Command Browser for Positive User Reviews

Amazing Features, even better supportAs a researcher and phd student, having a fluid and easy to use application to capture my readings at volume is critical. This also flows directly into my daily life in organising interesting articles to share. If you need a product that makes highlighting , categorising and organising seamless then this is the app for you! Something that astounded and surprise me was the support team ! Wow the support team was hands down one of the best, the responsiveness, attention to detail and time of day they spent in troubleshooting my difficulty in synchronising across multiple devices was customer centric to say the least. Special shout-out to Rohanphate who got me over the line for my particular requirements !.Version: 3.7.3

Great appAmazing customer support, team seems to really care about users..Version: 3.0.1

How do I update my original review?I originally gave 3-star for not able to change the search engine. It was hidden. Setting is under Aa and you can choose Duck Duck Go as your default search engine. Now, it is perfect 5-star..Version: 2.5.11

Fantastic toolI started using Command as an occasional browser alternate, just for when I was doing some “serious” reading. I quickly wanted to save and highlight more and more content. It’s a very polished product, much more so than similar indie tools I’ve tried. Command now has a covered spot in my doc, knocking Safari off as my default iOS browser as well. The devs are amazingly eager to make small enhancements and bug fixes too..Version: 2.6.7

Highlighting is Amazing, this is the new PocketThis browser lets you highlight anything on the Internet to read up on or share later. Also let’s you organize your tabs into spaces. Well earned spot on my dock..Version: 1.01

Almost PerfectLove the app only one thing, when I use the copy function it dones carry over so I can paste into other apps or documents on mobile..Version: 3.8.20

Easy to use and incredibly usefulCommand is easy to use and does what it says it do, you can highlight webpages and anotate them. You can also have mutiple journals (notebooks) to organize your notes by topics and keep the webpages that you are reading separated by groups. Also, support via chat is incredibly fast. It honestly took a few seconds for me to get an answer to my question!.Version: 3.5.2

UPDATED: The Browser For The Rest Of UsThe rest of us are: Not casually browsing teh internets or using a browser for mindless empty carbs for your brain. The rest of us utilize the web for more complicated and important needs. We needed a browser that could handle strictly dedicated tab groups. Notes and highlights of website contents. The ability to save and export. Personally, no other browser could handle my web needs. I dive deep into research on multiple subjects. To note, The developer has what it takes and makes to be a role model for the rest in the apple community. Kudos. Proudly paid for this app! UPDATE: Still using command and have watched it grow! The dev is ON TOP of their work, receptive to feedback and easy to contact..Version: 3.9.6

Just qualityA lot of time spent online is meaningless browsing. But a lot of it is not. Command is the browser built for reading that actually matters to you. It is so brilliantly designed and executed that if you made it your default browser you will immediatley notice a change in your own behavior on a daily basis (assume you browse the web from your phone everyday). The principles Command embodies should’ve been the web browsing world’s standard in the first place. If you feel something is broken in web browsing - Command is probably the fix… and it syncs your highlights to the likes of Readwise and Notion. Respect!.Version: 2.0.3

Brilliant on iPadThe developer has been super-responsive and Command has quickly become the best browser for iPad reading. Keyboard support is solid, and the integration with Readwise has finally made note taking reasonable while reading on the web..Version: 2.6.1

Can there be Note Syncing in the future?I’ve been using this for a while, really good, the general user experience is very nice. It has clean and pretty UI, robust utilities to accommodate basically any function one needs from this sort of website collecting/highlighting apps, and it combines all those features into just one app, making the whole process much easier and quicker, doing it better all the other similar apps in my opinion. I’ve only recently heard that it now can integrate with Notion and sync the highlights, which is really convenient for me because I’m a heavy Notion user, and so I started to use this app more frequently now. The syncing function’s good, easy setup, and the syncing is really fast, I like it a lot. The only thing is that it cannot sync the notes taken along with the highlights, which means that I still have to transfer the notes manually to pair off with every individual highlight in Notion, and that hinders the efficiency a bit. Really hope there would be a note syncing function as well in the future updates, just a personal wish..Version: 3.7.9

The best web browser for IPadIf you have any type of learning disability (as I do) this is probably the best browser on the App Store. It’s very easy to digest large chunks of information and focus on the really important bits. This app has helped to make the IPad my go-to device over my laptops. The only issue that I’ve had is occasional crashing ..Version: 2.7.0

IntuitiveThis is a new take on web browsers. Not for everybody but it works great for the targeted audience. Probably the developer should reach out to people by doing some marketing. I’m sure lots of people will like it..Version: 2.5.4

Any possibility of working with M1 Macs?Devs, I really like this app and find it to be incredibly useful on my iPad. For doing research at my desktop, it would be nice to have this browser available as an option to use. I have been using it even though it is not verified. It is mostly working except a few gamebreaking bugs. 1. When you go into a menu and try to go to another deeper menu, it does not recognize the input. (Example: Highlights > Sync Menu) This causes issues with setting up the app for syncing. 2. Resizing the window makes pages render a bit weirdly and inputs will not work when you click on the screen (IE Highlighting) 3. It does not scale the website in the browser itself. Text is smaller than it should be I am not sure what it would take to get it working on the M1 Mac as an offical app, but I feel like this is a good start on some dealbreakers right now. Let me know if you want me to provide screenshots or screencaps so you can see the behavior in action..Version: 2.5.4

The best browser app for iOS.Hands down the best browser I’ve ever used. This is the way you browse the web. I’d give it 10 stars if I could..Version: 2.0.8

A very well thought out and executed appI just downloaded it today and I think it is a really great place for collection. Two suggestions, one maybe add a quick capture for independent fleeting thoughts and could you make it integrate with Roam Research as well as notion?.Version: 2.0.3

Annotating the Web at its FinestThis is definitely the browser / app that I needed. Command allows me to highlight books and articles and directly sync to my RemNote workflow. I can easily tag each highlight to move them later in RemNote. If I could add one feature it would be the ability to separate tags in my RemNote. So if I’m tagging “math” vs “compsci” these would appear in two different documents under the Command Browser Highlights Folder..Version: 2.6

5 Stars for iOS and iPadOS versions wish there was a M1 Mac version... Not just a browser extension. This really is something special and I know it's probably hard to manage a project like this independently or as a small team but I think at this point you should prioritize a native desktop app atleast for M1 Mac's / Apple Silicone in General and I guarantee you will find even more success. I want to replace my current setup of alternative between SigmaOS and Sidekick as my browsers. Would love to just use Command and use Matter App as my Clipping tool..Version: 3.5.8

HighlightsCan’t see highlights in dark mode and reader view and also how do i change the reader view colours?.Version: 3.9.6

Game changerWhile swinging my son on a swing set, I submitted a question to the app (don’t worry he was safely buckled in). Within seconds I got a response and dealt with several issues all while in the park. Very helpful and responsive (not to mention friendly!). On the app itself, whether you’re a student, working or just want to learn more about topics you’re passionate about, this app is indispensable. It’s part of a larger ecosystem of personal knowledge management. It will supercharge you in whatever goal you’re trying to achieve as a student or professional..Version: 2.6.8

Neat browser, UX is a bit wonkyI really like how highlights are a big feature in this browser. It has helped me capture content much more naturally than my other tools. There are some UX problems with using a keyboard on an iPad when focused in the URL bar. I cannot copy the url with command + c. I also cannot use the arrow keys to select a recommended URL from my history. Also, when opening a new tab, the cursor’s focus is not in the URL bar. I’d love to see these interactions fixed. It would make the app work much more seamlessly for me. Overall, awesome product..Version: 2.6.7

Great idea please don't give up on itPlease add M1 support and Mac OS version ty.Version: 3.7.8

Simply IncredibleI have never left a review for any app before today. This app honestly has blown me away from the lightning fast browsing speed to the beautiful UI and animations of the app. The amount of organization is immense and I’m here for the long haul!.Version: 3.8.20

Great for structured internet researchWhat a great tool. It helps me to structure my internet research projects. Would love to see an additional integration for Notability. That would be awesome..Version: 3.3.0

This app is sooo underrated!I’m not sure why this app is so unknown but it has everything it needs and works like a charm!.Version: 3.9.5

You need this appIt’s sleek and intuitive, but also innovative in the way they reimagined how tabs are handled. The Notion integration could not be better. Hands down the simplest quick capture method on the App Store. Great job on this app..Version: 3.6.6

Thanks to the great developerI had written a review about a previous version of a feature. Thanks to the dev’s response I took another look at it and I stand totally corrected. This is now back into my workflow. Thanks so much!.Version: 3.3.4

Shows great promise in the early stagesI’m upgrading my rating. What it does, it does quite well, and the developer is very responsive to feedback..Version: 3.3.5

Essential for research!I’ve been searching for a solution like this for no less than 4 years. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but Command does the job of collecting and organizing information from the internet very well! Thank you!!!.Version: 3.8.9

Fantastic!Great content organiser - particularly to organise information for research projects. I love the ability to highlight sections of web pages not just for my own focus but also to send pages with my highlights to anyone or any app using ios inbuilt share-sheet so I can instantly draw attention to ‘the point’ and reach people who wouldn’t bother reading the full text. I LOVE Command app it has revolutionised my browsing and made my deep and sometimes convoluted journeys on the web easily mappable and manageable so that even the most obscure waves (pages) can be referenced and navigated to again! My only fear is that it will cease to be free in future releases - which is fine I would happily pay a one-off fee - but I’m concerned that they may introduce a damned subscription fee (as is the preferred monetisation model for many these days). I really hope Command app never turns to the darkside (subscriptions) but I would happily pay $10 - $20 once for this app’s functionality. Anyway it’s currently FREE so GET IT! I highly recommend this app!.Version: 3.9

If there was a dark mode I’d use it a lot moreReally great app to integrate highlights with.Version: 3.7.9

It’s my daily driver!Been using this browser daily ever since I downloaded it. Great and fluid experience, very intuitive, and has consistently delivered on what it promised. I especially love the highlighting feature and spaces feature! Has kept my browning very organized.Version: 1.10.5

Great but some feedbackIt’s starting to crash when I try to open the Leaderboard. It would be great to have the ability to adjust the text size and also have a reader view option on web pages..Version: 2.0.1

Great tool for capturing informationIt is a great way for me to retain the information from the articles and web pages I read online. Combine that with the integration with notion and how easy it is to review later. Would highly recommend this product..Version: 2.5.11

Fantastic app and great devs!UPDATE: worked directly with the dev and was able to help troubleshoot the bug below. Everything works as advertised and I look forward to using this app. This app looks and functions fantastically within the trial period. However, it crashes whenever I try to pay for continued use, rendering it literally unusable. I hope this bug gets ironed out soon so I can continue using this otherwise fantastic app! (iPhone 12 Pro user on iOS 14.3).Version: 2.1.7

FinallyWith readwise, this is genuinely a steal! I would love to see a window version, n im sure you guys are working on that. Hope to see that soon on my comp!!.Version: 2.6.4

Loving it since day 1, awesome supportThis is an incredible product built by an incredible indie developer. My first day of driving with it, and I’m loving the experience! The support experience was also amazing — Ash responded within 3 minutes and the issue was pinned and fixed within the next 5..Version: 2.0.0

It really is the better browserThe tabs and spaces layout is a total game-changer. I’ve said goodbye to dozens of cluttered tabs that I forget about revisiting or clearing out on other browsers and welcomed the simple, clean organization that Command offers to users. Couldn’t ask for more..Version: 1.01

AmazingI actually really like this app especially as a student and I definitely think more students and people who enjoy research should use this as it is extremely useful to remember the important parts of the website you are using. My only problem is it does crash ‘sometimes’ not all the time and that I wish it is more accessible for people to use after the 14 days of the free trial. And I also wish the home page is a little bit interesting like news articles when you open the web page or more colour choices but overall I am really enjoying the app a lot..Version: 2.5.7

Search Engine OptionEdit: Despite the developers response that it’s available, changing the search engine is only viable for Safari it looks like. Downloaded in the morning. Paid for license that night. It’s truly a great browser that I’ve been waiting for. Finally, highlighting on the web itself without copying and pasting it somewhere! What lacks greatly is the inability to use other search engines. I’d prefer to use DuckDuckGo instead of Google. Could this be added soon?.Version: 2.5.11

Great for scientific research, but drawbacksFirst, it’s an impressively simple idea but very well done. It allows you to collate information from different sources into a single workflow. Very handy when evaluating different research articles for a single idea/concept/chapter. However, there are some drawbacks that I find frustrating. Despite these, the devs seem keen to make changes according to users, which is promising to see. Good luck. Drawbacks: - PDFs get opened into a smaller window and can be easily clicked off of, which is annoying if you accidentally touch it wrong. Also sometimes the PDF files are unsupported natively and require them to be opened by the inbuilt Preview equivalent on iOS. - Journals cannot be renamed when using an external keyboard. I don’t know if this is a bug, but it is super frustrating, as I have wanted to update my journal title with something more specific, and been unable to do so. (The blue |A symbol next to delete just does nothing when clicked). - Currently no MacOS support (aside from mimicking iOS app in Big Sur), though this is coming, which is nice!.Version: 3.5.2

Great New BrowserI’ve been looking for a mobile browser with this sort of grouping for open tabs. Absolutely love it! Looking forward to using and providing feedback as there are a few small tweaks needed. Keep it up!.Version: 1.01

Fantastic App - so usefulSaw a review of this on DailyTekk on YouTube and decided to give it a go, very happy I did. And the pricing is simple after the free trial, no recurring micro transactions. This will be my most used app easily, I’m finally getting better organised in my research thanks to this app.Version: 3.5.1

Superb, great value for money, well done, developer…Can’t say much more than this. Brilliant app for highlighting articles and saving them to ‘Readwise’. Thank you for a great app at real world prices..Version: 3.8.12

So near yet so far awayFirst of all: I really hope the developer/s will read this. I am a fellow dev (I know the joy and the pain) so my next sentence comes with a grain of salt. This is the way mobile browsing need to be addressed, in my opinion. The pop up system is a leap forward and it is by itself a triple A feature, the tab system is finally usable and snappy and although much will surely be done the overall experience is really great. Kudos. The less nice part of the review follows. - What happened to copy and paste ? Basically, long pressing on a selection or on a text box or input box results (at least here) in a nice small menu with some autoFill option with password and contacts. No copy no paste no share … I looked around especially for copy and paste but still no luck here . Surely I may be looking into the wrong place but still - Blocking files ? Many times, especially when loading viewable files like pdf or when loading files that appears as metadata (like epub) and are not downloaded immediately . It happens when the connection is slow either on my or on server side. Let’s say the file is big and it takes twenty seconds to load: I have no easy way to cancel the loading and the done button does not work. The browser is responsive I mean I can do some kind of random taps and achieve the tab menu and I have the bar loading but still Thanks again.Version: 3.9.6

I like the highlight summary and ability to save web pageI found command via readwise. I like the highlight summary and ability to save web page..Version: 2.5.8

Great app, so easy to save and access highlighted contentSo easy to highlight web content and access again through the journals. It’s great not having to save a pdf of a web page anymore just to add highlights and then end up forgetting where you saved your pdf.Version: 3.4.6
