✓ Not goodSo I was using kraken for a few weeks trading and sending crypto over when all of a sudden my deposit when missing. Got worried as I’ve made multiple deposits fine without an issue. So I then get in contact with customer support and requested a refund as I was worried where the money had gone. Then out of the blue got told the money is being refunded but my account is being shut down and they couldn’t provide an explanation for it. So now my crypto has no wallet to go to now and I’m stuck in a position where I cannot withdraw my funds to my kraken account as it got closed for security problems with no explanation. ✓ JokersThis app was great to start with it was easy to use in all aspects. I got myself verified and started trading. I was using the app fault free then I got a message saying my account was being closed. It was being closed due to ‘security reasons’ but they aren’t allowed to tell you why or what the reasons were. I had crypto trapped and was told that the account was being closed in 72 hours and to ensure my crypto was taken out. They locked my account and made it very difficult to do that. I started the withdrawal to be told I had to convert my crypto to GBP to withdraw it, I attempted for weeks to do this, spoke to kraken on the phone who were useless, spoke with a variety of people over email over the period of about 2 weeks each person didn’t have a clue what was going on. I had to send screenshots of error messages when trying to convert my crypto to GBP in order to withdraw it. Absolutely rubbish app won’t recommend..Version: 1.63.0
✓ Greatest exchange I’ve used as of nowInside the app just like the overall layout. Shows coins you own of its value in the market at the moment, and show what has the biggest gain or loss. What’s popular and new. The pie chart shows what is being diversified, especially if some coins are being staked. Which brings me to my big question and wishing. Will you be able to input staking inside the app, instead of going on your website to do so. It just be SOOOO much more convenient, I just keep forgetting to stake the coins I buy, just due to the fact I have to login to my computer, login and do all those steps. ✓ Issues establishing payment methodsI had tried to setup two separate banks as the payment method for crypto purchases and both banks refused to allow that from their end. Even with me calling the banks directly and asking probing questions the message was clear that they do not want anything to do with Kraken. I firmly believe that there are a lot more other banks like that as Kraken has been recommending wire transfers and credit cards for funding when I was pressing for answers from their support staff as to why my banks refuse to allow ACHs to Kraken. ✓ Hacking into banking appThe app itself is nice, the functionality is great, they offer low fees and a lot of crypto options. My biggest issue with this app right now, is that every-time I enter in my banking information so I can add money to trade with, I get a notification from my bank a few hours later stating that my account has been locked because there were to many attempts to my security questions. This has never happened to me until I downloaded your app and it makes me wonder how safe and secure this company really claims to be. ✓ SCAM!!!I opened an account and put some money on. It would not let me transfer it. I then got an email saying account closure in 72 hours this morning and to transfer money back to bank account but it won’t let me and comes up with an error. So there going to close my account with my money in for no reason. I can’t contact customer support as apparently there training. ✓ Do Not Use KrakenI never leave reviews, but I made an exception for Kraken. I used the App for 2 weeks and it was fine. Deposits take around 15 minutes and withdrawals to my bank took around 24 hours. (I live in England). The App was easy to use but also lacked some important aspects and depth. The customer support responds but they were unhelpful to me regarding my situation. I made a deposit of 6000 but they randomly closed my account. I am still waiting for the refund…. They gave no explanation as to why and I was left confused until I read the reviews on here. Then I realised many people had the same issue. Kraken is randomly closing their accounts without explaining why. Because I don’t do fraud or anything illegal. I would not advise you to use this App because you can’t deal with a company that behaves in this manner. To feel safe and secure is the most important thing. Especially regarding money. ✓ No support whatsoeverI had a account with kraken until I got locked out for no reason. I called the support line and all I could get was a team will email me. Prior to them locking my account for no reason I added a new debit card and purchased 300$ in btc. Just this morning I went to login and my account was closed so now I’m at risk of being taken for a lot of money as kraken has my debit card information and they stole the 300$ I had on the account they closed for no reason. ✓ STAY AWAY SCAMI had a highly frustrating experience with Kraken. After depositing £600, none of my transactions to my wallets went through. When I reported the issue, they responded by closing my account within 72 hours. On top of this I can not take whatever left of that £600 out also so they took everything off me. Despite multiple attempts, I haven't been able to withdraw the remaining funds, and Kraken's customer service is unresponsive, ignoring all my emails. ✓ Unreliable!Easy to use app BUT be prepared that they can close your account without any explanation. I’m new to this system, downloaded and started to use it. Introduced it to my friends and helped them to set it up. Went on their chat support and asked a question about a bank deposit and it all started from there, received a few security check emails from them asking me several questions including if I have helped anyone and if I have received help from anyone. I am not sure what kind of “security” service Kraken is running that is able to confirm identify (after all those steps) and “open an account” for a user but can not disclose the security reason for “account closure” for the same user! Kraken had us jump thru hoops writing a letter word for word, sign & date then having us hold it up so they could see our hands we had to do this 3 time. This would be fine but it’s not. This should be a scene on Saturday Night Live. Did they think someone had tied us up it’s laughable! But not so funny. Fees are insanely high almost 5% per transaction in terms of buying bitcoin and selling. You get a $10 interac withdrawal fee which is absurd for people who trade lower amounts, and the minimum for wire withdrawal is $1000… Don’t believe the hype the service is garbage and fees are unforgivable. I contacted support on the app, they said they were working on it. Later they sent me an email saying they will only communicate with me through email. I have been chatting support about it and even calls, they told me I'm gonna receive email and should keep an eyes on my email. To my surprise, I received an email letting me know that my account has been closed without letting me withdraw my funds. I would suggest people don't use their company again. I opened an account, i did the verification processes and passed (AU id check confirmed) , funded my account then i added more funds.. they froze the 2nd transaction and when i followed the support process they emailed me and gave me 48 hrs to respond - I didn’t see the email as i was busy with work and they closed my account .. and said they dont provide reasons and kept the initial $250aud funds - they refunded the second transaction and I couldn’t access my account… unbelievable!! Talked to support and found out they changed their tos out of the blue without notifying any of its users that now it takes 3 days ti withdrawl. ✓ It’s a scamKraken is a fraud and a scam. They held my money for weeks and wouldn’t let me withdraw my balance. They then notified me they’d be closing my account in 72 hours due to “security” reasons, but that they couldn’t disclose information why. I was unable to withdraw my balance and their customer support was unhelpful. In the end, I had to copy in PayPal as I wanted them to be aware of Kraken’s fraudulent behaviour. They did not support with investigations but rather asked me to contact the police, fraud agency etc. i can’t access my crypto repayments in my kraken account. ✓ Beware!!!!Kraken contacted me via email to say my account would be closed in 72 hours. I didn’t see the email in that 72 hour window. I had actioned a deposit to my kraken account during that 72 hours and kraken closed my account before I could get my funds out. £500 is in my kraken account and when I’ve tried to contact kraken the customer support team has ignored all my emails. ✓ The most useless crypto walletI implore everyone to stay of this useless and criminal company called Kraken. Once you receive BTC, they will put your account on hold and next thing is, they will write you a message that your account have be closed. They’re so useless and poor customer service. No one should download this useless app. Update to your response: Why on earth will you close someone account without giving the reason?
