I appreciate the free time limited boosts offered, but it really annoys me that when you accept it, by the time you actually get to use it, the time is less than 5 minutes as a result of all the pop ups that occur in this game. ✓ Impossible levelsI enjoy this game but it is so frustrating that there are impossible levels. You can get all perfect “green” scores and still not win a level. Also, all upgrades have been purchased and this still occurs. Please fix this. Edit: I changed to 1 star after reading all of these terrible developer responses. Clearly something is wrong with your game and you are choosing to ignore it. Also there is no easy way to reach out to you besides writing a review. I’m talking about a level on the first hotel which I constantly have to go back to in order to get boosters. And you may get one booster after playing 10 levels. But sometimes even after playing a perfect game on the first hotel it will not let you win. And you have to continue to play it until they allow you to earn enough money in that level or use a double money booster. Even though all upgrades have been purchased. I understand making a game difficult so that people enjoy it more and it doesn’t get boring but making it impossible without a booster every 3 or 4 levels is just ridiculous. ✓ Impossible at higher levelsI loved this game the first several levels. Once I got to the second section of hotels to the Royal Flower Hotel the upgrades are filled 100% you can not win the levels without spending lots of extras. Even when you use the upgrade that speeds up the main characters, at least 10 of the firecracker keep you happy and 10 of the Genie Lamp clean the rooms you can not even finish the level let alone fulfill all the tasks required to pass the level. The graphics are beautiful and it does play well but it is difficult after the very first hotel Golden Apple to go very far without a bunch of upgrades or gems. Through the other hotels I was just patient and kept playing but now that I am in the Hotel Royal Flower it is just impossible to finish levels in this hotel to progress to the next hotel. The bellhop is faster in the very first level Golden Apple Hotel than he is in the Royal Flower Hotel. I got this game because it reminded me of one that I had purchased from the Apple App Store that was on the very first iPad. I loved that game! No in game purchases! You played the game you purchased. If you wanted more levels you could purchase additional pack of levels as well. What I loved most is I could go back and replay all the levels whenever I wanted. ✓ New update making very very very hard to get gemsSo disappointed with this game, have been a loyal player for so long now and the change from earning gems when playing levels of older hotels to doing activities to earn the odd gem has made it pretty much impossible to happily play this game- most of the activities to complete are to upgrade old hotels which obviously takes up a lot of gems at about 12+ gems for each upgrade and I return from this stupid log book you get 1-2 gems so there’s no point doing the upgrades as you lose out on gems. You have to play levels a stupid amount of times to complete the other activities and still only earning a max of 7 gems which isn’t a lot because it takes so long to earn them. This is just a way for them to say it’s still free to play but only just so people spend more money on gems which is a disgusting move from the creators. ✓ Impossible to pass levels from hotel 2So I been stuck on level 37 at the second hotel for some time now, and i was starting to believe that I wasn’t playing it right because I didn’t know how to get all of the customers to smile due to the fact all of them wanted different orders at the same time. But now I realised that in order to pass this level you HAVE to spend money on boosters because it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get all of the customers to smile because naturally, while serving a customer the other customers patience goes down quite fast. No matter how good your strategy is, you cannot beat this level without spending money In no way shape or form, should a 2nd stage in a game be this difficult this early on a game, it’s demoralising. ✓ I was misled by the advert for this gameWhen I saw the advert for this game it looked fun but after downloading it realised I had been misled. I was shown an elevator and different levels, and this was not what I got at all. It’s just the same game in different locations, and while I had fun at first despite the misleading advert I have now become bored. Where is the elevator the advert showed me? And nobody can try telling me I downloaded the wrong game because I used the link in the advert to download the game, so it’s definitely the right game. The other thing that bugs me is that I have spent real money on this game to buy the purple gems you need to make improvements to your hotel and any power ups as well. You don’t get any from completing levels, and only when you reach a chest do you get some but it’s only one or two. I have spent more money than I wish I had to advance in this game and now I’ve had enough. Between this and the false advertising I am done. ✓ Fantastic game but has MAJOR flawThis is a fantastic game for the most part. Great graphics, fun game events, creative variety of hotels and characters. The major flaw is the reward system for the events/bonuses. It’s crazy how much time and effort has to be put into coming into the top 3 of an event (the only levels in which you receive rewards), to only receive $100 game dollars and 1/10th of a level up for an advantage. To put it in perspective, you have to pay game dollars to buy upgraded food and rooms in order to complete all levels of a hotel (most have 3 levels of upgrades). The cheapest upgrade is roughly $2,000…next level roughly $16,000…highest level roughly $22,000. And you only win $100 after competing in a two day event?! As as the grand prize??? You also only get $100 when completing every 5 levels. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS GETS YOU NOTHING IN THIS GAME. It’s truly a joke. They begin putting impossible levels in, where more guests are coming than rooms emptying so even if you’re completing two orders at a time with everything updated to max it’s still impossible. As others have said, the one gem every five levels is simply not enough to be able to unlock the later levels, it takes too long. Why do I need 500,000 coins and no way to use them? It would be useful to be able to exchange coins for gems. The kicker is when you use the power ups that you’ve saved up for ages and the game makes the level impossible with 5 people arriving, 5 orders on screen and no where for people to go, making me realise I’ve just wasted my time and energy for no pay off. And yes it does award you gems but they mostly push you into paying for them. When you lose a round a pop up comes up offering you to spend 20 gems to extend the round with only an Ok button as an option at the bottom and to not accept this you have to click the X in the top corner. I have always saved my gems but 3 times now I have been caught out by the 20 gem extension and hit ok by accident trying to get back to replay the level. I have lost 60 gems by this and now I cannot get any upgrades unless I buy more gems or pass the level for the prize. I can’t pass the level because I need upgrades and can’t have ungrades without gems. Catch 22 and definitely a ploy to get you to pay money for it to buy gems. I watch a lot of ads in it so don’t see why they need anymore of money by selling me gems. The 20 gem extension needs to be fixed or offer a “are you sure” option. When you get to a gifts within a level, it looks like you have won several items but in truth you only get the award if you get to 10. Then you get just one. You do get all the jewels but usually just a few. As of this writing you don’t get more than 10. If you are going to give actual prizes, let them be substantial. Otherwise it just feels like you give a few so the players are forced to PURCHASE items to continue. The same is said for the special events that come up. The prizes or gifts are minimal even the big gift at the end of the event. It just makes you feel like you’ve been tricked. That will work for a bit but at some point, all players will opt not to play at all. The creators would do better to be more generous with the gifts. ✓ GlitchThe game overall is a good game; however, there was this expedition limited time adventure where you need energy to complete tasks, and it will only let you explore the island following a certain order of the tasks you need to complete. The one I was stuck on was opening a hut, which, frankly, I managed to somehow do. There was a key which I found and which later disappeared from my backpack following the opening of the hut, but my task is still set to open the hut. I completed all of the minor tasks in hopes the glitch will be resolved shortly. I spent money buying the energy to do these little tasks because my energy wouldn’t renew for the first couple of days unless I would have the game open. This particular glitch seemed to have resolved itself later on the second or third day. Nevertheless! My backpack does not have the key anymore, I have nothing else I could work on on the territory open to me except for collecting the passion fruit to cook it and give me energy, so my money is wasted, I have about 600 units of energy with nothing to do, and a task that is glitching. The reason I am giving this game a 1-star review is because I don’t see any means of contacting support for this game to resolve issues. ✓ Used to love itThe update ruined it for me. The achievement book was cool in theory but after getting the low ones it takes forever to get achievements. Which isn’t the deal breaker. The deal breaker is that they took away the option of winning gems from previous levels. I would have been okay if you only got gems with the biggest gift but, nope, no gems in that one either. Now it’s very difficult to advance. They claim every level is winnable without gems but I have played many levels fully upgraded and gotten green from every single request and still been like $200 short on the goal. I tried over and over and over and over thinking I was missing something. Green every time. Short money every time. Maybe a glitch I dunno. Again, before the update I didn’t worry much about it and I used a double money power up. But now with rewards reduced I refuse to do it. Every level sets you up for failure, so although it would be an enjoyable game I can’t review it higher than this. I’ve been stuck days on the same level, as whatever upgrade I do is never enough. Which is basically just a push for people to buy diamonds to get boosters, as without them there’s no way to end the levels. So done with it now. However a couple bugs that need to be fixed for instance I noticed playing the game at level 79(right before the next hotel level) was one of my customers would get out of the helicopter to “check in” but instead of stopping at the desk (where I would send them to rooms)they just go down the steps(passing the check in desk & sauna) and out the door as if they’ve already been checked in & checked out. Which constantly messes up my game if I can’t treat someone who doesn’t check in (the current level I’m stuck on because of this issue; I even screenrecorded.) I used to finish a hotel prior to another being ready to play but have been stuck on Olive Island for a long time with 2 new hotels being created. I basically open once a day to get my 2 gems and coins for daily bonus then play another game, Hotel Craze where I get endless opportunities to get free gems (about 16 each day), power ups and if I get stuck it’s for a day not a week. Right now in grand hotel mania I need 13 gems so will be able to upgrade my hotel in about 4 days (I’ve already been collecting daily gems without playing for about 3 days), hopefully the reception being upgraded is enough to pass the level because I did the last money upgrade to try and pass the level 3 days ago and it wasn’t enough to beat level 75. So really I’ve been on level 75 for maybe a week and a half just opening the game to get my daily gems and then shutting it. Also I can see developer responses to other complaints saying the gems for watching videos will be fixed from about July, so that’s clearly not being fixed and I don’t want to hand over my details to enter scam comps for gems. That one hotel that was tropical took me almost a month to finish because almost every level after 15 was REALLY hard to the point I couldn’t beat it without using help. This used to happen rarely but you could replay the level and not have the time run out again. The latest update though? They consistently put too many guests into a level for the time and have the guests stay in rooms longer. ✓ I love this game but there are frustrating things that make me want to stop playing.This is a really great game. There are a lot of good things about it. However, and bare with me because it’s hard to explain, I get so frustrated with all the little side mini games and rewards boards. I really wish they wouldn’t automatically pop up after a level if you earn a new reward or as you progress in the mini games/competitions. I have had so many power ups get wasted because of all the pop ups and how long it takes to get out of whatever it is that popped up. For example, there is a mini game (the icon to access it is a compass I think) that automatically popped up and I got stuck in a tutorial that I couldn’t get out of because there was no X or back button. I ultimately had to close out of the game completely in order to get out of it. I had just earned a speed power up before that popped up and most of it ended up being wasted because of it. I also end up getting stuck in the main Home Screen and unable to click on anything while it shows the points being added to the seasonal reward board or the “tourism boom” mini competition. ✓ GemsI have been playing this game for a while now, since it was still “developing” I believe. I really enjoy the game but it has always been a problem with gems. Now it’s an even bigger problem. Before you could go to previous places and earn a few gems now you cannot. Gems are so hard to come by and they do not provide an adequate amount you need to upgrade and beat levels. The little “goals” they set so you can get gems are not efficient at all. How am I supposed to jump through hoops for ONE GEM? This is ridiculous. Also TWENTY (20) whole gems for a second chance ? When the new achievements board was introduced I thought it would be great to finally have new ways to earn gems from playing all hotels. However - all the achievements for all my old hotels are already marked as complete so I don’t get the gems for them. Any hotels I can still get achievements for, I need upgrades to complete - and for that I need gems - and you have removed the option to win gems by playing old levels! The only way I can now earn gems is to get 2 per day for signing in - that’s not playing a game! How boring. So as I’m doing this I realize that although I pressed someone for slot 2, it would make it seem like I didn’t. This has been happening since the paradise location and it just happened now at silver pike! I’ve lost the game many times for that one hiccup. Just now, I pressed for him to go to someone and I realized the bellhop skipped her, I pressed her again and it didn’t mark her as a number. Sure, you can endlessly grind away at previous levels to earn gems without paying for them, but you only earn one gem for every 10 levels you win. My advice is each reward key you should get more gems (the first key earned gets one gem, the second key earned gets 2 maybe even more gems and so on.) if not then there should be more ways for you to earn gems so you can continue to upgrade your hotel. My kitchen upgrade is asking for 8 gems and I can barely collect two. I’m only on the second hotel and am close to wanting to delete the app for this reason. ✓ ImpossibleYou’ve literally made some of the levels impossible to beat without spending money on gems. How could I get all smiles when you have new customers arriving when all the rooms have just gotten full and no one has yet even had any in-room orders fulfilled? Plus I think there’s a few too many types of orders to fill with not enough open slots for the bellhop. He needs at least one more slot because pasta and coffee take too long to make and then he also has to constantly run back and forth for cleaning supplies. It has its fun points but you need to make some changes to be playable without always needing boosters. Your response is precisely what I’ve stated is the problem. Rockets and other “helpers” and room improvements all cost gems. There is no way to pass some of these levels without boosters / buying gems. For me personally, I’d like to be able to pass even difficult leveled without needing boosters / helpers. ✓ Enough with the crashingI really love playing the game, but it is so constantly glitchy. Crashes mid-level, or elevators just decide not to work, stranding customers causing me to lose levels. ✓ Great game but can’t do too many tasks at onceGreat game but I find when people put in orders or check out, even though I tell the little bellhop to deliver the order then clean the room then deliver another order, a lot of the time it doesn’t register what it’s doing or where it’s going. I then have an order for sandwiches going nowhere dirty rooms and people still waiting to check in and getting their cranky pants on. ✓ Pay to advanceWas once a great game. Then developers decided to “balance” the game to earn more $$. Gems and coin are required to upgrade hotels. You can earn 1 gems by watching 1 ad(max 2 ads every few hours). Most ads crash, losing the gem trying to earn & will have to wait several hours before another “free” ad is available. When you open a hotel, gems are given freely, coin is a little difficult, but eventually obtainable. Fact that you can progress in levels (each hotel appears to have unlimited levels) fairly quickly at first. Every few levels rewards come giving gems & tokens to earn boosts. 3 types of boosts, each type requires 10 tokens to become a boost. Will very quickly reach unprecedented success, requiring you to open a new hotel. Once you open that new hotel, if you prefer upgrading previous hotel, you can expect to play a couple hundred levels to earn 10 tokens to earn a single boost (will need boosts on new hotel, as impassable without upgrading). Gems come at a rate of 3 to 5 gems every 100 levels. Every 4 or so hotels, you are forced to a new “area”, where you will lose all coin. No coin=no upgrading. ✓ UPDATE: No more farmingThis game is fun even when you don’t win all the time. I even love to see the little angry faces of the people when you miss their order. Can you please add more types of people to keep it interesting? Please add some portly women and skinny business men and young hiking lads to be more diverse and body positive. UPDATE: Whoah. So the devs have decided to remove farming for gems by replaying lower hotel levels. In return they have added an ‘achievements’ book to earn gems, but there is no way to receive the gems for the achievements you have already earned. NOT COOL. In addition this is just a grab to force players to buy gems because hotel improvements cost a lot of gems and there is no way to farm them now. Way to ruin a great game. You should keep both the farming and the achievements book. People would just play more to get the paltry gems you can gain from achievements and they would buy gems if they get frustrated or they want a short cut. ✓ Can’t upgrade without diamondsThis game is great but the reason I’m giving it an overall 1* is because of the frustration that is caused by it; when you have enough money and need to upgrade, you can’t do it without gems - you can’t accumulate the amount needed and then feel like the game isn’t worth playing at all. The game doesn’t give out enough free gems which is totally BS because then you’re stuck on a level for ages - it’s not made Free-to-Play instead it’s made so you’re put in a position where the only other option is to spend REAL money to buy gems. Why would anyone do that for a game? ✓ Good gameGood game. Fun and great graphics. Only thing is though you reach a certain point where you have to start paying money to actually progress which is not bad but otherwise you never get enough boosts unless you pay a lot of money for it. Upgrades take hours and hours to “be delivered” so you end up not really wanting to play the game anymore. Played it for 5 days straight then got bored with waiting so haven’t really touched it since. Plus you end up with more costumers and more orders to the point where you are unlikely to succeed on that level unless you pay like £20 worth of boosts.. that’s on one level. ✓ Fun game but............I like this game, but there are levels on the latest release that it is impossible to get past unless you buy additional power ups. I was on level 52 of the royal flower for a week. Every time ended up being 12 coins short of finishing. This is with completing every order on green. I notice that in the boxes you no longer get any power ups, just 10 diamonds. I paid 2.99 for a 40 diamond and a run fast power up. Used the run fast and still didn’t get enough coins to complete. Therefore had to use 30 diamonds for 3 additional guests. I can understand that these levels are meant to be challenging but this level is actually impossible unless you spend money. I don’t mind spending a bit to support the game but this is outright dishonest. For that reason one star from me. Now stuck on level 59 of the latest release. Need 950 coins but max you can get, with all correct rooms and all orders on green is 908. Come on surely you check these?!.Cj2300babsVersion: 1.8.1

✓ New update is awful!I have just updated the game and am definitely not happy with it in many ways. The first thing is the gifts. As you keep playing at current and older hotels you would receive gems as a gift every 5 levels and the gems were well worth the repetitive play, however after this update the gems have reduced down to 1! Really?? Secondly the characters have changed and they seem slower and bigger, the overall game play has slowed down and your character doesn’t do what you’ve asked it to do. But most certainly the stinginess of the gifts, I can’t get over what a difference an update makes and makes me wish I never updated it, please change this so the rewards are with the play like they were before..ChefOzlemVersion: 1.5.2

✓ Bring back the original drawersI have loved playing this game - the appeal is travelling to different countries. The illustration and detail to the hotels are beautiful and then progressive ideas building up the challenge was really fun. However halfway through level four, the illustrations aren't as interesting and the research and ideas seem to have disappeared. The hotels are now very similar. I've now reached 'Golden Column' hotel and it is EXACTLY the same as 'Vintage Eclipse' - seriously!?You've made the game more expensive and a LOT less interesting.
