✓ Nice Fun App!This seems to be nice visual app for a small family tree. It might get unwieldy for a very large genealogy though! One thing that would boost the rating from me would be the ability to place/reorder the images in order of birth date. ✓ Only One TreeThis app is poorly made. Once you create a tree of just your parents, spouse, siblings and kids the app starts shrinking everything incredibly after you’ve added cousins, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc. God forbid you add your spouses tree to the mix, everything is already minuscule. You’re not permitted to make separate tree for your spouse or take separate app approved pictures of different branches of the tree you’ve made. ✓ No good for blended familiesYou can only add one spouse if you or a parent etc has children with more than 1 person this isn’t the one for you. Other apps allow you to add photos and have records, use those. The idea is nice it just doesn’t work for my kind of family..MulleremaxVersion: 1.0

✓ Huge mistakeI love the fact that this is a FamilyTree I do but the main problem is that I can’t expand my family on the tree i have a big imitate family which is 23 of us in total but I can only put at least 9 people on there and it comes up with want to expand ur family tree pay £19.45 a year which I think is stupid.Awsomesadia19Version: 2.0

✓ Not helpful- no half siblings or step parentsI downloaded this app to try and make sense of my family since I’m adopted but it won’t allow me to edit complex relationships like step siblings or half cousins etc. it’s showing me as similar to a step parent and we are not related at all. Having just downloaded and starting to use this app, I have no idea what I really think of it. I just know the experience is starting poorly. ✓ A good start, but lacks essential functionalityI am a user of the Photomyne and Slide Scanner apps. Both are excellent, they work and sync across multiple devices, photographic slides scanned in Slide Scanner can be transferred to the main Photomyne app and added to your albums. Both apps are optimised for the iPad. Both apps are excellent and I enjoy scanning and sharing old pictures with family and friends immensely. On the strength of these two excellent apps I decided to purchase this Family Tree app. Which is a real disappointment. The functionality that is currently in the family tree app is very good, creating and documenting a family tree is intuitive and easy. Unfortunately there are significant gaps in functionality that make the app all but useless. First, Family Tree does not share photographs with any of the other Photomyne apps. This means you have to scan your entire photo library twice, once for photomyne and once for the family tree app. Second, the family tree app doesn’t sync your family trees with other devices, they are only available on the device that they were created on. So if you create you family tree on your iPad, you can’t view or add to it on your iPhone or iMac. Thirdly, you cannot share your family trees with your family. So having created your tree your family cannot explore it and add comments, as they can with photomyne albums. You can send a picture of your tree, but that’s not the same as sharing. The app isn’t optimised for the iPad, it’s only designed for the iPhone screen. Once the above essential functions have been added to the app I would certainly subscribe to it once again. However in its current form it’s not something that I can use and have asked for a refund as it is genuinely not worth the £19 subscription. The limitations of the app are not fully explained on the App Store, which is a real shame as the other photomyne apps are excellent..NicolajlakesVersion: 1.3
