✓ A fantastic game...I absolutely adored this game from start to finish. The visuals were lovely, the sound design was fantastic, and the level design was well thought-out. I first saw this game on Jacksepticeye’s channel, and I was so excited when I discovered the mobile version. I only found two faults in the game. First, the controls are not optimised for mobile. The buttons are too small and are spaced right at the edge of the phone screen, making it difficult to move sometimes. I suggest using a dynamic moveable ‘control stick’, like Descenders and INSIDE have done. Second, sometimes there were glowing orange lines across terrain and objects. This was distracting and took away from the experience, and it might be the result of closing the game and relaunching from a save point later. Despite these small faults, I thought the game was fantastic. The resource management system made it engaging to cover long distances, Okomotive really nailed that aspect. I highly recommend the game to anyone thinking of playing it..Version: 1.32
✓ I keep replaying just for the colors in the skyI love this game so much. It's essentially a puzzler / resource management game - lots of making sure your vehicle has enough fuel, stowing your stuff, fixing damage - and I love the sense of mastering my situation. But also it's interspersed with long, peaceful stretches of just traveling along under the open sky, and the sunsets & sunrises & snow & rain, with the atmospheric music, somehow just make me so happy. For a postapocalyptic game it's surprisingly lovely. I've played it all the way throigh five times now. Hope there's a sequel..Version: 1.32

✓ ONE SPOTAs a cartoonist I do not have a lot of time to play games. I leave one spot open on my main menu for one game. This has that spot. So why is it so great: 1. Supports offline play 2. Atmosphere: without saying or explaining a thing you are just there 3.Imagination: Images are present that bring to mind so many possibilities. It is like a good book. Creating “what ifs” in your mind. 4. Simple: Again for the time strained this a fun journey that uses basic mechanics, yet somehow feels so open. If there is a sequel, I want a plant for my room. It would be cool to pick up trophies to decorate your bedroom with. Last note: I would love to feature your game in a couple of comic strips. I have never offered this as I am trying to stay a way from “pop” culture but this feels timeless. Update: found my plant. Spoiler there is one in the game already. Just had to look Update No.2: I have finished the game. I have never been so eager at the end of a game for a sequel or additional content. I love the world they have created. I would be happy playing again just getting to chose color. Your guide color is red..maybe offer a green or blue. ✓ Very nice gameI love the game I played through the entire thing, I hope to see more like this from the developers. The only thing I can say the game was missing is maybe just a setting to change the control size because they are very small and too create an endless game mode where the player has to do their best to not wreck their ship and see how far they can get before it does. ✓ Beautiful MasterpieceI love all the knobs, buttons, gages, and gears. While it isn’t a completely peaceful game as some make it to be, it is completely solvable without cheating with a walkthrough, yet it is difficult at times to coordinate actions and movements. The imagery is gloomy, but wonderful. Lighting design is superb. I never figured out the proper use of all the items I picked up. I’ll definitely go back and play this several times to figure it out. ✓ Truly excellentI found myself surprisingly attached to the ship/car/train/boat thing in this game—there were times when I fell off or it rolled away and I literally yelled “nooooooooo....” as I ran after it to save it. And between obstacles when you have a few minutes of flat out full speed running and it’s chugging along smoothly, it’s amazing. Like The Road or Inside, there’s just enough hint of a story to make you want more. At the end I just wanted to keep going. There were minor issues with controls (I got stuck and had to force quit a few times) and the camera (being able to pan around would be very helpful, and your view ahead when moving fast is way too limited) but not enough to be a real problem. ✓ GorgeousThe upon starting the game, the protagonist looks up from a grave, remembers a loved one who is gone, and then turns away towards a grand adventure. You do not go back. This game is all about what you do first: you solve a puzzle, travel a beautiful world accompanied by beautiful music and background noise, and find your mighty vessel. It looks odd and foreign- takes a little while to find out what all those buttons do- but once you start moving, you feel it’s power. That might vessel will guide you through peace anda as storm, through the most stunning locations, and dramatic disasters. It waits paciently while you solve puzzles and flys daringly down hills when you command it to. All in all, I love this game dearly. Highly recommend..Version: 1.31

When you come back to it you have to replay a long stretch of the game because the last save was way before where you left the game. Having said that, this game is astonishingly beautiful. ✓ Absolute MasterpieceI have never played a mobile game from start to finish until FAR: Lone Sails. This game made me feel like a 10 year old in front of my SNES playing Chrono Trigger, or some other Square adventure of equal awesomeness. The wasteland mood, post-apoc jazz music, the clunky gears, steam-enginery, and the fairly casual gameplay is pretty much perfect, and this is coming from someone who specializes in future/cyberpunk/wasteland ambient music and videos. It’s superb. Even felt some strong emotional undercurrents with the intentionally vague but symbolic storyline. Guys, you really have to try this game. It’s pure magic. ✓ Beautiful GameIt’s beauty is quantified by it’s simplicity. Many parts of the game are maintaining your vehicle as you drive through various wastelands. That, coupled with the background music, makes it a wonderfully easy and soothing game to play. I bought it last night and finished it by afternoon today. Roughly 3-5 hours of gameplay, so not something that takes too much time. At first it was a little hard to grasp, but after the second pit stop it made more sense. Make sure you’re picking up items for fuel, but you will use your sails for a good chunk of the game so fuel moderation is easier than I first thought. If you mess up, you can load previous auto saves. Overall, I’d comfortably give this game 5/5 stars. Very much worth the few bucks spent!.Version: 1.3
✓ CharmingThis game is just a joy. Absolutely stunning graphics, and the machine you learn to drive is wonderfully fun. Elements of this remind me of Inside, but without the stress of that game. The post-apocalyptic backdrop, the gameplay of tending to the needs of your little machine, and the urge to keep moving forward are all synthesized beautifully. The controls are a little wonky, but they are manageable. My biggest problem was how small everything is on the screen, and many scenes are very dark. ✓ Wonderful game although one slight problemThe visuals, game mechanics, environmental story telling, and puzzles were all amazing. The only problem I had was the buttons. The first infinity blade of the infinity blade series had the same problem. The dodge button, or in this case the jump button, was too close to the edge of the screen so my thumb starting to get uncomfortable under long periods of time. I also kept pushing the action button instead of the jump button due to this issue. ✓ Gorgeous title, a few too many bugsA properly lovely work of art. Don’t go in expecting action and guns blazing and mind-altering puzzles. It’s a chilled, fairly easy, very slow moving experience. Unfortunately it doesn’t last all that long (I’d LOVE a sequel — flying machines next!?!), and I played it in around 4-5 hours over the course of a few sittings. Straight off the bat, I wasn’t too awed; but the aesthetic, music, artwork and general concept of coxing this fabulously weird machine along through a barren wasteland was all just too good not to become infatuated with. I found myself wishing it wouldn’t end, such was my levels of immersion. There are some issues though. I experienced numerous bugs, such as not being able to jump over things, glitching through terrain and randomly being unable to hold objects. Most times a couple of extra clicks solved the issue, but there were two occasions when I had to hard restart to continue progress. The ending did sort of just happen, and I feel like a few more upgrades or encounters like the one near the end (no spoilers) would have really elevated this title. I see loads of people compare this to ‘Inside’, I guess because of the “end of the world” aesthetic, but I don’t think there’s much comparison beyond that. ‘Inside’ is FAR more polished and satisfying in my opinion, and also offers greater challenges. This game is very simple in comparison. But I would still really recommend everyone play it. Just know what you’re going into..Version: 1.32

Yes, I didn’t figure out the steam, welder, etc. immediately, but that was my own fault for not being better at puzzle games. My only complaint is that some of the areas were a little too dark. Not that I couldn’t do it, it just wasn’t as enjoyable running around in the dark, especially since the graphics were so nice when you could see them. ✓ Wonderful work of art.This game was quite interesting. The atmosphere and tone of the world alongside the music was great. The graphics are top notch. The gameplay is pretty linear almost with an open world feel to it. My only complaints are that the controls are not the smoothest. A floating joystick would do wonders IMO. The on screen fixed buttons just felt clunky and could make moving a bit tedious at times. Some description or explanation of items/upgrades would’ve been helpful. Also I love how they tell a bit of a story arc in backgrounds. Quite a pity it’s short, so I really hope for a sequel. I don’t play on my Mac anymore, so I had to wait till it comes out for iPhone and iPad. The latter is recommended. The game also supports controller, so if you have one - use it. You navigate a huge train-like machine over hundreds of in-game miles. Over time you weirdly get an attachment to it. ✓ Beat in one night, desperately want more of this little engine.I had a BLAST learning how to make this clunker move! Like I got genuinely attached to the hunk of junk. Ratty sails, a beater engine, low gas mileage, awful wheels, and zero suspension, the ship has everything you avoid when buying a used car, and yet it somehow was even more rewarding to pilot than if it functioned smoothly. ✓ Amazing & EnchantingAfter playing this purchased title on Steam it was flawless and breathtaking. It was disappointing that there was no usb controller support or Sony Wireless Controller suppott, but at least the keyboard commands were smooth and accurate. This Apple App Store version still has no controller support and the keyboard movement has your character moving two spaces with one press of the left or right arrow key. Hopefully there will be a Mac Version on the App Store along with the sequel, Far: Changing Tides, which also looks amazing..Version: 1.32
✓ Worth the effortIt took me two goes to actually get going with this game. Once I realised that Woking the boiler is key, and that anything red had a purpose, it all started to make sense. The game develops into a series of puzzles, which sometimes unfold longer than you expect. The solution to most of them is obvious but sometimes lateral thinking is required. The visual design is lovely as is the sound track. This ranks in my top games on ios along with Limbo, Inside and Monument Valley. Do try it, really rewarding to compete the game..Version: 1.32
✓ An Adventure to rememberAn amazing game that requires a combination of skills. Figuring out how to solve the puzzle of what you need to do to advance without losing your machine. Keeping the machine going and not blowing up, burning or running out of steam. These are just a couple of the things you have to keep track of. I resorted to looking at walkthroughs on a couple of puzzles; normally I would get frustrated and just abandon the game. The art, atmosphere and music kept me intrigued and wanting more. I don’t like “side scroller” games as they usually get repetitive and formulaic. This one kept requiring more and more thought and I wanted to complete it for my little “cube-gineer”. I hope there’s a follow-on or update for more adventures!.Version: 1.3
✓ Is there more than one ending?Beautiful game and a joy to play. I’m just curious if there is more than on ending. I’ve played the game three times and the vehicle always breaks in half right after the volcano eruption and then that’s pretty much it. I have been able to get the front half of the vehicle to go further using the sails but it isn’t very far and the only thing left to do is light the torch that is on top if a tower. Would appreciate hearing some feedback..Version: 1.31

I have to stop the game, dry my eyes and write my first game review before I continue playing.... I don’t want this to end, why can’t life be this simple and satisfying ?? What can I say.... Perfect steampunk graphics, dreamy color scheme when you’re sick of all the noisy, garish colors on the internet, beautiful, uncluttered sound effects and graphics, absolute satisfaction for the lone traveler. The timing of each move forward when problem solving and the right amount of supplies just blows my mind! No other life form to have to communicate with, so you can totally focus on the simple mechanics and damn, I wish we could really travel like that. So old world and charming, my Grandpa might have designed this game. And zero in-game purchases OR advertisements! I hail the creator and designers of this game.... ✓ Beautiful Game!Wonderful game about perseverance through adversity. Amazing soundtrack and awesome visuals. The only slight drawback is the controls, especially for the more heightened moments, often times I would attempt to go right and the controls would go the opposite direction. It’s most likely that I was fat-fingering it, but it was still an issue. It would be great to have button mapping available or at least make the buttons bigger..Version: 1.31

✓ Nothing like this game is betterThis game is absolutely beautiful. When I first saw gameplay I instantly wanted to get this game but I couldn’t get it but when I got it months after I saw gameplay. When I started playing it I was in love with this game then I stopped playing for a month and then when I played it again I was hit with so much nostalgia that I didn’t want to play so I took along break and finished the game I loved the ending so much that I almost cried and then I read all of the credits and wrote this review it has ad amazing play style and this game is just beautiful. ✓ Fun gameFun physics based problem solving game, minor glitch I stopped being able to see the inside of the craft when fully zoomed but closing and opening the app solved the issue without losing any progress. It’s pretty slow paced and relaxing, you can’t die and there’s no time limit. All around fun game worth the 5 bucks..Version: 1.3
✓ BeautifullllllI loved it! I can’t promise everyone will love it as much as I do, but I can tell you what I enjoy. I love games that create an atmosphere that can intrigue and relax me. This game did exactly that. The graphics are great, and the landscapes are so beautifully done. The music is FANTASTIC, and it lends either an adventurous or apprehensive spirit to the game depending on where you are. The story is vague without being distant, so you can still have some emotional connection to it. The gameplay is simple, and not especially challenging, which I enjoy because it allows you to focus more on the world in the game than the mechanics of the game. However, the experience of learning how to run your little ship all by yourself is still a very fun and stimulating one. The movement controls can be a little imprecise at times, but apart from that, this was an ideal game for me :) great work to everyone who contributed to it!.Version: 1.2

Highly recommended only if you have time to kill because it will take all of your attention away from everything else.
