Wild Journey - Nature Sounds for Negative User Reviews

Please Add option to turn off musicIt’s been too long, this used to be my favourite app. Just praying for a option to turn this off in an update.Version: 5.3

Music should be optionalI used to love this app until music got added to everything. While this is nice sometimes, and some people may like it all the time, it should be optional. I was specifically using this app because I could get just nature sounds without music, which seems to be hard to come by. Too bad, I guess I’ll be looking elsewhere now..Version: 4.9

Still can't turn off terrible musicApp is still ruined by terrible music that can't be turned off..Version: 5.0

3 day trial? That’s it???Mobile apps are becoming more and more stingray with their trials. Now it’s 3 days? What a joke..Version: 5.3

Yup more subscriptionwareAnd, after s few years abandonware.....Version: 2.6

Stop the annoying noise! This could be such a great app, but is ruined by the mic-rubbing noise added to every track to make it sound like ‘outside’. Tried the 5 day sleep program and the guided voice is telling me ‘all is calm’ - no it’s not, either it’s really freaking windy or we’re near a main road. And it’s on every single track. Infuriating, and has the polar opposite effect of the intention of the app. Not for me, and it’s a real shame..Version: 1.6

Don’t like the new updateReally loved this app as helps me sleep as I have tinnitus but the new meditation music they’ve added to the soundscapes is often too distracting and no longer helps me sleep. Really think they should have made this feature optional as I can’t see any way to turn it off and just listen to the original natural sounds.Version: 4.9

Amazing art with an impactful differenceBut make the pay wall content a purchase rather than a subscription. this app is the most tempted i’ve been to subscribe to a monthly or yearly fee simply because the content helps me so much. but even so, it’s still a no brainer - i would never. i’d gladly shell out cash to purchase access to their amazing content. even at a higher price. but perpetually subscribing just seems like a bit of a stretch and, frankly, a cash grab. i am in an industry heavily saturated with a background in audio engineering and graphic production - that said, this is great some fantastic work. but at the same time, i see legitimately no reason whatsoever that this app needs to be subscription based rather than offering new releases as a purchase..Version: 3.2

Make music optionalSubscribed because it was nature sounds only. Then they added music to everything. Ruined the whole reason I subscribed. Make music optional or provide a refund. What a waste..Version: 5.1

Just been ruinedI’ve always liked this app, and would have bought it if it had a sensible price rather than a subscription. But now it’s been ruined by adding meditation sounds to nature’s sounds! One or the other, but both at the same time! Why do most apps eventually seem to spoil everything?.Version: 4.9

Nice concept, but...I think the subscription model is wrong, not just insanely overpriced. You can get Netflix for a little extra... in context. Also, there’s no way to preview any sounds that are behind the subscription so asking for that kind of money without knowing what you’re getting doesn’t sit well. I’d suggest selling packs/bundles of area types instead of a subscription. The point of meditation apps are to relieve stress, not add by way of an ongoing financial burden. I also don’t see there to be enough content updates to warrant a subscription. I think there could be better transitioning of sounds between screens. They stop harshly upsetting the mood it should dispel. Sorry to be harsh. Just hate when ‘wellness’ apps go crazy on pricing. Visuals are beautiful though..Version: 1.5

Needs a “music off” optionWhen I first got the app, suffice it to say that no other nature sound/meditation app could compare - with the wide variety of amazingly immersive soundscapes, and meditations that are actually meaningful (nature-centered rather than focused on mindfulness alone), it was the perfect nature immersion app! Then the music ruined everything. I find having any music (no matter how quiet) around me incredibly distracting and actually stressful, rather than relaxing, and it detracts from the reason I have the app, which is to immerse myself in the soundscapes. I understand not everyone finds music frustrating, so an option for people to turn the music on/off to their liking would be ideal. Wild Journey is my favorite app of all time, and without the forced music, it’ll really shine in a way no other app (of any sort!) has before! And my rating will change to 5 again, to reflect this..Version: 4.9

Ended subscription due to musicI loved this app before the music was added. A simple toggle to turn music on or off would have saved the app. I find it unbelievable the developer hasn’t addressed this easily fixed issue. There is obviously a large number of paying patrons that want this simple fix. Really a shame this happened to one of my favorite apps. It is completely unusable to the people who just want the nature sounds. The music is so completely unnecessary. It is just incredulous that there is no option to mute it. Please restore this app and I and many others would come back..Version: 5.3

Please Please remove the music! This (and the other apps by this developer) was a go-to app for background nature sounds while I read. But now, it has fallen out of my favorites. The entire reason I use this app and the others by this developer is that there was NO music. The nature sounds were music enough. Now I have no place to go for just nature sounds. Good thing I hadn’t signed up for the subscription like I was thinking I would. Take the music out, or at least give an option to not include and then maybe I’ll reconsider subscribing..Version: 4.9

NEW UPDATE: Music has Ruined This AppBefore the most recent update, this was mine and my partners go to app for nighttime relaxation and noise therapy. Despite many of the landscapes being hidden behind a paywall the ones that weren’t were incredible and I listened to them every single night. But now that the latest update has added music to each of the landscapes with no option to turn the music off - I am appalled. I thought that this was suppose to be a nature sounds simulation for anxiety and sleep? Now I just feel like I’m in a cheap meditation centre whenever I turn on the app. I was really disappointed that they didn’t add a feature to turn this music off to allow users who do like the music to keep it, and to allow those who dislike it to turn it off. It’s quite unfair to be honest to try and generalise the ways in which people relax, but making this new feature mandatory. I will use this app in the future if an update comes up SOON to add a choice about adding music or not. I’ll keep the app another month to see if this change occurs, but until the time that it does I won’t be using the app anymore and instead will be going elsewhere to find my nature sounds such as YouTube or Calm. I hope that the developers do see this review and consider the implications of limiting user customisation in this way and the effects it can have on those who do suffer with mental health illnesses, when changing the organisation and the source of their relaxation..Version: 4.9

Keep getting error messages, white screens, crashingNothing works, error messages, white screens, app crashes. Very disappointed 😔.Version: 1.4

Unnecessary changeLoved this app as a nature sound app for meditation and sleep, my favourite one. It makes no sense to me why someone thought it would be a good idea to forcefully add music to all soundscapes and then not even give the option to turn the music off. I’m incredibly disappointed by this decision and I’m sure that if it isn’t removed then I -and others who loved this for its pure nature sounds- will unfortunately have to move to a better and more appropriate app..Version: 4.9

I miss the old versionI really loved this app during quarantine when I couldn’t go out in nature as often. I loved having natural sounds to meditate and found very helpful to feel less confined to my Brooklyn apt. The new update has music and strings sections and doesn’t sound as authentic and sometimes like it’s trying too hard. Thanks for 2020..Version: 4.9

Ok but no trial period?I like what I hear so far, but without a trial I’m hesitant to pay £6.50 just to see if I like the rest of the sounds. Plus £6.50 each month is pretty expensive for what it is to be honest. Or is it?? Is wouldn’t know because there’s no trial period!!.Version: 1.6

BeautifulI really believe you’ve added an extra dimension of serenity to an ever-growing market of nature mindfulness apps with the artwork, which is absolutely beautiful and a substantial reason why I was drawn to this app. The sounds are peaceful, relaxing and genuinely aid me in clearing my mind, which at the moment is as easy as drawing blood from a stone! The guided meditation is super, with the voices volume being adjustable over the nature sounds and the voices themselves reasonably calming. As someone with mental health issues, it’s hard to think for myself sometimes regarding what to do during mediation, so a guide can be really helpful. This app really won me over. Then I saw the subscription fee. 6.49 per month | 44.99 per year Nope. Now, I’m not self-absorbed and entitled enough to think every app is for me, you clearly have a target market, I may not be it, but I would like to suggest a few things that would encourage myself and those like me who wish to have more choice and freedom with content, to purchase in your product. As someone who is isolating during Covid, healthy and affordable escapism is a real blessing and can be hard to come by. I believe this could benefit from a preview and purchase of each individual soundscape. Some people like the ocean, some people like the woods, some people like all nature sounds. People generally like to choose. A one off purchase of any scene rather than an overall subscription may allow people to feel like they’ve been accommodated to in terms of options. There’s an awful lot of mindfulness apps going down the subscription route. All these apps’ subscriptions amount up, especially for those on a self-improvement journey. As you are adding additional sounds it obviously wouldn’t be plausible to have a one off fee, but will the prices be going up once you’ve added more?! I would definitely purchase each individual loop. Furthermore, there’s the issue of not being able to use the app as a background, it’s required to have the app open. Now, I understand that the creators may have deliberately done this in order to fully experience the content you’ve created (having both the visual and audio work in tandem); if this is so, how you intend the app to be used and frustration from how people may want to use it may collide. There are times I would like to put on some fairy lights, turn off main lights and try and meditate without any screen on, especially as a tech addict (potentially anti-mindful if I can’t work on trying to be distant from devices). Then there are other times I would like to enjoy the artwork along with the sounds in the right mindset. Also, a widget that can be changed between scenes would be amazing!! Now I totally understand that as artists and creators, you base the value of your product on what YOU think it’s worth. These are just my opinions and suggestions to accommodate myself. If you wish not to adapt and adjust to potential customers in order to not jeopardise your own vision, I sadly but simply accept that this product just isn’t for me and those with similar views to mine. I will just have to sulk and listen to free recordings on youtube. Either way I really hope this app flourishes! It’s stunning!.Version: 3.7

Why is there music now??I used to love this app for the pure nature sounds. Now there is background music that you can’t adjust or turn off. I want to go to sleep with rainforest noises and there is no spa music in the rainforest.Version: 4.9

This was a fantastic app for nature noisesI’ve used it for a while to focus on reading in noisy or busy spaces, with headphones on. I once read for hours on end with one of the rain soundtracks on and it was really conducive for that. However, the sounds have now been overlaid with music - why?! Maybe it’s what some people want for help with sleep or relaxation - but it’s a bugbear for me and I rarely use the app now as a result..Version: 5.3

Subscriptions? This is a classic example of an awesome app being ruined by the subscription trend. I would happily pay €20 to unlock the current soundscapes as a one off purchase. What’s more, I would love the chance to pay to unlock additional soundscapes as they become available. However in its current iteration, this app does not offer value for money. Maybe I am underestimating the number of whale users out there who are willing to give €7 per month for this “service” but I imagine the developers would make more money from users paying a fixed fee more often. Their business, but it stinks for people who like the product (and want to pay for it without being on a sub licence)..Version: 4.2

Disappointing UpdateThis is a great app however after an update the nature sounds now have added music, the ability to switch this off and just have the nature sounds would be a welcome addition to the app..Version: 5.3

Please make music optionalThe music is lovely,,, but I payed for the subscription specifically because this was one of the only apps that JUST had nature sounds. And now that the music is there and there’s no option to turn it off I find myself using the app less and less. It can’t be that hard to just add an option to turn music on or off. I’m wanting to hang in here and see if you fix it but I’m thinking of just ending my subscription instead..Version: 5.2

The once loved but now forgotten appWhen this app was released all those years ago it was absolutely amazing. Beautiful sounds of nature, so relaxing and amazing art work to help. I had all the apps and really used to love listening to them to relax and help anxiety, I especially loved Sonus Island and listening to the sea waves and crickets. Then one day out of the blue they added music over the top which you were unable to turn off, which destroyed that nature sound for me, and months and months passed by with no updates or abilities to turn it off I cancelled my subscription and moved onto other apps, which is a shame because of how wonderful this once was. Now almost ten months without any app updates I’m afraid this is a long forgotten app by the developers and the dream of it being reverted to what it once was has been lost. A shame, don’t waste your money supporting an app which won’t support you back..Version: 5.3

Added background music to all the landscapesThe meditative background music that was added to all the experiences in the app is utterly nauseating. There seems to currently be no option to turn it off. I’m using the paid subscription and I no longer have a desire to continue using the app. This was a mistake and needs to at least be amended with the option to turn it off. It’s has ruined the experience of the sounds of nature. It makes it feel unnatural..Version: 4.9

Wrecked by intrusive musicLovely sounds and visuals but unfortunately ruined by the annoying music, which can’t be turned off. As other reviewers have noted, this is a baffling and intrusive design decision. You can’t even change the music volume!.Version: 5.3

Wonderful app but overpriced sadlyLet’s be very clear - I love the soundscapes, the artwork and the UI of this app. They have done an excellent job introducing ‘amateurs’ like me to mindfulness. However, there are only 4 or 5 soundscapes available on the free version, with a painful subscription fee to fully unlock the app. Let’s not get carried away here - expecting people to pay nearly £80 a year in recurring monthly fees is outrageous to the point of greedy. PERHAPS somebody who religiously used the app every single morning/evening could justify a subscription, however 99% of people could not. I would pay a one-off to unlock new soundscapes as and when required however. Another beautiful app has sadly been spoiled by the modern day insistence in technology that you can’t really buy and own a product - you merely rent or borrow it. What a shame!.Version: 5.3

Ruined AppWas an excellent app for nature soundscapes until the addition of the jarring and annoying music in the background. I specifically got this app for the nature sounds and it worked great until this addition. It’s now completely useless to me as I don’t find the music relaxing or calming at all. There are hundreds of apps with single note meditation music but this was unique in the quality of actual nature sounds. I hope someday this stupid decision gets reverted but seeing as it’s been months of people complaining about it, it doesn’t seem the developers care..Version: 5.1

So many complaints about the music and developers ignore... why? This app WAS lovely, the sounds are high quality and the graphics are beautiful. But PLEASE, PLEASE make the music optional. It’s just not the same with the music forced in there. It gets repetitive. It’s not the same experience. Make it optional and create the best of both worlds? Please! I’ve started using different apps because of it, I’m just waiting for this fix..Version: 5.1

No music off option and accidental purchaseThe music is frustratingly distracting and people have been asking to have the ability to turn it off for at least two years no without any response from the developers. In addition, I don’t understand why there is only a trial option of the annual subscription. I accidentally purchased the monthly subscription when I only wanted to do a trial..Version: 5.3

BeautifulReally nice app with great sounds. I have downloaded and tried many apps like this, but this one is among the best! However, I don’t really care for the ‘comic art’ pictures. But I close my eyes anyway when I use the app or listen to it when working in a noisy environment! The price for the app is too high from my point of view! Almost 50$ for life time subscription would be okay, but for a year? Well, maybe there will be special offers at some point ! Update: Reduced from 4 to 1 star,,, This app will drain your device in no time, since it has to be on screen to run! What silliness is this? And please don’t tell me that the slightly animated cartoon pics are good for you and psyche! So, that app needs to run in the background and without being constantly on! Update: the issue was fixed and to be fair, I will award another star! But the price for this app is still outrageous! There are many others that offer similar sounds and relaxation for much less!.Version: 1.9

Would Buy IfThis app desperately needs a music off feature. You can control every other soundscape within the app except the music? The sounds are incredible, however the music is a huge turn off, and while others may like it, the fact you can control and adjust all other sounds, this should have been an automatic feature. This has been a complaint in the reviews for over a year now. Why has nothing been done about it?.Version: 5.3

Needs toggle for background musicPlease add an option to turn off background music. I was considering re-subscribing until I realized music was added to the otherwise soothing nature sounds..Version: 5.1

Was the best, with limitsFirst of all, I liked all the apps made by this person and a like the Hallmark looking artworks. The nature sounds are spot on. Then they added music to each ambient environment that you cannot toggle off. I know some people might like this but many won’t. At the price of membership, you should have the choice and not forced to have music on everything. The price is an issue for these times. $45 a year is steep for an app only available on your phone 📱. If it could be added to your iMac, Apple TV, iPads, that would make the price a little more reasonable. I love the outdoors but I’m disabled now. I loved this app to help me remember good times but with the music added, I’m using this less and less. Time to let this subscription runout and delete the app..Version: 5.3

No music option pleaseI love this app and use it every night. However, with the new update and the addition of “soothing music” I find the app now not as good. I started using this app because I love the pure nature sounds, I am not someone who can mediate or focus with music of any kind, hence my love for this app originally. I think the music addition is fine only if there is an option to not have it at all for those who do not like music and use this app for the nature sounds itself. Probably won’t be using this app anymore if the music stays since it is extremely distracting and not soothing to me (maybe other people too).Version: 4.9

StunningIf I could preview the entire app contents, I’d be more inclined to purchase a subscription..Version: 3.2

SubscriptionAnother app, another yearly subscription. Seriously where does this end....Version: 5.3

Music Not Optional?!What a bait and switch, subscribed before music was added, then a week later and this app is now basically unusable. Let me turn off the music please….Version: 4.9

Please remove the ambient music !This app was amazing to help me sleep for such a long time but the addition of the ambient music has honestly ruined it and it is so frustrating that there is no option to turn it off, and I now can’t use the app and have had to look elsewhere for natural white noise sounds :(.Version: 4.9

Make the music optionalI loved this app and paid for it for ages. I use it to help me sleep but when you added the music it doesn’t work for me anymore. Please make the music optional!!!!.Version: 4.9

Mandatory music?App was good until they added the music.Version: 4.9

Music ruined this appThis app used to be worth a subscription. It has the best nature sounds of any app. Then they added music, and the app is no longer usable for me. I asked about turning the music off and was told “it’s part of the vibe.” I don’t like “the vibe,” and will no longer support this app. I keep checking periodically to see if the developers ever added the ability to turn off music, but it’s been over a year since the last update so I’m not optimistic. Really disappointing. I’d subscribe again in a heartbeat if they took out the music..Version: 5.3

Music has ruined thisThis app was great and one of the few apps that I was Willy to pay a subscription for. Unfortunately the new updated has added really cheesy music to all of the landscape sounds like a bad yoga class. There needs to be an option to turn the music off!.Version: 4.9

MusicMake the music able to be turned on and off so we can just listen to Nature if we want, and I will consider changing my rating. Sometimes to fall asleep I just need a white noise playing in the background. The wave and rain sounds are perfect. Now, with the music, It is not just white noise. To me, it ruined it..Version: 4.9

Why is the music mandatory?Hard to imagine I’m out in nature when there’s spa music pumping into my ears..Version: 4.9

Make music optionalThe thing that drew me to this app was the nature sounds. The recently added music should have an option to turn off. I find it distracts me from the nature sounds.Version: 4.9

This app is wonderful, i only wish i could access more of itWild journey provides six free landscapes to listen to, as well as a waking up meditation series and a bedtime one. i adore everything about this app and would gladly pay for an extended version should i be able to, but i cannot afford a monthly subscription. it is understandable that that is not an option, but should there ever be a one-time payment sale i would be first in line :).Version: 3.8

Used to be a stellar appI used to use this app every evening to tune out of my surroundings and just tune in to more relaxed environment. But recently started using this app again and finding annoying music playing in the background of every soundscape. What’s worse is this music can’t even be turned off. So now I’ve reverted back to the ambient sounds being played within iOS..Version: 5.0

Please fix the musicThis used to be a 5-star app…but the music ruined it! Is it really a wild journey in nature with compulsory yoga studio music? Please allow an option to disable it..Version: 5.0

Optional music please!I loved this app for its quality nature sounds (and variations) but they added in a feature that plays music through all of them. I can sometimes get in the vibe for the music, but mostly it’s distracting and not at all what I wanted from the app. Please please at least add an option to turn the music off!.Version: 4.9

MusicPlease get rid of the music or make it optional. Used to love this app now I hardly use it..Version: 4.9

Beautiful but kinda badThe app is beautiful but the sounds contain some really jarring noises like loud creaking sand squawking and sudden loud whooshing and there are ones that the music doesn’t loop so there’s an awkward few seconds of silence when it restarts. Would also like to swipe through the options rather than go back and forth..Version: 5.0

Disappointing - get rid of the music! :(I loved this app before the new update. It was amazing curling up reading a book or settling down for bed with this on in the background, in my opinion it was a collection of some of the most realistic nature sounds I’ve found on the App Store. I’m not going to lie, I hate the new version so much :( the music feature is dreadful and really takes away from how genuinely amazing the nature sounds are. Please consider removing this feature or at the very least giving people the option to turn it off. I have cancelled my subscription because of this and it’s such a shame because I really did love this app before the update!.Version: 4.9

Moved to Rain RainAfter Wild Ventures have refused to roll back the update to add compulsory "meditation" music to ALL landscapes, with no way to turn it off, I have cancelled my subscription and moved to Rain Rain. Which, honestly, is already a lot more feature rich than this. I've been able to mix sounds and there is a wide range of landscapes, with no irritating, distracting music!.Version: 4.9

No music!Honestly I don’t think I can use this app anymore now that they added music. It used to be the only app I could use to meditate too. So disappointed that I have to go find something else. Would change my review to 5 stars if the music went away!.Version: 5.0

Drains Your Battery Completely!Thought I would try this app after reading its reviews. Not impressed. The mindfulness meditation I played last night had no background music whatsoever. Just a female’s voice. Every other mindfulness app and self-hypnosis app have background music during the meditations. Also, when I woke up this morning my phone was dead. The app apparently doesn’t shut off after the 19 minute mindfulness meditation is over, so it drained my battery! Terrible! As others have also noted, the comical artwork is kind of off-putting, and the in-app purchase prices are high compared to similar apps. I’m not sure what the purpose of this app is, but it’s a half-hearted attempt at best. From what I remember, it’s a husband and wife team that put this app together. Probably trying to make a few extra bucks during the pandemic. This app just doesn’t cut it. Probably best to avoid this one as there are SO many others out there that are much, much better. NOT RECOMMENDED.Version: 4.2

Shot Themselves in the Foot with the MusicReally liked this app, really good for helping you sleep. Even the free version gives you enough if all you’re after is some background noise. But the recent update which introduced single note music to the background is awful. When I first heard it I thought I’d go with it but instead of helping me sleep it drove me mad and I had to turn the thing off. Not only that, but whereas all other individual sounds within a soundscape are customisable when it comes to volume, the music is for some reason mandatory. The first thing I did was to look for the music volume toggle, but spoiler, there isn’t one. It ruins the entire point of the app for me. If they revert to having no music, I’d happily give it five stars, everything else is stellar..Version: 4.9

Music not optional? Please let us toggle the music, why did you just add it into everything? I wanted the sound of nature not whatever droning meditative soundtrack you felt fit with the scene.Version: 5.3

No option to remove the music. Poor customer serviceUntil they added music you can’t turn off, I loved this app. I reached out to customer service to see if there was a way I was missing to turn it off, but they never responded. Since my subscription was set to renew the next week, I cancelled it. I will reconsider if a future update offers a way to turn off the music..Version: 4.9

Option to disable background musicPlease include an option to disable the background music. It’s annoying..Version: 5.0

I wish I could remove the music layerThis used to be my favorite app. So many soundscapes to choose from and really great quality. Then they updated all of the landscapes to have ambient music layered on top of them. I can’t stand it. I really miss the old version. I check every few months to see if they’ve added the option to remove this layer. I would redownload and renew my subscription in a heartbeat if this option was available. Pretty disappointing as the old version really helped with my anxiety and concentration. Going to keep hoping a change comes soon!.Version: 5.3

Very disappointed in music additionThis app was fantastic when I first started using it. Then they added the music with no choice to toggle it on or off. Very bad move since it takes away from the point of the app. I want to hear nature sounds not music. I have reached out to the developer recently with no response. Will not be renewing app subscription..Version: 4.9

Please remove the musicThe app was amazing when just listening to nature soundscapes, and I even recommend it to a few friends! But now with the compulsory ‘relaxing’ music in the background of all of the landscapes, which apparently are year to stay, it’s really ruined it for me. I wish it was optional, but I can’t find a way around the annoying music. Really a shame. Was my favourite app :/ please make the music an option and not forced in please :).Version: 4.9

No Setting For Music? The app was good until the music was added in and not optional to turn off. Make music optimal.Version: 5.0

Good app ruined by an updateThe app used to have good natural soundscapes, but in the last update they ruined it by adding music that you can’t turn off. If you’re looking for good nature soundscapes, then this isn’t the app for you..Version: 4.9

Awful changesSuddenly the app plays crappy music with every “experience.” And there is no option to turn it off. If I wanted music, I’d just play music. I want the relaxing sounds not cheap spa music, and that’s why I downloaded the app. Now it’s worthless. Two stars because it used to be good in concept, now ruined..Version: 4.9

Needs a “no music” optionThis is a great app. I’ve always loved it, and also the look of it, beautifully designed. I will say, though, the latest addition of music (however slight) over the nature sounds is very distracting to me. I hope the developers see all the requests for a “no music” option for those of us who feel this way..Version: 5.0

Destroyed their own productThis app was phenomenal. Then one day, somebody decided to add “relaxing” meditation music into the mix of what were stunning sounds of nature. The whole point of this app was to relax and meditate to the sounds of the natural world. Instead, now you are transported into the waiting room of a massage parlour. It’s honestly the most bizarre development decision anyone could have made. Avoid this app, they don’t deserve your hard earned money.Version: 5.3

Music OptionalTwo upgrades since we started asking for the music to be optional but neither have addressed it..Version: 5.1

Added musicAlways loved this app so much, however, with the recent update that adds music to the background of all meditations, this app became just like any other meditation app. Many, especially myself, prefer the sounds of nature alone. If we can have the option of adding the music or removing it for a meditation, I’d appreciate it, and I’m sure many others would too..Version: 4.9

MehWhile the app has a lovely design there are 3 massive issues. - You can’t airplay this over to a speaker/HomePod so you have to listen on your phone. - The phone screen has to be ON to listen, so you can’t just turn the screen off like listening to music or a podcast. - it’s £6.49 a month, the old app is £2.99.. once. In no way is anything in this app worth a Subscription. I would happily pay a 1 off fee to buy the app but monthly or yearly is a gag. Unfortunately I cannot recommend based on these things..Version: 3.4

Music should be optionalLove the nature sounds. Very relaxing and I often used to doze off during a session, but now I’m finding the background music annoying. Really would be better if there was an option for the inclusion/exclusion of music..Version: 5.1

Not greatI use a number of meditation and soundscape apps - and so am always willing to try new apps. The presentation is lovely - seriously, who doesn’t love the artwork? I subscribed as was keen to sample the various sounds. However, I only subscribed for 1 month. And the reason is the actual sounds themselves. Some are awesome, but many have a rubbing sound which is incredibly disconcerting whilst meditating or trying to fall asleep. And in the end I felt the app was poor value for money considering many sounds are spoilt and cannot be listened to. Disappointing - more style than substance..Version: 2.1

Was brilliant until the howling startedBegan on ‘unwind under the stars’, started to relax and then something in the background started howling, not sure whether it’s an owl or something else but it pretty much woke me back up every time it sounded. Get rid of that noise and it would be perfect!.Version: 1.1

Ruined with music addition 😩I payed the full yearly subscription to what was a brilliant app. Used it every night whilst sleeping with rainfall sounds and they decided to add music to all landscapes without an option to switch it off! I emailed them and sent a message via Instagram with no response. I’d have happily payed the yearly subscription to continue with the original version, but the app is now useless to me because the addition of music actually keeps me awake!.Version: 5.0

Noooooo! Why is there music now?I used to think this was THE best app for soundscapes. But now we’ve got music on every single one?? Ugh. I’m so disappointed. The music is distracting for me, and precisely why I found Wild Journey to be so relaxing before this update. Maybe some people benefit, but it should be an optional feature that listeners can toggle off/on. I guess I won’t be using the app much anymore..Version: 4.9

Undemocratic?I loved this app up till four days ago when developer decided to add background music of his/her choice. No way to change it, no way to turn it off. Off to search for a substitute..Version: 4.9
