✓ Issues with a levelLevel 223 on IOS, there is no solution due to the fact that the hero is directly over lava, and the pull goes in the wrong direction/there is no way to escape the lava and arrows. And the casino advertisement does not work, I cannot exit it after watching..Version: 1.0.11

✓ Decent game. Needs more challenging levels.So like a lot of people I saw this game advertised while playing other games. Ultimately, I decided to give this one a shot since it doesn’t pretend to be a pull the pin game and then turn out to be another matching game. That being said the game is ok. My main criticism is it’s too easy. I think some larger levels, more unique hazards, and more challenging puzzles would really elevate this game. I also want to mention I really appreciate the lack of in-app purchases. I think pay to win ruins games. However, there is an option to remove adds. But the price wasn’t too bad at $2.99 and seemed reasonable. Overall, as long as the developers don’t go too crazy with in-app purchases/advertisements in the future then I think this game has the potential to be a really great puzzle game..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Fun, although the advertising is aggressiveI found out about this game when researching those duplicitous mobile games that use nonexistent gameplay to lure in buyers. So why not just make that game? There's clearly demand. This guy did and it definitely delivers. The only problem is the ads in the free release is way too invasive. Banner ads are fine but forcing people to ingest a video to continue playing (which advertised a game of questionable repute, no less) is a bridge too far and crosses over from pay-to-win to "pay-for-fun". I was probably going to pay anyway and $3 is fair for a game like this but I don't like the method by which it twists your arm..Version: 1.1.4

✓ Great game with a lot of potentialLike most others, I was sick of seeing ads for pull the pin games just to get bamboozled with yet another matching game. I’m glad to have finally found a real one. The graphics are good, the puzzles are fun, and each time I’ve opened the app, I have found myself playing much longer than I planned to. Yes, there were a ton of ads; but guys, the game is free and they have to pay their bills somehow. I went ahead and paid to remove them and it has proven to be the best $2.99 I’ve ever spent. I will echo others saying it would be nice to have some more challenging levels, player options and maybe something to spend coins on. Another thing I would love to see is a way to go back and play past levels in normal mode. It would be awesome to be able to try to beat my scores or just continue to play while waiting for new levels. I’ve made it to level 270 and check back every day for new ones to play. ✓ Fun and addicting, but really easy and shortI breezed through all the main levels and all the mini games in a matter of days. While I’ve been replaying some levels here and there just to kill time, it would be nice if newer and harder levels could be added soon. Overall, though, I’m really glad to finally find a mobile game that works as advertised, with no extraneous things forced in my face. ✓ A very unoffensive Ad-GameComing off of Countmaster, Pull Him Out, and Evony; Hero Rescue is the lesser of all evils. Instead of there being an ad every level; it's 1 in 3. They're generally not longer than 5-10 seconds either. Furthermore; the puzzles aren't terribly taxing yet; but I can appreciate a game that does what it says on the tin without wasting TOO much of my time with ads.Version: 1.1.4

✓ Pretty Solid GameI downloaded the game after seeing a lot of other ads pretending to use this game format, but ended up being something else. Luckily this game is true to what it advertises. Pretty fun to play through when you don’t have a lot of time. When I’m at work and waiting for something to finish, I can pull it out and complete a couple levels. I think if the difficulty was a little higher, I’d enjoy it much more. It’s just too easy to see the solution after about 2 seconds of looking at the level. Otherwise, great game! It scratches that itch I need, it’s smooth, the puzzles are relatively easy while still making me feel like the cogs in my brain are turning. This is literally perfect. As long as you keep making new levels, I’m perfectly satisfied. You did what these other games with misleading ads couldn’t; actually make me want to play their game. ✓ Finale, a strategy game like all the commercials for Homescapes!This is a great game. Only 310 levels at the moment but they say they will be releasing more. Not sure about the coins or the characters. The coins don’t appear to be relevant and there are three characters at the startup that don’t appear to be functional. Would have been nice to have a female warrior/hero. I can’t complain too much as I do like this game but the only female character is a blonde doll/princess peach type, who spends her time tied up and waiting to be rescued. Wouldn’t stop me from buying this but I hope someone makes something similar with a strong black female lead...or maybe you wanna consider this for an update..Version: 1.0.13

✓ Fun but glitchesI was enjoying this game, even tho there are a few glitches that make you have to redo the level. Which was no big deal until I reached level 223. ✓ Thank youI just want to thank you for giving us the game that Hero Wars offers but never gives us. The gameplay is really addictive, original and fun. Sure it does get its constant adverts, but I am very impressed you allowed us to play how to loot. Hero Wars is still false advertising and making new false gameplay adverts, such as trying to kill an orc with toxic waste. You can use that as a new feature. I need to ask, we have been waiting a while for an update for new levels. Can you please notify us when the next few levels will be released please? ✓ The REAL Pull-pin Puzzle GameFinally this is the actual pull-pin puzzle game and not one of those fake ones that if you found this game, you’ve probably already tried those and know what I’m talking about. It’s not perfect though so I’ll go into some pros and cons. Pros: — Plays as advertised. — Pretty fun. Cons: — Not very challenging. (at least not yet) — Needs more levels. Note: I haven’t beat it yet but I’ve played it enough to write a confident review. I usually review after I beat the game but I always end up forgetting. ✓ Lots of puzzlesThis is actually a great game. The main game is pin-pull type puzzles, and then there are about 4 other series of alternate puzzle games. It is very much like 5 games in one app. And they’re all similar types of puzzles that probably appeal to you if you’re into pin pull puzzles. Right now there are 420 levels to the main pin pull series of puzzles. I just beat all of them in the week that I’ve had the app so I’m not sure how often new levels are added. Play as one of 5 knights (you can unlock), solve clever dungeon puzzles, defeat goofy goblins, spiders and a platypus, win treasure chests and rescue the princess. This game is packed with extras too! As of this date, there are 420 regular levels, 80 treasure mode, 80 block mode, 75 sword mode, 70 tower mode, and 50 brain quest levels. ✓ Fun game!I was duped into another game because it advertised a game like this, so when I found Hero Rescue I was thrilled! Fun game, many of the levels do feel a little easy (but once you get past 330 or so they start to get interesting), and I love the secondary levels as an option, too (the treasure mode, tower mode, brain quests, etc). ✓ Trying to be the “pin game” we all want.. ThanksThis is a fun, rough beta-feel that would make it about a 3.5 rating. BUT … This author deserves all of our thanks and credit for (trying to) actually make the game that all of the clickbait (read- Housescapes) app promises in their ad. And for that and the millions of frustrated people suckered in to download those apps that have great ads, but not actually that same they are showing, that makes it worth 5 plus. Now actual review. This is not really ready to be a “killer” game. It is not fully baked. It is buggy, sometimes you do the exact same thing twice and once you die and the next you succeed. Sometimes I see my characters get killed but it gives the annoying first pump and says success. The graphics have an almost 8 bit retro feel. The point system seems random using your “IQ” to show your progress. It has several different “modes” but there sort of overlap. OK you got my point. BUT this is the first decent attempt I have seen to give the kind of pin pulling game we see advertised all over the place but does not exist. Hopefully the author/company will make enough money to re-invest to bring the quality up to the level of a Pro-App. I usually do NOT pay for features in games, but after an hour I happily paid $2.50 to stop the ads. Hoping to help the “good guys” with this. The graphics and animations are simple, but I find them aesthetically pleasing. It's just a little too easy. ✓ Great game but not able to play normal mode again.There are five modes so far: 1. Normal Mode Like the ads you see. 2. Tower Mode You remove bricks to get the treasure chest down to the character (Gabriel, Trevor, or Adrian). 3. Treasure Mode Collect the treasure in the chest by moving pins. 4. Block Mode Kill the ogre without killing your character. 5. Sword Mode Collect the sword and kill all enemies or get to the entrance. My only issue is that more 2-5 can be replayed. I haven’t been able to figure out how to replay mode 1 without removing the app and reinstalling while losing all of your progress. It’s a good way to pass the time but the oversight of not being able to replay the normal mode levels seems like a waste of the developers efforts in making those levels..Version: 1.0.13

✓ Hopelessly addictedI’ve been looking for a game like from the fake ads for other games for awhile and when I came across this I was hopeful but doubtful. I am SO addicted, it is so much fun and just very light-hearted, some of the levels are easy, some are a little more challenging but never to the point where you can’t pass it with a little thought.
