✓ Performance problems and bad supportI’ve enjoyed playing the game. However, the most recent release 1.3, with its new features brought lag and delays of 15 to 45 seconds where the app becomes unresponsive. The game was fine on my recent generation iPad Pro, until this most recent release made it unplayable. Support recommended clearing cache, which obviously didn’t fix the problem. It’s a shame the developers are trying to ruin my enjoyment with an unplayable experience, and it’s also a shame that their support team is so woefully ill informed about how to help customers..Version: 1.3.0

✓ It’s KINDA fun butIf you don’t pay for certain characters during events, it is impossible to complete the events. I payed about 30 bucks during the first 2 events and completed them in half the time. The last 4 events I haven’t payed anything and hardly got 1/3 through every single time. If you are a completionist, do not download this game, unless you have a lot of money to waste. ✓ SHOVES ADS AND OFFERS IN FACEI graciously gave 2 stars because it’s Archer but they constantly throw offers at you to pay for and want you to link social media. These things are very prompt and directly in view with the game which makes it frustrating because you can’t get rid of them. Also for a very very simple game that literally only requires tapping, they have made it idiotically a landscape mode game where you have to use both hands. Why they decided to make it in such a stupid way is beyond me, clearly the dumbest developers to walk the earth. People who rate this highly are obviously just fanboys with no voice of their own. There are thousands of games exactly like this, just different story and people that don’t subject you to to hold your phone in landscape mode or shove offers and linking social media accounts in your face. ✓ I’m over it.I’ve played to the end and recycled a lot of levels. The game is cool but the adds have gotten out of hand. When I started the adds were fairly tame. Ignore them and hit X one time. Now you’re killing 45 seconds, clicking out 2 times minimum. Some adds just go ahead and open the App Store for you. Spending money on the game doesn’t get you any relief. It actually seems to make them worse. If you could buy your way out of the crappy adds the game would get 5+ stars unfortunately the adds have destroyed the game and I’m over it..Version: 1.9.1
✓ Pretty fun but can sometimes be hard to be without buying micro transactionIt’s a fun game and buying the extras aren’t necessary exactly but I’ve only started playing the game for a couple days now. So, hopefully that won’t change. Any game that cannot be progressed through without buying the micro transactions is not only unethical, but not worth anybody’s time. ✓ Potential is there...I understand that this is a cryptocurrency game but as a fan of the Archer series, I think I would prefer this to have more mechanics similar to that of Fallout Shelter by Bethesda. This game has the potential to be a mobile hit on the AppStore but There is a lot of really pointless tasks to generate more rewards when there should be a REASON for why these rooms have a purpose not just generating random amounts of money. In Fallout Shelter the rooms told you exactly what their intent is for and you can even assign dwellers to learn skills and have a purpose. This would be really cool here because ever agent in Archer game can be versatile and have a different set of skill sets, how about send agents to Dr. Krieger’s lab to learn how to make mes kits for when you send the ISIS field agents on an event/mission or how funny would it be if Pam’s room specifically to train the isis agents hand to hand combat. Assign new agents in Malory’s office. There’s honestly nothing really wrong with the game I just really wished there was more going on, more to do! Overall, I find the grinding in this game fairly addicting to a certain point. Just like most money generating strategy games, you WILL run into a plateau at some point in the game requiring you to make a purchase HOWEVER, you can continue to generate money hence allowing you to earn rewards without even having the app open so it is nice to get some decent rewards in turn for some patience..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Not an idle game, not reallyI love Archer and I love idle games, but this is pretty poorly executed as an idle game. If you’re an Archer fan, the cutscenes are funny and lots of characters from the series. But there is a major issue with the economics in the game. Each time you move to the next operation, you’re back to tapping for resources, which is one thing, but to automate, not only do you pay but you also have to collect a different in game currency AND collect the correct number and type of cards. If you can’t automate it, it’s NOT an idle game. Collecting the cards and cocktails becomes a tedious exercise, because you have to do the same thing the next time you start up from scratch. Only this time with bigger numbers. The number of cocktails you get for each reward is so tiny compared to the number you need, and they can be so infrequent, that it’s hardly worth it in later levels. Unless you fancy dumping large amounts of real-world money into this, it is not really an idle game..Version: 1.0.3

You’d expect them to possibly come from events, but no, the developers only repeat the same five or six events over and over. Nothing new has been added to this game in the months I’ve played nor do I think that they plan on doing so. You have to physically come out of the game, the whole screen freezes. No rewards for you, and dev pockets get lined. Fed up of sending screenshots now, so not bothering with adverts anymore. Impossible to get any decent rewards during special events. Five minutes in and you have people at 331L already compared to your paltry score. It’s intentionally made to reward those who have real money to spend, not just the odd £10 here and there, and everyone else loses out. ✓ The “leaderboard” is fakeThe leaderboard is fake, the app is buggy and lags (except the ads! They never lag), and the game is designed to make you spend money. The leaderboard is completely fake. I can join an event hours after the event has begun (and sometimes only minutes before the event ends) and, somehow, end up on the “leaderboard” about where I’d be if I started at the same time as everyone else. I joined an event a couple of hours before the three day event ended, barely played the game, and somehow got to 68 on the leaderboard. It’s highly improbable that the “leaderboard” is actually real and functional. Events are designed to be frustrating to play if you don’t spend money. I know, that’s par for the course with mobile games, but this game is particularly bad. Some events are nearly impossible to progress in without spending real money. But don’t spend your money, the “leaderboard” is fake, you’re not competing with other players, you’re just competing with the developers of the game. I love Archer, and I wanted to love this game. ✓ Could easily be rated much higher but for one thing.I would give this 4 maybe even 5 stars but there is no way to disable ads. You cannot even pay to disable them, what is worse the ads hijack your audio and the ads are recorded at a very high volume so if you have ear buds in they nearly blow out your ear drums. And then came an October update that was not properly tested which completely broke the game’s ability to load for hundreds of users, and this is only the latest and most severe in a long series of bugs. ✓ 3.5 out of 5 potential for 5/5First off the animations and cutscenes are great. They capture the characters well. I get it's an idle game heavily focused on micro transactions but this one goes too far. Events are literally impossible without spending money. Plus, to get the rare cards you have to finish in the top 2 spots. Rank rewards for events seem incredibly low as well. Every other idle game I never felt like I had to spend money. With this one you can login once or twice an hour and be done in a minute or two after watching some adds. Progress is way too slow. It's nice that we earn coins but you can't use the coins to buy a specific card. For example if you have 4/5 Pam cards you're stuck til RNG gives you the card. Other games you can use some of your coins (currency) to buy that last card and build your upgrade. It's not all bad though. Adding the individual increases to agents gives a new level to upgrading I hadn't previously seen. I hope they can make some balance changes and this is a 5 star game..Version: 1.0.3

The fact that it’s Archer and gang driving the (wafer-thin) story is the only redeeming quality, but you have to read all the dialogue. So it’s less like watching an episode of Archer, and more like watching an episode of Archer on mute with the captions on. Except that it’s way less exciting, and the little excitement you do get is stretched over hours, not condensed into a half-hour. ✓ Rename game to ‘Archer: money grab’Title says it all. Main story progress is easy. To get all the rewards from every operation will take you weeks if not months. Event leaderboards are you against bots. To stay ahead just enough to make you think about spending more money to try and catch up. But just then, the bot ahead will get a sudden, and out of nowhere, massive income spike. You already had to pay around 40-50$ just to automate all the windows. Then you have to pay even more just to make it to the top 3. Money pit cash grab I tell you. Would be actually fun little game to play when you dont have a lot of free time otherwise. ✓ Not idle cos game mechanics offAs others have mentioned the sloppy game mechanics make game progression largely impossible. To make each room auto-generate and thus idle gameplay the requirements increase with every mission. Upgrading characters to level 5/6 costs huge cocktails. I have fifteen odd characters to upgrade and half a dozen rooms but nowhere near the required amount of cocktails to do it. I'm currently stuck with 'collect 120 cards' which I have no chance to do because every room is pretty maxed for my levels, and 'upgrade Boris' despite the fact I have zero fragments, the game has dropped none and he hasn't appeared in the shop for 2 days. Literally impossible to progress. Sloppy cos the game could be good, but you'll be frustrated inside a week. This isn't a F2P versus IAP problem, just bad design..Version: 1.0.4

You tap things, eventually automate them, and are constantly prompted to buy in game (spendable) items for real cash. ✓ Great game, can use some workIt’s a great game, I love the dialogue and mini episodes. I’m giving it lower stars because even tho they “adjusted” the rewards setting, its still the same. It’s also nearly impossible to get alternates for the characters. It’s fun, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it takes forever to get to the next level, even playing the second or third time around. It’s also hard to get the level up materials necessary, so once it took me four days to advance because I had to collect so many of these cocktails to level up all these different things. I know that’s the point of these idle games, but that can get annoying. The little mini adventures they make based on archer episodes are fun. Those are how you get alternates, but you have to get first or second place sometimes out of a 100+ people, and thats impossible. I get that this is a freemium game, so I know they need to keep resources scarce to drive in-app purchases, but the constant need to upgrade the characters to automate things is just too much. I just got Noah 2 missions back, and now to automate his room requires him to go from level 2 to level 7, which is thousands of martinis. It’s possible to need ten thousand martinis to upgrade your characters with every new mission if you want to automate their rooms..Version: 1.6.0

✓ Unclosable addsIt was a fun game, then the adds got out of hand and now…. the advertsiement behavior is getting nuts. when I try to click on the "X" to close the ad, it opens a webpage, trying to go to the app store to download whatever game they are advertising (lately it's been Merge Gardens). I have to exit my browser, go back the Archer game, try to click "X" again... same cycle at least THREE TIMES PER AD. The ads are making the game unplayable. Should be one click to exit ad, period. If this isn't the case, I have to click a double arrow at the top right; watch the advertised app pop up from the App Store, click Done, then click the X to dismiss and go back to game play. Starting on October 3rd or 4th you can’t open the game. You just get a scrambled menu. They put up a post on their Facebook page and said they were “aware” of it, and then recommended to try and uninstall and reinstall, and that MIGHT fix it. Only problem is, if you do that you lose ALL PROGRESS in the game. The unlocked characters are one thing, but all your in game currency that you may or may not have spent real money on is gone too. They haven’t provided even a single whisper of a fix or compensation for players who lost everything for almost a month now. I’m not going to uninstall my app. The devs here seem to have completely given up and put the game on autopilot. I encourage you to go to their Facebook page before you download this game and check the date on their last post. ✓ Update broke the gameThis was a really fun game that I actually spent money on for the last few years. The most recent update (2 days ago at this point) broke the game - literally can’t load - and the devs haven’t done anything other than tell everyone to delete and download again. DEVS HAVE DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT FOR 2 DAYS AND HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO PPL - which if you know anything about mobile games, that’s horrible. Also would like to mention that if you delete and re-download, it still doesn’t fix it for a lot of ppl. And their Facebook page is FULL of ppl who took their advice and lost all content, progress, coins and any real money they spent on the game. I’ll update my review if devs fix it but at this point I’d say to stay away from ALL of their games because this is their approach. ✓ Game is broken(ish) in iOS 17Let me start by saying I really liked this game. I always felt the amount of ads needed to be watched so as to progress in the special operations were a bit excessive, but a necessary evil nonetheless. If you want to stay in the top 50 on the leaderboards you will have to watch every ad that comes your way. It’s actually not as bad as it sounds though. Most ads are fast and some are only 5 seconds long. Since I upgraded to iOS 17 the ads are not working correctly. More than half them will either freeze or just not let you close out of them. Force quitting the game will reset it, but you then lose the reward you should have gained. And without these resources there is no way to progress in the events. This is a shame as I really enjoyed this game and would even spend the occasional $5 to support it. I can’t in good conscience spend money to make up for what is broken in the game though. And from reading other reviews this is a problem that has been going on for months and months…so I am not very optimistic about this being fixed. So to sum up, this is a five star game with a 2 star rating due to the issues I described above..Version: 1.12.0

✓ Used to be funScam game. Their bots are out of control. In the latest event I went from #3 on the leaderboard to 100 something in seconds and several “people” have completed the 4 day event in about 20 minutes. Latest update caused a bug instead of fixing. No response from devs regarding the issue. When the game is irritating instead of entertaining there’s no reason to keep it. 🤷♂️ **edit: It took a week to put out a fix for the bugged update and…<drumroll>…it didn’t work. Dropping review to 1 star. 🤦♂️ Update: They’ve now changed the game play. Game has a variety of 1 day and 4 day events which are most of the fun and all of the rewards. Previously it was possible to complete them with some effort and time management and even rank well for additional rewards. The latest event will be impossible to complete for anyone but the first ranking “player” who is obviously a bot. This was the tipping point going from irritating to deleting the game. No resolution offered except ‘uninstall and reinstall’? Not very helpful in you haven’t created a game login or can’t remember your details, as it totally resets the game. ✓ Becomes virtually impossible at high levelsI’ve made it to level 20, and at this point there is very little fun left in the game due to the upgrade system. At this level I have 8 active rooms with only 2 automated as the remainder require so much currency to upgrade it is not possible to do so without making purchases. As leaving the game on idle to collect money doesn’t work as the unautomated rooms don’t collect. Very disappointing..Version: 1.0.4

Then you’ll start asking yourself why you need to be watching 16 ads an hour so that you can click on a little icon for hours on end between only slightly humorous dialog that you mostly already saw in the TV show. Very short term fun but it’s fun. Whatever you do though, don’t go spending real money in order to win events (you won’t have a chance unless you do). You’ll regret that fast. ✓ Enjoyed till...I was enjoying this game, like lost archer episodes I had not seen. I enjoyed so much I was happy to pay for some of the extra side games and was typically getting all the bonus stuff offered. Then two weekends in a row I was playing the 4 day events and realized even paying for every extra offer (about $50) I was no where close to being able to collect everything available in the event. I looked at leaderboard and saw it was not only me, no one got close to being able to collect all available in these events. In my estimation it would have cost about $200 more dollars to get the rest of the available bonus material available. Sadly all of this upset me and I realized even with money spent I still was subject to commercials. (The commercials is me whining, I typically pay for commercial free if I’m enjoying a game, not an option in this game) I brought this issue up with developer, who did their best to assist. I brought up with Apple and they were a joke in their assistance. In the end I won’t be playing anymore and strongly recommend if you play, play it free. ✓ Fun game but a little money hungryI really enjoy the game (and I love all the jokes etc from the show). My only beef is that every time the special events reset I have to start from scratch rebuilding the characters. So if I spent $5 to build up, say, Arctic Pam—when the event resets I no longer have Arctic Pam and need to either spend another $5 or $10 to power her up or hope o get the character chards during the event. ✓ Character dialogue is good but game is mehThe game itself is rather repetitive and boring. It’s the same thing over and over again. The mini episodes in between the levels are funny and if you are a fan of the show, are worth reading through. The biggest issue I have with the game is that I only see the same two stupid ads and when you don’t want to pay for stuff, you have to watch a ton of ads. I only ever see State of Survival and Prison Tycoon ads and it becomes REALLY annoying after the hundredth time seeing the same 30 second clip. Also, I get push notifications about every few hours to finish the tutorial to open up more gameplay but I can’t find any tutorial to finish. I’m a bunch of levels in and I don’t remember there being any tutorial. Could this be a glitch? ✓ Ad watcher the mobile game.Basically all you’re gonna do is watch an add every time you want to pick the game up. You start out with a bunch of stuff to do but you have to watch an add to upgrade your income which is the whole point of the game. Also you have to watch adds to get resources for your upgrades. So either you pay out the nose for what is just a tap game with Archer cutscenes that aren’t voiced so unless you’re really into Archer to the point you can read in all their voices to nail the delivery you’re not gonna get it. ✓ Pay to play, despite being a good gameTLDR- too much video advertising and too much need/asking to pay for upgrades. Game is great passive fun. Story is funny and very “Archer”. Huuuuuuge draw back is that you either need to pay money , or spend all your coins to remain competitive during the side missions. And wayyyyyy too many necessities to watch video advertising. Some of the side missions even have decent stories. I wish the room and character upgrades remained between the new side missions, but that’s not even a big negative.
