this setting everytime you leave record mode. Terribly tedious. 4) It does not keep formatting from google, one note or other apps - so when you paste in the app, the text is all jacked up and looks terrible. 5) the "clean audio" "feature" distorts all the sound. Moronic. 6) There is no "retake" mode -- therefore, everytime you need to reshoot a segement of your script, the app resets its place in the script and you need to scroll down and find it - painful if your laptop isn't close to you. 7) When opening it, it doesn't not keep the previous sizing of the window that you used last time - it seems litte, but its key for me to read my script effectively..Version: 5.8

✓ Great app, stupid paywallI just downloaded it today, it works great and was perfect for what I needed it for. I like the remote Bluetooth feature as well, super handy. HOWEVER, when I first started recording I realized my script was backwards in the reflective glass. I went to click on the “switch text horizontally” option and it told me I had to upgrade to premium! You mean, to use an essential function, I have to pay for that?!?! That’s stupid. I used the free trial option so I could get my work done today, but I may see if there is another option that will allow me to use it with a teleprompter..Version: 3.5.10

✓ Developers please fix this scrolling issueSometimes the text will scroll when I hit record. Sometimes it won’t at all. I try exiting and going back etc and it won’t work sometimes it will…it’s like a hit or miss type of situation. Idk if it’s due to space on your phone or not but it shouldn’t be the problem until it comes to saving the video. I would give 5 stars if that issue was fixed… buuut this issue is a very important feature because I need to read the script lol..Version: 5.7.0

✓ FaultyNice and clean design but the timing option doesn’t seem to work. Have been trying to record a video set timer to 1min 5 seconds and it only recorded for 50 seconds. Upped the timer to 1min 20 seconds and recorded for 2 minutes. Very frustrating.Version: 3.1.2

✓ It’s fine for new YouTubers, but not very good.The app was fine to get me started on my channel, but as soon as I can find something better I’m ditching this app. It is annoying that I have to pay $5 a month to use an app that’s not very good. Controlling the scrolling speed is way too frustrating. The scrolling speed is either too fast or too slow. The dumb slider is too coarse and should be designed better. There is no reason that it could not be a numeric speed to one decimal place. Also linking one device to control another device locks up regularly while you are trying to record. You import a .rtf file but the app is very specific about where it can locate it. The app has a built in editor but it is very basic. Don’t even try editing on a phone in landscape mode. Overall I will be ditching this app as soon as I can find something better..Version: 3.0.1
✓ Don’t even try it.If you download it just to try it will ask you agree to a 3 day trial. No problem right? Wrong! It is very confusing trying to cancel. I tried it for 3 days and cancelled on the third day. Still got charged for one month. No one to talk to or ask questions. Except the usual email us and eventually we’ll get back to you. Not sure if I would recommend the app itself, but if you wanna pay 10 dollars just to try it go ahead, hope it works for you. By the way I think that the only way to cancel the subscription is to delete the app then it will ask if you wanna cancel your subscription. FYI..Version: 4.0.2

✓ Not happyI’ve upgraded to pro but when I select “ remotely control this device “ it says I have to upgrade. When I attempt to upgrade it tells me I have already upgraded - and I have. The software knows I’ve upgraded but won’t let me use features until I’ve upgraded. Endless loop. AND it says my perfectly good txt file is corrupt and won’t let me import it. I upgraded to The pro version so I could import scripts and even that doesn’t work..Version: 1.3.5

The remote function is super important because it allows us to quickly reset a position or pull things back when they are moving too slow. ✓ I wanted to love this app -- but it's buggyI needed a solution to move from my iPad to my MacBook Pro laptop so that I could use multi-monitor teleprompting. This app allowed easy editing, including split screens for reverse-text play and editing window... however, it appears the editing window has some bugs, introducing text artifacts that replace characters, duplicate words and move parts of sentences to other locations -- which is (not) awesome to discover while recording. Add to this the lack of in-app support and I'm losing faith quickly if I'll keep this app past the initial 7 days..Version: 4.1.3
✓ Lacks consistent performanceWas working fine yesterday as I was able to record several scripts, the voila today unable to create new files when attempting to record simply receive a message stating unable to preform action. Removed app and reinstalled but still no luck; one thing to note is that the problem didn’t start until after I signed up for paid subscription, if you’re like me and need this for work maybe just keep using free version. Gave a two but if the app worked consistently possibly deserves a higher ranking.Version: 3.5.1

✓ Terrible and BuggyI’ve been trying every single teleprompter app out there and I don’t understand why not one exists that isn’t full of bugs or crashes every few mins. At first I was impressed with the AI features of this app but when I actually created a script for a video and trying to remote control my phone with my Mac, the script doesn’t appear. Either that or when I press open script and choose my script it just crashes the app on the phone. Completely unusable unless you’re not interested in the remote function. Please fix the bugs because the only thing it’s good for is just reading off the screen without wireless remote control..Version: 5.3.1

✓ Videos Didn’t Record With AudioI just recorded a bunch of content using the teleprompter app. I was very excited about its potential. As far as being able to easily add scripts, control the teleprompter speed and size that was all fine. However, after a 7 hour shoot day I went to my recordings and firstly wasn’t able to play any of the videos in app with audio which was the first moment of panic, and meant I had to download them all vs favourite takes because I couldn’t review in app. Then when I downloaded them nearly a quarter of my videos downloaded without audio entirely. I have tried to reach out to their support email multiple times and haven’t gotten any response. Now I need to reshoot a bunch of videos which is a huge inconvenience. Very disappointed, especially given the cost. I’d love a refund but given I can’t get in touch with anyone willing to bet that isn’t going to happen..Version: 5.2.3
✓ IPad auto follow voiceI keep having to install and reinstall the app because one minute it follows my voice and another it does not. It needs certain setting to be active on iPad. Setting settings should include shoulda setting to disab disable and reenable iPad settings. At the oh moment I think for some reason it is not following my voice at all. ✓ Don’t forget to cancel if not using. Expensive oversight.I had the 7 day trial worked out with 5 minutes it didn’t have the automatic voice detection and speed tracking I needed and haven’t used since. Unfortunately I forgot to cancel before 7 days and was struck with a $97.99 yearly fee for a product that doesn’t do what I need to. Expensive error when I could buy the app that voice tracks for $34.99 one off. Also App Store doesn’t appear to allow to see any critical reviews of app. Be wary..Version: 3.5.10
✓ Spend more on a better app.I was on a shoot yesterday using this app. I paired my phone as a remote and it worked well. Since I was using a proper teleprompter mount, I tried to mirror the text, and it asked me to upgrade. Fine, that’s expected. I started the trial, and then the remote wouldn’t work—an error popped up saying I had to go pro to use it. But that’s what the free trial enables. It also worked fine on the free version earlier, so this was really confusing. So I upgraded to pro, and it still didn’t work. Every time I tried to pair an iOS device to use as a remote, I got the error. I could control my iPhone from the iPad, but it would give me the error the other way around. I turned the iPad on and off, closed the app and restarted, deleted and reinstalled, but I had the same issue each time. So I deleted it and downloaded another app that actually worked. I’m out the $4.99, and I got to look like an idiot in front of a client. But I learned a lesson: test all of the functionality of an app before the day of the shoot. Because normal, vital features might inexplicably get nerfed once you pay the developer..Version: 1.3.5
✓ Decent App but terrible customer serviceSo I was trying to contact the makers of this app through their contact page to try and resolve an issue I had with my account. I reached out to them several times. I have had a Pro account with them for 2 weeks and have already received 4 promotional offers in my email to upgrade my account. I have responded to all these promo offers (which are made to appear as personal messages from someone at the company named “Mate”) and have also not gotten a response there. There a dozen or more teleprompter apps out there I’d rather use now, but it was a year subscription I mistakenly paid for, so I guess I’ll use them for a year. Nothing wrong with the app really, just frustrating that you can’t reach them..Version: 5.2.4
✓ Bluetooth not easy.Normal Bluetooth buttons don’t work. I had to set up my Logitech keyboard, which works quite well, and has lots of controls. Uploading files from Drive odd not working either. The teleprompter is a fabulous tool for doing online training videos..Version: 2.1.1
