ClassPass: Fitness, Spa, Salon for Negative User Reviews

Great Potential, Poor customer serviceThe whole concept behind this app is absolutely fantastic, I’ve been using it for 8 months now and i really love the flexibility of going to different studios. My concern with the app, and I hope that they actually read and take on board the customer feedback, is that it’s not very customer service friendly. It’s hard to chat with them, cancelling is next to impossible. Plus there’s a fee to resign up. They also only allow a small number of credits to roll over at the end of the month - if you are away for the month why shouldn’t all the credits roll over? You’ve paid for the credits you should have them all roll over. Also the fee when you cancel a class in under 24hrs is crazy!! Overall I love using the app but these customer service issues really need to be reassessed!.Version: 4.13.1

Threatens customers to keep themI thought about canceling ClassPass a while ago because I wasn’t using it as much as I wanted to. When I went to cancel, a dialog popped up that threatened to charge me $70+ if I changed my mind and wanted to rejoin (it was framed as some kind of “initiation fee”). Well, maybe I would want to re-up eventually? I thought, so I didn’t cancel then. I kept the service at the rate of $9/month for 8 months, occasionally checking the cancellation option to see if their policy had changed, but I always got the same message. Finally, today, after not using the service since September, I decided it was time and I didn’t care about them threatening to charge me. Instead of letting me cancel immediately on my own, ClassPass made me -chat with a customer service- rep to do it! I love the convenience of being able to attend a variety of classes in my neighborhood, but ClassPass’ customer retention tactics are highly questionable, and because of that, I let them rob me for 8 months, only to be subjected to someone asking me to justify my leaving and trying to sell me alternatives before I was finally able to cancel. What a horrible customer experience. I hope you enjoyed my money, ClassPass. You’re not getting any more of it..Version: 4.20.2

Getting more expensive and less flexibleI used to love classpass but over the years they’ve continued to increase prices and reduce flexibility. It used to be unlimited and now the number of classes you can get in a month has decreased since credits were introduced. They used to carry forward classes in the summer months as people are travelling and now they just let your credits expire even though you’ve paid for them. They don’t seem to be thinking customer anymore. It’s useful to be able to try new places but once you do it’s better to cancel and just join directly with a gym as it’s cheaper. Hopefully they revert back to their original business model which made it appealing to the customer at the beginning..Version: 3.19.1

Do NOT use this app. It charges large, unexpected payments. If I could put zero stars I would. Firstly, like someone else mentioned, you can’t even book the classes you want each time; it lets you go through the process but the booking never works. Ergo, you have wasted credits. I thought it was a good deal at the start, but then they just started charging me at random. I woke up to TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS taken from my account in the form of two $100 payments. No idea what this payment was for, or why it was taken from me. Horrible company, horrible customer service. Honestly, just booking classes yourself instead of through a second or third party app like this is much safer, doesn’t require you to hand over credit card details that they charge to as they please, and gives you more control. Will be warning off any of my friends who are interested in this app. Wish it was better..Version: 7.11.0

Great idea, ruined by customer hostile attitudesI love the idea of ClassPass, but unfortunately their customer services is based on a policy first, customer last attitude. I was double charged after having had to update my payment method as my credit card had expired. They refused to refund me as I only noticed the issue a week later when I saw the credit card bill. Instead they said I would be able to keep the extra credit for more than a month, by exception. When the end of the month came, I lost the extra credits as I didn’t have time to use it all.. if you read any independent reviews, you can see how robotic their responses are and the lack of taking it seriously. Every response starts with ‘we understand how frustrating this can be…’ and offers no solution what so ever. It’s a ‘computer says no’ approach which does not belong in a contemporary service business..Version: 9.4.0

SacmmerWhen you stop your subscription, they remove all your remaining credits and never return. Watch out for the subscription. It is really hard to get back. The customer service is very rude..Version: 9.2.0

Bad customer serviceI cancelled my membership with almost $100 of credits assuming I still had access to my points. No warning and I lost the money. They also charge a lot for cancelled classes and don’t take it out of your credits. Don’t recommend..Version: 9.1.0

Absolute Scam of a CompanyWorst customer service in history and the company is an absolute scam. I had paid for 3 months of credits (100 class credits) and due to a death in the family and myself also catching covid I couldn’t use ClassPass cause of isolation and recovering from everything and I told ClassPass I want to have the credit moved to the following month. Instead they said it will be charged 5 pounds to pause the membership and I was annoyed but said okay that’s fine rather than loosing all my PAID credit. Now the woman I was dealing with didn’t respond to my email for a week and by the time I got a response from ClassPass it was into the next month and obviously was cancelled cause I didn’t want them to charge me another 35 pound for even more credit! They replied late saying that woman was on holiday and therefor I can pay 35 pound for more credit and lost all my past credit. This company is a scam and I have told my local spin studios and CrossFit areas about this and they are thinking to remove their companies also from ClassPass as I have been going to them before this all happened and a valued member!.Version: 6.16.0

Pros and cons of Class passPros: you get to try out different classes and gyms for a really discounted rate (per class), no membership/commitment to a specific gym, can be used towards personal training sessions and other healthcare such as massages. Cons: you can only try a class or gym out 4x max but class pass doesn’t restrict the amount of times you book same class or gym on the app - so unfortunately you are told this by instructor (who needs a certain amount of people per class to get paid and ClassPass people don’t count)when he/she has seen you there 4x or more. If these are the rules, then app should restrict booking same class or gym after 4th time (so that it’s fair towards the instructors); also if you’ve paid for a cycle but get ill which happened to me and are not able to use the credits purchased, instead of rolling it over to the next cycle, you just lose them and start over. This really is unfortunate bc I paid for it and unfortunately lost all 45 credits bc I was unable to work out for 4-5 weeks. Another thing is that once you’ve booked a class, they are not able to refund you the credits if you cannot make it to a class for in case of emergency type cancellations (on the day of) and you could get charged $15 for not attending the class even if you have an emergency. Is there not a way to be able to cancel a class on the day of if you have an emergency and not get charged?.Version: 4.13.1

Not worth it if you live in MontrealThere aren’t many studios available and forget actually being able to get a booking for any classes that aren’t early morning weekends. I was seduced by the 1 month free trial but cancelled before even using it due to lack of classes available..Version: 8.15.0

ScamThis is an Scam app! please do not use it! I only tried it once! and they have been charging my credit cart since July without any notification! When I contacted them saying please cancel my membership and you did not have a consent, they did not approve it and they said somewhere in their policy it is mentioned that renewal is automatic! and it is not like other app that you can see it in your subscriptions. and guess what?! they charge my credit card again today after 5 emails back and forth last months! I am going to contact visa and also try my best to take a legal action! They are scam and it should not happen in Canada! Do do use this app! Once you entered your credit cart! they would no stop charging you..Version: 9.2.0

SCAM- they take your moneyI downloaded this app and deleted immediately! Last week the app kept showing up on my phone and yesterday- Oct 16-2023 i was charge an auto renewal of 69 with taxes 73 dollars to my Mastercard that’s connected to my Apple Store!! They just charge it-zero reminders when I tried to go get refund through Apple they don’t even appear!! It’s only through their app you can check you have Been screwed over!! I can’t even find a phone number to call ! This is very sketchy.Version: 8.16.0

Nice studios, HORRIBLE APPLot of bugs when buying credits, Poor customer service and the app will customize what you see in regards pricing, increasing it if your buddies are going, this is an ANTI-social app.Version: 9.0.0

Very disappointing customer serviceI downloaded this app to try the free trial but my credits didn’t load for three days. I switched to paid monthly and still none of my credits loaded. I contacted customer service to request a refund, they were extremely unhelpful, and were not able to explain why my credits failed to load and why my free trial did not work (despite the fact that I was eligible). Unbelievably bad customer service. The sales representative wouldn’t look into my issue. She just threw me a “sorry” and went offline. I feel robbed. I don’t even know who to contact to get my money back. Just crazy..Version: 9.2.1

BIG BIG SCAMYou guys, stay away from this app. They literally scammed me into buying a ton of credits for a salon appointment. But after I made the reservation the reservation kept showing pending and even when I called the salon they said they don’t even work with ClassPass. I tried contacting them several times about the pending reservation and they only said stay assured we will make this reservation for you. 24 hours before the reservation, it got cancelled automatically and when I asked them about it they said that “User cancelled it” even though I’m sure I didn’t. After a lot of back and forth with the team they offered that I could use it again to make another reservation. This time I made sure it was made well a week in advance and ever called the salon to make sure that an appointment was available. Literally the same thing happened, I even contacted the ClassPass team several times to ask about what happened but they said that the concierge team is “in process” of making my reservation. As expected 24hrs before the reservation it got cancelled again. So please if you want to use the app for 2-4 credits classes it’s fine. But don’t use it for the big credit stuff and definitely never buy extra credits from them. It’s literally just a system designed to lure you in..Version: 8.14.1

Charged without warningI received a link to try class pass for free, for about 3 classes. When me and my group of friends signed up, they asked for a credit card which was kind of odd since it did not say anything about being charged after a certain period of time. To our surprise, we were charged $50 with no warning of it for a membership that we didn’t want. We only ended up using 2 classes/10 credits before we were charged also. Trying to cancel our memberships and get refunds was a nightmare. I went back and forth on chat with the rep for literally 30 minutes, only receiving apologies and them stating they cannot refund me, which then turned into $40 and 10 credits, and finally into a whole refund. First, what kind of business states they cannot refund you when they don’t even tell you they are going charge you? If I knew I was going to be charged, I would’ve proactively canceled my account. Second, why is it so difficult to cancel? It was like jumping through hoops and I felt bad for being stern/pushy but I got annoyed after the 4th time they told me they couldn’t refund the full amount when not 5 minutes before they refunded my friend fully. I enjoyed the app itself, but this experience was so poor. At least consider notifying new members/accounts they will be charged after x amount of time..Version: 3.8.0

Don’t really love it but don’t 100% hate itI’ve had this app for a while now. And honestly I don’t love it and I don’t hate it. I could cancel it by the day of tomorrow but I pay $30 a month or so and I can go get some services done. The problem is that sometimes as a mom of two boys and a wife I put everyone else before me. & ClassPass takes your credits and only rolls over some in my case I believe it’s 18 credits that I can roll over. So I’m constantly at 36 because I roll over. The other BIG BIG ISSUE is that it seems like their partners hate working for them because when I have gone to get a service they always tell me they will do it but not to come back because they don’t want to work with ClassPass and they just don’t know how to remove themselves. And the 3rd and last issue is that the services sometimes are terrible. In example I went to go get laser hair removal & the owner’s machine broke. She asked me to come back and so I did but the second time around she skipped all the steps she did the first time and my experience was extremely painful & they burned my face and did not let me know nor did she give me care instructions other than wear sunscreen all a week before my wedding. I rocked a scar for a week and luckily it came off before my wedding but now I’m forever scarred. ClassPass just gave me my credits back but nothing can ever make my face look the same not 10 credits when I’m paying for more. This app is alright but you get what you pay for. 🥴.Version: 8.12.0

Nearly impossible to delete personal dataI tried ClassPass and then decided I did not want to continue using it. Although in the app you can cancel your subscription, there is no option for deleting your account. This is ridiculous considering how many similar services have a clear "delete account" option simply embedded in the app. I have been emailing back and forth with the support team trying to get them to delete my account and my data (e.g. billing details), but they are making it unnecessarily difficult. Still have not managed to get this simple request carried out. Extremely disappointing, and I am concerned as to why they are so eager to hold onto personal data this way..Version: 8.2.0

Class Pass ScamI tried to hold on for as long as I can but i couldn’t do it anymore and decided to cancel at 12:30am after an extremely irritating interaction with their reps. I don’t know if they’re eager to hold you accountable for your fitness journey or they’re just using that as a blanket to be as money hungry and petty as possible. I ACCIDENTALLY made a purchase of extra credits while looking for available classes for a class two days in advance. I was charged $12, and tried to refresh the screen so it wouldn’t go through. I immediately went to ask for help by a rep since I’m already a paying member and had already paid my monthly bill. He REFUSED me a refund several times without the opportunity for an exception…. Mind you, I’ve introduced TWO NEW paying members to class pass who are now enjoying their fitness journey while i fight tooth and nail for a simple $12 that was never intended to be spent. It really feels abusive. I already had to take a $28 charge for cancelling for an evening class (10 hours later in the day) because i woke up feel extremely ill… the cancellation policy is completely inhumane ….. I’ve cancelled and can’t see myself advocating for the app until the rectify this situation of a long history of grievances in just under 2 months ….Version: 8.13.0

Great idea and motivator, some improvements welcomeIt has been a fantastic tool to discover new places and sports. It is easy to change from a more expensive or a less expensive monthly rate depending on your goal of the month. As a beginner in everything, I would appreciate a level rating made clearer, you can easily find yourself in a tough class that is not for beginners as there is no indication on that. Also the map to find activities is a bit fiddly. Great tool with a few improvements, I will add more stars happily..Version: 8.6.0

AwfulI’ve been a classpass member for several years and a great customer. I am just so fed up with their terrible fees and customer service representatives. I used to love classpass but it’s become a joke since I first joined. Not only have they raised the monthly membership fee, but they’ve raised the amount of credits you need for each class. Every class I want to take is always booked unless I want to pay extra credits. If I don’t book a week in advance, I’ll be stuck with a class I don’t want to take at a time I don’t want to take it. I was charged for a class I attended and the missed class fee was more expensive that the class itself. Today was my final straw that caused me to cancel. I couldn’t make a class at 6:30 because of work. I called the studio and asked if I could be switched to an earlier class. The studio said “absolutely” but that I would need to make the switch through classpass. I contacted classpass and they refused to reschedule. QUESTION: THE STUDIO DIDN’T CARE ABOUT THE SWITCH, SO WHY DOES CLASSPASS CARE? I’ll tell you why... so they can steal more of my money. Happy to have canceled and will never become a member again. I will warn others not to use classpass unless they want to be robbed of their money..Version: 3.17.0

Hard to cancel subscriptionIt’s hard to cancel subscriptions with this company. I had to live chat with them and they kept pushing to make me choose another plan. Whole process took about 15-20 mins of my time which seems kind of wrong..Version: 4.10.0

Impossible to cancelThese guys make you jump through so many hoops to cancel - you can’t cancel unless you’ve spoken to someone on their end and not before being subjected to a big sell. The default plan they put you on is their mid tier plan - they also offer lower tiers but you don’t see that unless you dog really deep. Ethical issues aside... the app is hard to use and not well thought out. The UX is complicated and it’s hard to navigate. All in all, not a happy camper and upset I lost $210 on this because I was unable to subscribe..Version: 4.9.0

Terrible seviceDont usebthis application, they have no respect for consumers, they ask you to recommend them to your friends and then they will not give you the prize! And they are not responsive! It was a mistake to buy the subscription, dont make the same mistake.Version: 9.2.1

Was a fan, but now may cancelI really liked classpass —still do in terms of the convenience it provides and the ability to let people try different studios or gyms without separate monthly bills. However, a recent search filter change that didn’t behave the way as expected resulted in me booking a class at a different location than I had intended. Not realizing it, I went to the studio I thought I booked only to be told it was a different location. I cancelled the class since I couldn’t get to the right location in time and would have wasted additional money. When I contacted support about it, the response was pretty much: “oh well”. I’ve been a member and fan for several years and have recommended this service to many friends and family. To not get some follow up on this was pretty disappointing especially since I had spent about $12 for an Uber to make it to the class on time. So overall, i lost out on $32 because of a UI change and the company won’t even waive the cancellation fee. It’s not a big loss, but I find the principle of not owning up to a the company’s mistake (in their interface) is pretty f-ed up. Customers should not be the ones that pay for that. I’ll be cancelling this membership (of 3 years) if this is how they resolve company-responsible issues. Side note: other features of the app are cool. The recent addition of videos at home are super convenient! And I still like the activity filter and time filter interactions..Version: 4.7.1

Love the concept, terrible customer serviceThere has been a severe snowstorm where I live that turned into multiple days streak. This was obviously beyond my control and unexpected severity of the weather. I had to ask to waive my cancellation fees twice and instead of trying to solve the problem, the agent Jes just logged off on me in the middle of the chat. What?!??? Go check the weather warning if you need to verify. I’ve been a long time customer of classpass and this was a terrible customer experience..Version: 9.5.1

Rude customer service and faulty appI have had this problem with classpass app that whenever I try a new studio that I am not familiar with its location, it takes me to the back ally near the location. They insist on saying that it is a Google Map problem, but I use google map all the time and it is only through their app that I face such a problem. I trust the app to take me to the accurate location of the studios, because so many studios are on higher levels of buildings, or their entrance is at the back of the buildings, so if the app takes me to a slightly different address specially to the ally behind the actual address I think it is their way of directing me to the right door. Not with classpass. I have missed or been late for so many classes because of their error. But back then they used to have a gracious customer service who would reverse the charges whenever you missed a class because of that error, but it seems they have decided to go for rude and annoying customer service. Luna, my rude customer service agent, basically told me to go ahead and cancel if you don’t like it. Considering that after covid not many studios are open and the ones that are open have severed ties with Classpass, it seems rude customer service is a great recipe for business failure..Version: 5.13.1

Making credits expire feels like a scamI really hate the expiration of credits and the effort required to guess how much time I’ll have in the coming month to work out. If I pay for something (credits) I should get to keep them. This is everything that’s wrong with business culture - you make the most money off people not using something, so set up these pricing mechanisms that cheat people out of what they pay for when they don’t accurately forecast their ability to work out. Please rethink this, because the cross-studio model you offer is very good, but the expiring credits is scammy..Version: 7.13.0

Charging 14£ if don’t show up!I knew there was something wrong with this app.. free classes for a month, yeah right! Be advised if you go 1 min late to any class they will tick you off as not shown and charge you 14£. This is how they make money there is no free stuff anywhere and is the same with this app. I will try and get as many value as I can for a month by being to the most expensive classes 20 min earlier and then cancel my membership since they think they can “steal” money with these tricks. An of course I will not recommend it anyone..Version: 9.3.0

THEFTSThis app is a SCAM after u cancel your plan they still charge you $72.43 like excuse me no i canceled cause i didn’t like the app personally before deleting like i do wit any app i saying a subscription for (keep in mind i was still on free trial) yet you charge me???? I WONT MY MONEY BACK!!!!.Version: 9.0.0

Disappointing bug leaves me without class bookingsI’m so dissatisfied with the experience of the app recently and the fact there is no resolution leaving a customer unavailable to book a class and the studio unable to resolve. I’ve tired to book a Sauna at a local studio and have had this cancelled six times, a few legit bit most not. Having woke up to get ready for a confirmed booking which was confirmed available by studio and booked by ClasssPass CS the booking has now been cancelled. I’m frustrated beyond belief that this is the experience and there is nothing anyone do. Get it together ClassPass your real-time booking system is a lie!.Version: 8.8.0

Stole my credit and The worst customer service everThere was a mistake that made my credit disappear and they absolutely refused to give it back to me! The person in client service was extended rude I was so appalled by how cold and non understanding as well as extremely rude they were! Honestly avoid at all costs! You know you can directly book on the fitness companies websites and you don’t get any advantage with this awful company! Honestly awful ppl just interested purely by money which really just doesn’t make you want to give them any more money!.Version: 8.14.1

Charging me without consentI downloaded the app and got free trial period and I never used anything due to my personal schedule. Then there was a few attempts to charge me for $69 (but declined due to insufficient fund). I didn’t recall I agreed to choose any paid plan on the app. I checked on my Apple subscription and there was no active subscription either. So I don’t understand why they wanted to charge me $69. I canceled my membership and got the email regarding to cancelation confirmation on Friday 3rd November 2023. Today, 8 November 2023, the money was deducted from my account for $69. I have emailed and from the email, it is said there’s an option of LIVE CHAT from the website but I can’t find any button. Be careful on this app because you don’t even know what you have to pay for. It’s not clear and not open..Version: 9.0.0

The interface of the app is terribleThe idea of classpass is good but the actual interface of the app is terrible. Here are some examples: 1. there is no way to filter out categories in your search so you always end up having to scroll through tons of activities you don’t like (like spin or Pilates or spa stuff for me) to find classes. 2. The options for distance in the search is terrible, it jumps from 1mi to 5mi!! And there is no way for you to type in your preferred distance. 3. It does not remember what studios or classes you gave bad reviews about so they constantly still come up in your search and you have to scroll through them. There is literally no way to filter them out. 4. The algorithm for the search doesn’t necessarily include all of the studios that fit the category you searched for. For example, 100% of the time I search for “barre” it will not include all of the available barre studios. Instead I have to search for the missing studio by name. This makes literally no sense!! 5. You always have to review the class you took before selecting a new class. This leads to inflation in the stars each studio has and is the reason every studio has at least 4.8 stars. There is literally no reason for this. Please higher some software developers!!.Version: 5.2.0

Doesn’t cater to user needsClasspass needs to be more customer focused. People get sick, go travelling, work away from home, get pregnant etc and in those circumstances classpass need to offer the ability to suspend memberships free of charge or for a small fee (to be credited back when membership resumed) like other fitness facilities. The inflexibility of their membership management forced me to cancel because they didn’t operate where I was moving temporarily too for work and I won’t rejoin because I’d have to pay a $79 fee again. This is a great concept but could be much more customer focused..Version: 4.10.2

They took my credits before my trial period endsI tried some classes on ClassPass, but as I’m on trial, they don’t allow me to go to one class twice so I wanted to buy some credits so I could go a second time to a class that I loved but than I found than all my credits had gone before even my trial period was finished, this is really not fair, I wanted to try other classes but they took all my credits for no reason. I don’t understand why..Version: 8.15.0

This app has a messed up system and a messed up service.I ended up using my wife's phone. When I logged in using my account rather than my wife's, the reservation was rejected, saying I was not a first-time user. When I relayed the above information to the company, they responded, “Use a different cell phone.” In response, I asked, “Do people usually carry multiple devices around and switch devices when they have problems with the app?” They falsely accused me of using multiple accounts and blocked my free use..Version: 8.15.0

You need to read all the small lettersPayment was taken from my account and I didn’t even notice. I couldn’t take advantage of the credits and they expire each month. So if you don’t continue paying you lose what you previously paid. It’s a good concept but I wish the terms were clearer..Version: 9.5.0

Good app - but impossible to canceTrying to cancel after my free trial. Have tried to cancel it 15 times but it never actually confirms cancelation and takes you in circles- total money making scam!!!!.Version: 5.1.0

ClassPass takes all your money if you don’t constantly renew your membershipsI had a ClassPass membership, paying $80 every month and getting 30 credits. I went away and couldn’t use my ClassPass as much (as there was that many studios) and therefore stopped my membership. Now that I’m back I would really like to use the 62 credits (worth $160) I paid for and ClassPass removed everything as part of it renewing my membership. I have contact them but no response was received. I find it extremely poor form that no credits is leftover once the month ends and I was under the impression that it all rolls over (even if you don’t renew your membership). ClassPass is a waste of money and will take your money (without notifying you)!.Version: 8.5.0

Used to be greatUp until recently, I would have rated ClassPass 5 stars but with the role out of the new credits model, I have had some concerns. I was part of the credits pilot and during the pilot period, the program worked really well. I never really benefitted from classes being worth less credits b/c most of the ones I take are 7-9 credits and so I didn't really have enough to make an 11th class but I was very happy to be able to take 10, which usually I rarely ended up taking all of them. But with the role out, there is a new "premium spot" feature, which was never part of the pilot and frankly, is absurd. This past Sunday evening a Fhitting Room class was available for 24 credits...that's ridiculous. I could just go and pay the full price. Whats the point of using ClassPass? Y7 is another studio I love but is now 15 credits. Row House is also more than 9 credits and I can promise you that I have been to many of the 5:30 classes and they are at least half empty, if not more, so I have no idea why someone would pay more than the already high (I think 9 is a lot for that class) credit amount for a "premium spot" in that class. I understand that you need to make your model work but 24 credits for a class is ridiculous. I am strongly considering discontinuing my membership..Version: 3.8.0

If using to try out gyms…get the credits then run!!!My parter HAD a paid subscription, and offered me free trial credits. I tried Pilates, really liked the class and said, okay let’s do the class again, try out a new instructor. Nope. You have to add the paid subscription (even though I’m sitting on 18 credits). I guess you can’t book more than once at same gym. I say I guess, because when I tried to contact customer support I get the super quick auto email and then someone who basically just repeated that I needed to, “update to paid subscription.” I’m like, “okay, I’ll pay for a month.” I really liked working out with my partner, and if it frees up the other credits, I have a lot workouts coming to me. Nope. Even though I had a valid subscription, it wouldn’t let me book anywhere I had been before, until the free credits expired. Customer support 1*; App experience 1*. There are better apps out there like Mindbody, etc. be clear, you aren’t getting access, discounted classes or flexibility with this app…you’re not really getting a service…just a crappy app that most gym goers stay away from..Version: 8.1.1

Really rigid policiesBe careful using this app. I signed up for a free trial and walked away with a cancellation fee (US$15) for a ridiculous situation. There is no reschedule option so I cancelled one class to sign up for an earlier class at the same studio. I simply did the same class but an hour earlier. Because it was registered through the app as a ‘cancel’ I have been landed with a fee. There is no warning that your cancellation will result in a penalty except for in the fine print - other apps and websites give you a popup to say you will be fined before you confirm to cancel. The customer service has been terrible - I have sent 4 emails and explained the situation. One email got a reply which said that they will not waive the charge as this is their policy. Terribly rigid and inflexible. I wish I had booked directly with the yoga studio and paid for the class myself - providers are usually really flexible with time changes but you will get zero of that through this app..Version: 4.17.3

Scam!!!The app automatically charges me $82?! I didn’t even subscribed..Version: 9.5.1

Horrible!!Horrible app!! You pay a monthly membership and receive these points and you use those points to book classes. Some classes are shown on the app but won’t let you book it let’s you go through all the way with picking a day and time until you actually book it then it won’t let you book. Customer service is horrible and not helpful at all. I cancelled my membership for the following month (I didn’t want to forget to cancel it so did it now) but still had points and days left on my current month to book classes. When I told them this they said I needed a recurring membership to be able to book classes. If you cancel ahead you lose your points such a waste and system that is not for the benefit of the user!! Will never use them again. Which is a shame because this concept has such great potential but such horrible design and customer service..Version: 7.8.0

Customer service is uselessI tried to update my banking details to reactivate my account I made years ago. But because I can’t remember the last 4 digits of some bank card I had when I made it they won’t let me do ANYTHING. I was on the chat for HOURS trying to resolve it but they WOULD NOT let me do it because of the bank detail. I DONT HAVE THAT BANK CARD ANYMORE how can I use it to confirm my identity!! I CANT EVEN DELETE MY ACCOUNT!!! The account is tied to my gmail and Apple Store SURELY you could figure something out. The chat was so useless and kept saying the same thing and wouldn’t let me speak to someone higher up..Version: 9.2.1

ScamAuto renew after trial. No notification, no nothing. Charged $75. Shady and dodgy refund terms - challenging customer service team. Wouldn’t recommend in the slightest.Version: 5.0.1

Great… until it wasn’tI started with a free trial of classpass and loved it so much that I renewed for 4 months! I even upgraded my membership last cycle. It was great… until it wasn’t. At first, everything was super affordable and their credits per service/fitness class were amazing. Seemingly overnight, they changed a lot of their structure. Classes that used to cost me 4 credits now cost 7-8 (one at the same studio was even 10!), and my 10 credit manicure is now 14 at the same salon, despite none of these businesses changing their pricing. Classpass concierge is a joke. It worked great last November, but when I tried to book at the same salon last week I got a response saying they couldn’t secure me an appointment, but I called the salon myself and they were able to take me at that same time slot for the same service without classpass’ help. I then tried to schedule a manicure at 3 other salons that were “concierge” service as well, and classpass once again told me they couldn’t schedule it for me. That’s fine, but don’t advertise those salons if you’re not even willing to do the scheduling and are too lazy to call the salon to book. I reached out to customer support and they were no help. Now I have a surplus of credits I’m trying to use up because I will not be renewing this service due to the recent changes..Version: 7.5.0

Cancellation is main drawbackApp works well with lots of interesting experiences. The cancellation charge is a big drawback I found. Not only do you use credits to book a class, (and if you don’t attend a class those credits are used up) but if you need to cancel for whatever reason you get hit with ANOTHER cancellation charge. In covid times when I’m cancelling because I have a throat tickle or whatever to protect other people this doesn’t make sense to me. Not only that but credits not rolling over, the fact that you need to go through like 6 screens just to cancel. Parts of the app are definitely cash grabby.Version: 8.1.0

Second some of these reviewsI can completely agree and testify to some of the reviews on ClassPass. Was a fan, but may cancel. I think it’s great that they give you the opportunity and access to health clubs. However, I made the mistake (a truly novice mistake) of cancelling and re-reserving then cancelling, resulting in two $15 cancellation fees. My wife and I wanted to take a spin class together (our first ever) while we were at work communicating via text. We were trying to book a class but realized that one of us couldn’t because there was only 1 spot left (since it was grayed out). So we were both juggling back and forth, cancelling, re-reserving, cancelling...just to realize - yes there was one spot left. We then ultimately both ended up cancelling and took a different class (yoga 🥵). It was great, hard and tough, but a week later I get 2 x $15 cancellation fees from the spin class we canceled and re-reserved within a span of 15 mins? Contacted the support team and they only waived 1/2 thus far. I get it, it’s a free trial and the company needs to make money where ever they can, but to realize this situation and see that it truly was a mistake should have better resolutions for people like me. I like the app don’t get me wrong - and I want to continue its partnership, but the customer service part is just eh. Not quite the first impression you want for new users..Version: 4.15.3

Stole almost $1000 from meI downloaded the app to check it out once and covid hit so I didn’t use it again. I just logged into it today to use it again and they have debited almost $1000 from me. Additionally this was during covid when I couldn’t even use the relevant classes. Contacted them to ask for my sign up information, they refused and kept telling me to read terms and conditions. All credits I’ve paid for can’t even be used because they don’t roll over credits. While it seems like you save, it’s apparent you don’t..Version: 7.6.0

Zero flexibility and greedy business modelClasspass will do everything it can to squeeze extra fees out of you, lock you in to a plan, make it difficult to cancel and has zero flexibility built in to its offering. And should you seek assistance the robotic customer service is extremely frustrating. Use it to access classes, but do not expect a human touch..Version: 7.15.2

SCAM DO NOT SUBSCRIBEWish I had seen all the negative reviews earlier. I reached out to Customer Service because I was charged after the free trial for 2 months and requested a refund. The Customer Service member refunded me for one month then closed my account so I could no longer use the credits from the month prior, instead of informing me first that this would be the case. I only requested that they allow me access the credits for the one month that they could not refund me, and they said that there was nothing they could do since they had already closed my account. So I paid $90 for nothing and cannot even get access to the credits that were paid for..Version: 9.1.0

Unethical Business PracticesDuring COVID, ClassPass is trying to force its users to go back to gyms. My account was paused but since several of the studios I visited in the past are open, ClassPass says that’s enough to restart my membership, so they went ahead and charged me for a month. Now I have a ton of credits that I can’t use. COVID numbers are going up, not down. The CDC is recommending that people don’t travel to visit family over Thanksgiving. I had to cancel my Thanksgiving plans with my family. My job site doesn’t open until summer 2021. And yet ClassPass thinks it’s ok to restart my membership without asking me what I want to do, simply because a few studios opened back up and ClassPass added new class offerings to stream. The streaming service is spotty at best and I don’t like them and haven’t used them since. COVID made ClassPass an unethical company. I can’t recommend anyone use ClassPass. I understand the company needs money, but it’s our memberships to manage, not yours. The customer should have full control of their membership with the ability to pause and unpause. My LA Fitness membership has treated me with more respect than ClassPass. I no longer trust ClassPass and will be reporting them to the BBB if this is not resolved promptly..Version: 5.22.1

Do not download, dont waste your moneySave your money and yourself from this app and dont download it. I have feel for the free trial and ended up costed me a fortune. I made the great mistake of downloading the app and since then i have been charged $49 per month without been able to either recover the money back that i have spent over the months or even able to cancelling my membership. It is such a big BS that sometimes it doesnt even fully coverage te costs of bookings and you ended up paying things out of pocket. In addition, the costumer service is a joke and sometimes dont bother to answer or copy and paste answers. So for this and many reasons, do not fall for this. You will ended up wasting so much money and its a clear scam that no one aware me of..Version: 9.4.0

False Advertisement of PromotionIt was showing every activity in free trial for a month to use the credits provided on signup. But after few days, they locked access to some activities even after having the required credits..Version: 8.15.0

Never worksI have this app for almost 3 years now. It was perfect in the first year and then it simply stoped working. I update it every 3 months or so in the hope to see it working again but it never did. I make bookings through the website, which takes longer and it’s not as easy. Definitely not having a app that works well is a downside of Class Pass which is a system of bookings that I really enjoy. I sent emails to them reporting the issue and got screen shots of how to book online which is not really the issue..Version: 4.12.0

Inappropriate chargeThey charge me at the same day I canceled my count. I want to be refunded!.Version: 9.4.0

Unhelpful Customer ServiceThe customer service is terrible..Version: 8.15.0

Good in general but the app is slowIdea itself is great, I visited some classes near me, very convenient when you don’t want to buy membership in only one place. BUT the app is bad, it works slow, sometimes it just closes when you are in the middle of the search, it is extremely annoying. Studios search isn’t great too, just not that user friendly an helpful, it definitely can be better. Hope you’ll work on the app a bit more (improve design and work speed).Version: 8.14.1

Can’t even get trial to startI’ve tried over and over, but when I select Apple Pay to start the trial, nothing happens. I don’t want to add my card info after hearing about other people being charged after cancelling, but it sure seems like the app is designed to make you do just that..Version: 8.15.0

Love the app, no real customer serviceI love being able to see schedules of different studios and the user-friendly app, but hate the fact that there’s no real customer service when you need help. I reached out to customer service to unlock normal classes for a studio I frequented outside of ClassPass and they closed my request without an explanation or even actioning the request. At the moment I’m still unable to access this studio without booking an orientation I’ve already attended outside the app. Such a shame too as I’ve recommended the app to my friends, but I’m thinking of cancelling my subscription because of this..Version: 8.15.0

No customer servieI got scammed billing system. Tried to contact to customer service but there's only chat. They were keep ending conversation and didn't get refund. Never recommend.Version: 9.2.1

Pathetic customer serviceI can honestly say ClassPass really really don’t care about their customers at all. I’m so upset that this app, which allows me to do all these fantastic fitness classes on a weekly basis without breaking the bank, has just let themselves down so badly with their customer support. I’ve been speaking via email to a customer support associate called Eugene, trying desperately to sort out a referral reward that I hadn’t received, and all I have had are pathetic responses every time regurgitated from their list of policies. Customer support is supposed to be there to provide a human aid to customer issues, but I still feel like I’m just talking to a computer. There’s been no compassion or understanding given to my issues (this isn’t even the first thing that I’ve had a complaint about) and I feel like he’s barely even reading my responses. I have been nothing but polite and I’m still getting nothing resolved. Really really disappointing, don’t bother using this app..Version: 8.6.1

Classpass CreditsWith the introduction of ClassPass credits they’re ruining the app. The benefit was that you could get more classes cheaper than through the actual studios. This made the nuisances of ClassPass ($15 cancellation fee, inability to reschedule or change classes on same day, inability to change classes through the studio, inability to ever speak on the phone to anyone, inability to book a class less than 30 minutes before) worth it. Every month since they introduced credits they raise the number of credits required to take a class which gives you less classes for your money. It used to be 10 classes for $85 a month which was a good deal. Now I get 60 credits for the same price which is around 6 classes. That is essentially the same price as buying from the studio where your classes don’t expire in 1 month or have o deal with any of the other ClassPass associates pains. They also don’t offer the number of monthly credits to evenly divide the credits by classes so you’re always stuck with leftover unusable credits and forced to either buy more or waste your money with unused credits. If they don’t start making the credits more reasonable I’ll no longer be a ClassPass customer..Version: 3.12.0

ScamSigned up for my free trial and had issues seeing me booked into class. Contacted customer service and was told that they will delete the recent registration and instructed me to re-sign up and was assured that there should be no issue going forward. I followed instructions and figured everything was good… when I went to class I was informed by the studio that I was booked twice…? I ignored that and figured ClassPass couldn’t fix that and went on with my day. Cancelled my free trail before I was set to get charge and received an email confirmation. good thing I checked my bank account cause I see a charge for $82.95! Had to re-contact customer service and after more information they see the charge and say “we will make an exception and refund it” and “just a friendly reminder that making multiple accounts is a violation” ?!? Ya I know that and just an FYI I was just following instructions and have a video recording of said chat from the other customer service agent assuring me they had fixed the issue on their end and that I need to re-sign up! What a freaking headache. Save yourself some time and money and just go directly through the studios!!!.Version: 9.3.0

UNETHICAL COMPANY THAT MAKE MONEY FROM PEOPLE NOT CANCELLING BEFORE END OF TRIALDo NOT support ClassPass. I hate when companies intentionally deceive their customers by making them input their credit card info for a trial banking on the fact the person will forget it. They don’t even sign you up to the lowest tier plan, they sign you up to the $70 plan which will be deducted out of your account as soon as your 14-day trial ends. I understand you agree to the terms and conditions but you can’t disagree that this is completely unethical and takes advantage of those who forget to cancel the trial. I will never give my money again to this disgusting company. Change your T&Cs and I might consider it. As a designer it’s insulting you operate this way because it is a good product, your ethics are completely flawed..Version: 5.1.0

DO NOT GET THISI signed up for this ages ago, the fine print was ever so fine that I didn’t even know it would start charging me $70 every month. I’ve seen on Reddit other people having issues with them making fraudulent charges. Save yourself the trouble and do not download this..Version: 8.15.0

DONT DO ITYou cant cancel a class late or you get prnalised $15 which is fine but if there are circumstances beyond your control customer service is terrible!!! Theres no way to call Class Pass & the ppl on the chat are so unhelpful. They basically charge you even if theres a rly good reason. Even if its their fault! For instance, i booked a spin class bc from the Class Pass page it looked like there was onsite parking as the class was on in Sydney CBD (zero parking that isnt super expensive). I booked the class & rang the studio to work out how to access the parking but was told there is none. If id never have booked the class. Im still being charged for the class AND being charged a cancelation fee of $15 too. DONT JOIN CLASS PASS ITS JUST NOT WORTH THIS KIND OF MISCOMMUNICATION AND HASSLE😭.Version: 8.10.0

ITS A SCAM!!!I tried the free month and cancelled my subscription and they continued to charge my credit card and simply stole money from me saying I cant be refund cause it’s simply “their policy” Im going to open a consumer protection rights case cause this is stealing (as i did cancel my subscription) and it’s illegal..Version: 9.5.0

Quite expensive and good luck cancelling...Good luck cancelling.... Very annoying and poor user experience to cancel a membership, remember, you are auto enrolled to a monthly bill after your free trial. Not only do you have to confirm twice that you want to cancel which also cancels the trial, you then have to chat to somebody on live chat who will try to get you to stay. They open the chat with “remember your membership isn’t cancelled yet”. You have to wait in a virtual queue to then be hit by the sales team who won’t cancel unless you are clear you don’t want to buy anything and you need to state that at least twice. It’s a ludicrous and annoying way to cancel and my overall opinion of the company is that they are money grabbers with zero consideration for people, their time, and their experience with the company. Overall I felt that the value for money from this was quite poor also, I could definitely attend a high end gym such as Virgin Active in London and benefit from such classes at a cheaper price if I want to attend regularly. If you want something once a week that’s a bit different then be willing to pay a premium..Version: 5.1.0

ThievesThis app takes any opportunity to just steal your money and offer nothing in return. Once you pay for your credits they take any opportunity to make them expire. You can pay for your credits but if you try cancel your membership your credits you paid for expire. When you try to cancel they tell you if you pay for another month you can keep your credits as they rollover! Great, I kept paying. Then I’m told there’s a cap on the amount of credits which you’ve paid for you can keep. They force you into a billing cycle where you have to keep your membership to keep your credits but you can’t roll over all your credits. Despicable..Version: 8.13.0

Reporting a bugNo idea how to report bug in the app so I am going to do it here. I really enjoy the ClassPass widget but recently there’s lots of bugs. One of which even lead me to turn up at the wrong studio (not fully ClassPass fault because I should have entered the app to double check anyway). But the widget just seems to not be updating. I clearly have classes lined up too and the widget has either be blank as if it’s not loading or it’s outright saying there’s no classes coming up. The purpose of widget is for convenience and I can do a at a glance but this hasn’t been the case recently. For context, I have completely closed and reload the app itself several times and restarted my phone too. If you could fix that, it’s much appreciated! Cheers!.Version: 8.10.0

SpamClass pass is sort of an spam. I requested to cancel my membership months ago and they have kept charging me! I request for a redound and they response: we don’t redound retroactively! Stay away.Version: 9.1.0

Unclear information on account pageI got a referral from a friend to try the app out. Since starting to use the app, I realized that I couldn’t really make my schedule work because of my work situation. I checked in the app 10 days before it reached 1 month to see if I need to pay any fee afterwards if I don’t buy more credits. The membership page shows “$0 monthly fee + xx credits” with no disclaimer. I didn’t see any information on the page saying I would be charged $xx on a future date. I let the customer service know about this feedback after I saw my credit card got charged. They don’t acknowledge the unclear description at all, just kept saying it’s the trial policy. Yes there is policy but still there is a better way to surface that information instead of making it vague on the account page. You don’t provide those kind of information as checking a box, but should help to inform customers more so they can easily evaluate whether they want to keep the service or not. They kept saying that if I downgraded to $10 per month I can keep my credits to try keep me using the service while I am already very frustrated with it. What a terrible customer experience, trapping customers to subscribe. I like the concept of ClassPass, but it doesn’t suit my work life well. Now after this experience, I will recommend my friends to not use it because of the service..Version: 4.17.2

ScammerBiggest scammers. They charge you $82 monthly and it doesn’t show in the app store subscription. They are very sneaky about it and there is no option to cancel the membership unless you try to approach them..Version: 9.2.1

Don’t do it!!ClassPass is not worth the trouble of saving a couple of bucks. Red flag number one, they have no telephone number for customer service. You must email to get in contact with them and they can then take 3-5 days to get back to you! By that time, especially if your concern is time sensitive, it will be too late for them to resolve the issue in a timely fashion. Red flag number two. They also have the worst search capability that I have ever seen. There is also a maximum on the time you can go to a particular place. After that, the points needed to attend your favorite classes will be the total cost that you pay for the month!!! They lure you on in with a free month then it will be problems and issues from there on guaranteed! They also try to blame the studios for why a class isn’t listed on the class pass app schedule but is actually offered at the studio. When you ask the studio why it doesn’t match ClassPass they say they have been trying to fix it but ClassPass keeps changing it and excluding the classes from their offerings. They also try to blame the studio for why the point amount needed to attend more than triples. The studios are also not responsible for this but ClassPass will operate without integrity and continue to claim that it’s the studios. Poor customer service if I have ever seen it!! Don’t do it!!.Version: 4.8.0

The app works. The business model doesn’t.The app seems to work fine but I cannot recommend the actual service. In the guise of updating their model (from the unlimited classes to the capped classes to the different rollouts of the credit system) ClassPass has consistently raised the effective per-class fee so that the value of the program is a fraction of what it was. Despite Classpass’s claims that their new credits program did not signal an increase in pricing because credits allowed users to reserve “spots” in the classes that were not previously available, an eyeball of the class-available scheduled shows the lie in this. At my favorite two studios, for example, classes used to be available for 7 or 8 credits, but since the last program update, I have NEVER seen a class available under 12 credits at either. And I know this isn’t because the 12-credit seats are “premium” or that the times are particularly in demand; every single class is listed as costing 12 credits as soon as they become available for reservations and thus the 12-credit price isn’t a reflection of increased demand but just set higher initially. Along with the many increases over the years, I am now paying twice as much for half as much. The lack of transparency about this is really disappointing..Version: 3.22.0

Info Not transparentThey made it so difficult to find the cancellation button, and when I found it, it went through so many questions, and eventually some technical issue which won’t let me click through. The dance studio I want to try isn’t available under the trial plan. I did consider signing up for a proper plan but they won’t tell me how many credits the classes consume until I upgrade to a proper paid plan. So I could be signing up and realised that it’s costing more through ClassPass than directly with the vendor. It’s one of those businesses that would do anything to get you to pay for it first. I understand they need to make money but at least he transparent with your customers..Version: 7.7.0

Be careful! They will insult you!I downloaded the software for the first time last week and then signed up for a trial. After two days, your software was no longer available. I went to customer service and they said I had signed up for your trial before? I tried to prove that I hadn't even registered with your company before, and this was my first time. Customer service went on about how correct the fraud monitoring system was. This is the worst user experience I've ever had. Because the first time I tried a software, I was wronged and insulted my honest personality. I asked customer service to apologize, and they simply ignored me, again insulting my honest character..Version: 8.1.0

Well that was short lived...Was really excited about classpass’s concept and was very excited attending my first 3 classes; then when trying to set up my 4th class I realized the credit amount for the same class had doubled or tripled for the same classes I’d literally been in the week before. There was no warning, explanation etc as to why. I thought maybe it was some sort of glitch and looked up other classes and same thing, all had now become 8/9credits from 3/4 credits the week before. That’s very much a bait and switch. Had really been looking forward to replacing my lifetime gym membership with this but very glad I didn’t cancel my lifetime membership as I’ll be going back to it and canceling this. The lack of transparency leaves much to be desired. Issue #2; only 10 or your subscription amount of points rollover each month so you can’t accumulate more than double your subscription amount; yet there are services which cost 100+ credits so how does one accumulate that much if you can’t save more than double your credits monthly? This isn’t really explained well in their fine print!! I’d literally been thinking I was “saving” credits for my Bday(April) to go get a full spa treatment that costs 100+ only to find out my monthly payments of $42 since Nov 2021 had been resetting to 21 credits and rolling over 21 credits so the most I ever had was 42 credits at a time!! Smh!!.Version: 7.5.0

Horrible experience and even worse customer serviceThis app used to be great in the early days but I sadly have to that it has been one of my worst experiences with a paid app to date. I recently canceled because of moving to a place that did not have classpass studios in its area (plus the local amazing studios were cheaper and offered unlimited classes monthly!) I had 6 remaining credits to use and 4 days left in my cycle. I was planning on using those credits that had already been paid as I wrapped up my final month before the cycle termination. Unfortunately, classpass revoked all my credits remaining on my account and deactivated the account upon canceling—- essentially taking what I had already paid for away. Either this was some software bug or classpass is trying to increase their margins by swindling customers. I’d recommend that you support local studios directly which tend to actually have better prices that classpass and pass on this app. If you have any issue with your experience they aren’t going to help you. Once classpass realized what they had erroneously done to my account they offered no reimbursement or apology and tried to upsell me to another month subscription. Absolutely ridiculous!.Version: 4.1.2

Do NOT register or buy a Class Pass Gift Voucher as a present to someone elseMy coworkers bought me a Class Pass Gift Voucher for my birthday as I’d been exploring other forms of exercise instead of the usual gym and though they didn’t use Class Pass themselves thought I might like the concept. They wasted their money and sadly just gave me a headache instead. I’ve been passed around from customer service representative to representative, as essentially they want to charge me for the first month and apply the Gift Voucher for a later month (as it seems more important that they can charge and keep charging my account). Customer service are terrible. I haven’t tried a class through their service yet (so can’t even say if I like exercising through it) but honestly the whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. There is no way I’m going to pay a months usage for the privilege of accessing my birthday gift voucher a month later, for a product I haven’t even tried (I will say that the last few days back and forth with customer care have been frustrating and I now have zero trust and a very low opinion of the Class Pass brand)..Version: 4.11.1

Great selection of classes but App has some annoying issuesI love the selection of classes available in the app. It’s very easy to book and sign up is seamless. On the other hand, there are a couple of issues that are extremely annoying but could easily be fixed: - please fix deep linking, when I open an invite link, I really want it to open the app - if deep linking is too much work, at least , for the love of god, please show the details of the class, time, location etc at the TOP of the share page… not half way through the page. Also, please remove all the other sections, I really only care about what class has been shared with me so I can just book it…. No need to read a whole pitch why classpass is so great. - if I share class via link with someone, please don’t include the message “Hey, I’m going to 1Rebel, and I want you to come with me…” UNLESS I BOOKED THE CLASS…. it’s very annoying and frustrating to see it there all the time regardless if booking was made or not. - just to emphasise, I’m gonna mention the share page again, please remove all the useless sections from it, only include the details of the class and a huge button so I can book it. Thanks!.Version: 8.5.0

Awful customer serviceDISAPPOINTING - I “switched” my program from the lowest price option to the highest. In the app this is described as a switch, so I had assumed that the new plan would take over from the old less expensive plan (both bought within a few hours). Instead both the plans were applied and I was charged twice. Explained the situation was told there was nothing they could do (never heard of a company that could not issue refunds!) App was glitchy, ambiguous language. AVOID - go to your local gym and pay a daily rate instead..Version: 9.1.0

Class pass creditsClass pass is amazing but the credits vs when I was on trial are not the same. I went to 4 classes and all my credits for the month are already done.Version: 9.2.1

Warning!I have used this app for a couple of months now. I had run out of credits and purchased £35 worth of credits. I then become unwell and couldn’t attend classes for a week. After that week a payment of £65 was due to come out, I cancelled this payment before it was due to be taken and they removed my £35 worth of credits as well. I assumed this was an error on their site and contacted them and they refused to provide back the credits I paid for!! So make sure you use all your credits and don’t risk having too many extra as if you get sick or need to stop just one payment then you lose everything..Version: 6.17.0

You will end up paying INFINITELY more per class than signing up with a studioThe idea is good, but the system is infuriating and expensive. I got a $200 gift card for my thirtieth birthday from my friends—I work out a lot and was moving to a new city. It should have been a perfect gift while I looked for my new favorite place. However, the window to book classes is just a week, and if you have to cancel, it has to be before a 12 hour window. That seems reasonable, but when you cancel inside, you’re hit with a minimum $15 fee, and if you miss the class (get there one minute late) you’re charged $20 or more. It’s absolutely outrageous! Especially with the blizzard we incurred in the Midwest, everything is unpredictable. They don’t take it out of your balance either, it’s separately charged from your account. I have NO way of seeing what they’ve taken out of the original $200 my friends gave me, but you’re forced into paying at least $35 a month as the subscription, and then if you don’t use up all of your points before the next billing cycle, you lose them. It would have been easier to just hand Classpass $300 and take a few offbeat classes all over the city. I would not recommend this to anyone..Version: 4.1.2

Think twiceI used to love using the app however lately it’s been very buggy and will be unable to load schedules or pages. Due to a glitch I was charged a late cancellation fee. Their customer service is abysmal and they will often send you pre-written scripts. Their Instagram comments are very scary - not much of a customer service team so be warned! The deals are not that great if you’re being given a glitched out service..Version: 8.15.0

Bye bye ClassPassI really liked ClassPass for a long time, but their customer service is just terrible. There are times they did not reply to my emails. But what really made me want to cancel is that they wouldn’t waive my $15 cancellation fee when I had booked a class in another city while on vacation, and was physically unable to make it to the location. It was BS. If I hear one more time that this is vital to them keeping a good relationship with studios, I’ll scream. That’s their issue to manage and they can’t just paint across the picture that there are no exceptions to this, because that’s not a realistic expectation for their human being customers. Also I saw there is a $75 reactivation fee which is laughable. Why would that be enticing to anyone? Lol. I think companies like lyft and Uber have become good at sorting through legitimate emergencies and reasons why things didn’t go as planned. I hope the next company that comes out in competition with ClassPass has that human touch, because it just doesn’t seem to register with whoever runs ClassPass. Ps. Yes I’ve gone to classes when I didn’t feel well so that I wouldn’t get hit with their fee. How ridiculous is that?.Version: 4.20.1

Charged without opting into a planCharged me without notice when I reserved a class for the first time after a trial pass. Hadn’t specifically opted into anything. Didn’t give me any notice that it was going to charge. The first I knew was my bank app pinging me. Also charged $75 when the advertising on the day of my purchase is reduced to $55. As it was my first purchase, why shouldn’t I get the sale price? They told me I couldn’t have a refund because I had already used the credits, but I used the credits *ON RESERVING THE CLASS* and it charged me *in the same instant*. So I do not accept their excuse that I’ve already used credits. Never has this problem with other class booking apps and they allow pay-per-class and 10 class passes because who the heck knows what will happen next week so subscription models just don’t work for everyone. What is the stupid ‘mystical’ credit system? I do not get paid by my employer in ‘credits’ and there is no reason to mire the price of a class in a secondary monetary value system, just to make us do unrequired maths?? Stupidity. *deletes app..Version: 9.5.1

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APPI recently subscribed to the app, and I had to cancel my subscription because every time I would book a class in a gym nearby, I would find out minutes before that class that the gym doesn’t exist, so I would cancel, and the app would charge me $10 - $12 cancellation fees. This happened about 3 times before I decided to end my subscription and delete the app. Also, I’m reading that they continue to charge your credit card after cancellation so I filed a complaint to fraudulent services. I anticipate to take this further action because this is a fraudulent service..Version: 8.16.0

Disappointed in lost $Great app but SO cheeky that you either have to cancel your membership right before your billing cycle, or loose all your money and credits. Not sure how that can be justified..Version: 5.21.0

Extremely disappointedThis is actually one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an app or service like this. 1st my roommate sent me her link to download ClassPass so that we could do a yoga class together before she left Los Angeles - I made an account using the link and neither of us ever got the reward for having a friend sign up with her link. She was supposed to receive $40 in credit that never came. 2nd after finalizing the account we signed up for yoga class and within minutes realized the traffic was becoming too heavy and we were not going to make the class on time which had a zero tolerance for tardiness so we both canceled within five minutes or less of signing up for the class. I only recently after reviewing my bank statements realized I was charged $15 for this class. 3rd upon reviewing my bank statement I also found out I was charged $80 through ClassPass when I would’ve absolutely never have signed up for a plan that cost $80 a month and my intention was to sign up for the $50 a month plan being that that was what I could afford – not $80. I only ever used ClassPass to go to one class at a studio that I’ve been to many times and luckily they were able to accommodate me even after they said I was not registered for the class via ClassPass. I am extremely disappointed by this app/service..Version: 4.19.4

Not in all areasGood app! But again - shows no result for Wellington! I am surprised and disappointed.Version: 4.12.0

Loved this app until this happened (DO NOT USE)I rarely write negative review in fact this is my first but I’m really saddened by how they treat loyal customers. I have been using class pass for a long time now, and have had an active subscription. I use it for Muay Thai and workout classes and most places I go to are excellent. I decided to cancel my subscription and instead purchase add ons thinking it was a better and more affordable option. Spent over $50 and bought this upgrade to get 25 credits a few days ago. I log in to my account today and find out that all my credits are missing. Apparently all add on credits do not roll over and you cannot use if you don’t have an active class-pass subscription. I’m gutted because I had no clue and I didn’t know this was a thing. They make you read the terms and conditions for this but honestly it makes no sense how even buying add on credits won’t rollover and just gets cancelled with no active subscription. I referred a lot of my friends to classpass but not anymore. What a sad policy this is..Version: 8.12.0

Scam: trial cancellationSurprised ClassPass has 4.8 rating, whilst on Trustpilot their rating is 1.7, and on Reddit people are discussing how ClassPass is scamming their users. 6 months after starting a trial, deleting the app and making sure there’s no Subscriptions in Apple settings, I realized ClassPass has been charging me £65 per month. I reached out to their customer support, and apparently if you create a trial, you cannot JUST cancel — there’s a whole process for it. They have agreed to refund just £260, keeping £130. Reading through reviews of people on Trustpilot and Reddit who have experienced exactly the same, I imagine this is how ClassPass is making money. By charging people when they do not figure out they haven’t cancelled ClassPass..Version: 7.4.0

Beware of cancellation policyIf you cancel your account, the app will remove any outstanding credit on your account before your month is done (yet ClassPass have no issue taking full payment for this period). This is a new customer flow versus what they had previously. I wouldn’t expect Netflix or audible or any other subscription service to do this. When I contacted their customer team it was simply a “you should read the cancellation flow carefully”. I’m disappointed as I’ve advocated for the service in the past and despite me only missing a couple of days to use credit, I’m annoyed about this. The customer definitely doesn’t feel at the heart of their decision making here.Version: 8.1.1

They just want your moneyI am very disappointed with this app! I’ve had it for 3 months and I’ve used it regularly, which was great! But being pregnant I couldn’t keep the pace so I decided to cancel, hoping I could use the remaining credits until I had finished the credits! But the thing is I can’t! So I’ve got around 32 credits that I PAID FOR AND CANT USE!!! Unless I keep subscribing and paying for other months. This is terribly frustrating and wrong because I’ve already paid for those credits and can’t use them!.Version: 9.3.0

Hard to cancel subscriptionHave to cancel via chat and they keep pushing you to try different membership options. To top it all off, have just realised they didn’t even properly cancel my subscription and have been charged for $75 for the past 3 months. Trying to get hold of someone to rectify this is proving very challenging..Version: 4.10.1

Not fit for purpose and bad supportI used Classpass credits to purchase a month pass to a swimming pool. When I got there, the swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Classpass have taken almost two weeks to engage with the support request and have now replied to say they do not give refunds. The swimming pool is still not open and the service is not fit for purpose. My credit card company will likely refund payment because of this, but I shouldn't have to take action like that. The promise of this app is that it is easy and flexible. If a gym is closed or a class cancelled they should be able to liaise with that gym and refund the credits..Version: 8.9.0

Terrible Company & Customer ServicePlease make sure to read all the negative reviews before downloading this app. They do not give out refunds under any circumstances. I booked my first class with them which was for a one hour massage. When I attended my appointment I only received a 30 minute massage and was also told I had to pay despite using credits to book my appointment. I reluctantly paid and contacted them and was told that they couldn’t do anything about it other than give my credits back. I didn’t want to continue my membership after this experience so I requested a refund and was told that even though it was their and the studio’s fault that this occurred I wouldn’t be able to get one. I ended up forcing myself to book more classes just so it wouldn’t go to waste but had to call before every appointment to make sure I wouldn’t be charged. I booked another massage and actually found out from the place that ClassPass had double booked me and another member. Definitely do not recommend them at all - they have terrible customer service and are incredibly disorganised..Version: 7.12.0

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE OR EVEN FREE TRIALThey are fraudulent!!! I signed up for free trial to see what it was, and it is impossible to cancel a membership and customer service does not exist. They keep pulling money from my account, like $90!!! STAY AWAY..Version: 8.16.0

Got charged without notificationIt was my first time trying the app and I thought I was still using the credits from my free trial but already got charged for a membership fee. I wasn't notified of the auto renewal and just found out about the charge after checking my bank statement. The app should provide clearer instructions and in-app or email notifications when the free trial is about to end and auto renewal is about to start. I regret using the app..Version: 9.4.0

Easy to use and very good classesI have not long signed up with class pass from a friends recommendation. The app is very easy to use and I much prefer class pass to move GB. My main reason for signing up to classpass was to attend hot yoga which at the time was free credits enabling me to use my credits for other activities and therefore being very good value for money. As soon as I signed up the yoga classes now cost credits which seem to vary from day to day which would be my only negative feedback..Version: 4.7.0

Be very careful they will take your moneyBe very careful when you sign up for the trial. I have had trouble cancelling the subscription and kept being charged a monthly fee. They will not refund you..Version: 4.21.0

Glitchy + double standard for cancellationI’ve been using ClassPass FOREVER (like, since it launched!) but I find myself getting more annoyed with the platform. Firstly, the search function is terrible - it overlooks certain keywords if they’re part of the business name. If I’m looking up a Pilates studio with “body” in the name, it gives me body sculpting or bodywork options instead. Secondly, there’s no way to report incorrect listings. And most annoying is when you book an beauty or massage appointment and the provider cancels at the last minute - like within an hour or two of the appointment. If we are charged for late cancelling after the 12-hour window, we should also be compensated if a provider cancels on us within the same timeframe. Maybe some extra credits added to our account for having to now rearrange our schedule or find a new appointment to take care of the service we thought was confirmed. Honestly, you’re getting money from both sides, ClassPass — focus on keeping both parties satisfied please!.Version: 8.6.1

Just another Scam TrialJust another scam trial to get a new auto renewals. The trial gets you charged for fake cancellations and then they don’t let you cancel..Version: 9.4.0

Sneaky policies add to additional spendingI had ClassPass for one subscription cycle following the free month. I loved the concept but the overall sneakyness of the app is concerning. I have two main concerns that I would like to address. First, your subscription cancelation policy creates an environment for accidental renewal. Because a cancelation of membership results in an immediate loss of all credits, it forces users to wait until the end of the month to cancel, increasing the chances of customers forgetting and having another charge of a months worth of credits. Second, the cancelation and missed classes fees are misleading. I understand the 12 hour cancelation policy. However, the missed class fee is one that’s not clearly stated and just another scheme to gain more money from customers. You not only lose your credits, but you are charged extra for missing a class. Policies should be more clearly stated. And you are not notified of the charge until days later- without even as much as a notification on the app I was excited to try this app but have been truly disappointed in its policies. I canceled my subscription because I can’t support a company that runs their business like this and I will be encouraging my friends to do the same..Version: 4.15.2

I don’t recommend it !!It’s better for people whose new in the city . Expensive. Would rather pay to go to equinox than this pricy app..Version: 9.1.0

Getting worseI really love classpass and am still on it but like others am feeling really frustrated by the credit model. All credits have gone up and again a lot of these classes are not full which creates a dissonance with the premium purchasing options as a customer when you know it’s not actually full, only the seats available for classpass are. If this was true dynamic pricing it would work better but allowing studios to set high credit floors ends up leaving classes empty I usually compare drop in rates vs credits and so I usually buy direct from the studio now instead of premium when it’s cheaper to do that. In addition the dynamic pricing for credits is frustrating because it makes taking classes with friends harder when we have wildly different credit prices for classes(2 vs 10 for example). I am strongly considering just using MINDBODY instead. I know classpass is making more money with this feature based off the last report on afterclass and studios are happier but this has become harder for consumers. I also don’t enjoy the fact that the number of times you can visit a studio on non-premium is dictated by what type of membership you have. Finally I hate that classpass keeps all of this under wraps and I figure this out talking to my friends .. Thinking this might be my last month....Version: 3.21.1

Forced ReviewThere are a lot of usability issues in this app including annoying pop ups that interrupt the user flow and favorites that are hard to access. But the most irritating of them all is the fact that once I attend a class it forces me to review it (1-5 stars) or to claim that I didn’t attend. Please give users the option to skip this step. Or put it somewhere else entirely. It hinders me from being able to book into my next class quickly. Users shouldn’t be forced to either leave a review or lie about not having attended..Version: 4.15.0

Varied experienceIt depends on where you are located. Only one option in a city of 330,000 and then the classes are relatively cheap but options are limited- not much opportunity to use ClassPass. In bigger cities, more options but the prices then begin to approach or even exceed costs of full membership at gym/studio. You’d then be paying for convenience, particularly if you’re travelling. But you better use what you paid for quickly - only limited number of credits roll over which makes this app more like a data plan than a reliable fitness plan. Despite asking for suspension of account while travelling or sick, ClassPass does occasionally continue to bill and their customer service does not always align with what their policies state (yes, this is a US company after all so they will squeeze a dollar from a dime when given the chance). Update: the “cancel my membership” directions are incorrect in the app. Also, it is relatively simple to purchase classes in the app but to receive support they ask you to jump through hoops (“log in again for personalised service” when you’re already logged in, etc.) Generally, the app is a bit of a mess..Version: 8.4.0

Watch out!I’m debating if I should continue with this app. They are not transparent at all. I had the 60 or so credit plan and was using most credits. I liked the idea of having options for studio classes rather than just sticking to one. I had to decrease my plan after a month of no use for health issues. To my surprise, I lost all credits that i already paid for and there is really no reason. This is a major customer flaw and wonder if it’s legal. While using the app, it’s not simple to navigagte and you have to click to find saved places. Also if you want to just change the time of a class that has enough room for people, it’s just not allowed and you are either charged a ridiculous fee AND lose your credits. So there is really someone really doing sketchy work behind this wanting to keep and fine every penny of the customer. Again, good option bc you have variety but im not sure i will continue. I referred two friends bc of how happy i was to have variety and one had my same issue but wont return bc they kept credits we already paid for. Unethical!.Version: 9.1.0

Do not do it ! Go with mind & bodyWOW what a bad app this is !!!!! False info, limited bookings, credits that are hard to use & your on a auto renewal after 2 weeks trial WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE to get out of! A trial of fine when you have a option to cancel. They have no option instead you have to email them (9 emails later) they talk in riddles so you actually do not know if your membership is cancelled until you say “give me a yes or no answer is my membership cancelled” Even when you thought you have cancelled you haven’t. There’s is about 8 studios on the app that was in my city. Absolutely no point in getting this unless they have options. buying Credits are a option they say rather than have a membership FALSE INFO! They then say you need to have a membership to then use credits which is limited to once class a month. I had to put a block on my credit card to ensure no payment would go through! If I could swear on this review I would on how horrendous this app is and how awful the layout and customer service is. Go with others for the sake of a £2 discount EVEN THAT you have to get a £60 membership with limits to booking! Class app take note your awful and you shouldn’t t be in this field if you do not understand how a trial and cancellation works..Version: 7.1.0

They are fucckin liars. Never get this app!!!!!I AM SO UPSET WITH THIS APP!!!!!! AS SOON AS YOU ENROLL YOUR CREDIT CARD, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE CLASSES THAT I WILL NEVER GO. They will charge you for no reason. It is very hard to contact them to refund. They will give stupid answers which is not even related. And Even if you cancel your account, they withdraw money from your bank account for cancellation fee. How can I go to the classes that I didn’t even book??? This is ridiculous. I wish there will be no more victims like me. Fuuuucccck yooouuu.Version: 5.1.1

Technical issue and customer supportI have been using ClassPass for a few months now and everything was fine, until one day I decide to open my app and I was logged out. I tried logging back in but the app said there was no existing account under that email. That makes no sense because I only have one email and I have been receiving booking confirmations on it the entire time. I reached out to customer support, nothing. I made a new account, and revelry they took money out of my old account which I have no access to. I have emailed, sent live chats, and the competence of the support team is minimum. They disconnecting me as soon as I didn’t reply within a minute. I had to keep re explaining the same issue over and over and them asking me the same generic questions which led to nothing. I believe this is my 6th time reaching out again to get my money back and to finally cancel the other account once and for all..Version: 8.11.0

Way too strict with rules will steal your moneyThey are so rude when it comes to emergencies and having to cancel a class within 12 hours. They will steal your money regardless and tell you there’s nothing they can do. Great app concept but they have to rethink the rules and customer service. Be understanding of your app users and their lives thanks.Version: 9.4.0

ClassPass Concierge is a ScamThis is probably dependent on your area, but dont sign up if you plan on using credits for services like massages and facials. They claim you can use credits for these and they will book with local spas on your behalf but it will never go through and always needs to be “rescheduled.” They are falsely advertising that they have partnerships with these local spas when in fact the spas often dont even know that their services are listed on ClassPass. If you try to “save” credits for these services you’ll basically not be able to book and then loose a number of your credits when you cant use them all on the singular exercise classes before the cycle ends. Then you either have to pay more money to try and roll over your credits (still losing some) or cut your losses and cancel the membership and lose all the credits you had. Lose-lose either way. They likely know exactly what they're doing. The exercise classes they offer are fine but if you dont use all your credits on a consistant basis you’ll get stuck in a cycle of continuing to re-up on credits to try and save some of the ones you lose when you have leftovers at the end of the month..Version: 7.2.2

Don’t useI signed up for a free trial and was then locked into a £69/month subscription. I cancelled and had 60 credits to use. I actually enjoyed having the choice of lots of classes at different gyms. However there was a fault in the app preventing me from booking classes I wanted to attend and they (customer service) refused to give me extra time to use my credits, effectively happy to take my money and not deliver the classes/credits I paid for. Their only suggestion was that I pay for ANOTHER month and they’d roll 10 credits over (I lost 36 credits). Horrible customer experience and no interest in keeping a customer..Version: 4.19.4

Your life is hell if you cancelThey are super hard to work with, I do not recommend ClassPass. They seem to be very desperate to monetize their user base. If you miss a class you paid for, you end up losing more money on it which is nuts. If you cancel, you lose all your credits which is also nuts. To cancel I had to spend 1 hour. It’s incredibly hard to cancel..Version: 8.15.0

DISGUSTING HIDDEN FEESClassPass is great if you never miss a class or have to change your plans for any reason, but for most humans on earth plans need to change. You can’t call anyone from class pass, there is no number, or humans to change bookings. The missed class fee is OUTRAGEOUS at $20?! for a missed class?! And you can’t even reschedule, $15 to reschedule. Horrible, price gouging, exploitation. I used to put up with the disgusting fees because I could travel a lot and use ClassPass as a mobile gym membership, but now that we can’t travel, I wouldn’t waste my money. Join ClassPass if you like giving your money away to people who won’t even speak to you..Version: 5.14.0

Great concept - terrible customer service!Absolutely loved this app to begin with, it’s such a good concept. However... It’s very sneaky how your favorite classes gradually get more expensive (in credits). Also there have been many instances where my friends and I have been charged money for missing classes that we actually attended, or for booking classes that we didn’t ever book in the first place. The people we spoke with in customer services were extremely rude and condescending, and unfortunately I found that ultimately, the negatives outweighed the positives here! I lost a lot of money that I shouldn’t have due to this app..Version: 4.8.1

Good idea in theory, rubbish in realityIt’s borderline impossible to book workout classes on here as available Classpass spaces are so limited and they only release them a week in advance. Turns out lots of these classes still have availability, you just end up having to pay extra to attend. Really bad for beauty bookings; Classpass cancelled bookings I’d made a week prior on the day because they’d double booked me. They then did the same thing again when I booked an alternative service and on a third occasion, had listed a times that weren’t even available. This app is a good idea in theory but terrible in practise. A very effective way to waste £65 a month..Version: 8.6.0

What an absolute unethical nightmareClassPass makes it impossibly hard to cancel your subscription. Attempting to cancel your account will immediately redirect you to a chat room with a sales representative that pushes you to keep using their services. I asked to cancel my subscription and a refund for a cycle that hadn’t started. Additionally, since I had already paid for my current cycles subscription, I asked to keep my current credits so I could use them before the last day of the cycle. What happened was: - they gave me the refund - and they cancelled my account and lost the credits I had already paid for When I complained about this, they proceeded to: - reactivate my account - and charged me again for something that I had already paid for! When I complained about this, they gave me some bs answer that I need an active account to use credits - which I get - but I’m struggling to get my money back since I’ve paid twice for the same credits. I still haven’t resolved the issue but there’s one thing I know: I WILL NEVER EVER USE CLASSPASS AGAIN, AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT NONE OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY USES THIS ABUSIVE SERVICE. GIRL BYE.Version: 4.19.2

Charged my card without authorisationHad a terrible experience! I had heard of ClassPass from a friend and thought it sounded great so I signed up for the trial. About 4 days into the trial my account was blocked and I got an email saying that I had already had a trial previously, absolutely not true (I double checked to make sure I hadn’t signed up before by searching my emails and app downloads) but after I responded and told them I hadn’t I guess they didn’t believe me which was fine. I was annoyed but it wasn’t the end of the world, I cancelled my account, got a confirmation email and everything. Then a month later they charged the card I had used when I signed up for the free trial. Now I was getting more annoyed, emailed them to report it and ask that they refund the money and remove my card details so it can’t happen again. Initially got a response asking for more information l, which I provided then nothing. Still haven’t heard back days later and that’s why I decided to write this review. Maybe now they’ll pay attention..Version: 9.4.0

RobberyIt seems this company is making their money through dodgy app settings which allow you to be charged for months without any use or knowledge of membership. I cancelled my class pass during the first lockdown and they continued to charge me. This has cost almost £600. I have not used it once during this time as I believed it cancelled. There seems to be no way of holding them to account for this. Totally devastating to see a company allowing this to continue in the fall out of a pandemic. Trying to find a way of reporting this so it doesn’t happen to anyone else but be aware..Version: 7.5.0

This is a scamI heard about this app from tiktok and decided to try it. They give you 28 “free” credits when you sign up. So I scheduled a pilates class with that which cost me 6 credits. That would leave me at 22 “free” credits. Afterwards everything I wanted to sign up for I had to unlock by buying a membership. So I bought the $59 membership for 28 credits per month. Once I bought that membership I still had 22 credits. I’ve been going back and forth with their customer service due to this. They stated that one you purchase a membership none of your leftover “free” credits are available(this is not stated before you purchase a membership). So I emailed back saying they should make that clear before customers spend money on the app. They replied saying they would take that into consideration. Afterwards I took it as a loss, but I still only had 22 credits instead of 28. According to them this was because of the Pilates class I purchased(with my free credits). They told me that even though I already used 6 of my “free” credits it was taken out of the credits I purchased. I really hope you read all of this, bc it’s not worth it and seems super scamy to me..Version: 8.2.0

Be aware of £17 or £19 charges to your credit card when you are sickThis company is the most awful company I ever come across! I went down with Covid and was feeling terrible and had to cancel two reservations 11 hours in advance - the company charged me £17 twice and refused to refund me even when I said I can provide evidence of positive test. Super disappointing with inflexibility of approach and treatment of customers. The classes I cancelled 11 hours in advance were not even full - I called the studio and they were fine and said that they are more than happy for me not to attend due to illness! Just appalling approach by ClassPass and their greedy money grabbing attitude to cancellations at all costs whether you are seriously ill or not. Also, they simply don’t post any availability for popular classes at studios like KXU or Barrecore or Pilates so you are better off buying passes directly and forget companies like ClassPass who have draconian policies, do not care about their customers and have zero leniency policy, plus with they you miss out on amazing classes that one can book with KXU directly, for example they do not even show Chris’ Power Yoga at 7pm on Mondays or Wednesday as if it doesn’t exist….Version: 8.6.0

Cancellation feesTheir fines are extortionate and even if the facility is ok to change the reservation, classpass won’t allow it and will charge you £12/£15. As a frequent, almost daily, user, it gives me anxiety to book in advance. Im a single, working Mum and sometimes, things happen! But I want to be able to workout without getting charged double if something happened, compared to how much I use the service, it should be a curtesy to respect their customers. I understand a penalty, but this is just too much now. I will be using facilities directly in future..Version: 7.15.1

Glitchy, Scam AppI was introduced to this app by my girlfriend to book a boxing class - you get a set number of credits you can use throughout the month at a variety of gyms. Seems simple enough, right? Until ClassPass randomly says classes are completely booked even though in reality they aren’t even half full, they charge “premium” prices (~15 credits a class) for seemingly random classes at times throughout the day, and they don’t allow you to choose your bag spot in the class once you book it. You have to speak to employees at the boxing gym to actually assign yourself a bag, and at that point you’re better off booking through the gym directly. I wasn’t even able to assign my own bag because I couldn’t set my correct birthday on classpass, and therefore it wouldn’t sync to my boxing account. I was born on the 14th. When I went to select 14th, the value would jump to the 15th. When I selected the 13th, it would stay on the 13th. Again, I had to go in to the boxing gym to resolve this. With these 15 credits a month classpass is charging, you can only take 3 classes a month for $80. Again, you’ll get a much better rate booking through the gym directly. I’m upset I gave them my credit card information because I’ve heard the cancellation process is difficult as well, and I’m expecting random charges. Avoid and book with a gym directly..Version: 4.8.0

Good concept, scammy payment systemLove the concept but they have now incorrectly billed me at the highest rate twice in a row after trying to cancel (and being told I had successfully done so)..Version: 4.19.2

Inconsistent pricesGreat concept and flexibility. However, the same class at the same time of the week increased significantly in cost (8 credits to 12 credits) just one month after my membership started and fluctuated over a few days (from 12 to 13 credits, to then drops to 11 credits then 10 credits…) It is challenging to build a routine with price inconsistencies..Version: 9.5.0

Annoying feedback featureThe app is good but the range of places and time options are limited. Most annoying part of the app is being forced to rate every session you attend even though if you’ve done it before - only option is to rate the class or say you missed it..Version: 9.5.1

Scamming horrible peopleI have just signed up to ClassPass - got a notification on my phone clicked through via my Home Screen app froze and when trying to get out of this it booked my class for tonight. Immediately went to cancel and it charged me £17! I messaged customer service explained it and they said sorry they are not doing anything about it and that it’s my fault that this happened when their app is glitchy. Have a 5 minute window added where booked classes can be canceled so accidents like this can be fixed! I will NEVER use this app again. They don’t care about people or customers. CAUTION.Version: 8.15.0

Unreliable and a waste of timeUsed to be good but recently it happens a lot that you reserve a class from class pass app but you won’t see in the gym app and gym says you’re not registered. And then a few days after the class ClassPass says the reservation got cancelled lol. Beyond unreliable for me.Version: 9.1.0

A big let downI used ClassPass regularly pre-pandemic and was pretty happy with it. I struggled with getting back into a gym / exercise routine lately and decided to give ClassPass another go (they kept emailing me about rejoining). First surprise was the price increase - jumped from £40 to £65???? Also because the first month is a trial you get 20 free credits but you can only book one class at each place - so if like me you want to go to the same gym or studio every week you simply can’t during your trial, surely I should be able to choose the one that’s more convenient to me location wise and not made to travel?? Also credits required for some of the classes are extortionate - 11 for a 45 min class? And I only have 20? Nah man, really disappointed and needless to say I won’t be renewing nor recommending it to anyone..Version: 7.4.1

Predatory billing practisesIf you use it regularly enough this app can be useful, but the number of places that use is not great and it can really limit your ability to spend all of your credits. additionally the app makes you spend more money to roll your credits over, which is downright predatory. I have almost exclusively lost money to this app. If you know you can use it for the classes you want you can make it worth your while, but don’t let them keep taking money on the hope you’ll be able to spend them next month..Version: 7.15.2

Lost $80- do NOT trust them with your money!I used ClassPass off and on for awhile and loved it! Never had issues until this week. I booked nail appointments with my mom before my wedding twice in one day, but the salon never got a call from them to confirm and somehow ClassPass said I cancelled the appointment. I never did (and could even have the salon vouch for this!) and even have receipts of chats after the time of my appointment asking when concierge was going to call them (my appointment was set for 3, and I have evidence of being on chat with them at 3:30 waiting for the call from ClassPass’ Concierge service). I was told to just wait, but had to either go through with the appointment I set for no cancellation fees or just sit and wait. They stated I was the one that cancelled when I talked with ClassPass but this is NOT true either time. So, I had to pay for the nail appointment on my own AND lost the money on ClassPass (so, I essentially paid double for the appointment- around $80). They have no phone customer support option and essentially stated I was lying about not cancelling my appointments. I cancelled my membership bc of this and never want to use them again! I was on chat with them for hours, followed the steps they told me to do, and lost money because of it. Terrible customer service support. Would not trust them with my money because of this..Version: 8.11.0

Don’t register - you’ll never get outThis company will make you register once and never get out, i.e. keep charging fees but there's no way you can cancel your membership. The cancellation process will first ask you to change plan, if you choose not to you have to clink on a link that get you to read their Help Centre Q&A on how to cancel your membership. Then it will link you back to your account and you will need to go through the above process again until you can actually contact them on a 'Contact Us' page. However, when you choose your message category to 'cancellation inquiry', you can't even type in message anymore. They will ask you to talk to their stuff from a chatbox on their home page. I've been waiting for their chatbox getting online whole day. It was just online, but only the 'manage my plan' option is available 'Cancellation Inquiry' is still offline. This is basically a trap - a company who's confident in their own services will never make the cancellation process this hard..Version: 3.21.0

Wrong informationConsistently erroneous information on the postings - wrong addresses, wrong studios linked up. Both me and another classpass user turned up to the yoga studio that was instagram linked to the session (it even had the right name of the teacher and the name of the class). However the teacher had never signed up to classpass. We had to leave otherwise she wouldn’t have been paid. It was a waste of our time and the other person said she had experienced this a few times, where classpass just throw random information on the postings and probably hope the teacher doesn’t check who’s in the class. I also attended a session where they put he address as a random residential house, when it should’ve been the community building at the end of the road. Lots of issues leading to confusion or in fact classes that don’t exist under classpass. Did not leave a good impression, and considering I was on a free trial I was still pretty annoyed, let alone if I was paying for these. Definitely did not sign up after that experience. Classpass need to do an audit on their postings and make sure they’re not sending customers on wild goose chases to find the right studios, or blatantly lying..Version: 4.16.0

Terrible service ever.Once they say “we need to investigate further. We will reach out to your email. “ This means, they will never work properly, so just forget about it!.Version: 9.5.1

Worst Customer Service and Unheld Terms of UseI tried classpass and wanted to stop after my cycle ended and had prepared to cancel after my last class on the cycle date said on the app. What I didn't realize is that tokens are taken off the cycle of the class date instead of when you booked it and since the app date wasn't clear, thought my class date was within my current cycle. I was charged on my end date (I thought I would be charged the next day after the day had ended). So I asked for a refund. This however isn't even the issue. I went through 3 customer service people and even read through the terms of service 3c "Refund policy". Their argument was that I couldn't get a refund for my $65 charge because tokens from my next cycle were used for that class (which was on the previous cycle's end date). I've restated over and over again that under the terms of use, I qualified under their first condition being that I request a refund within 5 days of my charge. Whenever this happened, the employee wouldn't answer until minutes later when I text "Hello are you still there?". Then they'd respond with the same policy that isn't even written in the refund policy. If a policy isn't written in the terms of use then how can it be used against a refund, especially when I already qualify for the refund??? Wasted $65 on this and 6 hours total of my personal time..Version: 8.11.0
