✓ Good game but now come to an endA great game that had now come to an end in my phone as I cannot beat Kansas City/ Columbus/ Springfield/ Wichita without it seems having to spend some real money as no matter what team I pick they are underpowered. ✓ Latest hard mode update so buggyI liked this game until the hard mode update. Everything suddenly doesn’t work. Watching vids to get daily stuff doesn’t register. Crashes during gameplay. Sometimes can’t select the Tower of Babylon. The “x” button to close out of certain screens doesn’t work often - end up having to quit the app altogether just to get to to the main screen. Many visual glitches pop up, sometimes can’t select events button. Also was looking for a way to toggle hard mode off - can’t find a mechanism to to that - not even in the settings. When I try to claim prizes for passing waves in either the daily or in the tower, it crashes. When I try to use the summon button to spend for heroes or trinkets, it crashes. Sometimes when I try to use an ability, it crashes. Sometimes when I shoot a pigeon, it crashes. Sometimes when I need to view an ad/ video, it crashes. So many bugs. ✓ AtrociousNo balance what so ever. Little Rock “an epic character” at fully maxed out gear does about 1/100th of the damage of a level one common character maxed out for seemingly no reason. On her bio it says she’s a boss killer but she does even less damage to bosses. Then don’t get me started on the maps that have 400 levels. I have most characters maxed out with epic gear and getting even to 350 is ridiculous. There’s no amount of cashing in and upgrading rules that’s going to make a difference, there’s no where else to farm or find upgrades once you hit these missions so you basically can’t progress. *update the developers made the game even harder and nerfed a bunch of stuff for no reason. ✓ Absolute money grab!This game expects you to NO MATTER WHAT, watch endless ads that MIGHT give you your reward or it might just make you watch another app or reload the app because it’s stuck loading or glitched. It’s absolute garbage the way they make you play this game. There is no way you can get out of watching ads that might work unless you spend 20 dollars every week to feel like you are actually progressing in the game. I put in around 40 dollars and literally felt like it was all worth 10 dollars due to the fact I still felt I needed to watch ads to actually make a difference on if I beat a city or not. The game it’s self isn’t bad, I wish it was more interactive and involved more strategy but there really isn’t any of that. You just tap things like any other AFK game. There is nothing new here at all. It’s art style is awesome and the way you get equipment and the way they are separated amongst other types of weapons and equipment is nice but it feels pointless do to the fact you just tap and Hope your team will make it. ✓ Needs a few changes/ fix glitchesI have been having persistent issues with glitching. I’d have “hero upgrade cost reduced” but the cost to upgrade stays the same. I’ve had instances where I’d be at level 626, I’ll turn the game off and return later and it put me back to level 619 instead of progressing forward (this happened 3 times). When I reached out to customer service about these issues I was told to update the game (it was already fully updated) and restart it. No help at all. Some Hero’s die too easily (1 hit and they’re gone), some zombies just take hits nonstop with their health bar not even budging & some die with 1 hit, and it’s too difficult to acquire gear, new summons, or upgrade equipment without spending tons of cash. So after you reach a certain stage it loses its playability unless you’re willing to pay! Other than that, pretty good game! It was supper fun to me at first, but it’s been more irritating than not lately and I think it’s because I’m not coughing up dough to progress..Version: 1.9.0
✓ Used to play a lotI played this game religiously like 2 years ago and it was awesome. Just ended up stopping a while ago, not for any particular reason just got busy and deleted it to make room for other things. Redownloaded recently and it’s like a totally different game, as I read in the reviews roughly a year ago this game changed entirely, making it much more pay-to-play based. Honestly I rather just pay for the actual game instead of having to buy anything just in order to beat levels. One day in and I’m at a level that requires two rare heros, but I have no summoning chips and whenever I do get them I exclusively get pieces for the common characters they give you in the beginning. Pretty obviously tailored to make you pay, such a shame too, this game was really fun when it first came out..Version: 2.7.0
✓ Good but frustratingThe update made the game a lot harder. Daily challenges are 50 levels instead of 100, but are now impossible to beat. Also I beat Chicago, but didn’t get the epic sword and it’s nowhere to be found. Finally, there is still a bug where your heroes die from one hit. A zombie comes up to them and hits them once, and they die except for the last hero who never dies. It makes healing useless in this case because their health doesn’t gradually decrease. Tapping is also useless in higher levels because it doesn’t kill anyone..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Too many addDefinitely can be a fun game, but waaaaay too many ads. Shouldnt have to watch 15 30second ads in a 10minute session of playing. I’d play more, but I hate the repetitive ads. Want your free in game reward? Watch an ad. Also, for only playing a few days now, the enemies get too OP too quick. I have 4 epic characters in the same city, and have spent 3 days trying to beat it bc it costs too much to level up one character, one level and it doesnt mean anything because it’s not helping beat the hoard level. ✓ Game was fun but...I’ve Ben playing the game pretty solidly for about 2 months, at least. I know I have now hit a wall, and it’s due to the utter lack of skill, or the complete void of actual gameplay this game requires. I barely eek’d past the level that requires 750 waves to be cleared. And I am 1000% certain, unless I pay tons of really money to buy upgrades/resources, that I will NEVER pass another level, even if I play for another two months and dedicate every possible second to this game. Fact is, it hasn’t been fun for a long while. In the beginning, I was very interactive. As you progress, your involvement in the action becomes increasingly useless. And the ramping mechanism for the hoards scales at an unreasonable rate. I started off that last level absolutely demolishing by a multiple of 1000x. 600 waves later, upgraded my characters as per usual, I’m still destroying the competition. There existed maybe a 10 wave gap where my tapping could have speed things up just a bit, and then nothing. And towards the end, I had to spend every resource I had to juuuuust make it past the final 2 waves. Next level requires an additional 50 waves to be cleared. There’s no way in hell that’ll ever happen. You don’t earn scarce resources, hardly ever. Progression is impossible. Playing the game doesn’t give you the proper resources and even if you spend real money, it won’t buy the missing resources. It was mildly entertaining while it lasted I guess..Version: 1.2.4
✓ Like the idea...but...It’s a great idea and I had fun at the beginning. As I progressed though it started to take so much longer to progress through waves. As an example, I got to the point where I had to beat 150 boss waves before I could finish the level. There are 10 waves to 1 boss wave. So that is 1500 waves you have to complete to finish 1 level. The amount of boss waves dramatically increases as you progress. The point is that it becomes monotonous and just simply takes wayyyyy to long to get anywhere. ✓ Used to work goodThis game started out fun and making progress in the game seemed to be just hard enough to keep it interesting. For whatever reason the update they released has caused the game to continually crash every 30 seconds for me. I now can’t make any more progress from where I’m at and when I contacted the customer service about it they told me to “restart my game” to fix the problem. Not sure if they realize that when the game “crashes” it’s already resetting itself. I reached out again for additional help, but of course they wouldn’t answer me. Upgraded weapons and characters using stuff I’d won and using real $$$ to buy upgrades. After the “144x multiplier” and weapon and troop upgrades. Same level, same troops I can’t reach wave 550. What am I missing here. Don’t waste your money, it’s nothing but theft. It says you’re upgrading things but the results say otherwise. The rewards seem great until you realize how much you need to upgrade your weapons and especially your players. There gets a point in the game when you can’t pass anything because the zombies becomes so overbearing with “rage” and they can easily kill you with one hit. No matter how maxed out your rare weapons are you need legendary weapons to even finish the level. Not only that if your players aren’t maxed out don’t even attempt to try. Every corner you turn it feels like they want you to buy their "in game money" and it's not cheap trust me. Btw if you delete the app to reinstall you lose all the data and have to start over including purchases previously made so that doesn’t help. The daily and weekly challenges are now harder to achieve because you can’t get the necessary items to complete them all now without purchasing the in game currency “twinkies” and you also receive less from the daily runs. ✓ Good game but...This is a great game, but the developers updating it (and skills) without warning is quite annoying. Maddison used to have a great skill that basically meant she one-hit killed when fully upgraded at level 20 (quite hard to do and you have to wait a while). Now she has a small chance to freeze enemies and has reduced damage... Fair enough to change it (it was a bit OP) but tell people it’s happening! Secondly, upgrades don’t always stay applied on my game (especially for Wichita’s Like New skill). The points keep getting removed with no warning. Finally, the number of blueprints you can win is way too small. I get you want people to buy stuff, but even then it works out being like £40 for an epic upgrade....Version: 1.0.1
✓ Just pass on by this oneGame showed potential in the first handful of hours of play. You’ll reach a point pretty quickly where tapping does not meaningfully help, so then you’re back to a plain old idle game. Rewards can be earned while “playing” but it’s like 50 of a mat when you need way more to upgrade items. Characters are upgraded while on missions—the highest level you’ve achieved affects their available skills while the current level affects their performance. Like most idlers, it’s easier to upgrade early, but this game is a little silly with the increased costs. You’ll sometimes upgrade from one tier to the next to find that just the first level in the next tier is 100x the cost you just paid. Because you will auto-advance through waves while not actively playing, zombies will begin to crush your characters so bad that you basically are unable to play at all and must 100% idle. I usually throw $5-$10 minimum to games that manage to entertain me for a bit but I’m glad I didn’t spend any here. The progression feels aggressively anti-player..Version: 2.4.0

✓ Good Game with IssuesIt’s can be a fun game but like others have said the levels are too long. Offline is also super slow. You pass 1 round every 30 seconds but the rounds are mini-rounds that make up each level. For example level 1 has 10 mini rounds so offline really takes 5 minutes to get to level 2. Also new update just nerfed the amount of tokens for Epic heroes you got by doing the story missions but didn’t change anything about the ridiculous amount of levels. Also seems like the stats on classes are weird. Like why do DPS have a higher base health than Tanks and the Tanks have higher base damage than DPS. Doesn’t make sense. Game loses its luster after awhile and seems like a cash grab. *Update: They somehow keep making this game worse. New update basically nerfed rewards again and also brought a ton of bugs. ✓ Unprogessible, great game priorI loved this game. I dont play many mobile games because they cant keep my attention. I love being able to keep this game on and play. The progression was nice. Not too quick but not slow either. That being said since these recent updates I cant do anything in the game except the dailies. I made it to los angeles prior to recent updates with a couple fully upgraded epic weapons and trinkets. Most of my other gear is highly upgraded. I cannot get past Los angeles now.I have tried 5 times and cashed in to upgrade rules and i cant make it any further than the previous time which is around level 1000. The zombies just seem to get outrageous amounts of health compared to damage outputs. I really hope the developers take this into account as it is super frustrating not being able to progress at all. ✓ Frustration!!!I absolutely love this game, but it’s gotten to the point that I just don’t want to play anymore. It’s not worth the time and aggravation anymore. It’s not my WiFi or device - already checked. The past month or so the repeated spontaneous freezing and closing of the app, no ads available, and then if you do get an ad - it crashes. Just this morning I have had to restart this game 9 times. It’s frustrating to have this happen continuously while you are just trying to do the daily activities and trying to gain additional coins, gear etc from the birds. ✓ Update killed the gameWas enjoying playing the game, progression was nice & took some effort to make it through each stage but it was actually possible. Since the last update I’ve been stuck at the same location for because overnight the difficulty ramped up so much it’s impossible to make any progress at all. I spend 1-2 days getting near to the end of the stage, give up & Cash Out. I upgrade what rules I can and run the same stage over & over & over again. Never mind that post update keys, hero summons, tokens & twinkies are seriously hard to come by without venturing into my wallet too. These changes must have been planned because the game hasn’t reverted back to before and/or has not been updated again? ✓ Fun but unrealistic expectations to level upThe game is mindless fun, it requires no skill but will take hours of your time to level up. When you want to earn new items the developers have make it so you have to have the game open for hours to get achievements. Case in point: 30,000 killed zombies. Offline kills don’t count, so you have to have your game open for hours. To get most new heroes it will require you to pay real money, which is dumb as well. This game used to be fun when it was free to get new items and characters, but it was a challenge to obtain, now it’s just “pay is money and you get stuff.” Go buy an Xbox and a game, you will get more out of it for less money in the long run..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Most annoying bugWhen the game starts up the game works fine. I like the little characters and the animations the hiring think work s and so to the keys BUT, if I go offline at all the shop the hire and the chests no longer work. If I get back online it still says I’m offline and I can access which is a drag because I work so hard to get those hires and keys and Twinkie and I can’t do anything with em. ✓ I was enjoying this game up until today...I reached Houston, 3 cities past Atlanta, and I still cannot do Atlanta. I get to stage 257 and can no longer damage the enemies. I worked out I’d have to spend at least 30/50 pounds to upgrade my primary weapons in order to be able to finish Atlanta. The balance in this game is practically non existent. Before this point, it was fun. As of now I think I’ll uninstall it because I don’t support games that leave you no option other than buying obscene amounts of in game cash to progress properly. I’d expect this from some 3rd rate free app that’s riddled with ads but this has ads as it is so I don’t think players should be punished for simply playing..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Need updatesThis game is an awesome game and all that, I have everyone except the best guy now. I do think that the only thing that really needs to be changed and fixed in the game is the fact that you guys don’t announce upcoming events. I wish you guys would put out an email (which we access in game) stating that a certain event is going to happen. That way people have a chance To prepare, before this event happened, I had saved up almost 100 cars from both crates, and I used them because I didn’t think anything was happening, next day I see that there’s an event and we get points by summoning heroes. ✓ Fun but support is lackingThis game is a blast, it definitely helps pass time. However, had an issue with in game purchase. The first time I heard from anyone about my issue was 2 days... I figured this was because it was Thanksgiving weekend. I responded shortly after I received contact, and here it is 4 days later and haven’t heard anything back. Edit** After receiving a notification on here, I decided to email in everything I had sent in through the game support. That was Dec. 8-9, here it is Dec. 15 and the last I heard was Dec 10 notifying me they were looking into my issue. But I have also received an email asking me to rate my satisfaction. No, I’m not satisfied! Nothing has been rectified. Like I put in my response on that email, they are as bad as the VA. String you along until you get frustrated enough to eventually give up. ✓ Fun Game, Large ProblemsI’ve really enjoyed Zombieland Double Tapper. I’ve spent money on weapons, currency and other things. This review would be a 4 or 5 star but lately, on my iPhone 11 Pro there are bugs and glitches. I’m unable to progress on daily and story missions, because when I click the level it shows where I was before the game was idle, effectively wiping the progress. As well as this, the game does not always scale to my screen and top bezel correctly, and I can’t see my stage progress. I hope these problems are fixed and I can change my review.Version: 1.2.1

Something I have noticed which bugs me is the prices for micro transactions. £100 for what seems like it should be £10 at the most, it’s a joke. ✓ I used to love this game, but support awfulThis game used to be great as many others have said, however I’ve lost 75% or more of my daily rewards...literally I click it and it doesn’t add into my total amount. When I let them know they asked for screenshots...I sent them, but they have ignored me for literally 6+ weeks. Saying initially they’d get back to me. I sent the original complaint early December, but now they won’t even respond when I write them...they IGNORE you. I’ve written more than 8 times over 6 weeks, not pestering, but making sure they know I’m still here...again IGNORING me! The last 2 days I was trying to get more game heroes and that glitched big time...again, it won’t even let me download the screenshot now. It lost me 50 hero pieces or whatever they are! I actually did spent money on the game, a lot, actually, more than $100, but they refuse to help.... I’m done and will continue to spread far and wide how awful this game is, how awful their support is, and what a waste of time and money it is. I truly hope they change, but I doubt it...they just hope I’ll go away, but I won’t. If I’ve spent money on something, I deserve a refund, or at least a game that works!.Version: 1.2.3

✓ Ruined the gameThis game is terrible, played it since release pretty consistently until they stuck their grubby little hands into the formula and became greedy, the gameplay was slowed down, the difficulty was increased, the rewards were diminished because they realized people could obtain characters and progress without financial assistance which they must have thought could be monetized greater and they had some fear of missing out, you can no longer purchase heroes with Twinkie’s, you no longer receive resources to upgrade equipment at a rate that is even remotely viable, or trinkets, the drop rate of rare characters has diminished, this game is a highly negative experience and would advise against playing it until they reverse the last 2 updates, this game would greatly benefit from adding gameplay features to attract potential buyers rather than worrying about how to maximize a cash grab, if they are concerned about lack of income they should consider an AD or 2 with moderation rather than slowing down progression, also I would like to add that if you notice every single negative response is met with “our team is constantly tuning difficulty and will take this into consideration” ETC.. if this isn’t proof that they don’t really care then i don’t know what is. This is a game that they need to fix or don’t waste your time!.Version: 1.2.1
✓ Update issuesThe latest update introducing the new hard mode adds a lot to this already fun and entertaining game. Typical idle clicker, but with excellent art and nice narrative. Lots to do and collect. The only problem is major stability issues that now occur after the latest update. Game constantly freezes and crashes often. I think I’ll stop playing till I notice the next update then continue- I do enjoy this game especially as I’m a fan of the movies, but see what you think. If the bugs don’t affect your version, it’s well worth a download..Version: 2.3.6
