✓ Daily racingI love the game but the problem is that when I play the races I need to wait 6-16 hours in order to play. I don’t understand why I have to pay for the monster trucks. ✓ Fix a few thingsOne nerf the ai. The ai in this game are super overpowered. They rubber band like crazy pass you with no boost or sometimes you use the same boost as them and they still manage to go faster/ farther than you. How can any little kid find this fun. Secondly all the sudden I stopped receiving challenges and how am I supposed to collect new track parts and cars if I don’t have any challenges to receive red wheels. I deleted the game and reinstalled to try and fix the problem then to find out my data has been erased put ICloud in to save my data next time..Version: 3.0
✓ Money grab’n from the Dev’s at its finest!!!DL’d to give it a shot because who doesn’t like Hot Wheels! The developers should be ashamed of themselves as everything is based off of pat to play, like EVERYTHING… I mean multiplayer needs a pass to play, really!? Anyway, go have fun playing with actual Hot Wheels or go and pick up Hot Wheels Unleashed for console/PC play. Probably cheaper in the long run, lol! Unleashed plays great on the Switch with a bunch of FREE content and its a blast playing multiplayer. DEVELOPERS TAKE NOTE. It is rare that he earns iPad time and he looks forward to this fun app. He was devastated when he logged on today and some of track piece he use to play with are now locked behind a $9.99/ month paywall. He was already sad that he didn’t have a way to earn the new cool tracks and finding out the old tracks were also taken was very upsetting. ✓ Where are your morals budge studioAll of the tittles which budge have made games for - hot wheels, Thomas, Chuggington etc should be ashamed to be associated with such profiteering from children. Constant adverts and pay walls prevent play and encourage children to click on paid for extras without being able to enjoy any of the game with constant interruptions and trying to make money. It’s a disgusting technique used purely to make profit with the child’s interest literally the last thought from these horrible developer’s. I recommend the Brio game for little train enthusiasts and would encourage others to not give budge studios a single penny more. It’s morally wrong and Apple should not let it happen. The poor children cannot play any of these games without bombardment of more Pay Pay Pay. Only being able to do 3 challenges a day is really bogus, and then only sometimes do you get another track piece, not to mention it might be a subscriber piece. ✓ Over marketing ruins great gameThis is a cool app and could be much better if it wasn’t so over marketed. Especially for infants where a playable car game is quite hard to find. My 3 year old loves playing it but gets constantly interupted by annoying ads. We aren’t buying anything from them, and they’re not appropriate to us. Then to gain new cars the only option is a monthly subscription or very slow challenges, which for anyone with young kids know, whatever is popular one day can not get picked up again for weeks. There’s no other option. It needs a pay to turn off ads cost, and one off options to get cars or track pieces much like the developers train game. I’m looking for a similar app that I can buy once and enjoy a consistent game experience for my kids. — Adding to this review which further justifies my point. Recently the app stopped working for the tracks he built. Eventually needed a full restore meaning he lost all cars and items. The reason it seems is the update updated the paid model by restricting coop play and non-paid items. So not until did the update wreck the free players but includes offering less. The puzzles are clearly for children, but they’re fun enough, but the majority of them are also behind the paywall. As far as I can tell, these are the only two game modes. There’s simply not enough variety in the gameplay to justify a monthly subscription, and the free gameplay only lets you complete three tasks per 24 hours. One day the progress in his collections completely restarted and he now has to earn the same prizes we spent weeks collecting which I have found to be very frustrating especially because we pay monthly for this game. ✓ Good but…I this game probably in 2021 and I loved the track builder. I built this track which I thought was very cool so I shared it and got over 500 thousand likes. I was really happy playing the game until one day there was a glitch which completely ruined it for me. Probably like 3 months after sharing my track it disappeared and I lost all of my likes. I was devastated by this so I deleted the game and left it. Then I came back to it a year later to make the track again because for some reason I didn’t think of making it again when it disappeared. After weeks of playing the levels to get track pieces, I got some bad news: you had to buy the ultimate pass to share your track. It was way too much money for me to bother spending so the countless days of collecting track pieces were all for nothing. ✓ A few issues but fun1) Biggest turn off: First game I’ve ever played that rewarded you with something (a track piece) and then was informed you couldn’t use it until you subscribed. That’s just a terrible marketing ploy and weak game design. 2) Your NPC opponents get random boosts to catch up to you when you are leading. (Long ago this was called “Computer catch up”). Essentially the developer breaks their own game mechanics to make it ‘harder’, but in reality it’s just ‘cheating’ and it looks terrible. 3) ai opponents can activate their boosts before you can. So if the car behind you will ‘earthquake’ your car, even though you got the shield first, as you can’t activate it fast enough. 4) the boost button on the right interferes with driving, especially when you use it when turning left 5) not only do opponents constantly get mystery boosts, but I have now seen 2 FULL oil drops by a single car off of ONE boost AND the ai is 100% aware of your boost status and will choose to wait until the second your shield wears off to activate theirs. Other than that it’s ok..Version: 3.0
✓ Paid for UP but it’s not workingPaid for the ultimate pass but it didn’t work. We still can’t use anything in the game!! No idea how to get support for this. So maddening..Version: 2023.4.0
