✓ 2 main issues with touch controls make it unplayableThere’s a lot of buttons to utilize in Warframe, but touch controls are not optimized for simultaneous multi-finger touches and essentially only support 2-thumb play properly. This is because pressing any buttons on the left side removes your thumb registration for movement. Likewise, pressing anything on right side removes your thumb registration for aiming. For a game that has so much mobility, it’s ridiculous to optimize touch controls for only 2-thumbs. Movestick size can’t be changed and you have to slide your thumb quite far up to register sprinting (especially to lock auto sprint). Graphics suffer because there’s so much detail on screen. Most mobile games have simpler backgrounds and focus on visual clarity - with less stuff to display, the game can give more visual polish on the limited/essential things on screen. Customization of button placements and scaling their size is very good, minus the 2 game breaking issues I mentioned earlier (thumb registration and movestick size scaling). Quite an ambitious mobile port, but would be okay with a few key adjustments to touch controls. However, it’s cross play and there’s really no reason to play this on a mobile device if you have a console or pc setup. Haven’t tried controller, which I assume would be a better experience because you can move + aim + shoot + jump simultaneously with no problems because of the controls. But playing on the go is best on touch and it’s unlikely that you’re carrying a controller with you on the go..Version: 1.0.2
✓ First day launch, understandable.This game is absolutely amazing on consoles or the pc. There is literally endless things you can do with weapons and endless options for fighting styles that you can customize, both gameplay and cosmetics. The cinematics and the story, along with constantly unveiling lore with more game contents are one of the best i’ve ever experienced. Here’s the review for the iOS version of Warframe: it’s clunky and feels bad. The controls just don’t feel right. You are not able to maneuver your character as half as good as the console/pc players are able to. The interface seems awkward and it feels like the xbox format was forced onto the iOS with just a little tweaks to fit the mobile platform. (Press A to start the game, on touchscreen. Lol) I’m not sure how the devs will manage more spec-requiring contents such as where players are blasting massive area abilities/weapons in an open world mission, along with dozens of enemies and hundreds of interact-able objects are in place. There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement on the iOS as of right now. Love the game on my pc/console though, it is absolutely incredible..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Needs a lot of workThis should be a very good game but the controls are atrocious. Movement joystick often fades in and out, as does looking up and down (making aiming the gun very difficult). They are so clunky that I can’t even get past the wall jump section of the tutorial and I am not a neophyte with 3D shooters on iOS, don’t have a complaint with any of the major titles like CoD, Battle Prime etc. No ability to enlarge buttons to any significant degree or to use gyroscope to overcome the Y axis problems. Controls are integral to any shooter, need to fix these issues to get any traction imo.Version: 1.0.2

✓ DisappointingThere’s a large number of issues. I have over 2000 hours and have been playing since Warframe came to steam. The game on iPad looks terrible. Most of the prompts are completely illegible, greatly affecting gameplay. The touch screen controls are nearly unplayable. I don’t honest think they could be improved, but if you don’t have access to a controller to attach to your device, I wouldn’t bother. Which completely removes the portability factor, unless you’re walking around with a console controller, possibly damaging it, which is a big ask when 1st party controllers currently cost more than a new AAA game. Controller still feels terrible. This game doesn’t have aim assist, or at least not strong enough if there is, making aiming very difficult. Past that, I personally can’t stand the controls for this game on controller, and even after fiddling with them they’re not great, especially with the inability to read prompts. Past that, my personal biggest issue, is that you can only sign in using an apple account. This wouldn’t be as big of a deal if the Warframe website wasn’t currently giving an error message whenever I try and sync my Apple ID to my main account, but even then, I have more than one warframe account I play, and I’m not going to make multiple apple accounts in order to sync those to the warframe accounts. Overall, this game is just not worth the 10+ gbs it takes up on your device..Version: 1.0.2

✓ It crashes for no reason and loading me back to orbiterWell I was excited trying this game on my new iPad device I bought new iPad last year it has low storage but I upgraded my storage with more 200GB storage and I was playing this game for two days straight doing normal public missions was running okay a little bit with lag but still I could able to run Saya's Vigil quest couple of times it crashed running into Plains of Eidolon but still I was able to complete this. And today I decided to run and do Fortuna quest running into Orb Vallis and trying to do a quest was mission impossible bcuz it kicked me out for no reason from Orb Vallis to my Orbiter and says your device is low of the storage so we are loading you back preventing game from the crash. I literally upgraded my storage and it was running okay for two days having some lags and crashed but still I was able to play this game but today it was literally awful I couldn’t play at all so I decided to uninstall and leave it..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Performance and Graphics Need WorkIPhone 14 Pro Max is significantly faster, and more powerful than Nintendo Switch yet the iOS version looks quite terrible with low resolution, and the frame rate is bad and nowhere near 60fps. ✓ Love the game , really bad lagI absolutely love this game! You can tell it was made well , and everything about it is enjoyable. It’s not a pay to win which is rare nowadays. The story, graphics, characters, and missions are all great as well! This game is a ton of fun , and something no one should miss out on. I definitely recommend it! Though that being said on mobile there is an extreme lag. It’s so bad that sometimes I have to sit and wait for my game to unfreeze, or I end up losing timed missions due to barely being able to get around in time. I’m not sure why it’s lagging so bad all of the sudden. The first couple of hours when I first downloaded the game, there was no lag. Then sometime later I just started getting awful lag. It’s very difficult to do missions and fight scenes when I can literally count the frames on my screen. I hope there is an update soon to revise this. I understand the game just came out and I’ll definitely continue to play. Don’t let the lag discourage you as I’m sure it will be handled and even with the lag I greatly enjoyed the game and it’s many components. ✓ Started So Well, TooSo, let me just say that I’m a multi-platform Warframe player; been playing since the Beta. This has got to be the worst version of Warframe ever released. I’m using an iPad Air 4 and am plagued with slow load times, the app going unresponsive during certain actions (I.e. checking your mail, trying to claim from the Foundry after accessing the arsenal, etc.), and the game crashing every 10 or so minutes causing me to lose an ungodly amount of XP from doing a Circuit in the spiral or lose progress from other missions. At this moment, this version of the game is garbage. Grab a Switch, Steam Deck, or anything other than an iPad and play on those; you’ll have far fewer headaches..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Amazing transplant, buuuutIt is quite surprising that DE can move the game to mobile platforms while keeping all the content. However, touch screen control is not suitable for the game especially in a fast-paced SP mission that requires high AMP. And precise aiming is almost impossible. Its a very demanding game, it runs well when you're in hub areas, but as soon as you get into the open world and see enemies, thats when the gameplay on mobile is akin to reading a comic. ✓ Good but expected moreI have over 1000 hrs into Warframe so I’m kinda qualified to say something, the mobile is a little bit weird. Just encountered a bug where I couldn’t get rid of the chat display when loading from Fortuna into Orb Vallis, I have a custom set up for my buttons and anytime I try to do a slide and a jump, I suddenly look at the Big Dipper. Some big things don't need to be big, some small things need to be bigger, zooming out of the star chart is a little tedious, etc. The foundry is hard to access because of how small the symbols are, auto sprint doesn’t feel good on an iPhone. I could be just complaining for nothing but I do hope it kinda fixes. Also the XBox controls are showing..Version: 1.0.2
