Apple COVID-19 for Positive User Reviews

Took 2 minutesVery fast app and super easy interface. You can even put in symptoms for another person (like your child or grandparent) to get instant results. App asks multiple choice questions in a very non-intrusive way and by assessing the granular details using some nice AI, they are able to “more” accurately give recommendations on its diagnosis..Version: 1.0.1

Great AppLove it so far and sharing it with my family and friends. Is it possible to use geofencing to warn users and contacts that someone has left their home location and prompt a “Stay in Place” alert tone for the user and a message an order from the local authorities. Thanks for the great work on this app..Version: 1.0.2

Good idea.I had gone thru the process of the questions. I feel there are some things that could be missing. My wife works at the hospital near where we live. She had been working on one of the only floors that treat both rules out and and positive COVID-19 patients. I feel there should be a question that covers the possible exposure from the spouse that works in a facility that treats COVID-19. We do everything we can to prevent the spread but the data could be much more reliable in that case. I had to answer I don’t know on a few for that reason. Besides that this app is very nicely designed. Thank you for helping inform the masses and help to prevent the surge of unnecessary exposures!.Version: 2.2

It may help peopleNeeds to be a little clearer. I have a heart condition but isn’t congestive heart failure, does that mean I’m not in the higher risk category? I was under the impression I am. And the exposure questions, nobody can say for sure that they haven’t been around a sick person unless they’ve been in a cave the last few months. I had a cashier at a big chain store cough in my face last week. She didn’t have a big red sign saying she was sick so I guess I’ll be just fine. I do applaud the effort of the app though. I think it will ultimately benefit society..Version: 1.0.2

Wonderful App to Help Get Out in Front of Covid-19It is a nice app that allows to to see what to look for in symptoms. So, I shared with family members who have Apple devices. Better than what our Federal government is doing. Not sure I can handle much more of their misinformation & blather. Thanks for doing something Apple. Physical distancing, washing hands, not touching face, stay home unless venturing out solo is key. Stay healthy. Stay sane. Be smart..Version: 1.0.2

It is an improvementIn recent times, when the mortality and morbidity rates get higher by the day in Ibadan although not as high as in the New York the improved app helps us in remote areas in our country Nigeria, to get informed adequately on the new way to fight the virus. After downloading the app, I used it on myself and found I was alright and healthy but on using it for a Neighbour, NCDC was contacted immediately because he has few symptoms which the app detected from the questions asked. The app is ok for me and I recommend same for all and sundry..Version: 2.0

Great ToolI agree with the last comment, this app is not a cure but it is a great way to reduce panic. It is the flu season and people with the flu or even a common cold can get confused with the coronavirus. People, it is not the time to point out faults, it is the time to utilize anything that is useful. Maybe there are other apps that have useful features that this app does not have, but ask yourself, have you ever been perfect, nothing is. Anybody trying to help in any way, big or small should be supported...together we can protect others and ourselves..Version: 1.0.2

PLEASE STAY HOME TO PREVENT SPREADINGThis app is filled full of information that is verified true so it’s really important to read all of this. however i can not stress how important it is to stay home! you can go on walks but please please PLEASE don’t hang out with friends or anything because this is how COVID-19 spreads faster. that is the one and ONLY downside of this app, is that it doesn’t really stress how important it is to stay home please stay home and stay safe and soon this will all be over :) -VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.Version: 1.0.2

GreatTo all the people freaking out about how it tells you to call 911 because of difficulty waking up what I means is that if you are experiencing greater difficulties waking up than normal that can be life threatening. For the people that are not getting past the first screen that is because you have one of the potentially life threatening symptoms and that you should call 911 instead of doing the self screening..Version: 1.0.2

COVID19 APPThank you Apple for creating this valuable tool that will get much needed science/ data based information to the public. It is very neat and easy to navigate! So user friendly!! As a retired medical professional I am so proud to see Apple join the fight doing their best to provide accurate information and tools the people can easily access!.Version: 1.0.2

InformativeI really appreciate how informative this app is- especially while being surrounded by so much uncertainty at this time. I’ve heard conflicting advice from different people, but I trust the information on this app, as it comes directly from the CDC. It helps to be kept up-to-date on the latest reports, state orders, etc..Version: 2.0

Fast and easy!Great quick resource for information that I have have numerous people ask me about. As a health care provider, I have a lot of people under my care, many of whom do not have the best health. It is so important that they have guidance to help them understand when they need additional care. This app appears to have those tools, and I will be recommending it to those I am in communication with. Thank you for helping in the fight!.Version: 1.0.1

Great first line analysis tool! The purpose of this app is to evaluate your current health and situation, and provides a *recommendation* based on your answers. The questions and evaluations were developed by the CDC, and this is a FANTASTIC way to reduce the load on the folks giving the tests. I appreciate Apple doing this. This is a great service. Any complaints should go straight to the circular file cabinet....Version: 1.0.2

Very Helpful and Clean UIA wonderful yet simple app to help people who may be unsure or simply would like more information on the SARS COV 2 virus and to see if they are at risk of contracting COVID 19. If we all do our part and make the difficult chooses now of staying indoors and supporting our health care workers we can get through this. And this lovely app is just one way to make sure you are doing the right thing..Version: 1.0.2

Literally life savingI have been unable to get a test even though I have been exposed and am having symptoms. This app helped me assess, find a facility to get tested at, and arrange an appointment in less than 20 minutes. I was able to set an appointment for less than 24 hours from downloading the app and I am SO thankful! Definitely a good app and positively fantastic. Easy to use, sensible, and to the point..Version: 4.0.1

This tool should be the SCREENING toolLike everyone else I have been worrying about this COVID 19 virus and hesitant to not knowing how and when to decide you need to go for a test. This tool was extremely useful for a self screening and know when to seek testing when you hit any of the symptoms that you have to choose for a simple decision making process..Version: 1.0.2

Very Useful App👌This app is just beyond useful and amazing. They could’ve added more to it, but overall it’s great. It helped me to see if my mom should get tested or not for COVID-19. Thankfully, she shouldn’t, but the app helped me tell that she should self isolate. This app is just amazing. Great tools and questions that help you out a lot. Everyone needs this right now. Great Job👌👌👌.Version: 2.0

Contact Tracing —> color changing lock screenHave you guys considered changing the background of the user lock screen based on symptoms and who people have come into contact with (Bluetooth or WiFi access to other phones)? (i.e. green = no symptoms/no contact, yellow = some symptoms/some contact, red = in hospital, on a gradient ) Just a thought 🤷🏾‍♀️.Version: 3.0

Great app but…I like this app (as long as people aren’t using it as a medical advice app, because it is not that), but personally I do like the idea of it. But I have yet been able to “screen” because as soon as it asks if I’ve “traveled outside of the country”, and I say “no”, it freezes. I can’t go any further. So I assume it’s a bug in the app. And I’ll wait for an update. I just hope others do not replace this for actual medical advice..Version: 1.0.2

Excellent app, even if it just came outI will say, I praise Apple for even thinking of this in the first place; many people might not know what to do without this. So I will give it to Apple in that sense. I am currently having an issue with it on my iPad Pro 2019- it only displays itself in portrait mode, and I prefer it in landscape mode because of my keyboard case. So, when it is updated to support landscape mode, I will change it to 5 stars..Version: 1.1

Covid-19I am very thankful that Apple has made this app for us to help us, I was stressing out about it at first but is anybody not gonna talk about the fact that it says 4+ but when you put your real age and your under 18 it says you must be 18?! No offense I love this app so far it’s pretty good it’s helped me I’m staying home for like my whole life until this is over. But thankyou Apple for this! People say Apple is not good but they can’t get this app to help them out. So Apple is pretty good TYSM Apple for helping me and calming my anxiety with this pandemic TYSM I will be part of the Apple family forever 💖.Version: 2.2

Good but there’s a major flawGreat app, and potentially a model for more broadly addressing a range of public health needs. Unfortunately, in the case of this outbreak, the app falls flat on one of its main requirements. Perhaps the most important question is, have you been in contact with someone with COVID-19? The app assumes you know and asks only about people who have been tested. But there’s a lack of testing available in the US. I suspect my family has the disease but we are recovering nicely, and just need to self-isolate as a result. That means no testing for us. Without access to testing, there’s no way to know for certain if we have this particular virus or something else. So you’ve got a questionnaire that blithely assumes testing is widely available, being completed by a community suffering from a dearth of testing. Not ideal. Anyway, great work on the app..Version: 1.0.1

Medical professionals aren’t the only ones at risk.Great app. good source of info and a good way to settle worries. HOWEVER. i work in fast food. and there aren’t any options on here to assess the risk i’m at because i’m not a health care worker, even though i’m in a very public space with several hundred strangers for 40 hours a week. this is a good start, i just wish that public workers outside the medical community could be included..Version: 2.0

Much betterThe app is night and day better than the initial ridiculous release. Apple, next time please don’t release an app before it is anywhere near ready. It looks really good now and has nice easy interface and decision map. Good job. Now build it into the device lock screen to force people to answer before they can use their phones, wishful thinking..Version: 2.2

Basic but usefulThis app was updated today, so I was finally able to use it. It is a handy way to go through the questions you need to ask yourself to determine what to do according to the latest governance rules. For myself, I am going to be sure to use a homemade mask before I leave my home, I believe everyone should. Leave the commercial masks to medical professionals, but mask up. The countries with the lowest transmissions are the countries that masked up!.Version: 1.1

Impressed Incident CommanderAs the COVID-19 Incident Commander at a Healthcare System I have been shocked by how other agencies are distorting the best practice recommendations for COVID-19. But I regained hope in humanity’s ability to process written information once again. Apple got it right with this app! I’ve held back from banging my head against the proverbial wall as I’ve talked to Daycare’s, schools, and businesses. I’ve supported one too many organizations who read one or two lines of a multilevel recommendation system creating unnecessary and unhelpful red tape. This app is accurate and helpful. I will recommend this to everyone I know..Version: 4.2

Please indicate if more questions are hidden. At least on my iPhone 11Pro Max, the question asking if I am “experiencing any of these symptoms “ the box “Aching throughout the body” ends with enough amount of space between it and the Next Question box that it seems there aren’t any more.. though hidden are two more questions. Please do a better job of identifying hidden boxes. I know  is loathe to indicate a scroll bar, but something is needed to prompt the user that there is more to discover..Version: 1.0.2

One thing left outThere’s one question left out that I ask my patients. It asks if you have traveled but not if you have been around anyone that has traveled. I usually ask that question when I triage. You would be surprised how many people have not left the parish but have had family that live with them or visit that just came back from New Orleans or other hot spots..Version: 1.0.2

Lol There aren’t enough tests.... give them an app! This is helpful for people who aren’t familiar with the virus, especially in areas where there is still a strong feeling that it won’t ever be as bad as it is else where.. that never here mentality, but the reality is there aren’t enough actual tests and people who need tests aren’t getting them because there is such a limited number. This feels pandering while watching people die because of lack of medical supplies..Version: 1.0.1

Missed FeatureI'm 66 and retired. My wife works in a hospital 6 or 7 days a week. Sometimes, 10 days in a row before a day off. She never gets sick that I have seen in 30+ years of marriage. Read, asymptomatic for everything. Truly a remarkable human being. I feel there should be an question "Do you live with a health care provider or hospital employee?" I think the question is germane. What do I know?.Version: 2.0

Thanks to Apple, White House CDCI’m using the app to get the latest info on COVID-19 pandemic. It’s filled with useful ‘common sense’ hygiene tips, symptomatic guides, as well as data provided by CDC website. It allows me to keep up with areas where I have family and friends. Thanks to Apple, Tim Cook, President Trump, White House entire task force, CDC for creating a simple user friendly app for everyone to use. By working together they put out an app that provides updates everyone should appreciate. We all can make a difference as we battle a killer virus. I have no doubt we’ll win this COVID-19 war. It’s up to everyone to do their part. If healthcare personnel, trucking transport, Nation Guard, & grocery store personnel, everyone one the frontlines do their best everyday, I’m sure I can do my part..Version: 1.1
