✓ Terrible experienceUpdate I’ve been looking for an excuse to delete this game. Cooking live crabs, disgusting, that finishes it for me. I see a sudden recent bunch of glowing 5 star reviews for this game, interesting, and always suspicious. It’s typical of its genre, slightly more generous with rewards than average, and still looking for your money, despite playing very frequent ads. There are also a couple of stupidly difficult restaurants, look out for the eggs, then the sushi, impossibly difficult so not fun. Also gets really laggy in places, making it even harder to reach targets. This game starts off beautifully, fast, fun, addictive, then starts to become more difficult to pass without buying boosts, then impossible to do so. I’m very experienced having tried out lots of these over the years, so Developers please don’t respond by telling me I just need to practice more! I don't mind at all paying for good fun games, but this game is asking WAY more than it is worth, and preying on folk who get addicted. Be aware, and try something else instead. Addition, having now received the Developer response, I would say, that VERY few people will get through without buying any boosts, if any. They keep saying this stuff, it’s not true. They have to make money, I get it, but taking all the fun out isn’t the way. Notice how many times you get “not enough customers” over and over, 40 crystals to get more, and sometimes even then it isn’t enough. And you will soon run out of time to play, so that getting more time takes crystals too. Far too much money being asked for what is in many ways a nice enough game. Aggressive monetisation has ruined it..Version: 1.6.13
✓ Probably one of the best games i’ve played but...Updating my review just to let the developers know they’ve gone too far with the difficulty in the gelato restaurant. Its absurd. ✓ Fun but riggedThis game could be great if the game didn’t stack the odds against you. Currently in the seafood restaurant and even with the full upgrades, the time to actually cook the food is still slow and I’ll have 4 or 5 customers asking for fish yet only 3 plates. Plus 3 more asking for lobster. Another case has 2 or 3 customers asking for 3 ice creams and the next customers asking for 2 more ice creams except I only have 3 cups to fill and again, the time to make the ice cream, even fully upgraded is still slow. ✓ What you expectedThe game is like a worse cooking fever, of course it has microtransactions and all that. But what makes this game such a pain is the combo system, you can earn gems by getting 2 or more stars per level but it’s almost impossible to do cause the customers don’t come often enough to earn the combos. It makes 0 sense, so in theory you get no gems so it’s just pointless to even try. Even at level 1 your lucky if you get 2 stars which only gives you 1 gem. ✓ Too freemiumWhile the game can be entertaining to a point, the freemium nature ruins the gameplay experience a lot, you’re essentially forced to wait for or buy boosts to get through so many of the levels and sometimes those boosts aren’t actually enough. One of the worst parts is the double tap trash mechanic because it is way too easy to double tap something when you’re trying to get through levels, particularly levels where you need to go fast to keep the mood meter up and it means often boosts are wasted because you lose the level either way..Version: 1.8.0
✓ Absolute Joke of an appThis is the most scabby cooking app I have played, and I’ve played them all. No extra shifts to earn extra coins which makes it impossible to gather enough to start off with nice upgrading when you reach a new restaurant. They make you use boosters on the first 4 levels of a new restaurant in order to pass, which of course you need to spend money on buying the boosters to pass. And if you do, they basically make you use them all right away. They are the only cooking app I have come across which give you no free second chances and their rewards are absolute rubbish and packages are no value for money at all. ✓ It was fun for a bit but got rlly difficult and pay to playI really enjoyed this game at first. I needed something to entertain myself with as I’m quarantined. However, as you get to later levels such as the seafood or burger joint, some of the coin levels are impossible to beat. You can do every order without missing a customer but you can still be coins off causing you to have to spend diamonds regardless to get extra customers. However, once you get to the Tokyo restaurants, it is ridiculously, stupidly difficult! And I play a lot of these games. Customers come way too quickly for what you can actually cook and I was using multiple boosters every level just to pass. I also could not earn enough money to upgrade every item even to the first level, there are way to many items to upgrade and the upgrades are too expensive but it is necessary to upgrade everything. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I had to delete the game. Developers, please revise the difficulty level. You should be able to pass levels and upgrade items without using boosters constantly and spending copious amounts of money. I know you say it is theoretically possible but it really isn’t. The other levels were doable but you literally have to purchase gems to prolong the level or get extra customers with almost each level. The money you make prior to going to a new place doesn’t transfer so you start with whatever they decide to give you for that location which is usually nothing or not enough to purchase the upgrades you need to win a level. Also, once I got to the pizza restaurant in Venice on the first level I wasn’t able to pass. I would have to upgrade something to win on THE FIRST LEVEL which is something that has not happened before in this game or in most games like this. I understand these developers have to make money but at least try and make it subtle. ✓ The tutorials...The tutorials are horrid...you can’t skip them, and they have one literally every level until about level 10...then during the events, it forces you to go through another tutorial consisting of common sense basics from previous levels. I also hate that they force you to use your gems to buy the power ups or candies during the tutorials...I would give it 5 stars if we could skip tutorials and not be forced to buy things with the gems/diamonds during the tutorials. ✓ Please Read!I really love this game and I have spent my own money on it. It has been very nice to have during quarantine BUT I do wish coins travelled with you between worlds. Also, I finished through Hong Kong and nothing happened even though the map key shows two more “worlds”. Perhaps the content hasn’t been created? Two other small things that could be fixed... 1. The pause menu will show up when you tap close to the bottom which is where a lot of the food items are located and 2. Sometimes when you get going fast using the automatic pan where items are ready immediately and you tap for multiple of one item like a drink, it reads it as wanting to throw something away which can cost you on levels where you aren’t supposed to discard items.
