✓ Bugs and glitchesGame is fun. But it’s super glitchy and annoying. If you have a game that requires such precision timing and accuracy it really needs to be able to function to allow the player to achieve success. The frying pan mini game always glitches after the first arrow and stalls for an instant making the next arrow hard to time right or even triggers that arrow before I swipe. The stirring game is almost impossible to keep going because of lag. The rolling pin sticks and doesn’t complete the roll when you swipe half the time causing you to have to swipe multiple times before the game registers the action. I have noticed a few times simple math of added up points and awards are not correct (7 + 3 = 10 not 9). And now a few times I get asked which backup I’m using (I only ever use one) and when I choose the game puts me back in the tutorial. If I quit and start the game again and am back to my level but the challenges have all been reset. So it’s a good game but needs work to make it more playable and functional..Version: 1.1.0
✓ Great game but…I really enjoy this game, it ticks all the boxes for me, but have decided to delete, as am not sure how I play a round affects the result…eg. All my recipes are fully upgraded, I meet all the judge’s requirements, get incredible for everything, finish first, yet still get 6th place! Then there’s trophies…you may or may not get some whether you place or not, although they will be taken away if you’re not in the top 3! 591 trophies yesterday, 575 today😡There’s no way I’m going to be allowed to reach MasterChef, so no point to the game..Version: 1.5.5

✓ Fun, but needs improvementsThis is a cute game, but the “mixing” and “heating” functions drove me up the wall and actually ruined the experience for me that I quit the game. I recommend the devs to: -remove or fix the circular mixing function -better pan heating functionality- it took me awhile to figure out what was happening and it’s still a bit annoying -ingredient selection is not intuitive- I didn’t realise I could go left in the drawers -better skipping through the judges talking/podium scene: people are playing this over and over and don’t want to see it multiple times.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Great game but…I love this game I’ve been looking for something to keep me entertained for a while however this literally stresses me out. There’s literally no way of becoming first in chef battle because someone else completes the level within like half a second and overall the game just expects stupid standards, like I cannot make butter chicken in a 20 second timeframe. Also the game has glitches e.g. the mixing bowls; I mix at the speed it asks me to but then it marks me down anyway. ✓ This game is OKIt’s fun yes. But I KNOW that your advertising on playing with people across the world is bogus. I’ve played long enough to realize it. The game is programmed to not let you get past a certain point if your recipes aren’t leveled up enough. Doesn’t matter how fast you finish. The game knows exactly what everyone’s score is even if you finished first and are way ahead? I watched the race as I was cooking and saw an opponent jump from the first to the last step. Just skipped the entire cooking phase onto plating. I sat there and watched how fast I got through something vs how fast someone else gets through the SAME EXACT STEP; you aren’t playing with other people. And just in the sense that we are actually playing with real people, they are cheating. Plain and simple. Boiling something takes time. The opponent and I got to it at the same time. The opponent finished it in exactly half the time that I could. So please. Drop the act on we play vs real people. Because we DON’T! And if we actually do, fix your game so they don’t and can’t cheat anymore because it is unfair for the rest of us..Version: 1.2.0

✓ Entertaining enough.Prob really deserves 3 stars, but hoping 2 gets more attention. I played a few months ago and am glad to see most of the buggy issues (lagging / freezing / crashing) have been resolved. Overall the game is entertaining enough, but… A couple peeves… As the levels get higher, it gets increasingly hard to finish in 1st place. Disproportionately so. It definitely feels like you’re competing against bots – tho they claim you’re competing against actual people. For example, I recently finished my dish 1st and my performance was nearly perfect. Somehow I still finished in 5th place in the end. How is this possible? Logically, you expect to at LEAST be in the Top 4. Other times, your opponents finish impossibly fast. No matter how well you do, tasks take time. Stirring takes a precise amount of time. So does peeling, stirring, sautéing, baking, etc. If you were competing against a real human, this should be impossible to do. Then in a round when you think you’re only doing okay, you randomly are in 1st. Fills a bit too much like playing a slot machine (aka rigged). Other than that, I’ll probably stop playing for the same reason I took a hiatus in the first place. Not enough interesting avatar / ingredient / recipe / game options to keep it interesting. ✓ Very laggyThis is a fun and entertaining game. But it is very laggy. Though the lag is the main part sometimes with the weekly box if you got enough stars to get the reward the game does not even give you the reward even though you got enough stars. Recently I was playing to win the item for the weekly box you needed 17 stars to win and I got 18 stars but when I went to claim the prize it just said I got 12 stars and that I already won the item even though I didn’t. So I ended up playing the game agian to win the item and I got 18 stars but it still said that I got 12 stars and that I already won the item. So I played two games and would of won both of them but instead it just said that I did not win the game and I could not claim the item. And the game is very laggy and hard to play it did not use to be laggy but now it is and you can make a lot of mistakes from the lagging..Version: 1.3.5

✓ Don’t waste your timeWhenever you're trying to stir something it will always glitch and make you mess up its near impossible to get "incredible" on it. Same thing when you're sautéing, if you have to move in one direction twice it will double count it. You’ll go to make a recipe but it will give you ingredients you can’t even make something out of. You’re also not even playing with real people it’s just a bunch of bots. Last night I paused a match and went to get back on it this morning and everyone was still in the same part where you left off. When you’re rolling something there’s no possible way to get “incredible” on it and when something is the oven sometimes the stop button disappears. It’s impossible to get to the top 3 you’ll always be either 4th, 5th or last. Even if you did everything perfectly it’s completely rigged. Don’t even bother trying to play it..Version: 1.3.2
✓ Fun game but has some problemsI find this game a super fun and addicting to play, but it has many issues. First of all sometimes the ingredients they give you, it’s impossible to make a dish. Even if you click on every single ingredient to find options to cook, nothing comes up. Second of all the scoring is unfair. If you get did all your steps “incredible” and get first place somehow there is still someone who ranks above you. This is extremely unfair and needs to be changed. Lastly the mixing step you have to do when you make certain recipes is impossible to do. When you mix the bowl is really small and it’s super hard to mix fast because if you mix too fast the bowl spills. So usually when you do this step it’s an automatic fail. Summing it all up I think this game is really fun besides all the issues that the game has. If they fix these issues this game would get a solid five out of five! 😁.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Needs upgrades desperatelyI think this game is good, it’s a good concept too but there are so many things that need changing just slightly. I agree with what most other people are saying some of the chef’s requirements don’t make sense eg the thermometer showing red then a cooker with a cross how can I possibly do both of them at the same time? Also as due with the requirements the ingredients you get given you can’t complete them meaning you have to quit and try again. I also get the glitch with the new items now which is quite annoying. Also i cannot figure out some of the final recipes no matter what I try which is a bit annoying and even more annoying is since the tutorial when I first got the game I have never made a sushi dish again I have never had the option of the sushi roll. ✓ Fun, but glitchyThis game is fun when it works, but there are some issues that need to be worked out. With some rounds, it is impossible to create any kind of recipe. Or I can make a recipe, but it doesn’t fulfill the judge’s requests. I’ve also noticed that some ingredients are locked when I start a round. And it’s usually a requested item (judge wants meat, but the pork is locked). And this is before I’ve picked any ingredients. The stirring is a little buggy sometimes, but not unplayable. I have the biggest issue with spreading sauce on the pizzas. I don’t understand how the game decides when it’s done. I fill the whole circle and it’s still going. Overall a great start, but could use some fine tuning. I hope the developer listens to the criticisms and makes the game even better!.Version: 1.1.5
✓ BuggyI really do like this game. I've actually been playing since it was released. However, every time one bug is fixed, another one appears... All of my previous issues have been taken care of recently (the boiling mechanic, for example) which I love. However, every time they release an update, the clothes and utensils mechanic bugs out completely. I know it's not a game changer, but for people like me who hate notification bubbles, it's a nightmare. I just tried to change my wardrobe upwards of 10 times to get rid of the notification that said I had new clothing. My least favorite part of mystery boxes is when I get clothing or utensils in them because I dread trying to make that notification go away. It's bugged a lot less in the last few months, and I will give them all the props in the world for that, because this game deserves commendations. ✓ Some aprons give your avatar boobsI downloaded this game so that i could play a cooking game and also dress up an avatar at the same time . and i did this weekly box thing to get this cool fish apron!!! at least i thought it was cool then when i put it on my avatar it gave me boobs like i don't want this??? i want my avatar to be androgynous WHY would you change the body shape for some clothing items?? there is no gender option but if you are gonna put boobs in your clothes please let me choose male so i can wear fun clothes but with a flat chest. i've really looked everywhere for a gender option and i can't find one but my character only gets boobs with this apron. i want the fish apron grrrrrrr i was wary in downloading this game cause of some of the reviews (lag, hard to get first place) but honestly this has been the most frustrating part for me, prolly cause i really wanted a game that is avatar based. apple arcade needs more games with customizable avatars/characters !!!! the cooking part is okay but if you are gonna do the whole avatar thing do it right, don't make clothing change body shape, give gender options instead please like wow that's so basic for an avatar system, you have skinny and thicc but not genders?? i'm nonbinary so it's great when there is an nb option but honestly male works fine so if you at least had male and female that would be fine. it looks like some of the locked aprons have boobs too and i'm like why .....Version: 1.2.0
✓ I want to like it, but too buggyI’ve enjoyed playing this game but I have to restart about half of my games because there are no recipes possible with the ingredients they give! Thankfully there’s no penalty for quitting matches, but it’s really frustrating. Even though I have a ton of recipes in my book, I end up making the same thing several times in a row instead of being able to use the variety of what I’ve unlocked. I understand being limited on ingredients is part of the challenge but the algorithm or whatever chooses the ingredients is incredibly buggy, making the game unplayable. ✓ Several BugsSince the last major update, I feel like the game has had major problems. There are so many bugs it is hard to keep track of but here are a couple I have noticed: 1. For the daily challenges, sometimes the judges requests are for the previous version where they ask that you meet 3 of the battle requirements. This is annoying since it is impossible to meet the judge request with the new update since you pick the recipe instead of choosing ingredients like before. 2. For stamps requirement and some judge requirements, there are a lot of achievements that are not registered. For example, for the finish first in Prime Time 10 times, no matter how many times I finish first none of the wins register and it states I have zero. Another example is the make 10 butcher cuts recipeso, none of the recipes under Butcher’s Cuts register but somehow the Veal Marengo does even though it’s under Stews (and it doesn’t register as a stew recipe for stamps! 3. I had a majority of the recipes at the max level, but with the update most of these are back to level 1. This is frustrating because it is so hard to upgrade recipes especially with the new recipes. Overall, while I do enjoy the new recipes and activities, there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out which makes it difficult to enjoy the game fully..Version: 2.1.1

✓ Laggy, almost unplayableVery very laggy, often when precision is needed when cutting or boiling. Sometimes while cutting vegetables, the last chunk will fall on the side and impossible to cut properly. You’d think for such basic graphics (not even facial expressions change, very blocky graphics) it wouldn’t lag so much. I’ve lost many matches because it lagged and I ended up boiling over etc. I like the concept, the matches go by very quick so good for relatively short attention spans and when it’s not laggy it’s a pretty fun game..Version: 1.3.2

I’m not sure how to earn trophies (I have none despite winning multiple first place competitions). What are stars are for? An explanation would be nice. Many of the ingredients look the same (is it an egg or potato?). If you pick the wrong items and have to go back to change, you’re penalized for taking too long to create your dish. And how the heck do you add your name? I’ve been showing up as a “nameless player” despite registering with a name, and there’s no instructions or links to fix it. Is there benefits to changing your clothes, or using the utensils? It doesn’t appear so, so what’s the point? Not sure on way too many things because there’s no instructions..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Yes and…Based on mobile experience on iPhone 12 Pro Max on latest iOS a/o June 2022: 1) Rolling technique doesn’t seem to generate any score other than good no matter what you do (fast, slow, staccato, fluid, harsh, smooth, on tempo, off tempo. all efforts have generated the exact same result every time) 2) Primetime doesn’t actually allow for use of all 3 tickets/attempts. If you fail one of the individual heaps of a attempt but have remaining tickets, the ability to use the tickets to start over for a new attempt is not available. If you win all heaps to earn the gold box twice (using two tickets) the third attempt doesn’t allow you to play past the initial heap, even when you win, and presents a message that all tickets have used even though your using the final ticket at that time. 3) Certain ingredients seem to be limited, or not awarded equally. I’ve maxed out all recipes except for those with vanilla and oranges but I’m consistently awarded ingredients that are not vanilla or oranges. Although I’m completing challenges and opening prize boxes, the lack of being awarded necessary ingredients limits my progress..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Love it but heckin buggyThis game is super fun and addictive, especially with all the ways to customise, but very prone to glitches. For example, sometimes when you go into the character editor everything is blank until you restart the app, and if you win the prime time challenge on your last ticket of the day, you’re prevented from opening your prize box afterwards by the greyed out screen, since you have no tickets left. ✓ Just horribleOfficially deleting this app. It’s always been one of the least favorite ones I have downloaded from Apple Arcade, but officially over it after the update that has the boiling feature so jacked up. Seriously, why change it from what it was to the disaster that it is now? ✓ Fun game but a lot of the features don’t work for me.I like the game, but a lot of it doesn’t work for me. i have an iPhone 13 running on the latest ios version. after i finish cooking against other players, it just leaves me at the end of the cooking screen with no way to get out or move on. so i tried the cooking corner, to cook alone. but then when trying to get the ingredients out of the drawers, it just stopped. an arrow was telling me to swipe up (i guess? It wasn’t very clear) but doing so did nothing and i was once again stuck on the screen with quitting being the only way to get out of it. it’s a fun game when it actually works. but in the 30 minutes i played, i was able to complete 2 out of 6 things i tried. the other 4 seemed to leave me at a screen where nothing could be done. EDIT: now i’ve also tried to do the Prime Time game/event thing. i got to the recipe right before the final one, came in first for the four prior recipes. then boom, i’m stuck on a screen that just shows that everyone else is working on the recipe and i can’t do anything. can’t start, can’t continue. can’t do anything but force close the app or click “quit”. it’s rare i leave a review or delete a game bc it’s not playable for me. but this game just isn’t. it’s great fun when you can actually continue and play, but most of the time i can’t..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Recent update is awful.I used to love this game and it would occupy so much of my time but since this most recent update I don’t find myself playing it as often if at all. The new way to boil food is incredibly hard and nearly impossible to do at all, causing you to lose points. Sometimes the button when you put something in the oven doesn’t show up so you have to close out the game entirely which is especially frustrating when you’re doing the prime time challenge and using your tickets because you don’t get them back. They should also make it so the ingredients you’re given each round are guaranteed to be able to be made into a dish of some kind because it’s annoying having to quit when they don’t. ✓ Confusing in parts......I’m enjoying the game except I don’t understand some of the cooking techniques, such as boiling spaghetti and vegetables. There is no tutorial so I keep over boiling stuff as I don’t get how to do it. It’s like the developers assume you will just get it. I also don’t understand some of the judges requirements. You are presented with symbols but it’s very confusing and I just open the draws and toss out some ingredients and have no idea how to get the oven symbol requirement. Perhaps they assume you have knowledge of how to cook food in real life. I don’t eat meat or vegetables or fish or pasta or rice, eggs...I’m autistic I just eat potatoes and cheese and one type of cereal and chocolate of course. ✓ Too many bugsThis game could be so much fun! It’s hard to get boring with the amount of dishes you can make and the fun of competing against other people. However the amount of bugs and how often they occur is what’s making me uninstall. I’d say about a third of the time when I put something in the oven, the button to take it out completely disappears making it impossible to take the food out in time and completely burning it. When I’m mixing something at full speed, EVERY SINGLE TIME for some reason the game stops registering my mixing so I have to build it back up to a full speed. There’s a ton of lag and screen freezing, sometimes the game thinks I’m playing it for the first time so I have to skip through the entire intro again. It’s just too much..Version: 1.3.0

✓ Why..?This game is GREAT! I love the criticism from the judges and how you’re competing against real people, just like the show. But, I do have some criticism. Why do some aprons give you boobs? It doesn’t make sense. Then, why isn’t there a store so that you can buy food items so you can decide what to make if you really want to complete the daily challenges? Only the food items that are available to the player though. But then, I have the issue that made me type this review. IT. WILL. NOT. LOAD. Only, like, three times have I logged into the game, because all it does it go to a gray/black screen for 10-15 seconds and then closes out, rarely making a sound from the Apple Arcade introduction scene. It’s a hassle to log in, after 5-15 tries to log in, it’s hard to, as you can probably tell. But today, it just won’t let me in. I’ve tried more than 30 times to log in, but it won’t load for heavens sake! I tried updating it, deleting then reinstalling, on and on. Besides the loading problem, why is stirring so hard?!?! ✓ Fun but could be betterIt's a fun game but I believe it could be a lot better. For starters, if there was an option to play with actual people as well as invite friends to play with you. Some of the cooking features won't allow you to get any better than "Good" such as the rolling pizza dough out & sometimes the boiling (which can be frustrating because sometimes it won't allow you to change the temp at first or you'll get stuck trying to turn it up but it will be too late and it'll boil over). There is a glitch in the game for the "Prime Day" feature as well that when you're on your last ticket and you play the first match - even if you win, it won't allow you to play again because it claims you've ran out of tix even though you're using your last one. It sometimes will allow me to get past the first match but not the second and so on. Also, I believe it's not even about whose cooking techniques are better as it seems that this is all about timing for the regular play feature. No matter how many steps I'll hit "Incredible" with if I come in last I lose. Whereas when I play Prime Day I can take my time and usually get Incredible for majority of steps and always win even if I come in dead last. Overall it has great potential to be a better game; I think these are very significant changes that would be great to add to do just that!.Version: 1.5.5

✓ Fun but repetitiveThe gameplay is mostly fun, very Cooking Mama ish. Some of the tasks are a bit annoying like the stirring where even if you keep a consistent pace it goes out of the green area randomly, or pouring ingredients where it’s really hard to precise compared to other tasks. The main issue is that it takes ages to level up and unlock new recipes. You’re stuck with a relatively low number of recipes and each ‘episode’ tends to give you requirements to do with the recipes for that ‘episode’ except there aren’t many new recipes per episode. You end up making the same recipe over and over again. It needs more variety in recipes so levelling up to unlock more doesn’t become so tedious..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Needs a lot of improvementThis is my favorite cooking app because it reminds me of cooking mama and i like masterchef. i have noticed some issues with it though first, it just needs a lot more. you can finish the daily challenges in 10 minutes and then there’s nothing interesting to do until prime time. the game needs more goals to work towards, and it needs a way better online function. the option to play with friends would be great. also, you’re obviously just playing against ghosts of players and that means that they can get unfeasible times on recipes because they aren’t a real player cooking with you. in prime time i have to serve my pizzas raw if i dont want to finish last because the bots just skip the waiting time. glitches: the game is very laggy for whatever reason, and a few things i have noticed is that when cooking pizza the button to stop the oven will sometimes disappear so your pizza burns. sometimes while loading into a game it will stop at 90% and you have to close the game and reopen it. those are just a few problems with what could be a really fun app..Version: 1.3.0

✓ Fun but with more than one glitchThis game is fun but it glitches a lot, for example: - Game screen keeps freezing - Music and Sound is either at the wrong time(continuous drum after you present a dish) or glitches out (half the time the music does not play at all when the volume is at max and devices are properly connected) - And my trophies go back to 400 after a game, I should have a total of about 430 - 450 now And I have nearly beat the whole game in about a week. ✓ Great game but a few problems.Awesome idea for a game and it is created really nicely. Although for a game that depends timing and smoothness, it can get choppy and laggy, it becomes frustrating to do simpler tasks (especially the whisking) . I’ve come across a couple of bugs. One where it doesn’t show me the next task and I’m left staring at an empty bench, so my only option is to go back to main screen . The other where I put something in the oven, and got a ‘good’ scoring but it didn’t go to the next task, so I could keep pressing the button and get stars but I was stuck in that task. Though this doesn’t discourage me from playing because I love the concept and I recommend it to other people who love food, but it does get pretty annoying..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Where are the vanilla and orange cards??Before I talk about the game's good points, I want to talk about the probable bug in the game's recipe upgrade system. You earn "cards" in master boxes when you complete challenges; these can be used to upgrade your recipes. An upgraded recipe means you start with a higher base number of stars right off the bat when you select that recipe in a match. Vanilla and orange cards seem to be missing; they almost never appear in master boxes. I have several recipes from the very BEGINNING SEASON of the game that are still not upgraded because they need vanilla. Pastel de nata is 4/11, strawberry tart is 1/11, kasekuchen is 6/11, carrot and lemon cheesecake are both 5/11, citrus macarons are 5/11. In comparison, ALL other recipes--including the most recent--are 10 or 11/11. The game is a lot of fun overall, but this puts a damper on wanting to do challenges when the only things you need to upgrade are the things you can't. The recipe actions and mini games are great, though the action is sometimes a bit janky (opening oven doors often minimises the game, flipping one arrow in the pan often catches the next arrow and gives you a "poor" rating). I always get a kick out of peeling coconuts with a peeler, too..Version: 1.3.2

✓ Bring the Old MasterChef BackI loved the concept of this game before the update. I came back to it recently and it looks like another game. I hate the way you changed it. The game was perfectly fine, I have no idea what the developers were thinking. I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because this game was so good, I loved the arcade concept and how you had to pick ingredients to see which recipes you can do and you always can pick different recipes. Now you just have to press what recipe to cook with instead of picking random ingredients to see what other things there are. But here I go anyways! Anyhow, I love the concept of this game and it’s fun to cure some boredom. But this game is glitched, rigged, and has many issues. For starters, the oven stop button disappears causing you to burn food and fail, sometimes you aren’t given enough ingredients to make a dish forcing you to quit, you’re definitely not playing with real people as it seems to advertise, sometimes the game simply stops loading, this also feels more like a race to finish before others more than perfecting and making great food…….and on top of those things you can only earn so many food boxes a day which doesn’t help you upgrade your earned recipes. The two most aggravating issues for me is that…. 1 your not playing with real people and that makes it fun 🙄…. and 2 the oven button disappears all the flippen time causing you to fail even when you have done your BEST at the rest of the meal which is INFURIATING! ✓ Impossible to winThis game seems so rigged to make me lose and it’s just not fun to play anymore. When I first started playing, I could get in the top 3 every time. But recently it’s impossible for me to get in the top 3. I can get an “incredible” on almost every single move and will have all 3 requirements, plus extra stars because of how high the level is on the recipe. But I can do so good on it and come in first place, but somehow I’ll still end up in dead last. How is it these people are getting ahead of me? First off, The game crashes, so much in the beginning, and after you’ve played a while, the game gets stuck on [67%] for me and it also won’t let me play prime time again with the same person. ✓ The Boiling TechniqueI downloaded the app even after reading some reviews as I found the game intriguing. Pros: It’s enjoyable and there is always a reward to be claimed even if it’s just experience points to level you up. The customizable outfits, utensils, and leveling up the ingredients are a great touch. The colors and the aesthetic of the game is so cool. I love cooking games and appreciate not having to turn my phone sideways as well as no ad spam everyone a match is over! Prime Time was a great addition. Cons: The boiling technique. Oh my gosh it’s aggravating. I just don’t get it. Lower the heat to follow the green for too long and the food doesn’t cook, don’t follow the green and boil the food, but then it boils over?! It’s almost impossible to get good or impressive when boiling. Hope that gets fixed soon. Needing to unlock new recipes?! Good luck with that. Seems like the only time I discover new recipes is when I play Prime Time. What’s up with that?! Let’s say I want to experiment, so I grab bacon first to see what else I can make with it? ✓ Game Saving NightmareSpectacular game with necessary improvements needed. These include, gameplay mechanics like stirring and rolling. A clear how to library for players wanting to learn individual skills. In addition, more in game experiences. It can get boring quickly without more immediate channels for play. Last but currently not least, the game saving slots is in need of immediate repair. I’ve stop playing unfortunately only after maybe 30-40 rounds in after installing and I utilized the saving mode feature to save all my content in one slot. This was a big mistake because it has caused the system to repeatedly ask me after each round if I would like to save slot one or slot one both saying slot one but showing different gaming activity levels. I initially kept selecting the slot that had the current and full stats. Once I saw that saving was a problem I sacrificed my correct stats with the slot the game keep presenting me, also indicated as slot one actives. in a gamble to see if it would have reverted or fixed the problem entirely I choice the opposite for a change and even that did absolutely nothing besides wiping my previous stats and rewards. I tried deleting the slot but there is not option. Even now the game is asking to save in which slot. I’m over it. Thank you. I’ll check back once it’s fixed in a few months..Version: 1.3.5
