✓ The update has ruined the gameThis was a very enjoyable game to play until the new update introducing hero’s. Now it has gone to just annoying. Of course I understand that the company needs to make money but the hero’s element has just totally unbalanced the game. Those that pay now are so powerful it’s difficult to get past the first few rounds where the game balances a bit. Then when you do the game just crashes. Twice this evening, after an update that was meantto stop crashes. At least yesterday you could wait to join at a later stage, now it defaults to the home page so you lose all progress. Am seriously thinking about deleting the app. It’s a shame because before the major update I would have paid something as I was enjoying the game. Now it will take a lot for me to give any money to this game as it’s just too frustrating.Version: 2.1.0

✓ Got kicked from a match, can’t open appI got a FaceTime call while playing the game. After the call, I couldn’t get back in the app. It’s been a day later, the app keeps trying to load the game I was kicked from and crashes. Fun game otherwise. Update - Nothing to due with payment. Since I got the FaceTime call, the app was backgrounded. The game probably ended while it was in the background. When I tried to get back in the app, it kept trying to get me back into the game - it was most likely loading a game from the server that didn’t exist any longer. The client/app didn’t handle it gracefully and would close (to the mobile version of the desktop). This resolved itself after about 3 days (I presume the game data was removed from the server and the client stopped trying to load it). Your QA group should try and reproduce..Version: 2.2.2

✓ I like the game but instability is ruining it.I really like the game and even appreciate the introduction of hero’s it has added a different aspect that I actually enjoy. Unfortunately the crashes are ruining my game play. I can be top 5-10 when I can actually play if not higher however if it crashes while you are attempting to buy your team for the next match as it does often then you have no chance. I had two games in a row first I was number 1 the second I was 94 as for the first 3 rounds I was dc’ed trying to get back in. Also what is the point in a league when it is over you remain in exactly the same place with no additional rewards for your place in the previous league? May as well not have a new league at all as far as I can see. Edit: I realise now that the league resets to 4000 if you reach this level. I finished at 3957 haha.Version: 2.0.5

✓ Not a Strategy Game!!The concept is good but I don’t think it Qualifies as a strategy game strategies are consistent tried and true methods used to win by the general in wars however here we are Given random units and limited coin as well as a short timer to pick units and try to form a strategy....maybe if your a super gamer that will memorize every units effects and abilities as well as the synergy’s that’s might be fine but then this game is catering to a very small demographic if I was the owners and developers I would introduce a system that’s let the players at the very least favorite their preferred units and have the ones they have put in their favorites have a higher chance of appearing in the store....in short not a bad game but definitely not a great game and very hard pressed for call it a Strategy game more like lucky dice roll!.Version: 1.3.0

✓ Great... until it became P2WThis was a fantastic game when I first got it, and I mean I LOVED it... it was the best game I had downloaded in a long while. Then along came season 2, and now hey presto! It’s pay to win and no longer fun. I’ve gone from finishing top ten pretty much every time to not being able to get into the top 20. I haven’t changed, so the only variable here is the game. Oh well. I’ll probably end up deleting it soon as I’ve barely played it since the heroes (which you have to pay money to get the best ones, quelle surprise) were introduced. If the playing field ever gets levelled out and becomes fair again (as in it’s not just the players willing to spend the most money winning every time), I might start playing again. I’m not against the developer making money, but I’d literally rather pay to remove ads (for example) than have the game ruined like (in my opinion) it has been by the latest changes..Version: 2.0

✓ Game lost its simplicity in chapter 2I loved this game. And I mean loved. I loved how simple it was. I loved how unique it was. But now with this update... it’s all changed. ✓ Needs some workSeems like a great game at the beginning, but takes absolutely forever due to the ridiculous leveling system in this game. You only increase your level (which gets you more advanced units earlier to pummel noobs with) by being one of the last ones standing. AND you actually LOSE your experience points when your not in the top 50. Can you see how this becomes a game dominated by senior players? Developers please change this stupid feature! Allow me to level up steadily to see the higher powered units and even have a chance of winning without logging mass hours and just hoping for a chance at a good game based on drop rates. Also the spells are worthless most of the time, allow us to gain interest on unused gold between rounds, the first 2 rounds should be damage free rounds. ✓ Fun is goneGame was better before the heroes update. The heroes take the fun and strategy out of the game. Now every game I work to maximize my best hero and I steamroll. It’s repetitive, boring and thoughtless. I’m just watching blips on the screen. I’ll see how high I can get on the ladder and then I’ll uninstall. Hero’s shouldn’t have such a high impact. Each player should get the same pool of starting resources. The hero’s should have no impact on the armies. I would recommend that once you get too six troops the hero’s join the battle if it becomes a one vs one. That way they would have some impact like a tiebreaker but not overpowering..Version: 2.0.5
✓ Very disappointingFirst few games were easy but as soon as I got matched up with people with lvl 5 hero it’s over. It’s not skill that when I win now it’s Rng. Praying to not match up against people have passive that hands down win them the round against people who don’t. You have to grind it out waiting hours to get rewards to hope you get any hero lvl up to 5 or pay for it. I bet this games fun when everyone one is on a lvl playing field but the rough transition to building units and synergies to win to I have this passive that wins me games if you don’t have one. ✓ Shocked by short sighted developersThis is the first mobile game in my entire gaming career I ever really considered comparable to console and pc standards. I was extremely impressed with the balance, and the focus on making a good timely experience with no micro transactions. Well, that all changed. I logged in today to find that instead of the skill and strategy you built up in understanding the game, you now needed to “level up” your pieces outside of game. Essentially, implementing a mechanic by which a played could pay for his meta team comp, and increase their base strength before starting a match. This is regrettably the worst choice I could ever imagine seeing. It takes a game that had potential of being a true genre staple into being a gimmick cash cow that drops the might & magic series back into irrelevance. I’m shocked. There were other ways to implement a payment system if that was the goal and this was by far the worst way. Just when I had hope for mobile gaming, this tragedy occurs. The one game I kept on my phone and looked forward to playing and talking about with friends is now a mockery that I’m embarrassed to even mention. Goodbye Chess Royale. Goodbye Might & Magic franchise. I hope the paycheck is worth it..Version: 2.0

✓ A new updated... dammThis game was great, it was simple, and it was free. Just the game and that was that. Then a new update. At first I was hyped. Then I saw how the massacred my boy. It no longer matter how well you understood the game, it synergies and hero specifics, because now it who’s hero is a higher level! It’s such a shame because this was a really fun little game. If the came up with another way to make money from this game. Perhaps cosmetic or a pay to remove adds it would still hold a place for me. But as it is now it has nothing to do with skill and all to do with who has the cash to get the best and highest level heros. Many of the starter packs are kinda decently priced, but as you delve further into the game you realize a few things.... the devs are gone, essentially non existent, the game progress can not be carried across accounts (get a new phone ur restarting) and once your heroes reach a certain lvl you will consistently be stomped by whales. Mostly the games are filled with non players that just mirror the best players heroes (generally a whale for a few of them) hero lvl play far too much sway in the actual gameplay and one certain hero (sephrinoth) has a grossly overpowering ability. ✓ Bots ruined itI’ve been playing this since it released, and I used to really enjoy the competition. After a certain update, I suddenly was doing much better every game. I consistently get rank 1-5 every time I play now. It’s because every game has a huge bot count to fill the games now. I can see the patterns the bots tend to use, especially earlier in the match, I can see how they all throw out comments at certain times. You’ll notice that dozens and dozens of “players” at high ranks have chosen not to use any of the cosmetics they’ve earned. I understand that some people don’t care, but it’s too many to be realistic. You’ll also notice that the last 4 or 5 people in most games are people who ARE using cosmetics (because they’re the real people that made it to the end). I also assume the bots will be made to blend in better and fight better over time. Anyway I really loved the game aside from the bots - but now it feels like I’m not accomplishing anything every time I win..Version: 1.4.1

NOTHING IS EXPLAINED!! I play chess but this is in no way a chess game. I immediately deleted the game only to realize I didn’t leave a review warning ⚠️ other potential players of this. So I downloaded the game again ONLY TO LEAVE A REVIEW. I expected way better coming from Ubisoft! ✓ Really promising but flawed executionThis game has a lot of potential. I like the large 100 group battles, the artwork is excellent, the classes and themes are great. The only real problem with this game is something that is easily fixable...the gameplay mode. Turns do not last nearly long enough to consider choices properly. All turns should be at least 45 sec if not a minute to give players at least a chance to decide on the best possible choices. Three health is not nearly enough to have a dynamic game experience...it leaves it much more up to simply getting good combinations quickly and ramping up levels immediately rather than picking a well rounded team. 5 or 10 health at least should be a minimum. Also, one very glaring issue with the UI is the sell character button goes right over the right most character board slot. It’s a very obvious issue that should be fixed ASAP. Those are my main complaints that really should be changed immediately. Some other suggestions are to allow more diverse ways to make gold, move the knocked out characters to one side of the loading screen so its easier to tell who is left, and add different game modes (you could simply have many different size games). Stat tracking or a better leaderboard would be great..Version: 1.4.1

Yesterday I got to top 8 with 0 losses and the stupid WiFi symbol appears on the screen and I’ve basically wasted 20 minute just to loose the game. ✓ Has gone full P2WThey sucked us in for months of free play, which was one of the funnest games I’ve played in a long time. We expected P2W to come in - perhaps skins, or different game modes. Nope... heroes that you pay for. So it moved from a game where everyone was on a level playing field, and skill (plus a dose of rng) determined victory - to now being rich kids and their credit cards. This has to be the worst transition to P2W I’ve ever seen. It’s like playing chess, but people can spend money to make all of their pieces move further and take multiple pieces at the same time. Probably had 100+hrs in the game, and now I’ve deleted. I wouldn’t bother - plenty of other great auto chess games out there that aren’t p2w..Version: 2.0

✓ Not very new conceptThis game is very similar to Chess Rush, I like the game as it’s based of M&M but I feel the graphics is hard to see the game play as the while the developers have tried to give the feel of battle ground the background is too busy and so it sometimes hard to tell what piece you have on the board. The game play also become repetitive and is less about skill and more about luck. For example in one game I have been able to accumulate 5 synergies but still got beaten by a person with one. Not only that I have now been playing for over a week and in some games I have tried to see if I can get 3 star but no matter how much I refresh the shop the best I have is two two stars. I know it’s possible to get three star but I guess you have to be very lucky. The developers need to look at balancing and maybe look at games such as Chess Rush to see what they can learn from that. As one review has said I do like the 100 player mode this what makes me come back but I even if you get first place you don’t even get recognition. I wish there was ranking of gold, silver and bronze for how many time you get to finish on top three. I know it is early days so love to see how they develop this game..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Get ready for crashesThis game crashes over and over again with every patch and upgrade. Each match is like 15 minutes if you are making it to top 10 and you work hard to grind away only for it to crash on you and lose your place, trophies and awards. They push everything out before it’s working correctly every time. I previously left a review about the crashes months ago and they removed it. On Discord they just keep saying a fix is coming or we just released a new patch or fix but listen, every time they push a “fix” out, it just crashes in a different time or frequency. I’ve yet to play this game where it didn’t crash. I’ve left bug reports and reviews and asked for my rank points or something to account for the losses from crashing and they have never contacted me back. I’ve given them my discord name and game ID numbers and nothing. They just post in the general message center that they know about it and are working on it. Yea well how about a refund? I haven’t asked for one cause I don’t want to hassle with it. Just be sure if you buy gems or chests then you’ll be an idiot just like me who spent money on a game that won’t stop crashing. ✓ Avoid thisThe game looks amazing, I will give it that. But that’s where any positive feelings about this app ends. Your first step is to assemble your army. There is virtually no description of what any unit is or what it can do. So you just have to purchase your units at random. Then you are immediately tossed into a live match against real opponents. No tutorial, no help system, no explanation for anything. You just sit there and wait for your match to end to see if you won or lost. For some reason, I won my first match. I have no idea why. I don’t know if the units I selected paired well against my opponents or if there is some virtual “die roll” that determines outcomes. I lost my next two matches. But to me it was all the same outcome - each battle is just horribly confusing and you have no control at all over anything. There’s no strategy, no descriptions of anything, no help, no hints. Just a tiny little combat sequence and then you see your result. All in all, it took less than 5 minutes for all of the above and that’s 5 minutes of my life I will never have back. I deleted this app and will NEVER waste my time reinstalling it. The only other positive thing I can add is at least the game was free to download. ✓ Could be betterDon’t get me wrong it’s not that bad but they never really give you much of a tutorial they throw you straight into a match against people who know what to do and the fact that you can go on a 2 losing streak and get pinned against someone on a 4x win streak is just lame like the people who have one chance should just get pinned against the other people who are also on there last turn that way the people who are losing have a chance I was on a losing streak and the last person it gives me to fight already has 5 units while I’m still at 4 which is a huge disadvantage also it needs a way to see units outside of battle cuz I wanna be able to be like oh that unit has a useful skill and be able to come up with strategy outside of a battle where there’s time limit and battle and shouldn’t you be able to merge units when you have two of them and not three game just is hard to get the hang of and it’s harder when you get pinned against someone who knows the game well and already has a good team with synergy also how can people have higher level than you if you gain the same amount of exp if you win or lose.Version: 1.3.0
✓ Do not spent money.No cloud save between PC and mobile means that you would have to buy purchases twice. I also don’t see a way to transfer your mobile account to another device as it doesn’t require you to log into the cloud, meaning you can lose all your purchases if you change devices. Oddly enough the auto chess with most micro transactions doesn’t support multi platform cloud accounts as where other games do. This is just a cash grab, fun one, but exactly what I expected from Ubisoft after playing multiple of their games. PS: This game is mostly bots but that’s not advertised or displayed in any way. ✓ It’s fun butIt’s a fun game but after a few matches you get paired with people who have like 3 level 10 hero’s and then there is you with lvl 1-4 lvl heroes depending how lucky you were with the first boxes u get and then it’s just a horrible grind of always losing constantly because everyone else has synergy benefits from having high level heroes while you don’t so it is not a even playing field whatsoever until you get your heroes leveled up the devs are pretty much saying spend money or grind for a long time barely making any progress whatsoever.Version: 2.0.5
✓ Not bad but not best auto chess. Games go by fast!I play all the auto chess type games….even hearthstone battlegrounds card version. This Game goes goes by fast. It’s Good cuz you don’t have to wait long between each match. And to add to that, you get only 3 deaths and if you’re new to auto chess, you may not have a chance to explore other features or levels in the game. Character art is good but Graphics seem kind of bland like Dota Underlords. Maybe it’s just my tastes. The original Auto Chess and TFT game has more appealing graphics imo. ✓ Localization language settingThis game was easy to pick up and the variety of strategies you can use were fun. Even the art and the 99 people battle was amazing to watch. This newest hero update though makes the game very difficult to play in China since the system is all in Chinese. ✓ Hero System is the worst part of the gameSo here's the thing, I enjoy the game. I just wish that as I get into higher level matches I don't get flattened by someone purely because their hero is a higher level. I wish the strategy aspect of the game was put in a higher regard rather than heroes determining the outcome of most of the early game matches. I think hero abilities and starting units add to the strategy of the game, but I don't see a need for stat boosts to all units. Where I'm at (2000 ish trophies) I'm playing against people with hero levels much higher than mine so my base units consistently have less health and less attack damage. There's no strategy to playing a game longer. I think people should have perks for playing longer, but five percent per increase in stat is ridiculous. If the game made it one percent instead of five there would be a greater emphasis on strategy while still giving veteran players an advantage. I wouldn't mind this because it's a feasible gap to overcome. However in the current meta it's impossible for me to beat someone who's one star unit is equivalent to my two star of the same unit. ✓ Too expensiveGameplay is really fun but progression is really slow. I get it, that’s a free to play game with micro transactions and if you want to progress faster you need to pay some money. But in other games like Might and Magic: Era of Chaos there are a lot of freebies that you feel you are progressing without paying also you can buy things with all range of prices with some going less than a pound. In this game freebies are almost not existent and price tag on boosts is very high and you need lots of boosts to upgrade one hero. You might spend 10 pounds on extra chest but you still won’t get any kind of upgrade. I am not a big spender but I do not have problem with spending here or there but in this game is that you need to spend houndreds for any meaningful upgrades. ✓ What happened with the update?I was loving this game until this last update. The balance of power is way off now. It seems like a coin is flipped to determine who wins. I just had my level 3 and two level 2 piece defeated by a level 3 that was the same character as my level 3. Everyone had the same hero pool and you could beat even top players by picking a good strategy based on what heroes came your way. Now it has gone the p2w route where you open chests to get heroes that are better than the defaults. Unfortunately the developers haven’t kept up on updates as the last one was over a year ago. On top of that they don’t have an account to save your progress! Get a new phone and boom account lost!!! Nearly every game I play has an account so high don’t lose your progress so this is unacceptable!!! Had fun why it lasted. Make sure you are not getting a new device and make sure it doesn’t get deleted from your device as you will lose everything.
