✓ Great game but the lag is insane!The first time I played this game, I was intrigued by all the features on the screen. I love the recipes but while cooking them in the real world will be very inaccurate, at least the graphics are chef’s kiss. The thing that annoys me THE MOST is the insane amount of lag! I’m at home, playing this game with a strong internet and then while I’m cooking something on the pan or I am mixing something, the game decides to just lag on me! When I try cooking pie or pizza, the stop button runs away! What’s up with that?! Also, the moment I leave the game and I come back the next moment, every player is still in the exact spot they were in proving that you play with bots from the BEGINNING. It’s stupid, the lag and playing with possible bots. Creators, please fix all this. Yes, I know other people have reported the same bugs as I did. ✓ Fabulous & addictiveBy far one of the best cooking games. You get to slice mix stir & grill. I love the different recipes & steps needed to complete the dishes. But after bingeing on this for about a month I now find there isn’t anymore levels after episode 11 & once your trophy level hits 600 there isn’t anymore skill level either. Would love to see an update releasing more episodes recipes & challenges. Otherwise not a bad game & the characters are fun. I love their happy dances & sad body language. I have a few “major” problems, 1: the boiling is hard on mobile, 2: the stirring is not so great, 3: when I pour something and I’m weighing it it counts to fast. I really think you should fix this game a tad bit. ✓ Should be 5 🌟Recent update has me confused… previously boiling food was easy, the change with how to boil just isn’t working. Trying to keep the line centered on green is nearly impossible and nearly every time now the food boils over!! Is there a catch to do this because right now it’s not working!! Original review: First off, I love this game! I didn’t s lot of time changing the stars because of the glitches. When placing items in oven the Stop button disappears and you can’t do anything causing food to burn. Also when stiring ingredients it glitches causing me to lose stars. I finally landed on 4🌟’s (almost went with 3) because I love the game and works more than it doesn’t. But I also wish more levels were added a lot more frequently along with updates and I’m not getting any of the missing Outfits and Utensils I’m still missing. ✓ Amazing Game! 🤩🍔When I first saw this game on the App Store, I was so excited because I LOVE to bake! I normally can’t, so it being virtual is nice. I now play this game every day, and it’s really great! The feel of actually baking is pretty nice (for a baking app). There is no problems except sometimes with the weekly challenge. You have to get 9 stars already and get first place. It’s really challenging and most of the time I can’t do it (this is me being angry at the challenge) and it gets on my nerves. ✓ Good game but some flawsHi devs, I think that this is a great game and is highly enjoyable. Though, I have some ideas and problems. First of all, when I’m trying to cook spaghetti bolognaise I get to the frying part and after I’m done, it freezes. I’m stuck there with the empty stove, and the red dots at the bottom of the screen (the fire). Also, I find mixing stuff too hard because if I peel close to the edge of my previous peel it says good, but if I don’t then at the end it has tiny bits I need to peel. Now on to ideas. I think there should be a mode where you can create recipes and design them, name them, ect. Then you can share them. It would also be nice to have a practice mode. I also think it would be cool to get to look around the kitchen and talk to your competitors and stuff. I hope you like these ideas, and will try to fix the problems. ✓ Enjoyable but flawedGreat idea for a game and fun to cook the recipes, but there seems to be a huge flaw in the fact that the largest part of your score/success seems to come from being the fastest, so you can actually score higher by poorly measuring your ingredients or completely undercooking your food than doing a good job at cooking it… and isn’t perfect cooking what MasterChef should be about? I get scoring some points from time, but I can think of several better ways to do it..Version: 1.1.5
✓ Cooking FunI really like this game. It reminds me of Cooking Academy, a game I played years ago on my PC. I didn’t know where to go to provide feedback on the Apple Arcade experience, but I’m disappointed. $60 a year is a lot to pay for the privilege of playing a few casual games. There are better solitaire and mahjong games available in the App Store for free, as well as several good jigsaw puzzle apps. There is a different version of Angry Birds available that is more fun than the one you are offering, and I’ve been match-three gamed to death without seeing more of them here. I’m not renewing after this month because for me it’s not worth the money. I know it’s different for everyone, but I guess I expected more from a “premium” service. I don’t know why certain things have to be placed behind a paywall. My biggest issue is automatically being logged into Game Center for single player games. For example, the judges CONSTANTLY complain about your speed even if you come second and in Prime Time you have to make a dish of the judges choosing and sometimes they will complain about the dish not being daring enough. ✓ Really fun game, but could be better.It’s a really fun and nice game, cute animation, and fulfills your cooking urges, but like any new game, it has issues. My biggest problem with it is the scoring at the end of each competition. It’s not particularly a timed competition (as in there’s not a time limit) but the amount of time you take still affects your score in the end. And, since not everyone has to cook the same dish, some people finish faster than others and get a higher score because of it. Meaning, people who may choose harder or longer dishes get penalized. Also if you get 4th place or lower, the judges complain way too much about it, even if they loved your dish otherwise. ✓ Nearly there…but closeThis game is actually fun, really requires you to use your brain unlike other mobile games. You have to know recipes and think about what’s next and get prepared. The one thing holding this back is that it becomes so obvious that it’s trying to cheat you, some of the quest they give (ex: use eggs, or don’t use a pan) become impossible because they don’t give you the ingredient or there are no recipes for you to use. The one thing that’s going to make me take a break from this game is that on one level, it gave me no recipes at all. I could not play the game, it gave me a bunch of stuff to put out and stuff, but did not give me enough to do anything with it. I had to quit because I couldn’t do anything, if you fix this and other errors it becomes a 4.5 out of 5. ✓ Fun But BuggyThis is a fun game to play when you’re passing the time. Generally it’s pretty solid but there tend to be bugs. Current bug is not being able to open the gold box when completing Prime Time (still have 2 tickets left). Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn’t help. The little red badge sometimes gets “stuck” for won items, but there aren’t any new items to click on (i.e. says you have a new apron, but you check each apron and each color and none are marked as new but that badge never goes away) Also pretty obvious you’re not actively playing against others in matches (they’re bots that *look* like real players) but on the plus side, it doesn’t matter if you decide to put the game down in the middle of Prime Time or a match. I kind of wish the weekly recipes were added as normal recipes after the week’s over. I’m at the point where I’m level 11 Master Chef league and most of my recipes are fully upgraded or close so I’m not sure there’s much replay-ability unless they add more levels or more recipes/recipe groups. Still, a fun game! I like it better than other cooking games I’ve played and I like the holiday updates..Version: 1.9.0
✓ Well…I “pre-ordered” this game as soon as I saw it. It’s a great idea and has lots of promise. However, I got to level 8 in a little over a week, I believe, and have already hit Master Chef. I play in the mornings while drinking my coffee. It’s a good “wake-up” game. Master Chef, as it stands, is a solid 3.5 stars. I gave it a 4 instead of a 3 for effort. It took me a bit to figure out the instructions because there are none. There is a lag and sometimes as soon as I start, I’m already a step behind everyone else. It would be nice to have a practice option. Sometimes I just want to make stuff. Different utensils would be better if they helped with scoring instead of just visuals. It’s not like anyone can see what we’re using. I get that updates take a while sometimes, especially if it’s a smaller company, but this really needs an update. I only play for a bit every day and I’m already maxed out on the 8th level. I think it’s time for one. I have noticed more issues since iOS 14, but that could just be because I’m paying more attention to the details now since I don’t have to work to get anywhere in the game. I’ll still play, but I think if you fix those issues it would make a lot of us happier..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Update on previous reviewThis game got better with updates that fixed the terrible stuttering glitch that would happen when peeling fruits or veggies, or stirring ingredients in a bowl. Now the game is way better functionality wise. Love the new recipes and the addition of weekly boxes and Primetime. However; I did see another review mention what I’m about to explain, how the game definitely isn’t 100% playing against actual human beings but mainly bots (computer). Its abundantly clear after you play the game for a whole. Especially with the weekly challenges. I think there should be more transparency or some sort of indicator on when you’re playing against bots. ✓ Fun, but room for improvementI enjoy this game, I’m a big fan of cooking mama and having been looking out for something just like this, I was very happy to find it! I have, however, noticed some glitches. Like others have mentioned, the game tends to lag, often at pivotal moments which cause mistakes - this can mean the difference between a “good” and an “oops”. I really struggle with the stirring and the pouring, I find them almost impossible, therefore avoiding anything that may involve these! I know you don’t have to follow the in game requirements, but I think it would be good if you could play “practice” levels, without having to worry about the time aspect or judges requirements. I’d also like to be able to experiment more with the ingredients. All in all, aside from what’s mentioned above, I keep coming back to play more, the game is fun. ✓ FABULOUSI absolutely love this. I’m naturally a bookish person and haven’t played many video games, but this one is so fun and well worth the time playing. I love how the judges criticize your dish, but usually they are encouraging, and that gives you a sort of pic up, even if it isn’t an actual person telling you. I also like the challenge. Has anyone played with your non-dominant hand? Totally stinks and you completely lose, but its still a very fun thing to do and you’ll want to keep doing it to be better. I have one complaint, and it does not bother me much, but sometimes the stop button for the oven disappeared, making me not able to take it out till its burnt. It would be a nice fix. ✓ Good but some glitchesI like this game but when I use the frying pan, it doesn’t register my swipe even if I do it hard enough. And sometime it will think I have swiped twice when I haven’t, giving me a bad score. I have had the same issue as others where it didn’t register my save, and asked me to pick a ‘cloud save’, then it took me to the beginning of the game. I force closed the app and it gave me back all my progress but I feel like it will happen again and I’ll lose all my progress for good. ✓ Seeing Improvements!I liked this game from the get-go, despite its bugs which plenty of others have mentioned (and most of which have gone away for me in recent updates). I was shocked, though, that I didn’t find a review about certain ingredients NEVER seeming to drop from boxes! I have most of my recipes at level 7-8, except several recipes I unlocked AGES ago (like the first week I downloaded this last year). All of those recipes are stuck at level 1 because they require VANILLA or ORANGES. I’ve since gotten vanilla ONE TIME from a box right when I logged in. Lately, idk if there was a new update or something but it’s really glitchy. Some examples are: when you are waiting for a dish to cook in the oven, the button to take it out disappears and starts playing the take out animation in the background but it’s still cooking leading to stars being lost; the weekly challenge says I’ve played it, but I don’t have the reward, it says I have 12/18 stars, and won’t let me actually play the challenge; then there’s the glitches that were there before (which aren’t actually that bad). I do want to share a few things I’ve noticed that I think are problematic and, therefore, frustrating: 1- the time and steps for different recipes vary so if you’re limited on ingredients you’re stuck. 2- also, if someone else has a quick recipe, you’re again out of luck. Shouldn’t recipes getting higher or lower star ratings based on difficulty? 2- upgrading recipes only seems to make them more difficult and require more ingredients. That’s ridiculous, and completely counter to the idea/purpose. I didn’t realize this until I upgraded them and can only do I or two recipes. 3- you can really only get ingredients and experience through winning, but winning is tough for the above reasons. Again, I like it, but I’m not going to be checking in daily. It seems more like a pay-to-play set-up that’s been sort of redesigned for Arcade. ✓ Was better before the updateI used to play all the time but now I have to avoid challenges with boiling things because of how difficult the new update made it. Also with the weekly challenges when I complete the tasks to get the stars for the reward they won’t show up?? Like for example, I completed the challenge in first place and I was supposed to get 25 stars for it but it showed it was never completed. I wish there was a way to add friends and do challenges against them. ✓ Love this game but “glitches” frustrate meNo issues whatsoever with the game itself, I really enjoy playing it. The only issue I do have is it glitching at the end of the battles and freezing and then I’m not able to see where I’ve placed or claim my rewards etc. The spotlight goals are recognising that I’ve completed some but when I click to claim my stats it doesn’t do anything so I’m forced to close the game and start again then it does the same thing. This issue has happened a few times recently and is very frustrating but other than that issue absolutely obsessed with the game, would recommend to anyone..Version: 2.0.2

✓ It’s great… but one problemI just downloaded this game and it’s a really fun game! I really like the fact that it has Italian food as in margarita pizza (would be more realistic if it had olive oil cause in Naples they put olive oil in the pizza.) the only thing that really annoyed me and make me look at it in a different perspective is that when u start the second episode, it freezes up. It’s really frustrating when your almost done with a challenge and u can’t move on and u just have to start over. Other than that, it’s a great game and I 100% recommend it! ✓ Great game but I think there’s something wrongI love this game but I think I might have found a glitch or a bug and I’m hoping to get it resolved. So every time I start up the app now it says that I have to pick a save file or else I have to start all over. I choose the save file I want and then it goes through all of the beginning dialogue again and then it freezes and I have to restart the app. This is very frustrating and it’s really annoying when this happens when I start the game every day. Please try to fix this but other than that issue the game is great! ✓ Really good but definitely has its moments.This game is very fun and enjoyable but it can be quite confusing at times. A good example is when I came second online and the judges were still complaining about the speed. But again, it can be a very good game. You can unlock different recipes and new episodes. But when you get to episode two and you get recipes that give you the ability to pour ingredients such as flour, chocolate or sugar… it’s really hard to actually get the correct amount of the certain ingredients you have to pour in. This isn’t what we want to see when we’re playing it, is it?! But on the overall I classify this game as an enjoyable one. Hope the game creators of this great MasterChef game take it in to spark up some interesting updates to more recipes or different ways to make different types of food. ✓ Lag is unbearable at timesI don’t find it impossible to reach number 1, it’s simply a challenge. However, the lag is really bad sometimes. I was only practicing a recipe when the game lagged so bad it crashed. If there were options in the settings to lessen the graphics that would be appreciated. Id choose a blurry game over an unplayable one. I also don’t understand why I don’t always have access to certain ingredients during matches, it limits my options to a point where I’m never getting bonus points or being able to make a recipe. Lastly, the camera shake during the cutting scenes needs to be done away with. It makes it impossible to cut straight lines in quick succession and causes dizziness. ✓ Needs left-handed modeGood game — I’m not under the illusion that this will turn me into a cook, but at least I can get an idea of what ingredients go into some things. A few problems: I’ve noticed that I’m being beaten by players who present empty dishes (when all the dishes that people made are revealed during the awards). What gives? Is it just because I don’t have those recipes yet that I can’t see them, or are people cheating? If the former, shouldn’t there be a note or something? Finally, when pouring ingredients into a measuring bowl, my left-handedness gets in the way of seeing the measurement on the scale. ✓ Miraculous Master ChefWell, in my opinion I believe that master chef is a game that tests your skills of cooking( in a way ). When the judges say their requests you think” what is a recipe that includes ( this)”. ✓ Fun but some issuesAm I the only one who is capping out at level 8. Every time I win my points go up by the level 8 doesn’t change. It just loops and doesn’t progress. Also, it would be nice to be able to lay with friends not just randos all the time. There is an issue when putting things in the oven at times, it will make me swipe my screen up (on iPhone) and exit the game when trying to close the oven doors at times. Unlocking utensils should give an advantage not just for show. Why am I not winning trophies. I got 1st place several times sin a row and got no trophies, but I’ve got 3rd place and got trophies. Let’s make this consistent. Lastly let’s make a practice option. Be able to practice recipes to get better..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Decent game but glitchy and repetitiveI really enjoy the competitive element of this game and the general premise (though how people do the boiling bit so fast is beyond me!), but I’m getting pretty annoyed with completing challenges , receiving a new apron etc then it still being locked 🙃 (and being able to reopen the box again…) The pouring and mixing tasks are clunky and almost impossible (especially with the time element!) so I dread any recipes that involve these. That being said, it’s refreshing that there’s a mobile cooking game that doesn’t involve managing a whole restaurant as one person….Version: 1.2.0
