✓ I LOVE IT <3This RPG is sooo cool! The graphics- OMG the best! The map is huge and full of details. Battles are actually fun in this game!! The app is everything that they say it is. The only issue I had was with the usernames- I had to try like 45 different names in order to play, but J guess that’s a good thing because then, it proves that a lot of others play too!! But other than that, I have to say, a wonderful job on the developer’s part. This is probably the best, cutest, RPG I’ve played in a while. ✓ The Anime RPG we deserve!Really immersive and enjoyable! I have been looking for an RPG experience I can dedicate myself to and work on progressing and this is extremely satisfying. I love the character customisation option and the characters are very engaging and easy to grow fond of. ✓ AwesomeAmazing game, I love the graphics and everything. The characters are fun and badass, so you can’t help but fall in love with them. There’s lots of interaction between them too, so you actually get a good story feel. The story itself is really good so far, I haven’t completed it so I’m only on Hard mode, but I think that there should be a little bit of story there (I haven’t finished it, so I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I think just little quips here and there, obviously not as often as during the original story mode). ✓ Great game one issueThis is a great game in general but the characters that you have to pay for go for too much at least in USD. You don’t have to pay for them though if you really want a new character they offer you a monthly login to receive a new character which I find nice! They have at the time of me writing this review two selective voice line languages Korean and Japanese but they have over ten for the game itself. ✓ This is a phone game??Long rant, sorry in advance: I’m just so amazed by this game. I never take phone games seriously, they will never compare to my pc and PS4 games, right? Right?? Wrong. This game has changed my outlook on what is possible for phone games. The art is wonderful, the gameplay is fun- repetitive though, and it really doesn’t require money to enjoy, you can be completely free to play and it almost makes the game... even more enjoyable! How? Simple: The world and characters were so wonderfully written. Lord of Heroes has an incredibly interesting story to tell and characters that will win your heart over, and it does this BETTER than plenty of pc and console games. Taking your time in this game gives you plenty more time to be immersed and really connect more and more with their world. ✓ A gacha… that isn’t a gacha… in a GOOD way.This game is an absolute delight. Instead of being forced to spend hundreds of dollars for a single character, you can get the character by just playing, or just buying them for a flat price. Games like Genshin impact, Honkai impact, Arknights, FGO, and every other gacha could learn a LOT from this setup, because it is amazing. As for gameplay, it’s pretty good by gacha standards, and the character power up system is very in depth and allows for any character to fulfil any major role in combat. If you’ve sworn off gacha games, then I especially recommend you give this game a try, because it revitalized my love for mobile gaming. 5/5..Version: 1.1.102105
✓ Good game but I would make some changesI find lord of heroes a great game with very good looking graphics and a big amount of content however the only possible problem I have with this game is the summoning part.Acquiring summon tokens (linkstones) is very hard as they are rare to find so I would suggest to reward the player with linkstones when playing the story and in events, consequently to keep the games integrity I would suggest lowering the rates of a 5 star from 2% to 0.5% so the player summons more without necessarily getting more 5 stars, also I think it is a good idea for players to be able to summon 4 stars and maybe even 3 stars from summons instead of so many weapons I would say 8% for 4 star and half of the remaining percentage to 3 stars and the other half to weapons . I feel these changes could bring more things to the game and increase the games popularity..Version: 1.3.081607
✓ A truly great game!I’ve been playing games for a long time. Console, PC, MMORPG, and now mobile. What many games have been missing in recent years is a good, gripping story, instead trying to make up for it with flash graphics. This game actually has a story that keeps me interested, and keeps me guessing. ✓ I don’t need to pay for anythingI legit can get through the whole game just by doing the free things offered. The chars recruited are free, some of them you just save up for in game currency, I can save up for armor pulls. And there’s no big characters gacha thing so I focus on all my heroes one at a time and they are super strong! Also the story is super interesting and the avatar you play as is witty and funny so it’s not all sad or serious. These characters have such great personalities that separate them from just ordinary grunts fighting for your kingdom. So far I’m not having anything to complain about! ✓ A showstopperLong story short: This game is extremely considerate to its players and you should definitely give it a try. Longer review below. I was skeptical before downloading the game, thinking that it was either going to be boring or consume my life as I try to obtain good heroes. BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. This game truly lets you play at a relaxed pace with a knowledgable mc rather than a clueless beginner adventurer. You learn about the world through interactions between all the characters in the story which is so much easier to digest than a blurb of text shoved down your throat at the start. I usually always have an extreme distaste for female characters in games but I have yet to dislike a single character in this one and actually find myself genuinely loving every single one of them! And even better, losing in pvp doesn’t just give you reduced rewards like other games out of pity, but they give you exp elixirs instead so you can become stronger and win next time! ✓ Awesome GameI don't understand why people are saying there's a paywall? The whole game can be cleared without paying a dime, you just need the right combo of heroes (preferably ones with immense deals or burst skills that delay the enemy's turn), your high-level gear leveled up fully (only upgrade on fridays, that's the rule), and some well-thought-out skill order (like adjusting/upping the speed of the healers so the party is shielded right before the boss's ultimate skill). Also, get your heroes and your lord as high-level as you can. You don't need money to do that. I don't know, maybe I have a good grip of how to play because I read the how-to posts from Korean players. But seriously, this game is far from impossible to play without money. It's a grind, but it's definitely doable. (If you're looking for mindless games, then this is probably not for you.) Personally, leveling up and beating a previously difficult boss in one chained shot is one of the best things offered about this game. ✓ Just need a few QOL improvementsOverall nice game. I like the graphics, characters and storyline. Just 3 things I wish to improve. 1. The combat power calculation is not very smart. I have a team with 8200 points but still fails on suggested 7100 trials even on manual. The calculation seems to just add up all attributes of a hero without taking into consideration whether some attributes are useful to the hero or not. 2. I am also annoyed that the auto equipment feature does not optimize the equipments' set effects. Managing 6 equipments of each individual hero easily gets frustrating. 3. ✓ Achieved GoalsAfter playing this game for over a week and reading the directors goals in the App Store, they nailed it. I enjoy the personality and diversity of the characters. I appreciate just how pretty the game is. I am a fan of the exact amount of emphasis put on the arena, it’s rewarding if you smash your head against it but the rewards aren’t so OP that you feel obligated to do that. Right now I’ve been biting to get EXP potions, that’s a cool mechanic. They give you a ton of free energy throughout the day. I actually really like that I’ve not been able to beat the normal boss yet, it gives a sense that the characters I’ve come to enjoy and who rolled through the other content really are facing an insurmountable foe, and that’s fun. ✓ Excellent game but unfortunately...This game is an amazing rpg and I had so much fun playing it, but it does have shortcomings. The graphics are beautiful, the story is easily followable and the heroes are diverse in personality and power; They have different versions of the same characters but with tweaked abilities so they aren’t identical. And while there is a gacha system, it’s easily ignorable so if you don’t want to roll it isn’t hard to resist. These aspects make the game great. Unfortunately... This game has one of the WORST progressions I’ve ever seen in an rpg. You can blast through the beginning no problem with the starting characters, but halfway through is when you really have to focus on leveling them. And this is extremely difficult, time consuming, and frustrating. Getting elixirs if a pain because you can farm them, but only a certain amount of times a day, and this is not a large amount. Getting materials for ascension and promotions isn’t a cakewalk either. The bosses are obnoxiously difficult and if you are a p2p player, good luck because they designed the system so you can’t buy the most powerful characters, and a lot of characters have requirements that are hard to achieve with money or not. To conclude, you’ll have plenty of fun playing this game, I assure you, but it will get to the point where you have to either have the patience of Buddha or the money to pay off student loans..Version: 1.1.020205

The graphics are stunning, the developer team is always fixing any small bugs and giving out updates, the storyline is rich and unique, the gameplay is super fun and easy to get used to, and above all, the characters are adorable! I love how they’re not over-sexualized and are treated as actual dynamic people who make jokes, provide insight, and have amazing abilities. They’re extremely likable and I’ve actually learned a lot from them since their perspectives and personalities are so diverse. In this game, we’re exposed to important topics like class discrimination, freedom of will, the importance of individuality, abuse, racial oppression, etc. It’s also a game that’s still incredibly interesting but not addicting, which i think is key for having a fun, healthy lifestyle. Secondly I have never put as much money into a game as much as this, quite generously actually. That being said, it is still free to play friendly, but paying makes the game significantly more enjoyable like unlocking payable only attainable characters. The gameplay is great but it lacks so much content that keeps you playing, especially how awful the energy system allows.. big gripe. Understandably I still consider this game fairly new, but there also needs to be a major rebalance of core game functions, like currencies ie. CLASS RUNES and their attainability. Forget farming that with the drop rates per energy. Please, it pains me to rate this a 3 when I play it every single day and still invest money into it. Game is also smooth, I don’t need to wait an hour for large content download after the initial install. I can feel the heart of production team really goes in. I can’t wait to explore more! Beginner guide was mandatory (to me it’s annoying, as I prefer a free exploration style.) about the alliance (the guild in this game), the inactive alliance are shown (most players are 100 days away) when searching. (I think the algorithm should change a bit for that). In main character design, you can’t rotate around to see what your hair looks like (which is important to me) However, I love how the story sets. It’s just perfect how the characters are and I’m deeply in love. Normally game like this when they push new content, the characters are somehow unified and boring even though the designs are prettier and prettier. The characters in this game has quality. I think I’ll have more to say if I get more into this game and see if it could maintain its players, however I feel I can play until the end and it’s really exciting for me. Ads are restricted to optional rewards and you don’t need to spend a thing to progress or even compete with paid items since you can earn them. Animations and characters look amazing. ✓ Amazing gameI love this game it’s absolutely one of the games I enjoy most. But! It takes up so much storage! I had to lose a contract streak because I’m trying to sort out my storage to play. I now have to pay crystals to renew it. It’s a shame as Lumie is one of my favourite heroes. Like I need 87.9MB more space to be able to play the game again. That is too much. I really don’t want to quit the game but I’m not paying money for more storage when I don’t even use half of the amount I currently have. I’m getting a new phone at Christmas so hopefully I will be able to play again and if not, I’m gonna quit. It’s a shame I’m at a risk of quitting one of my favourite games. Please fix this. ✓ Pretty decent!I have played many games like this in the past so the game mechanics are not too complex but I feel like the tutorial explained things really well. The character design is absolutely gorgeous and the 3D models look pretty solid. I appreciate that the characters have voice lines but I feel like the audio is out of place compared to the bgm? ✓ I love it although grinding for basic material is an issueI recently got this game like 5 days ago and I absolutely fell in love. I already spent around $50 on this. The only problem I have is that resource is become scarce throughout game. My lord is level 8, and I’m having extreme difficulty getting exp pots to level my heroes up. I manage to 5* most of my starter. Now I’m just grinding to level up cause I’m still stuck on normal last stage cause my power too low. Hopefully as I progress I can earn more exp pots. Other than resource issue everything is amazing from gameplay, VA, and features. ✓ My current favorite game!I want to get this out there upfront: this game can be beaten (at least the main story even in extreme difficulty) FTP! That being said, I have spent money in the game to get additional characters, and to help the developers keep up the good work. The story in this game is amazing and wholesome. It isn’t a lewd game and I feel safe letting my 9 year old play (there is violence, but it’s cartoonish and while there is suspense, it’s not threatening). There is a robust PVP component to this game as well as a trial tower that is reset and has new challenges with frequent updates. It will take time to build up and tweak your team, but the progression is worth it, and a lot of the fun is trying out different combinations to try to beat certain bosses or get a better score. There is a gacha system, but it’s for equipment not heroes. If you want a hero, you can spend your resources to get that specific hero. No hoping on bad pull rates. And every hero has value and different skills, although some are definitely more useful than others. No one is unusable. ✓ I’d vote this monarch for president!Love the approach of the protagonist, how he supports his knights and approaches trouble in the world in surrounding countries. Have fun meeting the characters, unfortunately some seem to only be available to buy with real money, but it also means you don’t have summon rates to worry about, just meeting the conditions to recruit or paying the required resources (in game currency or real money for some). Yes there are fights that are a lot harder than preceding fights, it’s not a paywall per say, although the grind for gold to be able to afford promotions or gear can be a lot at times and gold goes so quickly too 😅. Like you may get a few million gold if you play a lot in a week and use bonus stamina from various sources (or selling a cache of farmed equipment can help too)—-each million may be enough for a couple of item enhancings to +15 (if RNG doesn’t hate you) or promoting one hero from 5 to 6 stars. Or purchase 3 skill upgrades 😅. The number of auto repeats increases to a cap of 20 with hero level..Version: 1.1.042008

✓ Fun but huge paywallYou get get through the game by not spending a penny but it’ll take you a long time. Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the game a lot. For example to get to a hard difficulty you beat it on normal by controlling all the countries. The final boss fight on normal is pay to progress to the extreme. Got the boss to 12 bars of hp he used his ult and goes all the way back up to 35 hp bars. Sorry but at least try to hide the pay to progress. Yeah you can say just upgrade but the ring for upgrades are ridiculous at times. Example I upgraded an item from +9 to +12 succeeded once failed 78 times to then succeed one more time. It was only a 3 star item, I can’t imagine what it’ll be for a max star item. Millions of gold gone for nothing because of a poorly designed ring system. You may like this game you may not like it. Up to you but it is a hefty grind. I have my gripes but I still enjoy this game. Maybe I’m a masochist for this style of game who knows.
