✓ My brand new subscriptionMy brand new subscription of the antivirus program says it found something stopping the scan so I added this it was no help and just like before I quit using your product last time I was locked out of my home Wi-Fi witch this time your av kept saying was a public Wi-Fi with no way to fix good by..Version: 22.6.0
✓ Won’t pay for their stuff againI will only be getting the free stuff from Avast from now on, if I don’t just go with someone else entirely. Last time I was renewing my subscription they double charged me, once to renew my old subscription and then to buy my new one. (They did refund the renewal charge once I got ahold of someone.) This time, they renewed without notifying me until the day they charged my card. For $106! And I can’t even use it on my phone because it starts preventing apps from working and blocks websites it shouldn’t (like Microsoft Office, and places like that), and I fight with it on my computer too. So I’m paying over $100 for something I can barely use, because it screws up my devices. Now I’m on hold crossing my fingers for a refund (which I probably won’t get), and I’ve been on hold for almost an hour. With extremely annoying “music”..Version: 24.1.0

✓ Horrible ServiceAvast One stopped working and Technical Support could not fix. I was advised to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Avast One still isn’t working and I can’t get anyone to answer the phone at billing to submit for a refund. Just sitting in the queue for literally 25mins listening to annoying music. ✓ Not really designed for Apple products.I have the free Avast One individual trial installed on an iMac, a Windows laptop and, up until just recently, on my iPhone, and I’m disappointed that the Windows version has way more features and functionality than the Mac and iOS versions. ✓ Good and BadThe good is that it protects me from threats. The bad part is that websites don’t load or video content on Facebook won’t load. ✓ Unexpected ClosingApp keeps closing. When the app closes upon reset the VPN will state it is in and showing virtual ip. It IS NOT cloaking the ip address. The address displayed is the service providers and if the app is forced closed and re-opened it rarely shows an updated virtual ip. The app is running down the battery in the background when the the VPN function is toggled off and the device is NOT in use. Support contacted no valid answer..Version: 22.5.0
✓ I can’t find a way to turn off the VPN!There are many features that I like for Avast One on my desktop. But I’m using another VPN and can’t find a way to turn off the Avast VPN on the IOS device. Running a connection through two VPNs slows it to a snail’s pace!.Version: 24.3.0
✓ Shutting off VPNUnlike my MacBook shutting off VPN through the app on my iPhone does not shut off VPN on the phone. I cannot connect to some websites that don’t allow connections via VPN until I uninstall Avast VPN through iPhone settings. Then I have to reinstall it later. ✓ Don’t waste your moneyI don’t leave reviews often but with this I had to make an exception because I paid for this one. This app just takes up space on your phone because it’s just basically static. A placebo. Don’t really do anything that iPhones IOS soft ware doesn’t do already. I ended up feeling like the app was actually logging my data so I deleted after only a few days. Requested a refund and got turned down twice. Won’t make that mistake again. Will you?.Version: 23.1.0
✓ Blocks WiFiThe VPN profile that this app created blocked wifi from connecting even when the app was not in use. It also stopped YouTube app from working..Version: 23.1.0
✓ Top rated really?This avast is subpar, the vpn is beyond useless. It slows down system processes on MacBook iPhone and pc. To get a refund on pc was a nightmare. Would not recommend. Also they had a pretty substantial data leak. Check it out..Version: 22.7.0
✓ Won’t Stay on Wi-FiFirst, you do not get to delete a review just because you do don like it. That’s not why Apple gives that ability. Here’s the review, again: App constantly knocks me off Wi-Fi and forces my iPhone SE (2020) to use cellular data. But, the cellular data won’t work either because the service provider doesn’t like the IP address used by Avast. The only way to reconnect to Wi-Fi is to turn off the VPN, which is half the reason for having this app. Have written to technical support and received no answer, not even an automated read receipt. This makes me pretty certain that upgrading to the family plan is a no-go since everyone in my family will have the same issues until Avast either tells us how to fix it, or issues an updated version of the app. (By the way, the bought-and-paid-for Windows version on my laptop works wonderfully!).Version: 2.5.0

✓ If I could I would rate of zero starsThis “anti-virus” it’s a virus it doesn’t let you download anything and it’s taken over my computer now I can’t even touch something without it saying oh that’s one virus detected I personally play a lot of games on my computer and I can’t download anything from steam anymore because of avast one.Version: 22.3.0

✓ VPN on / off not an option - it will just turn itself back onThis is just an experiment , using the free version . Recently found evidence of keylogging activity when entering card details at some online checkouts . Avast advertises it can detect and remove keylogging malware on an iOS device through a deep scan . The deep scan returned no results . It will ask you to turn on its VPN but will turn itself on if you skip that step or choose to turn it off in iOS settings , saying that without it your browsing is ' insecure ' . Turn it off ....and it will turn itself straight back on . Am anyway using Apple's Private Relay , and sometimes use Lockdown mode . Incompatible ?.Version: 23.1.0

✓ Web shield turns itself off iPhone XRNo matter what I try the web shield keeps turning itself off. When I try and email Avast support from the app, I just get a message saying that there was an error sending your message, please try again. It just leaves me stuck in a loop with no means of contacting support.Version: 24.5.0
✓ It’s okDon’t like how it always decides to turn the web shield on when I toggle it off, even in settings I gotta switch the vpn to another JUST to switch it off at most times. Otherwise, runs fine with the shield and vpn though you may notice some battery/data draining if you aren’t careful. Hope this helps for new users!.Version: 23.1.2

✓ The VPN killed my mobile data connectionI liked the front end UX and the limited free VPN but unfortunately I had to uninstall the app - it seemed to work fine over wi-fi but the VPN completely killed my mobile data connection. It didn’t even need to be switched on to cause problems and as a result most apps became useless when I wasn’t connected to wifi. Only when I uninstalled it did I manage to use my phone properly over mobile data. Shame..Version: 23.1.0
