Wonky AFSet up is quite confusing, and keeping it linked to the audio mixer is a frustrating chore that is inconsistent at best. App control for the camera is counter intuitive and so choppy it is unusable. I wish I could plug it in and not use this app..Version: 2.2.10

Got too complicated. Too many modesIt used to be easy. We bought it for none tech people to use. It used to be so so easy to start a stream. Now everything is difficult. Accidentally triggering ‘the trap that is webcam mode’ spoilt one week's stream. Struggling to connect the app to the cam, this is the worst bit and caused another event to fail. Now it’s confusing and unreliable. Keep It Simple Stupid. Sad. Good product spoiled..Version: 3.0.4

Good product Bad AppUnfortunately no option to change network on iOS is available. Camera gets trapped into Hotspot mode and now I’m unable to change it in any Apple device. Seems like wasted £400.00..Version: 4.3.4

They’ve removed the best featureFor some reason Mevo has removed the ability to stream directly to Facebook pages, which was the best thing about it. This mevo it completely useless and irrelevant for businesses wanting to stream content..Version: 3.0.16

Love The Mevo just can’t get it to workI love what’s it’s capable of doing I just can’t get it to do it. It has connection problems it’s difficult to get it connected. So for the most part I just leave it on a stand..Version: 2.0.5

Really frustrating. Cannot update firmware. Stuck.This has not been a good experience. First, my Mevo start constantly would turn off after a few seconds. Then I was directed to the wrong app and could not make anything work. Finally I found the correct app, and after connecting to the camera yet again, it told me I need to do a firmware update. But every time I tried to do the firmware update, it told me that the update failed because the URL was not supported. It would not let me continue until I updated the firmware, but would not let me update the firmware. So basically the camera and the app are useless to me right now..Version: 3.0.7

Lost connection!My House of Worship has used Mevo for the past year or so with little to no problem. However, that changed today. Great ideaApp doesn’t stream to my selected page. App doesn’t alway record video for backup. Did record to backup no audio. Lost all confidence of on camera talent and their guests. I can’t get the Rtmp key from my phone so on location can’t be done for a fix. None stop error message while the show is happening error from Facebook reads: your stream has stopped. There was an issue with the streaming. Select new destination to resume. No, I should need to select a different destination I bought these to stream through the page I selected.?.?.?.?.? No more support for Studio softwareThese cameras where great, once again a company ruins the product with a bogus firmware update! A few updates ago they decided to end support with the Livestream-Vimeo studio software, this is complete bull, these camera worked flawless with the software. Luckily you can still roll back the firmware so they work once again in the software or use NDI, but otherwise this was a stupid decision that makes zero sense, very disappointed!.Version: 3.0.13

FrustratedI’ll start by saying I’m not one to write reviews. This may be the first of my life…My church has been using the MEVO for close to a year and have had very few problems—before today would have probably given the app and camera 4 stars. But this morning I was forced into a firmware update 10 min before the start of our Sunday Service. Not cool. Somehow I was able to complete it, but not in time to troubleshoot a new connectivity issue, and we had to proceed without it—no livestream. I am now unable to connect to the camera through our local WiFi, only through the camera hotspot, which is a problem because it means I can’t connect to other devices on the LAN. Every time I try to connect, the app gives me a message that the camera is not responding. I’ve spent almost all afternoon trying everything I can think of, from connecting through other devices, to factory reset, to reinstalling the firmware update and reinstalling the app, multiple times. No change. Maybe I missed something. Hoping this is a bug that will be fixed with a (very near) future update..Version: 2.4.3

Must Turn-Off WifiHad to turn off Wifi in order for the v2 App to work the first time, then had to upgrade the Mevo firmware. It works now but what a surprise it was for a Mother’s Day video. They should allow more features like on screen text.Version: 2.0.4

Stopped WorkingUpdated the app today (13/11/22) and it won’t run on my iPad Mini anymore. Runs iPadOS 12 (which is given as the requirement) but crashes out. Tried restarting the iPad, it no different. It’s all this iPad is used for - controlling the Mevo Start in the church. Luckily I had another iPad (an iPadPro) with me as it was the Remembrance service. Perhaps it was one update too far..Version: 3.0.15

Poorly written app. Audio input selection difficult to findThe app arbitrarily decided to switch to the inferior built-in mic in the camera instead of what we normally use, a usb mixer into the iPad input. Struggled to find the way to switch it back. Tried the mic icon several times before seeing the mixer settings at the extreme bottom, allowing me to finally mute the Mevo mic we didn’t want. Several other annoying issues with this thing have crept up over the life of ownership of it. I wouldn’t recommend. Nice idea, poorly executed in iOS..Version: 3.0.4

I don’t get all the positive reviewsI bought the Mevo start setup for the supposed ease of use app. Took an entire day trying to connect the cameras having to bounce back between the 2.0 and Multicam apps… finally got them all to work and went to use the system a few days later only to find I had to “setup” the cameras all over again and could nor get them to connect again… huge hassle - excellent concept poor execution. Customer service is very timely and helpful but unless u like trading a ton of emails there is no phone support - also not a plus. Great marketing nifty concept - maybe I’m one of the few with problems I really wanted these to work..Version: 2.6.1

Verification is inefficientI had trouble getting in to stream because I had to verify my email, doesn’t work well when you have 50 iPads.Version: 4.2.1

Garbage UodateApp worked fine till the app and firmware update. Now it’s totally useless. Can update to firmware 2.2.22 or connect to the camera. Plugged in as webcam it now shuts off every 10 min in the middle being plugged in to USB and with full power. Too bad, wasted $400 on the camera and this garbage app..Version: 2.2.11

Primitive and unintuitiveThis app has limited function and is entirely unintuitive. Not to mention the bugs. Connections are never seamless and graphic elements are overly simple and bug out frequently. Would like to connect to the camera straight from the livestream software or otherwise on my pic so I don’t have to use this app anymore..Version: 2.4

App is trashUpon opening the app it immediately hijacks my iPhone so that everything displays horizontally. Furthermore, I cannot close the Mevo app nor switch to another app with traditional swiping techniques. Never connectsThis is a nice little camera, but it NEVER connects and so it is incredibly frustrating to start and stop--let alone make any changes to the camera settings. Another live stream ruinedBoth the app and hardware are stylishly designed and seem to check all the boxes on features, but don’t do it! It’s nice when it works but it is prone to random disconnects with no possibility of reconnecting during the session. This happens even with rock-solid 5GHz WiFi. It’s also strange that the app demands that Location Services be enabled. That has nothing to do with connecting reliably to a WiFi network. If you go for it anyway, make sure you have other cameras at the ready and use OBS so you can cut over in real time when the Mevo quits on you mid-stream..Version: 2.0.5

Works fine, for uncomplicated setupsIf you have one MEVO cam, it works fine and easy to use. Works fine with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. But if you want to have multiple cameras, it can get tricky, even if you have two cameras of the same model. But it improves over time, so I’m confident. BlackMagic system is way superior, but cost a lot more..Version: 2.4.1

Very bad WiFi and Ethernet connectionWhen I can connect, the signal is interrupted, both wifi and ethernet. Sometimes it gives an error and says that Mevo Start is not responding and cannot connect. Well disappointed for a camera of that price. I was hoping it would be as advertised.Version: 2.3

Update NightmareSince the recent update, I’m not able to use the camera. The connection between the app, internet, and camera is very unstable. It will not let me use Ethernet anymore. Just awful..Version: 3.0

Update turned downgradeWe have been using Mevo for several years, and we’re very pleased with its performance and ease of use. We do many recordings of classes and teachings, and we live stream our church services, as well. During many of our teaching classes, we use iPhones or iPads as external microphones to record in different parts of the room for questions and answers. BUT, with this latest firmware update, Mevo has decided to take the external microphone feature away from Mevo users, and now only make it available through a subscription to Mevo Pro. I do not mind the firmware updates, and I actually appreciate them when they add new features and bug fixes, but to do an update to take away a feature that was already offered at no cost, and now charge for it is uncalled for and unprofessional, and very unappreciated. We still like our Mevo but we are very disappointed in this “business” decision to take away features that have been offered at no cost for years and now force users to pay for them. Shame on you Logitech!.Version: 4.2

Camera won't connect to the app after firmware updateWe are in the middle of a volleyball tournament. I am our team's only videographer. I'm using a Mevo Start I bought almost a year ago. Everything has worked really well until the latest firmware update showed up. Now, guess what? The camera has stopped connecting to the app and will not accept a new firmware update. I've reset the camera; I've reset the firmware; I did a hard reset of the camera with the pin hole reset button. Nothing has changed. It's like the camera is frozen, and won't communicate with anything. Logitech's reputation is on the line here. I'm stuck in the middle of a tournament with the only recording device available to capture the footage we need for coaches and players to review for the next, larger tournament and with the buggy firmware update, the Mevo is no better than a $400 brick. One would think that for a multimillion dollar international corporation something as simple as firmware updates would be worked out, then tested in advance so that bugs in connectivity controls would be the least of the issues. One would think. MEVO is all about being a content streaming system that connects the camera to the audience on a variety of wifi, social media and internet platforms through a robust app and software protocol. Very disappointing..Version: 4.1

This App Doesn’t WorkWe’ve had our Mevo for some time. Before the move out 2 .0. We previously used the app title “Mevo” which still works fine except that it keeps sending me a message saying that this is a legacy app please use the app “Mevo 2.0”. But when I try using the app it connects to the camera but then says that there is a firmware update required, but then begins trying to upload the firmware and runs into an error. This happened in the middle of an event of which I tested the camera the day before using the old app. During the event it wouldn’t let me use the old app and told me to download the new app and I did and it failed in the middle of an event... for $700 I expected this camera to be reliable but with every turn there seems to be a problem..Version: 2.4.1

A bug?I think the app got a bug. I am trying to get a static frame but the camera is zooming in and out by itself. This is affecting my live streaming. It seems like there is no way to control the camera right now. I am not using the find faces or live follow option, and yet, it is acting up. Please, fix it as soon as possible.Version: 2.0.5

Laungage problem.I was trying to use Vimeo producer on Mevo app. but i just found it out, for caption writing, mevo app support only English? looks like i can't type any other laungage except english for caption and mevo app can't read other lauguage?.Version: 2.0.5

Works okay but........Been using the older version of the app on my iPhone. Downloaded 2.0 for my iPad, but every time I try and login to my Vimeo producer account using my email address it doesn’t work. Idk what to do, I was really looking forward to use it with my iPad.
